Suspense #644, "Game Hunt," professional hunter R. Cross leads American businessman Babson on a safari in Kenya country, tracking a magnificent black-maned lion. When Babson fires prematurely against Cross's orders, he wounds the lion but fails to stop it. The animal escapes into eight-foot-tall elephant grass, transforming from trophy into one of the most dangerous threats in Africa: a wounded, enraged predator. Cross and his native tracker Charlie must now pursue the lion into dense cover where it holds every advantage.
