Lafayette Campaign Sign Rules | Lafayette Louisiana News
Campaign signs in Lafayette are coming soon—starting August 5th, candidates can legally display temporary signs 90 days before Election Day (November 3rd), but they must come down 10 days after. Signs can only go on private property with owner permission—no public land, road shoulders, or medians. Size limits vary: 12 sq ft for residential zones, up to 32 sq ft elsewhere. Violations? You get a 7-day grace period to fix it—or the city removes and holds the sign for 30 days. Report issues via MGO Connect Portal or call 311. Stay compliant to keep roads safe and elections fair.
