- 0:00Speaker 1: For unto us was the gospel preached as well as
- 0:03Speaker 1: unto them. But the word preached did not profit them
- 0:06Speaker 1: because their faith did not feed on the word.
- 0:09Speaker 2: The word of God is the life support of our faith.
- 0:13Speaker 1: We live by the word of God. Blessed be God
- 0:22Speaker 1: and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13, reading
- 0:26Speaker 1: from verse 5. Let your conversation be without covetousness, and
- 0:33Speaker 1: be content with such things as ye have. For he
- 0:36Speaker 1: hath said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.
- 0:40Speaker 1: So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper,
- 0:44Speaker 1: and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Remember them which have ruled over you. who have spoken
- 0:54Speaker 1: unto you the word of God, whose faith follow, considering
- 1:00Speaker 1: the end of their conversation. Considering the end of their what? Conversation.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Faith Feed episode 203. Considering the end of
- 1:17Speaker 1: the conversation. Considering their conversation. There are two things that
- 1:22Speaker 1: God proposed for man when created. And it's the fact
- 1:27Speaker 1: that man was meant to be a communication being and
- 1:30Speaker 1: an intentional being. That's why it says in Genesis 1, 26,
- 1:34Speaker 1: that let us make man. Let us make man. Let us.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And then let him have dominion. So you see the
- 1:44Speaker 1: product of communication and intentionality bestilled upon the template that
- 1:51Speaker 1: has been built to execute. This template many times isn't
- 1:56Speaker 1: successful because we do not consider the end of a conversation.
- 2:02Speaker 2: There is a purpose for why you exist.
- 2:04Speaker 1: There is a reason why God has brought you to
- 2:07Speaker 1: the face of the earth. And in order for you
- 2:09Speaker 1: to consider the end of the conversation, you must understand
- 2:13Speaker 1: the importance of communication and intention. This is the major
- 2:19Speaker 1: reason why many people, many believers are carried away with
- 2:22Speaker 1: diverse doctrines. If you read further, the Bible says in
- 2:25Speaker 1: verse 8, Jesus is the same yesterday, today. Verse 9,
- 2:28Speaker 1: be not carried about with diverse and strange doctrines, for it.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Is a good thing that the heart.
- 2:34Speaker 1: is established with grace and not with meat, you know,
- 2:36Speaker 1: where it is profitable. To there that have been occupied,
- 2:39Speaker 1: meat means the law, the practices, you know, and all that.
- 2:42Speaker 2: We are not saying that the law is bad, no.
- 2:44Speaker 1: We are saying that when the focus is moved from Jesus,
- 2:47Speaker 1: remember I begin and say, Jesus is the same yesterday
- 2:50Speaker 1: and today or forever. When the focus is moved, when
- 2:52Speaker 1: we are trying to modify the personality and identity of Christ,
- 2:57Speaker 1: it becomes an error. The gospel message cannot change anything.
- 3:01Speaker 1: The emphasis of the gospel cannot change. And if we
- 3:05Speaker 1: understand and get this right, we can order, we can
- 3:08Speaker 1: make sure that our communication and our intention is right.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Because once they are right, the end of the conversation
- 3:15Speaker 1: will be of the will of God. So the Bible
- 3:17Speaker 1: is saying that we should remember them that have, that
- 3:19Speaker 1: means there is a tendency to forget who have laid
- 3:23Speaker 1: the foundation, who are spiritual coverings, who are spiritual figures
- 3:29Speaker 1: over your life. It is you have the tendency toward
- 3:32Speaker 1: forget them. That's why it gives us an emphasis on
- 3:36Speaker 1: remembering them, the people who have ruled over us, considering
- 3:40Speaker 1: the end of their conversation.
- 3:43Speaker 2: That means there is an end matter.
- 3:45Speaker 1: We must pay attention to the intention and the communication
- 3:48Speaker 1: of their mannerism. What is this conversation we are talking about?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Galatians chapter 1, Paul speaking, says, Verse 13, For ye
- 3:55Speaker 1: have heard of my conversation, mark it, you have heard
- 3:57Speaker 1: of my conversation, which was in the time past in
- 3:59Speaker 1: the Jews' religion, That's how I persecuted the church and
- 4:03Speaker 1: wasted it and all that. Now understand, that means my
- 4:07Speaker 1: conversation was an action. Understand this, your conversation is an action.
- 4:12Speaker 1: That's why I say your action is a product of
- 4:15Speaker 1: your communication and intention.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Follow me.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Your actions, which Paul is describing as a conversation, which
- 4:22Speaker 1: is the conversation that we are trying to consider, is
- 4:25Speaker 1: a product of what? Communication and what? The intention of
- 4:29Speaker 1: a man. Philippians chapter 1 verse 27 says, Only let
- 4:33Speaker 1: your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ.
- 4:39Speaker 1: The gospel of Christ. That whether I come and see
- 4:42Speaker 1: you or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs,
- 4:45Speaker 1: that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind,
- 4:48Speaker 1: striving together for the faith of the gospel. He said,
- 4:53Speaker 1: let your conversation becometh, as of what? The gospel of Christ.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Bringing it into what we are talking about. Let your actions,
- 5:01Speaker 1: your communication, and your intention be as what? Becoming the
- 5:05Speaker 1: gospel of Christ. Your actions communicate and they reveal your intention.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So your conversation is not just your communication. Your conversation
- 5:13Speaker 1: is also your intention. What is revealed from what?
- 5:16Speaker 2: Within you. So that means we are meant to pay
- 5:20Speaker 2: close attention, consider.
- 5:22Speaker 1: We are meant to pay attention to the people that
- 5:26Speaker 1: we follow, their conversation, the communication of our leaders, of
- 5:31Speaker 1: the people that have rule over us, mentors. We are
- 5:33Speaker 1: meant to pay attention to them and not just carry
- 5:36Speaker 1: their words.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Oh, because, no, we are meant to.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Consider, consider, considering the end of their conversation. Yes, because
- 5:45Speaker 1: many people can have good intentions. but wrong communication. And
- 5:50Speaker 1: once you have wrong communication, everything scatters away. The same
- 5:53Speaker 1: thing with the open. Someone can have good communication, but
- 5:56Speaker 1: wrong intention. And once one side is wrong, the conversation,
- 6:00Speaker 1: the end of the conversation is what has been altered.
- 6:03Speaker 1: 1 Peter 1, verse 15. But as he which called
- 6:07Speaker 1: you is holy, that's God that called you is holy,
- 6:10Speaker 1: be ye also holy in all, not some, not few,
- 6:13Speaker 1: in all manner of conversation. Now, there are four key
- 6:19Speaker 1: things we must consider to consider.
- 6:23Speaker 2: The end of what? A conversation.
- 6:26Speaker 1: 2 Corinthians 1, verse 12. For our rejoicing is this,
- 6:32Speaker 1: the testimony of our conscience. Mark the word conscience. That
- 6:39Speaker 1: in simplicity, number one, simplicity. And godly sincerity. Number two, sincerity.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Not with fleshly wisdom. Number three, wisdom. But by the
- 6:50Speaker 1: grace of God. Number four, grace. We have had our
- 6:54Speaker 1: conversation in the world and more abundantly to you all. Now, see,
- 6:58Speaker 1: the first thing we must consider is the simplicity of
- 7:02Speaker 1: the mannerism. The manner of the conversation. Remember, conversation is what?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Communication and intention.
- 7:07Speaker 2: The simplicity. What is simplicity? That's humility. Not self-seeking. Singleness
- 7:12Speaker 2: of heart. The next is sincerity. What's sincerity? Truthfulness. That
- 7:17Speaker 2: is cleanness of heart. Pure.
- 7:20Speaker 1: So in as much as you're not self-sick, you also
- 7:22Speaker 1: have to be truthful. When the Bible says purify your
- 7:25Speaker 1: soul by obeying the truth, you have to learn that
- 7:27Speaker 1: system of what?
- 7:28Speaker 2: Godly sincerity. Number three, the wisdom of God. Wisdom. The
- 7:33Speaker 2: fear of the Lord is the beginning of what? Wisdom.
- 7:37Speaker 1: So seeking the wisdom of God. James 1, if any
- 7:40Speaker 1: of you lack wisdom, you should ask. So you have
- 7:42Speaker 1: to consider James 3, verse 13.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you?
- 7:50Speaker 2: Who is a wise man? So what are the characteristics
- 7:52Speaker 2: of a wise man? He says, let him show.
- 7:54Speaker 1: So let this wise man, if you know you're wise,
- 7:56Speaker 1: if you know you have the wisdom of God, you say,
- 7:58Speaker 1: show out of a good conversation. Remember what we talked about,
- 8:03Speaker 1: that is conversation. Out of conversation, his works with meekness
- 8:06Speaker 1: of wisdom. Then the next one is grace of God.
- 8:10Speaker 1: So you need the spirit of grace. That means you
- 8:13Speaker 1: must not be judgmental. When it comes to it, you
- 8:15Speaker 1: must not... It doesn't mean you will not have discernment.
- 8:18Speaker 1: He that is spiritual has judged all things, but he
- 8:20Speaker 1: himself is judged of no man. That is totally different
- 8:23Speaker 1: from having a judgmental spirit. Remember, Jesus said, judge not
- 8:26Speaker 1: so that you will not be judged. He's talking from
- 8:29Speaker 1: a place of people that have judgmental spirit and they
- 8:33Speaker 1: exist all around us, even some believers.
- 8:36Speaker 2: So remember.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Number one, simplicity, humility, sincerity, truthfulness, wisdom, fear of God,
- 8:42Speaker 1: and the grace of God. You can be able to
- 8:46Speaker 1: consider effectively the end of what? Any conversation. Remember what
