- 0:16Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 0:17Speaker 2: You're doing good?
- 0:18Speaker 3: Thanks Mark. Oh yeah, the operations in Iran, the military,
- 0:24Speaker 3: naval and Air force operations have been going great. My
- 0:26Speaker 3: concern is about the There was a report last week
- 0:30Speaker 3: about California being.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Hit with you.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yeah, let me just clear that up. The report is
- 0:35Speaker 1: totally false, apparently totally false. ABC News getting a lot
- 0:39Speaker 1: of flak from the White House for spreading that story.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Absolutely missed, I missed that because Israel got hit with
- 0:46Speaker 3: drones with cluster bombs.
- 0:47Speaker 1: That there no, no, we know that the cluster bombs hit.
- 0:50Speaker 1: But here it is Caroline Levett yesterday going after ABC
- 0:54Speaker 1: news completely false report about a possible drone strike against California.
- 1:00Speaker 1: White House spokesman called the report totally misleading, totally false,
- 1:06Speaker 1: and there's no credible threat from anything anything to do
- 1:10Speaker 1: with that. ABC News has yet to apologize for it.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike in Florida, Mike, how you doing.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark Guess Mike.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I used to work over at the CBS building there
- 1:24Speaker 4: for many many years, and there was a small restroom
- 1:27Speaker 4: i've been away from the studios that I would use. Invariably,
- 1:31Speaker 4: I'd go in there and there would be Ernie doing,
- 1:34Speaker 4: you know, putting his own powder on. He wasn't It
- 1:37Speaker 4: wasn't makeup per se.
- 1:38Speaker 5: He was just powder and combing his hair in the
- 1:40Speaker 5: in the in the mirror, and it was just like
- 1:43Speaker 5: just showed how, you know, how down to earth he was.
- 1:46Speaker 5: You know that he wasn't one of these criminadas in
- 1:48Speaker 5: the makeup chapter seven Hours like some of the others over.
- 1:50Speaker 4: There, you know.
- 1:52Speaker 5: And it was always a he always got to I
- 1:53Speaker 5: always got to kick out of it.
- 1:56Speaker 4: There.
- 1:56Speaker 3: He is.
- 1:59Speaker 5: A guy of his statue, you know, especially.
- 2:01Speaker 1: All right, Mike, great call. Yes, some guys, some of
- 2:03Speaker 1: the biggest stars, like to do their own makeup. The
- 2:05Speaker 1: real reason is I do this myself. I put my
- 2:09Speaker 1: own makeup because if you sit in that chair, they're
- 2:11Speaker 1: all great, these makeup artists, they're really great, but you'll
- 2:14Speaker 1: be there for an hour and they'll put forty seven
- 2:16Speaker 1: thousand things on your face. They'll put endless stuff all
- 2:19Speaker 1: over your face, and then you need like after the show,
- 2:23Speaker 1: you need easy off, Like to get it off. It's
- 2:24Speaker 1: impossible and it goes all over your shirt and it's
- 2:27Speaker 1: a mess. But and most big, big, big, big, long, long,
- 2:31Speaker 1: long time TV stars, they knew exactly what they wanted
- 2:35Speaker 1: for makeup. They didn't want to have to explain it
- 2:37Speaker 1: to the makeup artists. They knew they want Max Studio
- 2:40Speaker 1: fixed thirty right here twenty five on this part of
- 2:42Speaker 1: their Let's go to Mike and bayside, Mike, how you doing, Hey.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Definitely, Anian asked, this was a ridiculous legend.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It's kind of like.
- 2:52Speaker 5: A guy that you if you wanted the truth, you
- 2:54Speaker 5: put him on.
- 2:55Speaker 2: And actually last night.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I was having dinner with my mother and our girlfriend
- 2:59Speaker 4: and and they were devastated to hear that he died.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Like you know, older people, and you know you're talking
- 3:05Speaker 5: about Johnny Carson.
- 3:06Speaker 2: You know, it would be great to have him around
- 3:09Speaker 2: to deal with because he doled it out fifty to fifty,
- 3:12Speaker 2: so he would he would definitely.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Make fun of Trump, but he would definitely make fun
- 3:15Speaker 1: of GDS people at LGBT, like he would kill both sides,
- 3:21Speaker 1: and yeah, that's the idea. You know, the only person
- 3:23Speaker 1: who does that today Jimmy Fayla. He got a great
- 3:26Speaker 1: show here every night at nine and Saturday nights on
- 3:29Speaker 1: the Fox News Channel ten o'clock. He does an opening monologue.
- 3:32Speaker 1: It's exactly like Carson fifty fifty, just like Jay Leno.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Half the jokes about the Democrats, half the jokes about
- 3:38Speaker 1: the Republicans. Now nobody knew if you could watch them
- 3:42Speaker 1: every night for twenty thirty years, Jay Leno, Johnny Carson
- 3:46Speaker 1: still had no idea where they stood politically, no idea,
- 3:50Speaker 1: And if you knew them, Like I said about Ernie,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I knew him as well as I know anybody. I
- 3:55Speaker 1: have no idea where he stood politically, no idea. You
- 4:00Speaker 1: Johnny Carson. I got the feeling that in real life
- 4:04Speaker 1: he was slightly like a million of I'm inch to
- 4:07Speaker 1: the left of center. But that's about it, jay Leno.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I from knowing him, I think was slightly, maybe a
- 4:14Speaker 1: billionth of a point to the right of center. But
- 4:17Speaker 1: otherwise you couldn't tell. Let's go to Bonnie and Tom's river. Bonnie,
- 4:21Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Hi, good morning, how are you good. My question is,
- 4:27Speaker 2: you know, with these shut well shut downs, it's so ridiculous.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Can't they put into law that whoever requests the shutdown
- 4:36Speaker 2: goes without pay, just like everybody else.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good idea. People have talked about that
- 4:42Speaker 1: if there's any kind of government shutdow where people aren't
- 4:44Speaker 1: getting paid, Congress should stop getting paid. It's a very
- 4:46Speaker 1: very good idea, would definitely speed things up. By the way,
- 4:50Speaker 1: this is Friday, at the end of the week. This
- 4:53Speaker 1: will be the first week where DHS employees don't get
- 4:55Speaker 1: a paycheck. Things were in place to keep them paid
- 4:58Speaker 1: for a while, but this will be the first tsa
- 5:01Speaker 1: DHS don't get their paycheck. We'll talk about the next
- 5:04Speaker 1: hour the ridiculous shutdown that's going on now. They got
- 5:09Speaker 1: to get this fixed in the next couple of weeks
- 5:11Speaker 1: because the second week of April, their Congress has gone
- 5:14Speaker 1: for Easter, and I think they're gone the first They're
- 5:16Speaker 1: gone like the first two weeks of April, so they
- 5:18Speaker 1: really only got two weeks left to fix this. Hey,
- 5:21Speaker 1: when we come back to Great Entertainment reporter Roger Friedman,
- 5:24Speaker 1: we'll talk about the oscars and a whole lot more
- 5:26Speaker 1: just ahead on seven to ten wor
