- 0:04SPEAKER_01: We're sorry about the noise, y'all, but the apartment above his is being worked on.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if you can hear that,
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: they are hammering away in the kitchen right above,
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: like the kitchen's behind me,
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: and they're hammering away in the kitchen in the apartment above me,
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: so that's what you get to listen to today.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: You're so lucky.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: That sounds like a good kind of story.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: This is The Opinionated Ogre Podcast,
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: your weekly rampage to current events with a little snark,
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: a bit of foul language, and a lot of strong opinions.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: There are new episodes every Thursday,
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: and they're not safe for work or polite company of any kind whatsoever.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: I am your podcast host, The Opinionated Ogre, and this is my co-host, Florida Woman.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Hello, Florida Woman.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: Good morning, everybody.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: So I have to know,
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: are you good and properly terrified of the dreaded communist revolution,
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: revolution, communism, that's taking over the Democratic Party?
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: If it means that potholes are going to get fixed in my streets
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: and maybe there won't be food deserts, I don't think so.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: But communism, communism.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: No, you know.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: You're not afraid of communism?
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Always some kind of ism.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: I know, Jesus Christ.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: It's just, I was talking to my stepmother-in-law, Mrs. Ogre's stepmother.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: That's the non-Trumpy one.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: And she was talking about, well, I don't know about these democratic social people.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: And I was like, oh, Jesus, here we go.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: So we had a 20-minute conversation about that.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: And it's like...
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: It's a whole thing because one of them went on Fox News and talking
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: about how they're going to get rid of the Supreme Court and they're going to get rid
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: of the Senate.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: And I was like, I feel like that's not exactly how the conversation went.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: I have to go watch the interview and I don't know who this person is.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: She's supposed to be one of the national chairs.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yeah, but she's not a Democrat.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: So who cares what she has to say?
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Anyone can be a democratic socialist.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: It doesn't mean she gets to tell them what to do.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: She's not in charge of Zoran Mamdani.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: Wait, she was talking about the person from
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: New York?
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Megan Romer, I
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: think her name is.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, you know.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, not that other one.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: That other one's like...
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, she's got some issues.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: But it's like some of them are assholes.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: Some of them are not.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: A lot of them are not.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: So it's like just,
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: just they're going to they're going to look for the craziest people and tell you.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: Amplify them.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: That's what they always do.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: And why are they doing that?
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Because that's the point.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: That is the entire point of it.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: It's like maybe maybe not, you know, rely on the word of Fox News.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, that interview.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: And that's also how AOC got so powerful her first year.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: And I love AOC.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: But, you know,
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: when she was a first year freshman congressman,
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: she didn't have that much power or congresswoman.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: She didn't have that much power.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: But listening to Fox News, you would have thought that she was Nancy Pelosi.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: They just kept screaming.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: She's, oh, my God, she's the face of these entire Democratic Party.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: It's like, well, she's not.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: But, you know, she was smart enough to capitalize on it and did something good with it.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: It was like, well, good for you.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Brilliant.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: This is the recording for July 30th,
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: 2026, and we have a lot to get to on episode 107 of the Ockpod.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: We ready to do this?
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Woo!
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Then let's get to it.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: It's time for the Ogre Nation news update.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: Roar!
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: So once upon a time,
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: the Republican Party was really,
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: really, really mad at President Obama for weaponizing the IRS.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: They claimed the 44th president ordered the agency
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: to target conservative organizations for increased scrutiny.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: After many hearings and lots of screaming in the press,
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: the Treasury Department's Inspector General,
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: during Trump's first term,
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: released a report that revealed the Obama IRS used both Democratic
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: and Republican-related keywords to target political organizations on both sides of
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: the aisle for further scrutiny.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: Because he didn't think that, you know, political groups should be breaking the tax law.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: So scary.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Then there was the whole Russian scandal.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: After years of investigations,
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: including a special counsel ordered by President Trump 1.0 and carried out
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: by Robert Mueller,
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: evidence showed the allegation that the Obama admin led
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: a political witch hunt turned out to be a big old lie as well.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: No.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: So obviously when we learned this week that the Trump regime is targeting states
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: that voted for Kamala Harris, we weren't surprised at all.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: After all, as we always say, every Republican accusation is a confession.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: Every single time.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: And actually there was a real confession this time in a July 15th filing in
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: a class action lawsuit that was challenging the Trump regime's cuts
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: to clean energy projects.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: So you might recall,
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: but last year,
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: Trump's Department of Energy sent a list of 624 grants to the Office of Management
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: and Budget, which is headed by, what is his name?
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Russell Vogt.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: Russell Vogt,
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: one of the writers of the Project 2025 blueprint for destroying our
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: fucking country.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: He is a true piece of shit.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: True piece of shit.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: So they sent a list of 624 grants to that guy.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: And recommended that they be canceled because they were four recipients in states
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: where Kamala Harris won in 2024.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Almost 300 of those grants were later terminated.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: So in the July filing,
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: the Department of Energy said it, quote,
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: accepts that the inclusion of grants in the October notice tranche was based solely
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: on the political identity of the grant recipient state, i.e.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: whether the recipient's location and or place of performance was in a blue state or
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: a non-blue state.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: That's just amazing.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: I just love how they just say it out loud because- Why not?
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Who cares?
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Who's going to do something about it?
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: They always say the quiet part out loud.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: Jeff Novak,
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: the agency's Principal Deputy General Counsel,
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: verified that with one exception, Quote,
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: the 284 terminated grants had a recipient location and or at least one place
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: of performance in a state that awarded its electoral votes to Kamala Harris in
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: the 2024 election and has two Democratic caucusing senators.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: Now, we would like you to take note of the silence from the media about this.
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: Sure, it was on their websites,
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: but there was no wall-to-wall coverage of it on cable news network like there was
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: the IRS scandal.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Yep, that went on for months.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: I mean, Dr. Fauci is testifying today about COVID.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: Right now, as we speak, he's in the Senate testifying.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: It's been five fucking years.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: And every time I open up my phone, guess what I see?
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: Dr. Fauci testifying in the Senate.
- 7:56SPEAKER_01: And in fact,
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: I would wager that Obama's tan suit received more coverage than Trump weaponizing
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: the government against blue states.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: Instead of focusing on the actual weaponization,
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: the main story over the weekend was about Trump's sad performance at
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: the White House Correspondents' Dinner,
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: which I don't know about you, but I didn't even know that it was happening again.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I didn't know it happened until after it was done.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: Until after there was wall-to-wall coverage about it.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: Not the weaponization of the U.S. government against blue states.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: Not the federal government attacking states.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: Like openly declaring economic warfare on half of the country.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: It was about Donald Trump's speech at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: Like, guess what, guys?
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: That guy talks all the time.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: We don't give a fuck.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: As Marshawn Lynch once said, that motherfucker says a lot of shit.
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: So you know who else is being super, super quiet?
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: Ogre's favorite free speech crusaders, Matt Taibbi and Glenn Greenwald.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Wait, you mean the greatest crusaders against anti-government corruption in all
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: of American history?
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, not a peep.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, wow.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: That's so weird.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: Now, in an ordinary political climate, this would be the main story for weeks.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: We wouldn't be able to escape this story.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: It would be on every single news screen.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: It would be in the newspapers.
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: It would be the front page.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: It would be constant.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but not in this America.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: In this America,
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: attacking Democrats for nothing burgers is way more profitable than calling out
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: the actual weaponization of the federal government.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: As we always say, Republicans are not held to a lower standard.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: They are held to no standard at all.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: It's un-fucking-believable with these people.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: Now, as we enter the sixth month,
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: six months,
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: Fucking months of Trump's two-week war,
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: which is illegal,
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: unnecessary,
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: unwanted, and still going five months and two weeks after we fucking lost it.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: We were on our third or fourth or tenth pause in hostilities,
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: but that ended yesterday when Iran launched a bunch of missiles at American forces
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: and we responded.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: I had a joke about not knowing how many ceasefires and pauses that we've had,
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: but it was like a whole little bit ahead,
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: but it kind of seems pointless at the moment.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: So I'll save it for the fifth or sixth or maybe seventh ceasefire or pause,
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: which will come in the next week or so.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: Who fucking knows?
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: I saw a joke that said nobody's ever won as many wars as Donald Trump.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: How many times has he beaten Iran?
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: Like 40, 50 times now.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think Hunter Biden made a joke about that.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: It's like he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: He's ended the war with Iran more than anyone else,
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: more wars with Iran than anyone has ever had in all of history.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: That's exactly what it was.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: That's who said it.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: On our side,
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: we wanted to stop bombing,
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: at least partially, because it's still not working, right?
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: We've been at this for months, and it's not working at all.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: Missiles and bombs are not enough to break the Iranian government.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: A full ground invasion might,
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: but that would cost trillions of dollars,
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: cost thousands,
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: and I mean thousands of American troops their lives, and it would take Years.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Like we're talking way longer than we were in Iraq and Afghanistan.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: But maybe if we were looking at another two years
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: of bombing them incessantly nonstop, the Iranian government might give in.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: But they're not looking at that.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: They've made it clear they're waiting for Democrats to win in November.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: And they're because they know that Democrats are going to going to apply
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: to Maximum pressure on Trump to stop his illegal war.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: Now, you may think to yourself,
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: I'm sure people on the right are going to say,
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: well, that sounds like Iran's using the war to influence our elections.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: I would like to remind those people that both Russia and Israel did the same thing
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: in 2024 to put Trump back into power so all of those people can go fuck themselves.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Now, a larger part of the war is that we no longer have We literally no longer have
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: the weapons to sustain an active campaign.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: The regime's blaming this on Biden,
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: but we weren't sending these kinds of long-range weapons to Ukraine,
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: and we weren't using them in any real capacity during Biden's time in office.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: Trump, however,
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: recklessly spent our long-range missiles like water in the first several weeks
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: of his two-week war,
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: The idea was so much shock and awe hitting 13,000 targets in rapid succession that
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: the Iranian government was
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: That didn't fucking work because it was never going to work.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: They've been preparing for this exact type of war for 50 plus years.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: So we blew our wad and now we can either keep lobbying missiles
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: and deplete our stock or maintain what we have in case war breaks out somewhere else
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: in this newly belligerent global disorder that Trump has created.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: Trump really, really wants to break Iran because...
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: He doesn't understand the meaning of the word no, which is why he's raped so many women.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: Allegedly.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: And he can't be seen to be a loser, right?
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Because he's a strong man.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: A strong man can't be a loser.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: But I guarantee even his most bloodthirsty generals...
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: And Lindsey Graham, who's dead now.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: But they're telling them how risky it is to go all in on a single war and blow all
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: of our missile stock when there's countries like China waiting
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: to do whatever they want to do,
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: knowing that we no longer have the capacity to step in and get in their way.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: We're going to see.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: On that note, Trump and Netanyahu...
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: Met for the first time since the war started a couple of days ago.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: And Netanyahu was the dick who talked Trump into starting the war in the first place.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: Did Trump abuse the shit out of him for lying and pressure and now he's trying
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: to pressure Israel to back down?
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: Don't be silly.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: Did Netanyahu convince the dying senior citizen with advanced dementia to escalate the war?
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: We don't know.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: No details have been released.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: The meeting was called Positive and protective, but that's all we know.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: And this is where I remind you that this is supposed to be the most transparent government ever.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Yep, totally true.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: Isn't it interesting how the other presidents before him would provide readouts
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: from these meetings?
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, or just have them semi-public or have cameras.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: But nothing, right?
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: We don't get to know anything that they're saying to each other
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: because Trump's incoherent and he doesn't want to seem like a fucking drooling idiot
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: in front of everybody else.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Now, way back in March on episode 89,
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: we talked about how Russia was supplying Iran with satellite imagery
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: because it was supposed to be this huge scandal.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: Well, that's back in the news again because Ukraine has definitive proof of it.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: But again, This is not a scandal in and of itself.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: This is what we talked about back in March.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Russia and Iran have been military allies pretty much my entire life.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: This is going back to the 70s.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: Of course they're going to provide Iran with tactical aid.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: That's not the question here.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: The real scandal is that Donald Trump continues to lick Trump.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: Putin's boots while Putin is directly helping get American troops killed.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: That's the problem.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: Here's the question.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: How much longer is Trump going to be able to keep licking those Russian jackboots?
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: Dead Americans are extremely unpopular with Americans, I know, it's so fucking weird.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: And knowing Russia's directly responsible
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: for getting help getting them killed is going to make Russia really,
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: really unpopular with the murk crowd, right?
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: You know, even the ones who lap up tons and tons of Kremlin propaganda.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: What's going to happen there?
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Especially since Russian money doesn't go nearly as far as it used to.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: This is something we're going to discuss later in headlines.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: Trump doesn't like to be associated with losers and this war,
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: like Russia's losing their war and our war is dragging Trump down.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: How much more negative attention can he take?
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: Speaking of negative attention,
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: one last bit of vileness from this fucking disgusting trash heap of regime.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: Last week we talked about how the Pentagon was hiding the number of wounded from
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: the public and lying about it when caught.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: They managed to make it worse.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: They escalated in the most disgusting way possible.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: They started to fudge the number of service members killed.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: They reduced it from 18 to 14.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: And the lie behind this was that the ceasefire was in place, so it didn't count.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: Their families would beg to differ.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: And after being caught like no one was going to notice this and
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: the public screaming bloody murder about it,
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: the Pentagon changed the number back to 18.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: But then they dropped it back down to 14 because
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: the four most recent deaths were overseas actions instead of having something to do
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: with Trump's illegal idiot war.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: And it's hard to describe just how fucking repulsive this is.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: The idea that they're playing semantics with the dead just to protect Trump's ego is
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: about as offensive as it gets.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: Like we talked about last week,
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: when there's a sane person who doesn't shit in the diaper and their president
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: in 2029, everyone involved in this has to be fired.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: The military has to be purged of all the people who bent the knee to this moral rot.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: They cannot be kept in positions.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: It cannot be.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: They had a choice and they chose wrong,
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: which means they are no longer worthy to wear the fucking uniform
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: and represent this country.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: They can just all fuck off into the sun and that is it for them.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Let us move on to our favorite, favorite segment.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: I scream, you scream.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: We all scream because of fucking ice.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: I shouldn't laugh, but I always do every time.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: So a few days after ICE agents murdered Lorenzo Silgado Araujo in Houston,
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: the Department of Homeland Security attempted to smear the father of three.
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: The federal government released information about the FBI seeking a search warrant
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: to seize plastic bags that contained crystal-like substances on the dashboard
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: of his van.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: And they released pictures of the crystal-like substance, too.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: And it didn't.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: Shocking.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: Predictably, it was nonsense.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: On Friday,
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: the office of Harris County District Attorney Sean Tear revealed the tests on
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: the substances in a row hose van were negative for narcotics.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: Further, the DA notified the victim's family because they felt it was the right thing to do.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Ooh, fucking ICE must be so fucking mad about that.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: I'm surprised they're not trying to,
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: like, arrest people for interfering with a federal investigation.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: Blah, blah, Well, David Donati,
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: an ACLU lawyer representing the victim's family,
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: told the media that the Trump regime was,
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: quote, more interested in creating a false narrative than seeking the truth.
- 20:43SPEAKER_01: He went on to say, quote, the search has now proven that the Salgado family...
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: What the Salgado family has said all along,
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: Lorenzo was a hardworking man who made homes for Houston families.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: Now, you said there's pictures?
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: There are.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: And the family said that the substance was like an electrolyte, a homemade electrolyte thing.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: It was lemon with salt,
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: which makes sense because I don't know if any of you have been to Houston.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: I have.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: It's very, very hot.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: It's just like Florida.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: So when you're working on houses, you're sweating a lot.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: And one of the problems when you're sweating a lot is that you're losing your electrolytes.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: And if you lose too much salt, even if you're drinking water, you're going to be dehydrated.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: So they would make their own homemade electrolyte solution so they wouldn't become dehydrated.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: So basically,
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: I wrote in the notes that if it turns out to be sugar or salt packets or something,
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: so obviously not drug, and it turns out it literally was sugar and salt.
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: Yes, exactly.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: That's really fucking impressive.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: Which means these guys knew they were not looking at fucking crystal meth.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: I have not had a lot of experience with hard drugs.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: I don't know what crystal meth looks like.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: I've only watched Breaking Bad.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: Don't know how accurate it is.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: I feel like if I was in law enforcement though,
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: I would be able to tell the difference between sugar and salt and fucking meth.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: I feel like I would have some idea that there was a difference.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: But let's say I'm still really bad at my job.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: I still feel like I would probably test it before I opened my fucking mouth about it.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: And they knew,
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: they knew this guy probably didn't have bags of fucking crystal meth sitting
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: on his dashboard.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: But they had to say it anyway.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: So when...
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: All this is done,
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: and again,
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: we have real fucking people in office,
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: and we have real fucking serious people running our fucking law enforcement.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: Again, everyone involved has to be removed and brought up on fraud charges.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Examples have to be fucking made that we will no longer tolerate this kind
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: of bullshit from law enforcement.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: No more sprinkle crack on the dead guy and hope no one looks too closely.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: None of this shit.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: That's got to fucking end.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Nuremberg them all.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: Nuremberg them all.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: Nuremberg them all.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: Now, Juan Jairo Coronilla Duran was killed the same week as Araujo,
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: and he was in a vehicle that was surrounded by ICE agents in St. Augustine, Florida.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Terrified of the mass armed agents surrounding the vehicle that he was in,
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: the 28-year-old tried to run, and he was struck by a semi-truck, and he died.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: And remember we told you that the semi-truck driver got out of his vehicle
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: and performed aid on the victim.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Right, while the ICE agents just sit there and were like, yeah, whatever, who gives a shit.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: We're now learning that the deceased victim was not an undocumented immigrant
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: who was fleeing ICE agents like the DHS narrative would have me believe.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: Instead, he was a visitor to the U.S. on a valid tourist visa.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: Coronio Duran had traveled to Atlanta from Mexico to visit his family.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: He stayed in Georgia for three weeks.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: Then he went to Florida to visit the beaches because Florida has nice beaches,
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: even though the rest of the state's a hellhole.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: Sorry, you live there, but you know this.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: St. Augustine is the oldest town in the United States, and it's a hotspot for tourists.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: Instead of visiting the beaches and historic buildings,
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: this guy died in the middle of a busy street.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: But why did he run if he was here legally and hasn't broken any laws?
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: He should have obeyed the officers and he should have complied.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: Why did he act like a criminal?
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: Because ICE doesn't give a fuck.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: They don't fucking care.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: Stephen Miller's Gestapo does not obey the law.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: They don't respect civil rights or human rights.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: It's a white nationalist death squad whose mandate is to terrorize brown people.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: They hunt, kidnap, and disappear anyone they want.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: And the people, they do not disappear.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: They either beat to a pulp or kill,
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: and then they lie about being attacked because they know for
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: a fact they will never face fucking accountability.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: Everyone knows this.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: We see it on the news every single day.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: The entire world sees it.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: They know we have roaming mass death squads like any number of third world shitholes
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: that are being run by scared little men clinging to power.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: In what universe would Koronea Duran not run from literal bloodthirsty Nazis?
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: Why would he ever trust them not to kill him or disappear him into
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: a concentration camp to collect a bounty or illegally dump him in another country
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: where he would be tortured for money?
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: The only sane response is to run or stand your ground
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: against unidentified masked men and open fire because who knows who they really are.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: Now, am I advocating for shooting federal officers?
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: No, I'm advocating for the people to use the twisted Second Amendment rights and
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: the laws that Republicans have forced the rest of us to live with.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: May you and yours be the victims of policies and don't come fucking crying to me
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: about it, you little puttas.
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: Let me just say that, so yesterday my husband came home and he was kind of irritated, right?
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: And he was like, hey,
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: I need you to check the car insurance because we had accidentally put it for
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: the wrong bank account when we bought it because we bought new insurance
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: because our old insurance was too expensive.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: He's like,
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: I need you to make sure that it's coming out of the right account
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: because I don't want to get pulled over and murdered by fucking ICE.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: And I was like, yikes.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: Okay, babe, let me go do it.
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: But that is the reality of living in this country right now or visiting this country
- 26:56SPEAKER_01: as an immigrant.
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: You're taking your life with your hands just by being here
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: because they're fucking murdering death squads.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: They're racist murdering death squads.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: It is now time for headlines for short attention span.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: So Secretary Whaleblood claimed...
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: He claimed he wanted to make America healthy,
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: but it should come as no surprise that we couldn't take the dude who swims in feces
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: and snorts cocaine off of toilet seats seriously.
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: Last week,
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
- 27:31SPEAKER_01: the CDC, announced that there have been 2,318 recorded cases of measles this year.
- 27:38SPEAKER_01: The recorded part is important because we know that there are pockets of people
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: who don't report illnesses to the local health officials or even bother
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: to get tested, like the Amish, for example.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: And there's also people who don't even realize they have measles.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: Like if they have a mild case.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: Because, I mean, not for nothing, measles is not – well, it wasn't.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: Like it hasn't been a common disease in this country in decades.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: Most people don't recognize it when they have it.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: Like why would they?
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: I keep thinking about the scene from ER,
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: you know, 30 years ago where Noah Wiley's character was like, is that measles?
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: No, that can't be measles.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: It's been eradicated.
- 28:20SPEAKER_01: And now on the pit, it's like...
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: They did a whole episode where it was like, oh no, a measles case.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: It was just normal.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: So anyway, the new number exceeds the 2,200 cases that we saw last year.
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: That means the last two years of measles cases are more than what we saw from
- 28:39SPEAKER_01: the years 2000 to 2024 combined.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: That's fucking impressive.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: That's fucking impressive.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: Over two decades worth of disease, not having disease, just wiped out.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: Thanks, Republicans.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:53SPEAKER_01: Obviously,
- 28:54SPEAKER_01: the reduced vaccination rates are the reason for the skyrocketing cases,
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: like all of those crunchy moms who,
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: don't give their kids vaccines but take breast milk from each other on the internet
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: without getting it tested.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: But RFK Jr.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: has done nothing but fearmonger about vaccines,
- 29:10SPEAKER_01: which is not helping, especially with his HHS secretary.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: And it's unlikely that he's going to do a single thing to reverse course,
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: which means that more kids are going to get sick and die.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: And remember,
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: we previously mentioned a case where a child died like nine years
- 29:23SPEAKER_01: after he contracted the measles from an always
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: So none of this is particularly surprising.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: Unfortunately, it's playing out exactly as we predicted.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: And I don't know if I've ever mentioned this on the podcast.
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: I probably have, but it's been a while.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: I wrote back in 2017,
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: I think,
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: long before COVID popped up,
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: that when people were starting to ask about Baron Trump being autistic,
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: that we needed to not talk about that.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: Yes, I remember this.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: And the reason I said do not talk about this is because if we forced Donald Trump
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: To admit that his son was autistic,
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: he would never admit that it was like,
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: you know, because of genetics, something like that.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: He would blame it on vaccine.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: And my fear, and I was very explicit about this, is that...
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: If he blamed it on vaccine, it would give a huge boost to the anti-vaxxer movement.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: And if the rights picked up the anti-vaxxer torch, because they hadn't done that at the time.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: Back in 2017,
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: anti-vaxxerism was mostly a left-wing,
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: like a, you know, crunchy granola mom thing, right?
- 31:09SPEAKER_01: That was when crunchy granola moms were on our side.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was the crunchy granola moms on the left.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: They hadn't penetrated into the right yet.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, there was a little bit of it, but not much.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: And I was very, very explicit about this.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: If the right picks up anti-vaxxerism, they will realize exactly how potent a weapon it is.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: And they will go all in on it.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: And when COVID came around and they started talking about the COVID vaccine,
- 31:39SPEAKER_00: I was very, very explicit.
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: They're not going to stop with the COVID vaccine.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: They're going to generalize it to all vaccines because it's really, really potent.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: And not for nothing, Republicans are a fucking death cult.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: If they can get people sick and dying...
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: They will do it at every opportunity.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: And I'm surprised it hadn't occurred to them decades ago to go all in on anti-vaxxer.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: Here we are in 2026, and it's exactly what I was afraid of.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: It's exactly what I saw coming.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: Decade ago.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: And no one believed me.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: No one thought this would happen because what the fuck do I know, right?
- 32:18SPEAKER_00: I'm just some schmuck on the internet writing articles.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: I'm like, do you not understand who these fucking people are?
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: If their leaders tell them vaccines are bad,
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: they will stop taking vaccines and they will let their children die
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: because they don't care.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: Because they'll do it just to own the libs.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: Like we've we've told you stories about parents who lost one of their children and
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: then said it was God's will and I'm not going to vaccinate my other children.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: But really what they're saying is they're doing it to own the libs because
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: the libs say the liberal elite say vaccines are good.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: Therefore, I will not vaccinate my children.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: And if they all die, that's God's will.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: It's God's will.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: That's so weird.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: All right, let us move on.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: Hey, you may have noticed gas prices are on the rise again.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: I don't know why.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: Oh, wait, yes, I do.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: We're back at war with Iran and the Strait of Hormuz is closed again.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: So naturally,
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: the affordability has decided that the way to lower prices for
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: the American people is by making trade easy.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: Just kidding.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: Measles was roasting my brain.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: Instead of making life more affordable,
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: the dipshit squatting in the White House has decided to start his trade war again.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: Right before the midterms.
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: It's a nightmare scenario for the GOP because they're already dealing with
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: the ramifications of an unpopular in Iran,
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: dead American tourist members,
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: increased health care costs, gas prices, and so on and so on and so on.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: Mark Short,
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: Mike Pence's former chief of staff,
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: said, quote, this is going to be punishing for Republicans politically.
- 34:21SPEAKER_00: And he's right.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: A YouGov poll found that 46 26%
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: of respondents says Trump tariffs policies have increased prices a lot.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: And 26% said it's increased prices a little.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: So that's 72% of respondents who have admitted that Trump has made their lives more expensive.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: And we're still haven't gotten to all the really nasty stuff yet.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: I know we keep talking about this,
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: but man,
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: when it hits, you're going to be like, oh, that's what they've been talking about.
- 34:49SPEAKER_01: And we hope it doesn't happen.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: I mean, it'd be great if I would love to be wrong, right?
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, like I would love for the American economy to be robust enough
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: that it doesn't explode and we don't end up looking at a great recession to make
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: the last one look like a cakewalk.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: Great.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: Wonderful.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: Trump's still going to lose.
- 35:08SPEAKER_00: The Republicans are still going to lose.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: But millions of people wouldn't get tossed out of their jobs and lose their homes.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: That would be great.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: I would be the first to be like, Fuck yes, I was wrong.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: Booyah.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: But I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: Anyway, while Trump is busy fucking up the midterms for Republicans,
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: he's also taking aim at the 2028 election and helping us.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: He's an I'm sorry.
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: I don't know what the fuck.
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: He's announced that there will be 100% tariff on generic drugs imported
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: from overseas beginning in the summer of 2028,
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: meaning that he's going to cause drug prices to skyrocket right
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: before Americans head to the polls to elect the next president, who will not be J.D.
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: Vance, and it will not be.
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: I have no idea what's going through that corroded,
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: syphilitic, dimension-riddled mind of his, but sure, go for it.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: Have fun.
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: Well, we saw this coming a mile away.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: Last week,
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: Texas GOP Senator John Cornyn,
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: one of the senators that Trump pushed out of office,
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: or as we like to say,
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: a member of the YOLO caucus, decided he was going to get his liquor.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: Now remember,
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: we talked about the possibility
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: of these lawmakers using what little power they have left to mess with Trump.
- 36:22SPEAKER_01: It seems that's exactly what he did.
- 36:24SPEAKER_01: Cornyn told Semaphore that he intended to hold up the nominations of Carrie Lake
- 36:30SPEAKER_01: for Ambassador of Jamaica and Doug Mastriano as the Ambassador of Slovakia unless
- 36:38SPEAKER_01: the regime passed or released the money that was earmocked for
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: the President's Emergency Plan for Aid Relief, PEPFAR.
- 36:45SPEAKER_01: That's the program to battle AIDS across the globe.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: It was wildly popular when it was implemented by George W.
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: Bush and has received bipartisan support over the last two decades except for
- 36:58SPEAKER_01: from Trump 2.0.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: And just real quick here, George W. Bush, absolute fucking monster.
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: But some part of his brain really deeply understood that preventing the spread
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: of disease overseas meant not having to deal with it here.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: He was actually as bad as he was on so many other things.
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: That was one of the things he was actually like,
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: yeah, you know, blah, blah, blah, Republican this, Republican that.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: But if we keep that from happening,
- 37:31SPEAKER_00: if we keep it from happening there, that means we don't have to.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: Like he was good about that.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: He was good about that with Ebola and just general diseases in general.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: He put effort and money into keeping diseases from spreading in other countries
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: because he understood the concept that viruses do not care about borders.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: He was like, we'll stop the diseases.
- 37:54SPEAKER_00: We're going to still bomb those motherfuckers, though.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's so weird how,
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: because, I mean,
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: he was an idiot,
- 38:02SPEAKER_00: and yet somehow Republicans managed to get even stupider since then.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: The Republican Party just keeps getting dumber with each iteration,
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: which makes me really,
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: really worried about how fucking stupid they're going to be in 10 years.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: Like, we're going to be a full-scale idiocracy.
- 38:19SPEAKER_01: I think we're already there.
- 38:21SPEAKER_01: So Trump heeded Cornyn's warning and released the funding.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: I suppose that Cornyn deserves a little bit of credit for this,
- 38:28SPEAKER_01: but really he had no problem hurting people for years in the name of
- 38:31SPEAKER_01: the Republican Party, so fuck him.
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: And to be clear, this was $270 million dollars.
- 38:35SPEAKER_01: We can't afford to feed kids.
- 38:37SPEAKER_01: We can't afford to help senior citizens.
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: We can't afford to save millions of lives overseas.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: Man, we need that $1.5 trillion for the military.
- 39:07SPEAKER_01: Also, he's about to renovate the golf course in D.C. that the public uses.
- 39:12SPEAKER_01: And I heard that he might even try to cut down the cherry trees, which would be really bad.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: Anastasia asked me about that.
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: I haven't found anything to substantiate that.
- 39:22SPEAKER_01: No, I read a whole article about it two weeks ago from a major news organization.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that's a real thing?
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: You'll have to send me a link for that because she asked me about that like
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: a month ago and I couldn't find anything about it.
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think it's because he wants to redo the golf course so people are concerned
- 39:42SPEAKER_01: that he might cut down the cherry trees because he wants to make
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: a national championship level golf course.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, so he wants to make it not public anymore?
- 39:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm not really sure how that's going to work.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: All right, let us move on.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: We have a very important question that we really need an answer for.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: Is Mitch McConnell sucking Satan's dick in hell?
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: The real one, not Donald Trump?
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: Is he still alive and plotting how to dismantle our democracy?
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: It's hard to tell.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: What we do know is that the world-famous Supreme Court seat thief fell six weeks ago
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: and He has not been seen in public since.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: His team won't allow anyone to visit him in hospital,
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: although he has released two proof of life pictures that are extremely unconvincing
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: because his hair is the wrong color.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: He looks healthier than he did three months ago.
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: It's like that's not generally how people who are suffering from a severe injury in
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: a hospital, you don't generally look better.
- 40:40SPEAKER_01: Can I also just say,
- 40:41SPEAKER_01: if you have to,
- 40:42SPEAKER_01: if you have to release proof of life pictures,
- 40:45SPEAKER_01: like maybe that's just a problem in and of itself.
- 40:49SPEAKER_00: It's been suggested repeatedly because that he's suffering some kind of aphasia
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: where like he can't speak properly because he had a stroke or something happened
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: to him.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: Because if he was actually fine, he would have released a video.
- 41:03SPEAKER_00: He would have had,
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: like he would just would have had someone put a camera in front of him and say,
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: yeah, I'm fine.
- 41:09SPEAKER_00: I'm just recuperating.
- 41:10SPEAKER_00: I'm still having trouble with walking, but I'm still fine.
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: I'm still cognitively here.
- 41:15SPEAKER_00: If he was cognitively competent,
- 41:18SPEAKER_00: they would have released a video by now just to stop the speculation.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: And they haven't, which tells you there's something wrong with him.
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: And I mean, even if he had a stroke, it's not like we haven't been through that before.
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: Fetterman, we all rallied behind him.
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: So he could be like, hey, I had a stroke.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: I'm recovering.
- 41:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but he's 84 years old.
- 41:36SPEAKER_00: You generally don't recover that much of a stroke.
- 41:39SPEAKER_01: The fact that they're not releasing a video is really disturbing.
- 41:43SPEAKER_00: Now, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has repeatedly demanded to speak to the senator,
- 41:49SPEAKER_00: and they won't let him.
- 41:50SPEAKER_00: Again, that tells you something.
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: All they need to have is one Democrat walk in the room and say, hey, how you doing, Mitch?
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm fine.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, you good?
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: Food's good?
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: You're comfortable?
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: You're recovering?
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just have a five-minute conversation and walk back out and say, yeah, no, he can talk.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: He's fine.
- 42:07SPEAKER_00: He's, you know, He's frail, he's old, but he's 84.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: What do you want?
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: That's half of our Congress.
- 42:12SPEAKER_00: But they will not allow it.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: They will not allow it.
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: Now, he was supposed to attend a fancy farm event.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: It's a political event.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: It's very popular in Kentucky.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: He's been to it for the last 40 years.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: But he's not going this time.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: And we're a little sad about that because we were really hoping for a weekend
- 42:31SPEAKER_00: at Bernie's thing where they were just kind of moving his body around for him.
- 42:33SPEAKER_00: What are you going to do?
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: This whole thing is absolutely bullshit.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: Now, I'm of two minds of this.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: Now, originally,
- 42:39SPEAKER_00: I was thinking they should just call the special election because they can
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: and have voted in statewide Democrats, right?
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: Their governor is a Democrat.
- 42:53SPEAKER_00: On the other hand, they haven't had a Democratic senator since before I was alive.
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: So, or I think so.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: It's been decades.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: So maybe not.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: But at this point,
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: with Mitch McConnell out of the picture,
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: that's just one less vote that Republicans have in the Senate.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: Hi, Bob.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: If Mitch McConnell is going to be out of commission for the next four,
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: five, six months because he can't speak and they don't.
- 43:23SPEAKER_00: They don't want to say that,
- 43:24SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: he's incompetent or he's physically incapacitated or mentally incapacitated.
- 43:29SPEAKER_00: Great.
- 43:29SPEAKER_00: Fine.
- 43:30SPEAKER_00: He'll just be a blank seat that Republicans cannot use because you can't vote and not be there.
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: They made that very specific.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: He can't vote in absentia.
- 43:41SPEAKER_00: So now they're down to 52 votes.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, well.
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: So Trump has a real hard-on for the Smithsonian,
- 43:49SPEAKER_01: because he,
- 43:50SPEAKER_01: like all little fascists,
- 43:52SPEAKER_01: thinks it's really important to hide as much of the country's history as possible.
- 43:57SPEAKER_01: And after Republicans did his bidding and lost their collective shits over hats
- 44:01SPEAKER_01: that said, Latina power, right?
- 44:05SPEAKER_01: The Tin Pot Dictator in the White House signed an executive order requiring
- 44:09SPEAKER_01: the government to place new signage outside of the National Museum
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: of American History.
- 44:14SPEAKER_01: The executive order states that the signs, quote, shall notify visitors.
- 44:18SPEAKER_01: The report claimed the museum focused too much on injustices that happened
- 44:22SPEAKER_01: in America and not enough on its triumphs.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: Some of the displays that the regime takes issue with is a paper mache Statue
- 44:39SPEAKER_01: of Liberty carrying a basket of tomatoes and her arm is raised with a tomato
- 44:44SPEAKER_01: in it like the Statue of Liberty's torch.
- 44:47SPEAKER_01: That's in a section of the museum that celebrates immigrants.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: They're also super, super angry about the mentions of white supremacy and slavery.
- 44:55SPEAKER_01: Now, why would they get mad about that?
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 44:58SPEAKER_00: That's just so weird.
- 45:00SPEAKER_01: The signs will also direct visitors of where to go get their Trump-washed American history.
- 45:06SPEAKER_01: And I'd just like to add that if you haven't been to
- 45:08SPEAKER_01: the Smithsonian's American History Museum, I highly, highly recommend visiting it.
- 45:15SPEAKER_01: My husband and I went there in 2023.
- 45:18SPEAKER_01: I've talked about this before.
- 45:19SPEAKER_01: I was supposed to go to the Holocaust Museum,
- 45:21SPEAKER_01: but I couldn't find the parking lot for the Holocaust Museum.
- 45:23SPEAKER_01: So I gave up and just parked in front of there and picked a museum to go to.
- 45:28SPEAKER_01: And we spent hours looking at the exhibits.
- 45:31SPEAKER_01: Not only does it have American history,
- 45:35SPEAKER_01: it has this whole room that has all of the campaigns and the buttons and slogans.
- 45:43SPEAKER_01: There's TVs of the debates playing.
- 45:46SPEAKER_01: It also has a really cool section that has American film and music history.
- 45:53SPEAKER_01: And it includes Prince's guitar, Selena stuff.
- 46:00SPEAKER_01: It's really, really cool.
- 46:02SPEAKER_01: You can spend hours there.
- 46:03SPEAKER_01: I highly recommend going.
- 46:05SPEAKER_00: You haven't been to the African-American Museum yet, right?
- 46:07SPEAKER_01: I have not.
- 46:08SPEAKER_01: I've been to – every time I go, I try – because, you know, I'm not there for that long.
- 46:12SPEAKER_01: So I try to hit one museum.
- 46:14SPEAKER_01: And you know how it is.
- 46:14SPEAKER_01: Like it takes hours to go through them.
- 46:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 46:17SPEAKER_00: That one is brutal.
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: It's really good.
- 46:20SPEAKER_00: But, man, it's distressing.
- 46:22SPEAKER_00: The bottom floor is super distressing.
- 46:25SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, the first time I went to D.C. was right when that opened.
- 46:30SPEAKER_01: So you couldn't get tickets to it at all.
- 46:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 46:32SPEAKER_00: No, it was impossible to get in for like the first year.
- 46:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 46:35SPEAKER_01: And then when I went back, you know, it was when I was sick.
- 46:39SPEAKER_01: So I just I literally just parked and went into whatever I could find.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: But I will say that there's another museum in Baltimore and I was going to drive
- 46:47SPEAKER_01: to it one time when I was in D.C. and it's also an African-American.
- 46:50SPEAKER_01: African-American History Museum.
- 46:52SPEAKER_01: And my friend Derek was like,
- 46:53SPEAKER_01: oh yeah,
- 46:53SPEAKER_01: you should go to Baltimore because it's only like two hours away and go see
- 46:57SPEAKER_01: the African-American Museum there.
- 46:58SPEAKER_01: He said that the basement includes all of these relics of slavery that includes like
- 47:04SPEAKER_01: the torture devices that they used.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: Oh, they did that in Baltimore too?
- 47:08SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 47:09SPEAKER_01: So is that what's in the African-American Museum?
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 47:11SPEAKER_00: The entire bottom two floors.
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: Well, it's one floor, but it's just really large.
- 47:16SPEAKER_01: They have an older museum in Baltimore that has that.
- 47:19SPEAKER_00: All right, let us move on.
- 47:21SPEAKER_00: This is our future under climate change that doesn't exist, remember.
- 47:26SPEAKER_00: In the last 10 to 15 years, most of us should be familiar with the term dome.
- 47:31SPEAKER_00: If you're a little fuzzy on the details,
- 47:33SPEAKER_00: what happens is This is a high-pressure system that locks into place over an area
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: and traps hot air underneath it.
- 47:41SPEAKER_00: The heat literally bakes the ground so much that clouds cannot form,
- 47:47SPEAKER_00: so the dome prevents It also traps pollution like exhaust and,
- 47:52SPEAKER_00: yes, smoke from wildfires.
- 47:53SPEAKER_00: So the air quality will degrade if the dome lasts long enough.
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: Or happens to form in the path of a smoke cloud,
- 48:14SPEAKER_00: like the ones that we've been getting from Canada.
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: Isn't that fun?
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: Heat domes have become increasingly common,
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: even as the climate hasn't changed in the slightest, according to Republicans.
- 48:24SPEAKER_00: It's weird, though,
- 48:24SPEAKER_00: because the Midwest, where lots of Republicans live, keeps getting hit the hardest.
- 48:30SPEAKER_00: From the Gulf Coast to the Great Plains,
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: right now,
- 48:33SPEAKER_00: millions of Republicans are being subjected to 100 plus degrees of Whether as
- 48:38SPEAKER_00: a third heat dome just in July is sending temperatures through the fucking roof.
- 48:45SPEAKER_00: But this is what they voted for.
- 48:48SPEAKER_00: And it sucks that so many innocent people are trapped in their man-made hell with them.
- 48:52SPEAKER_00: But we offer every Republican gasping for breath the liberals.
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: May you and yours be the victims of your idea.
- 49:00SPEAKER_01: That makes so much sense because remember I walked outside this morning
- 49:04SPEAKER_01: and I came back in and I told you that I was that I was really hot.
- 49:07SPEAKER_01: Or did I tell you that?
- 49:08SPEAKER_00: No.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: Oh, and then I was like and then I was trying to get comfortable again.
- 49:11SPEAKER_01: And I was like so hot.
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: You guys can probably see a fan behind me.
- 49:15SPEAKER_01: I'm like, it's so hot outside.
- 49:17SPEAKER_01: It's so fucking humid.
- 49:20SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you guys are stuck with the heat dump,
- 49:22SPEAKER_00: but man, it is hitting a huge chunk of the country.
- 49:24SPEAKER_01: Well, the thing is, is like our temperatures aren't super high.
- 49:28SPEAKER_01: Like right now it's 85 because it's been raining a lot.
- 49:30SPEAKER_01: So probably not.
- 49:32SPEAKER_01: But it is just so humid outside.
- 49:34SPEAKER_01: It's very disgusting.
- 49:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, if you have rain, you do not have a heat, though.
- 49:39SPEAKER_01: 010, do not recommend.
- 49:42SPEAKER_01: And you know,
- 49:44SPEAKER_01: because you live in the South,
- 49:45SPEAKER_01: too, nobody can convince me that our summers are not getting hotter.
- 49:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, they obviously are.
- 49:51SPEAKER_01: I mean, it is so fucking hot.
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: Every year they talk about, well, I mean,
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: not so far,
- 49:55SPEAKER_00: not here anyway,
- 49:56SPEAKER_00: but like every year they talk about the new records are being broken.
- 49:59SPEAKER_00: It's like, well, that doesn't happen in a vacuum.
- 50:01SPEAKER_01: No, it's so bad.
- 50:02SPEAKER_01: Well, onto our LOL of the week.
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: Russia's paid propaganda stooges are jumping ship.
- 50:09SPEAKER_01: Remember Laura Loomer, the one rumored to be a very special friend of Donald Trump?
- 50:14SPEAKER_01: Well, she was also a very special friend to Russia,
- 50:19SPEAKER_01: constantly spewing Kremlin talking points,
- 50:21SPEAKER_01: so much so that she might as well have been reading them verbatim in
- 50:25SPEAKER_01: the original Russian.
- 50:27SPEAKER_01: Anyways, that was then, this is now.
- 50:30SPEAKER_01: Russia, you see, is not doing too well these days.
- 50:32SPEAKER_01: Aww.
- 50:33SPEAKER_01: Aww.
- 50:34SPEAKER_01: They're losing the war they started with Ukraine.
- 50:36SPEAKER_01: You know, the one that they were supposed to win in a week.
- 50:38SPEAKER_01: And their economy is imploding because Ukraine has been systematically targeting
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: and crippling their oil and commercial infrastructure.
- 50:48SPEAKER_01: I guess the checks have stopped coming in because Loomer and a bunch
- 50:51SPEAKER_01: of other far-right influencers have suddenly discovered that Russia was
- 50:55SPEAKER_01: the bad guy all along.
- 50:57SPEAKER_01: Shocking.
- 50:59SPEAKER_01: Can you even invade a country anymore without being called the bad guy?
- 51:03SPEAKER_00: Only if you're America.
- 51:05SPEAKER_01: That's true.
- 51:06SPEAKER_01: Which is another way of saying that if you don't pay your puppets,
- 51:11SPEAKER_01: they switch to the side that's winning and drop you like one
- 51:15SPEAKER_01: of Trump's crusty diapers.
- 51:25SPEAKER_00: You're such a nerd.
- 51:26SPEAKER_00: Yes, I am.
- 51:27SPEAKER_01: And then on to some good news for the week.
- 51:29SPEAKER_01: The courts continue to block Trump's efforts to rat fuck the midterms,
- 51:33SPEAKER_01: the ones that he's really trying to fuck up with his inflation
- 51:37SPEAKER_01: and rising gas prices.
- 51:39SPEAKER_01: Nonetheless.
- 51:40SPEAKER_01: On Saturday,
- 51:41SPEAKER_01: a three-judge panel on the First Circuit Court of Appeals rejected
- 51:45SPEAKER_01: the regime's request to lift an injection from a lower court that prohibited them
- 51:51SPEAKER_01: from tightening the rules for mail-in voting in 23 states.
- 51:55SPEAKER_01: The lower court found parts of Trump's executive order to implement
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: the new rules were unconstitutional.
- 52:02SPEAKER_01: Now,
- 52:03SPEAKER_01: the DOJ argued that the Democratic-led lawsuit against the EO was premature because
- 52:09SPEAKER_01: the regime hadn't yet finalized policies to implement the new rules,
- 52:13SPEAKER_01: but the judges rejected that argument,
- 52:16SPEAKER_01: writing, quote,
- 52:17SPEAKER_01: As the district court reasoned,
- 52:19SPEAKER_01: the executive order lays out a clear set of rapidly approaching deadlines by
- 52:25SPEAKER_01: which states must coordinate with federal officials and comply
- 52:29SPEAKER_01: with new voting procedures, all while the states must In other words, nah.
- 52:50SPEAKER_00: And they're trying to run to the Supreme Court to have them overturn it
- 52:59SPEAKER_00: and just like force states to do what the federal government says.
- 53:02SPEAKER_00: But I don't know.
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: I don't even know.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: I don't know if – There's if there's five votes on even the Supreme Court
- 53:09SPEAKER_00: to just I mean,
- 53:10SPEAKER_00: I know they'll ignore the Constitution for a lot of stuff,
- 53:12SPEAKER_00: but just to say, oh, yeah,
- 53:14SPEAKER_00: no, the federal government cannot control, you know, state controlled elections.
- 53:18SPEAKER_00: That's really tricky for them,
- 53:20SPEAKER_00: because once they say, yes,
- 53:22SPEAKER_00: the federal government has control over state elections,
- 53:25SPEAKER_00: they're going to have to turn around later and say, well,
- 53:26SPEAKER_00: actually,
- 53:27SPEAKER_00: we only meant Republican federal government,
- 53:29SPEAKER_00: because if the Democrats get into power again,
- 53:32SPEAKER_00: They have control over state elections and Republicans cannot afford that ever
- 53:38SPEAKER_00: under any circumstances.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: So I don't know.
- 53:41SPEAKER_00: I don't think I don't think the Supreme Court's going to do this.
- 53:43SPEAKER_01: Also,
- 53:43SPEAKER_01: don't they have to don't they have to like appeal to the full First Circuit Court
- 53:49SPEAKER_01: of Appeals before they can go to the Supreme Court?
- 53:51SPEAKER_01: Is that how it works?
- 53:52SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, but the Supreme Court's been short-circuiting that constantly.
- 53:55SPEAKER_00: The Republicans will just skip all of that and be like, well,
- 53:58SPEAKER_00: we need to get this done right now in order to help the regime,
- 54:00SPEAKER_00: so we're just going to skip all over that.
- 54:02SPEAKER_01: Well, that is not ideal.
- 54:04SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 54:04SPEAKER_00: So here's some other good news.
- 54:06SPEAKER_00: A fun story about Pete Kegger Hegseth shooting himself in the dick, his tiny steroid.
- 54:11SPEAKER_01: We love that for him.
- 54:13SPEAKER_00: If you recall,
- 54:15SPEAKER_00: Hegseth and his master,
- 54:16SPEAKER_00: Donald Trump,
- 54:17SPEAKER_00: fired the military's trans service members because something,
- 54:20SPEAKER_00: something,
- 54:20SPEAKER_00: we can't afford to pay for their mental care with our $1.5 trillion budget.
- 54:24SPEAKER_00: Hormone replacement therapy was just out of the question.
- 54:27SPEAKER_00: But you will also recall that last week we mentioned good old PDG's plan to pump up
- 54:32SPEAKER_00: the troops with testosterone.
- 54:34SPEAKER_00: And another name for that is hormone replacement therapy.
- 54:39SPEAKER_01: Oh, I didn't even think about that.
- 54:41SPEAKER_00: Neither did I until someone mentioned it.
- 54:42SPEAKER_00: I was just like, goddamn.
- 54:44SPEAKER_00: Now, Judge Ana Reyes,
- 54:45SPEAKER_00: who is presiding over the lawsuit that several trans service members have brought
- 54:48SPEAKER_00: against the military,
- 54:49SPEAKER_00: has ordered the Department of Defense to explain the difference
- 54:52SPEAKER_00: between hormone replacement therapy for delusional Fox News swilling morons
- 54:57SPEAKER_00: and hormone replacement therapy for trans men.
- 55:00SPEAKER_00: No doubt that conversation is going to go amazingly well.
- 55:04SPEAKER_00: So good luck, Petey, you dumb fuck.
- 55:06SPEAKER_01: That is so smart.
- 55:08SPEAKER_01: I didn't even think about that.
- 55:10SPEAKER_00: Well, that's why we're not judges.
- 55:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right.
- 55:15SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 55:16SPEAKER_00: Well, on to self-care of the week.
- 55:18SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 55:18SPEAKER_00: So this weekend,
- 55:20SPEAKER_00: three days, Friday,
- 55:21SPEAKER_00: Saturday,
- 55:21SPEAKER_00: and Sunday,
- 55:22SPEAKER_00: I will have two rooms at the Marriott in DC for the entire weekend for Oticon 2026.
- 55:29SPEAKER_00: One room is for the girls.
- 55:31SPEAKER_00: It's going to be Lila, June, Anastasia, and Lillian.
- 55:36SPEAKER_00: So they're going to be there.
- 55:37SPEAKER_00: And the other room,
- 55:39SPEAKER_00: here's the fun part, is for me, my donor son, Kyle, and one of his baby mamas.
- 55:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, really?
- 55:47SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 55:48SPEAKER_01: I knew Kyle was coming, but I didn't know that one of his moms was coming.
- 55:51SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 55:52SPEAKER_01: Maria, she's flying.
- 55:54SPEAKER_01: I was going to ask, is it our little short friend?
- 55:56SPEAKER_00: Yes, it is.
- 55:57SPEAKER_00: I'm flying them up from Florida for Kyle's 13th birthday, and he has never been to a convention.
- 56:05SPEAKER_00: So I am super excited to take him to the largest one in the DMV area.
- 56:10SPEAKER_00: That's DC, Maryland, Virginia.
- 56:13SPEAKER_00: And we're going to be in cosplay.
- 56:15SPEAKER_00: So on Saturday, me, Anastasia, and Kyle are all going to be characters from Gravity Falls.
- 56:21SPEAKER_00: I'm Drunkle Stan.
- 56:22SPEAKER_00: Thank you very much.
- 56:23SPEAKER_00: And they're going to be the two sibling characters, which is great because they're siblings.
- 56:29SPEAKER_00: It's going to be amazing.
- 56:30SPEAKER_00: We're going to have a ton of fun.
- 56:32SPEAKER_00: We're going to be doing all the stuff that Kyle wants to do.
- 56:35SPEAKER_00: I'm going to be running around with Kyle and Maria for the entire time,
- 56:38SPEAKER_00: doing whatever Kyle wants to do.
- 56:40SPEAKER_00: Anastasia will meet up with us every now and then, and we'll do some other stuff.
- 56:44SPEAKER_00: And we'll meet up with Lila and June every now and then.
- 56:47SPEAKER_00: We'll do some other stuff.
- 56:49SPEAKER_00: And it's going to be awesome.
- 56:51SPEAKER_00: This is the first year that Lila is 18.
- 56:55SPEAKER_00: So she gets to come with me and do some of the 18 plus stuff that they have at night.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: Like after 10 o'clock,
- 57:01SPEAKER_00: they start running 18 plus panels and like just different things
- 57:06SPEAKER_00: that she's never been able to go to before.
- 57:09SPEAKER_00: And I was able to go last year because we had a hotel.
- 57:12SPEAKER_00: It wasn't in the convention center, but it was next to it.
- 57:15SPEAKER_00: So since we were there, The girls could go back to their rooms.
- 57:19SPEAKER_00: I was able to stay late and do some of the 18 plus stuff, which is fucking hilarious.
- 57:24SPEAKER_00: This year, we again have hotel rooms, I get to do that again, and she gets to come with me.
- 57:31SPEAKER_00: One of the panels we're going to go through is Titties Through Time
- 57:35SPEAKER_00: in Japanese anime, which is going to be really fucking funny.
- 57:39SPEAKER_00: So we're all looking forward to some of the really silliest stuff that we get to do.
- 57:42SPEAKER_00: But during the daytime, I'll be with Kyle, and his head's going to explode.
- 57:46SPEAKER_00: It's going to be amazing.
- 57:48SPEAKER_01: It's crazy that Kyle is 13.
- 57:50SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 57:50SPEAKER_00: That means we've been down here for 13 years.
- 57:53SPEAKER_01: That means that we've known each other for a really long time.
- 57:56SPEAKER_00: A really, really
- 57:57SPEAKER_01: long time.
- 57:58SPEAKER_01: Like a really long time.
- 57:59SPEAKER_01: Like probably coming up like maybe like almost 20 years.
- 58:03SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 58:04SPEAKER_00: You went from being a stalker to being a podcast co-host.
- 58:07SPEAKER_00: Wait, you went from being a stalker to being an employee to being my boss to being
- 58:11SPEAKER_00: a podcast co-host.
- 58:15SPEAKER_00: Weird how life works.
- 58:18SPEAKER_01: I celebrated my 23rd wedding anniversary this week.
- 58:22SPEAKER_01: My husband and I got married in 2003 when I was just 18 years old because I was
- 58:27SPEAKER_01: a big girl who knew everything.
- 58:32SPEAKER_01: It's been quite a journey.
- 58:34SPEAKER_01: But two kids later who are 14 years apart.
- 58:39SPEAKER_00: I don't know why we
- 58:39SPEAKER_01: didn't just have them together.
- 58:40SPEAKER_01: I don't know why.
- 58:42SPEAKER_01: The two kids later,
- 58:44SPEAKER_01: he's really the I think that we love each other more now than we did back then.
- 58:49SPEAKER_01: Certainly than in our 20s because we were a hot mess in our fucking
- 58:52SPEAKER_00: 20s.
- 58:54SPEAKER_00: The less said about that, the better.
- 58:56SPEAKER_01: But he is truly the only person that I like to spend extended periods of time with,
- 59:03SPEAKER_01: even when I'm bickering with him.
- 59:06SPEAKER_01: He's also my favorite travel buddy.
- 59:08SPEAKER_01: A lot of people want to go out of town with their friends.
- 59:11SPEAKER_01: Like their girlfriends.
- 59:13SPEAKER_01: Girls trips are huge things.
- 59:15SPEAKER_01: But I really only like to travel with my husband.
- 59:18SPEAKER_01: We just have more fun together.
- 59:20SPEAKER_01: And also he gives the best foot rubs.
- 59:22SPEAKER_01: So I don't know.
- 59:23SPEAKER_01: I'll probably keep him for at least 23 more years.
- 59:26SPEAKER_00: You'll have to place for him later so he can just roll his eyes.
- 59:32SPEAKER_01: Listen, two years I'm having a party.
- 59:34SPEAKER_01: When we hit 25 years, it's going to be a party, buddy.
- 59:38SPEAKER_01: You'll have to come down here.
- 59:39SPEAKER_00: Well, hopefully you won't be living in Florida at that point.
- 59:41SPEAKER_00: We can get to you easier.
- 59:43SPEAKER_01: God, hopefully it'll be New York.
- 59:45SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 59:45SPEAKER_00: That's it for today's show.
- 59:47SPEAKER_00: The Opinionated Ogre podcast, like the newsletter, is free and 100% supported by you.
- 59:53SPEAKER_00: We have no advertisers or sponsors yet and probably never.
- 59:57SPEAKER_00: So please consider becoming a paid subscriber for just $5 a month.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_01: 95 days.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_00: Until the most important midterm elections in American history.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_00: That time will fly by faster than you can possibly imagine.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_00: The regime is begging Republicans to rig the midterms for them because they are weak.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_00: And in November, we're going to show them just how fucking weak they are.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_00: Remember, you are not alone.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_00: Stay focused, meet the fascist ones, and we will fucking do it again.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_00: Adios.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_00: Adios.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_00: All right, everybody.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_00: Thanks for sticking around.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_00: I'm going to post the podcast tomorrow and then Unicorn Conventions.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_00: We'll see you guys next week.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_00: Bye.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_00: Bye, guys.
