- 0:03access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:41It's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you could be listening to a porn addiction
- 0:48hypnosis session. And this is one of the fastest
- 0:51growing addictions that exists because of the immediacy and the
- 0:56link to some form of pleasure or gratification.
- 1:00And the client that I was working with didn't want to feel
- 1:05that compulsion, that kind of desire.
- 1:09And one of the key metaphors that you're going to hear in
- 1:12this particular hypnosis session is if you think of your favorite
- 1:16food like whatever your like most ideal, most desired meal
- 1:21is. If a few people spat in that
- 1:23meal and you saw that happening, something that was incredibly
- 1:29desirable then becomes something that you just don't want.
- 1:32You can go from a a sense of desire and compulsion to disgust
- 1:41and revulsion or repulsion pretty quick by adding something
- 1:45to it. So in this particular session,
- 1:47what we add to the meaning of porn is some of the dark or
- 1:53sinister things that go on in that industry.
- 1:57There are lots of cases of coercion or manipulation or
- 2:01exploitation or praying on very vulnerable people.
- 2:06Not in all cases, but in enough cases for it to have some kind
- 2:12of an impact. And I remember there was a local
- 2:15Chinese restaurant in the town where I live, and there was a
- 2:18case of someone finding an insect in their food.
- 2:22Now, clearly there wasn't an insect in every single meal that
- 2:26was being prepared, but the fact that it kind of went viral on
- 2:30social media that an insect was found in this was enough for
- 2:34people to start connecting an insect into the food and then
- 2:39they simply didn't want it. That business ended up closing
- 2:41down, not because it was true 100% of the time, but it was
- 2:46true enough of the time for it to have a different association.
- 2:52So in this particular session, there are things connected to
- 2:55the idea of porn, of it being, you know, this kind of pathway
- 3:00to unrealistic standards or it's the almost like the
- 3:05entertainment equivalent of empty calories that it gives
- 3:08gratification, but it's not doing any good in the long term.
- 3:12And all of these things are linked into this idea of it's
- 3:16there, you can do it, but you don't want to do it.
- 3:19And I think if you're listening to this and you do have a
- 3:22problem with porn, you might get some value from it.
- 3:26And I say a problem with porn because I think in a lot of
- 3:30cases, some things and, and it's all about judgement.
- 3:34Certain things that are judged to be either good or bad quite
- 3:38often are shades of Gray. A lot of people would say, well,
- 3:42if you gamble every now and then and it doesn't really affect the
- 3:46quality of your life, you know, it's not an addiction.
- 3:50There's nothing really wrong with it.
- 3:52If, however, you gamble so much that you're getting in debt, you
- 3:55have your house repossessed, you affect the quality of your
- 3:59family's life, then it becomes a problem.
- 4:01And I think for a lot of people, porn is like that.
- 4:03For the majority of people, they will occasionally watch porn
- 4:06every now and then, but it doesn't really become a
- 4:10compulsion or a constant thought or something.
- 4:12They do regulate. It's every now and then, and
- 4:15that might be OK with them. It doesn't create a desire to
- 4:18change. But this client that I was
- 4:19working with did feel it was something they were doing too
- 4:24much and they wanted to change that.
- 4:26And that's why there is these associations of negative
- 4:30connotations. And again, it doesn't have to be
- 4:32a true 100% of the time. I'm sure there's people thinking
- 4:35this was saying, well, you know, that person really enjoys that
- 4:38career in the porn industry. I'm sure that person does.
- 4:40But there's a lot of people that that don't.
- 4:43And the goal isn't to have a debate as to what's real or
- 4:46what's not. The goal for the client was can
- 4:49we link a sinister or disgusting association to something?
- 4:55So that their. Desire would go down and if any
- 4:58of these things resonate to you then you might get some value
- 5:01from this session. And as always, you know it was
- 5:04created for an individual. Not all the suggestions are
- 5:07going to be useful or relevant for you, so if you do feel like
- 5:10a bespoke session could be helpful, there will be a link in
- 5:13the show notes to schedule that free consultation call.
- 5:16For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 5:18won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 6:03Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 6:12feeling of relaxation and then release it, exhaling tension,
- 6:19feeling a heaviness on your eyelids and with your eyes
- 6:25closed, you realize how much easier it is to focus on the
- 6:33sound of my voice. Breathing in, relaxation,
- 6:39exhaling tension. And if you need to position your
- 6:44body in a way for you to get even more comfortable, allow
- 6:48yourself to do that and scan your body for any clues of
- 6:55tension in the moment or echoes of tension in the past.
- 7:04And sometimes it's there in the forehead, around the jaw, in the
- 7:09neck and the shoulders. I want you to get a sense that
- 7:13as you breathe in that relaxation, those echoes of
- 7:19tension are melting away, and you can feel that tension leave
- 7:24your body in your outward breath, enabling you with each
- 7:30and every breath to feel deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 7:39As you feel your muscles loosen, your breath becoming deeper and
- 7:45longer and more steady, and you can feel perhaps your mind
- 7:52slowing down, sinking into a deep state of comfort and
- 7:59awareness. Allow the body to do the
- 8:08breathing for you, not needing to force it, and with each
- 8:13breath, allow yourself to go deeper and deeper, as if
- 8:24descending into a calm, quiet place inside your mind, a place
- 8:29where change happens effortlessly.
- 8:32I want you to use the power of your imagination to imagine
- 8:42going back in time, seeing yourself as a a child
- 8:50discovering porn for the very first time.
- 8:57Maybe you remember where you were, how you discovered it.
- 9:07I want you to see yourself being perhaps fascinated, excited, see
- 9:14the emotions on your face that you experienced that very first
- 9:16time. And I want you to get a sense of
- 9:29new perspective, knowing what you now know.
- 9:34Look at that first experience and say, of course this is just
- 9:39a natural part of a boy transitioning into becoming an
- 9:45adolescent, a natural process. I want you to get a sense Then
- 10:00there would have been certain emotional connections
- 10:03associations made in that moment that weren't necessarily.
- 10:08True, but. Felt compelling.
- 10:17I want you to get a sense then some things in small amounts can
- 10:23even be beneficial. But what if small things become
- 10:34regular things and become a form of gratification, a strategy to
- 10:42access emotions on demand? I want you to get a sense that
- 10:56many things are fine in small quantities.
- 11:01Eating a slice of cake is fine celebrating special occasion.
- 11:05But to eat a cake every day of your life would have
- 11:10consequences, and perhaps that very first time you saw it as
- 11:18something harmless, fun, exciting.
- 11:25But what if we were able to create new associations with it,
- 11:31to make it still possible but simply no longer desirable?
- 11:48As you leave that memory, go back to that quiet place where
- 11:52change takes place. And for so long, porn may have
- 12:05been an easy escape, a convenient way to feel pleasure.
- 12:11To seek release. But what if today we pull back
- 12:19the curtain and see this harmless thing for what it
- 12:25really is? As you breathe in and breathe
- 12:33out, just imagine the ability to see what happens beyond porn
- 12:42that is available, the circumstances that led up to it,
- 12:50the choices, the pressure, the coercion, the vulnerability.
- 13:03What if you started to think of porn as an illusion, a fantasy
- 13:10built on the suffering rather than pleasure of others, A well
- 13:19packaged lie designed to keep you coming back.
- 13:24But what if beneath the surface there is something darker,
- 13:28something sinister, something you no longer want to be part
- 13:34of? And maybe this industry profits
- 13:42not from happiness, not from intimacy, not from love, but
- 13:47from manipulation, coercion and pain.
- 13:57I want you to get a sense that the people that made a choice to
- 14:02make this their career, their passion, the thing they do and
- 14:07they enjoy it, are probably the minority.
- 14:13I want you to get a sense that many of the people that you may
- 14:17have watched didn't want to be there.
- 14:22Some were desperate, some were pressured, some could have been
- 14:27trapped and many will leave with deep scars, physical, emotional
- 14:38and mental. But that industry doesn't care
- 14:44because those people are disposable.
- 14:48There will be other young, vulnerable new people that don't
- 14:56know that dark side yet that can be manipulated.
- 15:03There will always be new people to exploit.
- 15:16I want you to get a sense that for the performer, this isn't
- 15:23desire. It's a charade, a transaction.
- 15:28Their body becomes a product, their emotions discarded, their
- 15:35dignity stripped away. For the next scene, the next
- 15:38click, the next view. Your fantasy fades, but some of
- 15:50that trauma that you're not aware of stays.
- 15:58And maybe you used to see porn as entertainment, harmless fun.
- 16:08But what if now, when you think of it, you feel like you're
- 16:11seeing the truth? You see the broken smiles, the
- 16:16tired eyes, the disposable people that we used and then
- 16:21discarded. You begin to notice what was
- 16:26always there, but you didn't pick up on the emptiness behind
- 16:33the scenes, the rigidity in the dialogue, like someone that's
- 16:43kidnapped reading a ransom letter.
- 16:47Not their words, but their being said anyway.
- 16:53The numbness in their faces, the disconnect from real intimacy.
- 17:04And with each realization, something begins to shift inside
- 17:07you. Something deep, something
- 17:11lasting. Because now, when you imagine
- 17:16watching porn, what if it's no longer tempting, no longer
- 17:21arousing? Instead, it feels cheap, fake,
- 17:28tainted. It's like empty calories, a
- 17:34momentary satisfaction that leaves you feeling worse, not
- 17:40better. I want you to think of your
- 17:45favorite meal, the thing you like more than anything else.
- 17:54Imagine on a table on a nice plate cutlery with a nice drink
- 18:02by it, and then just imagine 5 random strangers spitting into
- 18:12that meal. Something can used to be
- 18:18desirable and then become disgusting simply because
- 18:23something else is added. Used to be a compulsion can
- 18:30become a repulsion. What used to be desirable can
- 18:38now feel disgusting. I want you to get a sense that
- 18:46feeling that something that could be based on exploiting
- 18:50vulnerable people, using coercion, manipulation,
- 18:58psychological principles to groom and influence feels a bit
- 19:04gross, unpleasant, disgusting. It feels a bit icky.
- 19:15And the more you think about that, the truer it becomes.
- 19:26And you know that to be true because if you imagine going
- 19:30forwards in time and having a daughter and that daughter said
- 19:39I want to be a porn star, what would your genuine concerns and
- 19:48thoughts be? Imagine it feeling like empty
- 20:05calories. Now there's certain foods that
- 20:10you just don't want because even if they feel like they taste
- 20:15good, they come with consequences.
- 20:18And from this moment forward, whenever you think about porn,
- 20:24what if something happens automatically?
- 20:32The images that once pulled you in become dull, grey and
- 20:36lifeless. The desire that once felt strong
- 20:40grows weak, distant and unimportant.
- 20:46What was once an urge now feels empty, repulsive, or just
- 20:53forgettable. The very idea of it feels small,
- 21:00like a faded memory that no longer matters.
- 21:05You could watch it, but you just don't want to.
- 21:12Because what if now you see it for what it is, and each time
- 21:17you step further away from it, you step towards something real?
- 21:22Towards real connection, real intimacy, real control over your
- 21:27mind and body. A future where you seek real
- 21:32pleasure, not gratification, real connection, not
- 21:40convenience. Allow your mind to update
- 21:45certain beliefs and thoughts so that yes indeed, the thing that
- 21:52used to be appealing loses its appeal.
- 21:54And when your mind has made that change, let me know by nodding
- 21:59your head. I want you to imagine perhaps a
- 22:11week from now, a month from now. Observe yourself where the
- 22:17thought pops into your mind, but the thought is now tainted.
- 22:26You could, you just don't want to.
- 22:30And if it feels that the next time the thought about porn will
- 22:34be more unpleasant than pleasant of no by nodding your head.
- 22:45And I want you to get a sense that there will be an element of
- 22:54sexual attractive material online that you feel is not
- 23:01based on coercion. Maybe it's a model, or maybe
- 23:09it's something that feels safe, still not real, but no longer
- 23:20tainted. That if you were to do
- 23:22something, you would be discerning with that choice.
- 23:30I want you to get a sense then your future now is a future
- 23:38where you take pride in not wanting that thing, wanting the
- 23:44real experience, not something fake and fabricated, not
- 23:49something dark and sinister, something real.
- 23:53So allow your mind to deploy all of those emotional and
- 23:57intellectual resources into that new direction as one door
- 24:04closes, several others open. And what if this new connection,
- 24:12connotation, association with porn leads to those real
- 24:20experiences that leads to a real relationship, real connections,
- 24:27real pleasure. And the clue to real pleasure is
- 24:36it feels good when you experience it, and it feels good
- 24:40when you think back about it. But not once have you done that
- 24:46with porn. That's how you know it was
- 24:48gratification, but a time with friends for a day that went so
- 24:58well. You enjoyed the moment and you
- 25:02enjoyed thinking about that moment.
- 25:05And that's what's real. It's time to leave this place in
- 25:11your mind where change happens, taking all of these new
- 25:16thoughts, connotations and associations with you.
- 25:19So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 25:24nose. Wiggle your fingers and wiggle
- 25:27your toes. Start to calibrate with the here
- 25:29and now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 25:33You will awaken feeling a sense of pride, a sense of evolution,
- 25:41that you are simply not the same person you were before because
- 25:46you think about things differently.
- 25:47Now starting to count 123 Waking up 456 More alert 7-8 Open your
