Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: Hey, Andy McCulla is back on the show. We love
- 0:07Speaker 1: having you on here, so thanks again for the time Andy.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Give him a follow app by McCullough. You can also
- 0:12Speaker 1: check out his book The Last of His Kind, which
- 0:14Speaker 1: is quite relevant right now as we see the very
- 0:17Speaker 1: very twilight of Clayton Kershaw's career here. Maybe he'll pop
- 0:20Speaker 1: into a game or two in the World Series. Anyway, Andy,
- 0:23Speaker 1: good to see you. So, first off, you know, we
- 0:26Speaker 1: haven't had a show since the Dodgers absolutely finished dominating
- 0:30Speaker 1: the Brewers.
- 0:31Speaker 2: So your thoughts on the.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Series as a whole and how they look heading into
- 0:35Speaker 1: the World Series because you covered this team you know,
- 0:37Speaker 1: on the beat for a while too, Like, is this
- 0:39Speaker 1: as good as it gets right now?
- 0:42Speaker 3: I mean they're certainly playing at an extremely high rate,
- 0:45Speaker 3: and they're pitching is so strong right now.
- 0:47Speaker 4: I mean the starting pitching you know, snow Yamamoto, Glass,
- 0:50Speaker 4: now the other I forget the fourth guy's name. They
- 0:53Speaker 4: were all really really good against the Brewers. And so yeah,
- 0:57Speaker 4: they get a good amount of time off. They're going
- 0:59Speaker 4: to a you know team in Seattle or Toronto, who's
- 1:03Speaker 4: you know, gonna have to go to a game seven
- 1:04Speaker 4: and use their bullpen. Even with the you know, the
- 1:06Speaker 4: days off, there will be a little gas. The Dodgers
- 1:08Speaker 4: can set everything up, you know, So Snell and Yamamoto
- 1:11Speaker 4: and some order are set up for one and two
- 1:13Speaker 4: and then back again for five and six, and so yeah, Like,
- 1:17Speaker 4: I don't know if this is like the best Dodgers
- 1:20Speaker 4: team of this group, of this sort of era, but
- 1:23Speaker 4: it's certainly one that peaked at exactly the right time.
- 1:28Speaker 5: Well, they didn't know what they planned on the whole year.
- 1:30Speaker 5: I mean, I don't know why everyone's so surprised.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Listen.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Only one of us had them won in their power
- 1:35Speaker 5: rankings the entire year, and you know how much I'd
- 1:37Speaker 5: love power ranking, So I just want to say that
- 1:39Speaker 5: I had him won the entire year.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Never faltered, unlike a lot of people on this show.
- 1:43Speaker 5: But this is what they were set up for the
- 1:45Speaker 5: regular They knew they were going to make the playoffs.
- 1:48Speaker 2: They weren't worried about it.
- 1:49Speaker 5: They said, oh, this guy's a little sore, will give
- 1:51Speaker 5: them time off, this guy, this, this guy that, blah
- 1:53Speaker 5: blah blah blah blah.
- 1:54Speaker 2: They got in the postseason.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Everyone was worried because they had to play the the
- 1:57Speaker 5: Reds who they dispatched like two to seven and two
- 2:01Speaker 5: games or whatever it was, right, and then they had
- 2:03Speaker 5: to go play the Brewers, who had the best record
- 2:05Speaker 5: in baseball, and they dispatch them. Then they had to
- 2:08Speaker 5: go you know, it's like come on, like it was,
- 2:11Speaker 5: there was never the game. The Phillies were the ones
- 2:13Speaker 5: where were like, Okay, they have a chance. Right now
- 2:15Speaker 5: we're in the World Series. I know they have time off,
- 2:17Speaker 5: but did they care who they play? Because this team
- 2:20Speaker 5: was set up to win these series with overwhelming starting pitching,
- 2:25Speaker 5: overwhelming number of arms in the bullpen, and an overwhelming
- 2:28Speaker 5: lineup made up of MVPs at all stars.
- 2:30Speaker 2: This is the team that they envisioned.
- 2:32Speaker 5: And now last year they might not have had it,
- 2:34Speaker 5: but here they are again and we can see how
- 2:35Speaker 5: good they are.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I'm sure, like you know, from a
- 2:38Speaker 4: in a in like a real like small context or whatever,
- 2:42Speaker 4: they probably would like prefer to play the Mariners just
- 2:44Speaker 4: because their offense strikes out a little bit more Toronto,
- 2:47Speaker 4: you know, puts the ball in play, and so that
- 2:49Speaker 4: can be a great quality at this time of year.
- 2:52Speaker 3: But in general, they don't care. They're set up really well.
- 2:54Speaker 4: They're gonna have Blake Snell going in game one and
- 2:56Speaker 4: Yamamoto behind them, and they have Shoheotani leading off every
- 3:00Speaker 4: like they're they believe they're the best team in baseball.
- 3:03Speaker 4: As you said, you know, it's not that they don't
- 3:05Speaker 4: care about the regular season per se, but they have
- 3:09Speaker 4: in the past few years really stopped.
- 3:12Speaker 3: They've just become fixated on, like.
- 3:14Speaker 4: How do we get to October one as healthy as possible?
- 3:18Speaker 4: And so, you know, Blake Snell was given probably a
- 3:20Speaker 4: little bit more time this summer to recover from a
- 3:23Speaker 4: you know, a shoulder injury than he put he would
- 3:26Speaker 4: have had on a team that felt like it needed
- 3:27Speaker 4: to do everything he could in the regular season. They
- 3:29Speaker 4: have targeted players in acquiring them who have more upside
- 3:34Speaker 4: than reliability. So like Snell and glas now come to mind, right,
- 3:37Speaker 4: these are not guys who are gonna throw two hundred innings.
- 3:39Speaker 3: There are guys.
- 3:40Speaker 4: These are guys though, who if you give them the
- 3:42Speaker 4: ball in a playoff game, you feel pretty good about it.
- 3:44Speaker 4: You know, they've carried Key k Hernandez these last two
- 3:47Speaker 4: years knowing that in the regular season he's maybe not
- 3:49Speaker 4: an elite player, but once the calendar turns to October.
- 3:52Speaker 4: He's a really, really vital part of their offense. And
- 3:55Speaker 4: so yeah, I mean they've made a lot of concessions
- 3:58Speaker 4: and that, like they're not trying to win one hundred
- 4:00Speaker 4: and ten games during the regular season.
- 4:02Speaker 3: They're trying to win the last game in the postseason.
- 4:06Speaker 6: This team, after they beat the Yankees last year, they
- 4:08Speaker 6: got a little bit drunk and talked a little bit
- 4:12Speaker 6: of smack on the Yankees. This is the most smack
- 4:16Speaker 6: talk you've ever heard from Dave Roberts. His comments when
- 4:19Speaker 6: he was on the podium. That does that make you
- 4:24Speaker 6: feel like they hear people saying they're ruining baseball and
- 4:29Speaker 6: they're saying poo on you guys. And is that the
- 4:33Speaker 6: most smack talk you've ever heard from Dave Roberts.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Yeah, that was That was pretty good. That was pretty strong.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I mean I think, yeah, they clearly are aware of
- 4:42Speaker 4: what the narratives are. You know, they're not like shut
- 4:44Speaker 4: off from the world. I just I don't know how
- 4:47Speaker 4: much that affects guys on a day to day basis,
- 4:50Speaker 4: because like, playing baseball is extremely hard, as you know,
- 4:53Speaker 4: you guys know, and like being good at it is
- 4:56Speaker 4: even harder and so like, I don't know how much
- 4:59Speaker 4: it's creeps into their like day to day preparation things
- 5:01Speaker 4: like that, but yeah, like offspring training all day, they
- 5:04Speaker 4: all had to answer questions about how they were you know,
- 5:06Speaker 4: quote unquote ruining baseball during the season. You know, they
- 5:09Speaker 4: had to deal with the idea of like, oh, you
- 5:11Speaker 4: guys are really underplunt performing what your expectations were. And
- 5:14Speaker 4: so yeah, when you get a chance to win the Pennant,
- 5:17Speaker 4: you know you can do a little bit. You know,
- 5:18Speaker 4: you can treat it like it's you know, taste myself
- 5:20Speaker 4: Tuesday and really gloat and enjoy it.
- 5:23Speaker 3: And they've earned it.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Listen, listen, listen, listen.
- 5:26Speaker 5: I think the Dodgers are the best team. Okay, I've
- 5:30Speaker 5: said it from day one. But here's my thing. There's
- 5:33Speaker 5: this whole narrative. Now, if the Dodgers win the World Series,
- 5:36Speaker 5: it's more of a thing a case for a salary cab,
- 5:39Speaker 5: and it's.
- 5:40Speaker 2: More it's so bad for a bit.
- 5:41Speaker 5: I disagree, because you know what it shows me, if
- 5:44Speaker 5: you spend you got a chance to win, if you
- 5:46Speaker 5: go out and build organizational depth and you do the
- 5:49Speaker 5: right things in the minor leagues, because there are a
- 5:50Speaker 5: bunch of guys on this team that were brought up
- 5:52Speaker 5: through the system and have helped contribute. Will Smith comes
- 5:55Speaker 5: to mind right off the top of my head. Right,
- 5:56Speaker 5: Andy Piez is another guy that came through the system
- 5:59Speaker 5: and now they are here helping. Okay, if you do
- 6:03Speaker 5: it right and you spend money the right way, then
- 6:05Speaker 5: you actually get to win. The fans come out, the
- 6:06Speaker 5: TV market's better, people buy you know, now there's only
- 6:10Speaker 5: one show. Hey, I get it, but I don't understand
- 6:12Speaker 5: this narrative of oh man, the Dodgers are gonna win,
- 6:14Speaker 5: so we need a salary cap. NFL has a salary cap.
- 6:17Speaker 5: Patrick mahomes in the Super Bowl every year. NBA has
- 6:20Speaker 5: a salary cap. Lebron James and his three amigos are
- 6:24Speaker 5: in the NBA.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Finals every year. Look at Florida.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Florida owns the Stanley Cup, right, we own the Stanley
- 6:30Speaker 5: Cup the state of Florida.
- 6:31Speaker 2: It's now the Florida's Cup. We give up Lord Stanley. Okay,
- 6:34Speaker 2: but why is this such a narrative?
- 6:36Speaker 5: And I love Dave Roberts pushing back on it because
- 6:38Speaker 5: I think it's good for the game.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, that's that's certainly an argument.
- 6:42Speaker 4: I think just the idea that, look, the salary cap
- 6:46Speaker 4: is something that the owners have wanted since the dawn
- 6:51Speaker 4: of free agency. It's like a decades long goal that
- 6:55Speaker 4: they've wanted to put in and for obvious reasons, it's
- 6:58Speaker 4: been a like a red line that.
- 7:01Speaker 3: The union you know, will not cross.
- 7:03Speaker 4: And so I think the idea that what happened in
- 7:07Speaker 4: the series between the Brewers and the Dodgers would change
- 7:10Speaker 4: the opinions of small market owners who want.
- 7:12Speaker 3: A cap is silly.
- 7:14Speaker 4: However, it what majorly what the what the owners want
- 7:19Speaker 4: is to like, for lack of a better term, see
- 7:21Speaker 4: the clouds of an idea of that there should be
- 7:24Speaker 4: a cap, that that that there needs to be competitive
- 7:26Speaker 4: balance through a cap. There they're trying to win a
- 7:29Speaker 4: public relations battle going into you know, sort of the
- 7:33Speaker 4: CBA talks like, I don't know if it's going to
- 7:35Speaker 4: be successful. But just the fact that we're talking about
- 7:37Speaker 4: this now, we weren't having these conversations in like twenty
- 7:40Speaker 4: fifteen or twenty sixteen about you know, the necessity for
- 7:43Speaker 4: a cap. So I think they're like they're already sort
- 7:47Speaker 4: of getting what they want, and that people are talking
- 7:49Speaker 4: about a cap more and more.
- 7:50Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 7:53Speaker 6: For all your parents out there like me, with teenagers

- 9:02Speaker 1: Slash Legal Slash podcast for full disclosures?
- 9:05Speaker 6: Okay, writers, you have to you have to answers yes
- 9:08Speaker 6: or no, and that's it. Writers are fans of baseball teams. No, Okay,
- 9:17Speaker 6: that's obvious. We talked about this all the time on
- 9:19Speaker 6: the show. I was like, is this a truck question?
- 9:22Speaker 3: Okay?
- 9:22Speaker 6: I was like, how can you how can you not
- 9:24Speaker 6: be a fan of show? Heyo Tani, like how how
- 9:27Speaker 6: is a writer? Is it hard to see what he
- 9:30Speaker 6: does day in and day out to not be a
- 9:33Speaker 6: fan because fans are in all fans are for fanatic?
- 9:38Speaker 6: How can you not?
- 9:40Speaker 4: Well, what if you're just jealous of other people? What
- 9:43Speaker 4: if you're just like I wake up and I'm thirty
- 9:46Speaker 4: eight and my left foot hurts constantly, and you know,
- 9:49Speaker 4: I have to take like medicine for my gout and
- 9:52Speaker 4: this guy, you know, can do anything he wants on
- 9:55Speaker 4: a baseball field on command, Like, yeah, I would that
- 9:58Speaker 4: would be a little frustrated with that, But yeah, in general, right,
- 10:01Speaker 4: like he's he's a freak. Like there's you know, there's
- 10:05Speaker 4: never been a player like him, or at least I
- 10:07Speaker 4: mean the Babe Ruth stuff. It's like that was a
- 10:10Speaker 4: long time ago, and Ruth didn't do it for all
- 10:12Speaker 4: that long. You know, he stopped doing it. He went
- 10:14Speaker 4: to the Yankees going, you know, being a two way player.
- 10:16Speaker 4: So I think just Otani's flair for the dramatic, his
- 10:20Speaker 4: ability to put exclamation points, you know, on games and
- 10:25Speaker 4: to take games over, it feels unprecedented. It's it's remarkable
- 10:30Speaker 4: to watch. And I've just you know, been I was
- 10:33Speaker 4: at the first greatest game ever he played in Miami
- 10:37Speaker 4: last year, and I think he was able to top
- 10:39Speaker 4: that the other night in LA That was that was
- 10:41Speaker 4: something else.
- 10:43Speaker 6: That's why I was gonna ask you that was gonna
- 10:44Speaker 6: be my question. Did he top that fifty I think
- 10:48Speaker 6: it was the fifty to fifty game we had ten
- 10:50Speaker 6: RBIs and all that stuff. Did he top it because
- 10:52Speaker 6: of the stage or did he top it because of
- 10:55Speaker 6: what you saw out there, in the fact that they
- 10:57Speaker 6: were running their best pick out there? The Marlins I
- 11:01Speaker 6: think he hit one of his own. I mean, it's
- 11:03Speaker 6: the position player not to be rude.
- 11:05Speaker 4: To another big league club, But he did that in
- 11:06Speaker 4: like a day game against the Marlins in September.
- 11:08Speaker 3: I mean, this was game four of the NLCS.
- 11:11Speaker 4: You know, the Brewers had the best record in baseball
- 11:13Speaker 4: and we're playing for their, you know, their postseason lives.
- 11:15Speaker 4: I mean, so yeah, to hit three home runs and
- 11:18Speaker 4: throw you know, six scoreless with ten strikeouts and look
- 11:22Speaker 4: really really dominant at times as a pitcher, I mean, yeah,
- 11:25Speaker 4: that's that's the greatest. I'd love to see a better
- 11:28Speaker 4: postseason game. I look forward to what the World Series
- 11:31Speaker 4: has has in store for us.
- 11:34Speaker 6: Is should he have pitched Game one in the sense
- 11:38Speaker 6: that he was ready? And I know, if we look
- 11:39Speaker 6: back at it, he you know, Blake Snell and Yamo
- 11:42Speaker 6: they did what they did. I'm saying in that moment, man,
- 11:46Speaker 6: if they had lost that game and they felt Shoho
- 11:48Speaker 6: Tani was their best option, should he or maybe he's
- 11:52Speaker 6: not their best option.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Maybe they I just don't think he is.
- 11:55Speaker 3: I just don't think he is their best option.
- 11:57Speaker 4: And I think there are you know, there are there
- 12:01Speaker 4: are like not there's ancillary effects to him pitching, Like
- 12:05Speaker 4: the data is what it is, that like he is
- 12:08Speaker 4: in general, you know, last Friday night, notwithstanding, he is
- 12:11Speaker 4: generally less effective as a hitter when he pitches, and
- 12:14Speaker 4: there also is a cost the next day. So setting
- 12:17Speaker 4: it up the way they did so that he would go,
- 12:20Speaker 4: you know, game four makes sense. And look, I think
- 12:23Speaker 4: Snell is probably their best pitcher, but like we're really
- 12:27Speaker 4: picking a knits between him, Yamamoto, and Otani. They're all
- 12:32Speaker 4: really really good. But I just think you set it
- 12:34Speaker 4: up to have Snell and Yamamoto in one and two
- 12:37Speaker 4: so they can come back for five and six. It
- 12:40Speaker 4: just makes more sense from a scheduling perspective.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Andy, this is gonna sound crazy or maybe not, but
- 12:48Speaker 1: do you think that other owners around baseball are watching
- 12:51Speaker 1: show hey right now and going, you know, maybe we
- 12:53Speaker 1: should have called his rep a few years ago and
- 12:57Speaker 1: been like one billion dollars right, like, just say something
- 13:01Speaker 1: so crazy to see if it was all about signing
- 13:04Speaker 1: with the Dodgers, or if he would have considered some
- 13:07Speaker 1: other option from a team that said we love you
- 13:09Speaker 1: even more than they do and we're going to do
- 13:11Speaker 1: something crazy. Because marketing wise, obviously, what he's doing on
- 13:15Speaker 1: the field. I mean, he's might be the biggest bargain
- 13:18Speaker 1: in the sport. And even forget the deferral stuff, right, Like,
- 13:20Speaker 1: his contract in net present value is worth less than
- 13:24Speaker 1: Vlatty juniors and Laddy Junior is great. But when you
- 13:26Speaker 1: look back, I'm like, damn, I think more teams should
- 13:30Speaker 1: have gone after him, and I think there are teams
- 13:32Speaker 1: that would have made money off him marketing wise to
- 13:34Speaker 1: make the books even up. I mean, the Dodgers are
- 13:37Speaker 1: going to profit like crazy oft of him.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I think though the deferrals are everything though,
- 13:41Speaker 4: because it wasn't a matter of like he wanted a
- 13:45Speaker 4: historic contract, right, but he did not want a historic
- 13:48Speaker 4: contract that he felt would hamstring the team from doing
- 13:52Speaker 4: anything else. And so they, you know, he along with
- 13:54Speaker 4: his agent, you know, Neiswellela, they created this sort of
- 13:56Speaker 4: structure that he's getting paid two million dollars a year
- 14:00Speaker 4: during the ten years. The first ten years of his
- 14:02Speaker 4: ten years was actual playing career. And so that's a
- 14:05Speaker 4: structure that any owner probably would have been okay doing.
- 14:10Speaker 4: I think the thing is, though, it's not like every
- 14:12Speaker 4: owner had a chance, because not every owner runs a
- 14:15Speaker 4: team like the Dodgers, who are in the postseason every year,
- 14:18Speaker 4: who have you know, a good farm system, who have
- 14:20Speaker 4: shown the ability to add at the deadline, who made
- 14:24Speaker 4: themselves a destination you know for all these other teams
- 14:27Speaker 4: and have the you know, the sort of history, and
- 14:29Speaker 4: so yeah, I just don't know if, like you know,
- 14:32Speaker 4: Steve Cohen said like we'll give you two billion dollars
- 14:34Speaker 4: or something like that, I don't know if it would
- 14:37Speaker 4: have made a difference because he wasn't in it for
- 14:39Speaker 4: making immediate riches. He was in it for sort of
- 14:42Speaker 4: a bigger legacy sort of idea, if that makes sense.
- 14:46Speaker 1: All right.
- 14:47Speaker 6: It was kind of easy for them to say this
- 14:49Speaker 6: because they were up three to zero and show Hey
- 14:52Speaker 6: was pitching Game four, and they said, yeah, he might
- 14:55Speaker 6: be available for the bull for out of the bullpen
- 14:58Speaker 6: in Game seven. Because of how this is working out,
- 15:01Speaker 6: Do we see him out of the bullpen? We've all
- 15:03Speaker 6: talked about it, how they can't because he's dhing he
- 15:06Speaker 6: comes in out of the bullpen, do we see it?
- 15:09Speaker 6: Because if there's something I'm looking forward to this in
- 15:11Speaker 6: this series because I think the Dodgers are going to
- 15:14Speaker 6: win it pretty handily. That is what I want to see.
- 15:17Speaker 6: I want to see shohe Otani come out of the bullpen. Why.
- 15:21Speaker 6: I don't know why, because like he's just done everything,
- 15:25Speaker 6: and that's the one thing we haven't seen him doing
- 15:26Speaker 6: in a big league game yet.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:28Speaker 4: I mean you are asking for a big hurdle though,
- 15:30Speaker 4: and that the Dodgers have to lose twice in order
- 15:32Speaker 4: to at least get there, right, Yeah, I mean I
- 15:36Speaker 4: think it's it's certainly within the realm of possibility, and
- 15:39Speaker 4: I suspect that the Dodgers are, you know, sort of
- 15:41Speaker 4: drawing up contingencies of like if they can do it,
- 15:44Speaker 4: if you could start you know, game four and then
- 15:46Speaker 4: be available in some capacity in game seven. But yeah,
- 15:49Speaker 4: there is the whole sort of warming up aspect that
- 15:53Speaker 4: is somewhat challenging, you know, when he's dhing. So yeah,
- 15:58Speaker 4: it's it's yeah, I suspect that if they make it
- 16:00Speaker 4: to a game seven, he'll be available. Like what the
- 16:03Speaker 4: mechanics are of that, I'm not totally sure to be honest.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Okay, Edie, you were talking about show Hey. Forget show Hey.
- 16:10Speaker 5: Let's talk about something.
- 16:11Speaker 2: A little more near and dear to your heart. That's
- 16:12Speaker 2: what I want to see happen.
- 16:14Speaker 5: The Dodgers are about to clinch the World Series and
- 16:16Speaker 5: you know who they bring in to clinch it, Clayton Kershaw.
- 16:20Speaker 2: They have a big enough lead and they bring him in.
- 16:23Speaker 5: Now, wouldn't that be a cool like, wouldn't that be
- 16:25Speaker 5: the best way in the world to go out for him?
- 16:27Speaker 2: Is say they're whatever game they're in and they're winning.
- 16:30Speaker 5: This thing, and they have a five or six run lead,
- 16:32Speaker 5: and they bring in Curse to get the final out
- 16:34Speaker 5: and the crowd gets to, you know, give him his flowers.
- 16:38Speaker 5: He gets to get his flowers, and he's the one
- 16:39Speaker 5: that gets Wouldn't that be the best ending to a
- 16:43Speaker 5: storybook Hall of Fame Dodger career?
- 16:45Speaker 3: That would certainly be, yeah, the movie version of how
- 16:48Speaker 3: it ends? And I wouldn't I don't know.
- 16:51Speaker 4: I mean, Dave Roberts does have a flair for the
- 16:54Speaker 4: dramatic in sometimes in his managerial moves, but he's been
- 16:58Speaker 4: pretty coldly efficient, say, and there's also you know, the
- 17:03Speaker 4: the rookie Sasaki factor. He's been quite good for them.
- 17:07Speaker 4: They really really like what they're getting out of him.
- 17:09Speaker 3: In the closing role. So I don't know if they'd
- 17:11Speaker 3: want to mess with that.
- 17:12Speaker 4: But if you were drawing it up and like how
- 17:13Speaker 4: to put a bow on Kershaw's Hall of Fame career
- 17:17Speaker 4: and to do something that you know would be remembered forever,
- 17:20Speaker 4: that would certainly be up there.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it would be good for book sales.
- 17:26Speaker 2: You could write another book.
- 17:28Speaker 1: On the roundtable to his pod, so it would help
- 17:31Speaker 1: you the little chichin.
- 17:33Speaker 3: Yeah, we're still doing book plates. Someone send me an email,
- 17:35Speaker 3: please book plates.
- 17:38Speaker 2: There you go.
- 17:38Speaker 1: I hope. And there's no code because we have a
- 17:40Speaker 1: lot of codes on this show. No code, but the
- 17:43Speaker 1: code is make Andy happy.
- 17:45Speaker 3: I think they're just giving them away at this point.
- 17:47Speaker 3: I think that.
- 17:48Speaker 4: I think there's just there's thousands of copies still available.
- 17:50Speaker 4: They're just being donated to libraries everywhere.
- 17:53Speaker 6: They're propping up tables that are uneven.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 17:57Speaker 6: I mean, I know somebody, I know somebody. He wrote
- 18:00Speaker 6: a book. So I'm just just saying that's true. That's true.
- 18:04Speaker 6: Well for our two authors, A J. And me are
- 18:07Speaker 6: saying bye and thank you. Andy, you're the man.
