- 0:02Speaker 1: So week one is in the books. We have some
- 0:06Speaker 1: really good things that happened, and we have some really
- 0:11Speaker 1: not-so-great things that happened as well. We're going to cover
- 0:14Speaker 1: it all in this week's edition of Fantasy Freakin' Football.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Did every guy on your bench go off? Did you
- 0:25Speaker 2: decide to set your top scorer because you had a hunch?
- 0:29Speaker 2: Did your drafting a kicker in the first round strategy
- 0:33Speaker 2: not pay off?
- 0:34Speaker 3: Then this is the show for you.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Now here to help you set your lineups every week,
- 0:41Speaker 2: it's Eddie and Thor with Fantasy Frickin' Football.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Wow, here we go. Uh, so I don't know if
- 0:49Speaker 1: this has ever happened in the history of this show.
- 0:52Speaker 1: We've been doing this show for a really long time. Um,
- 0:54Speaker 1: I'm not sure that we have had a week, especially
- 0:58Speaker 1: in opening week where we went undefeated.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02Speaker 1: So I'm in three leagues. I went three and oh,
- 1:07Speaker 1: which man, I was not expecting that. I was projected
- 1:10Speaker 1: to lose two of those games.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12Speaker 1: And the fact that I was able to pull it off. Fantastic. Fantastic.
- 1:15Speaker 1: This is breaking news. Thor is in not one, not two,
- 1:21Speaker 1: not three, four different leagues.
- 1:24Speaker 3: The fourth league I'm in, though, is an 18 league
- 1:26Speaker 3: with my wife's family.
- 1:27Speaker 1: It's still a league. I don't know what you're talking about.
- 1:30Speaker 3: I don't care. I set my lineup, but 18 leagues,
- 1:35Speaker 3: every team is loaded.
- 1:35Speaker 1: You're hilarious because you said the same thing about your
- 1:38Speaker 1: third league last year. That you didn't care about that league.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Until they upped the deposit.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Oh, no. I said you care. Okay.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:46Speaker 3: And I came in second in that league. Because, yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 3: 200 bucks makes me care a lot. Okay.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Okay. So you're in four leagues now.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:54Speaker 1: And you went 4-0.
- 1:55Speaker 2: 4-0.
- 1:56Speaker 1: So 7-0.
- 1:57Speaker 2: 7-0.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Between the two of us.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Pretty crazy.
- 2:00Speaker 1: That's never happened before.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yeah. And other than one guy, I avoided injury. Um,
- 2:04Speaker 3: but one guy got injured, which sucks already, but, um,
- 2:07Speaker 3: but it is what it is, right? Yeah. It's not
- 2:09Speaker 3: season ending, but still it sucks for week two.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah. So we, we had a banner week. It was
- 2:14Speaker 1: great for us. Hopefully, you know, you listened to us
- 2:16Speaker 1: and got some wins, but now I say, listen to us.
- 2:19Speaker 1: We had not we Thor. had some freezing cold takes.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I know.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Some freezing cold takes. This will happen. You go out
- 2:27Speaker 1: on a limb for saying things, and then sometimes it'll happen. Now,
- 2:31Speaker 1: the first one went back to the offseason, and we've
- 2:34Speaker 1: been kind of disagreeing about this one from day one.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Well, there's still a lot of season left.
- 2:40Speaker 1: 100%. 100%. But we're going to see how it plays out. Yeah,
- 2:43Speaker 1: we're going to see. As of right now, I look
- 2:45Speaker 1: like a complete genius and you look like an idiot.
- 2:47Speaker 1: And that is about Kenneth Walker.
- 2:49Speaker 3: He will not play 17 games. So make sure you
- 2:52Speaker 3: have Emmett Johnson. Kenneth Walker is never healthy. He wasn't
- 2:55Speaker 3: healthy in Seattle, and there's a reason why they split carries.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Looked great in week one, but.
- 3:00Speaker 1: It will be stunning. You were on the avoid Kenneth
- 3:03Speaker 1: Walker list.
- 3:03Speaker 3: I did.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Where I was like, you know, I think he's going
- 3:05Speaker 1: to be pretty good against the city.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I hope you have his backup.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Mahomes has never had a running game, really. The Chiefs,
- 3:11Speaker 1: you know, they're getting long in the twos, so I
- 3:13Speaker 1: think they need to rely on a running game. And
- 3:15Speaker 1: we saw week one what this guy can do. 173 yards, touchdown.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I mean, it was a great week. He had the
- 3:21Speaker 1: number one.
- 3:22Speaker 3: It was aided a lot by how bad the Broncos
- 3:24Speaker 3: were at tackling.
- 3:25Speaker 1: You can say whatever you want.
- 3:27Speaker 3: But no, you got week one.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Okay. Week one. Well, that's just with Kenneth Walker. Your
- 3:33Speaker 1: other big take last week, that turned out to be
- 3:36Speaker 1: a disaster. But it wasn't just me that was saying this.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Other analysts were saying this. Josh Allen was 0-3.
- 3:42Speaker 3: I said 0-3. He was 0-4 against the Texans with...
- 3:48Speaker 3: their head coach and Sean McDermott? No, the Texans head coach.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I forgot his name. Oh, D'Amico Ryans.
- 3:55Speaker 3: D'Amico Ryans. And he was awful against the Texans up
- 3:59Speaker 3: until week one.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I know there was one analyst who disagreed with you.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 1: That would be me. I know. That would be me.
- 4:05Speaker 1: And I said, listen, I understand your point. I understood
- 4:08Speaker 1: what you were talking about. But history doesn't automatically repeat itself.
- 4:12Speaker 1: It doesn't mean that this version of Josh Allen and
- 4:15Speaker 1: that version of the Texans is going to ring to
- 4:17Speaker 1: be true. And it's week one. I just I didn't
- 4:20Speaker 1: see it coming. And plus, it helps also that I
- 4:23Speaker 1: have Josh Allen in two different my leagues. That is true.
- 4:25Speaker 1: So I was kind of hoping you were wrong. And
- 4:27Speaker 1: it turns out you were wrong. And Josh had a
- 4:30Speaker 1: banner day.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Yeah, monster game. Monster game.
- 4:32Speaker 1: That was a freezing cold take.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Josh Allen played bad against the Texans and in the playoffs.
- 4:37Speaker 3: And for some reason, he decided that he was done with.
- 4:40Speaker 1: So maybe this year at the playoffs, he's going to– Maybe.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Maybe this is their year.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 4:44Speaker 1: All despite you. Yeah, maybe. So, yeah, that didn't go
- 4:47Speaker 1: so well for you. But that does happen from time
- 4:50Speaker 1: to time on your sits and starts where– You know,
- 4:52Speaker 1: you go out on a limb with somebody, you better
- 4:54Speaker 1: be right, because people get mad, man. It's only week one. Okay,
- 4:57Speaker 1: so we are here to answer your questions, as always.
- 5:01Speaker 1: You can email us your questions every week, or you
- 5:03Speaker 1: can hit us up on X at the show Thor,
- 5:06Speaker 1: at the show Eddie, and we'll answer them every week.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Let's start with this one. It says, he's stuck between
- 5:12Speaker 1: starting Omari and Hampton and DeAndre Swift in week two.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Who do you go with?
- 5:18Speaker 3: I'm going with DeAndre Swift.
- 5:19Speaker 1: I don't know how you can't.
- 5:20Speaker 3: I don't trust the Chargers right now. I know it's
- 5:23Speaker 3: only week one, and they're playing the Raiders, and the
- 5:26Speaker 3: Raiders won, Chargers lost. And the Chargers should still win
- 5:29Speaker 3: the game. I'm not giving up on the Chargers. I
- 5:31Speaker 3: don't think they stink or anything like that. But it's
- 5:33Speaker 3: just the Bears are going to score. The Bears are
- 5:35Speaker 3: going to be a juggernaut on offense.
- 5:36Speaker 1: It looks that way.
- 5:37Speaker 3: So I would start both Bears running backs this week.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Well, I kind of am also confused. If you have
- 5:41Speaker 1: both those guys, who's your other back? Because those two guys,
- 5:45Speaker 1: to me, are both good starts this week. And I
- 5:48Speaker 1: understand the question because of matchup-wise. Bears are taking on
- 5:52Speaker 1: the Vikings. You've got to imagine the Vikings play a
- 5:54Speaker 1: pretty good game. They look better. Then who, you know,
- 5:58Speaker 1: maybe the Chargers are going to play. Chargers are playing
- 6:00Speaker 1: the Raiders. Now, listen, Raiders got a win in week one. So,
- 6:03Speaker 1: you know, if you're a Raider honk, you're thinking great. But, yeah,
- 6:05Speaker 1: they played the Dolphins. So, you know, maybe that's the
- 6:08Speaker 1: question there.
- 6:08Speaker 3: H-on didn't really do anything, though.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 6:11Speaker 3: But I still would start. I just, anyone on the
- 6:13Speaker 3: Bears offense right now, except for Colston Loveland, is an animal.
- 6:17Speaker 1: So that was what killed me is that I have
- 6:20Speaker 1: Colston Loveland in two leagues and The Bears put up
- 6:23Speaker 1: 59 points. Literally everybody and their mother is scoring touchdowns.
- 6:27Speaker 1: He put up a zero. I'm like, how is that
- 6:29Speaker 1: even possible? You scored 59 points.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Yeah, Cole Komet got the touchdown.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I'm like, what?
- 6:33Speaker 1: You didn't even throw him a pass?
- 6:35Speaker 3: Like, what the heck?
- 6:36Speaker 1: Week one. I know.
- 6:37Speaker 3: I wouldn't bench him this week.
- 6:39Speaker 2: No.
- 6:40Speaker 3: You know what I mean? I'm not.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And, you know, that's the thing about week one is
- 6:43Speaker 1: there are so many lies that are told after week one. Like,
- 6:46Speaker 1: who's good? Who's bad? Like, are the Broncos that bad?
- 6:48Speaker 1: I don't think so. Yeah, I don't think so. You know,
- 6:50Speaker 1: are the Chiefs that good? I don't think so. I
- 6:53Speaker 1: don't think so.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Are the Cowboys that bad on defense? Right. I don't
- 6:55Speaker 3: think so.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Are the Rams not very good? I don't think. You know,
- 6:58Speaker 1: there's so many lies. It's week one.
- 7:00Speaker 3: And then, on the other hand, though, there will be
- 7:03Speaker 3: a team that just doesn't get it together. Like last
- 7:07Speaker 3: year was the Bengals, right? Joe Burrow got hurt. But
- 7:11Speaker 3: that's been a thing where it's like, man, how are
- 7:13Speaker 3: they one and four with Joe Burrow? Sometimes that just happens.
- 7:16Speaker 3: So you just don't know which team that's going to be.
- 7:18Speaker 1: For sure. Next question says, who should I start between
- 7:22Speaker 1: Jalen Waddell, Egbuka, or DK Metcalf at wide receiver two
- 7:27Speaker 1: standard scoring league? He says, Denver looks so weak. Waddell
- 7:31Speaker 1: is looking like a poor prospect. We're already giving up
- 7:34Speaker 1: on him week one.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I can.
- 7:35Speaker 3: It's week one. He was my third pick. I'm not
- 7:38Speaker 3: giving up on Jalen Waddell. They gave up a first-round
- 7:40Speaker 3: pick for him and took on his contract. Sean Payton
- 7:43Speaker 3: will not look like an idiot for that draft. Is
- 7:47Speaker 3: Jalen Waddell going to be Jamar Chase? Probably not. I
- 7:50Speaker 3: probably drafted him too high, but I still think he'll
- 7:53Speaker 3: be okay. That being said, I'm going to– who was
- 7:55Speaker 3: the second receiver you said?
- 7:56Speaker 1: Egbuka.
- 7:57Speaker 3: I would start Egbuka because they're playing the Browns. And
- 8:00Speaker 3: they're going to throw the ball all over the Browns.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Look what Trevor Lawrence did last week. I think the
- 8:05Speaker 3: Bucs are going to score a ton of points against
- 8:07Speaker 3: the Browns.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I think you're okay with doing Egbuka. I got to
- 8:14Speaker 1: imagine they're going to feed him the ball this week.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Because they were kind of embarrassed, obviously, with what happened. Yeah.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Pat Bryant's not going to be their leading receiver.
- 8:23Speaker 1: No. Standard scoring makes it a little different. If this
- 8:27Speaker 1: was PPR, I really do believe Waddle's going to go
- 8:30Speaker 1: off this week as far as catches go. You saw,
- 8:33Speaker 1: they're moving him around nonstop. They just didn't throw him
- 8:36Speaker 1: the ball. And I don't know if he wasn't getting
- 8:38Speaker 1: open or what the problem was, but they're going to
- 8:40Speaker 1: feed him the rock and they're going to... Make sure
- 8:42Speaker 1: he's involved in the offense because, yeah, why would you
- 8:45Speaker 1: trade for a guy and get one catch?
- 8:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it just doesn't make sense.
- 8:48Speaker 1: It's crazy. So I actually think Waddle is going to
- 8:51Speaker 1: be good this week. He would be my start. But
- 8:53Speaker 1: I think you're probably fine with doing Ibuka too. DK
- 8:56Speaker 1: is one that I think is good.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I have him in one league.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Well, the Steelers, that offense, they don't look that explosive.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I don't know. Quarterback question, who do you start this
- 9:05Speaker 1: week between Jared Goff and Justin Herbert?
- 9:08Speaker 3: Oh, man. I lean Jared Goff just because I know
- 9:13Speaker 3: I'm going to score points. I'm going to get a
- 9:16Speaker 3: ton of points. I know it's at Buffalo tomorrow, and
- 9:18Speaker 3: I hate Thursday games. But they scored 21 points against
- 9:24Speaker 3: the Saints. Saints defense is decent. I would still start
- 9:28Speaker 3: Jared Goff.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I'm 1 million percent going with Justin Herbert. Oh, really?
- 9:32Speaker 1: And you'll find out a little bit more later. But
- 9:36Speaker 1: I love the matchup. I think you are very angry
- 9:39Speaker 1: if you're the Chargers. You look terrible. Raiders may be
- 9:42Speaker 1: coming in a little bit on a high, thinking that
- 9:45Speaker 1: they're better than they actually are. I think the Chargers
- 9:48Speaker 1: play big this week, and I like Justin Herbert a
- 9:51Speaker 1: lot this week.
- 9:52Speaker 3: No McConkie.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I understand. I mean, they got other guys. They
- 9:55Speaker 1: got other weapons. um but i like herbert a lot
- 9:57Speaker 1: this week uh final question is at the wide receiver
- 10:00Speaker 1: spot ppr between parker washington or terry mclaurin.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Oh i'm starting terry mclaurin i know parker washington's the
- 10:08Speaker 3: guy scored touchdown scored a touchdown, but again, he's probably
- 10:12Speaker 3: going to go up against Patrick Sertan. Do not let
- 10:14Speaker 3: what happened in week one with the Broncos make you
- 10:16Speaker 3: think the Broncos aren't good. The one thing that isn't good,
- 10:19Speaker 3: I couldn't understand. I know that the Cowboys overhauled their defense.
- 10:24Speaker 3: They only brought back three starters, and they have a
- 10:26Speaker 3: new defensive coordinator. And people were talking about them in
- 10:28Speaker 3: the offseason, in this training camp, as if their defense
- 10:32Speaker 3: was going to turn around and be a top-five defense,
- 10:34Speaker 3: and I didn't understand it. It just takes time. And
- 10:37Speaker 3: they're all so young. And there were so many, the Giants,
- 10:41Speaker 3: they played well, but there were so many blown assignments
- 10:43Speaker 3: because they were all over the place. I don't see
- 10:45Speaker 3: that getting fixed in a week. So I think it's
- 10:48Speaker 3: going to be a shootout.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah, Parker Washington was one of those fantasy darlings
- 10:53Speaker 1: everybody was talking about. And he came through in week one.
- 10:55Speaker 1: And he actually looked good.
- 10:57Speaker 3: I don't think you're going wrong either way. I just
- 10:59Speaker 3: think Patrick Sertan's going to shut down Patrick Washington. That's
- 11:02Speaker 3: just my thing.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Parker.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Parker. Yeah, Terry McLaurin, he's hit or miss. That's the
- 11:08Speaker 1: only thing that makes me a little bit nervous. Sometimes
- 11:11Speaker 1: he'll have a big game, and then sometimes he completely disappears.
- 11:14Speaker 1: He didn't have a great game week one. Parker Washington did.
- 11:18Speaker 1: So you could ride the hot hand and go in
- 11:20Speaker 1: that direction. I'm still– I don't know what Washington is.
- 11:25Speaker 1: That's the hard part. Are they kind of better– I mean,
- 11:28Speaker 1: they played the Eagles tough.
- 11:29Speaker 3: It was a weird game.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Very weird game.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Because the Eagles couldn't really run the ball a ton.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I just don't know. I don't know. I think it's
- 11:34Speaker 1: a coin flip. I think it's a coin flip. And so,
- 11:37Speaker 1: like Thor said, I think you're kind of okay either way. So,
- 11:40Speaker 1: it's just who your gut is telling you more. So,
- 11:43Speaker 1: I think you're fine either way, though. All right. Let's
- 11:45Speaker 1: get to our starts and sits for the week. At quarterback,
- 11:48Speaker 1: who do you like?
- 11:50Speaker 3: Baker Mayfield. He's going against the Browns. Bad game. They
- 11:53Speaker 3: turn the ball over.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Avenge game.
- 11:54Speaker 3: They turn the ball over four times. The Browns are awful. Like,
- 11:57Speaker 3: this isn't one of those things where, oh, the Browns
- 11:59Speaker 3: are turning around with bad week one. No, they're awful.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Todd Munkin has to be regretting it. I know it
- 12:04Speaker 3: was his only chance at getting an offensive head coaching job,
- 12:07Speaker 3: but they're going to be awful. I see the Bucs
- 12:10Speaker 3: steamrolling the Browns, and it's in Tampa.
- 12:13Speaker 1: You're missing the biggest point.
- 12:14Speaker 2: What?
- 12:15Speaker 1: This is the revenge game for Baker.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Oh, duh.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Baker is petty. You said revenge game.
- 12:18Speaker 3: I just thought it was because they stunk last week.
- 12:20Speaker 1: No, Baker is petty.
- 12:21Speaker 3: You're right.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Baker holds on to things. You're right. You're going against
- 12:24Speaker 1: the Browns.
- 12:25Speaker 3: He's going to want to score a ton of points.
- 12:26Speaker 1: He's going to do everything he can.
- 12:27Speaker 3: I totally forgot he was a Brown for a second.
- 12:28Speaker 1: A million percent. Yeah, you're right. Like, Baker is going
- 12:30Speaker 1: to have a big game this week.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Which even leads me to more to believe that he's
- 12:34Speaker 3: going to ball out against them.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I think the Browns are going to... the Bucs
- 12:38Speaker 3: are going to try to score like 50 points.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:40Speaker 3: And they can.
- 12:41Speaker 1: It could be. My start this week, I've already said it,
- 12:44Speaker 1: is Justin Herbert. I love the matchup against the Raiders.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I love the fact that they didn't look good in
- 12:50Speaker 1: week one, and so they're going to come out and
- 12:52Speaker 1: ball out. It's, you know, Raider rivalry week. Raiders aren't
- 12:58Speaker 1: as good as I think that they showed week one. Again,
- 13:00Speaker 1: they played the Dolphins.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I think they're better than last year.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Probably a little bit.
- 13:03Speaker 3: But they're not that great. No.
- 13:05Speaker 1: So I think the Chargers win, and I think Justin
- 13:08Speaker 1: Herbert has a nice game. So he's my start for
- 13:10Speaker 1: the week. Who's your sit?
- 13:11Speaker 3: Oh, this is a good one, Eddie. I have Jonathan
- 13:14Speaker 3: Taylor in fantasy. So I watched some of the Colts game.
- 13:17Speaker 3: And the real Daniel Jones showed up.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Oh, come on.
- 13:21Speaker 3: After that first drive where they went down the field
- 13:23Speaker 3: and scored, he looked awful. First of all, what was
- 13:27Speaker 3: his biggest thing is running. He looked slow because he's
- 13:30Speaker 3: coming off an Achilles injury, and he may have just
- 13:32Speaker 3: lost a step. He's terrible in the pocket. He threw
- 13:35Speaker 3: an awful pick. He took awful sacks.
- 13:37Speaker 1: This is very personal.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Look at what the Chiefs did to the Broncos. Their defense, hey,
- 13:41Speaker 3: I think the Chiefs' offense looked better than it probably is,
- 13:44Speaker 3: but their defense... Still has Steve Spagnuolo. If Montse or
- 13:49Speaker 3: Delane should play, I'm not saying that he's not going
- 13:51Speaker 3: to play, I would sit Daniel Jones, and it feels.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Good to say that. Thank you.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Wow.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Well, you're not going to like my sit. Oh, really?
- 14:00Speaker 1: My sit is Jackson Dart.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Oh, you're crazy.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not crazy. You're crazy. Listen, I know
- 14:04Speaker 1: you want Jackson Dart to be great, and I don't
- 14:06Speaker 1: blame you. And the Giants look great. Honestly, they look
- 14:09Speaker 1: great on Monday night or Sunday night. But this is
- 14:13Speaker 1: a very tough matchup. you got to imagine all these
- 14:17Speaker 1: teams that you expected to be good week one and
- 14:20Speaker 1: they didn't look good. I got to imagine they're going
- 14:22Speaker 1: to come out week two and play much better. And
- 14:25Speaker 1: so I know the Rams had these travel things and
- 14:27Speaker 1: you're coming back from Australia. So they may come out
- 14:30Speaker 1: and lay another dud. I don't know. But my thought
- 14:33Speaker 1: is if, They're going to win this game. It's going
- 14:35Speaker 1: to be based on their defense. They have a great defense.
- 14:38Speaker 1: And I know Myles Garrett isn't going to play. But
- 14:40Speaker 1: they still have a great defense. And I'm not sure
- 14:44Speaker 1: that Jackson Dark... is going to have a giant game.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I think that if they do pull this out, it
- 14:49Speaker 1: may be their running game, and it may be his legs,
- 14:52Speaker 1: but I don't foresee Jackson Dart having this amazing game
- 14:55Speaker 1: or anything like that against the Rams. I'm sorry. I
- 14:57Speaker 1: know that hurts your feelings.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I think the Giants have one of the better offensive
- 15:02Speaker 3: lines in the NFL, and I don't think the pass
- 15:06Speaker 3: rush of the Rams is going to be able to
- 15:07Speaker 3: get there. But we'll see.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Time will tell.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Do I think the Giants are going to win? Probably not.
- 15:12Speaker 3: I think they're probably not going to win. But we'll see.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Yeah, we will. We'll see.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Yeah, we will.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Yeah, we will. Okay. Not going to want Daniel Jones
- 15:19Speaker 1: to go off. Oh, you bastard. Running back, who's your start?
- 15:23Speaker 3: I'm going to go with Chuba Hubbard. Chuba. There was
- 15:26Speaker 3: a lot of talk. Chuba Hubbard, Jonathan Brooks. Chuba Hubbard
- 15:28Speaker 3: scored two touchdowns. He looked pretty good. The Falcons, I don't.
- 15:31Speaker 3: They're not great. So I would just go with Chuba
- 15:33Speaker 3: Hubbard this week.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat as you.
- 15:36Speaker 1: There was a lot of guys that looked like they
- 15:38Speaker 1: were going to be splitting carries where it clearly became
- 15:42Speaker 1: evident who the guy was. And that for me is
- 15:45Speaker 1: Bucky Irving. Bucky Irving is going to be the guy
- 15:48Speaker 1: in Tampa. I know everybody was concerned about Kenneth Gainwell.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I didn't start him because I was like, I'm going
- 15:54Speaker 3: to go with Roderick Stevenson and see what happens now
- 15:58Speaker 3: that I know Bucky's the guy. I'm putting him back in.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I think he was like 63% of
- 16:04Speaker 1: the snaps or something like that. So him versus Cleveland,
- 16:07Speaker 1: it's kind of the same situation you're talking about. I
- 16:09Speaker 1: think the Bucks are going to win big in that game,
- 16:11Speaker 1: and I like Bucky Irving in that game. Who's your sit?
- 16:13Speaker 3: My sit this week is also an upset special. Oh, no.
- 16:16Speaker 3: I think the Jets will beat the Packers this week.
- 16:19Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Said it meant it.
- 16:21Speaker 1: You're listening to too much sports radio.
- 16:23Speaker 3: I am not.
- 16:23Speaker 1: That's crazy talk.
- 16:24Speaker 3: I'm telling you.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I'm going the complete opposite.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Here's the problem with the Packers. They don't have a
- 16:29Speaker 3: running game. And Marshawn Lloyd is terrible. They can't run
- 16:33Speaker 3: the ball. It's all just Jordan Love's got to throw it.
- 16:35Speaker 3: And he led the league in passing this week. But
- 16:38Speaker 3: they lost by two scores. Marshawn Lloyd, I'm sitting him.
- 16:41Speaker 3: The Jets will beat the Packers this week.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I can't.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I can't. Now I'm invested. I didn't care about that
- 16:46Speaker 1: game before. You're going to watch. I'm only going to
- 16:48Speaker 1: watch that game.
- 16:49Speaker 3: What do you have against me and the Jets?
- 16:50Speaker 1: I don't know. I hate these takes that you have.
- 16:52Speaker 1: My sit this week is a little tough because he
- 16:55Speaker 1: actually looked pretty good week one. He's a rookie, so
- 16:59Speaker 1: I get a little nervous, obviously, about that. But again...
- 17:02Speaker 1: I'm against these extremes of teams that look great, that
- 17:06Speaker 1: weren't expected, all those kind of things. The Cardinals. Sorry,
- 17:11Speaker 1: I don't believe in the Cardinals. I know they played
- 17:13Speaker 1: a really good game against the Chargers. I think they're
- 17:15Speaker 1: going to get crushed by Seattle. So Jeremiah Love, who
- 17:19Speaker 1: did score, and he looked pretty good for them week one.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I just don't foresee him going against a really, really
- 17:25Speaker 1: good Seahawks team and going off. And so I don't
- 17:28Speaker 1: like the Cardinals this week. Sorry. And I don't like
- 17:31Speaker 1: Jeremiah Love this week. This week. So that's all I'm saying.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Wide receiver, who's your start?
- 17:35Speaker 3: This guy had three catches for 28 yards, and you
- 17:38Speaker 3: could tell he was not happy. They barely had the ball.
- 17:41Speaker 3: I think that he's going to have a monster game.
- 17:42Speaker 3: George Pickens. Because they're playing at home against Washington. He's
- 17:47Speaker 3: not going to have three catches for 28 yards again.
- 17:49Speaker 1: You've got to stop dropping them, too.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Yeah, that was a bad drop.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Not good. I'm going with the all-time greatest offense of
- 17:57Speaker 1: all time that they're saying. in the Chicago Bears. And
- 18:01Speaker 1: I'm going to go with Luther Burden, who didn't really, again,
- 18:04Speaker 1: who was catching all these touchdowns and doing all these?
- 18:07Speaker 1: And then you put up 59 points. You expect the
- 18:09Speaker 1: main guys to really go off. And a zero for
- 18:13Speaker 1: Colston Loveland. Luther Burden had five for 63.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Everyone's darling this year. And I'm like, wait, who was
- 18:20Speaker 3: the guy there?
- 18:20Speaker 1: I don't even understand what happened. And so if Luther
- 18:24Speaker 1: Burden is going to have a good week, I got
- 18:26Speaker 1: to imagine it's this week against Minnesota. It was a
- 18:28Speaker 1: little quiet for him week one. I think he's going
- 18:30Speaker 1: to have a bigger week this week. I'm going to
- 18:31Speaker 1: go with Luther Burden. Who's your sit?
- 18:33Speaker 3: My sit this week, Eddie, I'm going to jump on
- 18:35Speaker 3: the bandwagon with you when it comes to the Cardinals
- 18:37Speaker 3: and the Seahawks. And I'm sitting Marvin Harrison Jr. I
- 18:41Speaker 3: just don't think he's that good.
- 18:42Speaker 1: He might not be.
- 18:43Speaker 3: He might just be a bust. I think I've drafted
- 18:45Speaker 3: him every year in one of my leagues. He had
- 18:47Speaker 3: one catch for 33 yards.
- 18:49Speaker 1: It's shocking.
- 18:51Speaker 3: He may not be the third best.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Wilson's the better.
- 18:53Speaker 3: He's the better guy. He may go down as an
- 18:56Speaker 3: all-time bust. Because he was supposed to, coming out of college,
- 18:59Speaker 3: he was can't miss next big thing.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on. And again, it's week one.
- 19:04Speaker 1: But I mean, he hasn't put up a resume. Yeah,
- 19:06Speaker 1: he hasn't put up a resume.
- 19:06Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 19:07Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure. My sit this week, again, I know
- 19:10Speaker 1: that we thought Jacksonville is now like a Super Bowl contender.
- 19:14Speaker 1: And they may be. I thought Trevor Lawrence looked really good.
- 19:17Speaker 1: But I don't like Jacoby Myers this week. I know
- 19:20Speaker 1: he scored. But there's a lot of options there in Jacksonville.
- 19:24Speaker 1: And Denver is going to play better.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's at home.
- 19:28Speaker 1: In Denver.
- 19:29Speaker 3: It's a big difference.
- 19:29Speaker 1: It's going to be better. And so I just, if
- 19:32Speaker 1: I'm looking at, I think Parker Washington is going to
- 19:34Speaker 1: be fine. But Jacoby Myers, I don't foresee him having
- 19:38Speaker 1: a big game this week. So I'm sitting Jacoby. Tight end,
- 19:41Speaker 1: who's your start?
- 19:42Speaker 3: So this is a little outside the box. I think
- 19:44Speaker 3: he's going to have a decent game.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Tight ends.
- 19:46Speaker 1: You hit on Isaiah.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Likely I did week one though.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Yeah. Week one.
- 19:50Speaker 3: He's going to go off in week two though.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Probably.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 19:52Speaker 3: But no, I don't think from what I'm seeing, Brock
- 19:54Speaker 3: Bowers probably isn't going to play. So I'm going to
- 19:57Speaker 3: start Michael Mayer. I think it's Meyer or Mayer. I'm
- 19:59Speaker 3: going to start him because he's six catches, seven targets.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Kirk Cousins is at the helm. He'll get him the ball.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Maybe sneak into the end zone. Unless you have one
- 20:08Speaker 3: of the top four tight ends, this is just one
- 20:10Speaker 3: of those streamers for me where you're going to pick
- 20:12Speaker 3: them up because you don't want to start Kyle Pitts
- 20:14Speaker 3: this week. You know what I mean?
- 20:16Speaker 1: My start this week is I'm going to start calling
- 20:18Speaker 1: this guy Mr. Consistency. Because kind of every year he
- 20:22Speaker 1: either goes super late or he's undrafted, and I'm not
- 20:26Speaker 1: really sure why. You can also kind of put Hunter
- 20:28Speaker 1: Henry in that category where he kind of goes under
- 20:30Speaker 1: the radar. He's always somebody's pick up and then drop
- 20:33Speaker 1: and then pick up and then drop or whatever. I'm
- 20:35Speaker 1: going to go with Dallas Goddard. Dallas Goddard is a
- 20:38Speaker 1: guy that for some reason kind of gets under the
- 20:42Speaker 1: radar type of a guy. But he's vital to that offense,
- 20:46Speaker 1: especially now that they don't have A.J. Brown. They're looking
- 20:49Speaker 1: for big targets. And Devontae Smith is the fast guy.
- 20:52Speaker 1: He's kind of small. We don't really know what else
- 20:56Speaker 1: they have there yet. But Dallas Goddard's always there. And
- 21:00Speaker 1: he's a guy that will catch touchdowns and things like that.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Love the matchup this week against Tennessee. So I like
- 21:05Speaker 1: Dallas Goddard this week. Who's your sit?
- 21:07Speaker 3: I just said his name, not realizing I had him
- 21:09Speaker 3: as my sit for a second. Kyle Pitts. Kyle Pitts
- 21:12Speaker 3: had no points last week. They don't have a quarterback.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Even if Cooper Rush doesn't play, it's still Tua, who's
- 21:18Speaker 3: not that great. And I think the Panthers are a
- 21:21Speaker 3: pretty good team. Listen, I know they lost 59.
- 21:24Speaker 1: But yeah, but it was close. It was 31-31.
- 21:27Speaker 3: So I would sit Kyle Pitts this week.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Okay. And my sit this week, you may have some
- 21:33Speaker 1: hope if you saw his one big play on Monday
- 21:37Speaker 1: night and think, oh, Travis Kelsey.
- 21:41Speaker 3: He's still got it. He's still got it.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Let's show Taylor Swift again. This is great. No, Travis Kelsey,
- 21:46Speaker 1: I'm sorry. He still looks old. He doesn't look that great.
- 21:50Speaker 1: He's not going to be a vital part of that offense.
- 21:52Speaker 1: And so he may catch a ball here and there,
- 21:54Speaker 1: and that's fine, but I don't foresee him the guy
- 21:57Speaker 1: who's still going to be catching nine for 120 for
- 22:01Speaker 1: two touchdowns. I don't foresee that happening anymore.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Well, just look at Mahomes' throwing stats. He didn't throw
- 22:05Speaker 3: for 200 yards.
- 22:05Speaker 1: No, no.
- 22:06Speaker 3: So it's like I don't really believe in their receiving core.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Or their tight end at all.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Although Rasheed Rice, you know, he still looks like it.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Yeah, but like Xavier Worley.
- 22:17Speaker 1: He's a gadget guy. Yeah. He's a gadget guy. So
- 22:20Speaker 1: I'm with you on this one. Yeah, I don't think
- 22:21Speaker 1: Travis Kelsey is it anymore. I think the Chiefs will
- 22:24Speaker 1: be fine against the Colts, but I don't like Travis
- 22:26Speaker 1: Kelsey this week.
- 22:27Speaker 3: So our two big things to focus on next week.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Did the Jets beat the Packers? And did Jackson Dart
- 22:31Speaker 3: have a big game?
- 22:32Speaker 1: Oh, those are it. Those are it. We're going to
- 22:34Speaker 1: find out who's got the freezing cold take next week.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Hopefully you go out and get a win.
