- 0:00Intelligent hauntings! That's what we're talking
- 0:04about on this episode of Paranormal Lens. Let's
- 0:07get intelligent, you guys, for the first time.
- 0:10I've never been intelligent in my life. We're
- 0:12not intelligent whatsoever. Actually, I was intelligent
- 0:15before college. I thought you were going to say
- 0:20before this podcast. You know what? I think you're
- 0:23right. I think my intelligence took a nosedive.
- 0:31I don't think I'm intelligent at all. Actually,
- 0:34that's not true. Everyone's intelligent in their
- 0:37own way. What's the topic? See, that's the thing.
- 0:41I'm not intelligent with remembering topics.
- 0:43But you can go on a whole show about the most
- 0:46obscure esoteric shit. Like owls. she's reading
- 0:52a book on erosicrucians now so it'll be interesting
- 0:54to go more in depth on i'm trying to it's just
- 0:57i feel guilty every single time i sit down and
- 1:00read when i should probably be doing school work
- 1:01or cleaning the apartment i feel guilty just
- 1:05doing anything that's on my own like anything
- 1:08that's fun whatsoever sounds like you need therapy
- 1:13We can talk about that more after this podcast.
- 1:17Welcome to our podcast, where we take deep dives
- 1:20looking at various topics through a paranormal
- 1:22lens. Okay, let's come back, guys, from the intro.
- 1:28Welcome back to this intervention, I mean, podcast
- 1:31episode. We left you on a cliffhanger last week,
- 1:35kind of saying we would talk more about intelligent
- 1:37hauntings this episode. That was already the
- 1:41plan. We just kind of veered towards that last
- 1:46topic unintentionally as these tend to go in
- 1:50directions we don't anticipate. So I kind of
- 1:52jumped in and cut everyone off and said, hey,
- 1:54this is our slated topic for next week. We talked
- 1:57about residual hauntings already through a wonderful
- 1:59metaphor of cheese and sandwiches. We use that
- 2:04to kind of frame our discussion. We sound like
- 2:09idiots. This is why we say we're not intelligent.
- 2:15None of us are intelligent. But we're stripping
- 2:21away the metaphors and we are doing this without
- 2:26a menu because we are really serious about intelligent
- 2:30hauntings. I'm seriously skeptical of them. Mic
- 2:34drop! get out of here leave get out of here leave
- 2:38no but do you guys believe in intelligent hauntings
- 2:42or am i the only one i think there are intelligent
- 2:44yeah i think there are like i don't know if i've
- 2:49what counts as an intelligent haunting though
- 2:51have you had a two -way communication with a
- 2:54ghost where i would say so yeah you have talked
- 2:58to a ghost and the ghost knows it is talking
- 3:00to you and has talked back to you Do they know
- 3:04it's talking to me? That's an intelligent communication.
- 3:07It's a two -way communication. When I'm talking
- 3:10to you, Angela, right now, we're engaging in
- 3:14discourse. You are aware of what's going on.
- 3:16You're an intelligent person. Yeah. I would say
- 3:24that I believe intelligent hauntings are a thing.
- 3:29Whether or not I have had an interaction with
- 3:32one, it is hard to say other than what we talked
- 3:35about at the last podcast with the spirit box
- 3:38session I did. Like I've said, ghost hunting,
- 3:46all equipment, everything is all theoretical.
- 3:50So it is hard to say whether or not something
- 3:53is intelligent. or not, based on our interactions
- 3:57with or without equipment. Yeah. Yes. I guess
- 4:03I have two main questions I want to get. One
- 4:10is, like... I just feel like it all depends...
- 4:12Sorry, I just want to... No, go ahead. Go ahead.
- 4:14Yes. I just feel like it all depends if it's
- 4:17an intelligent hunting, if... Like, you... still
- 4:23have a conscience when you die? Like, does the
- 4:30soul have a conscience? You know? That's a big
- 4:38question. That's a big question. So you think
- 4:42Angela... Don't you need to have a conscience
- 4:45to be intelligent? Do you think when the brain...
- 4:51Okay, so let's reel this in a little bit. When
- 4:54the brain stops, does... It's not about the brain.
- 5:01It's about the soul. But do you think the soul
- 5:04is separate from the bodily functions? The brain
- 5:11and the neurons. What's creating thought right
- 5:15now? What do you think is creating thought? The
- 5:18brain. Okay. But the soul may have an influence?
- 5:22I don't know how this works. I don't know. I
- 5:24need to think, right? I can't talk to you if
- 5:25I don't have brain function. I can't think. I
- 5:29can't process what you're saying and then formulate
- 5:31a response. So do you think they're independent,
- 5:34so to speak, so that when the brain stops, the
- 5:38soul or whatever you're using to define the spirit
- 5:40that you're communicating with, do you think
- 5:42it can still process information and retain information?
- 5:49Where does it retain that information? I guess
- 5:51the question is, what is a soul? I'm asking what
- 5:55is the brain? We're asking different questions.
- 5:57The brain is in your head. Okay. All the neurons.
- 6:03I'm not even attempting to answer the question
- 6:05of what is a spirit or what is a soul. I'm asking
- 6:08that thing, whatever it is, whatever that thing
- 6:12is, if you want to define it as a soul or define
- 6:14it as a ghost. whatever it is, when a brain stops,
- 6:17can it still retain information and think? That's
- 6:24a big question. But it's less daunting. I'm so
- 6:26totally zoned out. I'm not repeating that. It
- 6:30was way too much for my brain to process, and
- 6:34I'm like, gone. So the answer is when Brianna
- 6:39unfortunately meets her demise, her brain will
- 6:42not be able to retain information because she
- 6:43already cannot. Yeah, I already can't. The intelligence
- 6:47is gone. So do you think intelligent hauntings
- 6:51rely on the intellect of the living? No, I'm
- 6:54kidding. That's not... I was going to say, that's...
- 6:57Okay, the way I frame this, at least to myself,
- 7:03and I think I mentioned this before, when you
- 7:06are watching a video online, a YouTube video,
- 7:12you can leave comments. that doesn't affect the
- 7:16video itself right because it's already posted
- 7:20right now if you're watching a live video the
- 7:24video whoever's behind the scenes can respond
- 7:26back so the comments have an influence on the
- 7:29video in the direction it goes so you could choose
- 7:31your own adventure remember those now we have
- 7:34tiktok lives um i kind of view that as kind of
- 7:40what i'm trying to get at with like residual
- 7:42versus intelligent hauntings where if you engage
- 7:45with an entity do you have an influence on them
- 7:49is it going to respond to you or is it just doing
- 7:53its thing and like another thing is like when
- 7:56people watch football games you ever see someone
- 7:58watching a game on the tv and they yell like
- 8:00pass the ball pass the ball regardless if the
- 8:03person actually passes the ball it has nothing
- 8:05to do with you telling it to pass the ball but
- 8:08how many people say pass the ball and they pass
- 8:10it and then they say yeah he passed the ball
- 8:12isn't that what we're doing with ghost hunting
- 8:13sometimes at least they give me that like sometimes
- 8:16we say what is your name and then we hear a name
- 8:20comes through the spirit box and we just assume
- 8:22it's an intelligent entity couldn't it just be
- 8:26they like would it have said its name regardless
- 8:30of like how how do you yeah how do you determine
- 8:34that it's aware of you and consciously responding
- 8:38as opposed to it would have just said that regardless
- 8:40or like i said before on last week's episode
- 8:43what if it's all just synchronistic responses
- 8:45yeah i feel like it's easier for most people
- 8:50to automatically assume intelligence based on
- 8:54like a possible back and forth synchronistic
- 8:59conversation than it is to say that it is some
- 9:03sort of residual um and that's why most things
- 9:08are labeled as intelligent hauntings but i don't
- 9:12know it's it's hard for me to wrap my brain around
- 9:16the possibility that these back and forth kind
- 9:20of conversations that we have sometimes are just
- 9:24coincidental like i don't know just some responses
- 9:28you get Don't always seem like something that
- 9:33would come up in an everyday conversation and
- 9:36leave traces as a residual energy or response.
- 9:41Like the one thing that keeps popping into my
- 9:45brain thinking about this, and I don't know if
- 9:48it would be spoilers talking about Parashini,
- 9:52when we had that back and forth EVP conversation.
- 10:00You know what I'm talking about? I do, I do.
- 10:03You can talk about it. Actually, I forgot about
- 10:06this. This isn't... Is this when we were separated?
- 10:10No, this is when we were all together. No, no,
- 10:12when we were all together in the cemetery the
- 10:14last time we were there. Talking with a child
- 10:16about the fire. Oh, yeah, yeah. And the one thing
- 10:20that keeps ringing in my brain was... We asked,
- 10:23we were having a back and forth conversation
- 10:25with little girl. We were doing an EVP session
- 10:28and we kept having responses to what we were
- 10:31saying. Of course, we weren't hearing them in
- 10:33the moment. So we'd have to go back and listen,
- 10:35change our conversation based on what the voice
- 10:39had said, ask more questions, get more responses.
- 10:44And we kept repeating that. And we got to one
- 10:46point where it's that we, where we asked, Oh,
- 10:48do you like to play games? And it's had said,
- 10:52ring around the rosy yeah but then we didn't
- 10:56hear that yet someone asked oh do you want to
- 10:59play tag and then it we heard a voice come through
- 11:03that said tag and then we never heard another
- 11:08evp yeah so as if it tagged someone that ran
- 11:11away as exactly like it's like oh i like ring
- 11:14around the rosy If it was residual, it would
- 11:16have said something along the lines of going
- 11:19with that theme. But someone else said, oh, do
- 11:21you want to play tag? And it had responded with
- 11:24tag. And then it acted like we got a voice that
- 11:29sounded like maybe it was engaging and playing,
- 11:31and then we never heard from it again. Because
- 11:35it ran off, and we were supposed to chase it.
- 11:39like to me that we never chased but we never
- 11:42did because who can do who we can't we never
- 11:45saw them we can't even see her play tag and also
- 11:49i it does not sound like a good idea to play
- 11:53tag with a ghost um to me i don't know really
- 11:58fun it's it sounds like something out of a horror
- 12:00story um anyways but like we have those sorts
- 12:06of interactions and I don't know, just to, like,
- 12:10be like, oh, that's just something coincidental
- 12:12or something, some sort of synchronicity that
- 12:15doesn't sit right. Like, that's intelligent.
- 12:20Like, you can't just change a conversation midway
- 12:23through and get a response that still has something
- 12:28to do with what you're saying. Like, you know
- 12:30what I mean? Yes, I know what you mean. The spoilers,
- 12:40yeah. That's fine. We needed to highlight that
- 12:44for the purposes of this. And I wager that's
- 12:46not even the most... No, that's not the most...
- 12:49We did so much with this film, both historically
- 12:52and hauntingly? Hauntingly? Lore -wise? Haunting
- 12:58-wise and history -wise, I would say that. Hauntings
- 13:02and history. haunting history it's the most in
- 13:05-depth uh investigation both historically and
- 13:08paranormal wise into the piercini ghost town
- 13:11legend you can follow the status of the film
- 13:15which is expected to come out in january actually
- 13:18um on facebook yeah facebook and instagram it's
- 13:22called piercini plague and tiktok and tiktok
- 13:25yeah so uh not too much on tiktok but we'll get
- 13:29there we're ramping up um as we get closer to
- 13:31january um but we did our final shoot uh not
- 13:34too long ago uh which is what brie was talking
- 13:37about so if you want to see some uh and hear
- 13:39some more updates and and whatnot uh definitely
- 13:43give that page a follow it's in the show notes
- 13:45below but getting back to intelligent hauntings
- 13:48do you think intelligent hauntings are rare i
- 13:52don't comment yeah I don't think they're as common
- 13:57as people think they are, but I don't think they're
- 14:00as rare as you think they are. Okay, that's a
- 14:03good answer. Did that interaction at Piers Cheney
- 14:06that you described, talking with a child, wanting
- 14:09to play tag, and you set it up as a good example
- 14:13of an intelligent interaction, did that feel
- 14:16special to you or more elevated than a different
- 14:19interaction? I mean, that... honestly, was one
- 14:25of the best EVP interaction conversations that
- 14:30I have ever witnessed in person on an investigation.
- 14:36How do you know you were talking to the little
- 14:38girl? We don't. How do you know the little girl
- 14:43knew you? They didn't know it was. Or knew you
- 14:47were talking to it. Because it was responding
- 14:50to the questions we were asking. but you see
- 14:56my point here not really get a response to a
- 15:00question you don't know what it is you're talking
- 15:04to so how do you extrapolate that because there's
- 15:07implications here and we're going to get into
- 15:09one that people don't really talk about in a
- 15:11second here but the biggest implication is if
- 15:13you say there's an intelligent haunting there
- 15:16and you're communicating with the ghost that
- 15:19means that when people die you can These people
- 15:26died hundreds of years ago. Hundreds of years
- 15:29into the future, you remain a little girl, and
- 15:33you can still not only talk to the living, comprehend
- 15:39the living, and engage with the living, and have
- 15:41full discourse with the living after you die
- 15:43hundreds of years later. That's the implication
- 15:46when you say it's intelligent haunting. Do you
- 15:50agree with everything that comes along with that?
- 15:53Comes along with what exactly? That. All that
- 15:56baggage. When you said that's an intelligent
- 15:58haunting, you're saying, I know that's a little
- 16:01girl that's aware of this conversation. We're
- 16:04aware of each other and the conversation we're
- 16:06having. And even though she died 200 years ago,
- 16:09she's still a little girl talking to me about
- 16:11playing tag. So, that's also the thing. Is, you
- 16:17could still claim it is an intelligent haunting.
- 16:21but it is also trying to deceive you by portraying
- 16:23itself as a little girl from the said time period.
- 16:27So there's the possibility. It could be something
- 16:31of intelligence trying to portray itself as something
- 16:35to communicate with you. And I didn't mean to
- 16:37put you on the spot there. I know. We can agree.
- 16:41Do we agree that it's definitionally intelligent?
- 16:44Yes. so we agree on that i think a lot of things
- 16:48can be definitionally intelligent and whether
- 16:50you believe it is a ghost whether you believe
- 16:54it is synchronicity whether you believe it's
- 16:56something inhuman that's kind of irrelevant because
- 17:00definitionally it's an intelligent haunting yeah
- 17:04yeah but i want to bring this up because this
- 17:08is like my main conundrum i was having i don't
- 17:11know why i'm in like an existential mood today,
- 17:13but this was the main conundrum I was having.
- 17:16There's an implication with intelligent hauntings
- 17:18that people don't really talk about. If it is
- 17:23an intelligent haunting you're interacting with,
- 17:25right? And we've been to places, we've talked
- 17:27about Simpson Hospital as a good example. We
- 17:30go there every year for the last eight years.
- 17:33We've been there over a dozen times. There are
- 17:36entities there that we talk to every time we
- 17:39go there. The stroke patient. Yes, there's Frank
- 17:44the stroke patient that we talk to every time.
- 17:47We have changed and evolved over the course of
- 17:49the eight years talking to Frank. If it isn't
- 17:52intelligent haunting, and he's said our names
- 17:55before, he knows our names, right? He recognizes
- 17:58us. Do these ghosts... I don't want to say do
- 18:02they age, because they clearly don't age. You're
- 18:05still a little girl hundreds of years later.
- 18:08But... Do they evolve? Clearly, is it really
- 18:15the case of as soon as they die, that's it? Because
- 18:19if they recognize us and they know our names
- 18:23the next time we go a year later, clearly they
- 18:26can retain some information. So... Yeah, I don't
- 18:32know. There's implications with this. So here's
- 18:36my... thought I don't know this is this is when
- 18:43we were talking about residual hauntings right
- 18:46and Angelo is comparing them to like sandwiches
- 18:50or apartments with different layers I like the
- 18:53apartments theory better where it's like a building
- 18:57where there's different stories and you have
- 19:00different timeline timelines on each story Who's
- 19:04to say an intelligent haunting isn't also shifting
- 19:08between those timelines? So what we're thinking
- 19:12is a spirit that passed away a hundred years
- 19:16ago. It could be only a couple days for them.
- 19:20Yeah. So in that sense, we could still be interacting
- 19:28with the living of them. Pause. No. Still the
- 19:38intelligent haunting. And it still has that consciousness
- 19:42of learning, but it still can shift between the
- 19:46different timelines, right? Between the different
- 19:49floors. I don't know. It hurts my brain to think
- 19:53about it that way. Wait, wait, wait. So is this
- 19:55a good analogy? Residual haunting is the dream.
- 19:59Intelligent is the lucid dream. Say that again?
- 20:03So you're still in a dream, but you are lucid
- 20:09in this dream and you can interact with the environment.
- 20:13Yes. As opposed to just be... Yes, yes, yes.
- 20:16So picture you as the ghost, right? You're a
- 20:20ghost, Angela. Ooh, spooky. I'm so scared. Are
- 20:22you talking about me being a ghost? Yeah, and
- 20:25then you're dreaming. If you're a ghost, right
- 20:28now. You're a ghost. You cease to exist. In this
- 20:31timeline, I'm a ghost. Right now. Right frickin'
- 20:34now. You talk about this timeline, though. Yes.
- 20:37The timeline where you need therapy. Right now.
- 20:40You didn't get the premonition in time that there
- 20:47was construction on the road and the cones fell
- 20:50on you and the little owl carried you to heaven.
- 20:55Okay. You right now are a ghost and you're dreaming
- 20:59as a ghost. If you are a residual ghost or a
- 21:04haunting, you would just be dreaming. If you're
- 21:06an intelligent haunting, you'd be lucid dreaming.
- 21:08That's my analogy. Sorry about the owls. How
- 21:11can a ghost dream? That's not my point. That's
- 21:15not the point. You know what? This might be too
- 21:19complex for Angela. No, no, no. Not too complex.
- 21:27So everyone's intelligence has been fluctuating
- 21:30through this conversation. Just wait for when
- 21:33she finds out the Rosicrucians weren't real,
- 21:35but they were real. I know what you mean. Okay,
- 21:41I need you to explain this like I'm a fucking
- 21:47toddler. Okay, so forget your ghost. This is
- 21:50just an analogy. A regular dream. A regular dream.
- 21:56is comparable to a residual haunting whereas
- 22:00like what i was talking where a lucid dream is
- 22:03comparable to an intelligent haunting and they
- 22:06can continually shift between the floors of time
- 22:12I get that. If only you said that the first time,
- 22:15it would have been so complicated. Okay, but
- 22:17you made her a ghost, and that's what complicated
- 22:20things, Ben. Yes. You didn't need to do that
- 22:24part. Why did I need to be a ghost for you to
- 22:27explain that? The POV is... Anyways. I'm about
- 22:34to have my sixth sense moment. I see dead people.
- 22:38You've been a ghost this whole time. Sorry if
- 22:42I spoiled a 40 -year -old movie for anyone. It's
- 22:46their fault for not seeing it yet. I know. You
- 22:49know that's the first horror movie I watched?
- 22:51Which movie? Sixth Sense. Oh, yeah. Good movie.
- 22:55That really threw me for a loop. Yeah, I wasn't
- 22:57expecting the ending. It was a good movie. I
- 23:01feel like we should watch it again. Yeah. You
- 23:03know, I saw something that ruined it. made it
- 23:06depressing. He was a ghost the whole time and
- 23:09he still clocked in to work every day. Isn't
- 23:11that so sad? Poor guy. He's in hell. He didn't
- 23:15make it to heaven. That's hell. That's purgatory.
- 23:17At least he can still see his kid, right? I guess.
- 23:23In a way. I don't want to talk about that. It's
- 23:26sad. This is such a sad episode. There's nothing
- 23:29fun in this episode. I don't know. I'm having
- 23:32fun. I'm sorry I got a little existential on
- 23:35this one. The Sixth Sense is just kind of sad.
- 23:40I don't know. Something about the Sixth Sense
- 23:42movie is kind of just off -putting. I don't like
- 23:47it. Yeah, because you find out everybody is dead.
- 23:50It is a sad movie. Would you rather M. Night
- 23:55Shyamalan make more Avatar movies? I mean, pick
- 23:58your battles. Get that out of here. No. That
- 24:01movie doesn't even exist. I've never seen Avatar.
- 24:06Okay, Hot Take Old was a good movie. I liked
- 24:09that movie. I don't know what movie that is.
- 24:12The one where they're stuck on that beach. On
- 24:14the beach in the age. That's a good movie. I
- 24:16saw it in the theaters. It was good. Have you
- 24:19ever seen Lady in the Water? No. That one's a
- 24:23good one. That was one of the first few he made.
- 24:26I highly recommend it. spookies animatronics
- 24:31in it and the like um prosthetic props for the
- 24:36creatures peak amazing loved them it was very
- 24:42whimsical and mysterious but also like suspenseful
- 24:45at the same time i shall have to give it angela
- 24:51let's watch that yeah okay so suspenseful and
- 24:58whimsical. That's our goal for next episode.
- 25:01This is our existential episode. Next time will
- 25:04be whimsical and suspenseful. I feel like all
- 25:07of our episodes end up existential in some sort.
- 25:11I don't count the sandwiches. Yes, it was, but
- 25:15we're still talking about sandwiches. And we
- 25:16can still post memes about cheese. Or the pickle
- 25:20on the top of the sandwich with the But the pickle
- 25:26can go in between layers. Like, the pickle is
- 25:28us or someone dreaming and going through the
- 25:32different layers of time. Yeah. I still, I like
- 25:36the building apartment analogy better than the
- 25:39sandwich. That makes more sense in my brain.
- 25:42It makes more sense, but the sandwich is more
- 25:44creative. Everyone would probably use, like,
- 25:46the building and apartment example, but no one
- 25:49else is going to use the sandwich example. That's
- 25:52the best point she's made all night. We are the
- 25:54only podcast, I think, on any of the platforms
- 25:59that spent a whole episode about residual hauntings
- 26:03talking more about sandwiches than hauntings.
- 26:07Yes, the sandwich layers. Does anyone else know
- 26:11what we're talking about? No. If someone asks,
- 26:13what are you talking about sandwich layers? They're
- 26:15going to say, listen to Paranormal Lens. I think
- 26:19we made a mistake dropping all the... metaphors
- 26:22in this episode, because we've been very straight
- 26:25and to the point and existential to, perhaps
- 26:28to a fault, but maybe this will be our most popular
- 26:30episode ever. And people are like, stay serious.
- 26:33You guys, you finally shut up about all the goofy
- 26:36stuff. I'm glad you all are taking this seriously.
- 26:38We do take this seriously. We just have fun.
- 26:41We just like to have fun. We have fun. Nothing
- 26:43wrong with that, people. If you don't like silliness,
- 26:46go listen to someone else. Yes. I'm sick of serious
- 26:50people. It's fucking annoying. Okay, Angela.
- 26:54Turn it down a little bit. Turn your ass down.
- 27:00What do you mean? Because I can be serious and
- 27:03so can you. Some people don't know the balance,
- 27:06right? Everything is a balance. Yes, there's
- 27:09balance. Even our dumbest episodes. Not going
- 27:13to name any names, but some of the topics. I
- 27:17went in thinking this is the dumbest topic. Yeah,
- 27:19like the owl ones. I wasn't naming names! But
- 27:24they ended up very creepy. So we talked about,
- 27:27ladies and gentlemen, if you're listening to
- 27:29this very serious episode, if you're one of the
- 27:30serious fans, we did an episode talking about
- 27:34owls and their connection to UFO sightings and
- 27:37ghosts. Okay, sure. Halfway through. It got really
- 27:41creepy really fast talking about the owls on
- 27:43the threshold and how they're threshold entities
- 27:45watching us and I got creeped out for the first
- 27:48and only time making this podcast. I think only
- 27:50you got creeped out. I did. It was a creepy episode.
- 27:53That was a creepy episode and it got serious.
- 27:56You have to at least acknowledge that that episode
- 27:58started off really silly and it got really serious.
- 28:04We're always balancing the two. Sometimes, like,
- 28:09we'll be, like, 75 % silly. Fuck, what's the
- 28:12math? 15? No. Gosh dang, you know what I mean!
- 28:17I don't even know what you're trying to do right
- 28:18now. Um, taking it back to the topic, any final
- 28:22thoughts before we wrap this up? I still think
- 28:25that were there to be an intelligent haunting
- 28:31really comes down to if the soul or whatever
- 28:36is afterlife or whatever has a conscience still
- 28:43and i feel like that's not a question we're going
- 28:45to be able to answer until no i don't think anyone's
- 28:47ever going to be able to answer that question
- 28:49there can only be theories to that question i
- 28:51don't like episodes where that's the final thought
- 28:53yeah that's not because that that's so open -ended
- 28:58What's your final thought? What's my final thought?
- 29:02That got deep. I don't know. I feel like I already
- 29:06kind of wrapped up my opinion on it and said
- 29:12that there's probably more interactions with
- 29:16residual than intelligent but probably less than
- 29:20you're thinking. And I agree that I think we've
- 29:25come to a place where definitionally a lot of
- 29:28things are definitionally intelligent and it's
- 29:31up to us to fill in the blanks on what that entails.
- 29:34I will say, as my final thought, we're talking
- 29:38about how we have all these bits and inside jokes
- 29:40that we continue to repeat ad nauseum on this
- 29:44podcast. If a ghost were to reference objectively
- 29:49to a third party, an inside joke. and bring it
- 29:53back to the bit like full circle you know if
- 29:56a if a ghost references an inside joke and has
- 30:00comedic timing and is observed and interpreted
- 30:05as you know the actual words being stated by
- 30:08a third party it isn't aware of this inside joke
- 30:11i think that would prove intelligent hauntings
- 30:14because it's all about the bits yes i think that
- 30:17would be hilarious i think it would be fantastic
- 30:22If you're a ghost who's listening. Another thought,
- 30:25another thought. Do you yawn? Go away. Another
- 30:30thought really quick. Might be too much, but
- 30:33do you think that maybe that what we think is
- 30:36an intelligent haunting is actually still a residual
- 30:41haunting, but we're just tapping into a form
- 30:44of residual haunting? Does that make sense? I
- 30:49think that's the point of Ben's whole argument.
- 30:53Yes. Okay, so I'm just saying it in a different
- 30:57way. Okay. Yes. Cool. Do you guys want to repeat
- 31:04anything again, or should we take it to the outro?
- 31:09Thanks for listening to this week's episode of
