- 1:09Speaker 1: Again Welcome back. Thanks for being with us. It is
- 1:13Speaker 1: All Willie Wednesday. Scott Clendenin is here. The 10 highest
- 1:17Speaker 1: estimated college. Oh, let me read this again. I did
- 1:20Speaker 1: it at the top of the hour. At 3 o'clock,
- 1:22Speaker 1: this came out from A & M Athletics.
- 1:23Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:25Speaker 1: There was, I'll quote, there was a heat-related medical emergency
- 1:29Speaker 1: at practice yesterday. Thanks to the quick response of our
- 1:32Speaker 1: incredible medical staff, we were able to act swiftly and
- 1:35Speaker 1: provide the athlete with the care he needed. Out of
- 1:38Speaker 1: an abundance of caution, he was transported to a local
- 1:42Speaker 1: hospital for evaluation and has since been released. He is
- 1:46Speaker 1: now back with the program and will be available this weekend.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I mean, this heat sucks. It is bad. These kids
- 1:57Speaker 1: are in outstanding shape, but we have had every year,
- 2:04Speaker 1: and not By the dozens, but we have people die.
- 2:09Speaker 1: We had a high school kid that happened to before
- 2:12Speaker 1: the season began. So these are serious things, and they
- 2:17Speaker 1: take them seriously, but they have so much better ability
- 2:22Speaker 1: and are so much more on top of that.
- 2:24Speaker 7: That vest thing that they wear measures everything in a
- 2:29Speaker 7: way that, you know.
- 2:32Speaker 8: Yep.
- 2:33Speaker 7: Used to not.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It's a little different than the Bear Bryant days. Let's
- 2:36Speaker 1: put it that way. Than the Junction days. It's a
- 2:39Speaker 1: little different.
- 2:39Speaker 7: It's a little different?
- 2:40Speaker 1: Yeah, slightly.
- 2:42Speaker 7: Okay. How many buses did it come back with?
- 2:45Speaker 9: One.
- 2:46Speaker 1: How many did they take?
- 2:47Speaker 7: Four?
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's right.
- 2:49Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:50Speaker 1: The 10 highest estimated college football roster budgets this year.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Six of them in the SEC.
- 3:00Speaker 7: Okay, let me guess the ones that are not.
- 3:02Speaker 1: That are not the SEC?
- 3:03Speaker 7: Yes.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Okay. Should be easy, but not necessarily. Not necessarily.
- 3:07Speaker 7: Ohio State?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yep. They're number one.
- 3:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 1: But estimated, obviously. So the way the Athletic broke it down,
- 3:14Speaker 1: they said their budget is between $ 49 and $ 54 million. Okay.
- 3:18Speaker 7: All right.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Remember when they had the $ 20 million roster two years
- 3:22Speaker 1: ago when they won the national championship? Everybody said that's
- 3:25Speaker 1: just outrageous. Yes. It's outrageous. This year it's $ 54 million.
- 3:30Speaker 10: Indiana?
- 3:31Speaker 7: Indiana.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Nope.
- 3:33Speaker 7: Okay.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Oregon?
- 3:35Speaker 11: Yep.
- 3:35Speaker 1: There are two. Okay. 48 to 54 million.
- 3:41Speaker 7: Michigan?
- 3:42Speaker 1: Michigan is not in the top 10.
- 3:43Speaker 11: Oh.
- 3:44Speaker 1: According to The Athletic. I would have put them there.
- 3:46Speaker 7: I would have.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:48Speaker 7: Miami?
- 3:49Speaker 1: Miami. How about that? Miami's playing the game. I mean,
- 3:54Speaker 1: they've always had money. Let's not kid ourselves.
- 3:58Speaker 7: Well, Miami plays the quarterback game.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I'm not going to say that they... Well, I promise
- 4:04Speaker 1: you that Mr. Tony's getting paid, too.
- 4:07Speaker 10: Oh, yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah. They are sixth. They're sixth. Okay. Between 44 and
- 4:15Speaker 1: 50 million. Now, Mensa, is it Mensa? Yes. He was
- 4:19Speaker 1: the highest paid quarterback more than Arch, right, this year?
- 4:22Speaker 4: Yes.
- 4:22Speaker 1: If I read that correctly? Yes. Five? Four to five million.
- 4:26Speaker 7: Yes, four to five million.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:28Speaker 7: Because he had four million at Duke.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:31Speaker 7: So you know they had to come up from that.
- 4:33Speaker 10: Okay.
- 4:34Speaker 1: He had $ 4 million at Duke? Yeah, they were paying—
- 4:37Speaker 1: Does he play basketball?
- 4:38Speaker 7: Allegedly, they were giving him more than Cooper Flack. No,
- 4:43Speaker 7: more than, no, it was Boozer.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Oh, Boozer.
- 4:46Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 4:47Speaker 6: Really? Yeah.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I don't believe that.
- 4:49Speaker 7: No, not for a minute.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I don't believe that.
- 4:51Speaker 7: Not for a minute.
- 4:52Speaker 1: But that's a lot.
- 4:53Speaker 9: Yes.
- 4:53Speaker 1: That shocks me. I'm not saying, I know Duke has money.
- 4:56Speaker 7: Who is the other non-SEC that I can't think of?
- 4:59Speaker 1: Notre Dame.
- 5:00Speaker 12: Notre Dame.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. That's okay. 41 to 48 million at number seven.
- 5:03Speaker 13: Okay.
- 5:03Speaker 11: Okay.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Texas.
- 5:03Speaker 1: 45 to 55 million.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Okay.
- 5:04Speaker 7: LSU.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yep. 47 to 50 million. So I don't know why
- 5:16Speaker 1: they put... Oh, because they had Texas as high as
- 5:18Speaker 1: 55 million. That's why. I'd heard 50. Doesn't matter when
- 5:24Speaker 1: you get up there. LSU, 47 to 50. A & M,
- 5:25Speaker 1: 45 to 50. Ole Miss, 39 to 45 million.
- 5:26Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Tennessee, 41 to 43 million. And Alabama... At $ 38 to
- 5:42Speaker 1: $ 42 million. They don't have any money. They got it
- 5:46Speaker 1: from somewhere.
- 5:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I mean, they're 10th, but they're 6th in the SEC.
- 5:52Speaker 6: Yes.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I mean, that's... You were talking about Nick Saban leaving?
- 5:56Speaker 11: Right.
- 5:57Speaker 1: He saw the writing on the wall. I mean, yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 1: Alabama is behind. Texas, LSU, A & M, Ole Miss,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and Tennessee. They're 6th in their budget. And guess what?
- 6:10Speaker 1: Right now.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I picked Alabama to be a little better than most
- 6:17Speaker 1: people did in this league. But they were slotted in.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I believe Phil Steele had them fourth, fifth, something like that.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Right.
- 6:27Speaker 1: In the league. So, man, that's nuts. So, all right.
- 6:38Speaker 7: Well, A & M has the highest basketball player in
- 6:41Speaker 7: the SEC.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Yeah. And they're about to have to pay another one, apparently.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Or have already paid him. Ryland Griffin. Right? I don't know.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I mean, he's going to play.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Is he?
- 6:59Speaker 1: Unless, well, he may not. The hearing is September 28th
- 7:04Speaker 1: on the temporary restraining order. You saw all that yesterday, right? Okay.
- 7:09Speaker 7: But what did the Senate pass the... Protect college sports today?
- 7:14Speaker 7: Did they pass it today?
- 7:15Speaker 1: Yes. I haven't seen officially.
- 7:17Speaker 7: 76 to 24.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Well, I thought that was a procedural vote before they
- 7:21Speaker 1: actually voted.
- 7:23Speaker 7: It's still going to be 76.
- 7:24Speaker 1: It's going to pass.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Yes.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Right?
- 7:26Speaker 4: Yes.
- 7:27Speaker 1: But what happens after that? Doesn't it have to go
- 7:33Speaker 1: to the House?
- 7:34Speaker 7: It does have to go to the House.
- 7:35Speaker 1: That'll be a mess.
- 7:36Speaker 7: It'll be a mess, yes.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:39Speaker 7: I still think it's going to pass.
- 7:40Speaker 11: Yes.
- 7:41Speaker 1: And I think it's going to be signed into law.
- 7:43Speaker 1: You think it will be effective immediately?
- 7:45Speaker 7: I think it's going to be effective immediately.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Okay. So what will that— that will change some things.
- 7:52Speaker 7: That will definitely change some things. When the NCAA has
- 7:57Speaker 7: a rule in place, you're not going to be able
- 8:01Speaker 7: to have a state court— Issue injunctions. Issue injunctions.
- 8:06Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:07Speaker 7: I mean, this is interstate commerce, isn't it? Isn't it
- 8:10Speaker 7: interstate commerce?
- 8:11Speaker 1: Yes, but you said, look, you just said it has
- 8:16Speaker 1: to go to the House. This thing will not be
- 8:18Speaker 1: law anytime soon. I promise you, it will not be
- 8:22Speaker 1: law anytime soon. And it sure won't be this football
- 8:27Speaker 1: season and basketball starts in November. No way. No way.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Because they're leaving before the elections, right? They're all leaving.
- 8:35Speaker 1: The elections come in November. They'll all be gone. There
- 8:39Speaker 1: won't be any votes.
- 8:40Speaker 7: No, they're going to have a vote. The House is
- 8:42Speaker 7: going to have a vote on this, and President Trump
- 8:45Speaker 7: will sign it into law in the next three weeks.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I haven't read anything about that part of it. Nobody's
- 8:52Speaker 1: talked a lot about that particular part of it, right?
- 8:56Speaker 1: I know if it gets to Trump, he's going to
- 8:58Speaker 1: sign it.
- 8:59Speaker 7: Would Congress rather work on other legislation?
- 9:03Speaker 4: No, true.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I mean, this is... Well, they can't agree on any
- 9:06Speaker 1: other legislation.
- 9:07Speaker 7: This is easy stuff.
- 9:08Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 9:09Speaker 1: We'll see.
- 9:09Speaker 7: Well, but I'm saying, Chip, this is.
- 9:11Speaker 1: And I'm saying you've been around long enough to know
- 9:13Speaker 1: how that body works up there.
- 9:15Speaker 7: Would you rather worry about gas prices?
- 9:16Speaker 1: Don't ask me what I'd rather.
- 9:18Speaker 7: I'm just saying. I just don't think they're going to
- 9:21Speaker 7: work on gas prices or the price of food.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I've got no confidence for them to pass anything. So
- 9:30Speaker 1: we'll see.
- 9:31Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Let's talk some football on the field. What did you
- 9:39Speaker 1: see Saturday?
- 9:45Speaker 7: I didn't think that Arizona State was going to win
- 9:48Speaker 7: the game.
- 9:49Speaker 11: Ever? Ever.
- 9:51Speaker 7: At any point in time. I thought the game-changing play
- 9:58Speaker 7: was the long touchdown pass. as much or more than
- 10:03Speaker 7: the two pick sixes.
- 10:04Speaker 1: In terms of what?
- 10:06Speaker 7: Just momentum. Momentum. Yes, you had the muffed punt. They
- 10:13Speaker 7: took the football over there. They had not done much offensively.
- 10:17Speaker 7: The head coach was right. They had one bust in
- 10:20Speaker 7: coverage to an NFL wide receiver guy. That guy can play.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Yeah, he can.
- 10:25Speaker 7: It might be a while before A & M sees
- 10:27Speaker 7: another receiver that will play that well. When is Alabama?
- 10:33Speaker 7: And I don't even know if he plays that well.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Well, when he catches the ball, he does. Right. Yeah.
- 10:39Speaker 7: So hit me with the schedule upcoming.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Well, you know LSU has some receivers.
- 10:45Speaker 7: Yeah, but I don't think they're as talented as that
- 10:47Speaker 7: guy is.
- 10:48Speaker 1: They may not be, but you know they have it.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Alabama is not until October 24th. Right. South Carolina has
- 10:55Speaker 1: a dude.
- 10:56Speaker 7: South Carolina has a dude.
- 10:57Speaker 1: That's the following week.
- 10:58Speaker 7: South Carolina has a first-round pick.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Yes.
- 11:00Speaker 7: Okay. Yes.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I want to see the ball in Mario Craver's hands more.
- 11:09Speaker 7: I want to see the ball in K.J. Jefferson's hands more.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Maybe so, too. I'd like Mario Craver to get 10
- 11:17Speaker 1: touches a game. Or at least 10 attempts a game.
- 11:21Speaker 7: I want to see it in Bussey's hand more. I
- 11:23Speaker 7: want to see it in.
- 11:26Speaker 7: There are enough weapons that if your quarterback finds the
- 11:31Speaker 7: one that is in single coverage, if they have that ability,
- 11:36Speaker 7: this offense would be very hard to stop. That is
- 11:41Speaker 7: what LSU did against Clemson in the first game and
- 11:45Speaker 7: didn't do in the second game. They're all going to
- 11:49Speaker 7: have weapons. Alabama did not get the ball in the
- 11:52Speaker 7: hands of their weapons in the first half against Kentucky.
- 11:55Speaker 7: In the second half, they did. And they played defense
- 11:58Speaker 7: off of that. I don't think.
- 12:06Speaker 7: I think you saw Ohio State get the ball in
- 12:09Speaker 7: the hands of its weapons in the first half and
- 12:11Speaker 7: not in the second half.
- 12:15Speaker 1: You know, I got to tell you, after watching Bo
- 12:20Speaker 1: Jackson run, he's, I would call, an average major college
- 12:27Speaker 1: running back.
- 12:28Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:30Speaker 1: He's certainly not special.
- 12:31Speaker 7: Their wide receivers are what's special at Ohio State.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, they've had great running backs too, but
- 12:38Speaker 1: they don't have one right now.
- 12:40Speaker 7: No, and not as special as those wide receivers. And
- 12:43Speaker 7: the freshman kid that played like 10 snaps by the
- 12:47Speaker 7: end of the year, what's his name's son, something junior,
- 12:53Speaker 7: I can't remember which dad was an NFL player at
- 12:56Speaker 7: Ohio State. He'll be doing things at the end of
- 12:58Speaker 7: the year. It's just game two, he's not ready. I
- 13:01Speaker 7: thought Texas won without getting the ball.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Into the hands of their playmakers. Well, they dropped the ball.
- 13:09Speaker 7: The tight end was a non-factor, somebody that Ohio State
- 13:13Speaker 7: wouldn't even worry about covering, and he made them pay
- 13:16Speaker 7: in the fourth quarter. He did. That was good coaching by.
- 13:21Speaker 1: But those two guys had major drops. Now, Jeremiah Smith
- 13:30Speaker 1: had a couple of drops in the fourth quarter, right?
- 13:32Speaker 1: When they're trying to hang on to the lead... He
- 13:35Speaker 1: had a couple of drops. Balls that he would normally catch.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I'm not saying they were routine, but we've seen him.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I mean, one of the balls he caught, you know,
- 13:45Speaker 1: that deep downfield with the one hand, and we saw
- 13:48Speaker 1: what he could do. We know what he can do.
- 13:50Speaker 7: But they didn't get– they were not– But they covered
- 13:52Speaker 7: him in the fourth quarter, too. But they also were like,
- 13:56Speaker 7: if we run the ball, we're going to win the game.
- 13:58Speaker 7: Why are we going to put the– why are we
- 14:00Speaker 7: going to pass?
- 14:02Speaker 1: He was too– it's– Post game's always easier. He was
- 14:06Speaker 1: definitely too conservative. Yeah. But they moved the ball for
- 14:11Speaker 1: three quarters, basically, right?
- 14:13Speaker 13: Yes.
- 14:14Speaker 1: And you look at it, and you have a 20-point lead,
- 14:19Speaker 1: and it's like, hey, we're just going to do what
- 14:22Speaker 1: we normally do. And he did throw some passes, right?
- 14:25Speaker 1: Smith dropped a couple of passes. He had a couple
- 14:28Speaker 1: knocked away.
- 14:28Speaker 7: It was a mirror image of the South Carolina game
- 14:32Speaker 7: for A & M, Chip.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Yeah, not as big a lead. I mean, they had
- 14:37Speaker 1: to overcome, but a better team they had to overcome. Yeah.
- 14:39Speaker 1: For sure.
- 14:41Speaker 7: But you're down 20 points in the fourth quarter. What
- 14:45Speaker 7: are you going to do?
- 14:46Speaker 1: I mean, you have to let it go.
- 14:48Speaker 7: You have to go forward on fourth down. You have
- 14:50Speaker 7: to be successful doing that. Texas was this year. A
- 14:53Speaker 7: & M was last year. It's just the things you
- 14:56Speaker 7: have to do to have that comeback.
- 14:59Speaker 1: And.
- 14:59Speaker 7: Texas found something that Ohio State was not going to cover,
- 15:03Speaker 7: and that was Arch getting to the edge and the
- 15:07Speaker 7: tight end being opened in the middle of the field
- 15:09Speaker 7: when they were running those guys off that weren't catching
- 15:12Speaker 7: the ball off and opening up the middle of the field.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Well, also, I'm not sure which was which, but it
- 15:17Speaker 1: was pretty obvious Ohio State was just done by midway
- 15:22Speaker 1: through the fourth quarter. Those guys were gassed. Their defense
- 15:27Speaker 1: played almost 40 plays in the fourth quarter. Yeah, they
- 15:30Speaker 1: were not. It was 98 degrees.
- 15:31Speaker 7: Not rotating like.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Not like Texas was rotating. Not like A & M rotated.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Not like A & M can rotate.
- 15:37Speaker 5: No.
- 15:39Speaker 1: They were gassed. Yes, and that's where their youthful. So
- 15:42Speaker 1: the running game opened up. Yeah.
- 15:44Speaker 11: Right?
- 15:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Those guys are pretty good. I got to say, I
- 15:48Speaker 1: was skeptical. I mean, I saw a Smothers kid last
- 15:52Speaker 1: year at North Carolina State. Saw highlights. I was skeptical.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I didn't think they should have gotten rid of Travion Weisner.
- 16:04Speaker 1: A & M fans are probably glad that they did.
- 16:07Speaker 7: I have not seen anything that these two guys have
- 16:09Speaker 7: done that comes close to what Travion Weisner has done.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Against A & M. But Smothers impressed me more so
- 16:18Speaker 1: than I expected. I'm listening to the Kentucky coach today.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I watched a little last week against Alabama. C.J. Baxter
- 16:28Speaker 1: was like a four- or five-star kid, right? Yes. I mean,
- 16:30Speaker 1: he was highly coveted. Was he not?
- 16:32Speaker 7: He was.
- 16:34Speaker 1: 6'1, 230, just injured. And a great kid. A kid,
- 16:41Speaker 1: for me, I would have kept in my locker room.
- 16:44Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 16:45Speaker 11: Yes.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I mean, it's not... Subtraction by subtraction. I mean, they
- 16:51Speaker 1: lost one of those guys that every team needs four
- 16:57Speaker 1: or five of in their locker room. And he was
- 16:59Speaker 1: one of those guys.
- 17:00Speaker 7: That's why Bussey still being here and putting himself through.
- 17:03Speaker 12: All of this.
- 17:04Speaker 1: And you know what? It's paid off.
- 17:06Speaker 7: It's paid off.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Funny how that works sometimes at college, right? You see
- 17:09Speaker 1: guys just hang around the same program. You know where
- 17:12Speaker 1: it worked?
- 17:13Speaker 7: And work. The coaches know if you're a worker or
- 17:17Speaker 7: if you're just somebody who's been putting on the uniform
- 17:19Speaker 7: for two years. If you're just a guy who's been
- 17:21Speaker 7: putting on the uniform for two years and somebody's going
- 17:24Speaker 7: to give you NIL money, go. I haven't lost anything
- 17:28Speaker 7: because all you've done is put on the uniform.
- 17:30Speaker 1: No doubt.
- 17:31Speaker 7: Bussey never was one of those guys. C.J. Baxter wasn't
- 17:34Speaker 7: one of those guys.
- 17:36Speaker 11: Right.
- 17:38Speaker 1: My point was now he's got apparently a dislocated thumb,
- 17:41Speaker 1: the coach said today. His thumb was in and out
- 17:44Speaker 1: on a key third and one. They couldn't put him in.
- 17:47Speaker 1: He said, oh, he's fine today. He took every snap
- 17:49Speaker 1: in practice today. And I'm going, come on, man.
- 17:52Speaker 7: And maybe he did.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I mean, you know, maybe he did. But he's, in
- 17:56Speaker 1: my mind, he'll probably come in here and run for 110,
- 17:59Speaker 1: but I don't think so. I mean, he could have
- 18:03Speaker 1: been a great player. He's not that guy. I didn't
- 18:07Speaker 1: see a lot from Kentucky today. Personally.
- 18:11Speaker 7: Kentucky, when you had that start.
- 18:13Speaker 1: They had that crowd the first half. You had the start.
- 18:16Speaker 1: You had the pick six right at the goal line.
- 18:19Speaker 7: All of the things that could go right for Kentucky.
- 18:21Speaker 1: It did.
- 18:22Speaker 7: And the air just started going out of the balloon
- 18:25Speaker 7: the rest of the time.
- 18:26Speaker 1: In the second half. In the second half. That last
- 18:29Speaker 1: drive of the first half. Yeah. I didn't watch every
- 18:32Speaker 1: play because I'm flipping. But I didn't see anything you
- 18:38Speaker 1: think that. they could come in here and just hurt
- 18:42Speaker 1: the way I've watched this defense play so far.
- 18:44Speaker 14: Right.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I just haven't seen it.
- 18:46Speaker 7: Because I think Arizona State's going to win games.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I think they're going to win some games. That quarterback
- 18:51Speaker 1: was better than I thought he was. I will say that. Yes.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Better than what I saw of him before. Running backs
- 18:57Speaker 1: were decent. I mean, nothing special, but decent. And, of course,
- 19:02Speaker 1: they have a dude at receiver. And the other kid
- 19:05Speaker 1: was– Wasn't he as highly touted, the Omarian kid? He
- 19:10Speaker 1: didn't do much. Guess he didn't need to once they
- 19:14Speaker 1: found out they could throw to Harris. But, yeah, I
- 19:18Speaker 1: think Arizona State may be a little better team than
- 19:21Speaker 1: Kentucky right now. Especially, you know, quarterbacks and, you know,
- 19:25Speaker 1: Kentucky's got this kid and he wasn't very good, you know.
- 19:29Speaker 7: Well, where did Arizona State's quarterback come from?
- 19:31Speaker 1: Where did he come from?
- 19:32Speaker 7: Kentucky, I think.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Seriously? No, no, no, no, no.
- 19:35Speaker 7: Somewhere in the SEC.
- 19:36Speaker 1: It was somewhere, but I don't think it was Kentucky.
- 19:41Speaker 7: You got the flip. No, I don't have that. Oh,
- 19:42Speaker 7: that's not.
- 19:43Speaker 1: But I have the other. I have the other written
- 19:45Speaker 1: down while I'm looking it up. Let me see where
- 19:50Speaker 1: he came from. You're talking about the. Oh, the quarterback
- 19:56Speaker 1: from Notre. Oh, no, you're talking about the Arizona.
- 19:58Speaker 10: OK.
- 19:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:59Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 19:59Speaker 1: I can find that. Let me see.
- 20:03Speaker 7: Cutter.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Bowling.
- 20:05Speaker 11: Bowley.
- 20:07Speaker 1: What number is he?
- 20:08Speaker 11: Ten?
- 20:09Speaker 1: Okay, no, eight. Cutter Bowley.
- 20:11Speaker 7: Well, you've got to do it alphabetical.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I know, I know. That's what I want to do
- 20:14Speaker 1: because it's got all the information on it. Bowley, A, A, A, Bowley. Okay,
- 20:21Speaker 1: here he is. Cutter Bowley. You're right. He came from Kentucky.
- 20:26Speaker 1: He probably should still be there.
- 20:28Speaker 13: No.
- 20:30Speaker 7: We got this other guy coming.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Yeah, he wasn't very good.
- 20:35Speaker 7: Now you like 14 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, which from a
- 20:39Speaker 7: Mark Stoops quarterback. Hey, that's not bad.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Uh, Minchie. Yeah. Uh, the Minchie's from, from Notre Dame.
- 20:46Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 20:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:46Speaker 1: He's the one from Notre Dame. Yeah. He was here
- 20:49Speaker 1: two years ago.
- 20:50Speaker 7: I don't think, I don't think they're missing.
- 20:52Speaker 1: They don't think Notre Dame's missing him. No, I don't.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I think Minchie did well by, by leaving. Cause he
- 20:59Speaker 1: wouldn't go play behind CJ car. Um, Yeah. Who's the
- 21:03Speaker 1: best team you've seen so far that you've watched, that
- 21:05Speaker 1: you think is the number one team right now? Who's
- 21:07Speaker 1: the number one team right now?
- 21:09Speaker 7: Well, they haven't played anybody, but I would still say
- 21:11Speaker 7: Miami right now.
- 21:12Speaker 1: That's what I said. That's where my vote would go.
- 21:17Speaker 1: That's where my vote would go right now. Because I
- 21:20Speaker 1: think from what I've watched all the teams now, not
- 21:24Speaker 1: all their games, but I've watched them. Miami's my number
- 21:28Speaker 1: one team right now.
- 21:30Speaker 5: Right?
- 21:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Georgia, I haven't even seen. I know who Georgia is,
- 21:33Speaker 1: but they'd be my number two team right now.
- 21:36Speaker 7: It'd be 1 and 1A. I mean, Georgia is, like
- 21:40Speaker 7: I said last week.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Have you watched them?
- 21:42Speaker 7: No, I've not, but that was the first. Two weeks
- 21:44Speaker 7: ago was the first time he had ever covered as
- 21:46Speaker 7: a 40-point favorite, and then he did it again in
- 21:49Speaker 7: week two. So evidently Georgia's got something.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Oh, I know. I mean, I know who Georgia is.
- 21:56Speaker 7: When did they come in here?
- 21:57Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 21:58Speaker 7: Next year.
- 21:59Speaker 10: Okay.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Next year.
- 22:00Speaker 7: He's going to lose all the talent.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Between now and next year. Yeah, he won't have anything.
- 22:03Speaker 7: What do you think about this? What just happened? LSU
- 22:06Speaker 7: and Ole Miss.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I tell you what. I'm going with the quarterback. I
- 22:12Speaker 1: went with the quarterback.
- 22:14Speaker 7: Which quarterback?
- 22:15Speaker 1: The best one.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Levin?
- 22:17Speaker 1: Trinidad. No, Trinidad.
- 22:21Speaker 7: What's going to win the game is the running back.
- 22:23Speaker 7: If Lacey is Lacey.
- 22:24Speaker 1: The running back's dang good.
- 22:26Speaker 7: If Lacey is Lacey.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Yeah. And I think he's healthy. I do. I know
- 22:30Speaker 1: he got dinged early, but I think he's fine. And
- 22:34Speaker 1: I'm with you. I mean, that's a one-two punch. Now,
- 22:40Speaker 1: I still don't know what to... I saw LSU against Clemson, okay?
- 22:45Speaker 1: I don't think Clemson is very good still. So it's
- 22:50Speaker 1: hard to know that. But I like the quarterback. I
- 22:55Speaker 1: like him at home. I just think that... You know,
- 23:00Speaker 1: it's a toss-up. LSU's three-point favorite, I think, going in,
- 23:03Speaker 1: which means they're probably about a six- or seven-point favorite
- 23:06Speaker 1: because they're playing on the road. I like Ole Miss.
- 23:10Speaker 7: I don't like that number.
- 23:12Speaker 6: Why?
- 23:16Speaker 7: For a night game in Mississippi, you talked about some libations.
- 23:22Speaker 7: Ole Miss can stand up to what happens around Death
- 23:25Speaker 7: Valley pretty good for this game. For this game. If
- 23:31Speaker 7: you have the kind of start that Kentucky had against
- 23:35Speaker 7: Alabama by Ole Miss, they ain't letting LSU reel them
- 23:40Speaker 7: back in.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Yeah, well, you know, I just think there's a lot.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Here's the other thing I would say. Is there too
- 23:52Speaker 1: much emotion? Because sometimes there can be too much emotion. Yes.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Maybe they will settle in. You know they're going to
- 24:00Speaker 1: be jacked.
- 24:00Speaker 7: But that's what I'm saying. Kentucky had that emotion. That's
- 24:03Speaker 7: what he did. He pushed that button.
- 24:06Speaker 1: But the better team won.
- 24:07Speaker 7: Yes, but he pushed that button.
- 24:09Speaker 1: And in this case, I don't know who the better
- 24:11Speaker 1: team is.
- 24:11Speaker 7: No, they're much closer.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know who the better team is.
- 24:14Speaker 6: Yes.
- 24:15Speaker 1: And I'm still a little shaky on the Ole Miss defense,
- 24:19Speaker 1: but I think Louisville's good. And I think that quarterback
- 24:22Speaker 1: is good. But I was still a little shaky about that.
- 24:27Speaker 1: But I know they have players. I know they have
- 24:31Speaker 1: that roster. They've got players. They've got D-linemen. I think
- 24:38Speaker 1: it's going to be fun.
- 24:39Speaker 7: Do you think it's fun? I don't know if you
- 24:40Speaker 7: saw the CBS Sports story that maybe because they want
- 24:46Speaker 7: them to start winning now, That Oklahoma State is publicly
- 24:50Speaker 7: saying what the tell was?
- 24:52Speaker 1: I was surprised by that.
- 24:56Speaker 7: I was shocked that you would let that out.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I was surprised that he gave that away.
- 25:01Speaker 9: Yes.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Really surprised. I mean, I don't know if they're buddies.
- 25:06Speaker 1: I really don't. I was stunned.
- 25:10Speaker 4: Yes.
- 25:11Speaker 1: But I will say this. You know, the Oregon offensive
- 25:16Speaker 1: coordinator will be here as the head coach on Saturday.
- 25:19Speaker 6: Right.
- 25:20Speaker 1: They're missing him.
- 25:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Big time. Dante Moore is missing him.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 1: And the head coach is missing him. Yes. Because this
- 25:30Speaker 1: ain't the same Oregon team I expected to see for sure.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Oklahoma State, they have a quarterback. Now, I understand what
- 25:39Speaker 1: happened against Tulsa. I don't know.
- 25:41Speaker 7: No, they do.
- 25:41Speaker 1: No, they absolutely have a quarterback.
- 25:44Speaker 7: What did Tulsa do last week, Chip?
- 25:46Speaker 1: They got beat, right?
- 25:47Speaker 7: No.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Did they win?
- 25:48Speaker 7: They beat Sam when Sam threw an interception in the last.
- 25:51Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 25:52Speaker 7: A red zone interception in the last minute for Tulsa
- 25:56Speaker 7: to hang on and win that game.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Tulsa's not any good either, Chip. I didn't say they were.
- 26:03Speaker 1: I knew they were. I'm just saying. Okay.
- 26:06Speaker 6: Okay.
- 26:07Speaker 7: And, okay, it's not any different than Mateer.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Oh, no, I don't believe that at all.
- 26:15Speaker 6: Well, I do.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I don't believe that. You're talking about Mestemaker?
- 26:17Speaker 7: Yes, I believe that. I didn't like Mateer last year
- 26:21Speaker 7: coming from Washington State.
- 26:22Speaker 1: You know I didn't.
- 26:23Speaker 7: Okay.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Still don't.
- 26:26Speaker 7: So what did they do last week?
- 26:29Speaker 1: Oh, wait. No, I think Mestemaker is infinitely better than
- 26:33Speaker 1: Mateer is.
- 26:35Speaker 7: I don't... I think it's the same story. Maybe he
- 26:40Speaker 7: will end up being better.
- 26:42Speaker 1: He's better.
- 26:42Speaker 7: But Oklahoma State's not going to win a bunch of games.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I didn't say they're going to win a bunch of games,
- 26:47Speaker 1: but they have a quarterback.
- 26:49Speaker 5: Well, you know.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I don't think this is their only win. Let's put
- 26:52Speaker 1: it that way. And they play a directional school. They
- 26:56Speaker 1: should because they should have beaten Tulsa, I think. But anyway,
- 27:00Speaker 1: that was first game. I get all of that.
- 27:02Speaker 7: Tulsa's not a directional school?
- 27:03Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much.
- 27:04Speaker 7: They're a destination school.
- 27:05Speaker 14: Tulsa.
- 27:06Speaker 7: Tulsa time.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Next week.
- 27:09Speaker 6: Yes.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Next week.
- 27:11Speaker 7: We'll be talking about me picking eight games in your
- 27:15Speaker 7: contest correctly.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Well, we'll see how that works out.
- 27:19Speaker 7: And then the week after that, ten, a perfect week.
- 27:22Speaker 7: Because when you go from four to six.
- 27:24Speaker 1: You know, they're catching LSU.
- 27:25Speaker 7: When you go from four to six and then six
- 27:27Speaker 7: to eight this week, it's all wine and roses from
- 27:31Speaker 7: here on out, Chip.
- 27:33Speaker 1: All right, Scottsland did it with us. I want to

- 31:09Speaker 13: In other words.
- 31:13Speaker 8: I love you.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Mallory is brought to us by Southwest Card World. And Mallory,
- 31:22Speaker 1: you knew this was going to happen. Dolly Parton, fittingly,
- 31:26Speaker 1: will be memorialized by the Country Music Association. The organization
- 31:32Speaker 1: announced Wednesday that a two-hour special, CMA Presents I Will
- 31:38Speaker 1: Always Love You, a celebration of Dolly Parton, will air
- 31:41Speaker 1: next month on ABC. Streaming on Disney Plus and Hulu.
- 31:46Speaker 1: No details about performers yet, although fans can sign up
- 31:52Speaker 1: to receive information when available. I doubt there'll be any
- 31:55Speaker 1: tickets available. The event will be filmed live at Belmont
- 32:01Speaker 1: University's Fisher Center for the Performing Arts. Really? It's in Nashville.
- 32:06Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 32:07Speaker 1: You're not Mallory.
- 32:08Speaker 9: You're confused again, I think. Just stepping in again. Just
- 32:14Speaker 9: stepping in.
- 32:15Speaker 1: I need to pay closer attention to my own show.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Lizzie is here filling in for Mallory. Always delightful. The
- 32:23Speaker 1: specifics weren't given. The special was described as joyful, emotional
- 32:30Speaker 1: celebration of the artist, songwriter, entertainer, humanitarian, entrepreneur. Whose music
- 32:35Speaker 1: and generosity carried her for the mountains of Tennessee into
- 32:39Speaker 1: the hearts of... You know, there's a lot of people
- 32:41Speaker 1: jumping on the capitalize on Dolly's death bandwagon.
- 32:44Speaker 3: They sure are.
- 32:45Speaker 1: A lot of them. There were so many shows. How
- 32:48Speaker 1: happy would she be about that? You know, it depends
- 32:50Speaker 1: where the money goes. And my guess is the money
- 32:53Speaker 1: is going into the pockets of these people. But I
- 32:55Speaker 1: don't know that.
- 32:56Speaker 9: We don't know.
- 32:57Speaker 1: We don't know that. It's purely speculation. It's kind of weird. Weird.
- 33:04Speaker 1: I think Belmont University is hosting. Maybe not. You'd think
- 33:11Speaker 1: that something like this would be at the Grand Ole
- 33:14Speaker 1: Opry or at the Ryman. Yeah. Or at the big
- 33:18Speaker 1: downtown arena in Nashville where, you know, I went to
- 33:22Speaker 1: see Willie's big birthday celebration. Because you're a huge fan.
- 33:27Speaker 1: There'll be fewer people here. It'll be more intimate.
- 33:31Speaker 9: Yeah. And maybe that's the point.
- 33:33Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 33:33Speaker 15: I mean.
- 33:34Speaker 9: Or like I said, let's use the word exclusive.
- 33:37Speaker 1: It didn't. It just says next month will air next month.
- 33:42Speaker 9: Now, maybe it's by invitation only.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Oh, sure. But for all I know, could already been recorded.
- 33:48Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I mean, that's you know what I'm saying? It just
- 33:51Speaker 1: says fans can sign up to receive information when it's available.
- 33:58Speaker 1: That doesn't mean get tickets.
- 33:59Speaker 9: Is it going to be like you pay to watch,
- 34:01Speaker 9: pay to stream?
- 34:02Speaker 1: No, it's on ABC.
- 34:03Speaker 7: Oh, okay.
- 34:03Speaker 1: No, it's on ABC. They'll sell lots of ads. They'll
- 34:07Speaker 1: make lots of money.
- 34:08Speaker 6: Well, yeah.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Like I said, hey, I'll probably watch it, and they
- 34:12Speaker 1: know everybody will watch it, but a lot of people capitalizing.
- 34:16Speaker 1: They weren't capitalizing when she was alive, I might add.
- 34:19Speaker 9: Well, but she also had the corner on that.
- 34:23Speaker 1: She did. I mean, she would care.
- 34:26Speaker 13: Yeesh.
- 34:27Speaker 1: All right, what's going on? Oh, the good news is
- 34:33Speaker 1: Mallory here is an expert on Dancing with the Stars
- 34:36Speaker 1: because she watches one of the few shows that Mallory
- 34:41Speaker 1: watches and can contribute is Dancing with the Stars. And
- 34:44Speaker 1: you were telling me what a huge DWTS fan you are.
- 34:50Speaker 9: You know the acronym? I'm impressed.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Thank you. They don't give these jobs to chimps.
- 34:56Speaker 9: Okay. Yeah, so the season 35 premiere.
- 35:01Speaker 1: And I missed it last night. I just flat missed it.
- 35:04Speaker 1: And I wanted to see Giada dance. I bet there's
- 35:07Speaker 1: a place I can go online.
- 35:08Speaker 9: I bet you can.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Oh, that's the oddest. She can act.
- 35:12Speaker 15: Yes.
- 35:12Speaker 9: I will go and I will watch it on the
- 35:14Speaker 9: social medias.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 35:15Speaker 9: So they do a lot of good clips.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I haven't seen any of that yet.
- 35:19Speaker 9: And I guarantee you they still make money off of it.
- 35:21Speaker 1: They've already kicked people off, by the way, I think.
- 35:23Speaker 7: What?
- 35:23Speaker 1: Yeah, they've already kicked a couple off.
- 35:25Speaker 9: Hold on.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure they've kicked somebody out first night. It's
- 35:29Speaker 1: like they're not messing around. There's like a million of
- 35:32Speaker 1: them dancing. I mean, come on.
- 35:35Speaker 9: Well, you want to see Giada, but I want to
- 35:37Speaker 9: see Julia Stiles.
- 35:39Speaker 1: What's she going to do?
- 35:40Speaker 9: Well, she's an excellent dancer. There was a big joke
- 35:43Speaker 9: online about it.
- 35:45Speaker 13: Okay.
- 35:45Speaker 9: So she, in one of her movies, was playing a
- 35:48Speaker 9: role where she was trying to get into Save the
- 35:50Speaker 9: Last Dance.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Okay.
- 35:52Speaker 9: And she's trying to get into Juilliard. Life circumstances prevented that.
- 35:56Speaker 9: And spoiler alert, she ends up getting into it later
- 35:59Speaker 9: because she learned so much throughout the movie.
- 36:02Speaker 5: Right.
- 36:03Speaker 9: So fans of the movie were making jokes about that. Well,
- 36:05Speaker 9: she's going to do great because she went to Juilliard
- 36:08Speaker 9: and then Juilliard came back. She never.
- 36:09Speaker 1: No, she didn't.
- 36:11Speaker 9: I don't think they got the joke. Um, but they're
- 36:13Speaker 9: very serious about their, their education, I guess. Uh, but
- 36:17Speaker 9: it was, it was very funny, but she's been very
- 36:19Speaker 9: actively trying to promote the show and working with her partner. And, um,
- 36:25Speaker 9: she even started a, a new social media account.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Really?
- 36:29Speaker 1: So who get, who got kicked off? I got to
- 36:31Speaker 1: know who got kicked off. I, I, I, I, you know,
- 36:35Speaker 1: I didn't watch it. I missed it. I'm hoping she
- 36:38Speaker 1: oughta didn't get kicked off. Um, um, I, I'm sure
- 36:41Speaker 1: Giada didn't kick off. Look, this is like any other
- 36:45Speaker 1: scripted reality show. They're going to save people that they
- 36:49Speaker 1: think are going to bring eyeballs to this, right? Yeah.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Apparently this is, can people call in and vote on
- 36:56Speaker 1: this too? Like they do the voice?
- 36:58Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm pretty.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they do. I think they do.
- 37:00Speaker 9: Yes, they do. Okay, so it said that Connor Leavitt
- 37:03Speaker 9: and Adele Zegna.
- 37:04Speaker 13: Oh, no.
- 37:05Speaker 9: Yeah, they were the people who made it in week one.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Not Connor Leavitt.
- 37:08Speaker 9: Yes, and Leavitt said, this has been the most fun.
- 37:11Speaker 9: I have the greatest dance partner in the world.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you were there about two minutes, Connor. Yeah.
- 37:16Speaker 9: Well, you know. They prepare, they prepare.
- 37:19Speaker 1: You know, Tom Cruise has a movie coming out.
- 37:21Speaker 9: Yes.
- 37:21Speaker 1: I know you knew that because you can't turn on
- 37:24Speaker 1: anything without seeing it. It's called Digger.
- 37:26Speaker 9: Yeah. That one's nuts.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Yes.
- 37:29Speaker 15: Correct.
- 37:29Speaker 9: Everybody says this is his bid to go for an Oscar.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:33Speaker 9: Because they said if you ugly yourself up, you get
- 37:37Speaker 9: an Oscar.
- 37:38Speaker 1: So he posed for GQ.
- 37:40Speaker 9: I saw that.
- 37:41Speaker 5: Right?
- 37:42Speaker 9: Mixed reviews.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Showing off his abs at 64. It's impressive. He has
- 37:47Speaker 1: largely avoided long-form interviews for over a decade, but sat
- 37:55Speaker 1: for two conversations with GQ, was on the cover. He
- 38:00Speaker 1: wants this movie, you're right, to succeed. Cruz wears vintage
- 38:04Speaker 1: Levi's with a button-down shirt from Vintage Warriors, which is
- 38:09Speaker 1: unbuttoned to reveal his chest and abs. GQ asked Cruz
- 38:15Speaker 1: why it's taken so long for him to sit down
- 38:17Speaker 1: for a proper magazine interview.
- 38:19Speaker 9: And what did he say?
- 38:20Speaker 1: I've been very busy. Well, when people see a movie,
- 38:23Speaker 1: you want it to look easy. And there are things
- 38:26Speaker 1: I want other artists to know. People ask me, what
- 38:29Speaker 1: do you do? Cruz indicated he has been more focused
- 38:34Speaker 1: on actually making movies than talking about them. I haven't
- 38:38Speaker 1: had the time with the amount of things that I
- 38:40Speaker 1: set in motion, decided I was going to do. And
- 38:42Speaker 1: looking back on those things, I felt it worked. I
- 38:45Speaker 1: went for competence. I went for skill for whatever that
- 38:49Speaker 1: level was of learning something and being able to go, oh,
- 38:53Speaker 1: this is what I need to focus on. So we'll see.
- 38:59Speaker 1: I tell you, the trailers are very intriguing. No, I
- 39:03Speaker 1: absolutely watched it. If you haven't seen it, I mean,
- 39:07Speaker 1: there's about a two-and-a-half-minute-long version out there on the social media.
- 39:11Speaker 9: Yeah, I have seen it.
- 39:12Speaker 1: You should be able to catch that on the interweb.
- 39:14Speaker 9: It's engaging.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Yes, it sucks you in. It's a different kind of character.
- 39:19Speaker 9: You know, and I think it speaks to he does
- 39:21Speaker 9: have some talent in this regard. There's a character he played.
- 39:24Speaker 10: In another movie.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Look, I don't like Tom Cruise. I've never liked Tom Cruise,
- 39:27Speaker 1: but but I got to say he makes, he makes
- 39:30Speaker 1: entertaining movies. He does.
- 39:32Speaker 9: I mean, for real.
- 39:33Speaker 1: And now he was at, so he's everywhere now trying
- 39:36Speaker 1: to get this promotion done.
- 39:38Speaker 10: Right. Yep.
- 39:38Speaker 1: He's at Monday night football seating, sitting with T Swift
- 39:42Speaker 1: Monday night.
- 39:43Speaker 8: Really?
- 39:43Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 39:44Speaker 1: He's in the box with T Swift. Pat McAfee. The
- 39:48Speaker 1: ESPN talking head joined them in Travis Kelsey's family suite.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Says he's never been as nervous in his life. I
- 40:00Speaker 1: potentially talked to Tom Cruise last night, he said on
- 40:04Speaker 1: his show yesterday. I got a chance to chit chat
- 40:08Speaker 1: with Miss Taylor Swift. Huge day. I tell you, I
- 40:12Speaker 1: was dripping in sweat. Not because he was nervous, but
- 40:15Speaker 1: because it was 95 degrees. He said by the time
- 40:19Speaker 1: he walked up to the Kelsey suite, he was soaked. Naturally,
- 40:24Speaker 1: the first people he bumped into was the 14-time Grammy
- 40:30Speaker 1: winner and her mother-in-law. Legend, how are you, McAfee greeted
- 40:36Speaker 1: Donna Kelsey. But before he could say hello... To Swift,
- 40:42Speaker 1: she gave him a big sweaty hug.
- 40:46Speaker 9: Does that mean that he was the only sweaty person?
- 40:49Speaker 1: Probably.
- 40:51Speaker 9: We all know Taylor Swift doesn't sweat.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Well, she does not.
- 40:53Speaker 9: She would never.
- 40:54Speaker 1: I mean, she's calm and cool.
- 40:56Speaker 9: And collected.
- 40:58Speaker 1: And you've got to know in that suite, they have
- 41:02Speaker 1: some AC somewhere. I mean, it's kind of open air,
- 41:05Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying? But that doesn't prevent air conditioning.
- 41:08Speaker 9: Yeah, absolutely.
- 41:10Speaker 1: I mean, Taylor would not be seen there sweating in
- 41:14Speaker 1: that suite.
- 41:15Speaker 9: No.
- 41:15Speaker 1: I promise you. They've got fans below. They've got AC
- 41:19Speaker 1: in there. Right?
- 41:21Speaker 9: It's outfitted for sure.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 41:24Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Okay. What do you got?
- 41:26Speaker 9: Next, I got Prince Harry.
- 41:28Speaker 11: Oh.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:29Speaker 9: Again, Prince Harry's on different paths of reconciliation with Prince
- 41:34Speaker 9: William and King Charles, but the British monarch and his
- 41:36Speaker 9: heirs are on the same page when it comes to
- 41:39Speaker 9: one thing.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 41:40Speaker 9: That just one week after they're announcing their plans to
- 41:43Speaker 9: establish a non-royal base.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 41:47Speaker 9: Let's see.
- 41:48Speaker 1: They're there.
- 41:49Speaker 9: Yeah, they are.
- 41:49Speaker 1: They've already pulled their kids out of one school.
- 41:52Speaker 9: And he's, wow, yeah. So he has been in contact.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Can you imagine dealing with her? If you're like a
- 42:00Speaker 1: school person, can you imagine having to deal with her?
- 42:04Speaker 1: I mean, I could not.
- 42:07Speaker 9: I'm sure she's a pretty particular person.
- 42:09Speaker 1: That's a good way to put it.
- 42:10Speaker 9: Yeah, she's, yeah. So it says tensions between Harry and
- 42:16Speaker 9: Prince William remain strained with no direct communication.
- 42:19Speaker 1: I hate that.
- 42:20Speaker 9: But he did meet with the king and queen consort
- 42:23Speaker 9: in July at Highgrove. So they are, apparently there is
- 42:27Speaker 9: some communication, but.
- 42:29Speaker 1: It's still pretty estranged. I hate that.
- 42:31Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 42:33Speaker 1: He's probably not happy that they're getting married. Probably more
- 42:36Speaker 1: pub than he is right now by being back in
- 42:39Speaker 1: the area.
- 42:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:44Speaker 1: I hate this news. But, you know, when we do news,
- 42:47Speaker 1: it can't all be happy. Amanda Seyfried. Is it Seyfried
- 42:52Speaker 1: or Seyfried? I never know.
- 42:53Speaker 9: It's been said both ways, but I say Seyfried.
- 42:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 42:56Speaker 1: She and Thomas have confirmed they're separating. They're splitting up?
- 43:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:01Speaker 11: Oh.
- 43:01Speaker 1: We thought it was going to last forever. We've been
- 43:04Speaker 1: separated for a while, she tells people, and it's proven
- 43:07Speaker 1: to be the right move for us and our family unit.
- 43:12Speaker 1: We've got each other forever. Well, no, you don't. USA
- 43:17Speaker 1: reached out to Seyfried and Sadowski's reps for comment. The
- 43:22Speaker 1: dropout actress and the life in pieces actor. Never heard
- 43:28Speaker 1: of either one of these. met in 2015 while starring
- 43:31Speaker 1: together in the off-Broadway play The Way We Get By.
- 43:35Speaker 1: They later co-starred in the comedy film The Last Word,
- 43:40Speaker 1: never seen it, where they played love interest and turned
- 43:44Speaker 1: their on-screen chemistry into a real-world relationship. On The Late
- 43:51Speaker 1: Late Show with James Corden in March of 2017, Sadowski
- 43:54Speaker 1: revealed they had eloped And one week later, Safe Reads
- 44:00Speaker 1: publicist confirmed to USA Today they had welcomed their first child, Nina.
- 44:08Speaker 1: They welcomed a second child six years ago. Okay.
- 44:15Speaker 9: A lot can happen in six years.
- 44:18Speaker 1: I just thought it was going to last forever.
- 44:21Speaker 9: I don't know. I'm a skeptic.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Kind of sad, but really?
- 44:24Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm usually a skeptic, especially if they meet on
- 44:27Speaker 9: set somewhere.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Not a romantic, but a skeptic.
- 44:32Speaker 9: I guess.
- 44:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 44:33Speaker 9: I can't help myself.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but this is Hollywood. Everything ends well in Hollywood.
- 44:37Speaker 9: Yeah, nothing ever goes right.
- 44:39Speaker 1: What could go wrong with these people's lives?
- 44:42Speaker 10: Exactly.
- 44:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 44:44Speaker 1: It's a perfect little community.
- 44:46Speaker 9: And everybody's so kind. Perfect little community.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Yes, they are. I wish I was there now.
- 44:53Speaker 9: Do you want to hear about American Idol?
- 44:55Speaker 1: Of course I do. Duh.
- 44:57Speaker 9: So apparently contestants that are hoping to make it to
- 45:01Speaker 9: Hollywood maybe won't ever get there. They're moving.
- 45:04Speaker 11: What?
- 45:05Speaker 9: So they're relocating from California to Georgia.
- 45:08Speaker 1: You know why?
- 45:10Speaker 9: It's said that they never said why.
- 45:13Speaker 1: I'll tell you why.
- 45:14Speaker 9: You tell me why.
- 45:15Speaker 1: We were just talking about Hollywood.
- 45:17Speaker 9: Because Hollywood is such a great place to be.
- 45:19Speaker 1: They're all crazy, and the taxes are outrageous. I'm sure
- 45:23Speaker 1: that probably has something to do with it. They cannot
- 45:25Speaker 1: make a living anymore.
- 45:27Speaker 9: You know, Georgia, especially the Atlanta area, really is up
- 45:30Speaker 9: and coming in terms of a lot of different things.
- 45:33Speaker 1: Well, it's always been music. Yeah, and that's.
- 45:35Speaker 9: Very relevant to this. So it makes sense. So let's see.
- 45:39Speaker 9: They announced it yesterday, but the show has been in
- 45:43Speaker 9: Hollywood at the Red Studios for over two decades.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Holy moly.
- 45:47Speaker 9: So they'll be back.
- 45:48Speaker 1: I'm telling you, people are moving out of California. Unfortunately,
- 45:53Speaker 1: a lot of them are moving here to Texas.
- 45:55Speaker 9: They are moving to Texas.
- 45:57Speaker 1: And it's too crowded, and I wish they would go away.
- 46:00Speaker 1: But there's nothing I can do about that.
- 46:02Speaker 9: Yeah. And unfortunately, I think it has an effect on
- 46:05Speaker 9: housing as well, which is, you.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Know, already an issue. Well, there, you know, you're paying
- 46:11Speaker 1: a million dollars for two rooms.
- 46:12Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 46:13Speaker 1: And most people don't have that. Even even some of
- 46:16Speaker 1: the entertainment type people. Not everybody has Taylor Swift money.
- 46:20Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 46:20Speaker 9: No, not everybody. Almost nobody. Let's be real. Almost nobody
- 46:24Speaker 9: has T-Swift money.
- 46:25Speaker 1: True. So they're going to Atlanta.
- 46:27Speaker 9: They're going to Atlanta. And it says they're they're already,
- 46:31Speaker 9: I believe. Yeah. The auditions began August 25th and they
- 46:34Speaker 9: will end September 28th.
- 46:36Speaker 1: So I still have time. You beat me to it.
- 46:41Speaker 9: Got you.
- 46:41Speaker 1: What would you sing?
- 46:43Speaker 9: Oh, I don't know. Something melodic. I don't know. Something like.
- 46:48Speaker 4: Come on.
- 46:49Speaker 1: What would you sing?
- 46:52Speaker 9: I'm trying to think of an artist. Maybe Adele.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Oh, that'd be hard.
- 46:55Speaker 9: I know it would. But if you're going to do it,
- 46:57Speaker 9: do it right.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Well, you're right.
- 46:58Speaker 9: I mean, go for it. You have to establish yourself
- 47:02Speaker 9: early on that show.
- 47:03Speaker 1: Might do Luke and Bach Texas.
- 47:05Speaker 9: I could hear you doing that.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Thank you. You know, I'm going to get my
- 47:10Speaker 1: people on that. Because we still have, we have about
- 47:13Speaker 1: two weeks left.
- 47:13Speaker 9: You have two weeks and then the show premieres in January,
- 47:16Speaker 9: but they don't have a premiere date yet.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Okay.
- 47:19Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 47:20Speaker 1: I'll be free.
- 47:21Speaker 9: Be okay. You'll be real free soon. If you go
- 47:26Speaker 9: and you get picked, you think they're going to keep
- 47:28Speaker 9: you around here? No, they will keep you around here
- 47:30Speaker 9: because you'll be even more famous than you already are.
- 47:32Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 47:32Speaker 1: I mean, it's a no-brainer for me.
- 47:34Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 47:35Speaker 1: I'm going to talk to my agent about that.
- 47:36Speaker 9: You let me know how it goes.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Tara Banks... Who's been known to... Ruffles and feathers? Yeah.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Good way to put it. She is fighting for hours
- 47:49Speaker 1: of unaired footage shot for the America's Top Next Model
- 47:54Speaker 1: Show documentary. Producers scoffed at the supermodel's request. TMZ says,
- 48:03Speaker 1: according to the court docs, Netflix and the documentary producers...
- 48:08Speaker 1: are opposing Tara's attempt to get her hands on the
- 48:12Speaker 1: unaired raw footage of her former friends, Miss J and
- 48:17Speaker 1: J Manuel. They didn't end up in the doc. Tara
- 48:21Speaker 1: believes the footage could help prove her claim she was
- 48:24Speaker 1: defamed due to producers selectively editing the interviews. The producers
- 48:31Speaker 1: argued Tara has no right to raw interview footage of
- 48:36Speaker 1: All internal communications about Tara, all draft scripts, all story notes,
- 48:43Speaker 1: and deposition testimony of filmmakers, editors, and others involved in
- 48:47Speaker 1: producing or reviewing the documentary Netflix's issues with Tara wanting
- 48:51Speaker 1: her internal viewership data. They insist none of these items
- 48:56Speaker 1: are the type of targeted discovery allowed to prove her claims,
- 48:59Speaker 1: insisting her requests are way too broad, particularly at this
- 49:03Speaker 1: early stage in litigation. Hmm. I'd like to be Tyra's lawyer.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I think I could retire after being about two years
- 49:10Speaker 1: on retainer with her. Only if she wins.
- 49:13Speaker 14: Well, no.
- 49:13Speaker 9: Oh, no, on retainer.
- 49:14Speaker 1: Well, but she wouldn't get paid. I mean, she wouldn't pay.
- 49:17Speaker 1: I'd have to have it. Cash cash money up front.
- 49:19Speaker 9: Maybe you just work on the team.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Either in gold. No, I don't want to be on
- 49:23Speaker 1: the team. I'm going to be, no, I want the
- 49:25Speaker 1: whole thing.
- 49:26Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I want all of them.
- 49:28Speaker 6: Okay.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to work on that too. I got
- 49:31Speaker 1: a lot to, I'm going.
- 49:31Speaker 9: To talk to my agent when we're done here.
- 49:33Speaker 1: I'm going to call my agent when we're done.
- 49:37Speaker 9: Okay. So I have some news about Charlie XCX.
- 49:40Speaker 10: Oh.
- 49:41Speaker 9: Baring it all.
- 49:42Speaker 1: No way.

- 56:09Speaker 12: is set for 7-0-5 tonight, coverage on the Rangers Sports Network.
