- 0:00Speaker 1: And now move the sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:07Speaker 2: What's up, everybody?
- 0:07Speaker 1: Welcome to move the sticks, DJ, Bucky Rhet back with
- 0:11Speaker 1: you and guys.
- 0:12Speaker 2: We got a lot to get to today.
- 0:13Speaker 1: We've got a couple Monday nighters, which I know we
- 0:15Speaker 1: touched on this last week, Buck, but I think I've
- 0:19Speaker 1: got a firm opinion on this now. I've for seeing
- 0:21Speaker 1: it for a couple weeks. I don't like the two
- 0:22Speaker 1: games at the same time.
- 0:23Speaker 3: I'm out.
- 0:24Speaker 1: I'm out on the two games starting at the same time,
- 0:26Speaker 1: not having it.
- 0:27Speaker 3: It was an hour they ever staggered an hour.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Yeah, but it needs to be a bigger stagger if
- 0:32Speaker 4: they're gonna be on the same time. It almost has
- 0:33Speaker 4: to be like a college football doubleheader where you have
- 0:36Speaker 4: enough time to watch one before you turn over to
- 0:38Speaker 4: the other.
- 0:39Speaker 5: I don't mind watching maybe.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Like the last quarter having to flip back and forth,
- 0:43Speaker 4: but like I mean, the whole game, you're talking back
- 0:45Speaker 4: and forth.
- 0:46Speaker 5: So I'm with DJ.
- 0:47Speaker 4: I want to space it out a little bit, or
- 0:49Speaker 4: why don't we do a Monday Tuesday night deal something
- 0:52Speaker 4: like that so we can get.
- 0:53Speaker 3: All the games.
- 0:54Speaker 6: The only negative to me would be the four fifteen
- 1:00Speaker 6: Pacific time start out here is a little tough. I
- 1:02Speaker 6: got a lot going on in at four o'clock hour.
- 1:05Speaker 6: We're talking school picks, school pickup. I'm usually not catching
- 1:08Speaker 6: that thing till you know, halftime. So definitely had to
- 1:11Speaker 6: go back and rewatch a lot of that Eagles Buccketeers game,
- 1:14Speaker 6: but did catch plenty of the Rams Bengals matchup, that's
- 1:18Speaker 6: for sure.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Yeah, No, it was. I like, I'm okay with two games.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Just space them outs. We get a chance to see
- 1:25Speaker 1: both of them. I don't like having to choose. The
- 1:27Speaker 1: choices are for Saturdays and Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays. I
- 1:31Speaker 1: don't like i ney choices. I want the menu to
- 1:33Speaker 1: be presented. I want it to be preset. And so
- 1:34Speaker 1: that's just my let's jump into these games exactly Philly.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Let's get to this Philly Tampa game. We'll start there,
- 1:42Speaker 1: bucking go anywhere you want to go. You can look
- 1:44Speaker 1: on the defense with Jalen Carter in that front, how
- 1:47Speaker 1: dominant they were the offensive line for the Eagles, I mean,
- 1:49Speaker 1: swift going off. You can go anywhere you want to
- 1:52Speaker 1: go on the Eagle side of things. What stood out
- 1:54Speaker 1: to you, Well, let's.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Just talk about the Eagles and how the expectations for
- 1:59Speaker 4: the Eagles had made it where they can dominate a
- 2:01Speaker 4: game and do it in a fashion when you win
- 2:03Speaker 4: by two touchdowns. But everyone is still kind of wanting
- 2:06Speaker 4: more from this team because they were so dominant season ago.
- 2:09Speaker 4: I guess we expect them to kind of pick up
- 2:12Speaker 4: where they left off, and that's just not how it goes.
- 2:14Speaker 4: I would say, when I'm watching this team, I see
- 2:16Speaker 4: a team that has the ability to beat you a
- 2:18Speaker 4: few different ways. They can absolutely run it down your
- 2:20Speaker 4: throat and kill you with a bunch of gut punches
- 2:22Speaker 4: where you have DeAndre Swift and Jalen Hurts and those
- 2:25Speaker 4: guys running the football at will, and they still have
- 2:28Speaker 4: the ability to have an explosive pass game. That passing
- 2:31Speaker 4: game hasn't clicked yet, but you can see where they
- 2:33Speaker 4: want to go with it. And then you guys talked
- 2:35Speaker 4: about the defense and those things Dalen Carter and their
- 2:38Speaker 4: front and what they're doing. I'm just saying the Eagles
- 2:41Speaker 4: haven't played their best ball, but here they are sitting
- 2:42Speaker 4: pretty at three to zero, and you already can envision
- 2:45Speaker 4: this team battling the San Francisco forty nine is for
- 2:47Speaker 4: the number one seed in the conference.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's where I would go big picture
- 2:52Speaker 1: of this is a team that matches up very well
- 2:54Speaker 1: with everybody with this front, but specifically the forty nine ers.
- 2:57Speaker 1: That collision is coming down the road here. We've been
- 2:59Speaker 1: talking about all offseason and end of this year. Jalen Carter, guys,
- 3:03Speaker 1: I went and broke that down. I mean, he's the
- 3:05Speaker 1: interesting thing. He only played twenty one snaps in this game.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Seventeen of them are pass rush reps, only four reps
- 3:11Speaker 1: against the run, So they're basically just able to use
- 3:13Speaker 1: him as a situational rusher at this point in time.
- 3:16Speaker 1: That's the luxury they have. He might be the defensive
- 3:19Speaker 1: rookie of the year, on pace to be the defensive
- 3:21Speaker 1: rookie of the year, and he's playing twenty, you know,
- 3:23Speaker 1: a little over twenty snaps a game here. They don't
- 3:25Speaker 1: even need him.
- 3:26Speaker 2: They have so many.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Different guys that are rolling through. Nolan Smith is someone
- 3:30Speaker 1: who flashes every week. He's yet to play more than
- 3:32Speaker 1: seven snaps in a game through three weeks. So they're
- 3:35Speaker 1: going to be able to preserve all these guys. They're
- 3:37Speaker 1: going to stay fresh throughout the whole year because the
- 3:39Speaker 1: unbelievable amount of depth they have up front. And then
- 3:42Speaker 1: on the other side of the ball, Rhett we were
- 3:44Speaker 1: texting about this going through the tip this morning.
- 3:47Speaker 2: This offensive line.
- 3:48Speaker 1: You know, what's Kelsey's ability to get up to the
- 3:50Speaker 1: second level, Dickerson as a poller. Then you've got Lane
- 3:53Speaker 1: Johnson still the best right tackle in the NFL. They
- 3:57Speaker 1: mauled a very very big, physical front and the Bucks
- 4:00Speaker 1: and you don't see lanes like that very often.
- 4:02Speaker 2: That DeAndre Swift was able to run through.
- 4:05Speaker 6: Yeah, and that jumped out immediately. And I guess I'll
- 4:07Speaker 6: just say this quickly about the Bucks. I mean, it
- 4:09Speaker 6: was kind of a fun, you know story early on.
- 4:12Speaker 6: You know, they go to and Oh, I don't think
- 4:13Speaker 6: many people expected a ton out of Tampa this year,
- 4:15Speaker 6: but they found a way to win their first two games.
- 4:17Speaker 6: They're gonna be in some games, you know, down the
- 4:18Speaker 6: stretch here, but they look totally uncomfortable defensively in this game.
- 4:22Speaker 6: I mean, the Philadelphia Eagles have asked what twenty six
- 4:26Speaker 6: first downs, and eleven of them they got on the ground.
- 4:30Speaker 3: And I'm not talking about all.
- 4:31Speaker 6: Short yardage you know, tush push situations like you know,
- 4:35Speaker 6: you look at I think one of the one of
- 4:37Speaker 6: their very first first downs is an explosive play where
- 4:40Speaker 6: they're just I mean they pulled Jason Kelcey's like a
- 4:43Speaker 6: lead blocker through a I mean just a massive runway
- 4:47Speaker 6: for DeAndre Swift goes from fourteen yards.
- 4:49Speaker 3: It's like an RPO and the.
- 4:50Speaker 6: Linebackers are four yards they take they go four yards
- 4:54Speaker 6: backwards before even realizing it's actually run. So the runway
- 4:59Speaker 6: and the gap between the first and second level is
- 5:01Speaker 6: just so huge on some of those plays. Then they
- 5:04Speaker 6: had a third and six, which you know, look to
- 5:06Speaker 6: to Tampa's you know defense here. I mean that's it's
- 5:09Speaker 6: a pretty big passing tendency down right, And so you
- 5:12Speaker 6: got as you were telling as we were talking about DJ,
- 5:14Speaker 6: you know, Todd Bowles overloads to the boundary side and
- 5:18Speaker 6: what do the Eagles do, Well, They're just going to
- 5:19Speaker 6: run his zone play to the field and it's three
- 5:21Speaker 6: on two.
- 5:22Speaker 3: It's an explosive play.
- 5:24Speaker 6: So you know, look that good good game planning on
- 5:26Speaker 6: the Eagle side, seeing tendencies and finding ways to exploit those.
- 5:30Speaker 6: It just I mean, they mauled guys all over the
- 5:33Speaker 6: field here, and it was it was fun to watch
- 5:35Speaker 6: if you're an Eagles fan.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Yeah, and I will say, just kind of put a
- 5:38Speaker 1: bowl on that one. The Bucks look that they're going
- 5:41Speaker 1: to be in it, in that division. That division is
- 5:43Speaker 1: not going to run away from them. They've got a
- 5:44Speaker 1: real chance to win this division. Yes, get into the
- 5:46Speaker 1: postseason and kind of a reset year. So you know, look,
- 5:50Speaker 1: it's not not all hope is lost there in Tampa.
- 5:51Speaker 1: They're going to have a chance to stay in this
- 5:53Speaker 1: race all the way to the end.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Buck.
- 5:55Speaker 1: By the way, I do notice that anytime we talk
- 5:57Speaker 1: about the Georgia Bulldogs, your dog gets just fired up
- 6:00Speaker 1: the background right there. It's just they have so unfortunately
- 6:03Speaker 1: what's going on.
- 6:05Speaker 4: She knows what's going on. She knows whenever we talk
- 6:08Speaker 4: about the Bulldogs. She kind of as as an American bulldog.
- 6:11Speaker 4: She's like, Hey, whoa those my people, my cousin, let
- 6:13Speaker 4: me make sust So she wants to make sure that
- 6:16Speaker 4: she gets involved and.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Supports her pep. Yeah, I mean Obo, that's it.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, now let's let's get to the next one.
- 6:24Speaker 1: If you have a Bengal, if you have a Bengal,
- 6:25Speaker 1: tiger in the yard. Then we got real problems here.
- 6:27Speaker 1: But Bengals here take away on that one buck, What
- 6:32Speaker 1: do you got.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Joe Burrow kind of sucking it up for the team
- 6:37Speaker 4: and showing up like I was really worried about Joe
- 6:39Speaker 4: Burrow playing in this one because of the calf, and
- 6:41Speaker 4: the calf has been a lingering issue. But look, he
- 6:44Speaker 4: sold out for his team. He comes back, he understands
- 6:46Speaker 4: the challenge that it would be if this team had
- 6:48Speaker 4: fallen to win three. So he plays, and he plays
- 6:51Speaker 4: in a very controlled fashion. They find a way to
- 6:53Speaker 4: really unlock Jamar Chase, and they didn't do it in
- 6:56Speaker 4: a fashion way. They're pushing the ball down the field.
- 6:57Speaker 4: They moved him around, put him in the slot, got
- 6:59Speaker 4: him some easy lay us where you can touch the
- 7:01Speaker 4: ball twelve catches head over one hundred yards. These are
- 7:04Speaker 4: the things that the Bengals have to do because in
- 7:06Speaker 4: this new NFL where they're taking away the deep ball,
- 7:09Speaker 4: you're going to have to manufacture production for your best
- 7:13Speaker 4: players and hope that they can break up, tackle and
- 7:15Speaker 4: make things happen for the Bengals. It was a nice start,
- 7:18Speaker 4: even though it wasn't the high powered offense that we're
- 7:20Speaker 4: going to custom to see in the last two years
- 7:22Speaker 4: it was a very efficient, effective offense. They're really complimented
- 7:26Speaker 4: a very stingy and stout effort from their defense.
- 7:30Speaker 6: Yeah, and that's that's kind of where I would go
- 7:32Speaker 6: other it's just to say on Burrow, I mean, you know,
- 7:35Speaker 6: zero snaps from under center right. They knew what they
- 7:37Speaker 6: wanted to do with him, they wanted they knew how
- 7:38Speaker 6: they wanted to protect him. He didn't throw a ton,
- 7:40Speaker 6: you know, outside of the pocket. He was comfortable inside
- 7:43Speaker 6: of the pocket. That's where he wanted to get it
- 7:44Speaker 6: out of his hands. And you know, I love the
- 7:47Speaker 6: competitor that he is. I love you know how he
- 7:50Speaker 6: you know, shows up for his team when they need
- 7:52Speaker 6: it and figure out a way to push through, you know,
- 7:54Speaker 6: a tough injury. But I just like, I wonder if
- 7:57Speaker 6: we're going to get to a point here where they're
- 7:59Speaker 6: going to be able, we're going to be able to
- 8:01Speaker 6: put that concern to bed and you're not going to
- 8:03Speaker 6: be like holding your breath on every drop back right
- 8:05Speaker 6: on every passing attempt where shoot, he steps wrong one
- 8:08Speaker 6: of these plays and you know you're down for a
- 8:11Speaker 6: month and you certainly don't want that to happen as
- 8:14Speaker 6: you start getting later into the season when these wins,
- 8:17Speaker 6: you know, you really want to be stacking these things up.
- 8:18Speaker 6: But I love that it's working out for him right now,
- 8:21Speaker 6: and I'm glad he said that they didn't suffer any
- 8:23Speaker 6: setbacks on that calf throughout this game. The thing I'll say,
- 8:26Speaker 6: and if you look, if you're listening to the broadcast,
- 8:27Speaker 6: and he heard Rolovski and Riddick just absolutely you know,
- 8:31Speaker 6: pumping up lou Anaroumo and rightly so, I mean, he
- 8:34Speaker 6: was fantastic in this game. The way he was dialing
- 8:36Speaker 6: up pressure. He didn't even I mean, look, he pressured
- 8:38Speaker 6: I think like thirty percent of the time. It wasn't
- 8:40Speaker 6: like the eighty six percent of the time DJ in
- 8:43Speaker 6: the game that you saw with the Chargers and Vikings.
- 8:45Speaker 6: Yeah on Sunday, but it felt like there was constant
- 8:48Speaker 6: pressure right. It felt like they were bringing it from
- 8:50Speaker 6: all over the place. The stunts in the games that
- 8:52Speaker 6: they were doing up front with Hendrickson and Hubbard and
- 8:55Speaker 6: Logan Wilson got into the action too. I mean like
- 8:57Speaker 6: they just they overwhelmed the Rams offensive line and did
- 9:01Speaker 6: a pretty good job of Puka Nakua, first team to actually,
- 9:04Speaker 6: you know, keep him under one hundred yards receiving on
- 9:06Speaker 6: the year, So that's off.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it was interesting just looking at this Rams team,
- 9:11Speaker 1: you know, on a day I don't know why I
- 9:13Speaker 1: was thinking about this, just on a day where you
- 9:14Speaker 1: saw the Bucks playing in the other primetime game here
- 9:17Speaker 1: on Monday night, and I'm thinking about Stafford the throw,
- 9:20Speaker 1: the Cooper Cup, the Super Bowl year. Just what that
- 9:23Speaker 1: complexion of that team look like versus how many new
- 9:26Speaker 1: faces and new guys they.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Have on this Rams team. They have flipped it over.
- 9:29Speaker 1: They're playing a lot of young guys in their competitive
- 9:31Speaker 1: so they've been better than advertised. To me, what the
- 9:35Speaker 1: expectations were. They lost a closer, They lost a close one.
- 9:39Speaker 1: They're one thing I want to point out here before
- 9:40Speaker 1: we wrap up this game. The bye week for the
- 9:43Speaker 1: Cincinnati Bengals is coming up. That is October twenty second,
- 9:46Speaker 1: so they have three more. If Burrow can kind of
- 9:49Speaker 1: limp his way through at Tennessee at Arizona and then
- 9:54Speaker 1: Seattle at home, that's not I mean, that's not a.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Murderer's row there.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So if you're you're hopeful that this limited version of
- 10:01Speaker 1: Joe Burrow can just kind of do what he did
- 10:03Speaker 1: last night, and that's just just get him to the
- 10:05Speaker 1: finish line. Find a way to win a game. It
- 10:06Speaker 1: doesn't necessarily have to be pretty. It's not vintage Joe Burrow.
- 10:10Speaker 1: But if you can get to that bye, you're gonna
- 10:12Speaker 1: need to rest up then because coming out of that buy,
- 10:15Speaker 1: they're gonna face at San Francisco and then the Buffalo Bills.
- 10:18Speaker 1: So those are two heavyweight matches waiting for them. So
- 10:21Speaker 1: get to the bye. That's the hope here. If you're
- 10:24Speaker 1: the if you're the Cincinnati Bengals. All right, let's take
- 10:27Speaker 1: a quick break. We'll come back. We'll jump into the rookies,
- 10:30Speaker 1: a little recap off what we saw last week, and
- 10:31Speaker 1: we'll have our rookie draft for Week four right after this.
- 10:39Speaker 1: All right, let's take a look at the rookies that
- 10:42Speaker 1: we had in week three. If you look at our
- 10:45Speaker 1: draft last week, I had Richardson got me zero points
- 10:48Speaker 1: because he didn't place. Bryce Young didn't play for Rett,
- 10:51Speaker 1: so Bucky got the quarterback with Stroud, I barely won
- 10:54Speaker 1: in the running back with b Jhon Robinson. Bucky got
- 10:57Speaker 1: a second place finished then Bucky came back and also
- 11:00Speaker 1: one with the wide receiver was Jay Flowers. So big
- 11:03Speaker 1: week with Buck, and he leads the season total now
- 11:06Speaker 1: with fifteen points. So strong week there, Buck, And I
- 11:10Speaker 1: think one of the reasons why you're sitting here in
- 11:12Speaker 1: first place is because of the performance of the guy
- 11:15Speaker 1: you saw last week in CJ.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Stroud.
- 11:16Speaker 1: We touched on it yesterday, but I feel like we
- 11:19Speaker 1: can give a little more love there from what you've
- 11:21Speaker 1: seen from the Ohio State quarterback.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Look.
- 11:25Speaker 5: C J.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Stroud is everything that we loved about his game when
- 11:28Speaker 4: we used to talk about him on paths to the draft.
- 11:30Speaker 4: We talked about how natural he was as a passer,
- 11:32Speaker 4: how he liked to operate from the pocket, and just
- 11:36Speaker 4: look the way that he could just change the touch, timing,
- 11:39Speaker 4: anticipation of velocity on the throws.
- 11:41Speaker 5: He just thought was a very catchuble ball.
- 11:43Speaker 4: The part that I'm really most impressed with and watching
- 11:45Speaker 4: him is just a maturity that he displays on the field.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Played without four of his offensive linemen, played with the
- 11:51Speaker 4: defense that didn't really have media their starters, but didn't
- 11:55Speaker 4: really matter. He did what franchise quarterbacks are supposed to do.
- 11:58Speaker 4: He elevated the team. And when you think of about
- 12:00Speaker 4: the first three starts and how he is with Justin
- 12:03Speaker 4: Herbin and Cam Newton as the only guys they have
- 12:05Speaker 4: three starts where they go over nine hundred passing yards.
- 12:09Speaker 4: That's really impressive. In the fact that he hasn't thrown
- 12:12Speaker 4: an interception. To me, that speaks volumes about his ability
- 12:15Speaker 4: to play winning football. This Texans team may have gotten
- 12:18Speaker 4: it right with their franchise quarterback. There's a reason to
- 12:21Speaker 4: be optimistic if you're a Houston Texans fan.
- 12:23Speaker 6: Yeah, And I feel like he's built a ton of
- 12:26Speaker 6: trust right up with the coaching staff, with Bobby Slowick,
- 12:29Speaker 6: and with with everybody that has a hand in the
- 12:31Speaker 6: offensive game plan, because there doesn't seem to be any guardrails,
- 12:35Speaker 6: Like they're gonna push the ball down the field. They're
- 12:36Speaker 6: gonna put in his hands thirty times and trust him
- 12:39Speaker 6: to protect it, trust him to find his playmakers. And man,
- 12:43Speaker 6: I feel like I've been saying it for like a
- 12:45Speaker 6: year or two now. This Texans team has been it's
- 12:48Speaker 6: been a slow build now, but they have been slowly
- 12:51Speaker 6: building some interesting and kind of fun pieces, young pieces
- 12:56Speaker 6: along the offensive side of the ball, with you know,
- 12:58Speaker 6: John Metchi just to get his feet wet. Tank Dell
- 13:01Speaker 6: obviously is the rookie this year, is you know, exploding
- 13:04Speaker 6: right now, and especially in the explosive pass game. You
- 13:07Speaker 6: know Pierce from last year back Revin Jordan's starting to
- 13:10Speaker 6: get back into the game plan a little bit too,
- 13:13Speaker 6: and you know, Nico Collins is starting to open up
- 13:16Speaker 6: his game. Like there's just this team been, this offense
- 13:19Speaker 6: in particular growing with the quarterback that they feel like
- 13:22Speaker 6: is their guy moving forward. I think speaks volumes and
- 13:26Speaker 6: it's gonna be fun to watch in Houston, not just
- 13:28Speaker 6: for the rest of this year, but for the next
- 13:30Speaker 6: couple of years.
- 13:31Speaker 2: You know, it's interesting.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I was just looking at his numbers and comparing Stroud
- 13:35Speaker 1: and let's just you know, why not, let's just go
- 13:37Speaker 1: right to the very tippy top of the league. Everybody
- 13:39Speaker 1: knows Patrick Mahomes is the best player in the league.
- 13:41Speaker 1: He's been the best player in the league for a
- 13:42Speaker 1: while now. And this is an incredibly small sample size,
- 13:45Speaker 1: but when you start looking at like average depth of
- 13:48Speaker 1: target yards per attempt, you know, adjusted completion percenters, like
- 13:53Speaker 1: these numbers are all very close. You know, through the
- 13:55Speaker 1: first three games, for east of those players. So when
- 13:57Speaker 1: you're stacking up, when you're stacking up against the best
- 14:00Speaker 1: in the business and and don't look all that dissimilar,
- 14:04Speaker 1: that's a heck of a start for CJ. Stroud and
- 14:06Speaker 1: you know, Buck. To me, I think this is something
- 14:11Speaker 1: where this is obviously just the beginning. He's just getting started.
- 14:13Speaker 1: But when you see early on in somebody, it's hard
- 14:16Speaker 1: to tell it. Sometimes it takes three years to figure
- 14:18Speaker 1: these guys out. This game does not look fast for him,
- 14:21Speaker 1: it does not look big for him, And I feel
- 14:23Speaker 1: like this is just the this is just the platform
- 14:25Speaker 1: he's getting ready to continue to grow. So that's it's
- 14:28Speaker 1: got to be pretty exciting if you're a Texans fan,
- 14:30Speaker 1: you got your guy, yes.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's super exciting for them because we
- 14:33Speaker 4: talked about how hard it is a fine they guy,
- 14:35Speaker 4: and you're right, DJ, you talk about like sometimes you
- 14:38Speaker 4: can just look and they passed the eyeball tests. In
- 14:40Speaker 4: terms of the game is not too fast for they
- 14:42Speaker 4: kind of step into the light when everyone is expecting
- 14:45Speaker 4: them to play at a high level. He has done that.
- 14:47Speaker 4: It'd be curious to see how he continues to progress
- 14:50Speaker 4: over the course of the season. He's there, but I
- 14:52Speaker 4: can't wait to see what Anthony Rigiston and Bryce Young
- 14:54Speaker 4: also do the rest of the season.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Yeah, well, let's uh, let's see if you can maintain
- 15:00Speaker 1: your role here. Buck, you're leading this whole thing, this
- 15:02Speaker 1: rookie draft that. I'll be honest, I don't even know
- 15:04Speaker 1: if Bucky was all in on this. He was, he
- 15:06Speaker 1: was pulled into this whole thing, and yet here he
- 15:08Speaker 1: is dominating through three weeks.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I'm not happy about it.
- 15:11Speaker 3: The receivers look pretty close.
- 15:13Speaker 6: That was a pretty tight race to get that win
- 15:16Speaker 6: for the wide outside. I think we were all like
- 15:18Speaker 6: within a couple of points of each other.
- 15:20Speaker 4: We don't care about closest. We just care about the
- 15:22Speaker 4: bottom line. We're just about the bottom line business. We
- 15:24Speaker 4: don't worry about how.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Close it was. Did you win or did you lose?
- 15:27Speaker 5: That's all we worry about.
- 15:28Speaker 2: You take a quarterback early, you can't get him to
- 15:30Speaker 2: the starting line.
- 15:31Speaker 5: That's tough. That's tough.
- 15:33Speaker 1: But look, yeah, guess what, guess who gets to have
- 15:35Speaker 1: the first pick as we rotate this through Buck, and
- 15:38Speaker 1: we're changing it up because the health of the quarterbacks.
- 15:40Speaker 1: No quarterbacks this week, new rule this week. We're just
- 15:43Speaker 1: taking a running back, of wide receiver and a tight end,
- 15:47Speaker 1: so we're eliminating the quarterbacks, so we don't have that
- 15:49Speaker 1: debacle that we had last week.
- 15:50Speaker 2: But Buck, you're up first.
- 15:52Speaker 4: This is hard for me because I used to have
- 15:53Speaker 4: rules in fantasy football that I never could pick a
- 15:55Speaker 4: player that is playing against my team. And so this
- 15:59Speaker 4: week the a matter of fact, because I've taken on
- 16:01Speaker 4: the Jacksonville Jaguars and the more accompetent weeks, there is
- 16:05Speaker 4: no way I could pick Bjon Rominson.
- 16:07Speaker 5: But then I gotta do it. I gotta take B
- 16:10Speaker 5: John Robinson.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Number one overall because like it's you guys, and I
- 16:13Speaker 4: can't look. I can't stomach the fact that I would
- 16:16Speaker 4: I would fall short if I don't have them.
- 16:17Speaker 5: So I'm gonna take John Robinson. Welcome, Welcome to Team BB.
- 16:21Speaker 6: All right, well that brings me up right here at
- 16:26Speaker 6: number two and in this in this case, just you know,
- 16:30Speaker 6: I feel like you know, I went Roshawn Johnson last
- 16:33Speaker 6: week and I felt I felt pretty good about it,
- 16:34Speaker 6: but obviously that offense was a whole mess for the Bears,
- 16:38Speaker 6: so I can't I can't possibly go back to that
- 16:41Speaker 6: well again look, I gotta go Jamiir Gibbs. It's just
- 16:44Speaker 6: I got to do it, and I got to hope
- 16:46Speaker 6: that they're going to get more targets in the pass
- 16:47Speaker 6: game like they had been the first two games. So
- 16:49Speaker 6: give me Jamiir up with the Lions.
- 16:51Speaker 1: All right, Well, I guess I know who I'm taking
- 16:53Speaker 1: at that position, but I can wait.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I don't need to do that anytime soon, so I
- 16:57Speaker 2: can go. I can go back to back here. I'm
- 16:59Speaker 2: gonna go.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Oh gosh, I think I have to. I feel like
- 17:04Speaker 1: I'm borrowing. I feel like I'm borrowing Rehts Uh, you know,
- 17:09Speaker 1: his little his pet here because Pooka Nakua has been
- 17:12Speaker 1: his go to guy. That wasn't a huge game. Wow,
- 17:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna go Pooka Nakua.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Uh.
- 17:18Speaker 1: They are they are playing the Colts, I believe. Let
- 17:21Speaker 1: me double check this. Yeah, Rams Cults next week. So
- 17:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna go Pooka with my first pick, and I'm
- 17:26Speaker 1: gonna come back. I've got my choice of tight ends
- 17:29Speaker 1: and I'm gonna go Samila Porta. So those are my
- 17:32Speaker 1: first two picks that I'm gonna go. B Yu and
- 17:34Speaker 1: Iowa my two guys.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Okay, so that that comes back to me.
- 17:40Speaker 6: I'm gonna go Tank Dell, give me the wide out
- 17:43Speaker 6: from the Texans. The explosive play threat, big play threat
- 17:46Speaker 6: went for buck buck forty five last week, found himself
- 17:49Speaker 6: into the end zone. I feel like the Texans are
- 17:52Speaker 6: going to get it done. So give me Tank Dell,
- 17:54Speaker 6: the rookie.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Wow. I mean, I would think that I'm a little
- 17:58Speaker 4: disappointed at DJ has an opportunity to take the guy
- 18:01Speaker 4: Quinn Johnson, who's gonna have an opportunity to play that
- 18:03Speaker 4: Mike Weiams and now he doesn't even support his own guy.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Josh Palmer's gonna I would think that you would be
- 18:09Speaker 4: a little bit of a homer in debt regard. But
- 18:12Speaker 4: I am going to go. And this is tough because
- 18:14Speaker 4: Zay Flowers and Jordan Addison both have been kind of
- 18:17Speaker 4: doing the thing. But Zave Flowers was so good for
- 18:18Speaker 4: me last week that I can't bypass him again. I'm
- 18:21Speaker 4: gonna go with Zave Flowers, uh as my.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Wife one morning to go back to back.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Okay, so then give me give me dog Kin Kid
- 18:32Speaker 5: for the.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Buffalo Bills and so Josh Allen this offense begin to
- 18:35Speaker 4: figure it out James Cook has been good on the ground,
- 18:37Speaker 4: so that should open up some things down the middle
- 18:39Speaker 4: and the pass game on play action dog Kin Kid, Welcome,
- 18:42Speaker 4: Welcome to the squad.
- 18:44Speaker 3: All right, there you go.
- 18:44Speaker 6: So Bucky's got his full squad laid out and watching
- 18:48Speaker 6: this UH Saints Packers game last week, and I love
- 18:53Speaker 6: the way that Jordan Love was targeting Luke Musgrave.
- 18:56Speaker 3: So I'm going to go with my tight end. And
- 19:00Speaker 3: and it's.
- 19:00Speaker 6: Really you know, I look, I like Dalton Kincaid and
- 19:04Speaker 6: I'm kind of expecting bigger things out of him. But
- 19:07Speaker 6: at this point, I want Musgrave to get a rolling
- 19:10Speaker 6: for me. Sick catches forty nine yards last week. I
- 19:12Speaker 6: think might be getting into the end zone this week
- 19:15Speaker 6: for the Packers to kind of keep that momentum rolling
- 19:17Speaker 6: on the offensive side.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I'm so mad right now. I got my last pick. Well,
- 19:23Speaker 1: I had it all cued up and ready to go.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I've been thinking about this for a while because this
- 19:27Speaker 1: was going to be my pick. I've been thinking about
- 19:28Speaker 1: this for a week. I knew this day was coming. Wow,
- 19:30Speaker 1: And unfortunately, my man, my man decided after a Monster
- 19:36Speaker 1: game that we no longer should reference his name with
- 19:42Speaker 1: a chain it is now a Chan I believe if
- 19:46Speaker 1: I'm saying that correctly, Von a Chan.
- 19:49Speaker 2: He's no longer a chain.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Because I had and I know what a good We
- 19:53Speaker 1: probably couldn't use it because of copyright, but I had
- 19:55Speaker 1: Quad City DJs.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Come on ride a chain.
- 20:00Speaker 2: And thank you.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Yeah, call your defensive events and Marino and your friends.
- 20:07Speaker 1: I trying, I was, I was ready to go. I
- 20:11Speaker 1: was ready to go. But now it's eight chan. It
- 20:14Speaker 1: doesn't work, it doesn't fit. Yeah, that's fine. I'm still
- 20:18Speaker 1: taking him last week, so I'm I'm in on him.
- 20:21Speaker 2: He's going to be my.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Pup this week.
- 20:22Speaker 2: You got a couple of new names in the mix
- 20:24Speaker 2: this week.
- 20:24Speaker 6: Yeah, they don't have just that I want to make
- 20:26Speaker 6: sure they don't have the Broncos this week. Just just
- 20:28Speaker 6: wanted to let you know that they got they got
- 20:30Speaker 6: the bills.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Well, yeah, because everybody else has done such a great
- 20:33Speaker 1: job of slowing that offense down so far, so I'm
- 20:35Speaker 1: sure it's just a one time bill.
- 20:39Speaker 6: I may or may not have put like thirty seven
- 20:41Speaker 6: bucks on my waiver wire budget on devon a Chan.
- 20:46Speaker 2: So a chan man A chain just has such more
- 20:49Speaker 2: punch to it, you know.
- 20:50Speaker 3: It does does.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Do.
- 20:55Speaker 3: I need to make sure.
- 20:56Speaker 1: You imagine we got the just cranking that tune. Every
- 20:59Speaker 1: time he pops pops a run. The whole crowd is
- 21:01Speaker 1: just just pulling that, pulling.
- 21:03Speaker 5: The horn down.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I mean, come on, what a lost marketing opportunity on
- 21:07Speaker 1: that one. Oh well, well, that's gonna do it for
- 21:11Speaker 1: us today. That was a fun one, good way to
- 21:13Speaker 1: end there on the rookie draft. And again a chant.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Come on, I gotta get used to that. That's a
- 21:17Speaker 1: that's a new pronunciation. But I'm gonna get it down.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Excited for my team to bounce back. Bucky is off
- 21:21Speaker 1: to a big start here. I'm gonna try and reel
- 21:23Speaker 1: him in. That's gonna do it for us today. Appreciate
- 21:26Speaker 1: you guys.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Hanging with this.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Remember we got shows each and every day this week,
- 21:28Speaker 1: including our one thousand episodes to be on the lookout
- 21:30Speaker 1: for that.
- 21:31Speaker 2: We'll see you next time right here on. Move the sticks.
