- 34:50Speaker 2: Tell doesn't create the mars. Come does to care at

- 35:10Speaker 8: And now let's bring in to this party. How are you?
- 35:13Speaker 5: And I'm good, Sammy, how are you?
- 35:16Speaker 8: I know that you have had the what what I
- 35:20Speaker 8: would call the distinct honor of seeing bil Jit in person.
- 35:23Speaker 8: I have still not had a chance to do it.
- 35:26Speaker 8: I'm waiting for him to come out to l a
- 35:28Speaker 8: later on in June here, but you saw him at
- 35:31Speaker 8: Madison Square Garden. Tell me what that was like.
- 35:34Speaker 4: So this was my first time that I saw him
- 35:37Speaker 4: live in concert. It's been on my bucket list, Okay,
- 35:41Speaker 4: So I was eyeing. I was like, I have to
- 35:44Speaker 4: go to the Madison Square Garden one. So I ended
- 35:48Speaker 4: up there on night two, So on the second night.
- 35:51Speaker 4: So now we already know that when he was performing
- 35:53Speaker 4: at Madison Square Garden, it was two nights sold out
- 35:56Speaker 4: and this is the first time ever a Indian artist
- 36:01Speaker 4: has ever done that. So that in itself was absolutely historic.
- 36:08Speaker 4: I mean, the vibe, the energy, just everything was just
- 36:13Speaker 4: down to a t. I mean, although I would say
- 36:17Speaker 4: that I would have loved to have seen him on
- 36:19Speaker 4: stage for a lot longer, but I mean two hours
- 36:22Speaker 4: straight with so much energy, it is very difficult anyway,
- 36:26Speaker 4: But yeah.
- 36:27Speaker 5: It's a lot.
- 36:28Speaker 4: It's a lot when you're singing like NonStop. But it
- 36:32Speaker 4: was phenomenal. Like, I'm just so glad I've seen the
- 36:36Speaker 4: Jeep live in this lifetime.
- 36:37Speaker 2: You know.
- 36:37Speaker 4: It's one of those things where you just have to
- 36:40Speaker 4: do that in your life. And then of course he
- 36:42Speaker 4: had his Toronto show last night as well, and you
- 36:47Speaker 4: know that in itself is historic. But then amongst that
- 36:52Speaker 4: show he announced his big one, like his biggest one
- 36:57Speaker 4: ever he's performed. He is not it's the first Indian artist,
- 37:01Speaker 4: but he's the first one jubby artist to be performing.
- 37:04Speaker 5: At Wembley Stadium.
- 37:06Speaker 8: Can you believe him?
- 37:06Speaker 5: Number twelve?
- 37:08Speaker 8: You believe that?
- 37:09Speaker 5: I can't believe it because I saw it coming. I
- 37:12Speaker 5: was like, if he's going to perform in London, it's
- 37:14Speaker 5: got to be. Yeah, there's no other venue that he
- 37:19Speaker 5: can come from.
- 37:19Speaker 2: People.
- 37:21Speaker 5: It's ninety thousand.
- 37:22Speaker 8: That is that is crazy.
- 37:24Speaker 5: That is crazy ninety thousand. Yeah, and I've seen Beyonce there.
- 37:28Speaker 19: So wow.
- 37:29Speaker 4: I yeah, it is a completely different experience altogether, Like
- 37:34Speaker 4: it is just something else.
- 37:36Speaker 8: Wow. I mean that is just incredible. I can't wait
- 37:40Speaker 8: to see that visual. I'm sure we're going to see
- 37:42Speaker 8: a sea of people there at Wembley.
- 37:44Speaker 5: Ya.
- 37:45Speaker 8: You know, there's if there's an experience to go be
- 37:47Speaker 8: a part of it, it's that one right there. That's
- 37:49Speaker 8: a historical normally it is. Yeah, I'm not sure if
- 37:52Speaker 8: that's going to be topped in terms of size out
- 37:54Speaker 8: here in the US.
- 37:54Speaker 5: At least, you know, Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
- 37:58Speaker 4: I don't know, what, where's the biggest venue in the US.
- 38:01Speaker 8: Yeah, maybe, you know, maybe a Rose Bowl here in
- 38:03Speaker 8: LA or something like that that could do that, you know.
- 38:06Speaker 8: And of course there's a few venues across the Midwest there,
- 38:10Speaker 8: like in Michigan, they have a stadium there that's really big,
- 38:12Speaker 8: but the only one that's like in a big metropolitan
- 38:15Speaker 8: city that could attract the right type of audience. I'm
- 38:18Speaker 8: thinking Rose Bowl here in LA is probably the only
- 38:21Speaker 8: one that I can think of, you know, but there's
- 38:23Speaker 8: still a lot of people in LA for him to
- 38:25Speaker 8: not pack, you know.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm not sure.
- 38:29Speaker 8: Maybe Toronto having maybe.
- 38:30Speaker 4: Yeah, Toronto is definitely definitely one of the bigger ones.
- 38:34Speaker 4: But having said that, I can totally see the Deep
- 38:38Speaker 4: performing at a super Bowl, Like if anything is going
- 38:41Speaker 4: to come next to him, I do feel it's going to.
- 38:43Speaker 5: Be a Super Bowl moment.
- 38:45Speaker 8: That could be the case. And you know, especially with
- 38:47Speaker 8: the globalization of the game and most importantly the audience
- 38:51Speaker 8: diversifying as well as as much as that as it
- 38:54Speaker 8: has here in the US, and how music has changed.
- 38:58Speaker 8: It seems like it's headed that way, doesn't it.
- 39:01Speaker 5: You know?
- 39:01Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, So I think these kind of really big moments,
- 39:05Speaker 8: like we've seen him on Fallon, We've seen him at Coachella. Now,
- 39:09Speaker 8: I feel like something like that that is is totally next,
- 39:12Speaker 8: whether it's a super Bowl thing or something in that
- 39:15Speaker 8: kind of mainstream way where he's he's not just a
- 39:19Speaker 8: Punjabi singer for the Punjabi market. He's there for music,
- 39:23Speaker 8: you know. Yeah, yeah, for sure, like a Grammy performance
- 39:27Speaker 8: something like that.
- 39:28Speaker 27: You know, I could see that happening.
- 39:30Speaker 5: Ye see, I can see that happening too.
- 39:33Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 39:33Speaker 5: I think that's something we'll just have to replay.
- 39:36Speaker 4: This conversation next time he announce or something.
- 39:38Speaker 8: Maybe we do.
- 39:40Speaker 5: So great hanging out with you likewise, Sammy.
- 39:44Speaker 8: Always always nice, and we'll see you next week.
- 39:47Speaker 17: You two take care.
- 39:49Speaker 8: Here's the next song for you, guys.

- 43:29Speaker 8: and I know folks have been actually messaging me directly
- 43:32Speaker 8: asking me where Ruby has been. And as you guys know,
- 43:35Speaker 8: Ruby is a regular part of our show and of
- 43:38Speaker 8: our presentation here on the Bridge, and she's been away
- 43:41Speaker 8: taking care of some things on the family level. And
- 43:44Speaker 8: I obviously wanted to open by kind of bringing her
- 43:47Speaker 8: into the show into the right context. But she's been
- 43:49Speaker 8: dealing with something very deep and very personal and I'll
- 43:51Speaker 8: let Ruby tell you, of course, But Ruby, thank you
- 43:53Speaker 8: so much for coming back to the show here today.
- 43:56Speaker 7: Thank you, Sammy.
- 43:57Speaker 5: I've missed you.
- 43:58Speaker 7: I've missed everyone out there, guys. Thank you so much
- 44:00Speaker 7: for your messages and everything.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Yes, I have been gone.
- 44:05Speaker 7: We had a lot going on. So as I was
- 44:07Speaker 7: telling you, Sammy, we were moving and packing and then
- 44:10Speaker 7: you know, moving into another house, and you know, with that,
- 44:14Speaker 7: we were also dealing with, you know, a sick family member,
- 44:17Speaker 7: so my father in law who was sick with als
- 44:20Speaker 7: and guys. That did a whole episode on it, and
- 44:22Speaker 7: the first few minutes will be very emotional, but I
- 44:26Speaker 7: talk about this disease als, you know, Louke Garrett's disease.
- 44:31Speaker 7: I feel like a lot of times our South Asian families,
- 44:34Speaker 7: we don't want to believe that there was a problem
- 44:36Speaker 7: or someone has a disease. But watching somebody like my
- 44:40Speaker 7: father in love deteriorate over the last two years and
- 44:43Speaker 7: then seeing him pass, guys, it was a lot and
- 44:47Speaker 7: I kept myself very busy. But being there, you know,
- 44:50Speaker 7: for them, Being there with them was wonderful. It was
- 44:54Speaker 7: great being with Dad and seeing such a strong man
- 44:57Speaker 7: with so much dignity.
- 44:59Speaker 5: You know, lou is your muscle strength.
- 45:01Speaker 27: It was very tough.
- 45:02Speaker 7: So I've been really busy packing, unpacking and then coming
- 45:06Speaker 7: back home from a trip from Toronto and going back
- 45:10Speaker 7: to the boxes. It's just been go, go go, And
- 45:12Speaker 7: I've missed everyone. I really have missed talking to you guys.
- 45:16Speaker 7: And every time I do an episode, it's like I'm
- 45:18Speaker 7: speaking to whoever's listening from, wherever you're listening from. And yes,
- 45:22Speaker 7: I check all of my messages, I really do, and
- 45:25Speaker 7: as I respond to every much that I do. Guts,
- 45:28Speaker 7: That's what I've been busy doing. And there's a whole
- 45:30Speaker 7: episode on ALS. It's in English.
- 45:32Speaker 5: Benjelbichiep hat on Appa.
- 45:34Speaker 7: So anything that I can do to help guys, I'm here.
- 45:38Speaker 8: Ruby. Of course, please send our deepest condolences to Suki
- 45:42Speaker 8: Paji and everybody over there at the family and thank you.
- 45:45Speaker 8: So you know, really quickly, Ruby, tell us about ALS.
- 45:48Speaker 8: What is ALS? It's it's a disease that I know
- 45:52Speaker 8: that a lot of people are aware of. It is
- 45:55Speaker 8: out there, but please, of course tell us about what
- 45:58Speaker 8: ALS is for the those of us that are unaware
- 46:01Speaker 8: of it.
- 46:02Speaker 7: Yeah, So al us of the disease. Guys, what happens
- 46:05Speaker 7: to attack your muscles and people don't know what it
- 46:08Speaker 7: is at first. It's like my father in law, somebody's
- 46:11Speaker 7: in the military. It happens to them as well. And
- 46:14Speaker 7: we've lost an actor from Grey's Anatomy just a few
- 46:16Speaker 7: months ago on this. It is a neurological. Neurological disease
- 46:20Speaker 7: that attacks the nerve cells that's responsible for controlling your
- 46:23Speaker 7: voluntary muscles. So that means muscles that we used to walk, talk, eat, swallow, hug,
- 46:31Speaker 7: and even breathe they slowly stop to work. Now it's
- 46:35Speaker 7: you know what I call is I call it dementia
- 46:37Speaker 7: for the body because the sad part is that your
- 46:41Speaker 7: brain is fully functional and you're able to think, you're
- 46:44Speaker 7: able to hear.
- 46:45Speaker 5: This is something my father in law said.
- 46:47Speaker 7: Dad said to me, he goes, really, I can hear,
- 46:49Speaker 7: my brain's going on thousand miles an hour, but I
- 46:51Speaker 7: can't move. And with him and a lot of people,
- 46:55Speaker 7: it's yeah, it was. It was really hard to hear
- 46:58Speaker 7: as well. And it with him, I remember it started
- 47:00Speaker 7: from his son went to the wrist to the shoulder,
- 47:03Speaker 7: and then.
- 47:03Speaker 5: Slowly it gets the rest of your body. But everyone
- 47:07Speaker 5: thinks it's.
- 47:07Speaker 7: You know, it's probably gosh, what is it called not alsame?
- 47:12Speaker 7: But I can't remember what the word is I used
- 47:14Speaker 7: it for, but arthritis, Yes, it's They think it's athritis,
- 47:18Speaker 7: and it's not. Because what's happening is if your family
- 47:21Speaker 7: member did have authritis, we automatically think, go, you know
- 47:25Speaker 7: my you know, my thumb misturning my wrist or my hand.
- 47:28Speaker 24: I have authritis.
- 47:29Speaker 5: We automatically chext the two. But we need to get
- 47:32Speaker 5: checked up for it.
- 47:33Speaker 7: Even with Dad, they kept giving him different medications and
- 47:37Speaker 7: until somebody family figured I was actually talked to you
- 47:39Speaker 7: of hours and she was a grivy.
- 47:40Speaker 5: I think it's an als wow. And that was seventy eight.
- 47:44Speaker 7: So it happened to people that are younger too. We
- 47:47Speaker 7: know somebody that a friend of hers, her daughter got
- 47:50Speaker 7: it and she was thirty years old. She was gone
- 47:52Speaker 7: within two years.
- 47:53Speaker 12: And that's so sad.
- 47:54Speaker 5: Guys. That's out there.
- 47:55Speaker 7: So your your mind is awake, you know, but your
- 47:59Speaker 7: body like being trapped inside a body and muscles that
- 48:02Speaker 7: you slowly can't move, to the point that you can't breathe,
- 48:06Speaker 7: you can't swallow.
- 48:08Speaker 5: Very sad.
- 48:09Speaker 7: Disease it's very tough for not only person that has it,
- 48:12Speaker 7: but even the spallas. It could be a constable time
- 48:16Speaker 7: caregiver and they don't think about themselves because they're so busy,
- 48:18Speaker 7: so it's very hard.
- 48:21Speaker 8: Yeah, listen, Ruby, this is obviously we wanted to thank
- 48:25Speaker 8: you for bringing awareness to this and for sharing this
- 48:28Speaker 8: very personal story of course, and for and for us,
- 48:33Speaker 8: of course, we were very happy that you're back, and
- 48:37Speaker 8: you know, we wanted to send our condolences to the
- 48:40Speaker 8: whole family over there and you know, Ruby and sending
- 48:44Speaker 8: us sending you our love and light during this very
- 48:47Speaker 8: difficult time. And I hope that everybody pulls through here
- 48:50Speaker 8: over the next very short amount of time.
- 48:53Speaker 7: Thank you so much, Sammy appreciate it very much.
- 48:56Speaker 8: All Right, Well, we'll looking forward to having you back
- 48:57Speaker 8: Ruby next week and we'll keep bringing and all the
- 49:00Speaker 8: news and information from around our community as you always do. Ruby,
- 49:03Speaker 8: So looking forward to having you back in the swing
- 49:06Speaker 8: of things, as we.
- 49:07Speaker 5: Say always I am.
- 49:10Speaker 8: It's alright, folks, here's the next song for you guys.
- 49:16Speaker 36: Hello, Hello, Luny.
- 49:42Speaker 27: Lucky, Lucky Lucky the.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Deeper game. But going to take a honey day to
- 50:11Speaker 2: do it, to take a Long.

- 51:37Speaker 8: BMC Banja luck Man. I'll tell you something. People really
- 51:42Speaker 8: get used to hearing our regulars on this show. And
- 51:47Speaker 8: Ruby had been away there taking care of some stuff
- 51:49Speaker 8: on family leave, and folks were reaching out to me
- 51:53Speaker 8: asking me where Ruby was.
- 51:54Speaker 5: So there you go.
- 51:55Speaker 8: Ruby's back everybody. Now, let's bringing Doita to the show
- 51:59Speaker 8: him one.
- 52:00Speaker 25: This is the Da Da Gupta Urakasavnir radio music correspondent
- 52:04Speaker 25: back with another artist, Spotlight. Let's spotlight Aditya Ricardi, the
- 52:07Speaker 25: daily born Indie singer songwriter whose emotionally raw music has
- 52:11Speaker 25: made him one of the most fastest rising voices.
- 52:14Speaker 21: In Indian pop today.
- 52:15Speaker 25: Known for heartfeld hits like Fastly Samchoona Barrow and the
- 52:19Speaker 25: viral sensation Saheba, Aditya has built a massive fan based
- 52:23Speaker 25: so deeply personal lyrics and minimalist melodies that connects strongly
- 52:27Speaker 25: with jen Z listeners.
- 52:28Speaker 27: Twenty twenty six is already shaping up to be a
- 52:31Speaker 27: huge year for him.
- 52:32Speaker 25: Earlier this year, Aditya collaborated with Kudli Khan and Ravator
- 52:36Speaker 25: on the Koke Studio power track a ah Nabi, a
- 52:39Speaker 25: soulful fusion record that quickly gained major traction online and
- 52:43Speaker 25: across streaming platforms. He's also continued his streak of releases
- 52:47Speaker 25: with songs like Promise and Lajava, while expanding further into
- 52:51Speaker 25: Bollywood with tracks for upcoming films including Dukoid and Pattipatni
- 52:55Speaker 25: or Vodo. Fans and critics alike have praise his ability
- 52:58Speaker 25: to turn vulnerability to music that feels deeply personal yet
- 53:02Speaker 25: universally relatable, with many calling him one of the defining
- 53:06Speaker 25: voices of India's indie wave. With billions of streams, sold
- 53:10Speaker 25: out live shows, and a sound that feels intimate yet
- 53:12Speaker 25: cinematic all at once, Aditia Ricarry continues proving that indie
- 53:16Speaker 25: music in India has never sounded more honest or more powerful.
- 53:21Speaker 2: Well that's all for me.
- 53:22Speaker 27: Stay tuned for more only on Ruckus Avenue Radio.
- 53:25Speaker 8: Thank you so much for that, Duita, thank you so
- 53:28Speaker 8: much for that Artist Spotlight and I can't wait to
- 53:31Speaker 8: have Aditya on this show. He's one of the top
- 53:33Speaker 8: artists that we've been playing quite regularly, really thriving in
- 53:38Speaker 8: this independent space. This song is a collaboration with simmer
- 53:42Speaker 8: and jodri.
