Transcript
- 0:33Hamster with a blood. Pen knife for doing quicker.
- 0:36Welcome back to Hamster with a Blood Pen Knife and if you've
- 0:40been paying attention in the last couple of episodes, you'll
- 0:42know that I have with me the magnificent Mr. Andrew Batty.
- 0:47Hello. The president of the Antipathy
- 0:50in Steve Lyons Fan Club Lifetime, Mr. Luke Sims Jenkins.
- 0:55I'm the president and the treasurer.
- 0:57Hi. I'm the janitor and.
- 1:02We have the man whose penknife is never blunt, Mr. Joe Ford
- 1:07especially. When I'm watching Michael Shade
- 1:09in this, I'll tell you, I didn't realize it was as kinky as it
- 1:13was, but yeah, there we are. And we have obviously everyone's
- 1:17favorite part of the Doctor Who story.
- 1:19A Part 3, the penultimate episode.
- 1:22Oh, the joys of it. This is the best episode of The
- 1:25Invisible Enemy though. Absolutely.
- 1:27This is basically Robert Ho was put on the same trick he played
- 1:31in Deadly Assassin. Go off, have a bit of
- 1:33psychedelic fun for 25 minutes, and then we can do a story.
- 1:37You know Andrew Cartmel. Yeah.
- 1:40You can do your three-part stories.
- 1:41This is how you do it. Just check a random episode in
- 1:44the middle. Bollocks to it, come on.
- 1:48But you know, just when you think it can't get any better
- 1:51than the Doctor and Leela micro size running around inside the
- 1:55Doctor's head, then for the second-half of the episode
- 1:58they're haunted by Michael sheared through the Doctor's
- 2:00head. I mean, it's just glorious.
- 2:03While they're chasing the prawn. We haven't had the prawn yet.
- 2:07For God's sake guys, I. Mean I.
- 2:09Don't this is how this. Sort of get lost away.
- 2:14Definitely the episode 1 on episode 2 cliffhangers were
- 2:17great. Episode 3 cliffhanger.
- 2:19Well, yeah. We'll definitely.
- 2:23Have a fishy fishy whiff about it.
- 2:26Say episode 4 is about as good as episode 2 though, so it's not
- 2:29that much of A downgrade I'd I'd say in episode 4 it's.
- 2:33All right on a Bally big explosion, doesn't it in episode
- 2:364? Wonderful.
- 2:38Lila. Lila was right.
- 2:40Why the Bart passes up. Yeah, we'll get there.
- 2:43It's a crock. Fail.
- 2:44Typical Rob. Home story again.
- 2:46Can I say something possibly controversial though?
- 2:50I actually think they do a really good job on the whole of
- 2:54realising this episode. It's a near impossible task.
- 2:58And the bit where they're running up and down all those
- 3:00weird veins and there's a bit where where they're throwing
- 3:05weird things at the camera and having it like CSO behind them.
- 3:09And there's a a long pathway that goes Into Darkness and it's
- 3:13like it doesn't all work. Some of the sets look really
- 3:15cheap, but I really think they have a good stab at this one.
- 3:18Do you think the designer was crying when they got allocated
- 3:21to this story? You've got four different
- 3:23settings to go for. What are this massive
- 3:25psychotactic in the doctor's brain?
- 3:27Have fun. I mean, you know Matt Irvin, I
- 3:30did send you a message about Matt Irvin, but before we came
- 3:33on the call about just how insufferable he is on the
- 3:35documentaries. Nobody knows him, right?
- 3:39Oh, that's handy. Yeah, very arrogant man.
- 3:42But he's always there going, oh, you know, people always blame
- 3:45effects. People always blame effects and
- 3:47they leave effects till the last minute.
- 3:48But I mean, when you see those balls attacking, Michael shared
- 3:52in this episode, you can think why for us say are.
- 3:55We talking the balls or? The ball, it's like the all the.
- 3:59Contact has been made. Those big balls in the prisoner,
- 4:04it's like all of them coming at once.
- 4:11You think that other thing is that is happy that mullets are
- 4:14back or he's like they had a mullet before they were cool.
- 4:18I never gave up on the mullet. He.
- 4:20Still hasn't given up on it because he's had, I'm sure he
- 4:22had put it the Blake sanity with the BFI.
- 4:25No, I do know. I do know he's fairly soon going
- 4:28to be on the the season. I think it's the season 7 one.
- 4:31I'm not sure. One of the upcoming Blu rays in
- 4:34that escape room with poor old Toby Haydog.
- 4:39They keep going with that escape.
- 4:41Room format. God bless.
- 4:44I like how you get to see their real colours, don't you?
- 4:47Peter Purvis was such a cunt when he like Now come along
- 4:52Lisa, get away from there. Let a man do it.
- 4:54He's. Going like.
- 4:56It has to be said, the other the actress you want to watch when
- 4:58you're drunk, isn't it? You need.
- 5:01No more. And O'Brien was the best.
- 5:02She just stood in the middle of the room at one point and went I
- 5:05am so bored. If you watch if you watch season
- 5:1122 behind the sofas, Wendy Padberry's reactions to most of
- 5:16the whole season is. Awesome.
- 5:20Yeah, I love it. Unbelievably though, the behind
- 5:24the sofa for this one and Janice on the sofa this time.
- 5:28Hey, you absolutely loved it. I had the best time with it.
- 5:32It's Janet, for God's sake. They're all going, oh, that was
- 5:37a good story that yeah, yeah, OK.
- 5:40I'm talking to that. We really should be getting on
- 5:42with it, shouldn't we? Oh sorry, I was already pressed
- 5:44play. Have you not done look at?
- 5:45That. There's some skilled hosting
- 5:48right there. I love it.
- 5:49We've done. John, get us on track.
- 5:51Call you back on Yeah. So anyone want the counter
- 5:53scene? I've done it once. 321 go.
- 6:01Do you know? No, I'm not going to say that.
- 6:07Jesus, God, I can't bear your reactions if I say that.
- 6:10Go on, say it. Say it.
- 6:11Well, has anyone ever seen footage of a colonoscopy hang?
- 6:18On it's. Appropriate.
- 6:20It's Tom Baker, so it's actually part of the episode they're
- 6:22going into. That's right, it's very meta.
- 6:26No, the the Jodie Jodie title sequence Rich.
- 6:29My partner whenever we watched it would say it was a
- 6:31colonoscopy. Oh, I'm glad I'm not alone.
- 6:35Thank you, Rich. Oh, here we go.
- 6:40They're being shrunk. I mean, we're going to go down
- 6:43the plughole again. So do you think they've just
- 6:45sort of switched some water down a sink and then superimposed
- 6:48some over it? I.
- 6:50Think that's the way it does. It's a there's dyed water, I
- 6:54would have said. Or if they kind of just use the
- 6:56similar cloudy effect they used for the ship at the start of the
- 7:00episode and just remove the star field and just put the Doctor in
- 7:03Leela in the middle of it. You know what the madness about
- 7:06this story is, right is that obviously horror fan rock wasn't
- 7:09supposed to be horror fan rock. It was supposed to be the
- 7:11vampire mutation as a way of. That's right, state of.
- 7:13Decay so that couldn't be made first anymore.
- 7:16So this bloody script was rushed into production with little pre
- 7:20and Graham Millers must be going.
- 7:22Really, I've got to start with this one and rush it.
- 7:26So I imagine if they had a bit more time they could have ironed
- 7:29out some of the kinks. Oh, here we go down the plug
- 7:32hole again. I remember they wouldn't let
- 7:34them make the vampire mutations because, well, we don't want you
- 7:39taking the piss out of our really good serious upcoming
- 7:42Dracula. Whatever.
- 7:43You've seen it. It's.
- 7:44No, I've heard it's. Terrible.
- 7:46It's awful. It's nowhere near it's gonna
- 7:48stay. On the merry go round.
- 7:50Oh, I love it. There we go.
- 7:52That's very prisoner as well there the Rover effect and.
- 7:55Yeah, Andrew, the studio footage of that is on the DVD.
- 7:59Amazing. And you just see them going
- 8:00round and round. Tom's going, oh, we done.
- 8:05I always figured this is sort of like his waxy ear hole.
- 8:09It's a waxy something hole. Yeah, indeed.
- 8:14Well, he's never listening, so you know.
- 8:17I mean, you know, I don't really love to think about what's under
- 8:20my skin, but it's not very nice, is it?
- 8:22Any of it? So yeah, what's running down the
- 8:26walls there? I feel like the.
- 8:28You know, that sounds like insulation foam.
- 8:30They've just gone like mad with a spray gun of that.
- 8:34Like Gallifrey, the insides of Time Wars are very brown.
- 8:41Oh, that's great. The cat see that's that's a good
- 8:43Eddie where he goes. Oh, the leg wants to move.
- 8:44Boom straight into his leg flying in the air.
- 8:50You know, if I was, if I was, why is?
- 8:53He giving him a deadline? Why isn't he just storm in
- 8:55there? We've got two more episodes of
- 8:59this. He likes being on the telly.
- 9:01He's been on that screen about four times already.
- 9:04Oh yeah. Are you listening to me?
- 9:07This is my last. Your last warning.
- 9:10Oh dear, Oh dear. 122 and a half, three and two and three
- 9:18quarters. You know, I think you're right.
- 9:21Those those studio lights are obviously very hot.
- 9:23That cannot be a comfortable costume that woman is wearing.
- 9:27Just just to chill and eat on a old Blimey.
- 9:30Future joke. Oh no, a bit like the Tereleptil
- 9:33man didn't they said all of this sweat Belchy went Oh my God,
- 9:37that shot of Leila. No, thank you.
- 9:39Good grief. Come on, what?
- 9:41What's wrong? Look at.
- 9:42That short This is outrageous. I'm sorry.
- 9:44I'm not looking if you see one publicity shot of them, I think
- 9:46must be on some way something well on the roof and you could
- 9:49she's virtually hanging out. It's like Jesus, how the hell
- 9:52are they? I mean if they.
- 9:53Do they seem to have paused it? That was a bit exploitative
- 9:58there, that camera angle. Yeah, it gets like that
- 10:01sometimes when when I watch like an old Pertwee or something, I'm
- 10:04just like, come on, man. Like, do we all right, Joe Brown
- 10:08is very, very attractive woman. Do we need that angle?
- 10:11I guess they didn't really think through like the height of
- 10:14canine and. The.
- 10:17Amount of sort of leaning down that's going to be required.
- 10:20That was Tom Baker's complaint all the time, wasn't it?
- 10:23That he had to Crouch down all the time and have conversations
- 10:25with canine? But at least he's wearing
- 10:26fucking cloaks. But Tom Baker's 6 foot whatever
- 10:29to come down to that level, of course sold.
- 10:32I think, I think it's right. I mean, you need to come down to
- 10:35canine like he's the star of the show.
- 10:38Yeah, that's right, dangling bitch.
- 10:40Will you look at this? I love that effect.
- 10:43It's really good. What is it supposed to be like
- 10:45neurons or something? The.
- 10:47Ganglion like that. Of the Ganglion.
- 10:49I didn't realise we had a scientist on Nicole.
- 10:52That's probably, I don't know where I'd like that from
- 10:56GCSCCIN. See, I'd love to.
- 10:59Where's the idea of a scratchman, Tom?
- 11:01Come on. There's a boy who kicked pigs
- 11:02over there. When you when you look at the
- 11:06making us, because these things are on the DVD as well, they're
- 11:09actually making these things and they're obviously going up and
- 11:11down that a bit in the middle and they're sort of colouring in
- 11:13bits on the solid. So I don't know, I just think it
- 11:16looks quite impressive for I. Think it's really good.
- 11:19What's the fact? It's fact.
- 11:20You've got an interest. It's interesting to look at,
- 11:23isn't it? It's not, not just some they've
- 11:25dodge chucked a couple of walls up.
- 11:27It's you've got little bits and pieces unless.
- 11:29We I'm talking about Underworld now.
- 11:31Oh, back on the balls. So which part of the doctor's
- 11:37brain insists that he has to go to the pub all the time?
- 11:41I'm so sorry to say this as well, but they are hairy balls
- 11:45as well, aren't they? If you tuned in for this episode
- 11:50and you hadn't seen the others, you would just be like what the
- 11:52fuck is why are there 2 doctors? Why are they in a brain now?
- 11:56She's in a corridor. Oh, that was your favorite bit,
- 11:59Joe? Oh, that's.
- 12:00Terrible girl, bless it. The poor special.
- 12:05Effects, man. The special effects man, who is
- 12:08not mad over it? I can't remember who it is.
- 12:10It goes well. The first time we did it, it
- 12:12looked pretty good. And then they were like, right,
- 12:13can you glue it back on? We're going again.
- 12:15It's like, are they trying to make us look bad?
- 12:19The kind of the the look of the wall is really nice, though it
- 12:23does look melted. But but also as well look, it
- 12:26looks like you know the layers of the earth.
- 12:28Take it from the rock, from the asteroid.
- 12:30Yeah, yeah. That's quite nice.
- 12:32I guess it hides the fact that it's just a chunk of
- 12:35polystyrene. Oh yeah.
- 12:37And it, it hides K9 quite effectively as well.
- 12:39You know, he's, he can't be seen.
- 12:41Oh look, there's the countdown. Does Leo not notice that the
- 12:44guns doesn't have any? She hasn't even gone in yet.
- 12:49It's like a mixture of Chipnor Muffet, isn't it?
- 12:51Too many ideas from Moffett. Chipnor loves the countdown.
- 12:55I'm sure somebody will sell Sacrifice before the end of the
- 12:57story. Is there anything RTD in here
- 13:00for a full set? Well, actually he just had a
- 13:03very sweet moment with Parsons where he gave him the gun and he
- 13:06said, Parsons, now if I turn, don't hesitate to shoot me
- 13:09because I won't hesitate to shoot you.
- 13:11Thanks man. Very chips and.
- 13:15The lady in the garbage bags, Like what about me?
- 13:20Andrew, if you have one of my cakes tomorrow, I won't hesitate
- 13:23to kill you. And if I have one of yours,
- 13:25don't hesitate to kill me. All right.
- 13:30Oh, that's how it routed and it meant to.
- 13:32I'm so sorry. We're going for afternoon tea.
- 13:35All right. Oh, where are we now?
- 13:39Where? Are we now?
- 13:42In the most advanced computer system ever devised.
- 13:45Did anyone play the terrible 90s Doctor Who computer game where
- 13:49you went into the brain? No.
- 13:50That's the. Kind of doctor or something.
- 13:53Destiny of the Doctor. Oh, with the Anthony Indian is
- 13:56camp links? Yeah, it was.
- 13:59It was impossible and I could never work out how to do any of
- 14:03it and just wandered around until I was killed.
- 14:06I did play the the DOS space one, the Minds of Terror once,
- 14:11but there was nothing exciting going on in that at all.
- 14:13It was just a load of blocks on the screen, you couldn't see
- 14:15anything. When can I get a Doctor Who like
- 14:18video game where I can travel to a couple different points in
- 14:21history and if I die as the Doctor, hey, look, I'm Trout
- 14:25now. Yeah.
- 14:26And you pick up companions of different planets and stuff.
- 14:29And why is it there a game like that?
- 14:31I don't think they've had great luck ever, have they?
- 14:33They have tried a couple of times.
- 14:35They try a load of mobile games as well.
- 14:37There's still 1 going at the minute, but it's one of those
- 14:39that it's it's hot dog, you don't really do anything.
- 14:41It's that normal, You just tap the same thing that's it.
- 14:44Like on the for like 3 months and I was like what am I doing
- 14:48to myself? Three months.
- 14:51Yeah, and it's like once you have to keep doing it every day,
- 14:55you're like, Oh my God, I'm gonna lose my River Song.
- 14:57Card and then one day you woke up yeah yeah, I.
- 15:02Was like I've got repetitive strain injury in my finger.
- 15:05I've wasted hours of my life. What?
- 15:07Oh dear. Oh, this is like a publicity
- 15:11shot they used a lot, isn't it? It was Tom Baker standing in
- 15:14this this sort of. Set here.
- 15:16Yeah. If this was a missing adventure
- 15:18right here in his brain, you'd see.
- 15:20It being attacked by hairy balls.
- 15:22Oh God. Leila.
- 15:26Oh my God. Watch out for the hairy
- 15:28phagocytes. Slap them in the balls.
- 15:31Yeah, she's. Got a knife?
- 15:33She's got a fucking knife. Stab him.
- 15:35Yeah. Oh, wouldn't that be a great
- 15:38game in the Doctor Who adventure room?
- 15:39You know, popping out the ball? Beware for those hairy
- 15:45phagocytes. They may come at you at any
- 15:47time. Is that what they're really
- 15:50called? I haven't.
- 15:52No, they are in Time Lord Physiology.
- 15:55I don't know if it's like human, but you can call them anything I
- 15:57guess because it's the timeline. It might be another Cadley Lee,
- 16:00you know. No, I think they are called
- 16:02that. I think that's part of the
- 16:04immune. There's a nice shot of you.
- 16:06Really paid attention inside, didn't you?
- 16:08Yeah, type of cell within the body, capable of engulfing and
- 16:12absorbing bacteria and other small cells and particles.
- 16:16It's definitely capable of. You don't get intelligent
- 16:19discourse on this podcast. Yeah, Pepper J Baker, where's
- 16:23your MB modem's name? He'd always has that like Dander
- 16:27action man pose, but he's like a villain and he's holding up his
- 16:30blaster and he's he's amazing. Oh no, he's.
- 16:34Been possessed. No, his tongue's lulling out
- 16:37too, because like. Does he say contact has been
- 16:39made? Yes.
- 16:42How does that work? He's amazing.
- 16:45It's not a brain. Do you remember an Armageddon
- 16:48factor when he has to pretend to be evil and goes to the shadow
- 16:51and goes the doctor has been killed.
- 16:59Oh really? We'll bang that one.
- 17:05There's a knife coming out again.
- 17:08Getting flashbacks of Thomas Bennett Community College,
- 17:13sorry. Only companion series say hey
- 17:16Doctor, should I talk to this person for information?
- 17:19Oh, that's amazing. Thomas Bennett versus Hazel Wig.
- 17:21There was a night fire night. I'm not even joking.
- 17:24It's really affecting their eyes now.
- 17:26Origin story. It was, well, bad.
- 17:30My makeup is so bad now it's covering their eyeballs almost.
- 17:34It's it's like. Yeah.
- 17:36I love it how they gave some K9 the space turn before it came
- 17:39round. So does she faint there, or does
- 17:42she just pretend to faint? What happened?
- 17:44I think K9 shot her in the head, but a little bit too late, so
- 17:50she'd sort of fallen on the floor before they just.
- 17:52Get backed. But then why does K9 headbot the
- 17:54Wall I? Think it went into regeneration
- 17:58mode or something. Yeah, it's him fighting the
- 18:02fighting off the infection. Please take it as the highest
- 18:07compliment you know. If inside of your brains look
- 18:09like this, I'd love to explore it one day.
- 18:11You know, if I could ever be miniaturized.
- 18:14Are you talking about getting inside man again here, Joe?
- 18:17Well, just their brains, you know, it looks like a lot of
- 18:21fun. I I do like the fact that it's
- 18:26got a bit of depth to it as well.
- 18:27There's like one bit in front of another bit in front.
- 18:29Oh yeah, this. I love the the thing just going
- 18:32off into nothing. It's a bit.
- 18:34Like makes. Me laugh like Tina Jones.
- 18:36Yeah, I love that between logic and imagination, it's just a
- 18:40gorgeous line. Well, can we all do it for a
- 18:45second? Imagine the Doctor going on his
- 18:50scarf. Oh yeah, Indy swings by on his
- 18:57whip and he and he goes to pass it along.
- 18:59The doctor's already swinging off in his scarf.
- 19:02Where's that crossover mash up? Paul Mars?
- 19:04Give me that. Yeah, Indiana Guild is going by
- 19:06on a in a mining cart, isn't he? He's just 100 miles an hour.
- 19:11In the doctor's brain. We're not sure why he's there,
- 19:13but yeah, one of his adventures took him.
- 19:15There, Green Lady's been shoved in the cupboard.
- 19:19I think that may be a harassment.
- 19:20We're just going to put you in the shrink cupboard.
- 19:22The cloning cupboard lady. Poor Parsons.
- 19:27Yeah, he barely reacts. Professor Marius.
- 19:30Oh. Well, at least he got shot the
- 19:31first before he fell down, you know?
- 19:36I mean, I think that's very cute.
- 19:37I mean, not that you threw her in the cupboard, but that he
- 19:39tried to save her life. A terrible, terrible hiding.
- 19:44Well, I mean, there's a huge window.
- 19:46It's quite. By the way.
- 19:48Laura or something? I like how they shoot Parsons
- 19:50when they could have just contacted him but.
- 19:52Watch this as she creeps out the room in that green costume.
- 19:58She's just hiding there in the background garbage.
- 20:02Bag I can't remember creeping out music like.
- 20:09Andrew Marius below the belt. I saw that.
- 20:11Look at this. Look where his hand is.
- 20:15You're right, she does. Bloody Snake snuck out and they
- 20:17didn't even go. Look where K9's proof's going.
- 20:20Oh God, is he leaning forward? Is.
- 20:22He he's he's got little bits in the in the back to go up I.
- 20:26Think someone's just giving him a shove.
- 20:28K9 knows what he's doing. We don't.
- 20:30Need to watch Doctor Screw do we we?
- 20:32Just need to know. Invisible enemy.
- 20:35Oh, no, Look that cat. I'm sorry.
- 20:38Now I think it is not on. I'm sorry.
- 20:40That camera's right up her skirt.
- 20:43I could have brightened things up a bit there.
- 20:46OK, Oh, I think this woman, you know, I don't, what's her name,
- 20:49technician #4 she might be the hero of the piece, actually.
- 20:54Is she like the only other woman in this episode as well?
- 20:57Was the lady doing the wonderful?
- 20:59Oh yeah, the receptionist lady. Oh, OK, right.
- 21:02We did like it. Is it the same woman?
- 21:04Well, it was scripted by Robert Holmes, so you know.
- 21:08Two, that's two women in the scene together, right?
- 21:11That's a goddamn miracle. So hang on, are they are they
- 21:14talking about Matt? Yeah, they talk about Mendez.
- 21:16So don't pass the battle test or anything, damn it.
- 21:19God damn it, no. But by the time you get to
- 21:21Stones of Bludgeon over Romana, Vivian Faye and Amelia Rumford
- 21:25having bacon, sour or no. Sausage sausages.
- 21:28Yeah. Lovely.
- 21:30I love a sausage sandwich. Yeah, and I, I, I always forget
- 21:37how big Tom's side sideburns were.
- 21:39He's rocking them. Oh, it's proper 70s.
- 21:42We love it when they get a win machine on them.
- 21:45Yeah, strange, strange sort of question to ask you chaps.
- 21:48Paul Marius with the eye makeup, One of the eyelashes is a bit
- 21:50loose and it's fucking with his eye bin there.
- 21:54When you have sausage sandwiches, do you have sauce in
- 21:57it? Ketchup.
- 21:58Ketchup, OH. Good, good.
- 22:00Luke goes well with a bit of onion as well.
- 22:02Oh cool. Smelly Bright won't be snogging
- 22:05you later. Oh, look, here comes low now.
- 22:09He doesn't know that those phagocytes are everywhere
- 22:12though, does he? It sounds so bad, doesn't it?
- 22:18There's a lot of balls in these scenes coming.
- 22:21Up. I mean, I imagine, just imagine,
- 22:23like Andrew said, you just switched on at the bit where
- 22:25he's attacked by the balls. I mean, he's going, oh, isn't he
- 22:30like you'd be like, is this a new version of Funhouse that I'm
- 22:35not aware of? I'm kind of what is this kind of
- 22:39where fan cringe started? It's because you've gone from
- 22:41that big serious goth and to the point where the kids might take
- 22:46the piss at you on Monday morning for watching something
- 22:49with a load of balls. But like I forgot it could be
- 22:51fun sometimes. Do you?
- 22:53Think we get to a point where who cares?
- 22:56Like you know what I'll for me for now.
- 22:58So nothing really embarrasses me anymore.
- 22:59Look at the state of me. So like watching this, don't
- 23:02embarrass me if someone walked in whilst I was watching so I
- 23:04was going well if you're not enjoying it more for you.
- 23:08No, I'm not embarrassed anymore. I've watched Time Lash for
- 23:10charity and she didn't hate it. In fact, you watched.
- 23:13Time lash for charity? How much did you earn?
- 23:15With charity. Charity.
- 23:19Yeah. I thought this is either going
- 23:21to be a disaster or really good but it turns out like the the
- 23:24part of her that likes cheesy B movies had an absolute blast
- 23:28watching Time Lash so. You know, people tend to do
- 23:30endurance things for charity, so that wasn't unreasonable for me
- 23:33to ask that, you know? We've got the Prawny Claw.
- 23:37Here we go. Yes.
- 23:39I mean, what can 1 say? It's very mobile, isn't it?
- 23:46Yeah. Oh, does anyone have that flaw
- 23:48in the DVD? Oh.
- 23:51A bit David Lynch. All right, all.
- 23:55Right. Yeah.
- 23:57This weird. It's a bit like the the tree
- 24:01with the weird. Shape of the arm diligence.
- 24:06Yeah, I'm hearing some great swarm impressions here.
- 24:11Just a 5 multiplied to perpetuate the species.
- 24:16Yeah, I love this story. Thank you.
- 24:18Revenge of the Swarm, the sequel.
- 24:20You're hired. He's got sort of weird bugly
- 24:25eyes as well, wasn't he? Look, say that now, Joe, but you
- 24:28know that job's going to fucking Nicholas Briggs.
- 24:31Yeah, it's all right. Forgive me.
- 24:35Yeah, poor Tom though. I mean trying to act against
- 24:38this flailing limb. Yeah.
- 24:41Well, at least he didn't pull a creature from the pit.
- 24:43Let's be grateful. I mean, it would have been.
- 24:45Better. It's so bad.
- 24:46It's the the sort of. At least there's a chlorine.
- 24:51That it's attached to. It it's not a bad idea to have
- 24:54that kind of virus as a mod for it, just as a logical model,
- 24:58but. Wouldn't it have been funny if.
- 25:01He tried to shake him some monster at the end, wouldn't
- 25:03that? Be funny seems.
- 25:06Empty seems empty. Tom's walking in, just straight
- 25:08away he puts. His mouth on.
- 25:11It or something? No, let's not go.
- 25:15There, comfort's balls, let's face it.
- 25:17Like even that look, they're shooting that from above.
- 25:19It's it's a reasonably big say. They've dressed it.
- 25:23There's some effort. It's not all working, but there
- 25:25is some effort. I'm going to see the positives.
- 25:30I mean, when the big prone comes out, that's something else.
- 25:33Can you imagine when John Scott Martin was presented with that
- 25:38costume and was told, right here we go, get ready?
- 25:42Get into this lump of shit with a claw on it.
- 25:46Welcome to the BBC I. Didn't even go to.
- 25:52Tony a video. Probably.
- 25:55You don't need me to tell you this, but you know he's doing
- 25:57the claws, right? Yeah.
- 25:59And there's strings, so the legs go at the same time.
- 26:02It's so funny, isn't? It.
- 26:04Oh my God, they have to wheel him around.
- 26:07Yeah, it's too busy this morning.
- 26:09Leela, watch this, though she does stab him in the gut.
- 26:12Yeah, look, watch straight in the gut.
- 26:15It's unbelievable. Oh, my dear.
- 26:17She's not really. Oh no.
- 26:22And here come the balls. Here.
- 26:26Come the balls. Here come the balls.
- 26:28Here come the balls. I like that that's a.
- 26:32Very doctor's hair. Time ending with the two
- 26:36masters, except the stung with the.
- 26:39He must have been pissing himself.
- 26:42Laughing. Oh, dude, I got to roll around
- 26:46with Louise Jameson and Balls. It was amazing.
- 26:49Yeah. Aye, aye, even I've not seen
- 26:53that many balls. Good grief, Jesus.
- 26:57I've heard back that sauna joke. Come on.
- 26:58Oh. Yeah, no, let's not do.
- 27:00That now up you have fallen for my stratagem I'm.
- 27:07Sure, I could go that I. Love, I love a glove to
- 27:09masterminding. It.
- 27:12Oh, is everyone dead now? Yeah, the clones are all gone.
- 27:16That's it. Oh.
- 27:17No, the tear duct. A tear duct.
- 27:19A tear duct. A tear duct.
- 27:21A tear duct. Is that just the lump of Leela's
- 27:23hair? Yes.
- 27:25But this is important. This is an important that point.
- 27:28Yes, that's right. And.
- 27:31A knife Knife. They cloned the knife as well.
- 27:33That's just pretty nice. That's some advanced shit.
- 27:37It's a year 5000. Everything can be cloned.
- 27:39All right. Get over it.
- 27:40Every. Like OK, oh the problem looks
- 27:42shit, let's be honest, but. So the knife.
- 27:44So why are you getting out? I just think it's so brilliant.
- 27:46You think it's the Doctor coming out, right?
- 27:48Not the problem. Yeah, I like though, that the
- 27:51knife and the and the bit of hair stays, even though the
- 27:53clone's supposed to completely like just be destroyed after 10
- 27:56minutes, 55 seconds or something like that.
- 27:59But who cares? Did you guys have the defective
- 28:01DVD where the series free the episode free one car at the tear
- 28:06dug moment or was it just me? Oh no.
- 28:10Oh. My God, no, don't do this.
- 28:14Don't. Show it dancing.
- 28:17To what's it dancing to? Hey, Macarena, no Bush city
- 28:24limit. Boom boom, boom boom.
- 28:27Is this a good time to mention that I'm allergic to
- 28:30crustaceans? At the car.
- 28:33Though this would be my ultimate nemesis.
- 28:39I had AI, had a a seafood paella and I was off work for a month.
- 28:46I had such a terrible reaction to the Bruins.
- 28:50Pat Gorman gets called a medic. Jesus, that's just.
- 28:53Kids Medic. One or two.
- 28:55Both of the women are credited as nurses.
- 28:58Like, yeah. Ah Tony Harding, that was the
- 29:02special effects man name I couldn't remember.
- 29:05Did someone say JNT was involved in this as well?
- 29:07Yeah, he's got a credit. It comes up at some point.
- 29:10I don't know if he was like flawed.
- 29:11Be a production system. No wonder he likes Tata scene so
- 29:15much. That was the norm when he
- 29:17started, I guess. I'm going to say this story
- 29:20really isn't running out of steam, is it?
- 29:22Like, come on. Oh.
- 29:23No, you're not going to get forward.
- 29:26It's kind of that ghost event space bug that we had.
- 29:29It might not be good, but you're going to have a good time with
- 29:33it one way or another. But you know, I've got to
- 29:36confess to you all. I have since listened to The
- 29:38Ghost of End Space again since we recorded our episode and I
- 29:43enjoyed it even more that time. What have we done to you?
- 29:47We've broken you. I.
- 29:48Hope we didn't get you fired. Synchronicity that out?
- 29:54Well, John, you've got to end this one.
- 29:57Well, join us, Join us next time to see if Andrew can complete 4
- 30:00episodes of Talking Complete Balls.
- 30:06It has been a theme, don't you think?
- 30:08It's it's been recurrent, but until then we'll cut it there.
