- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Sponsors, Puesto, Mejkana Moderna home game on Monday means another opportunity to have Puesto.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: The food decision is made for you.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to be at the game on Monday night, section 116, and there is no better option.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: This is the best stadium food, which you go, okay, that's a little bar.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: Fine, it's just some of the best food period.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: My favorite restaurant, Puesto Mejkana Moderna, the Adler Brothers huge 40-manor fans,
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: So here's your options.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: You can get nachos or tacos or get both.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: But you can either do the chicken vera day or the short rib barbecue, which is a stadium exclusive.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: They also got the Puesto Classic guacamole and the classic cheese nachos Puesto.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: Mejcano Moderna.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's so good.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: Section 1-16 of the stadium.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going, if you're not, they got locations in the Bay Area and Southern California.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Check them out.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: Also, thank you to Volvo Cars Marin, Matt Gordon and his squad.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: I know Matt's coming to the game on Monday, looking forward to seeing him.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: We are in the XC-90, T8, plug in hybrid with the blonde interior, black exterior, the thing is sweet.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: We got the Napa C, it's with the air cooled.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: Then God, it's a plug and hybrid.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: I've only put gas in it once in two months, but almost two and a half months, whatever it is.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: But we love the car, it's safe, it's fun to drive, it's comfortable, baby loves it, wife loves it.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: If you're in the market for a new or used Volvo, Volvo cars, Marin.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: Hey guys, got here, and in a remarkable turn of events, the Seattle Seahawks, the poor sap, so I had to play at Mile High on Thursday night after playing that wild game with the 49ers of Lost in overtime, and are three and three, and some people are going to tell you the 49ers broke the Seahawks.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's not what happened because Seattle's not broke, and the reason they lost wasn't
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: because the 49ers broke them.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's because the schedule for them was brutal.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: They were this close to beating the 49ers and even if they had, they still might have lost.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I was actually pretty impressed with Seattle in terms of their ability to play physically.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: What cost Seattle is something else.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's a problem for Seattle.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: What cost Seattle is that their quarterback makes a lot of mistakes and they can't run the football.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: and the run game might get better, but it won't change the fact that when they match up with the 49ers, and again, the margin is then I don't want to rewrite history here, but when they match up with the 49ers, the 49ers have the better offensive play caller, they have the better quarterback.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: They even win Seattle's healthy at worst.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: I would say draw even with the Seattle running backs.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: The Seattle defensive line,
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: Hellraisers, but the 49ers defensive line caused a ruckus the other day pro-given so there goes Seattle's big advantage and Seattle's other big advantage a lot of games they play is well we got the best receiver on the field and you do like in most games
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: The other team would take your guy over there guy, but even if you say JSN is the number one receiver in the league and you know, in the long term, nobody would take Mike Evans over JSN.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: Fine, fair, whatever, but in your games or your game, Mike Evans is every bit the problem that JSN is.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: So they don't really have a clear cut advantage anywhere over the 49ers and now
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: they are in major chase mode, just like the Rams at two and three or in major chase mode.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: We talk so much about the nine or schedule coming out of Australia.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: And it turns out since they took care of business, now it has flipped.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: Now back into the year, no doubt, right?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: It not even back into the year.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, nothing's easy.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: You get washing you go to Atlanta.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: And we know you, you know, you go to Kansas City later than play Philly, but that games at home.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: But keep in mind
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: C-Ox have come up.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: It is not over.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: They had to go to Denver on a short week.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: Think about this.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: The C-Ox played on Thursday.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers just returned to practice on Thursday.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: Think about that.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: Thursday, because the 49ers played Monday, is Wednesday.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: So the 49ers had all this time off before a Thursday practice and the C-Ox had to play today.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: So what comes up?
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: See, I don't know, I got the chiefs.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: Then they've got the bears.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: And then the back of their schedules, at Philly, Rams at home, at Panthers across country, back across to play at the Rams.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: They don't even get, I mean, they'd rather go at Philly at Panthers and maybe stay out there, but I don't even get that courtesy.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: At Philly, back to the Rams.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: At the Panthers,
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I guess, add Philly back home and play the Rams at the Panthers and then back to LA.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: The Rams are about to go on a run, okay?
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: The Rams are two and three, they are about to rattle off some wins here.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: They got the cartels at home, they go to the Raiders, they got the Chargers at home.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, you know, those, that's basically three home games when you consider how easy the Vegas travel is.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Then they go to the commanders who might be dead by then.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: So, for the next five games, that aren't home games, but there's almost no travel when you add Arizona at the Raiders is negligible travel for an L.A. team.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: Now they're back in, they get the Packers.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: They got the Chiefs, they got the Niners, they got Dallas, right?
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: then they go to Seattle, then they go all the way across the country to Tampa, so the Rams and the Seahawks are both, this is not breaking news I know, but like they've just put themselves behind such the eight ball here, if the Natters can maintain a multi game lead over both of those teams and you don't let either L.A. or Seattle, because I don't care what you say about those two teams, like I think L.A. is still one of the
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: There's certainly one of the, in my mind, four best teams of the NFC.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think you could argue two best teams of the NFC.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think Seattle is same like easily a top four team in the NFC.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: If they could argue there one of the two best teams, certainly one of the, yeah, they could argue it.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: And they are like, let's not mistake how close that thing was.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: And as I said, let's not rewrite history here.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: they have some fatal flaws and you know the reason they won the Superlight I thought and I've said this I don't think the Broncos are any hot shakes and you know New England seems like they've got a little bit of life here But you know with that Super Bowl was shaping up to be Denver New England Seattle
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Again, whatever, there's no sense in re-litigating that, but it was going to be really hard for any of those three teams to look like a Super Bowl team again.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: Denver clearly is not, and the AFC's pretty tough, but you know, maybe, New England can pull it around, and Seattle, all of the sudden, same-downal stuff, throwing interceptions.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: in the postseason.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: Stop turning it over in the postseason.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Donald throwing a crunch time interception was unsurprising.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: At the end of regulation, the interception he threw to Tori Horton was terrible.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, truly one of the worst interceptions you'll ever see.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: Particularly because Tori Horton was wide-ass open as we like to say WAL, wide-ass open.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: Um, over the, uh, before you threw the ball, and then he weighed and weighed and then he threw it.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I think we spent so much of the offseason talking about like, was Kyle Shia to hand going to find the antidote.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: Was Brock pretty going to find the antidote, uh, for Seattle and Mike McDonald.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: And there's no question they spent a lot of time on it and they had a really good plan.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think they could run the ball better than they even did against Seattle the other day.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: What I came away saying from that game was, remember, it's really, it's a Jimmy's and Joe's game, not an XS and O's game.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: It is an XS and O's game, but it's really about the Jimmy's and the Joe's.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: The number of times where Seattle had a well-defended, but the night is one anyway.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: They won anyway with my govins.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: I got some good intel today in sight, Intel's such, Intel's good for the thumbnail.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: the the Christian McAfrey touchdown run after the Fred Warner forced fumble on the 11 line on the 11 yard line and Brock pretty goes up the line of scrimmage you can can can can can can he gets down low you remember that play gets down low so rental doesn't snap it can can can can can can can here's what happened on that play Seattle was in a certain look pretty check to the run play
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: Seattle did adjust out of the look, so Seattle adjusted to the 49ers run before the snap.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't tricked and guess what?
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Well, not guess, you already know what happened.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers blocked it up and scored the touchdown anyway.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: That was X is no short preparation, but that was Jimmy's and Joe's.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, when you watch Seattle today, like I was text with middle coffee, say, do they have tight ends?
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's like, yeah, they got Barner, but a royal got hurt and they're running backs, you know, they're down to guys, but it is, I understand what you're saying because it was the same thing.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: I was feeling come out of the game today, which is like, do they have any talent on offense?
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: I know they're down to backs, but
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: Other than JSN, of course, who is a superstar.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I felt like I was watching Steph Curry watch in that guy, because you can't touch it like, and now he's banged up tonight.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Clearly, of course, he was just in a war on Sunday with the 49ers, and I was going to go play the Broncos.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know, I've been talking about this since before the November game.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't love them, but their physical is hell.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: And, um,
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, like he's got no help.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: Who's their number to receive her?
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Cooper Cup, Tory Horton, Rashid Shaheed, Day Laksim Punch Man, and it's a credit to them that they still are one of the best teams in the NFC.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: But maybe they'll get a rhythm as time goes on, a little more time with the offensive coordinator.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: I, I just, you know, I think it's going to be really hard.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see what happens this week with the Raiders.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: They play the bills and if they lose their 3 and 3, they play the Rams, they're 3 and 4.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's October 25th.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: around that time.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think you still get a Josh Dubai the AP always knows these dates.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: So he'll text me and correct me.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: But you get a few more days.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's 12 days before the date to flex.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: A buck spares is not looking great right now.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: But I said this several weeks ago.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the way the Niners are playing and I know something night is going to get the night.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, would they want the Niners on something that I don't November 8th, even at the game on November 22nd?
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: They may not.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: The bears are still really attractive.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think Caleb has to be back by then, right?
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like it's trending.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: uh, unclear if he'll start this week.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, Caleb, you would think that's a big factor, like if you told NBC right now, Caleb Williams isn't going to play November 8th, but I like we are very much in flex territory, because the 40 matters are one of the biggest stories in the NFL, duh, they usually are.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so that game's in Flex territory for sure.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: So you're going to have the prime time game this week.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think if you're them, if you're the niders, you don't really want that game.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want the right of game flex to Sunday night.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to go to Dallas the following week.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: That Dallas trip.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: The 40 owners are going to leave.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: What is that?
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's week 10 November 15th.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: So the 40 owners will leave the day before for that.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: So it won't really shorten their week of prep.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe in other years you would leave two days early for Dallas.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: but the fact that on the back end of that Dallas trip you're going to spend a week in Colorado Springs and then go to Minnesota for again Sunday night football against the Vikings factors in.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean I know you're coming off a buy if you're then I know you really don't want to play.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think you don't want to play Sunday night football.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: You just want to have that evening knowing that you're going to be traveling the next week.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: Not a big one.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think it would make for an absolutely epic leave-by-state
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: Um, in a wild way for the Raiders return to the Bay Area, but I think that that like it's that's not affected by what happened on Thursday night, but it's just I do think it's great.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: And this is not, I this is not a Homer take I swear.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: So somebody check me on this if you think this is like, all right, got your being.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not, this is not a sensitive thing.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: It does surprise me when I listen to a podcast, like a national podcast, and it doesn't the Niners aren't one of the first four topics.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, let's talk about the box, here's what's going on with the box, here's what's going on.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: You want to talk about the bills?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the ramps, fine.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: Partly not because I think it's like the right thing to do.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: I just think it's good business, like they are just constantly one of the biggest content machines in the league.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if everyone realizes it.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: But again, that's not I'm very aware like I remember what I used to do.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oakland A's coverage like 2013 and the A's got in the playoffs and all of a sudden the playoffs started and they take off the tarps in the upper level and there's like way more media And people are complaining.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, you know, where were you guys?
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I always just remember observing it going like what a small time Mindset people want a suddenly come where were you guys?
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you've been here on a Tuesday night, I don't want I'm being paid to be here
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: but they don't move the needle.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, where were you guys?
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you mean where are you guys?
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: They've been at the bottom of the league in attendance in the 90s and they moved here.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: So there's no where were you guys?
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: Those guys, those are just, if you're good, you know, in this debate of, and I've always been consistent about this, but like, in the debate of what comes first.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: Should the fans support a bad team or does the bad team need to get good to bring the fans?
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: I've always supported the fans in that one, like, oh, it's just my job to come for seven straight years when you suck and just keep paying the money.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: College, a little like you got a, you know, college, it's like donations.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: So college a little bit, but in the pros, no, no, no, it's not cheap to earn my dollar, please.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I always use to crack me up with the A's like people would get so offended when people would finally show up It's like or you could give them a good experience.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that maybe they'd come back
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, maybe went, maybe went in the first round, maybe they'd come back, division around, maybe go to the LCS, maybe they'd come back to the little money, go to the LCS, maybe they'd come back, play up.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: Seven game series.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, but, so the four to the, I mean, wait, the four to the matters are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: they're the deal right now.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: The Vikings are also in the feted.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously the chiefs are very good.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: They're the deal.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: The bills, they're the deal.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: I still think the Rams are worthy of being in that conversation, but you know, they've got, they've got their flaws.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: from, did a 73 share Seahawks Niners in the Bay Area on Sunday.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: 73% of the available, and I know there's been, I think there's some changes to how they do the ratings and, you know, was streaming and I don't know, but the bottom line is, I think numbers are a little are inflated relative to what they used to be.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe not inflated the right word, but they're just bigger, more things are getting counted than they used to be.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: but a 73 share is an insane percentage.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: The percentage of available TV homes, maybe that definition to little off, but that are two, three, three quarters of the bearer who watch that game.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's a, that's an NFC championship game percentage.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: That is a massive, that is nine or's lines in the NFC title game almost, level percent.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think that game looks like a 78 share.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's a 73 share.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: This, it like, if you're doing content and you're not doing, and you're the bear, and you're not doing that, you're missing the boat, although maybe the baseball winter meetings are coming up.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, people like you should deny I've gotten this a lot in the last 48 hours, should the Niners trade for Joann Jennings?
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: And to me it's not an obvious yes, I'm not, I wouldn't be fired up about it before you even get to the Vikings element of it.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: Joann was a very productive player.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_00]: He was a really tough player.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: He was a physical player.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: And most importantly, and this is
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I, Brock Perti went to Brandon Cookson, some key spots, back to back actually.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: One was a touchdown that there was a timeout call, and then he goes back to him and throws a touchdown on a play that stood.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: Trust him.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I don't know how much trust there is for cowling.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Watkins burst back out a few weeks ago, but hasn't seen a target since.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: So that to me is the best argument for trade for joint gennings.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't Brock trust him, to me it's under a 50% shot you do that deal because you got like you got guys coming back I know you have to assume someone else is getting hurt but eventually you know it sounds like the Marcus Robinson's making some progress here
- 18:43[SPEAKER_00]: So you can get that room crowded real fast.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's get to the Vikings part of it.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's second on the team and receiver snaps.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: They've had a few different guys have missed a game here or they're Addison Jefferson.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, they are your main competition right now, so that's another reason for the Vikings not to do it and you play in a few weeks.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: Another reason for the Vikings not to do it.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: To me, the main reason for the Vikings not to do it.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: If you said Joanne Jennings is available on a trade.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: What kind of offers do you think you're getting?
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't send them more than a sixth.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's more expensive than what you got John Jennings for when you drafted him with four years of team control and he was cheaper.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: You just have to throw him pick, but whatever you can't worry about that now.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_00]: But the point is, if the Niners were all for six, surely somebody else would offer a seventh, maybe the market's not that hot, but you would think, you could get something.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: But then Anders offers isn't going to be so much better than somebody else's offer.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, for a variety of reasons, it seems very unlikely to me, even though it seems kind of obvious on paper, you know, I'm not in the, well, let's look, Cook's Cook.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: I said, I told you guys this, I thought Cook's was
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: When you go back and look at his year last year, it took him a few weeks and then he was often running.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: I thought Grant Cohen made a really funny video that day when he did like a doover on my instant reaction to my govins, on his instant reaction to signing my govins, it's because it's how I felt, too.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, oh my god, this guy's an absolute freak show.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: And him and Brock together are immediately, they have, they're one of the best combinations in the NFL period.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: like it is on with those two.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's it's only going to get better between them.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: I rather use that.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: I know the D lines been good.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'd rather use it up front on the defensive front interior.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like you just can't have enough.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: You cannot have enough.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like I know James Thompson Jr's coming back at some point soon.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's not getting Sebastian Valdez's roster active spot as far as I'm concerned the way that guys play Nick Juan Jones, maybe maybe he's taken his spot, but I think you can still use more.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: I know the collil match.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about collil The chargers are Like they might fire Mike McDonald apparently The collil match's getting traded and the reason collil match is gonna get traded It's cuz he's gonna be a fridge and he's costing them half a million dollars a game like to me
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: As soon as rather than later, I don't know, I'm sure Harba doesn't want to do it, but like the faster they trade Khalil Mac, the more money they save.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: And the better pick they get, you know, I think it's a fourth round pit, like when we talk about Khalil, it's not a second, it's a fourth or a fifth, fourth and a sixth, even fourth seems rich,
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's just not, it's not going to be a prohibitive expense, maybe Nick Boses back this week, sure sounds like it.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: Christian Kirk talked to the media.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't been holding my breath, but you know, they'll have a sense for, in the fact that you had multiple setbacks is alarming, but they'll have a sense for if,
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: they need to make a move at November 10th.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: So like you don't have to do it now is the deadline.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: You can give Christian Kirk some runway here and then decide.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: But I just, you know, I don't see it there to me another defensive lineman and that includes edge russure, interior russure, edge russure, like all that, all that's good.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: As far as I'm concerned, in terms of just like a useful use
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: useful use of capital.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: If you told me you got a receiver that can return, like is a really, really reliable, good, solid return.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: But Xavier Smith is on their roster and you know, he was a good returner.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be interesting.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like Brandon cooks has not returned punts in a long time.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's been several years and then do it a ton, which is surprising because if it's speed,
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: Just makes it look so I like when you suffer less when you see Rashid Chahid Catch a pint you're like oh my god like is that guy?
- 23:35[SPEAKER_00]: He looks like Kangaroo Virginia catching out Texas leaders like that.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: What that is?
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: So, you can't afford pop-pop, pet the glove on the thigh one hand up, you know, he just, he'd had one, like over shoulder turning, it was really impressive.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, that's, obviously the nighters and they don't have that right now, but they, you know, I think counting if he can overcome mentally,
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: The mistake the other day, he's, he's been pretty reliable as a, as a punt catcher in conclusion.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: The knives are in great shape.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: Can't give any of it back.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: If they lose games, they lose a game or games.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think it's ever because they don't take a game seriously.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Washington, you know, I don't want to follow the crowd on this one.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's very easy to say, Washington is about to wipe the floor with Washington.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's this close, right?
- 24:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's such a fine line between Washington almost one, the 40 that is almost lost.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: And if that was the case, then maybe we'd be looking at this game differently.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm a believer that in those fine line moments, some teams lose.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's what's alarming about Seattle.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_00]: Now, on the road in Denver, they're in a really tough spot.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: Niner game, tough spot, Washington game, tough spot.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, what's a common theme in a couple of those, same-downal, not protecting the football.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: So, there's a reason in the margins, they've lost this year.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: There's a reason, and I know Washington beat Seattle, but there's a reason in the margins, Washington has lost.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: There's a reason Washington lost the other day.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a freak accident the way they lost the other day.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: Just like all those years, I always felt like Mike McCarthy's really good coach, deck press cuts are really good quarterback, but give me Dallas in the playoffs any day of the week.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: They might throw for 480 yards, but give them the ball down four with a minute, 10 left.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: And let's see how that goes.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: And more often, not they shoot themselves in the foot.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: Or more often, not to do something silly on special teams.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, close losses can be an indication of you being close, close losses can also be an indication that you can't close.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't mean to use close and close spelled the same in the same way, but the 49ers mean while have closed this year.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers have been closers.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: You don't get a lot of credit for doing it against Arizona, but they closed.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: Denver, they closed.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: Last week's Seattle, they closed.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: They've been really good with the ball, you know, up a score, try to put a team away and they've done it.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_00]: I actually created a
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: Do you either score again?
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't end the game necessarily, but it just keeps the opponent at arms length.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: So do you either score again or do you finish the game with the ball and run the clock out?
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I have filtered those situations for situations where you have to pick up a first down.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if the other team turns it over on downs, for example, the end of the Seattle game, you don't get credit for that, because you just kneel it out, right?
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: But the Niners are four or four in those situations.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: Protecting a one score lead, can you put a drive together that ends the game or can you put a drive together that scores again?
- 27:24[SPEAKER_00]: Niners are four or four.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_00]: 100%.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's best in the league, 100%'s best in the league.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I, you know, some teams might be one of one.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't have that.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not looking at that leaderboard right now.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: But now there's a proven to be closers.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's, I think, five in all, you can't expect to win them all.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: But they're closers.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: Washington.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: So here's the deal.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_00]: You're a major favorite at home.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_00]: Seven and a half.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_00]: Will you overlook Washington?
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they don't overlook teams, the miners, under Calshian and veteran players, also Monday night football.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: So it's to the riders advantage that this is a prime time bright lights game.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: Because it just gives you one more reason to expect these guys will not overlook it.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you are down to major emotional dudes, right?
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, who are prime time players?
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: Depot and Drake Greenlaw.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like that Drake Greenlaw's suspension was upheld.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think you should consider two things that he already missed two and a half quarters of up all pretty serious and that Ernest Jones stuck his face into his face but you know if you said guy would you put your reputation, would you put your name on defending Jray Greenland that situation I'd go now let you have that one.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_00]: put yourself in that spot.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: Probably didn't help that you verbally accosted Sean Payton the week before.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: Probably didn't help that league.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's had some issues, the previous two weeks where they had to discipline officials.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: And so you're making
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: the job a lot hard on the officials when you do what Dr. Greenland did.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying those players would have all of that dynamic in their head, but that's part of the part of what the leaks think.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like to do you just scream to John Payton that I post game.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: and some of you can really have why does that matter I agree it doesn't but you know these are humans making judgments so we can either be mad about the fact that it shouldn't matter or recognize that you don't put yourself in those situations when you've probably put a little bit of a target on your back and then you do it at the time when officials of you know the fish two officials got in trouble the week before so league wants to clean that up and part of cleaning that up is not letting the players go too far
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, that sucks, but here's the one thing you can't quantify.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's a shame, Dan Snyder doesn't still own the commanders because Kyle Shanahan's desire to embarrass the organization is always a fun storyline when the 49ers played Washington.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that storyline's kind of gone, I think, but I don't know, it may not be.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: If I could put myself in Kyle's shoes and it wouldn't be gone for me, wouldn't be gone for me.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: So this Kyle tried harder because of that.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: No, now he loves Dan Quinn, so that's the tough one, right?
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: You run it up to score on these guys because it's tough.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: But the 49ers should control this game.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: They should dominate these guys.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_00]: Go to Atlanta.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be tough.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_00]: So you get this one.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: to me and then and then a new season starts because you go on on the road and now you start to play some some better teams again.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: As you know, you may remember this from two years ago, or maybe this year, I was not high on Washington two years ago, and I certainly was not high on them coming to this year.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't expect the Jane Daniels break out, last year we got hurt, then they changed coordinators, which is weird because he was good with that coordinator, but this is what happens.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: It hasn't been great.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: I got some good pliers though, they got some good pliers, and I think you can assume nothing is easy, but I expect the forenars to look good again.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: All right, that's that for this.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: I anticipated another show before Monday and I football.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: See how the weekend plays out.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think, uh, where's this schedule here?
- 31:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we're probably not going to see a lot out of, um, I'm just trying to get this weekend schedule up.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: before I go out of ram's cardinals, bears falcons.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's a get circle that game.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: Just want to see it, want to see the bears, want to see the falcons, the games in Atlanta.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: What else do I want to see?
- 31:58[SPEAKER_00]: Eagles Panthers in intriguing game.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: Titans, Colts, I think some of these games you're looking at from a trade perspective.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's the other thing with Washington to Ron Payne.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_00]: Just to Ron Payne.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: Have a good game.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_00]: If he does, and you win makes it more likely that you try to trade for him.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: Bill's Raiders, of course, major major game.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: Chargers chiefs, I guess similar, if they were to lose, that would be a major upset.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: If they win, countless packers.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_00]: on paper should do something for me.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean Packer sneakily suddenly three and two.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_00]: So All right, that's that for this great scene you guys.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for hanging and Hit that like button, subscribe to the channel.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_00]: Appreciate that very much.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk soon later
