  You know, it's been a whirlwind, you know, for everybody. So as soon as Thanksgiving,

  we finish our turkey and we go into our little bit of our,

  post-turkey coma. The minute we wake up the next day, it's just a mad rush until

  January 2nd. And that's exactly what it's been for us.

  It's great to be back and great to be back with my friends here at Have Faith.

  So, Angel, I was mentioning in the podcast that you so kindly are recommending.

  About this feeling that I've had, not just my feeling in work,

  just my feeling as a human.

  And, and that's sort of the loss of, of our humanity.

  It's this darkness, this covering, this blackness, this cloud that seems to

  be coming over the earth and seems to be,

  you know, almost as if Satan has brought his minions down to,

  to invade and, and to sort of, to demonize us.

  I mean, it's nothing political. I know my podcast is not a political podcast, nor is yours.

  And it really has nothing to do with what side of the fence you're on politically.

  It's just a human feeling.

  It's a feeling of disconnection. It's a feeling of coldness.

  I almost feel that the kindness is hemorrhaging from our world and there's so much rage and anger.

  And, you know, I happen to have this blessed opportunity to do something so silly.

  So something so easy, something so small, just to charge a patient's cell phone
• 3:28
  while they were in the emergency room made such a difference in their life.
• 3:32
  Then we basically spun that into a podcast on kindness in healthcare.

  But I would like to challenge the Have Faith, Let It Begin audience to bring
• 3:43
  kindness into their jobs, into their work.
• 3:46
  Angel, when you get those calls of.
• 3:49
  People that start yelling at you and screaming at you because they're very frustrated.
• 3:54
  You know, that's an indication of how, you know, almost like in the movie Ghostbusters,
• 3:58
  when all those evil spirits were let out, it's like almost everyone started
• 4:02
  fighting and there was this wind and people were throwing things at each other.
• 4:07
  And, you know, people are going to be doing that and it's going to be your opportunity.

  That will be your opportunity to sort of let the the love of the Lord,
• 4:16
  that's Holy Spirit come out and to soften them and to bring them into kindness.

  You might be a fireman and you might be going to a silly call about a cat in
• 4:26
  a tree and you have all your heavy equipment on and you're this and that,
• 4:30
  and you're thinking, oh my God, what a bunch of BS this is.
• 4:34
  And then you end up getting the cat and then you see, you know,
• 4:38
  the look on this child's face that you just saved their best friend.
• 4:42
  Or if you happen to work at a deli and you just put that little bit of extra
• 4:49
  love into that sandwich that'll give our construction worker that energy they'll
• 4:53
  need to get through their day, their difficult day.
• 4:56
  You could be a policeman, you could be anything, you could be a candlestick
• 5:02
  maker, doesn't matter what you are.
• 5:04
  Please, what I'm hoping that will do, and I'm sure Angel will segue my thoughts

  his thoughts, but let's all try to be kind in 2026.

  Let's try not to be reactive.

  Let's try to, in our relationships and in our work and in our dealings with

  people, let's try to be that kind.

  Help us live that out, not just in words, but in action.

  In the moments of stress, waiting, or uncertainty, let us be the source of peace, not pressure.

  Let our kindness reflect your heart, especially to those who are hurting or afraid or in need.

  So today we ask you, Lord, to guard our joy and don't let anyone or anything steal that from us.

  Instead, help us share that joy freely through simple acts of love that can change lives.
