Neighbors Rise After Carriage Lane Fire | Lansing News
A fire at Carriage Lane Apartments on July 3rd displaced over 90 residents after a transformer sparked the blaze, damaging one unit and knocking out power and gas for others. Thanks to swift action by the Red Cross, CATA, and local churches — and coordinated by Meridian Cares’ Katie Love — most residents were back home by July 7th. Now, the focus is on replacing lost groceries, with donations already reaching $3,500 to buy gift cards for essentials.
