- 0:04Speaker 2: Say Hester and Hester got it futa fa.
- 0:07Speaker 1: From carrying each other to a natty to carrying each
- 0:11Speaker 1: other on.
- 0:11Speaker 3: The air well.
- 0:12Speaker 4: It's prop control the.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Kine studio.
- 0:19Speaker 4: It's off the bench, all right, welcome back in our
- 0:46Speaker 4: number three of O t B here on this Tuesday morning,
- 0:50Speaker 4: Tuesday morning at nine am. That means we're gonna catch
- 0:53Speaker 4: up with our guy Nick Underhill, New Orleans dot Football. Now, Nicholas,
- 0:58Speaker 4: what is up, sir? How are we doing doing?
- 1:00Speaker 5: Get what's going on?
- 1:01Speaker 6: Guys?
- 1:02Speaker 4: You know, not too much, just you know, hanging out.
- 1:04Speaker 4: And Flint's tried the same joke about seven times on
- 1:07Speaker 4: the show. It hasn't hit yet, So typical Tuesday morning
- 1:10Speaker 4: here on OTV. How about you, sir, How's how's life?
- 1:14Speaker 4: I mean, you got the draft coming up, and I'm
- 1:16Speaker 4: sure you're trying to, you know, swim through all the
- 1:19Speaker 4: different rumors to see which one's true.
- 1:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Like, I'm excited that we're, what ten days away from
- 1:25Speaker 3: actually having someone to talk about instead of just theorizing
- 1:28Speaker 3: about different guys. And you started talking to yourself and
- 1:31Speaker 3: the guys that you didn't like and start talking to
- 1:33Speaker 3: yourself out of guys that you did, Like this is
- 1:35Speaker 3: kind of like you're staring at the same puzzle for
- 1:37Speaker 3: too long and you start questioning how the pieces go together.
- 1:40Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean it's interesting because I think this
- 1:43Speaker 3: is when you start to get a little bit more
- 1:44Speaker 3: clarity if you know how to swim through the muck.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Like right, there's a lot of bs out there, and
- 1:51Speaker 3: you know the truth starts coming out a little bit
- 1:54Speaker 3: right now too. So yeah, I think the picture is
- 1:56Speaker 3: actually starting to clear up a little bit. But I'm
- 1:58Speaker 3: ready to just kind of hey, like, how does so
- 2:01Speaker 3: and so fit on the team instead of like how
- 2:03Speaker 3: might sow and so fit on this team?
- 2:05Speaker 4: Is there like anything that you're hearing as far as
- 2:07Speaker 4: like offense defense, because, like we talked about a couple
- 2:10Speaker 4: of weeks ago, I think the Saints are in a
- 2:12Speaker 4: really good position to get a really good player. I
- 2:15Speaker 4: think it's going to be four players available once we
- 2:18Speaker 4: start at number six in the Cleveland Browns, and one
- 2:21Speaker 4: of those players is going to find its way to
- 2:23Speaker 4: the Saints. But are you hearing like any side of
- 2:25Speaker 4: the ball maybe is kind of winning out in some
- 2:28Speaker 4: of those conversations.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I think offensively, you're the guy that
- 2:33Speaker 3: you might get at that spot might be more of
- 2:36Speaker 3: a traditional top ten type looking pick, you know, as
- 2:39Speaker 3: far as cause it's a weaker draft, Like we've talked
- 2:42Speaker 3: about that a bunch of times. Like there's a lot
- 2:44Speaker 3: of guys here that I think are great at fifteen
- 2:46Speaker 3: but usually aren't. Hey, this guy looks like a top
- 2:49Speaker 3: ten pick, and even those guys become problematic, right, I mean,
- 2:53Speaker 3: like Jordan Tyson, I think he's probably the easiest guy
- 2:57Speaker 3: in the top ten to watch, where you watch him
- 2:58Speaker 3: and you're like, oh my god, this guy is unbelievable.
- 3:01Speaker 3: This is Odell Beckham in the air, he glides, he flies,
- 3:04Speaker 3: and then well, the hamstrings and you know there's weird
- 3:08Speaker 3: whispers about the competitiveness and you know, all that stuff
- 3:11Speaker 3: was out there about TMAC last year too, and it
- 3:14Speaker 3: ended up not being an issue. The hamstring is something
- 3:17Speaker 3: you really got to have an answer for, though. Yeah,
- 3:19Speaker 3: you know, in the Saints, if I'm burned by that
- 3:21Speaker 3: type of player before Marcus Stavenport incredibly talented. The scouting
- 3:25Speaker 3: of the player was absolutely one hundred percent right. The
- 3:29Speaker 3: evaluation of the off Field wasn't in that burned him then,
- 3:33Speaker 3: But with Lottimore it was, you know, the hamstring issue
- 3:35Speaker 3: and they decided it wasn't an issue and that ended
- 3:37Speaker 3: up paying off. So if you go that direction, you
- 3:40Speaker 3: just got to make sure you're right, you know. But
- 3:42Speaker 3: for me, like trying to clarify, I think you you
- 3:46Speaker 3: stop listening to what people.
- 3:47Speaker 5: Say, and you know, for the.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Last fifteen years, I've been trying to decipher what they
- 3:55Speaker 3: do and we usually get pretty close to it, and
- 3:58Speaker 3: you know, you can kind of just read the patterns
- 4:00Speaker 3: a little bit. And everything I'm seeing right now in
- 4:05Speaker 3: terms of what they're doing and how they're operating and
- 4:07Speaker 3: what they're saying and what they're not saying, and who
- 4:09Speaker 3: they're signing and who they're not signing and who they're
- 4:11Speaker 3: extending and who they're not extending, tells me very very
- 4:15Speaker 3: much that running back is in play.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Yeah, and that is that in the like or is
- 4:24Speaker 4: that eight third round or eight eight? Eight?
- 4:26Speaker 3: I think I think I think at eight like, I'm
- 4:29Speaker 3: looking for to eight.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm looking for to eight.
- 4:31Speaker 3: I mean my understanding that Alvin thing is that they're
- 4:34Speaker 3: waiting till after the draft to make a decision on
- 4:36Speaker 3: right what they're gonna tell him they're gonna do, Like
- 4:39Speaker 3: they haven't even told him what they're gonna do, So
- 4:42Speaker 3: that to me says anything's in play at that position.
- 4:46Speaker 5: And I don't think you put.
- 4:47Speaker 3: That thing on pause and you play it the way
- 4:50Speaker 3: you're playing it. If eight isn't in play at running back,
- 4:54Speaker 3: that tells me that they must have a really high
- 4:57Speaker 3: grade grade on Jeremiah Love and they're open.
- 4:59Speaker 5: To the po pssibility, Like that's what that tells. That's
- 5:01Speaker 5: how I read it.
- 5:02Speaker 7: What's your gut tell you? Do you think you'll be available?
- 5:04Speaker 7: Are you like, are you trying to try trying to
- 5:07Speaker 7: say they might try to go up.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I don't think they go up for him, but I
- 5:11Speaker 3: think if he's there, they they they'd absolutely draft him.
- 5:14Speaker 3: But here's where I think things stam with Alvin. I
- 5:16Speaker 3: think they're waiting till after the draft, and if they draft.
- 5:20Speaker 5: Somebody that they feel can can you know, take.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Over that depth chart, even even with the sign of
- 5:26Speaker 3: a chan, I think they'd move on from them. And
- 5:29Speaker 3: if they don't, I think you go to them then
- 5:31Speaker 3: and you say, hey, like you're coming back with it,
- 5:33Speaker 3: but it's going to be at this price, are you
- 5:35Speaker 3: willing to do that? And you know, I don't think
- 5:37Speaker 3: that there's gonna be much. It's gonna be like the
- 5:39Speaker 3: camp thing, like here's the number and you can come
- 5:41Speaker 3: back or you can't, and that's up to you. But
- 5:44Speaker 3: you know, a guy like that that's been around for
- 5:46Speaker 3: so long playing it the way they are just kind
- 5:48Speaker 3: of with the uncertainty of it. It's just you know,
- 5:51Speaker 3: you could you could talk yourself into a million things,
- 5:53Speaker 3: and they can say a million things, but like we've
- 5:55Speaker 3: all been around this game long enough, Like people say
- 5:57Speaker 3: stuff and then they do stuff, and you got to
- 5:59Speaker 3: pay attention to what they're doing and what they're doing.
- 6:01Speaker 3: I mean, it seems crystal clear to me, like that
- 6:04Speaker 3: is a definite possibility if he's there, And you know,
- 6:08Speaker 3: I think a lot of people think he is the
- 6:09Speaker 3: best player in this draft. You know, it's a positional
- 6:13Speaker 3: value argument, but I mean that's a whole different thing.
- 6:16Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean I just can't interpret their actions
- 6:19Speaker 3: any other way.
- 6:22Speaker 4: I don't. I don't think he'll be there either, But
- 6:25Speaker 4: it feels like the player that's going to be there
- 6:27Speaker 4: with the most value is going to be on the
- 6:29Speaker 4: defensive side of the football. Now you could take like
- 6:31Speaker 4: Tyson is an option and if he didn't have the
- 6:33Speaker 4: soft tissue stuff, then I would be like, absolutely go
- 6:36Speaker 4: sign off on that one. That scares me a little
- 6:39Speaker 4: bit because of the team that we're talking about and
- 6:41Speaker 4: how much they can barn like like you said there,
- 6:44Speaker 4: but yeah, Jeremiah Love, look, I mean he's incredibly talented.
- 6:47Speaker 4: You got a chan there, But still like you would
- 6:49Speaker 4: look to add a player like that, What about let's
- 6:52Speaker 4: flip it to the other side of the football, like
- 6:54Speaker 4: defensive player if they had their choice of defensive guy.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Because honestly, like tooth through eight, we don't know how
- 7:01Speaker 4: it's going to play out, Like we think we got
- 7:03Speaker 4: an idea. But David Bailey could fall, all Reel Reese
- 7:05Speaker 4: could fall, Sonny Styles, Caleb Downs, all these guys could
- 7:09Speaker 4: fall a little bit. But of the guys that are
- 7:11Speaker 4: in that conversation, which one would the Saints immediately turn
- 7:15Speaker 4: in their card on the defensive side if he fail
- 7:17Speaker 4: to them?
- 7:19Speaker 5: I still think it'd be Downs.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Yeah, And I think that that top eight is like
- 7:23Speaker 3: Muaga all of a sudden in the you know, the
- 7:25Speaker 3: twenty fifth hour or whatever, twenty I don't know what
- 7:27Speaker 3: the phrase is. What was that Ed Norton movie the
- 7:29Speaker 3: twenty fifth Hour, like in the twenty fifth Hours, like
- 7:31Speaker 3: coming out that that you know, the he has the
- 7:34Speaker 3: back injury and it might need surgery at some point.
- 7:36Speaker 3: And is that a real thing or is it someone
- 7:38Speaker 3: trying to make them fall? Like I've heard from other
- 7:40Speaker 3: teams that he has a back thing. So I think
- 7:43Speaker 3: it's a real thing. I don't know if it's like
- 7:44Speaker 3: overstated or not, but that could affect him, Like you know,
- 7:47Speaker 3: if he sides out, does somebody else go up and not?
- 7:50Speaker 5: Does your picture change at eight? So like that?
- 7:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean all you need is a couple of
- 7:54Speaker 3: unexpected things and anything could happen, you know. I think
- 7:58Speaker 3: it would be Downs Bailey for sure, Like Bailey Bailey
- 8:01Speaker 3: is the most Saints player of all time, high upside,
- 8:06Speaker 3: high high athleticism. H questions about the actual production, like yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 3: that that's that's the guy they draft.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Every single time. I think they definitely take him.
- 8:16Speaker 3: I know they like Gruben Bang quite a bit, you know,
- 8:18Speaker 3: I think defensively, I think there would be a strong
- 8:20Speaker 3: push for Caleb Downs. So I think that would be
- 8:22Speaker 3: a guy that that they would really like, I think
- 8:25Speaker 3: he fits what they want to do. You know, I
- 8:28Speaker 3: think the all else Stales auction would be Delayne and
- 8:30Speaker 3: I think they'd be very happy with him. But you'd
- 8:33Speaker 3: have to change your philosophy a little bit to take him.
- 8:36Speaker 5: But yeah, I think I think it'd be down.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Would Down be like Derwin James was for Staley in La.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Yeah, like so that their ideal way to cover the
- 8:45Speaker 3: slot is not like what they want a safety in there.
- 8:47Speaker 3: They want to you know, an overhang player or someone
- 8:49Speaker 3: that can do a lot of different stuff.
- 8:50Speaker 5: Yeah, it would be that's the vision they have for it.
- 8:52Speaker 3: But they're so early in building this thing out that
- 8:55Speaker 3: I don't think it's you know, married, They're like, well,
- 8:57Speaker 3: we got to get this guy to fit so it
- 8:59Speaker 3: doesn't break anything up so early enough in this like
- 9:01Speaker 3: change their their philosophy and how they want to do things.
- 9:04Speaker 5: But ideally I've been told.
- 9:07Speaker 3: That that's a safety type player and less of a corner.
- 9:10Speaker 7: Yeah all right, Nick, I think it's kind of easy
- 9:13Speaker 7: to kind of get so so micro focused on the
- 9:17Speaker 7: eighth pick. Let's look at the whole draft in general.
- 9:20Speaker 7: There's a lot more players that are going to be taken.
- 9:22Speaker 7: Besides just that eighth pick. The Saints go into the
- 9:26Speaker 7: draft with eight picks. I believe let's set the over
- 9:30Speaker 7: under at you it at eight.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Oh under under for sure. Yeah, that's that's easy money, man,
- 9:36Speaker 3: that's easy money.
- 9:37Speaker 6: They're gonna come away with less than eight draft picks.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Uh, always always, yeah, Like, what was the year. I
- 9:43Speaker 3: think it was like twenty it was the COVID year.
- 9:45Speaker 3: They just like traded all their picks to get out
- 9:47Speaker 3: of Day three the draft.
- 9:48Speaker 5: Adam Troutman and everybody just went home early.
- 9:50Speaker 6: But yeah, let's come away more.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Yeah, they never they never make all their picks. I
- 9:57Speaker 3: think that's the easiest. I'll end up being wrong, but
- 10:01Speaker 3: that would be the easiest bet of all time if
- 10:03Speaker 3: I've seen that on FANDL with Ammer the under. Like,
- 10:05Speaker 3: it's just like the odds in the history tell you
- 10:07Speaker 3: that they're gonna want somebody, and they're gonna target somebody,
- 10:10Speaker 3: and they're gonna go get them.
- 10:12Speaker 5: It's the least patient group of people in the world.
- 10:14Speaker 7: It's like buying the scratch off, right. The more you buy,
- 10:17Speaker 7: the better chance you got of hitting right. Like, the
- 10:20Speaker 7: odds are low later in the draft pick, but you
- 10:23Speaker 7: just take more guys because somebody is gonna pan out.
- 10:27Speaker 3: My grandma d had the same philosophy on scratch offs,
- 10:30Speaker 3: and she never won.
- 10:32Speaker 6: Okay, let's all right, let's let's look at this.
- 10:35Speaker 7: Let's just say seven players are taking who has the
- 10:38Speaker 7: majority offensive side of the ball or defensive side of
- 10:40Speaker 7: the ball.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I'm gonna say defense because it was it was so
- 10:46Speaker 3: so offensive focused overall, I think. Okay, so if you're
- 10:51Speaker 3: asking me to guess it, I'm laying it out. I'm
- 10:52Speaker 3: making my gamble. I think big spend on offense early
- 10:57Speaker 3: and then filling out on defense the rest of the way.
- 11:00Speaker 3: I kind of kind of more defense on offense, but
- 11:01Speaker 3: I think offensively one of those one of those first two,
- 11:05Speaker 3: and I'd even lean a offense and and after that,
- 11:09Speaker 3: I think it's gonna be a defense heavy, uh heavy draft.
- 11:16Speaker 4: All right?
- 11:16Speaker 6: Take him so mad right now?
- 11:18Speaker 4: No, no, no, that's good. I'm just sitting in I'm thinking
- 11:20Speaker 4: about eleven personnel right now. If the New Orleans Saints
- 11:23Speaker 4: had a game, it would probably be Juwan Johnson and
- 11:27Speaker 4: tide end. It would be a Channon back, it would
- 11:29Speaker 4: be Chris Olave, Devon Veley, and Mason Tipton. Yeah, like,
- 11:35Speaker 4: and I don't love any of the receivers in the
- 11:37Speaker 4: top ten just because Tyson's my favorite, and the injury
- 11:40Speaker 4: stuff just it does it scares me. They have to
- 11:45Speaker 4: get a receiver in the first three picks of this draft, right.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Yeah, I agree with that. Yeah, I agree with you totally.
- 11:52Speaker 5: Like Tyson's my favorite one to watch. Yeah, like easy watch.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Two seconds then yeah, like you can draft that guy
- 11:57Speaker 3: and then if everything else takes the same for pick
- 12:01Speaker 3: if you're if you're not a gambler, a clean look again,
- 12:04Speaker 3: like I'm just reading Tea Leaves here, a clean.
- 12:06Speaker 5: Tyson for the Saints because they always make the risky pick,
- 12:09Speaker 5: like they always go for the hop side. They always
- 12:11Speaker 5: chase it.
- 12:12Speaker 3: And Tate Tate's the you know they're they're Kevin Costner
- 12:16Speaker 3: and cup Man Like they're just gonna keep going for
- 12:18Speaker 3: it and.
- 12:21Speaker 5: That's how they play. Uh so, so yeah, I think
- 12:24Speaker 5: they gotta get one. Though.
- 12:25Speaker 3: You can't go on there with Mason Tips and you
- 12:26Speaker 3: can't gamble with with Gele and Pope, you can't the
- 12:31Speaker 3: guy from Tampa Palmer.
- 12:33Speaker 5: Like, you can't make bets on these guys.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Is there a type of receiver you think, I mean,
- 12:38Speaker 4: is it Dentale Boston type, is it the Zachariah Branch type?
- 12:42Speaker 4: Like what kind of mold of receiver do you think
- 12:44Speaker 4: they'll attack?
- 12:45Speaker 3: I think it'd be Tyson or Tate, Like I like
- 12:48Speaker 3: the fit alement a lot, like personally, but yeah, we're
- 12:51Speaker 3: we're we're off the point of like what I like
- 12:53Speaker 3: and what you know, what I think and what I
- 12:55Speaker 3: what I think I know, Like.
- 12:56Speaker 5: I think those things have diverged a little bit. So
- 12:59Speaker 5: I think I think it'd be Tyson or Take.
- 13:01Speaker 3: And just looking at there, if they're going to day,
- 13:03Speaker 3: if they're going today going to Tyson Take, and their
- 13:06Speaker 3: history just tells me that they're a Tyson team.
- 13:08Speaker 5: Like that's just the way they go.
- 13:09Speaker 3: They they go into you know, Grammat's escort and get
- 13:13Speaker 3: covered in Sir gread ashes and and lottery does because
- 13:16Speaker 3: they're gamblers.
- 13:16Speaker 5: Like that's just kind of what they do.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Oh hell yeah, let's go.
- 13:21Speaker 7: Cretch off all right, Okay, just just going I do
- 13:24Speaker 7: it every week. Obligatory Crisalave question.
- 13:28Speaker 5: Yo, I'm sorry, my sound is like bad right now.
- 13:32Speaker 4: He just basically said, Crys.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Still holding pattern. I think I think, you know, I
- 13:40Speaker 3: think he's excited to see a team that that gets
- 13:42Speaker 3: a weapon too, though, because I think that could.
- 13:44Speaker 5: Make it his life a lot easier.
- 13:45Speaker 3: So yeah, I think, I think kinda, it's just the negotiation. Look,
- 13:50Speaker 3: I bet this thing's done July thirtieth or something like that. Like,
- 13:56Speaker 3: I bet it probably, Like I wouldn't be surprised if
- 13:58Speaker 3: it if it takes a day or two a gap.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Even though I don't think he's that type of guy,
- 14:02Speaker 3: he's got that type of agent. So historically we've seen
- 14:07Speaker 3: these standoffs. That's how they're at the beginning of camp
- 14:09Speaker 3: or it's the first week of September. I guess this
- 14:11Speaker 3: year it's second week of September. That's usually when these
- 14:14Speaker 3: things get done.
- 14:15Speaker 7: They don't need they're not like planning for the worst
- 14:18Speaker 7: to happen with that we're going into this draft, are
- 14:20Speaker 7: they No?
- 14:22Speaker 3: I think actually, I think that there. So there's a
- 14:27Speaker 3: couple of things with Chris, like he had that blood clot.
- 14:29Speaker 3: There's there's two types of blood clots, And without getting
- 14:32Speaker 3: too deep in the woods, there's a good kind and
- 14:34Speaker 3: a bad kind.
- 14:35Speaker 5: The back conds when you don't know what causes it.
- 14:37Speaker 5: The good kind is you know what caused it, and
- 14:40Speaker 5: it can be prevented.
- 14:41Speaker 3: His came back, A couple of doctors looked at it.
- 14:44Speaker 3: It was the good type of blood clots. So I
- 14:46Speaker 3: think that concern is gone. But I think they're playing
- 14:49Speaker 3: right now is to overspend even around Tyler Shuck because
- 14:54Speaker 3: they can, and to go with that approach. And then
- 14:56Speaker 3: I think, you know, when Tyler's getting the second contract,
- 15:00Speaker 3: I think.
- 15:00Speaker 5: You go a little bit cheaper in that position, you know.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I think I think there's probably an idea of you know,
- 15:07Speaker 3: the positional value there is that you can't pay twenty guys,
- 15:10Speaker 3: but I think you pay one and you fill out
- 15:12Speaker 3: around him with you know, take Tyson somebody else and
- 15:16Speaker 3: kind of go about it that way. But yeah, I
- 15:17Speaker 3: think I think everything's good there. There's there's posture for sure.
- 15:22Speaker 3: I mean, like I've heard a couple of things about
- 15:25Speaker 3: you know, there's numbers and everything, but like, I don't
- 15:27Speaker 3: think it's anything abnormal. And I think they're both motivated
- 15:31Speaker 3: to stay together. I think Chris is really happy. I
- 15:35Speaker 3: know he loves playing with Shock, you know. I think
- 15:38Speaker 3: he's he's.
- 15:39Speaker 5: Excited about where they're going.
- 15:40Speaker 3: And I don't know that that was always the case,
- 15:43Speaker 3: but I know that he's definitely in the headspace right now,
- 15:45Speaker 3: So I do expect it to get it done, you know,
- 15:49Speaker 3: and they got they got they got time to get
- 15:50Speaker 3: it done too, Like it doesn't even have to be
- 15:52Speaker 3: you know, right now. So yeah, I think I think
- 15:55Speaker 3: it eventually gets there.
- 15:57Speaker 4: All right, Nick, last one before lets you go catch
- 15:59Speaker 4: number I got Nick Underhill, New Orleans Dot Football. What's
- 16:03Speaker 4: the latest or is there anything with Cam Jordan and
- 16:06Speaker 4: what his future looks like? Uh? Is he going to play?
- 16:10Speaker 4: Is it going to be for the Saints?
- 16:11Speaker 5: Like?
- 16:11Speaker 4: Where do we think that is? Or is it going
- 16:13Speaker 4: to have to be one of those deals that you're
- 16:15Speaker 4: just gonna have to wait until after the draft? Is
- 16:17Speaker 4: maybe see if a guy falls to you.
- 16:20Speaker 5: The offers on the table. It's on the table.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Camps in Japan, enjoying his life, not stressing about it.
- 16:29Speaker 3: But there's there's an offer there they could draft and
- 16:33Speaker 3: actually they could draft two.
- 16:34Speaker 5: Edges and the offer is not going to go away.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Like they're they're keeping the door open, They're keeping the
- 16:38Speaker 3: lights on if Cam wants to come back and can
- 16:41Speaker 3: come back. The thing is if the number was enticing
- 16:44Speaker 3: enough to get them through the door and be done. Like,
- 16:45Speaker 3: I don't think Cam wants to leave either. I think
- 16:48Speaker 3: they just need to find a spot where like he
- 16:52Speaker 3: took a pay cut last year and then earned the
- 16:55Speaker 3: sign ups, and I think he probably feels a type
- 16:57Speaker 3: of way of like, hey, look, I did you guys
- 16:59Speaker 3: have solid last year.
- 17:00Speaker 5: I proved it.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Don't ask him to do the insignis again, like pay
- 17:04Speaker 3: me for what I did. And I think they probably
- 17:06Speaker 3: want to do it like, hey, look it worked last
- 17:09Speaker 3: year and you're gonna be thirty seven.
- 17:11Speaker 5: Uh, let's do it December and you can earn the
- 17:13Speaker 5: up side.
- 17:13Speaker 3: And I think they just gotta find Yeah, I would
- 17:16Speaker 3: bet Camp's asking for like ten million bucks, and I
- 17:18Speaker 3: will bet the Saints forfer and like six seven. And
- 17:21Speaker 3: I think they just got to find a way to
- 17:23Speaker 3: feel good about it. I don't think he's asking for
- 17:25Speaker 3: too much, you know. I think they just gotta gotta
- 17:29Speaker 3: come off their stances a little bit. But I don't
- 17:31Speaker 3: think they're gonna close the door on him. I don't
- 17:34Speaker 3: think they want to see him finish his career anywhere else.
- 17:37Speaker 5: But you know that this is this is Mickey man.
- 17:40Speaker 6: He says the.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Number, and they they they're shrewd, like, they'll grind it
- 17:43Speaker 3: out and they'll wait and look, if he was gonna leave,
- 17:47Speaker 3: he probably would have left. Like so.
- 17:50Speaker 5: It's just like they gotta they gotta just find a
- 17:52Speaker 5: spot like where they can both take a step.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Towards each other, and I think ultimately happens. I don't
- 17:58Speaker 3: think he wants to leave, but I do think that
- 18:01Speaker 3: the number asked to represent a level of respect from
- 18:05Speaker 3: his point of view.
- 18:07Speaker 4: All right, there he is. I got Nick on her Hill,
- 18:08Speaker 4: New Orleans.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Absolutely no sound life coming through, he.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Said, I have absolutely no sound coming through by but.
- 18:25Speaker 8: He made a little sound too.
- 18:28Speaker 6: All right, head little hiccup.
- 18:31Speaker 8: Yeah, I had to take my headphones off because I
- 18:33Speaker 8: was bothering me.
- 18:38Speaker 4: I was just focus on at an elite level now,
- 18:43Speaker 4: the distraction and just concentrate on the words.
- 18:46Speaker 6: Just focus, Halper focus. That's right.

- 21:27Speaker 9: they're done.

- 21:32Speaker 6: did that. It does.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Our logos got yellow, canes has yellow, community still has yellow.
- 21:42Speaker 7: I want to make figure out how to make it
- 21:43Speaker 7: my high yellow situation. What flavor would deal with yellow?
- 21:48Speaker 7: I don't want lemon, lemon lime already got lemon lime.
- 21:56Speaker 10: I think those are the only two that I can
- 21:58Speaker 10: What you can do.
- 22:01Speaker 8: A pineapple work?
- 22:04Speaker 7: Yeah, we can make something up too, just like yellow
- 22:07Speaker 7: apple passion, Foxhole blast.
- 22:11Speaker 8: I like it, foxhole blast flavored like whatever.
- 22:15Speaker 9: Yep, mix all of your flavors together.
- 22:19Speaker 6: Maybe that'll be a caffeine color yellow.
- 22:23Speaker 4: I think it should be. What can you call a
- 22:27Speaker 4: yellow caffeine flavored my.
- 22:29Speaker 6: High buzz.
- 22:32Speaker 4: Buzz, don't hate buzz, Yeah, got bees. I's a lot
- 22:38Speaker 4: of possibilities.
- 22:39Speaker 6: Must do this.
- 22:41Speaker 4: It's really just you, well, I back you up.
- 22:43Speaker 11: I need a watermelon a grape a grape like a
- 22:47Speaker 11: tiger's blood situation, and like my number one request is.
- 22:50Speaker 9: The pickle one.
- 22:52Speaker 7: That's true. It probably just needs to be like a
- 22:53Speaker 7: shot though. Yeah, a lot of people do shoot my packets,
- 22:57Speaker 7: like there's a ton of I just shoot. I don't,
- 22:59Speaker 7: which is not recommended.
- 23:00Speaker 5: But but.
- 23:02Speaker 8: I've thought about doing that before, but I have not yet.
- 23:04Speaker 4: I can stare all I like to take.
- 23:11Speaker 5: In.
- 23:11Speaker 6: Who's say hydrated? I get on that drink behind dot com?
- 23:15Speaker 4: Please?

- 23:20Speaker 7: a lot of m hmm time to launch the new flavors.
- 23:27Speaker 7: Its yeah, trying to hydrate the world.
- 23:29Speaker 4: I get it.
- 23:30Speaker 6: Yeah, we need to do it.
- 23:31Speaker 8: You are hydrating the world.
- 23:34Speaker 6: Maybe need to grow the team.
- 23:37Speaker 4: God m somebody's only been telling you that for like
- 23:40Speaker 4: the entire company existence mm hm.
- 23:44Speaker 6: Takes cash to do that, Bell.
- 23:46Speaker 8: I can't wait for the Fox whole blast.
- 23:48Speaker 6: Cards are themselves cars.
- 23:51Speaker 8: Hey you're gonna hit one days.
- 23:54Speaker 4: He's it, He's it, It's it. And now that he's
- 23:57Speaker 4: actually motivated to hit even more because they actually listened
- 24:01Speaker 4: to them thing go Yeah, all right, I do want
- 24:06Speaker 4: to tell you about a little raffle that my foundation
- 24:09Speaker 4: has right now, because we're gonna make a spot, but

- 25:26Speaker 4: where it's like, you know, sure you're not eligible to win.
- 25:29Speaker 4: Anybody can Landro Taytay brain across the hall kade if
- 25:33Speaker 4: he still so inclined. Cassie, who's probably slots down in
- 25:38Speaker 4: your chair right now, order in Chick fil a. She
- 25:40Speaker 4: can win too.
- 25:41Speaker 8: Talking someone, Yeah, she never stops talking is already terrible.
- 25:47Speaker 10: We work right next to each other. Sometimes I gotta
- 25:50Speaker 10: tell her to Jill Cassie a little bit. Leave the
- 25:53Speaker 10: talking to a minimum, please, I'm trying to concentrate. It's
- 25:58Speaker 10: definitely not the other way around, and it's not I
- 26:01Speaker 10: would tell you for wise, did you say what they did?
- 26:05Speaker 7: I really thought when you said that, you said you
- 26:08Speaker 7: said leave to talking to the to a minimum right now,
- 26:12Speaker 7: I thought I thought you were going to live to
- 26:14Speaker 7: talking to them because it was a hard put.
- 26:18Speaker 9: Me in a bad spot. Ever something I didn't do.
- 26:20Speaker 6: Yep, sexist.
- 26:23Speaker 8: I know it's ridiculous. It's twenty twenty six six.
- 26:26Speaker 6: Women women can do.
- 26:27Speaker 10: Sorry guys, I don't remember saying that, but I apologize anyways.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Just like the Elvis Hall of Fame thing.
- 26:33Speaker 10: God, yeah, ridiculous, Yeah, Sorrycovery in the show, how dare
- 26:40Speaker 10: you just believe everything you read?
- 26:41Speaker 9: Yeah and see.
- 26:45Speaker 6: And see. You got to see it to read it.
- 26:50Speaker 9: In fairness, No, I'm saying like I actually went and
- 26:53Speaker 9: it was the dad big thing.
- 27:02Speaker 6: Hey, there's a baseball game in it. Northwest hot right.
- 27:10Speaker 9: Who trying to try to knock off that four game lost.
- 27:14Speaker 4: To remember Northwestern last year got after you and Tiger
- 27:20Speaker 4: Tiger Stadium in Alec Box got after you.
- 27:23Speaker 6: Get right game.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Then you gotta do something. It gotta break a four
- 27:28Speaker 4: game skid. We talked about it yesterday multiple times. It's
- 27:31Speaker 4: not only the four game skid, but it's what's coming
- 27:34Speaker 4: down the tracks. And what's coming down the tracks ain't easy.
- 27:38Speaker 4: I mean, you're about to go A and M at home,
- 27:42Speaker 4: who's the number nine team in the country, and then
- 27:44Speaker 4: you gotta go to star Vegas against Mississippi State, who's.
- 27:49Speaker 11: Kind of on a a little bit of a downward
- 27:51Speaker 11: but but you still have to go to Stars exactly.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Look, they're not as good as I thought they were
- 27:56Speaker 4: going to be to this point, but she knows. When
- 28:00Speaker 4: you go play at Mississippi State, you're gonna get the
- 28:04Speaker 4: crowd's very best. Even if you're bad. That crowd is
- 28:08Speaker 4: gonna see purple and gold and they're gonna get after you.
- 28:11Speaker 4: So you get one little come up for a breath
- 28:14Speaker 4: against South Carolina. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. They're bad, bad,
- 28:18Speaker 4: But then it goes right back into you travel to Athens,
- 28:21Speaker 4: Georgia to take on the top team in the SEC.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Then you host Florida and then it's SEC tournament time.
- 28:28Speaker 4: So Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Texas, A and M gauntlet.
- 28:34Speaker 10: Yeah, it's unfortunate, like you could you've made a run before,
- 28:37Speaker 10: like you've been behind the eight ball before, but you're
- 28:39Speaker 10: six and nine and the easy part of your schedule,
- 28:43Speaker 10: like that's your schedule is getting tougher.
- 28:45Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, but it's it is a Tuesday, and we
- 28:48Speaker 7: can't overlook a Tuesday that Tigers have lost to McNeice
- 28:51Speaker 7: Northeastern Lafayette and but then Cookman.
- 28:53Speaker 6: This year.
- 28:55Speaker 4: On those guys they're RPI. We talked about it before
- 28:58Speaker 4: the old My series is horrible, it's not great. Like
- 29:02Speaker 4: you got to fight to make the postseason right now.
- 29:05Speaker 4: And when I say fight, like fight like, hell yeah,
- 29:07Speaker 4: to make the postseason. Do you have one of those runs?
- 29:11Speaker 4: Will Helmer's was in here with us yesterday. He was
- 29:13Speaker 4: talking about the year after they won in twenty three,
- 29:16Speaker 4: like they fought hard and they got to the Chapel
- 29:19Speaker 4: Hill Regional and then they fought there and I mean,
- 29:22Speaker 4: Will gave you performance of a lifetime. Guy was out
- 29:26Speaker 4: there just shoving that day. And remember like just couldn't.
- 29:30Speaker 7: Different moments Like I think we've seen the skill we've
- 29:32Speaker 7: seen the talent, we've seen the skill set that this
- 29:35Speaker 7: team has in order to be able to go on
- 29:37Speaker 7: a run. But I mean, it just seems like it
- 29:41Speaker 7: parts at times this year. There hasn't been a phase
- 29:45Speaker 7: of the game that hasn't struggled that she kind of
- 29:48Speaker 7: hold your breath at defense starting pitcher or leaf pitcher.
- 29:52Speaker 7: Of course, the lineup goes in these crazy lulls, but
- 29:55Speaker 7: then all of a sudden they explode, like we don't
- 29:58Speaker 7: need we don't have to have the ten run any
- 30:00Speaker 7: let's just spread it out through the game.
- 30:03Speaker 8: Right, we don't have like trying to say that, like
- 30:05Speaker 8: just put the ball in play. Why are you swinging
- 30:08Speaker 8: out your shoes every single time?
- 30:09Speaker 7: Yeah, And it just that's just what it feels like
- 30:12Speaker 7: that almost every phase of the game has at times
- 30:16Speaker 7: seems like a real struggle. Yeah, this team, which is
- 30:18Speaker 7: frustrating because you've seen the good, right, you've seen you've
- 30:21Speaker 7: you've seen it maybe not consistently on defense, but you've
- 30:24Speaker 7: seen the good pitching, you've seen incredible hitting, and that's
- 30:30Speaker 7: what's frustrating.
- 30:31Speaker 6: But like and we've seen we've seen the bad. We've
- 30:33Speaker 6: seen them lose way too many games. They shouldn't be
- 30:37Speaker 6: having any business losing.
- 30:38Speaker 11: Yeah, I think it was Will that was saying it
- 30:40Speaker 11: yesterday that like it's not ever all good. Like it's
- 30:44Speaker 11: either the offense is good and the defense is not,
- 30:47Speaker 11: or it's like the defense you don't have any errors
- 30:50Speaker 11: and the pitching isn't great, or the pitching's on fire
- 30:53Speaker 11: and you're not hit producing out the plate, Like it
- 30:55Speaker 11: can never all be cohesive.
- 30:57Speaker 6: It's kind of like the story of Brian Kelly just about.
- 31:00Speaker 8: To say that.
- 31:01Speaker 11: It's like we talked about complimentary football all season with
- 31:04Speaker 11: Brian Kelly and like I don't feel like we're playing
- 31:06Speaker 11: any complimentary baseball right now.
- 31:09Speaker 8: Yeah. So it's it's hard to watch.
- 31:13Speaker 11: As somebody that like sits and watches literally every single game,
- 31:17Speaker 11: even like in you do, even like when we did
- 31:20Speaker 11: the Chapel Hill Regional that wasn't a great season at either,
- 31:22Speaker 11: but I was at the box I was watching every
- 31:24Speaker 11: single game like this is hard to watch.
- 31:28Speaker 8: Yeah, And I've never been like I can't watch this,
- 31:30Speaker 8: but it's it's hard to watch.
- 31:31Speaker 4: And that regional final, Yeah, our guy Will went five
- 31:35Speaker 4: and two thirds and gave up two hits, struck out four.
- 31:40Speaker 10: Or even even that season, you felt like you had
- 31:42Speaker 10: a shot because you had Gage John Luke Coleman.
- 31:44Speaker 9: Yeah, you felt like you had a chance.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Like Gage tried to come in and close that game,
- 31:48Speaker 4: and you know we all know how that went.
- 31:50Speaker 5: Uh. You know what?
- 31:51Speaker 4: Also, like looking at that box score, you know what
- 31:53Speaker 4: we missed out on that we've always had when we've
- 31:56Speaker 4: made runs the bad body gud we got the wrong one.
- 32:01Speaker 8: We got the wrong one.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Well because Nate Achenhausen went an inning, struck out all.
- 32:05Speaker 9: Three in that same game save two runs in that game.
- 32:09Speaker 4: Yeah, k Beloso, Riley Cooper, Riley Cooper. Yeah, has been
- 32:16Speaker 4: good about him, but yeah, and I don't know that
- 32:19Speaker 4: I call him like the bad we're talking about.
- 32:21Speaker 8: Like like Riley Cooper Achenhaus and we're like, yeah, you know.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Who I'm talking about.
- 32:27Speaker 6: But you just said so.
- 32:28Speaker 4: I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I gotta have
- 32:35Speaker 4: the bad body guy to win.
- 32:38Speaker 9: Her win four since uh Sentince zac Cart Yeah.
- 32:43Speaker 4: But I mean you get a better production.
- 32:45Speaker 5: But I.
- 32:47Speaker 4: Mean, can anybody tell me who started that North Carolina
- 32:51Speaker 4: Regional final because what and Will Will came in.
- 32:55Speaker 6: After I was I was, I was doing that game.
- 33:02Speaker 8: I can't remember.
- 33:04Speaker 4: Uh, I'm gonna give you all a hand that's gonna
- 33:06Speaker 4: give away. Ended up being much better after he left.
- 33:10Speaker 6: L Su.
- 33:11Speaker 4: Oh this is uh, this is Sam Duntan, Sam Dunn, Oh,
- 33:15Speaker 4: Sammy Dunnan, Samuel Dunton in that regional final gave you
- 33:18Speaker 4: no innings, pitched three hits, two earned runs, and the
- 33:23Speaker 4: Will was right after Coleman came in gave you an
- 33:27Speaker 4: inning and a third and then Will came in gave
- 33:30Speaker 4: you five and two thirds Ackenhausen came in, gave you
- 33:32Speaker 4: an inning, gage jump went two innings.
- 33:35Speaker 8: Yeah, man gage jump was good.
- 33:38Speaker 7: He was he's through the minor leagues, I mean, speaking
- 33:42Speaker 7: of crushing it for pitching. For see Kate Anderson struck
- 33:47Speaker 7: out eleven his last outing, hasn't given up and two
- 33:51Speaker 7: starts haven't given up a run.
- 33:53Speaker 4: Is that good?
- 33:54Speaker 6: That's pretty good?
- 33:55Speaker 7: Like that's I think if you like, as a baseball team,
- 33:58Speaker 7: if you go into the game without giving up runs.
- 34:01Speaker 6: He got a decent shot at win it.
- 34:03Speaker 8: Yeah, pretty decent.
- 34:07Speaker 9: It's fifty fifty.
- 34:08Speaker 7: Kay, Amrierson is awesome, But like he's not that dominating force,
- 34:12Speaker 7: like that presence on the mound, So I had no
- 34:14Speaker 7: idea how he would actually like translate to the next
- 34:16Speaker 7: level because he's not this guy ripping one hundred.
- 34:19Speaker 4: And he'll he'll dial it up there, you know what
- 34:23Speaker 4: I'm saying. Though, Like when you see skins on the mount,
- 34:25Speaker 4: you're like, oh god, yeah exactly.
- 34:28Speaker 7: He's not that that dominating, intimidating factor that's standing on
- 34:32Speaker 7: the mound. But my god, he's pitching incredible right now.
- 34:37Speaker 8: Unreal, it's unreal.
- 34:39Speaker 6: Like he was fresh.
- 34:40Speaker 11: Yeah, well, I feel like even his first season at LSU,
- 34:43Speaker 11: when he was pitching in the midweeks, we were like, Okay,
- 34:46Speaker 11: this guy's gonna be really good because I think he
- 34:49Speaker 11: had like thirteen strikeouts versus Southeastern and after that people
- 34:52Speaker 11: were like, oh, and then he comes and is the
- 34:54Speaker 11: Friday starter, and he was great. He was Kate Anderson
- 34:59Speaker 11: and Anthony Jansen. That one two punch was legendary. Like,
- 35:03Speaker 11: I don't know if we'll ever see something like that again.
- 35:07Speaker 4: It's hard. It's harder now to get something like that.
- 35:09Speaker 4: It feels like just because it's so hard to keep
- 35:12Speaker 4: two frontline starts on the same team.
- 35:14Speaker 6: With Case Evans coming out of the bullpen.
- 35:16Speaker 8: Yeah, right, exactly right.
- 35:18Speaker 11: And you had Zak Cowen too, So I mean it
- 35:20Speaker 11: just but I was doing the Jay Johnson Show last
- 35:24Speaker 11: night and he said that hopefully Cooper Moore will have
- 35:28Speaker 11: at least one inning this weekend. Okay, He's like, if
- 35:32Speaker 11: I can get one scoreless inning from Cooper More, I'm
- 35:34Speaker 11: happy with that. Right, So we might see Cooper More
- 35:37Speaker 11: in some sort of capacity, very limited, but in some
- 35:39Speaker 11: sort of capacity this weekend. And I feel like that's
- 35:41Speaker 11: a really good sign because if it was more serious.
- 35:46Speaker 4: All right, we got to take a break LSU series
- 35:49Speaker 4: this weekend Friday six pm first pitch, Saturday is going
- 35:53Speaker 4: to be a night game seven pm First Pitch, and

- 38:16Speaker 4: You come back the next day you win three to
- 38:18Speaker 4: one and then got away from you late in game

- 38:37Speaker 4: is going to be first pitch at six pm, so

- 38:45Speaker 4: My god, you got to go there back to back
- 38:48Speaker 4: football seasons. Baseball had to go there. So Old Miss
