Transcript
- 0:11Hi, I'm so glad you're here. Welcome to the 101st interview
- 0:16on this podcast. I'm your host, Esther from
- 0:20Switzerland, author of Living Without Fear and Co creator of
- 0:25the Amazon bestseller Inspired Journeys.
- 0:28You might be needing a moment to pause, to breathe, to feel seen.
- 0:33Whatever brought you here, we are honored to be with you.
- 0:39And if today's interview speaks to you or brings someone to
- 0:43mind, please pass it on. Let's keep spreading light.
- 0:49And I'm so excited to introduce you to Brent Bruning from
- 0:54Switzerland. He has already analyzed more
- 0:58than 26,000 hands in over 50 countries.
- 1:04Hands from leaders, artists and entrepreneurs from all over the
- 1:10world. Brent is a professional hand
- 1:13analyst who looks at how fear, shame and the survival
- 1:18strategies we pick up early in life shape our nervous system
- 1:24and how how they can quietly limit how we show up and express
- 1:29ourselves. He helps people gently dissolve
- 1:34fear based patterns and reconnect with clarity,
- 1:39resilience and the meaner sense of direction.
- 1:44Welcome to the show, dear Brent. Thank you, Esther.
- 1:50I love working with you. I've seen you do self
- 1:53development work now for how many years?
- 1:55So 678 when you first got your hand analysis back in when you
- 2:00were doing a book that my kids love.
- 2:03So it's, it's great to have your audience.
- 2:07And I love what your how things have been opening up for you
- 2:10with your increasing involvement with Tony Robbins.
- 2:14And it's it's awesome to see you so empowering and being a
- 2:18visionary. Thank you so much, Brent.
- 2:21So let's start with my favorite question.
- 2:24What has been your turning moment in life?
- 2:29The the the turning moment was to be a hand reader.
- 2:35I, I was in 20 years of software robotics working in the, the
- 2:41companies in Switzerland and in Austin, TX.
- 2:44And I knew when I had my hand read back in 2007 that there was
- 2:53a systematic way in which you could understand your nervous
- 2:57system and what you're here to do.
- 2:59Like neurologically, what you seem to be amazing at.
- 3:03And it wasn't software robotics. You can see that I was good at
- 3:08it, but it wasn't so fulfilling. And so it was with their
- 3:13encouragement, they said at some point you're going to realize
- 3:17that you can't serve 2 masters, All the things you love doing in
- 3:22the spiritual realm, like all the money that I was spending on
- 3:26self development while working an IT job.
- 3:32At some point you're going to have to choose and you're going
- 3:34to have to go fully into that world and it's going to be risky
- 3:37because there's no real for what we see for you.
- 3:41There's not really anyone doing it in the world.
- 3:47So it's going to be like asking you to go and be AB 52 bomber in
- 3:51World War 2, knowing that 90% of the people aren't going to come
- 3:54back. And that's what you're meant to
- 3:56do and you should do it and figure it out.
- 3:59Just be one of those people that comes back.
- 4:02So that transition was very hard for me.
- 4:05It was very anxiety driven because I, you know, had a job.
- 4:11I was doing very well in my job. I was speaking in Las Vegas
- 4:14about software robotics and, and so when I have a father who is a
- 4:20Colonel and a sister is a diplomat in Geneva and straight
- 4:25A students and all that and they're seeing their, my mom's
- 4:28seeing her son going. I'm now going to be a hand
- 4:31reader. That raised some alarms and
- 4:35you'll be a hand reader in Switzerland, which is already
- 4:37expensive and you're going to, and you're a father and you have
- 4:41two kids. I don't know what you're going
- 4:44to do with your pension and all of that.
- 4:46You're going to be a hand reader, OK.
- 4:48And maybe you should just make that into a hobby and stay
- 4:54there. And that's what the problem was.
- 4:56I believe that as well. And I made it a hobby.
- 4:58And so I, it took forever for me to transition to that, but I
- 5:02did. And thanks to having some
- 5:05savings and going through a period of unemployment, I would
- 5:09I finally said, let's do this. And I I got into full operation
- 5:15believing that I now am good enough to read people.
- 5:20So yeah, that was my transition. And.
- 5:24What? What's written in your hands
- 5:27besides? Well, if you're listening you, I
- 5:32have to explain what I'm, what I'm saying here a little bit.
- 5:36Try to understand that when you're at seven weeks as a
- 5:40fetus, when your soul comes into your body, or if you're a
- 5:46scientist, you would say your heart is beating now for the
- 5:49first time, an electromagnetic signal is going out to the rest
- 5:53of your body. Your hands are really, really
- 5:57tiny because you're really tiny at 7 weeks and you're just
- 6:00water. Essentially.
- 6:02You're a water being even more than you are now.
- 6:06So any electric signal comes out, it comes out and it
- 6:10expresses A biological destiny. This is proven by twins
- 6:15separated from birth. They didn't even know they had a
- 6:18twin. And they have these patterns
- 6:21that they seem to be neurologically turned on with
- 6:25and that those patterns that the heart goes and expresses into
- 6:32with the brain and the limbic brain at that time, which is all
- 6:36you have, you don't have a prefrontal cortex, the limbic
- 6:39brain saying I want this particular area of life and it
- 6:44goes out into the hand and it makes a preference between each
- 6:47of these areas. Maybe you weren't maybe a world
- 6:51success and you end up getting a big amount of stem cells in that
- 6:55area. Big ball, it looks, it's called
- 6:58a volar pad. It looks like a surgical glove.
- 7:00And somebody went, and at the end of it, this gecko finger you
- 7:07got there now stays, and it's bigger here or maybe here for
- 7:13you. And as it stays that way for
- 7:17four months, eventually you get the fingerprints that come
- 7:20around it. And each fingerprint pattern
- 7:24tells us how you are around that domain in life.
- 7:28All right, I have a big ball in the domain called Make Things
- 7:35Happen and Manifest Things for People.
- 7:38Maybe so do you and you have a circle there which is let's
- 7:42think this maybe this manifest. Some people have a fear of
- 7:45failure. So it told thing contracts.
- 7:47So I don't have that. I have a need to.
- 7:51If I don't do I get really upset with myself If I didn't achieve
- 7:55an impossible To Do List everyday accomplishment, I got
- 8:00to do it. So it's kind of my life purpose
- 8:04in another domain called being a visionary leader and another
- 8:09domain called making money. I'd rather analyze.
- 8:12That's a fingerprint pattern. We call it tenant arch.
- 8:15It goes up like that. So if you look at your, you're
- 8:17looking at your fingers, the circle in the thumb is that big
- 8:22ball. All right.
- 8:24And when it goes like that, then that's an analytic.
- 8:28Your brain is analyzing that domain in life all the time,
- 8:33which is why I went and became a nerd and software robotics
- 8:38because I was also doing good doing financial analysis and
- 8:41business analysis and all that. So who's a nerd who loves
- 8:46analyzing all the time, who loves manifesting big projects?
- 8:51And so it's not a big transition for me to go from building up
- 8:56big program for UBS to suddenly building up people's life and
- 9:01not helping them understand their nervous system and how it
- 9:04functions so that they can operate in the domain of their
- 9:07zone of genius. So that's what my fingerprints
- 9:11say. World success, wisdom, leader
- 9:14hopefully and empowering people to understand their design.
- 9:23Great. And what struck you the most
- 9:27during your hand analysis research?
- 9:31What can you give some examples from people?
- 9:37Yes, I was very skeptical, even though it was handed to me with
- 9:42a golden platter by Richard Unger.
- 9:46That hand analysis is showing our life pattern because it's
- 9:50too convenient. It's hard for people to
- 9:55understand it because the person normally who's trying to tell
- 9:59you they can read the life pattern already knows you a lot.
- 10:04So that bias makes it really difficult going, well, you know
- 10:07that about me. You know that I'm an artist,
- 10:10right? So that's the part that people
- 10:12have a very difficult time seeing.
- 10:15Is that the energy of how you are as a person?
- 10:18Well, you see that with me a lot.
- 10:20You just asked me, right? But what you're not seeing is
- 10:23the long term longevity patterns and aging patterns.
- 10:28So that's what intrigued me the most is to prove it because I'm
- 10:33a guy that needs proof and I didn't like these way in which
- 10:41it was presented to me. I, I was about to pull out of
- 10:45it. I'm not going to do it, but I
- 10:46got these big binders are like, and there are thousands of pages
- 10:51that the institute had me go through and thousands of hands
- 10:56in order to let me out in public to say and show people what I
- 11:00can do. I didn't like that.
- 11:04So I wanted a simple way to just teach people that this is so.
- 11:10So as I was researching it, it became really fun to get into
- 11:15people's life story. And it was like coming out gay.
- 11:19I'm a hand reader and I am now going to read the an astronaut
- 11:25in Switzerland. You think an astronaut cares
- 11:27about a hand reader? And that's all of my fear that I
- 11:30had to go through. Yeah.
- 11:32And. And when I would get his
- 11:35handprint, I would test two people who understood the system
- 11:38for years, decades. And I would see if they had the
- 11:44same result. And that was fascinating that
- 11:46they would say exactly the same thing.
- 11:48This guy wants to reach the stars.
- 11:51You can't just be happy just being a pilot.
- 11:54He wants to just go and constantly explore everything.
- 11:58So when they were doing that, they were often weighing into a
- 12:03language of the nervous system that you could see in the
- 12:07fingerprints. And I was still skeptical about
- 12:10it until they were able to guess that not only they had the film
- 12:13director, both of them guessed that, but they were both that
- 12:17this guy was a horror film director.
- 12:19And that killed me because these guys didn't see them.
- 12:23They, they never knew it. All they had was a handprint. 1
- 12:26was in California, the other ones in Switzerland.
- 12:28Both recorded interviews. How did they know that this guy
- 12:32has a biological destiny to be create horror films or be a
- 12:37circus director? Like seriously?
- 12:41So those that just kind of weirded me out and it wasn't it.
- 12:44It became not only that they can do this, but why is the nervous
- 12:50system set up so that we do these things so much?
- 12:54You can guess what we do in the fingerprints.
- 12:57And how much are we living in a biological destiny?
- 13:00How much free choice? Obviously, I had that question
- 13:03that everyone asks me is, do are you reading my future?
- 13:07And so, yes, I am I, I'm reading your future until your future
- 13:12changes. OK, You have a biological
- 13:14destiny until I tell you. And then you can choose
- 13:16something else, right? You do have free choice, all
- 13:19right, but it's really hard when you're biologically ingrained in
- 13:22a habitual pattern. So that's what fascinated me.
- 13:26The next thing that fascinated me is that you can see your
- 13:29aging pattern and you can see when I show it to you why you're
- 13:35aging and how long you're. And when you go into it, you'll
- 13:38see for yourself. You'll just look at your
- 13:40pictures and go, you know what? That was a period I if love is
- 13:44my rocket fuel and that I went through that breakup and you see
- 13:49what I look like for the three years afterwards.
- 13:51I look like I gained 10 years. OK, That's your aging pattern
- 13:55also. That's your longevity pattern.
- 13:58Some people, it's not love, by the way, money issues or you
- 14:04know, family conflicts and stuff like that.
- 14:06So there's gazillion of them. But that also fascinated me.
- 14:12That opened up a whole new world.
- 14:15Can you give some other examples from people we know?
- 14:21Of hands, I've read, yes, people that you know.
- 14:24We know or. OK, let's see, Early on I read
- 14:30Tony Robbins hands. I jumped up on stage because I
- 14:36was signing up for one of his programs and he happened to be
- 14:39just walking around with a security guard on his back, you
- 14:44know, shaking hands, thanking the people that have just signed
- 14:47up. And as he did, I grabbed his
- 14:49hand and I was like, you have a simian crease.
- 14:51You have a headline and lifeline headline and the head and the
- 14:56heart line. These two lines come up here.
- 14:59The way you think and what your emotions, they all get
- 15:01interwoven because they grew at the same time called the simian
- 15:04crease. It makes you radical.
- 15:06Now look at your fingerprints. Why, Sure.
- 15:09Yeah. And so I'm sit there and I've
- 15:12got an entire audience of 5000 people and they're seeing me for
- 15:175 minutes. It was amazing.
- 15:19I know the pressure, but I had the eyes of all 5000 people
- 15:24while I'm telling, including the security guard getting
- 15:26increasingly nervous, and I was telling them, well, you've got a
- 15:31need to serve. You have all these.
- 15:33If you can imagine, I told you I had a circle in one area, which
- 15:37was a bull's eye of neurology that says go do that.
- 15:41What happens if you have 4? You got to go do all four.
- 15:46For you to be happy doesn't make you a better person.
- 15:49That just makes you a more obsessive compulsive person and
- 15:52you can't relax because you can't just sit there and read a
- 15:55book from Friday to Sunday. You got to do 4 things all the
- 15:58time for you to get your dopamine.
- 16:02And Tony, I saw arguably 7, and I also saw areas in him around
- 16:11trust, around value. That word did not grow very
- 16:18well. That created an insecurity
- 16:19pattern of not feeling valued in a relationship as also dealing
- 16:24with trust issues and being blind to sometimes the truth.
- 16:28So that was something that I could see and contribute and
- 16:33seeing his need for contribution.
- 16:35It was awesome. It was being it was great.
- 16:37And when I saw him when I we did the fire walk couple years
- 16:41later, he remembered me. It was like, hi, how are you?
- 16:45It was great. It was wonderful.
- 16:47I know he's got thousands of people, so it really makes a
- 16:50difference because you know when I read your hands, I'm reading
- 16:53your life pattern so personal that this conversation sticks
- 16:57for the rest of your life. I loved reading Eminem, being
- 17:01backstage and holding up him from performing in front of
- 17:0550,000 people at the Reading Festival because I'm inking up
- 17:10his hands in front of us, a very nervous staff going, what are
- 17:14you doing? He's due out now and I was
- 17:17going, what are you doing? You're supposed to be out.
- 17:19Why are you with me? I can't believe God is giving me
- 17:23this blessing to be able to, you know, who has time to have your
- 17:27hand read when you have that responsibility?
- 17:29And he had just cut out BBC, right?
- 17:33He said you guys can't film, so why would he care about a hand
- 17:36reader? But that's the privilege.
- 17:38It's the psych. God has given me some access to
- 17:43people. And when I read his hands, I
- 17:47asked him what his biggest strength was.
- 17:48And he said, well, my middle finger, such a funny thing that
- 17:52he would say. And I could see his entire
- 17:56pattern of the needing to be an artist in his ring finger
- 17:59because he has a circle there, both of them.
- 18:02And I could also see his wrestling with self esteem and
- 18:06not feeling good enough by this contraction in this index finger
- 18:11that creates a long term pattern or a thinking pattern of shame
- 18:15and having to prove yourself all the time in the in every
- 18:18relationship that he's been in and every song, pretty much a
- 18:22rap song that he's it's all about.
- 18:24I am good enough in a relationship.
- 18:26And it's because in his fingerprints, it says that I'm
- 18:30trying to find I'm good enough in this lifetime in a
- 18:32relationship. So that's the beauty of this.
- 18:35I love that Ben Stiller. I've read a lot of celebrities
- 18:38hands. In fact, I have a book of all
- 18:40the people that I've got Beyoncé and all of those people.
- 18:45And that's the the illustration that we all are in kind of
- 18:50different inspiring past. But the more your hand looks
- 18:53like Beyoncé, I bet the more your life is going to look like
- 18:57Beyoncé's. And what is interesting and I
- 19:03learned that only recently that the the lines change because you
- 19:10raise my hands if two weeks ago I think and you compared it to
- 19:16the six years back and you said, oh, there are some lines which
- 19:23disappeared because I was working on some issues, right.
- 19:30How does this work? Yeah.
- 19:32So why is that? So this is the most phenomenal
- 19:37aspect of this work. It's that people, in fact, I
- 19:42love reading hands, OK, but 90% of my work and 90% of my time is
- 19:49not reading hands, even though I love it. 90% of my time is
- 19:52showing people that after they understand the blueprint and the
- 19:57hand analysis, how they can evolve out or through that
- 20:02blueprint. Because that's what I've been
- 20:04doing for when I for 10 years, since 2007 is interviewing
- 20:08people. How did you get to be that when
- 20:10you were that? All right, How many people dream
- 20:14to be a rap star but never did? But something in Eminem got that
- 20:18chance, but it wasn't just chance, it was a biological
- 20:21destiny too. Like he was able to go into his
- 20:26self esteem pattern and make it something as a as a gift of
- 20:30paying his purpose. When somebody is able to fully
- 20:36understand the negative patterns that I see broadcast in their
- 20:41hands, I'll give you an example. Most people have these lines
- 20:46that come across here. I don't have them because I've
- 20:48resolved them, but you have these.
- 20:50A lot of people have these stress factors.
- 20:52You can look at them. They can be very minor.
- 20:55Can you say it? Because we have listeners, not
- 20:59only people who watch. Which lines are you talking
- 21:03about? So if you look at your thumb and
- 21:05index finger where you hold the hammer, that is the part of you
- 21:10that produces no apophen and cortisol and adrenaline that is
- 21:16broadcast into the sympathetic nervous system that is taking
- 21:23the blood flow into your muscles that is causing you to confront
- 21:28and engage. The thumb is the reason why we
- 21:33have rockets in space if you're an anthropologist.
- 21:38So it's our willpower, our drive.
- 21:41The more that you activate that part of your nervous system over
- 21:46and over and over, you are generating cortisol and
- 21:50adrenaline pathways that ultimately signal the nervous
- 21:56system over and over to create tension patterns within the
- 22:01skin. And ultimately from the thumb
- 22:04leading all the way to the middle finger.
- 22:06Or if you have a relationship problem, the thumb leading all
- 22:09the way over to the little finger.
- 22:11Or if you have a problem trying to be seen and a fear of
- 22:16exposure, a line going from your thumb going to your ring finger.
- 22:21Those things if or you're going to a divorce as you are stuck in
- 22:25a stress pattern, you get these horizontal lines as you learn
- 22:31what it is and you understand the emotion around it.
- 22:37The amygdala stops tagging it as a threat and it begins to finish
- 22:46its processing. And now that you've said what is
- 22:51unsaid, which is largely going, well, I thought I resolved that,
- 22:55but I guess I really have some feelings now that you mentioned
- 22:57about it. And you feel what you're
- 23:00feeling. It comes out on your face.
- 23:04Most of the trauma that you have from chronic stress, just stuff
- 23:11that just never got on your face.
- 23:13It got into a shocking response and got suppressed and you lost
- 23:17the words to deal with it. So when you find the words and
- 23:23the feeling you your brain processes a sense of meaning and
- 23:29you're saying well this is an injustice, but instead of being
- 23:32triggered by I can now master it.
- 23:33Today I'm a human being, I'm learning.
- 23:36Then the amygdala in your brain no longer sees it as a threat
- 23:44and a very long standing aging stress pattern is released in
- 23:52your face, now looks relieved and begins to regenerate into
- 23:58youthfulness. And you look about five years
- 24:01younger to 10 years younger, depending on how many I'm
- 24:06letting you go, letting you release.
- 24:10And then you move into a life that's no longer blocked by that
- 24:14because you've been avoiding it for years because you don't even
- 24:17like the topic of talking about that confrontation or talking to
- 24:20your dad. And then I invite you to go talk
- 24:22to your dad and say I've now see something and I would like to
- 24:26move through this. Well, that takes a lot of
- 24:29courage. So yeah, the lines come and go.
- 24:35So those horizontal lines are there to for your nervous system
- 24:43to keep the biological memory that you have unfinished
- 24:47business in the same way that when you have 10 things, you put
- 24:51nine of them on the back burner. Where do you think those
- 24:54memories and the feelings of those memories go?
- 24:57But in your nervous system, some of them aren't pleasant.
- 25:01So the more that you can get out, the more released you are,
- 25:05the more freer you are, the more empowered you are.
- 25:09So according to Doctor Carol Dweck, we have two parts.
- 25:13We have parts that are constantly growing called a
- 25:16growth mindset that says I'm happy.
- 25:17I'm living a life of vision. That's all Tony Robbins it I can
- 25:22believe. If I believe it, I can do it.
- 25:24Go listen to him and you're going to be in a growth mindset
- 25:27while being sabotaged quietly by all your resignation and all of
- 25:33your biology that says you have no idea the problems I have.
- 25:37And I keep sabotaging. I keep saying I'm going to do
- 25:39it, but I'm not waking up and I and working out and I can't talk
- 25:43to these people because they just trigger me and on and on.
- 25:46That is a biological destiny called a fixed mindset.
- 25:50And most of the people, even though Switzerland is a very
- 25:52happy place, right? Most people are about 80% in a
- 25:57fixed mindset. That's very, very neurologically
- 26:00depressing, suppressing, oppressing, habitual.
- 26:03You do anything, according to Joe Dispenza, for more than six
- 26:06months, you call the temperament.
- 26:08And then after a couple years, you, we no longer call it a
- 26:11phase you're going through. We call it you.
- 26:15It's you. And you go to your high school
- 26:18reunion, you see that that person is still in the same
- 26:21chronic problem. That's him.
- 26:26So being able to understand that problem and being able to
- 26:29release it and understand that that's an area that requires
- 26:32both a release and growth. It's not enough to know about it
- 26:36or read a book about it or attend a seminar.
- 26:38You must go through an experience.
- 26:42And that is the growth pattern that we see.
- 26:44We have a growth and a fixed. And I can get people down to a
- 26:47healthy 25% of the fixed pattern because I'm not going to get rid
- 26:51of pain and stress because we like it, but it should not be
- 26:5670%. And to the people that do that,
- 26:59they tend to look increasingly more lively and more happens in
- 27:04that year than that it happened the 10 years before.
- 27:10And how can people change fast? That's what we all want.
- 27:18So it's done through compassion first, right?
- 27:23So what most people are doing vision boards and I, I like the
- 27:28vision board. I've been honing this thing
- 27:30called the vision board for a while in order to find the right
- 27:33way to express your mind, body and spirit and soul in those
- 27:36four areas. But I don't get people to do a
- 27:39vision board first because it's going to be hit with a lot of
- 27:46resignation and incongruent energy within your nervous
- 27:51system going, yeah, I'd love to be able to, you know, have 10
- 27:53clients, but I also need to call them.
- 27:56And I don't like that aspect, but I like, I'll just match the
- 27:59law of attraction of 10 clients. That's what the vision board
- 28:02does, but it doesn't allow you to get operationally effective.
- 28:08So you have to deal with your stuff.
- 28:11So the way that I do it is, it's called a shift.
- 28:17And I help you understand first all the times that you were
- 28:22awesome and your health and your relationships, even though he
- 28:30cheated on you and your career, even though they fired you, even
- 28:35though you're learning, even though you don't play the piano
- 28:38anymore. So you understand first that you
- 28:41can grow in these areas. Maybe you don't want to grow in
- 28:47algebra today, but you have grown in algebra, right?
- 28:52So I have to first help you understand that you have a
- 28:56mindset that is growing if you just honor it, get out of the
- 29:00way. The second is I need to help you
- 29:02understand the inherited destiny that you are carrying from your
- 29:12ancestors. When I'm reading your
- 29:15fingerprints, recall that I said they happened at 7 weeks and
- 29:19they create a pattern that says I'm not enough.
- 29:21For example, in a relationship most people try to do inner
- 29:25child work and they go well I just remember how I was in 3rd
- 29:28grade and I remember and I healed that person.
- 29:32Not a chance. Sorry it doesn't work that way.
- 29:37It helps. I I'm guarantee you it helps.
- 29:39I'm not dismissing family constellation all that, that's
- 29:43really important, but you've only got gone 50% of the way the
- 29:51the history. 50% the other one. The other 50 is what happened
- 29:56when you were in the womb and what happened in the three
- 30:01generations before you. If you look at a mouse and you
- 30:08see and you separate that mouse from the OR a baby mouse that
- 30:14has a baby mouse, it creates a shock so strong within that baby
- 30:19mouse. It's like a heroin addict that
- 30:21no longer has an heroin. It's such a withdrawal that it
- 30:25shocks the body so deep that when that baby mouse finally
- 30:30grows up, it says, you know what?
- 30:32You know this whole thing, mother child thing is painful.
- 30:35It goes in and has a child or a baby mouse, and that mouse does
- 30:40not bond with the mother at all. And it continues for three
- 30:43generations until you give it enough of the positivity in the
- 30:48culture, but it still takes 3 generations for that mouse to
- 30:51begin bonding again with them. With the mother.
- 30:55You have a whole history of shocking moments, whether your
- 31:00grandparents were had their chicken farm burned down and now
- 31:05they have to figure out how to feed 5 kids or World War 2.
- 31:10Those things are stored as shocking moments within the time
- 31:15when you were still in your grandmother as an egg and your
- 31:20mother and your mother. And that just somehow that gets
- 31:23biologically carried out through both the sperm and through the
- 31:27egg, and they carry these signals that are still survival
- 31:31signals until you get that at that level, you're only still
- 31:36scratching the surface. So you must be able to
- 31:39understand in the way that I said, say, what was the
- 31:44ancestral pattern of pain and make that pain OK of what they
- 31:50went through without needing to fix it, not rushing to find a
- 31:55solution. So if you come from a whole
- 31:58family that can't make money, I'm not saying immediately jump
- 32:03in and make money. I'm saying first get connected
- 32:07to the compact compassionately to what they went through and
- 32:10make what they went through OK. Don't make them a victim.
- 32:14Make the feelings of what they have OK, because you're carrying
- 32:18them today. You have, if you make them a
- 32:20victim, you're carrying a victim mindset.
- 32:22So you need to be able to make them the feelings of what they
- 32:25went in the pain, even if they went through Auschwitz, the
- 32:28feeling has to be OK, even if it's sad and terror, OK.
- 32:35And then understand what was the need that was met and honor that
- 32:39need. That is a whole shadow board and
- 32:42they're literally putting pictures of everything of their
- 32:45grandparents and everything for half the board.
- 32:48Then they start with the time that they're born and then they
- 32:51show me the stress patterns. Then we can release it, but not
- 32:54until then. Because trying to trying to
- 32:57release you from a stress pattern you were born with while
- 33:00you're doing inner child work about, about what happened is
- 33:06only showing that you have healed a, a representation or
- 33:10the reaction of a pattern, but not the root cause.
- 33:15And you need to honor that 'cause those feelings or that
- 33:19amygdala that you have is going to be there tomorrow still
- 33:22trying to tell you it's dangerous out there with money.
- 33:26And so out of that, you need to retrain it going.
- 33:29I get it's dangerous, but it's not really as dangerous as
- 33:32Auschwitz anymore. OK, so can we just chill out?
- 33:35And then that gives you the meaning of your life to now
- 33:40create a vision board that you have earned from honoring the
- 33:45needs. So it's not just a bunch of law
- 33:47of attraction stuff. It's a it's a generational
- 33:51process that you're going through that finally says, I'm
- 33:54now ready to meet these needs. And if you feel like you have
- 33:59really earned it, then if you desired enough, it will come
- 34:03naturally. How many generations are you
- 34:06going back normally? Three, OK, if you can go. 3,
- 34:12awesome. Some people don't even know
- 34:13their father, so they just have to locate it and going well.
- 34:17As far as I know, they were in Czechoslovakia and he was a
- 34:20bartender. That's all I got.
- 34:22OK, so that's you. Do the best what you can.
- 34:30Very interesting. And what would you tell our
- 34:36audience, our listeners, how to get away from this fear based
- 34:47being to a more loving and trusting being?
- 34:53So great question, it's a complex answer.
- 35:00First off, you knowing my fear pattern did not help necessarily
- 35:05at first when I understood it. Help me judge everybody, Help me
- 35:09judge my wife a lot better because I was judging her
- 35:14because I could see her in her fingerprints and she's just
- 35:16running the same fear pattern that I see.
- 35:18That does not make it easier. In fact, being a hand reader is
- 35:22really tough because you're seeing the pattern and you get
- 35:26so judgmental going. Guys, I've just told you just
- 35:29knock it off right? So but that never the mental
- 35:33never shifts anybody. So to move fully through the
- 35:39fear pattern is a is a place of courage.
- 35:43So I asked people to go on a hero's journey, right follow
- 35:48what is Joseph Campbell did who surveyed 2000 cultures and he's
- 35:54hero with 1000 faces and he said, look, every culture has an
- 35:58initiation. Are you ready for an initiation
- 36:01today? So once you understand what your
- 36:06avoidance pattern is in your fingerprints, does that mean
- 36:11that you're going to stop avoiding it?
- 36:12No, you just understand you avoid it.
- 36:14You can still going to avoid it. So what you do in order to
- 36:19breakthrough your avoidance pattern to be I had an avoidance
- 36:22pattern of being a hand reader. OK, I had an avoidance pattern
- 36:26working with people and sending them an invoice invoice.
- 36:29I thought that was the most terrifying thing is I could
- 36:31talk, but asking them now can you pay?
- 36:35That's right in my fingerprints and telling me that I have that
- 36:38makes it worse. So what causes people to make
- 36:42the breakthrough is compassionately looking into the
- 36:46fear and listening in the same way to the fear making the fear.
- 36:51OK, thank you for sharing. And we got work to do.
- 36:56We have to be masters now. We're not going to be victims of
- 37:00it. So as a master, I have taxes to
- 37:02do. Master them.
- 37:05Grow up. Grow up through that pain.
- 37:10So in the hero's journey, I, once I identify your pattern,
- 37:14you come up with a vision and you're going to also see all the
- 37:17things you're going to avoid that you don't want to do, but
- 37:19you're going to have to do if you're going to get that vision.
- 37:22It's Achilles heel until you don't.
- 37:24And you'll be only able to manifest a nickel's worth of
- 37:27manifestation until you deal with that fear.
- 37:31So in order to do that, you create a vision of you creating
- 37:35mastery over that fear and I make you accountable to it.
- 37:39So first we get you a good in your body.
- 37:44We make sure that you are operating the highest amount of
- 37:46dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin. We make sure that you are
- 37:51neurologically in abundance. You do that by making yourself
- 37:57happy with gratitude, with exercise, with being able to
- 38:04wake up in structuring your life so that there's consequence and
- 38:09you have a beginning and an end to the day and to when you're
- 38:11going to stop having these problems and honor your evening
- 38:16and go for a walk and make sure you're running and and those
- 38:18things. OK, Then then you go into the
- 38:23relationship and you have crucial conversations with
- 38:27people that you don't want to have, but you know you need to
- 38:29have. And as you do, that's called the
- 38:34trial period of Joseph Campbell's hero's journey.
- 38:37And you begin to reinvent your life in each trial that you go
- 38:41through. You're like, actually I feel so
- 38:43relieved. I see as I lead this group of
- 38:47people of heroes, when somebody has done that because they show
- 38:51up on the on our Zoom session as bright as a Daisy after they've
- 38:57done it. It's so neurologically it is an
- 38:59incredible healthy, happy place. And afterwards I see them
- 39:04manifest their dreams and all the people that hem and Haw not
- 39:08having a conversation with somebody that they're shut down
- 39:11with or going into an area they have shut down.
- 39:15No progress. So you got to be able to face it
- 39:19with kindness. And you, we can do it in stages.
- 39:24So you go through it and then you might do baby steps and then
- 39:27you face the fear and you keep going and you make sure you're
- 39:31doing at least an hour of eating that frog every day.
- 39:35And doing that every day begins to open up that area.
- 39:38So it's no longer an avoidance pattern.
- 39:40I'm not shy to say that I'm an internationally successful hand
- 39:45reader, but I had to go through a hell of a lot of fear to go to
- 39:50be that place. I had to go through an addiction
- 39:53pattern of self soothing myself with whiskey because it works.
- 39:58It's like, great, I'll just have a whiskey.
- 40:00It doesn't work after a while so that basketball keeps dropping,
- 40:03but it worked. It worked to be able to handle
- 40:06the the bills. It just made me terrible in my
- 40:08energy the next day and the next day after that.
- 40:11So I was like OK well that does not going to work.
- 40:13So I had to face that anxiety and I had to own it.
- 40:18But The thing is, the more that you're able to go in gratitude
- 40:21and then build evidence with pictures and build up a photo
- 40:27album of the month of all the things that you have
- 40:29accomplished. What it does is it reinforces
- 40:34the neural pathways of agency and mastery so that when the
- 40:40opportunity to come, to avoid that same thing comes, you don't
- 40:44go into what is called the low Rd. of anxiety.
- 40:47You go into the High Road of mastery.
- 40:49And that's what I'm training, Confidence.
- 40:55Beautiful Brent, what are you parting words for our audience?
- 41:02Well, if you're interested in getting a hand analysis, go to
- 41:05www.thepowerinyourhands.com. You'll see it's all
- 41:11neurological. So if you're skeptical mind
- 41:13wants to read about it, read my page and book a hand reading
- 41:17session. And in that I'll give you an
- 41:22hour and a half plus leave you with a diagram.
- 41:25I'll ask you to send photos of your hands out in the sun where
- 41:28I can see your fingerprints clearly, because we don't need
- 41:31handprint paper anymore. iPhones do great jobs.
- 41:35So you just say, give me a few close-ups of your fingers and
- 41:39the full shape of your hand and your face so I can show you what
- 41:43your face looks like after I make an hour and a half worth of
- 41:47progress, just to give you a sense of what I can do.
- 41:51And then if your face starts to change and you understand that
- 41:54you have only scratched the surface, try to shift.
- 41:58And then the shift is 1500. And yes, I've earned that 1500.
- 42:03And you will see where that 1500 goes because you're investing
- 42:08probably in 1500 and other things.
- 42:10And those things will not shift your life.
- 42:12But they're really fun, aren't they?
- 42:14You know, all those mind Valley classes, they're great and
- 42:18they're really improving and making you a better at whatever
- 42:20you're going to do. And one day you're going to be
- 42:22ready for it, but it doesn't shift your life pattern.
- 42:26So when you're ready to evolve faster, do the shift and then do
- 42:32the hero's journey. If if you're ready for me to
- 42:35have me with a kicking your ass for three months going, go do
- 42:39it. You're amazing.
- 42:40You're just amazing. You don't understand your
- 42:41potential ten extra stuff. That's the hero's journey.
- 42:47Wonderful friend. So thank you so much for
- 42:51sharing. Just a little bit.
- 42:54I think we scratch the surface only but we could go on talking
- 42:59for hours about all this hands and shifts so but thank you so
- 43:05much. You're welcome.
- 43:07And I'll see you guys at either Tony Robbins or Biohackers or
- 43:11I'm always at Longevity event. So come by my booth and say you
- 43:15heard the podcast and that's awesome.
- 43:20I'll give you a discount. And thank you, dear listener,
- 43:24for spending your precious time with us.
- 43:27You're amazing and you are a gift to everyone who crosses
- 43:32your path. If no one has told you this
- 43:35today, let me say it again. You are worthy, you deserve to
- 43:41be loved, and you matter. Have an amazing day and I'll
- 43:46talk to you next Thursday.
