- 0:39Speaker 3: how they're really leaning into the liver and and Shirley
- 0:41Speaker 3: that I put on my closest liver And and Shirley sweater.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Doesn't have the l gorgeous, but it does button across
- 0:50Speaker 3: the neck in such a comfortable way.
- 0:53Speaker 2: It's a like what would you call it? Okay scoop
- 0:57Speaker 2: neck And then there's a piece of fabric that buttons
- 1:00Speaker 2: across the right the neck, you know, like you're not
- 1:05Speaker 2: your Adam's Apple, but if you were to have an
- 1:07Speaker 2: Adam's Apple.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Yeah, we're your Adam's apple. This is yeah.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I think anybody could do anybody.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Anybody could be uncomfortable in this sweater.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Now itchy is it?
- 1:19Speaker 3: It is not itchy, but I yeah, I think well,
- 1:23Speaker 3: this sweater is probably forty over forty five years old
- 1:27Speaker 3: and it smells great.

- 2:53Speaker 2: She has put together an agenda and an itinerary that
- 2:58Speaker 2: is tight, it's snatched. Okay, she's going from one place
- 3:02Speaker 2: to the other, and I don't And I think it's great.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Don't leave these ladies time to to talk shit. They
- 3:08Speaker 2: can talk shit in the sprinter van, you know.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I love it because it's also like we're not
- 3:15Speaker 3: getting the normal like spa day on the girls trip, right,
- 3:19Speaker 3: there's some time we are seeing the city.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Yes, it's a great city, and you're getting the map,
- 3:25Speaker 2: you're seeing how far away the Miller Brewing Company is
- 3:28Speaker 2: to Yes, Tricksy's drag show is Yeah, you're really getting
- 3:33Speaker 2: shown to Milwaukee at its finest and at its best.
- 3:37Speaker 3: You're getting Harley, which is also you know what I mean,
- 3:40Speaker 3: like I'm only Harley girl. There's the Great Coler I
- 3:45Speaker 3: really thought, because it's like maybe an hour outside in Milwaukee.
- 3:48Speaker 3: There's the Coler Wisconsin like five star hotel, which meaning.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Like the fixtures, the yes, that of Coler.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, and I thought, oh, I bet they're going
- 4:02Speaker 3: to go there. There's like a ropes course there too.
- 4:05Speaker 3: But then I was like, oh they.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Just oh my god, that's so funny. They have a
- 4:09Speaker 2: ropes course and Colar wait, yes, have you you been there?
- 4:14Speaker 3: I have, but not to the ropes course. Like it's
- 4:16Speaker 3: all this it's it's a pretty big resort and it's
- 4:20Speaker 3: really nice and it's a Colar resort. Yeah, it's like
- 4:25Speaker 3: it's like, oh yeah really, But so I thought, oh,
- 4:28Speaker 3: I bet they're going to go there, but no, Whitney
- 4:30Speaker 3: kept it right in Milwaukee. Right.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, now you got me thinking about Colar. I
- 4:38Speaker 2: want to go. I want to get a nice sink.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I want to get a nice sink fixture for every
- 4:42Speaker 2: room in my home. I would love to be welcomed
- 4:44Speaker 2: into a Colar resort. I mean, think about the fixtures
- 4:48Speaker 2: in the spa, Like you're going to be getting the best.
- 4:52Speaker 3: The best Coler has to offer.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Hashtag not an ad Coler. Give us a call. The
- 4:57Speaker 2: Darlings would love to hit up your resort. We won't
- 5:02Speaker 2: even step foot into Milwaukee. We promise we'll stay over
- 5:05Speaker 2: the keep it in color. Oh wow, Emily, we've got
- 5:11Speaker 2: We've got like slogans for you already.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Call us with a k K A L l Us
- 5:18Speaker 3: Coler call Us call Us color.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Wow, this is the next level. I'm going to reach
- 5:27Speaker 2: out to them. Yeah, why not do it?
- 5:29Speaker 3: So what happens?
- 5:30Speaker 2: I did love it like they had a great time.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I mean it seems like and even Mary. But anyway,
- 5:37Speaker 2: the cold open, the not the Coler open, but the
- 5:41Speaker 2: cold open of the Lavern and Shirley music, Heather and Whitney,
- 5:46Speaker 2: the cousins who have fought, who have been through it
- 5:50Speaker 2: all came together and they got into that bottle capping factory. Well,
- 5:57Speaker 2: I mean it was Miller right, so it wasn't exactly
- 6:00Speaker 2: bottle capping, but maybe it was the bottle capping station.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Well, I loved everything. I needed the glove on the
- 6:08Speaker 3: bottle because that is pretty iconic in the Laverne and
- 6:12Speaker 3: Shirly opening. So I was all about it. That's only
- 6:14Speaker 3: that's my.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Only a that is a great note. And I noticed
- 6:18Speaker 2: it too, Emily. It stuck out. It stuck out like
- 6:21Speaker 2: a sore, blown up glove thumb. And I will say,
- 6:26Speaker 2: I wonder if there's some kind of trademark around that,
- 6:30Speaker 2: just because it is such an iconic moment.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Or just like hey, we're actually brewing beer here, and
- 6:37Speaker 3: that's a health code violation. So you can't put your
- 6:40Speaker 3: sweaty glove on top of this bottle. That's or that. Yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 3: I mean we're somewhere in there.
- 6:46Speaker 2: In the eighties, they didn't care. They're like, it's the seventies,
- 6:49Speaker 2: wasn't it. Oh right, you're right, Yeah it had Yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 2: it was the seventies because.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Everything changed in the eighties in terms of help.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Health coat safety. First in the factory known in Milwaukee
- 7:01Speaker 2: Lige turning point you know for them. In fact, Laverna
- 7:05Speaker 2: and Shirley put him on the map for safety violations.
- 7:08Speaker 3: So that's yep.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I mean everybody in mill everyone around the world was
- 7:17Speaker 2: like they're dirty, They're dirty, You're dirty. Wow, God, I
- 7:28Speaker 2: love Lavernon Shirley and like Lenny and Squiggy are you kidding?
- 7:32Speaker 3: I know wow, I still say hello, it's great.
- 7:41Speaker 2: And then the pizza parlor, those guys over there.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Yeah, all the guys, all the crossovers with all the
- 7:47Speaker 3: other Gary Marshall jaunts, happy days.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I mean, it doesn't stop. I have to say, like
- 7:54Speaker 2: you you're you're like hey, hair, that's something that stuck
- 7:58Speaker 2: with you for me. It's if I ever open a
- 8:01Speaker 2: door and someone else opens a door that hits boom,
- 8:05Speaker 2: you know what I mean. I'm like, we're gonna do it.
- 8:09Speaker 2: That's my favorite. And what is she doing in the closet?
- 8:13Speaker 3: Guys?
- 8:13Speaker 2: Come on, it's so good.
- 8:16Speaker 3: It was crazy Janet over there. It really would be.
- 8:20Speaker 2: It was you know, drama, drama, drama. So the cold
- 8:24Speaker 2: open was fantastic and I love it. They have to think,
- 8:27Speaker 2: like you have to embrace the fact that, yeah, when
- 8:30Speaker 2: these ladies find out we're going to Milwaukee, is this
- 8:33Speaker 2: gonna be is gonna be a dud? Is this gonna
- 8:36Speaker 2: be a dud city? Because it's not you know what
- 8:38Speaker 2: it isn't you know what it isn't.
- 8:40Speaker 3: He's important And I love It's not.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I beat that. So like, how glamorous is it gonna get?
- 8:48Speaker 2: You know what are we gonna do here? Is this
- 8:50Speaker 2: an embarrassment to the real Housewise franchise because this is
- 8:53Speaker 2: your cast trip? No? And I'd like to say no, Darry. Yeah,
- 8:58Speaker 2: I'm saying to the NASA, the naysayers and the housewives
- 9:01Speaker 2: themselves that think that maybe they're too good to go
- 9:05Speaker 2: to a Midwest city.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Like they not too good? But that they should be
- 9:09Speaker 3: going abroad. Yes, right to Ax.
- 9:12Speaker 2: That's what I'm trying to say. And what I would
- 9:15Speaker 2: say is this is where they shine. You know, this
- 9:17Speaker 2: is where you're going to get a cold open like that.
- 9:20Speaker 2: You're not going to get that in Ibiza. You know,
- 9:22Speaker 2: you're just not. So this is we happy to try it.
- 9:26Speaker 3: I can think you could de la vernon Shirley opening
- 9:29Speaker 3: and I beat the.
- 9:33Speaker 2: And you want to hear the recap. I'm sailing yet
- 9:37Speaker 2: it's the Patreon we did yesterday. So Maranath tells Lisa,
- 9:45Speaker 2: she just she grabs her. Can I steal you for
- 9:47Speaker 2: a minute? And it's just like Bachelor. They're in the room.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Meredith's telling Lisa that Angie and Whitney were warning her
- 9:54Speaker 2: about Lisa about like you know, and then we get
- 9:58Speaker 2: that flashback and and she and Whitney just what is
- 10:01Speaker 2: there just obvious agenda here where they're like, are you
- 10:05Speaker 2: sure that you trust Lisa again? After it she said,
- 10:09Speaker 2: you're brave about everything she said about you, like in
- 10:13Speaker 2: New York Control for your gonna be Okayworthors.
- 10:18Speaker 3: I didn't even know Angie talked to Meredith. That's where
- 10:21Speaker 3: I was like, wait, I what happened like that? What
- 10:25Speaker 3: happened that was do.
- 10:27Speaker 2: You mean Lisa, you didn't know that she talked to Lisa?
- 10:30Speaker 3: No, and she yeah, she hates Meredith. Up until this point.
- 10:36Speaker 3: She has used every opportunity to come at Meredith with
- 10:39Speaker 3: the hundred guns, and so all of a sudden she's
- 10:42Speaker 3: gonna like confide in Meredith. Like whatever she said to Meredith,
- 10:46Speaker 3: she wanted to get back to Lisa because Meredith has
- 10:49Speaker 3: zero loyalty to Angie. So I was like, well, this
- 10:52Speaker 3: is weird.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I think I think Angie just sidled up to Whitney
- 10:56Speaker 2: and was like, yeah, sure, I'm not doing anything right
- 10:58Speaker 2: now for old Gordon stroke some shruit. What are we
- 11:02Speaker 2: doing over? When he's like I need a winged woman?
- 11:06Speaker 2: Can you come to with me? Just tell this Tonat
- 11:09Speaker 2: that's this and then so merediths just like hmm right,
- 11:16Speaker 2: So she just pockets the information and then Lisa tell
- 11:23Speaker 2: the beast. When Whitney goes into Lisa's roman, she's getting
- 11:27Speaker 2: glammed up that she's had her glam for her entire
- 11:30Speaker 2: life since she was born. She came out of the land, yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 2: m hmm, and Whitney's like, we're going to the kids
- 11:39Speaker 2: and we're going to the becps. I literally was like,
- 11:46Speaker 2: you're going to the Bear Caves because I couldn't tell
- 11:48Speaker 2: with her Utah accent, we're going to the beck Capes.
- 11:52Speaker 2: And then Lisa is like, yeah, I have other ideas,
- 12:01Speaker 2: and it was just like that awkwardness between the two
- 12:04Speaker 2: of them was crazy.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I didn't understand why Whitney was so like guarded around
- 12:10Speaker 3: a GLAM team like that was weird to me that
- 12:13Speaker 3: she was like, Oh, I'm not gonna ask one follow
- 12:16Speaker 3: up question. This is fine, but you know that Clam. Yeah,
- 12:21Speaker 3: I would never disrespect Gleam.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Glem, I'm sorry that you have to hear this. Are
- 12:31Speaker 2: you offended? Did I offended you? Sorry? Clem?
- 12:36Speaker 3: I about you, Clem, I.
- 12:43Speaker 2: About you, Harley.
- 12:45Speaker 3: I would never cancel Glem.
- 12:50Speaker 2: But wait, if you aren't going to the Bear kiss
- 12:53Speaker 2: then why are you getting Gleam. I'm sorry, Glem. I
- 12:56Speaker 2: don't mean to disrespect and ask that question, but what
- 12:59Speaker 2: are you going with that with your Glem? Is it
- 13:04Speaker 2: because I did not invite Clem to the Bear.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Case them you are always invited Now I'm making your British.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Yeah, this is why you're the pro Phillips. No, your
- 13:21Speaker 2: head's just in the Great British Baking. Yeah, your head
- 13:24Speaker 2: is over there. You are. We need to settle you
- 13:27Speaker 2: down for a second. Okay, can you get your head
- 13:29Speaker 2: in the game here? I know you're in a dad episode.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Was nuts, Emily.
- 13:33Speaker 2: We will get there, okay, I mean the oh, look
- 13:39Speaker 2: about it. Technical spoiler spoiler alert trigger warning.
- 13:45Speaker 3: By the way, I was, uh, maybe not believing Bronwyn
- 13:49Speaker 3: about her husband's age, and until it cuts from Lisa
- 13:54Speaker 3: and Whitney to Bronwyn doing a FaceTime with her husband
- 13:57Speaker 3: and the phone is a close up of his ear
- 14:00Speaker 3: inside of his neck.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Ah.
- 14:02Speaker 3: No, he's a baby boomer, a poor god.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Proof is in the face time. You never you can't
- 14:15Speaker 2: cheat FaceTime. All things come into light in the face time.
- 14:21Speaker 3: We're not born with that part of their brain to
- 14:24Speaker 3: understand a FaceTime angle.
- 14:27Speaker 2: He's a boomer, He's a booms He's a booms. Uh yeah,
- 14:32Speaker 2: So Whitney's like a cat and then like backs out
- 14:39Speaker 2: slowly and then it's just so funny to me how
- 14:45Speaker 2: Lisa's like, uh they end up going curling, which to
- 14:50Speaker 2: me is like, well, I mean, I don't less necessarily
- 14:53Speaker 2: always like to pull back the curtain. But was this
- 14:57Speaker 2: activity planned that the producer had set up ahead of
- 15:01Speaker 2: time in case the ladies wanted to split and it
- 15:03Speaker 2: was just like they're in the background, or how I think.
- 15:06Speaker 3: I think at all of these things, they've got to
- 15:09Speaker 3: have a backup, Like why wouldn't you something happens like
- 15:14Speaker 3: have a couple things like I don't know if this
- 15:17Speaker 3: guy was going to originally do the tour, Like I
- 15:21Speaker 3: guarantee you this was a backup.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Okay, got it right? Right? That makes sense? Yeah, So yeah,
- 15:28Speaker 2: Whitney's like, you're not gonna curling, are you. Lisa's like yeah, wait,
- 15:38Speaker 2: it's hard to go from Angie and Lisa like mess
- 15:41Speaker 2: up anyway, So she takes Brittani Encyclopaedia Brittani and Melee Melee, Melee, Melee? Hey,
- 15:50Speaker 2: what is it? Is it Melee or Melee?
- 15:53Speaker 3: I think it's a Melee. It's a Melee Melee Okay,
- 15:58Speaker 3: I spelled it fanatically? Oh good, And so I think
- 16:02Speaker 3: it's Melee. But it also looks like the way you
- 16:04Speaker 3: would spell melee, right, I know.
- 16:08Speaker 2: So they are curling, but in.
- 16:10Speaker 3: The I don't think that Melee knew that that was
- 16:14Speaker 3: going to be a diss to Whitney. I think she's
- 16:16Speaker 3: so just was going right.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Yeah, She's like, oh yeah, so this is like a
- 16:21Speaker 2: planned activity. Yeah yeah, And.
- 16:24Speaker 3: All the producers immediately stop making eye contact with her
- 16:28Speaker 3: because they knew this was really going to piss Whitney off.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, oh okay.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Just let this happen. Yes, Lisa's like, yeah, who can
- 16:37Speaker 2: I take? That's not going Oh, I'll take these newbies.
- 16:41Speaker 2: They'll do whatever I say. They don't know what's going on, yeah, doctly.
- 16:47Speaker 2: So she grabs those those two newbies. But in the
- 16:50Speaker 2: sprinter van on the way to the Bear Caves, Whitney's like,
- 16:57Speaker 2: it's so weird. Did the only thing that would make
- 16:59Speaker 2: Sun says if Meredith you told her that we were
- 17:02Speaker 2: talking about her last night, And she's like yeah, fig
- 17:06Speaker 2: don so, wow, you really cracked that case wide open, Whitney,
- 17:14Speaker 2: I mean, what did you think was gonna happen today?
- 17:18Speaker 2: By doing this.
- 17:20Speaker 3: The person that we least trust probably disrespected us. I
- 17:25Speaker 3: can't believe it. Like again, she wanted that message to
- 17:28Speaker 3: get right on back to Lisa. Yeah, I mean that's
- 17:31Speaker 3: both of them.
- 17:31Speaker 2: One hundred person. Yeah, there wasn't enough room in the
- 17:35Speaker 2: bear Cave for this for everybody. So they had to
- 17:38Speaker 2: split up the group. I mean they ended a savantage.
- 17:42Speaker 3: You think that was Whitney's plan.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I don't know, No, I have no idea.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Yeah, but it was. It was a quick change up
- 17:51Speaker 3: there was It wasn't like that there was place settings
- 17:53Speaker 3: there for the other gals. So maybe maybe that meybe
- 18:00Speaker 3: she had something in mind. Who knows. I don't think
- 18:02Speaker 3: Whitney said calculated. I mean she is, but not.
- 18:05Speaker 2: That I'm like, oh, she totally is, but maybe not
- 18:08Speaker 2: like with these types of logistics, you know, right, yeah,
- 18:12Speaker 2: meredis like I mainly have the sagrain. We're gonna telling
- 18:17Speaker 2: chamber something is happening. Swirm. Meanwhile, her voice is just
- 18:26Speaker 2: blending into the sound the sprinter van. Sorry, I can't
- 18:31Speaker 2: understand what you're saying. Is that the engine there is
- 18:34Speaker 2: that you're talking. Meanwhile, we're gonna do it. We're the
- 18:42Speaker 2: Miller Bear Beer. Now I've got it, saying Bear back.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Beer, Miller, Heller, the helling cive.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Okay, Butler helling okay, Miller hell life, ha ha ha,
- 19:02Speaker 2: Mela hell Life. And then we also have beer, beer
- 19:08Speaker 2: and cheese tasting along with all of these things, we
- 19:11Speaker 2: learn that before refrigeration, this is how they kept their
- 19:14Speaker 2: beer's cold in these caves, which is fabulous. It is
- 19:17Speaker 2: the Champagne of beer, which really piques Mary's interest because
- 19:21Speaker 2: she's never had beer before.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Or heard that slogan for the company, or heard of
- 19:28Speaker 3: Miller High Life, which now she thinks is like very premium.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Oh, what's so great?
- 19:35Speaker 3: I love that.
- 19:35Speaker 2: When she got that Summer Shandy Shanty and Shandy Shandy,
- 19:41Speaker 2: she was like, oh, Regal, I loved it. It's so good.
- 19:48Speaker 3: She keep that palette wets. She could tell that Bonker's
- 19:52Speaker 3: fake Jeffrey Dahmer's story.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Again, Wow, we're going on?
- 19:57Speaker 3: Does not? I mean, come on, Like you could fact
- 20:01Speaker 3: check that in two seconds? Mary like, let's go, what
- 20:04Speaker 3: are you doing? I mean? And he would spell things
- 20:09Speaker 3: and turns out the tour guys were like, uh, they
- 20:15Speaker 3: need a little pep in their stuff. Anyway, that was.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Character acting like that. Were those are some characters that
- 20:22Speaker 2: I want to bring to the table next time I
- 20:24Speaker 2: hit that stage. You know, maybe.
- 20:29Speaker 3: They were also monotone. One was more monotone than the next.
- 20:32Speaker 2: In the beer cave, Welcome to the Miller eylight tour.
- 20:39Speaker 2: You're say ghost you take it from here, Ellenie. You
- 20:47Speaker 2: might you might be saying to yourself our ghosts real.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Well we are here to say maybe follow us on
- 20:56Speaker 2: our spooky tour through the caves. Boom, we scare you. Wow,
- 21:03Speaker 2: there might be more of that around the corner. Hey,
- 21:07Speaker 2: is that a shadow or is that an advarition? You
- 21:11Speaker 2: take it? Melanie?
- 21:14Speaker 3: Oh, Melanie's dead. Melanie Melanie died. Now she is a ghost.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Maybe they were all ghosts.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Who the tour guides are ghosts?
- 21:26Speaker 3: Okay, that makes a lot.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Yeah, they had the life sucked out of them.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Yeah. I didn't put it together un till now, but yeah,
- 21:34Speaker 3: this is what happens.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Like.
- 21:35Speaker 2: It's really a reality check when you see like real
- 21:37Speaker 2: people on our screens all of a sudden, it's a
- 21:40Speaker 2: bit of a jump scare because you're like, why aren't
- 21:42Speaker 2: you acting like a crazy person, Why aren't you telling
- 21:45Speaker 2: a crazy story? Why aren't you dressing odd? Why aren't
- 21:48Speaker 2: you over the top? Where's your glam? You know? It's
- 21:50Speaker 2: it is a jump scare.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Just normal people in a normal cave being the undead
- 21:58Speaker 3: and walking among us.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Uh. Okay, so yes, so now we Oh. We also
- 22:08Speaker 2: found out that Todd had a whole life before Bronwin
- 22:11Speaker 2: and worked at Miller, So that was interesting, which we
- 22:15Speaker 2: will get into later at the dinner, but more about Todd.
- 22:17Speaker 2: But Heather confronts Whitney about the president.
- 22:24Speaker 3: What about that whole Britney Jared in the friendship texting?
- 22:29Speaker 3: Because that's when this is over at curling.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Oh, I put curling at the end.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Oh, we're going to get to curling.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Okay, I think, yeah, you know what we could do
- 22:40Speaker 2: is let's just get curling out of the way. Let's
- 22:43Speaker 2: just get curling out of the way, because because yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 2: because then we can just go and stay at the
- 22:49Speaker 2: caves for a little while and then get to go
- 22:52Speaker 2: on the sprinter van and get to Harley.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Well okay, I I the Britney Jered thing is
- 23:01Speaker 3: so bonkers. Well only what because like we got a
- 23:06Speaker 3: little bit of it at the in the booth or
- 23:09Speaker 3: whatever the night before at the Bucks game, and I
- 23:11Speaker 3: thought for sure she was gonna like come back and
- 23:13Speaker 3: make it again be against everybody else. But the fact
- 23:16Speaker 3: that she took it in and was like, yeah, I'm
- 23:19Speaker 3: gonna cut this off and then like just like but
- 23:22Speaker 3: I didn't believe it.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Right, No one did. Mary was like, I didn't know
- 23:26Speaker 2: she heard us.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I know.
- 23:31Speaker 4: It was amazing, but when she was like, it's treason
- 23:35Speaker 4: ist and Lisa stamps it as a great word to use,
- 23:39Speaker 4: and it's attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow a government.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Absolutely, that's the best word.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Is truthinest I mean, I couldn't believe that Lisa Barlow
- 23:51Speaker 2: co signed on that word. And I, honestly, here's the thing,
- 23:54Speaker 2: I also think, am I wrong? You guys? But Emily,
- 23:59Speaker 2: they use that same word on the Mormon Wives Secret
- 24:02Speaker 2: Lives of Mormon Wives. I swear someone said treason is well,
- 24:06Speaker 2: swear they like to bring in these these Mormons like
- 24:09Speaker 2: to bring in these words that don't make sense.
- 24:13Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't remember it on TRU I
- 24:16Speaker 3: don't remember it on there, but I don't put it. Yeah,
- 24:18Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 24:19Speaker 2: You don't put it past them that they did it.
- 24:21Speaker 2: I have a feeling that somebody brought up treason. Yeah,
- 24:24Speaker 2: someone brought up treason. That is correct. They said treason,
- 24:29Speaker 2: and maybe does it mean something different in the Mormon culture.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know, because they're quick to use it.
- 24:36Speaker 3: What's the reason for treason in the Mormon culture.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Hi, I'm Emily and I'm Amy, and we're here to
- 24:45Speaker 2: talk about all the terms that they use in the
- 24:48Speaker 2: Mormon culture that we don't use in real life.
- 24:52Speaker 3: For example, I'm going to pour some tea on reason. Hi,
- 24:58Speaker 3: I'm Emily.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Hi, stop singing, oh god, yeah, oh my god. The
- 25:11Speaker 2: just the fact that she made an announcement Encyclopedia Britanica.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Made an announcement, and remember about the fact that they
- 25:18Speaker 2: were together, and now she's like announcement announcement. He broke
- 25:23Speaker 2: up except she never told him.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it's all kind of blurring together because
- 25:32Speaker 3: this is the only thing I know about her. But
- 25:35Speaker 3: also like the whole thing where he's just saying friendship
- 25:39Speaker 3: and pale and he has a thesaurus for ways to
- 25:44Speaker 3: say friend that he's sad that she would do this
- 25:48Speaker 3: to his bestie.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Yeah, what, you're my compandre, you're my best mate. Yeah
- 25:58Speaker 2: no thanks no. Yeah, so she broke up with him,
- 26:04Speaker 2: She's like, oh, yeah, she said she had an epiphany
- 26:07Speaker 2: in the middle an epiphany montage for telling everybody that, yeah,
- 26:14Speaker 2: I see, here's where I would have liked another reenactment
- 26:17Speaker 2: on The Real Housewives. You know, we got the reenactment
- 26:20Speaker 2: of the crash in Potomac. Okay, if they could have
- 26:24Speaker 2: just added in a reenactment of Encyclopedia Britanica waking up
- 26:30Speaker 2: in the middle of the night and staying awake for
- 26:32Speaker 2: two hours, tossing and turning and really seeing the light.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Like she wanted. She told everybody when she was filming
- 26:42Speaker 3: scenes with them about this, so she wanted coverage of this.
- 26:45Speaker 3: She doesn't know much about being on this show, but
- 26:47Speaker 3: she knows she needs to get this in.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and so she's gonna repeat it and repeat it
- 26:52Speaker 2: just to make sure it makes the cut. What a risk,
- 26:57Speaker 2: you know, because I get that you want to make
- 27:00Speaker 2: sure that what you're saying is so important that you
- 27:03Speaker 2: repeat it so that it makes it in. If it
- 27:05Speaker 2: doesn't make it in this scene, you're going to say
- 27:06Speaker 2: it in another. And you're at risk because you're kind
- 27:09Speaker 2: of like a friend. So but you're also at risk
- 27:13Speaker 2: for it not being in there, but also that it's
- 27:15Speaker 2: going to become a montage and become a joke against you.
- 27:18Speaker 3: I'll use it against you, especially when you realize like
- 27:23Speaker 3: she has the only thing she's done. Is just not
- 27:25Speaker 3: texted him back. She didn't break up with him, She
- 27:28Speaker 3: didn't say how she was feeling. She just hasn't texted back.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Right, and she didn't call back. And she's really quick
- 27:34Speaker 2: to tell us all, Oh my gosh, my phone is
- 27:36Speaker 2: blowing up from this one person. He texted me. He
- 27:40Speaker 2: tried to FaceTime me. He he called me, Oh my gosh,
- 27:43Speaker 2: like he's finally giving you attention.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Yeah, right, right, because of Lisa's text saying I'm having
- 27:50Speaker 3: a great time bye.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Yeah, that was It was great. It was great.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that's kind of curling. I guess that's we hit that.
- 28:01Speaker 3: I don't think anything else happened in Girling.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Oh no, we we found out that Melee is a
- 28:07Speaker 2: was a figure skater, and and then also we did
- 28:12Speaker 2: kind of hear a little bit about it's possible that
- 28:17Speaker 2: Jared and and Brittonica were on a break when Angie's
- 28:25Speaker 2: brow girl and him were dming. Right, Okay, so that
- 28:31Speaker 2: that's important context, sure, but nobody, you know, no one's
- 28:36Speaker 2: gonna give it to him for that. And then Lisa
- 28:39Speaker 2: and her confessionals like he's like a Dalis Osmond. Who care?
- 28:49Speaker 3: That was weird? Well, I know, we get to it
- 28:51Speaker 3: at the Harley dinner, but it was weird how hard
- 28:54Speaker 3: Heather went in on how amazing this all like it
- 28:59Speaker 3: was weird the fandom Heather was having for like second
- 29:04Speaker 3: or third line Osmond and really kind of like the
- 29:08Speaker 3: reason why Britannica should figure this out it was, and
- 29:13Speaker 3: then flipped a switch.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Yeah Heather did, She sure did. Okay, So that's all
- 29:20Speaker 2: that happened at Curling. All right, Wait, I want to
- 29:23Speaker 2: talk about We were still in the Miller Barkevs. And
- 29:29Speaker 2: Heather confronts Whitney about the Prism company and its legitimacy,
- 29:35Speaker 2: like really quickly. She basically is like, Meredith told me that,
- 29:40Speaker 2: you know, you're white labeling jewelry from China, which I
- 29:44Speaker 2: don't know what that term is, but I'm guessing that
- 29:47Speaker 2: it is taking other products and then well.
- 29:51Speaker 3: From specific specifically yeaheah.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Yeah, but I never heard that term white labeling. Have
- 29:57Speaker 2: you heard that white labeling with the term I think
- 30:00Speaker 2: I have.
- 30:01Speaker 3: I don't think so, but in my mind, I'm like,
- 30:03Speaker 3: I guess that makes sense, like just putting a different label.
- 30:06Speaker 2: On it, but sounds like racist.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Okay, Well, I mean maybe it is. I don't even know.
- 30:14Speaker 2: White labeling is a business practice where one company produces
- 30:17Speaker 2: a product or service and sells it to another company,
- 30:20Speaker 2: which then rebrands it as their own. The term comes
- 30:25Speaker 2: from the idea of a white label on packaging that
- 30:27Speaker 2: can be filled in with the rebranding company's branding. So
- 30:31Speaker 2: it sounds like, oh, it's legal. I mean, first of all,
- 30:35Speaker 2: it's legal, and that company is saying, go ahead and
- 30:38Speaker 2: do this, you know. So that's what is interesting to
- 30:41Speaker 2: me is that they're giving it a bad name. But
- 30:45Speaker 2: it sounds like it's used quite often in a lot
- 30:48Speaker 2: of industries, as is explaining here on the Google Well,
- 30:53Speaker 2: so I think.
- 30:54Speaker 3: That it's it's totally legal. It's just the idea that like,
- 30:58Speaker 3: how much are you up selling this thing? Saying how
- 31:00Speaker 3: dumb do you think your customer?
- 31:02Speaker 5: Is?
- 31:02Speaker 3: Whitney right, Like that's what it is.
- 31:04Speaker 2: And we did get that flashback of Meredith being like,
- 31:11Speaker 2: they're saying, Whitney is selling designs off Allie Bomb selling
- 31:18Speaker 2: them at ten twenty times the price, and then of
- 31:24Speaker 2: course Whitney does say back to Heather, She's like, yeah,
- 31:27Speaker 2: we buy it from curated vendors, and Meredith needs to
- 31:30Speaker 2: stay out of dms and documents from social media. Didn't
- 31:33Speaker 2: she learn her lasts and last season? So I just
- 31:39Speaker 2: I feel like every time that Meredith says Ali, Baba,
- 31:41Speaker 2: we need to celebrate a drinking game and it's due.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Yeah, sit in, marinate in it. Yes, it is a.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Marinad Ollie bomb. So all right, we're done with curling that.
- 32:00Speaker 3: It's as so weird. Where Heather was saying don't bring
- 32:03Speaker 3: it up in the sprinter van to Whitney, I didn't
- 32:05Speaker 3: understand that either, did you. Why she was like, just
- 32:09Speaker 3: don't After She's like, here's what Meredith said.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Whatever you do, yeah, don't bring it bring it up
- 32:14Speaker 2: in the Sperner van. Always fight.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you the thing we are paid to do.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Whatever you do, there is going to be one thousand
- 32:24Speaker 3: cameras to cover it in there. Just don't bring it up. Well,
- 32:28Speaker 3: I think the.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Editors drop the ball on this. You know. Look, they've
- 32:32Speaker 2: got a lot to handle. I understand, and I think
- 32:34Speaker 2: I'm asking a lot of them, you know, But I
- 32:37Speaker 2: will say I would have liked for them to do
- 32:39Speaker 2: a little effect on Heather's voice where it's like, whatever
- 32:43Speaker 2: you do, do do, don't bring it up in this
- 32:47Speaker 2: sprinter van van van van, just because so much goes
- 32:50Speaker 2: down the sprinter van and so on and so forth. Okay,
- 32:54Speaker 2: let me take a quick break to talk about autumnal style.

- 36:39Speaker 2: So we're on our way to Harley.
- 36:41Speaker 3: We all are in the same sprinter van and Meredith
- 36:44Speaker 3: is poorly miked and so that's that's rough. Yeah, that
- 36:48Speaker 3: was rough.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Okay, so we all know what sprinter van we're in
- 36:53Speaker 2: right now. All the darlings are on.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Board Go one with the blue Neon.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Yes, and we're going to Harley and it's nighttime and
- 37:01Speaker 2: that seems like a party bus. Yeah yeah, Whitney says.
- 37:06Speaker 2: It has been an amazing good trip until I found
- 37:10Speaker 2: out that you all are talking about my businesses that
- 37:13Speaker 2: I buy my pieces from Ali Baba. Meredith, why did
- 37:17Speaker 2: didn't you call me? And She's like, becomes you didn't
- 37:20Speaker 2: want a discosted with me and if you wanted to discuss,
- 37:24Speaker 2: here's some shade you ready for this, that you were
- 37:29Speaker 2: starting something in mine in the stream.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Shit out there for years. That's the whole point of
- 37:41Speaker 3: why married does she doesn't have any legs to stand
- 37:44Speaker 3: on with the bath bombs because Whitney had him out
- 37:47Speaker 3: before her.
- 37:48Speaker 2: What is Whitney not doing in her businesses? Like she's
- 37:52Speaker 2: selling every She's a dollar store. You can get anything
- 37:56Speaker 2: you want at Whitney's businesses. So and I think Merediths
- 38:01Speaker 2: are a little more karine. And if you were to
- 38:03Speaker 2: ask me, because she specializes in jewelry, I mean that's
- 38:07Speaker 2: what really put Meredith marks on the map. But if
- 38:10Speaker 2: Meredith is going to be so pettied as to say,
- 38:13Speaker 2: you're doing something in my industry that it doesn't even
- 38:18Speaker 2: pan out because she is high end, you know, elevated
- 38:23Speaker 2: jewelry that she is designing these pieces or working with
- 38:27Speaker 2: someone to design pieces, and they're at a different level
- 38:30Speaker 2: where we're talking Whitney's Ali Baba knockoff coin chocolate coin necklace,
- 38:38Speaker 2: like is you can get out out of a freaking
- 38:41Speaker 2: you know, vending machine at the playgim where I take
- 38:45Speaker 2: my daughter, You know. So this is the fact that
- 38:48Speaker 2: Meredith even feels threatened by Whitney and her best neessays
- 38:52Speaker 2: is so funny to me.
- 38:55Speaker 3: It's bizarre. And it also, like we've talked about it earlier,
- 39:01Speaker 3: it's just like, I don't even understand. I feel like
- 39:03Speaker 3: I'm missing something. In the first episode of the season,
- 39:07Speaker 3: where Meredith was like so beside herself that Whitney was
- 39:10Speaker 3: doing this bath line, I was like, I don't it.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Something doesn't connect well.
- 39:18Speaker 2: The thing about the bath bombs that does connect with
- 39:21Speaker 2: me because Meredith and her baths, and because Whitney called
- 39:27Speaker 2: it it was a dig against Meredith, So that to
- 39:31Speaker 2: me makes a little more sense. It doesn't mean that
- 39:34Speaker 2: Meredith has too much of a leg to stand on
- 39:36Speaker 2: because she already had stuff out there, but she repackaged
- 39:39Speaker 2: it to make it a slam against Meredith and so
- 39:41Speaker 2: on and so forth. But it doesn't mean Mereth can't
- 39:43Speaker 2: have those But that's why I understand that. But Meredith
- 39:48Speaker 2: still feels threatened by this and expects Whitney to come
- 39:53Speaker 2: to her and ask her for advice when it's a
- 39:55Speaker 2: completely different industry that Meredith is in. I mean, they're
- 39:58Speaker 2: two different business mind Okay, so why would Whitney even
- 40:03Speaker 2: go to Meredith at this point or even before to
- 40:06Speaker 2: discuss this.
- 40:08Speaker 3: I even looked at Whitney's stuff as Prism really expensive,
- 40:12Speaker 3: like I don't know if it's.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Well, they did that side by side of the Alibaba necklace,
- 40:17Speaker 2: which was like three bucks, and then on her website
- 40:20Speaker 2: it was like forty nine dollars.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, so that's not Meredith pricing no.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Right, right, But I don't know about the other stuff,
- 40:30Speaker 2: so I'm not sure because I remember when she had
- 40:32Speaker 2: that jewelry show or she had some sort of something
- 40:35Speaker 2: last year, and it was like Manica Whitney and Monica
- 40:40Speaker 2: and yeah and Lisa were fighting really hard at the
- 40:43Speaker 2: Prism event. Yeah, and I feel like she had, you know,
- 40:46Speaker 2: maybe some more upscale jewelry items there that.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:50Speaker 2: I don't want to think too hard about that. It'll
- 40:52Speaker 2: hurt my brain, so please, I want you don't think hard.
- 40:54Speaker 3: It was hurt.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Okay, So let's go to the Harley Davidson Museum and
- 41:00Speaker 2: I'm here for it, Like this is really Whitney living
- 41:03Speaker 2: her best life. I mean, she is a Harley girl.
- 41:05Speaker 2: She obviously's into drag. So this is amazing. So this
- 41:11Speaker 2: is Whitney's jam. She is a Harley girl and great
- 41:16Speaker 2: to see her and justin you know, like zooming around
- 41:19Speaker 2: town and all their Harley stuff and loving their motorcycles.
- 41:24Speaker 3: The leather was loud when they were quiet in this,
- 41:28Speaker 3: like there's a lot of squeaking leather at the table.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Are you sure that wasn't Mereth's voice? My god, Yeah,
- 41:41Speaker 2: there was a lot of leather. Yeah, it was great.
- 41:43Speaker 2: They actually turned it out. I mean I thought they
- 41:46Speaker 2: looked amazing.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Yeah, that it was the same sound that earlier when
- 41:52Speaker 3: Bronwin had said that Todd worked in Milwaukee and and like, oh,
- 41:57Speaker 3: I wasn't even born yet. And then there's this sound
- 42:00Speaker 3: from Angie that was like like her laugh or reaction
- 42:04Speaker 3: to it.
- 42:06Speaker 4: Was like.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Greeks do that tub.
- 42:18Speaker 5: Things?
- 42:19Speaker 2: Was this is Greek leather boobe? Yeah, a lot of
- 42:27Speaker 2: a lot of leather noise. Okay. So then we're at
- 42:31Speaker 2: dinner and now Whitney's mad at Meredith and they're having
- 42:35Speaker 2: this goal. They're going back and forth, and then Lisa
- 42:38Speaker 2: butts in to help out, Like it's not that big
- 42:40Speaker 2: of a deal that we were talking about your businesses.
- 42:43Speaker 2: It's not that big of a deal. And then they
- 42:45Speaker 2: start mocking each other, doing each other's voices and which
- 42:49Speaker 2: is funny and you get it a little. And then
- 42:53Speaker 2: Angie's like, you quash both stop mocking troilerer, Whi's not right,
- 43:01Speaker 2: And then Whitney's like, stop steamrollingk me and they just
- 43:05Speaker 2: love that. They keep saying that, and Whitney says that
- 43:10Speaker 2: you to Meredith, you didn't come to me about this,
- 43:13Speaker 2: and now it's like it's called gossip what you're doing.
- 43:16Speaker 2: And then Lisa's like, but you and Angie did the
- 43:18Speaker 2: same thing to me, and that's also gossip. And then
- 43:21Speaker 2: she says like she's worked really hard on this relationship
- 43:24Speaker 2: and friendship with Meredith and she doesn't need them to
- 43:27Speaker 2: be going, and you know, asking her if they if
- 43:31Speaker 2: she trusts her, you know she's there stirring it up.
- 43:33Speaker 2: It's very strange for them to be bringing this up,
- 43:35Speaker 2: Whitney and Angie. It's just it's it's what you know,
- 43:39Speaker 2: you have called it out before about Whitney where she
- 43:42Speaker 2: has these like moments where she just stirsh it up
- 43:45Speaker 2: for no reason and I don't understand it, Like there's
- 43:47Speaker 2: no reason to bring up the whole New York thing.
- 43:50Speaker 3: And Angie's going to get right on board because she
- 43:53Speaker 3: wants a reason to overreact on camera. Oh and she
- 43:58Speaker 3: gave it to us again. God when that chair when
- 44:02Speaker 3: you could see in her face, I can knock this
- 44:05Speaker 3: chair over now, yeah, now I will knock the chair over.
- 44:09Speaker 3: And that is rage.
- 44:13Speaker 2: Rage she doesn't know rage, she would love. I have
- 44:18Speaker 2: never seen anyone that would like to have be filled
- 44:21Speaker 2: with rage more than she's not. Yeah, I'm like, can
- 44:25Speaker 2: I give you some of my rage? That's real? You
- 44:29Speaker 2: can have it, and you're gonna throw that chair like
- 44:32Speaker 2: it's gonna be great. But yeah, when she's face.
- 44:35Speaker 3: After like, oh my gosh, did you all see that?
- 44:39Speaker 3: Like that was her face after? Like I'm an icon
- 44:46Speaker 3: now I'm iconic. I'm the Teresa of Utah.
- 44:51Speaker 2: I was in leather and a character chair. Babe, did
- 44:55Speaker 2: you shoot there out?
- 44:56Speaker 3: Oh? You know? That was the call she made to
- 44:58Speaker 3: her husband after. Don't you know what happened? The leather
- 45:01Speaker 3: took over, babe? The crucifix choker, babe.
- 45:07Speaker 2: I don't know. I was feeling a little light headed
- 45:09Speaker 2: from that choker, and I don't know, I was like
- 45:13Speaker 2: demon possessed. I don't know if it was the caves
- 45:16Speaker 2: or no, I didn't go to the caves, and maybe
- 45:18Speaker 2: it was the curling and I was just possessed. I
- 45:21Speaker 2: don't know what came over me. Sure when I kick ch.
- 45:25Speaker 3: Over another iconic moment. I mean, this is my season
- 45:30Speaker 3: with the scroll and the chair.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Great, babe, I gotta go back to the salon. I
- 45:39Speaker 2: gotta I got a parcel, I gotta cut and I
- 45:43Speaker 2: got a fall. Oh all right, okay. Oh also, Barb,
- 45:52Speaker 2: did you see my confessional. Look, I'm really showing off
- 45:55Speaker 2: the tou haws and this hot pink blazer. And you
- 45:58Speaker 2: know what, Meredith is going to be so mad that
- 46:01Speaker 2: I'm wearing a blazer and my confessional.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Take that, Meredith, wait for me at the reunion. Meredith,
- 46:15Speaker 3: I know.
- 46:19Speaker 2: I'll be ready with my the pictures of all the
- 46:22Speaker 2: blazers in my closet, where suits, timelines, green, traut fucking blazers.
- 46:33Speaker 3: I'm making it my own.
- 46:37Speaker 2: Greek blazers. I bet you've never seen but dazzling on
- 46:42Speaker 2: a blazer before. Meredith, you don't know how to d
- 46:46Speaker 2: I do.
- 46:50Speaker 3: Oh my god, you are so right. She is going
- 46:53Speaker 3: to come like fully loaded with a blazer rebuttal that
- 46:58Speaker 3: nobody asked for.
- 47:00Speaker 2: No no one. You know those memes where it's like, uh,
- 47:03Speaker 2: no one.
- 47:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, yes, and she's like them out and
- 47:08Speaker 3: there's just racks of the pas are like I don't know, ah,
- 47:12Speaker 3: I need to fucking drag this.
- 47:15Speaker 2: I don't know why I'm turning, but I love this
- 47:20Speaker 2: so much, like I'm here for the contrived Angie bits
- 47:25Speaker 2: until she's fired, Like I want to ride out these
- 47:29Speaker 2: contrived bits as long as we can.
- 47:32Speaker 3: Amy. I think I am too. I think I am too.
- 47:36Speaker 3: I want to see what she's got.
- 47:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, because that glass she threw last season was
- 47:43Speaker 2: ridiculous and now she stood up and she kicked that chair.
- 47:47Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I didn't even know it was annoying me.
- 47:50Speaker 3: And now I feel like we love like the scavenger
- 47:54Speaker 3: Hunt it is, Yeah, we do.
- 47:56Speaker 2: You write like a scavenger hunt? What is she gonna do?
- 48:00Speaker 3: You?
- 48:00Speaker 2: That's so pre planned and so inauthentic, Like it's great
- 48:07Speaker 2: because it's so on the nose. It's not even she
- 48:10Speaker 2: can't even don't be normal and do it?
- 48:15Speaker 3: Yeah you It sticks out like a sore thumb because
- 48:19Speaker 3: it's like Angie, like it's acting and planned and props.
- 48:29Speaker 2: Did I hear anybody with that chair? Sorry about that?
- 48:32Speaker 2: I tried to make sure that I kicked it clean
- 48:35Speaker 2: out scrape.
- 48:36Speaker 3: We weren't at rehearsals. We had a we had a
- 48:46Speaker 3: script read and then a dress rehearsal of the chair,
- 48:50Speaker 3: and we.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Had tops and bottoms where we're just working on the lights.
- 48:54Speaker 2: But no one was there. That's fine. You guys are
- 48:57Speaker 2: all busy, but you weren't dressed. Show control it. I
- 49:08Speaker 2: do my own stunts.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Yeah, yea, I want to see all the ones that
- 49:16Speaker 3: they were like, we gotta cut Yeah, like I now
- 49:20Speaker 3: I need everything?
- 49:21Speaker 2: Yeah? What else is she doing?
- 49:23Speaker 3: Yeah? That they were like, it's it's too obvious.
- 49:26Speaker 2: You know, like people say a lot where it's like,
- 49:29Speaker 2: if he's willing to do that on camera, what is
- 49:31Speaker 2: he willing to do? What is he doing off camera?
- 49:35Speaker 2: You know, like with Angie, if she's willing to do
- 49:37Speaker 2: this on camera, what else is she doing on camera
- 49:42Speaker 2: that they're cutting out?
- 49:44Speaker 3: A full on juggling act in the bucks booth like
- 49:48Speaker 3: hot dogs.
- 49:49Speaker 5: Like whoa, I can't catch them. I can't get one
- 49:53Speaker 5: on my plate, one in my mouth, two in my mouth.
- 49:58Speaker 5: It's only where I can.
- 49:59Speaker 2: Heat bit spitch spitch. You know what's wild is that
- 50:08Speaker 2: Lisa falls into her trap because she does get provoked
- 50:12Speaker 2: by Angie in some way where she's like, uh, you know,
- 50:15Speaker 2: I call and tell you what you do and you
- 50:17Speaker 2: can't deny it. You say, I have to call Electra.
- 50:21Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, Lisa, you just gave her
- 50:23Speaker 2: the biggest gift you could possibly give her. You did
- 50:26Speaker 2: you see, Angie? She looked like the cat that ate
- 50:28Speaker 2: the canary. She was so overwhelmed with the idea that
- 50:33Speaker 2: Lisa brought up her kid that this is the cardinal
- 50:37Speaker 2: rule in housewives, which somebody said, let's not bring the
- 50:40Speaker 2: kids into this. And Angie's like, oh my god, I
- 50:43Speaker 2: just the best gift for the steger. I could trick
- 50:47Speaker 2: it all the way. And she was all out of
- 50:51Speaker 2: her act that she couldn't authentically respond to that. She
- 50:56Speaker 2: was like, shit, I should have waited to kick the
- 50:58Speaker 2: chair intil she brought off my cured.
- 51:03Speaker 3: Yeah, because once she's once she had stood up and
- 51:07Speaker 3: kicked the chair, I was like, how's she gonna get
- 51:09Speaker 3: out right? And then Lisa, Yeah, of course. But I
- 51:15Speaker 3: think Lisa's so pissed that she can't control Angie in
- 51:18Speaker 3: terms of having the loyalty in the group that like,
- 51:23Speaker 3: I think Lisa's like genuinely pissed that and she's not
- 51:26Speaker 3: following her orders.
- 51:28Speaker 2: So when Angie says, like, you're just meradther, I'm not
- 51:30Speaker 2: doing what you want me to do, she has a point.
- 51:34Speaker 3: Yes, I do think, yeah, And that's why that's why
- 51:37Speaker 3: it's so weird to me that Angie has to do
- 51:39Speaker 3: all this whole dog and pony show, like she's got
- 51:44Speaker 3: enough there. You could just be real and be in that, right,
- 51:48Speaker 3: I mean yeah, I mean she's done now.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I'm in Yeah, don't learn from this. But
- 51:55Speaker 2: her face was like, how don't worry from swand alternately
- 51:59Speaker 2: the it's horrifle And for Mary to shut this down
- 52:02Speaker 2: was amazing. She's like, it's very emotional and you two
- 52:04Speaker 2: do love each other. I was like, who who are you?
- 52:07Speaker 2: And when did you get here?
- 52:09Speaker 3: I asked that. Every five minutes, Mary's in a seat
- 52:12Speaker 3: like she is a different person.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Yeah, so what is up?
- 52:15Speaker 3: I don't trust it.
- 52:17Speaker 2: I don't either, Yeah, But we bring up the Brittani
- 52:21Speaker 2: and her announcement. I have an announcement. Jared and I
- 52:23Speaker 2: are officially broken up and the epiphany, and then we
- 52:28Speaker 2: find out like he grew up on Osmond Lane in Provo.
- 52:32Speaker 2: And then we get the whole Osmond thing, which is
- 52:35Speaker 2: great because bron Win's like, are you in love with him?
- 52:39Speaker 2: Or are you in love with Osmond?
- 52:40Speaker 3: So love bron when I do too.
- 52:43Speaker 2: Oh, She's firing on all cylinders. And then and then
- 52:46Speaker 2: to your point, what you were talking about Heather before
- 52:48Speaker 2: we get into the whole bron when Brittany thing? What
- 52:51Speaker 2: did what did you want to say about Heather and
- 52:53Speaker 2: the Osmond thing? Oh?
- 52:56Speaker 3: Yeah, it just was weird the way that the reverend
- 52:59Speaker 3: said Heather was giving Jared because of the Ozma umbrella,
- 53:03Speaker 3: but like really like it's so cool, like you should
- 53:07Speaker 3: It felt like she was pushing Brittany into that, like
- 53:11Speaker 3: she was over the top about it in terms of
- 53:15Speaker 3: this is a great thing for you, Brittany. I just
- 53:18Speaker 3: was a weird vibe. And now that I'm thinking about it, yeah, no,
- 53:22Speaker 3: it was just weird. I didn't get it. Yeah, it
- 53:25Speaker 3: wasn't like Heather was talking about Donnie Osmon. It wasn't that.
- 53:30Speaker 3: It was something very different and very far away adjacent.
- 53:35Speaker 3: I just didn't get it.
- 53:36Speaker 2: I think that Heather is struggling with realized you know
- 53:40Speaker 2: her now Heather after bad Mormon, knowing that the Osman's
- 53:45Speaker 2: are really not that she doesn't want to make them
- 53:48Speaker 2: a big deal anymore, but growing up huge, they were
- 53:51Speaker 2: huge in the Mormon culture, and it's just like they're
- 53:53Speaker 2: the biggest celebrities to ever come out of Mormonism that
- 53:56Speaker 2: we thought, Yeah, so for her, she was give it
- 53:58Speaker 2: reverence is kind of I think an odd to the
- 54:00Speaker 2: fact that it was mainstream and that she should latch
- 54:05Speaker 2: onto that, but also like he's not even really a
- 54:08Speaker 2: real one anyway.
- 54:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it was just you would think Heather, of all people,
- 54:13Speaker 3: would be like, this guy's bad news. But it was
- 54:18Speaker 3: like she was finding just a tiny nugget to be like,
- 54:22Speaker 3: stick this out, girl, this is amazing.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Yea.
- 54:26Speaker 3: Her father I was just like, really, this seems odd.
- 54:30Speaker 2: She may have been caught on camera pushing someone else's
- 54:33Speaker 2: narrative to try to make it more interesting for her,
- 54:36Speaker 2: you know, I don't know, But now we have this
- 54:40Speaker 2: whole Brittani and Bronwin situation where she's, you know, bron
- 54:44Speaker 2: Win's like, are you in love with him or in
- 54:46Speaker 2: love with Osmond? And she's like, I think you should
- 54:49Speaker 2: worry about your own marriage. Oh oh oh, And then
- 54:53Speaker 2: we get the back and forth and we get all
- 54:55Speaker 2: these questions and we understand well bron Went basically explains
- 55:01Speaker 2: because Brittany's like, were you interested in him because of
- 55:03Speaker 2: his money? And she's like, well, I had Google? Would
- 55:06Speaker 2: she say Google finances before I met him? Yeah, And
- 55:09Speaker 2: then she goes on to say that well, when Brittany
- 55:14Speaker 2: accuses her essentially because of the age gap, but she's,
- 55:16Speaker 2: you know, a gold digger, and she says that she
- 55:20Speaker 2: had her own money and if they did get divorced
- 55:23Speaker 2: now they she would not have access to both most
- 55:27Speaker 2: of the stuff Todd has, which immediately made me think, oh,
- 55:29Speaker 2: she has a prenup. But then she says, because Todd
- 55:32Speaker 2: and I are genuinely in a real relationship that does
- 55:35Speaker 2: include a physical attraction, it does include mental attraction, it
- 55:39Speaker 2: includes a best friendship, and I wouldn't take Todd to
- 55:42Speaker 2: the cleaners, which is why we don't have a prenup.
- 55:46Speaker 2: And then Heather's like, well, Todd is such a savvy
- 55:48Speaker 2: businessman that he didn't and he didn't get a prenup.
- 55:53Speaker 3: That is bonkers.
- 55:54Speaker 2: And to me, that is like that.
- 55:57Speaker 3: You know, I've said it before, I'll say it again.
- 56:00Speaker 3: Getting a pre nup in that situation is showing that
- 56:03Speaker 3: you love the person and not the money. That's crazy
- 56:07Speaker 3: that she in her if she, if I were her,
- 56:12Speaker 3: I would say, let's get a prenup. I don't want
- 56:14Speaker 3: you to think I'm here for your money.
- 56:18Speaker 2: And like.
- 56:20Speaker 3: You still once you're after a while, like you have
- 56:25Speaker 3: assets together, whatever, and like you can. But that's bonkers
- 56:30Speaker 3: to me that there's not a prenup.
- 56:33Speaker 2: Well maybe she did say she did say that, and
- 56:36Speaker 2: he was like, no, I don't want when I trust you.
- 56:38Speaker 3: And well I'm saying to say, I'm saying he's nuts.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but I wonder how much money she has. I mean,
- 56:44Speaker 2: she must have a lot of money.
- 56:47Speaker 3: Maybe I don't know if she's making it pretty pos kids.
- 56:53Speaker 3: You know, I would want to protect and her too.
- 56:55Speaker 3: I would want to protect my kid and his kids
- 56:59Speaker 3: would want I would be Yeah, I would want to
- 57:02Speaker 3: make it real clear.
- 57:04Speaker 2: What the her daughter is that a child from another marriage? Yeah, okay,
- 57:09Speaker 2: I believe so okay, And so what do you think
- 57:12Speaker 2: that she meant when she said if we got divorced tomorrow,
- 57:15Speaker 2: I would not have access to most of the stuff,
- 57:18Speaker 2: Todd has.
- 57:21Speaker 3: I did. Does she say I wouldn't or I wouldn't want.
- 57:27Speaker 2: Well, I wrote, I would not have access to most
- 57:29Speaker 2: of the stuff. But I could have heard it wrong.
- 57:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 57:34Speaker 2: I don't know, Okay, It's just it is interesting and yeah,
- 57:42Speaker 2: I mean and I like that. Whitney's like, I deal
- 57:45Speaker 2: with this too because of called digging comments. You know
- 57:49Speaker 2: when there's an age gap, and you know, I get it.
- 57:52Speaker 2: I liked that.
- 57:53Speaker 3: She was very that was the craziest response to not
- 57:57Speaker 3: having a pre nup and why that's a good idea
- 58:00Speaker 3: it The logic of it was the craziest I've ever heard. Like,
- 58:06Speaker 3: you're gonna get in that situation and then you're gonna
- 58:09Speaker 3: see that I was very loyal to you and didn't
- 58:11Speaker 3: want your money, like I can't wait till we're getting
- 58:15Speaker 3: divorced and see little, how little I asked for? Like
- 58:18Speaker 3: that is that was the logic she presented to the
- 58:22Speaker 3: table as to why they didn't have a prenup. Hmmm,
- 58:27Speaker 3: and they were all like, good job, this makes sense,
- 58:31Speaker 3: except for Heather, who.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Was like what Yeah. Heather couldn't wrap her head around that.
- 58:36Speaker 2: I also thought it was a little demeaning too, to
- 58:38Speaker 2: say Todd is such a savvy businessman that he didn't
- 58:41Speaker 2: get a prenup. It's such an offense. It's almost like
- 58:44Speaker 2: she was definitely offending bron when when she said that,
- 58:49Speaker 2: that's how I offending everybody.
- 58:51Speaker 3: To me, it felt like, so, Huck Finn, like, go
- 58:53Speaker 3: paint this. I bet you'd be really great at painting
- 58:55Speaker 3: this fence. It's like, Oh, you're such a savvy businessman,
- 59:00Speaker 3: wouldn't you know better than to get a pre nup?
- 59:02Speaker 3: I know that about you. It just was a weird
- 59:04Speaker 3: all around thing to say. The whole thing was weird,
- 59:08Speaker 3: you know what I mean, Like like for her to
- 59:11Speaker 3: be like complimenting his idea of protecting himself by actually
- 59:16Speaker 3: not having any protection at all, and that's why he's
- 59:19Speaker 3: so smart. It's like, wait, what did you just say? Yeah?
- 59:24Speaker 2: Well crazy all right? So then we yeah, we go
- 59:27Speaker 2: to know if so.
- 59:29Speaker 3: Just so I'm clear, I'm saying Heather is correct, Bronman,
- 59:33Speaker 3: I don't understand that whole logic.
- 59:36Speaker 2: Okay, well, she she's in a position where he doesn't
- 59:39Speaker 2: want to do one, then what's she gonna do? She
- 59:42Speaker 2: can only push it so far. I mean, so fine,
- 59:45Speaker 2: we don't get one.
- 59:46Speaker 3: Yeah, true, but that again, this is on the whole
- 59:50Speaker 3: logic of it, including his logic.
- 59:52Speaker 2: I don't get yeah. Uh So, now we go to
- 59:56Speaker 2: the drag show Trixie Mattel's place, and we hear a
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: little bit about Whitney's love for drag from a young
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: age and she loves to support and that was really sweet.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: And Bronwin's cature Mischino hot dog costume was amazing from
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: the Spring Resort collection of twenty twenty two.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: I mean, I don't get it. I don't. Thank god.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Mary was like this, yeah fashion, yeah yeah, yeah, I
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: mean that was definitely a costume. Yeah yeah, for sure, sure,
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: for sure. But it's great.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: Love only one who dressed up. Yeah, I loved it
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: for this, loved it.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Yes, so good, so so good, so good. She's such
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: a I love her fashion. I love what she brings.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: It's great. Anything you want to anything left on the
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: table or on the curling ice that you want to
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: say about Salt Lake City.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: No, I just I thought that. Do you remember when
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: they filmed it? All those videos leaked of people filming
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: them at the Bucks game and at the Drag Show.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: I remember that.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: I don't remember that.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: Yeah, so I some of this I kind of remembered,
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: but I'm glad I didn't know actually what was going on.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: Oh how about that. I don't like weeks, you know,
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: and maybe I do a good job at like blocking
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: them out because I like to be feeling feeling fresh
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: about it. All right, Well, more Salt Lake City next week.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: For now, we're going to jump into the Great British
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Baking Show.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: Welcome in.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: Okay, I didn't take notes some way, so I'll be
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: following your lead now. This week's episode is episode two,
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: and the challenge for the first The first challenge was
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: biscuits the first and secure bake thank you.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: Okay, the whole show is biscuits.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Okay, the whole show is biscuits. Wow. That was hard
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: to watch because I was so much so many of
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: the biscuits looked good and I was making me really hungry.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: That's always tough.
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, don't watch the show unless you have
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: like a full stomach.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Yeah. I had to eat cereal. I had to eat cereal.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, so all right, but this show in general
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: was the craziest episode of Bake Off. That's ever existed.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: And I texted Amy like, Hey, just so you know,
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: this is not it's not always as crazy and dramatic,
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: like like be cool. She thought I was pranking you
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: thought I was pranking you, which.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Is because you've watched the whole three option because I'm well,
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: I was thirty minutes in and I texted you and
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: I was like, I think you're pranking me. You're silly
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: pranks because there's nothing unusual about this episode. It's just
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: a delight, and you're like you just wait and see.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: And I thought, oh, she's really sticking to this prank.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: So then I got to the end and I said, babe,
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: not seeing it.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Oh my god. We got Jeff just walking out like
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: that's he's done with the show. Haw It not like
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: that has never happened.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: So a contestant who was part of the challenge, who's
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: part of the show, I'm the.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: Only American, Oh yeah that's ever done it. And so
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: he's just like he just decides to take his little
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: teacup and he leaves.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: He says, sick man, he's sick. What he was He's
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: a sick.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: Man when they first went to him, and he's like,
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: I never heard he's skits and I was like, he's
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: fucking dying.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: Well that's what I thought you meant. So I was like,
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: that's one of the things I said, because when he
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: left him like what did Jeff die? Like, So he's fine,
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: he just went off into the bushes.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: Yeah, and Alison hugged him.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Is he drunk?
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: I don't think so. But he just very ill.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: The way that you just you know, reenacted or portrayed
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: him made you made it sound like words. No, he
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: was just so ill.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: He's he was just so ill. And when he was talking,
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: I was like, he is, like he has a He
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: looked like he had a temperature of one hundred and ten.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: He looked like you could cremate a chimp at his
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: body temperature. And then to have Elan Yi, I think
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: I'm saying our name wrong, just pass out and then
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Dylan fall off his chair.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Well let's say, yeah, Dylan fill up. So you guys,
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: this is why it was just unheard of, and it
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: was the most, as The Bachelor host always says, the
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: most dramatic season of the Great British Baking Show that
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: you've ever seen, And according to Emily, this is true.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: We had someone leave the show, the contestant. We had
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: a contestant pass out in the tent, and we had
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: somebody fall off their stool onto the ground while they
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: were reaching for their water bottle. You know, That's the thing.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: It's like, I was so confused because I'm like thinking,
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: you know, we watched Top Chef. We watch a lot
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: of competition shows, and if you just were to even
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: compare it with Top Chef, those types of things happen
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: all the time. People are leaving, people are cutting themselves,
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: people are you know, crying, having breakdown, having so But
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: it's so interesting that after what fifteen seasons of this show,
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: that this is a really big deal. So I can
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: only imagine the waves that it has created in the community.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it was. It was we don't tune in to
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: Bake Off for the drama. We tune in for the
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: camaraderie and the selective baking.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: So this was like the wheels are coming off.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Well. I didn't take any notes because last night Maddie
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: I had in the back of my head, I'm like, oh,
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: I have to watch Great British Baking Show tonight. I
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: wonder if she would like want to watch this with me.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: So I brought my computer into her room when it
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: was bedtime and I was like, hey, you know, you
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: want to watch this while you're falling asleep, and she's
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: like okay, and so we just like pretty much watched
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: it and she fell asleep to it. It was so cute.
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: She could sleep to that chaos. She's such christ What
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: is wrong with her? You know what?
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Kids can sleep through anything. They can sleep, they can
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: sleep through a storm. But you know the other thing
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: is too I wanted to mention Prue. Boy, they really
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: see her as an alcoholic, don't they. I mean, they
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: just are. Everyone is living to get her liquored up
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: through their big goods.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: Well, it's not so much that she's an alcoholic, it's
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: that she just loves She really loves it when it
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: tastes like the liquor.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: Okay, so she's an alcoholic.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: She's an edible alcoholic.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Totally totally joking. I'm only throwing those words out recklessly
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: for the Sacon comedy. Prue is totally sober.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, but it's funny because she's always like
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: You'll see Paul like WinCE and get watery eyes when
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: something is like too alcoholic tasting and Prue's like a
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: yum into that, and where Paul is like a caramel
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: kind of guy, like they know he he loves a
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: banafi pie kind of flavoring. So they they know what
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: the judges are going to respond to.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: So good, you know, I know when I look at
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: these things what I'm going to like and what I'm
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: not going to like. And when they overdo it and
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: they're putting pistachios here and they're putting you know, you know,
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: rhubarb dust did intrigue me, I have to say. But
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: when they're putting in a little too much of everything
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: and they're getting a little too cute for me, it's
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: when they overdo it, that's where I have to fall back.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: I want to try it because I think there's been
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: a couple of things that I would have never put together,
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: and those have been that sometimes that they've been like totally.
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: And when I see the recipes online, like there's been
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: one or there's been a couple that I've been like
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: I've made and they are like, so you've made yeah,
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: because all the recipes go online.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Oh you make a lot of the recipes.
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: Not a lot, I'm saying like maybe five times I've
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: been moved.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: That's a lot. That's good.
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: There's an apple cake a couple of years ago and
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: that was like, I would never in a million years
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: make an apple cake and it had some spices that
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: I would have never bought. And Prue was like, this
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: was the best cake I've ever had. Wow, I am
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: spacing on the gal's name, but a big darling's.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: Wow, she was previous.
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: Yeah she was the cat girl. You'll know what I mean.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: But yeah, so so I get what you're saying. But
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: I also love and I think the judges do too,
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: because like they want something to be a little different
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: because they have to try a bunch of this shit.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: I do understand that, you know, I understand it from you.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: If you're a judge, you have to kind of come
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: in from a different angle, whereas as just as a viewer.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: And this'll be my first time out. When they have
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: the more sim ones like the raspberry you know in
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: the cream thing, I'm just like, oh my god, that
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: looks so so good. But Sumaya's which was she had
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: some goat cheese in it, and then the jam that
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: sounded spectacular to me. And can we just talk about
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: the fact that she doesn't even like goat cheese and
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: she said that goat cheese is gamey tasting, which, now
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: that's going to really throw me off because when I
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: think of gamey, I'm thinking about wild boar and I've
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: had it, you know, that's gamey. I'm thinking of like
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: maybe some venison, maybe rabbit. But when you talk about
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: goat cheese and you're slapping the term gamey on it,
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: I'm questioning if you know what gamey is.
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: Well, that's like Christianne hating mint chocolate and wanting to
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: throw up when he had to try it, remember, and
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: I'm just like that that kind of thing. It's got
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: to be like, I don't know, it's just.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: Specific her like Cilatra right, that it tastes like soap
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: to some people. Yes, that does make sense, Okay.
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: Oh wow, Okay. So I obviously the two people in
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: the top are the ones that I thought did a
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: great job at the beginning, su Maaya, who who are.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: You most rooting for? Real?
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: Quick?
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Like?
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: If somayah?
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: Okay, And I want to say, Mike maybe is there?
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: Mike the Farmer? I love him? Okay, Mike the Farmer
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: and I love Nellie.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: Nellie's amazing Nellie.
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: I'm just putting this out there. Uh, to the producers
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: of the show, she would be a great like guest
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: host on one of like the holiday versions of the show.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: Or She's so engaging and funny. And then also, like
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: you know, sometimes on these shows when you the bake
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: off doesn't really do the thing where they like get personal,
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: where like, you know, you get a little of their personal.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you did not like especially in episode right, Yeah,
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: you just see him hanging out with their friends in
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: their backyard or yeah, which was really cute.
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: And the way Nelly told the story of you know,
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: like her uh, I guess they were miscarriages. I I,
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: it was so moving and so natural and that just
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: doesn't happen often on the show, and I don't think
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: it needs to, but when it does happen, it was
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: just really nice.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: It is really nice. And when the episode was yeah, it.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Was a great episode. Yeah, it was the timing of
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: her then retelling it to the judges and then Paul
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: eating one of the children because it was the star.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: I was like, Okay, it's a little weird. That was
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: awf But yeah, the rest of it was really moving.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: It was it was and I mean that you know,
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: what are you going to do?
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: Now?
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Those puppet theaters were absolutely incredible. The thought, the engineering
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: that they put into that, the storytelling was phenomenal.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: And I will tell you that Christian is it Christian
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: or Christian because it's spelled with two a's. That's why. Yeah,
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: I think so his deserved a handshake. I was absolutely
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: on board for that.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: Okay, good don't.
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: Often get a handshake in the showstopper round.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: It does happen, but it's more in the technical round.
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it's more in the not in the tech it's
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: more in the signature that first round, because the technical
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: round doesn't. That's more like a blind baking situation and
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: they're kind of like all using the same ingredients. They're
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: just trying to figure out the recipe, Oh gotcha the directions.
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: But it's usually in that signature, that first round that
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: a handshake happens. Not I mean, there's definitely have been
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: showstop or handshakes, but it doesn't. It's not often. And
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: so that Paul said that was like one of the
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: coolest things that's ever been in the tent or something
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: like that. I was like it really was, and yeah,
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: she deserved it.
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: Oh god, it was so good.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: Oh and you know what I learned that, like, when
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: you're making these gingerbread houses, caramel or caramel, as some
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: would say, is a great little adhesive.
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: So that's really nice to know next time I do
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: a gingerbread house, because it never works with the frosting
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: they give you, I always go and get more and
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: it's still tough.
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: Yeah, poor Hazel in her sure, but that's the best
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: way when Paul like tries to tell her like, I
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: don't know if short bread's gonna oh, I think it'd
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: be just fine. You just see Paul Hollywood like, hurrh,
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: that was so tough.
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: In fact, Maddie was like, oh and then she was
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: falling asleep. She turned around because she had to, you know,
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: rebake her stuff, and she's not gonna have a lot
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: of time left. And Maddy's like, tell me when the
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: lady who doesn't have a lot of time left comes on,
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: I'm like, she's here. She's like, oh, yikes, it was okay.
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: She had a bad day.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: You know, she had a bad day and she went
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: she went home. That's okay.
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: I think that we all kind of saw that coming.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: It was gonna be I'm glad that Jeff the American
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: left and we didn't lose like to yeah, because basically,
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: like I didn't really know Jeff that well, so it
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: didn't feel like the way he left was so unique
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: that I was like, whoa, that's fine. And then I
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: was like, well, then Hazel's going because there's no way
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: she's going to pull this out. Yeah, Oh my gosh.
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: Dylan's was really cool too. That was the Japanese story.
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: Oh, unbelievable artwork, the art arty.
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: Were you gonna say? I thought Artman's ship.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's exactly what I was going to say, and
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: I not myself, That's exactly what I was gonna say.
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: Artmanship was just off of chains and so unique and
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: just so beautiful, and you know, I actually was like,
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: oh my god, how who's gonna win this? They're all
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: so great?
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: Well what happens? Also because they said something at the
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: beginning about like the curse of the star Baker, But
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: I think what happens is if you come out of
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: the gate really strong the first couple episodes and like
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: the first impression rose, Yeah, then you are really only
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: competing with yourself and so they like that becomes your standard,
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: and when you miss that, you kind of go pretty.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Quick, yeah, because your fight ear in your head.
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: Well, they are also judging you at a different level.
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: It's weird. I've seen it happen a couple times where
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: you've got somebody that's just like crushing it and has
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: a couple star baking. They've been a star baker like
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: a couple of weeks, and then all of a sudden,
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: like they have one bad week and it's like they're
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: usually gone like in another episode. And I think it's
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: because because really, what I think Paul and Pruh are
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: doing is seeing how good people have improved that passed
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: to factor in. So they're more moved by the they're
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: surprised by somebody than they are about somebody cooking well,
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: baking well week after a week. I think that that's
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: just my opinion.
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: I might be wrong, but that's like the vibe I get,
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: because like I'm like, oh, man, don't do so great.
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: Whatever you do, just stay at the middle for the
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: first week or two.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: Go yeah, yeah, keep the standards low and build from there.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: I mean, that's a good strategy, you know, when I
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: had heard about The British Baking Show. First of all,
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: I've been calling it the British bake Off for ever
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: since we started talking about it. You obviously didn't notice,
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: but thanks.
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: For listening to me.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Oh you do.
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it's yeah, I do. I call it. Look, there's
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: also so there's like so many spin offs of it too.
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: But yes, hm, okay, Well, when I had heard about this,
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: and everyone has always loved it all these years, and
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: I just never watched it. But I didn't think there
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: was actually a competition necessarily, or if there was.
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: It was really it's the Great British Bakeoff.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's fun. But when I watched it on Netflix,
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: the title says the Great British Baking Show. Okay, so,
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: oh god, oh this is too much.
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: There was a big in the network and the babyc
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: and there was like a whole thing years ago. It's
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: when Mary Barry left and Melon Sue left and then
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: we got Nol and Sandy. It is a whole thing.
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: So I just want to put that out there. They
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: had to change the title a little.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah, so originally was the Great British Bakeoff.
- 1:18:09Speaker 6: Yes, well, feels good to be kind of right, but okay, okay,
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: thank you.
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: It's a little drama this week between Noel Fielding and
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: the former host Sandy Drama do Sandy was there when
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: Noel started, and she made a comment that they do
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: not keep in touch sick burn Sandy Drama Darlin.
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: Yowsers. That is some trash talking from a brit I mean,
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: whoo yowsers, Emily, I didn't know you were going to
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: hit me with that this early in the morning.
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: I know, coming out. I'm sorry, I know you're still
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: reeling from the episode.
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: So well, anyway, I didn't know that this show had
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: so much competitiveness in it. I actually just thought it
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: was going to be a little more tame that it
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: was like, Oh, this is lovely, have a nice day,
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: this is nice, have a nice day. You know, I didn't.
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: I didn't know there were actual winners and technical challenges
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: or you know what I mean. It's it's a lot
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: more structured than I expected it to be. Well, still,
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: they win, right, nothing, right, A trophy.
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: Glass, a glass cake stand, Amy, sit the fuck down,
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: a glass cake stand? Oh wow, wow wow, yeah, so
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: now you see me.
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, So but they do help each other like yeah,
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: like Sumaya was like, oh no, you're your royal icing
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: is too watery? Use mine. It's like, yeah, right, you
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: just slammed Hazel to the grind there. But that's all right.
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: I mean, but like you'll see, like they like they
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: really do support each other. It is much more of
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: a collective situation.
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: Bakers supporting bakers.
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: Bakers supporting bakers. And I've always said that.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: You always have always, You've made it very clear before
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: we even did this podcast, that you stand for bakers
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: supporting bakers.
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: Yes, bakers supporting bakers. That's my ficking impression. Bethany.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: You don't support bakers. Okay, you know what, you know what, Bethany,
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: you know what. Yeah, you've never supported bakers. Okay, you
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: never will support bakers because when I started my own
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: baking line, you made fun of me. It's like, oh,
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: I support your baking, but you don't support my baking.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: What's wrong with you? Yep?
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: I would love to see Ramona in the tent. Actually
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: I do not like celebrity bake off.
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that would take away from the charm and I
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: wouldn't want that either.
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: And it exists, but I'm not in I don't enjoy it.
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: Well, she drew the line, well, what a great fun
