- 0:04Let's talk. Hey y'all, welcome back episode
- 0:0728. Let's do it.
- 0:09Yes, before I get into it, I just wanted to say thank you to
- 0:13everyone. We appreciate your comments,
- 0:15your engagement, y'all binging the show.
- 0:17You're like we love it. Thank you so much.
- 0:19It doesn't go unnoticed. We love y'all 1K on YouTube.
- 0:26Y'all are the best. So we just we thank y'all.
- 0:28We love y'all all right, get into it.
- 0:31I got a Reddit relationship advice.
- 0:34I told my boyfriend I sometimes miss the freedom of being single
- 0:38and he broke up with me on my birthday.
- 0:40What is up with these dudes messing with women on their
- 0:44birthdays? On their birthdays?
- 0:45Yeah. The last one was triggering.
- 0:46So this one, it's lighter, but still.
- 0:49OK. We're starting off with a bang.
- 0:51Let's go. She said I 26 female have been
- 0:55with my boyfriend, 26 male for about 2 1/2 years.
- 0:59A couple of nights ago we were lying down together and having a
- 1:02really open conversation about different things going on in our
- 1:05lives. The conversation felt safe and
- 1:07honest and I had a really good feeling about it.
- 1:10At one point I told him there was something I wanted to share
- 1:14but asked him to promise not to get mad and just listen first.
- 1:17I told him that he is the love of my life and when I say what
- 1:20I'm about to say it doesn't mean I miss other guys or want other
- 1:23men in my life. Immediately had the preface that
- 1:26like. Immediately, he said.
- 1:28She wants every guy. She hates me, yes.
- 1:31I love that she knew that she had to say that beforehand,
- 1:34before she started what she was saying.
- 1:36She said in fact, the idea of being with anyone else actually
- 1:39makes me uncomfortable. However, I told him that
- 1:42sometimes I miss being single not because of dating other
- 1:46people, but because of the freedom that comes with it.
- 1:49When you're single, you don't have to think about any other
- 1:51person and every decision you make and life feels like it has
- 1:54less responsibility. I also told him that I don't
- 1:57want to break up with him and that I was sharing this because
- 2:00I want to be honest instead of hiding feelings and eventually
- 2:03building resentment. He got extremely upset.
- 2:07Of course he did. Of course.
- 2:09That night he left my place. I begged him to not give you the
- 2:12silent treatment especially because the next day was my
- 2:15birthday. After he left, I called him and
- 2:17texted him but he didn't respond.
- 2:19The next day which is my birthday, he finally answered
- 2:23and he was still very angry. He told me he was breaking up
- 2:26with me and said that he didn't care that it was my birthday.
- 2:29He said he felt used and accused me of wanting to break up with
- 2:32him just so I can hang out with other.
- 2:33Guys, Oh my God, Oh my God, he. Kept saying I wanted to be in a
- 2:37relationship but also be single. He didn't listen to a.
- 2:41Word, he said. It's just in one ear out.
- 2:45We had finally actually planned a birthday trip to Niagara Falls
- 2:48that he was supposed to take me on, but instead he cancelled
- 2:51everything and didn't celebrate with me at all.
- 2:54During our phone call I tried explaining that the reason I
- 2:56sometimes miss being single is also because I often feel like
- 3:00I'm walking on egg shells around town.
- 3:01I was waiting for that part. Yep.
- 3:03He can be very strict and when he gets angry he sometimes gives
- 3:06silent treatment or holds things over me for a long time.
- 3:10I tried apologizing and explaining that I was sharing my
- 3:12feelings because I wanted to fix things, but he kept insisting
- 3:16that the only reason I said that was because I want other guys.
- 3:19I ended up crying most of my birthday and felt really awful.
- 3:23I understood that what I said could hurt someone's feelings.
- 3:26If someone said that to me, I might feel upset too, but I feel
- 3:29like I would ask more questions about why they feel that way
- 3:32instead of reacting like I caught them cheating.
- 3:35How would you interpret a partner saying they miss the
- 3:37freedom of being single but still want to stay in a
- 3:39relationship? And what would be a healthy way
- 3:41for both partners to handle that conversation?
- 3:44Well, I know this is your mom speaking.
- 3:48Uh oh. It's been a minute since we had
- 3:49one of these, Yes. What you were feeling was his
- 3:54insecurity drowning you because clearly she I was waiting for
- 3:59the part where she was like walking on it shells.
- 4:01I can't say anything to him. He hates, you know, the man I
- 4:05work with, he keeps me away from my family.
- 4:08It's like it's just like a checklist of these kind of
- 4:11behaviors. And so in her in trying to be a
- 4:14good girlfriend and make sure that it's her responsibility to
- 4:19judge how he feels, she was like, OK, well, I'm feeling this
- 4:24way, but I want to be open and honest with you, which is true.
- 4:27You want to be open and honest. But what she didn't realize is
- 4:30that she was with the guy who was drowning her, was smothering
- 4:34her with his insecurities. She kept mentioning the freedom,
- 4:37like if you no longer have the freedom to do anything, that's
- 4:41what you're missing. She's like, I still love you,
- 4:43but you're suffocating. You were in prison.
- 4:45OK. It's OK to feel certain way.
- 4:47It's like you were single and the whole like, I don't have to
- 4:51talk to anybody before making any kind of choice.
- 4:53I totally get that. But being like, I have no
- 4:57freedom and I miss that. Is a different story, which
- 5:01sounds like what you were saying.
- 5:04So maybe it seems horrible right now.
- 5:07Maybe, just maybe, let me float it by you, but him breaking up
- 5:10with you might actually be good for.
- 5:13Both of y'all, yes, maybe I'm going to say give it a little
- 5:20time because he did that on purpose.
- 5:22I mean, we'd already mentioned it, but there's been several
- 5:26stories that I've read or we've talked about that things happen
- 5:29on people's birthdays. Like they go out of their way to
- 5:31hurt their feelings. It's like, yeah, this will hurt
- 5:34just a little. Bit more if I do it on your
- 5:36birthday like evil human being. You could have waited a day like
- 5:41Niagara Falls. You tell me you don't want to go
- 5:43to Niagara Falls. Like he would have pushed her
- 5:45in. Don't go to Niagara Falls to
- 5:47somebody who don't like you. I listen to a lot of true crime,
- 5:52OK? No.
- 5:55Don't go hiking, don't go to a cabin in the middle of the
- 5:59woods. Don't do none of that stuff, OK?
- 6:01If he doesn't like you, stay home that far.
- 6:04So maybe it worked. Out exactly how it was supposed
- 6:06to so it was well, good for you, good for you.
- 6:10It hurts, but good for you. Yeah man, all right.
- 6:14Am I the asshole for not staying behind after my niece got
- 6:18arrested? Uh oh.
- 6:20Contacts please. My family was going to be flying
- 6:23back from another family member's wedding.
- 6:26A bunch of us were on the same flight that got cancelled.
- 6:28We were able to get tickets for another flight but it had a
- 6:31layover. My sister sneakily got a direct
- 6:34flight and she basically left us with her 17 year old.
- 6:37That's messed up. She said she had to get back,
- 6:42get back home for work. We know she didn't tell us about
- 6:44her separate flight and leaving her behind because she knows
- 6:47that we would not have agreed. We all think her daughter is a
- 6:51pain in the ass with her chest, with her chest.
- 6:57But anyway, with no other options, we took her with us to
- 7:00the airport and she was her Moody, difficult self the whole
- 7:03time. While we were waiting in the
- 7:05airport during our layover, she got up to supposedly go to the
- 7:08restroom. When she got back, the airport
- 7:10police came up and arrested her for shoplifting.
- 7:13Girl. Are you kidding me?
- 7:15No sense. Sit.
- 7:16Down and do nothing. This is the airport, Calm down.
- 7:21The police said that since she was 17, she would be charged as
- 7:24an adult there and transferred to the county jail.
- 7:28They said that she could be out tomorrow or it could take longer
- 7:31depending on how busy they were. We all had our own places to be
- 7:34and we're tired from dealing with travel stuff.
- 7:36It's so funny when you know where this is going.
- 7:41Most everyone except me had younger kids that were all so
- 7:44tired and cranky. No one wanted to change their
- 7:46flight again and get a hotel for what might be multiple nights so
- 7:51they could stay and wait for her.
- 7:52And at this point we were just fed up with her.
- 7:55We talked to the police about it and they said it would be OK if
- 7:57we took our flight. So we relayed the information to
- 8:00my sister over text. She was upset and demanded that
- 8:03someone stay saying we couldn't just abandoned her there.
- 8:06Babe, you. You left your own you.
- 8:08Mean like you did, Yeah. Like I'm following your.
- 8:11Footsteps by the way, we did check to see and there were
- 8:14multiple flights my sister could have taken to get there by the
- 8:18next day and she said she couldn't because she had work.
- 8:22We said we do too and we got on our flight period.
- 8:25When we got home my sister was freaking out because we all
- 8:28left. She's mostly mad at me for
- 8:30leaving since I don't have kids like the others and she thinks
- 8:33my work is much more flexible compared to hers and they would
- 8:36have believed me if I had just lied about flight issues or used
- 8:39some days off Am I the asshole? I don't think so.
- 8:44You got to learn eventually she's going to remember that
- 8:47this girl was looking for mess. You went to the bathroom so you
- 8:50lied saying you're going to the bathroom when you knew you was
- 8:52about to go steal some stuff. Didn't even attempt to ask
- 8:55anybody. Hey do you have 5 bucks or
- 8:56whatever so I can go get this? Thing nothing she decided she
- 8:59was going to steal and when she finally got caught it's like Oh
- 9:03well girl now you're going to deal about the the issues FO.
- 9:09Seriously, I feel like. This one was not BA because the
- 9:15other situation and the other story read where the brother
- 9:18forgot the passport. They didn't leave him, but I
- 9:20felt like that's more of a reason to leave anyway.
- 9:24They both should have left, you know what I mean.
- 9:26This. No, she's going to learn.
- 9:28She learned that what you do has consequences.
- 9:30That part stay in the county jail.
- 9:33Catch a flight back, we'll see you.
- 9:35What did we learn exactly? And mom also needs to learn
- 9:37because the whole sneaky let me go find a side flight that I
- 9:41could find a direct and didn't say anything to.
- 9:43Anybody. She was irritated with her
- 9:45daughter too, and she finally wanted some time to just be
- 9:48like, I'm gonna leave her. It's your problem now for a
- 9:52couple of. Hours.
- 9:53Oh well, either come back or your daughter is just going to
- 9:56have to spend the weekend in the county jail.
- 9:58I don't understand what this what the problem is, What the
- 10:00problem is? Thank you.
- 10:02That's irresponsible to think that other people should be
- 10:04responsible for your child. That is your child.
- 10:07You know your child too. You know her, you know, and you
- 10:09know what she does and everybody clearly already does cuz they're
- 10:12like, she gets on our damn nerves.
- 10:15Well, I don't think so. I think you were in the right.
- 10:18Get on that flight, not the asshole.
- 10:20Period. All right, so if you've been on
- 10:25the Internet, you've seen this 20 year old guy, don't know his
- 10:28name, but if we can go to my screen, this is him.
- 10:32He already looks like he's going to irritate me and I think he's
- 10:34going to irritate you too. So let's just get into it.
- 10:38Basically, he had an argument. He said that basically because
- 10:41he didn't consent to his own birth, he shouldn't have to work
- 10:45and that his parents should have to take care of him for the rest
- 10:48of his life. I went.
- 10:50I need to pause there. It's not going to be the type
- 10:56that you want. It's not going to be the type
- 10:57that you want. I don't understand.
- 11:00What the hell do you mean? I have to take care of you for
- 11:03the rest of you, for the rest of your life.
- 11:05That's crazy. So when I first saw this, it
- 11:08started off the header was basically like be I didn't
- 11:11consent to birth. And I was like, Oh yeah, for
- 11:13sure. I agree with that.
- 11:14I did not consent to being here. And then he proceeded to be
- 11:17like, then I shouldn't have to work.
- 11:18And I was like, OK, I sort of agree with that.
- 11:20And then when he wrote the parents and that's when I was
- 11:22like, Nah bro, Nah because technically 18 years is all they
- 11:27owe you basically. And you're still.
- 11:29Living at home at 21. So they're giving you what, how
- 11:32many extra years? And he said this in response.
- 11:34Clearly his parents were like, you need to get a job.
- 11:37And he was like, actually, no, I don't because I didn't consent
- 11:40to any of this. That's crazy.
- 11:43At one point, yes, but another point, what?
- 11:46None of us did. None of us.
- 11:47Is there a way to consent to being bored?
- 11:49That part, nobody consented to this.
- 11:52I can understand. You're like, you know what?
- 11:54This sucks. Like, I am unhappy.
- 11:56I don't want to have to get a job and do none of that.
- 11:58But but you're staying here. You're going to have to survive,
- 12:03you know, And I bet he's reaping the benefits of life, you know,
- 12:06music video. Games, you know, life without.
- 12:09Yeah. Reading life without rent, I
- 12:12know you ain't paying rent. There's no way because he
- 12:14doesn't have he doesn't have a job.
- 12:16He didn't consent to this. So I was looking through the
- 12:18comments section because you sent an Instagram where we saw
- 12:21this. I was upset with how many people
- 12:25were on his side who were basically saying, yes, I don't
- 12:30have children. If you don't consent to take
- 12:32care of them forever, forever, no.
- 12:35I. Agreed to this.
- 12:37Arrangement thinking that 18 years was all that I needed to
- 12:39give you. You're an adult at this point.
- 12:42That's why we break it up. You're a baby, you're a toddler,
- 12:45you're a preteen, you're a teen, you're a young adult and you are
- 12:48an adult. When you become an adult, you
- 12:50are no longer my problem. And this thing, you're always
- 12:53there. It's not like I'm not.
- 12:55Here for you. I'm going to guide you.
- 12:57Exactly. But I'm It's not my job to hold
- 12:59your hand for the rest of your life.
- 13:01No, I don't want you to hold my hand.
- 13:02I want you to support me. I need a monthly check.
- 13:06Oh, every month. Oh, so we making demands now?
- 13:08That's what we're doing, he said.
- 13:12I need my support for the rest of my life.
- 13:15That's ridiculous. I don't even understand how that
- 13:17comes. But I need to know.
- 13:19I need updates on this guy. Yeah, like I wish he had written
- 13:22into Reddit so we could follow for it.
- 13:24Follow up or at least let him like.
- 13:26What do you mean? I don't I I could see having a
- 13:29an opinion about this. Thank you.
- 13:31But then what did your parents say?
- 13:33And then what? What do you know?
- 13:36If he said that, I would have kicked him out ASAP.
- 13:38Oh, yeah, We're done. We're done.
- 13:39Yeah. It's ridiculous.
- 13:42Yeah. He's irritating.
- 13:43Thank you. You know what?
- 13:47I can see a pattern already. Because these stories, some of
- 13:49them are kind of like rage. A little rage, baby.
- 13:51Just a little bit. So mine, if you would go to my
- 13:54screen. All right, so this man, it's a
- 13:59horrible picture. OK, No.
- 14:01I think it's a great picture. I think it's a great picture.
- 14:04So apparently somewhere in the UKA lawsuit was filed by Tony
- 14:08Finn. OK.
- 14:10He worked for a company for 24 years before being fired and he
- 14:14claimed, among other things, that he had been a victim of sex
- 14:18related harassment after the supervisor, Jamie King, a male,
- 14:23called him, quote, a bald cunt. I wrote, I wrote it down because
- 14:33I was like, I need to make sure I get this right.
- 14:35First of all, I love how other countries use the C word.
- 14:38It just flows up out of them so wonderfully every time.
- 14:43It's not an American. We don't say that all the time,
- 14:47but it's like, perfect. Sometimes, and they're just
- 14:49like, And I love that. It was another man, too.
- 14:52Flowed right out of his mouth. You're not just that, you are a
- 14:57bald. So basically this tribunal, this
- 15:03employment tribunal or whatever, which was, I'm sorry, this is so
- 15:08ridiculous. You're going to I apologize All
- 15:11right so it was there the people who made a ruling on this was 3
- 15:16bald men They. Said a bald court.
- 15:22It was a bald court who said who said yes you are correct and I
- 15:31highlighted this because I had to see it, He said the the
- 15:35ruling made by a tribunal panel of 3 bald men and found that
- 15:39commenting on a man's baldness in the workplace is equivalent
- 15:43to remarking on the size of a woman's breast.
- 15:45No, it is not. No, it's not.
- 15:49No, it's not. I don't understand how you make
- 15:52that distinction. A bald head and woman's breasts.
- 15:57Me commenting on a woman's breast is the same as me saying
- 16:01you're bald like. It's.
- 16:08Right, I don't. Why?
- 16:11Get it? See.
- 16:11No correlation. Well, according to them, because
- 16:14I wrote all of this down, because I was fascinated Mr.
- 16:18King uttered those words. This is the the cunt.
- 16:22The cunt caller, Mr. King, uttered those words with the
- 16:27purpose of violating Mr. Finn's dignity and creating an
- 16:30intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating and
- 16:33offensive environment for him. In our judgement, there is a
- 16:36connection between the word bald on the one hand, and protected
- 16:40characteristic of sex on the other.
- 16:43Still. Still.
- 16:44Why? What is the connection?
- 16:46No clue what he said was offensive.
- 16:49It was, and that was a thing. He should have been in trouble,
- 16:52especially because he was his supervisor.
- 16:56Saying that in the workplace that was unprofessional and that
- 16:59was offensive, but it was not sexual harassment.
- 17:02No, it was not. He wasn't coming for a part of
- 17:05your body that is often associated with sexual
- 17:09tendencies or manners. It wasn't.
- 17:12No, it's a fact. Yes, you can wear your bald head
- 17:16in my office. I can't wear my bare titties in
- 17:18the office. OK.
- 17:28Stop it. I don't see the correlation.
- 17:34I love to. Wear your bond because you can
- 17:40pick how bold do you want to be Because you can't, because the
- 17:51picture. Oh my God.
- 18:02Oh my God. OK, we got to keep going.
- 18:09That's amazing. OK, so I think there's room for
- 18:12argument here if we had more time to discuss.
- 18:15Then I maybe can see his point of view.
- 18:18I cannot. I'm sorry, I just can't.
- 18:21There are certain parts of your body that are OK for being out,
- 18:24right? Because even a male and not in
- 18:26the office, but a male could have his shirt off and it's not
- 18:30considered sexual. You know, he's at the gym, he's
- 18:34at the beach, whatever. A woman can literally never have
- 18:36her top off without it being considered sexual.
- 18:39So I don't understand how you made this correlation, but he
- 18:43did. He went to three other bald men
- 18:45and they rolled with him. And yeah, he won, I think.
- 18:49It's dumb. I'm sorry.
- 18:51I think it's so dumb. I'm sorry he offended you.
- 18:54I really am. That was inappropriate and that
- 18:56was wrong. What he did was wrong.
- 18:58However, you're, you're, you're doing extras right now.
- 19:01I don't think that it has anything to do with anything
- 19:03sexual. No.
- 19:04That's just me though. Before.
- 19:09We finish this one. Can you say say?
- 19:12What? Oh, Oh my God, they're giving
- 19:13me. They're giving me permission.
- 19:14Y'all OK? He called him a bald.
- 19:19Cunt I'm giving so much permission because you guys hold
- 19:26this podcast as it was a quote. It was right there.
- 19:33On a less funny note, unfortunately, I wanted to bring
- 19:36up this guy, Cornelius Anderson. If we can go to my screen, this
- 19:40is him right here. And basically the heading of the
- 19:44news article was that this man was sent to jail 13 years late,
- 19:50which is odd because how does that happen?
- 19:54So back in 2000, he committed a crime.
- 19:56It was armed robbery. He got, you know, convicted.
- 19:59He went to, He went to what court?
- 20:02Yeah, He went to court about the whole situation.
- 20:04They convicted him. They said, OK, we'll get back to
- 20:07you on when we're going to take you to jail.
- 20:09They never did. They never checked in, they
- 20:13never did anything. They never came for him.
- 20:15He said OK. He reminded them that I'm still
- 20:20waiting on your orders and which jail to go to.
- 20:22Essentially, he never ran. He never ran.
- 20:25He never changed his name. He never did anything.
- 20:27He proceeded to go on 13 years. He got married.
- 20:31He had two kids. He divorced.
- 20:32He got married again. He started businesses.
- 20:35He paid his taxes. He renewed his driver's.
- 20:37License and they still did not come for him until until 2013.
- 20:44They were going through the whole case and they're like, OK,
- 20:46this guy has almost reached the end of his sentence until they
- 20:49realized he ain't never been in jail.
- 20:53He's never. Been.
- 20:54He didn't go. He didn't.
- 20:55Go he out there free as a bird, like he is fine.
- 20:59And they're like wait, hold up. And so they bring like armed,
- 21:03fully armed individuals, SWAT to go to his house and arrest him.
- 21:08In front of his three-year old. In front of his family, which is
- 21:11wrong. And so he was sentenced to jail.
- 21:14He's serving his time. He think he went ten months, I
- 21:16think 10 months behind bars and they had a petition that got
- 21:2135,000 signatures. He decided to challenge this and
- 21:24go back to court and be like, hey, I'm not this person
- 21:27anymore. It's been 13 years.
- 21:29How can we fix this? The judge basically was like, I
- 21:33understand this is wrong. We should make sure that you get
- 21:36out of jail. Shout out to the judge.
- 21:38So he made it so that it wasn't. He didn't set out on bail or
- 21:43something. Yeah, he got time served
- 21:44basically. So he didn't actually serve it.
- 21:47But because of the amount, the things that he had done while he
- 21:51was at home, he basically had paid his debt to society because
- 21:54he was a good person. He was doing everything that he
- 21:57was supposed to do. Yeah, that was judge discretion.
- 22:01But the way I look at it as the goal of jail, even though we
- 22:05know this is bullshit, it's supposed to be rehabilitation,
- 22:08yes, right. And so this person did something
- 22:12wrong. Nobody got hurt too.
- 22:13I don't know if you read like what the thing was, there was a
- 22:16bank teller who was about to deposit the money into the, you
- 22:20know, which is so I used to work at a bank.
- 22:22They give you a bag of money and they're like, walk over here to
- 22:24this bank and put it in this outdoor little slot, which is
- 22:27the dumbest thing ever. But he took the money and
- 22:29bounced, right? And they got his license plate
- 22:32and that's how they caught him, right?
- 22:33But after that, he was a model citizen.
- 22:37Perfectly great like he had. I mean, didn't he like,
- 22:40volunteer for school? This is his family.
- 22:42By the way, he volunteered at a school, he helped coach some
- 22:45kids, started multiple businesses.
- 22:48His family loved him. Like he was a great, you know,
- 22:51member of society, as they say that you're supposed to be.
- 22:54But a lot of those things I will say he was able to do because he
- 22:58did not have this criminal record.
- 22:59And it's not exactly discounting what he did.
- 23:02What he did was wrong, but in this situation situation, he was
- 23:05the perfect person to have never been called to jail.
- 23:07I mean. How does that happen though?
- 23:09I'm so confused how that happens.
- 23:11How do you just don't? They said it was like clerical
- 23:14error. That actually happens all the
- 23:16time, but it normally doesn't take 13 years to find it.
- 23:19OK that makes sense but he reached out to y'all.
- 23:23I wouldn't have done that. She said you have to find me.
- 23:27I would have been outro but he lets y'all know hey, I've never
- 23:31been picked up. I need to go to jail like right.
- 23:33And he stayed in the same city like he didn't even leave.
- 23:36He stayed right there and just built a life.
- 23:40And I still didn't pick him up. So I'm glad that the judge sort
- 23:43of ruled in his favor and been like, OK, time served.
- 23:46You're good. Yeah.
- 23:48Yeah, people make mistakes. They do.
- 23:50And I would have signed that petition if it had come across
- 23:52me. Absolutely.
- 23:53Absolutely. So we were happy to hear about
- 23:55that. I had a had a happy ending, but
- 23:57also 13 years, pretty good ending.
- 23:58And I mean, like, you know, you didn't have to go, Right.
- 24:04Thank you. OK, so this story confuses me a
- 24:08lot. So apparently hundreds of people
- 24:11in Los Angeles are strapping cameras to their bodies to do
- 24:14chores because tech companies are trying to train their future
- 24:19humanoid robots. Pause.
- 24:22I've seen this movie. I've seen.
- 24:24OK, well, since you brought it up, I made a list.
- 24:27Let's start with the list of humanoid movies that didn't go
- 24:30well. You're kidding.
- 24:31You're kidding. I robot.
- 24:32Yes. Literally every Terminator OK,
- 24:36eagle eye 2001, a space odyssey Ex Machina Megan Megan
- 24:42companion. I'm sure there's even been a
- 24:45Black Mirror episode in there or two like come on, this is there
- 24:48has been ideas out there that show you movies that show you
- 24:53this does not end well. This is not going well.
- 24:55These are warnings. But anyway, I'll go back.
- 24:58Sorry. They are trying to create these
- 25:02humanoids and they need these humans to train their AI.
- 25:08So basically you're going home and you're doing laundry, you're
- 25:11taking out the trash, you're washing dishes, you're doing
- 25:14chores around the house so they can train these bots.
- 25:16So sometime in the future you can have a robot in your house
- 25:21that does all your chores your. Chores for you?
- 25:23How do you feel about that? I don't feel good with that.
- 25:25People are already lazy as it is.
- 25:28This is horrible. This is horrible.
- 25:30It's giving Wally, yes, that. Was on my list too but I was
- 25:35like Wally was adorable. Really, really cute, but it's
- 25:38giving Wally having everyone or like these robots do everything
- 25:42for you to the point where you just literally don't even stand.
- 25:45You don't do anything. There's a reason why you have
- 25:47your children do chores like they.
- 25:50It teaches something. It's hard work, y'all, It's hard
- 25:53work. So the AI chat bots that are
- 25:55everywhere now, they stole information from online, right?
- 25:59And so, but these robots, they can't train them with what they
- 26:02were able to find online. And so there's places that are
- 26:05giving people these, these cameras that they put on their
- 26:08head and on their hands and you keep it for two hours, they pay
- 26:12you $80.00 to just go home and do some chores.
- 26:15And so a guy that they asked on the article, he was just like,
- 26:18well, I'm going to do the chores anyway, so might as well make
- 26:20$80.00. I understand you're right.
- 26:24But there's forecasted that the market for humanoids could reach
- 26:28$38 billion by 20352035. Yes, so that's what, So there
- 26:35has been an influx of AI tech companies that are trying to get
- 26:38this right. And there's these things called,
- 26:41what did they call them, ARM farms in other countries where
- 26:46humans are just in a huge warehouse and they're recording
- 26:49first person footage of them doing chores so they can just
- 26:52feed it into these. Programs.
- 26:55Wait, that's scary. That is so scary and they want
- 26:59to get in on this because this is a team.
- 27:02Billion dollar business. Yeah.
- 27:03And they're like let me be the first, let me be the best or
- 27:06whatever. So pretty soon we're going to
- 27:08start seeing some kind of no tech being revealed.
- 27:12No, I'll pass I'm good. I've seen this movie literally.
- 27:17I'm so good over and over and over again.
- 27:21My God, they're going to start like gaining consciousness and I
- 27:25don't like this at all. I see no good ending to this.
- 27:29That's creepy. I understand you're like let me
- 27:30do the chores, get a quick buck or whatever it's like.
- 27:32But you are contributing to what?
- 27:36Are we OK with that? I and you know, and a lot of
- 27:40times it's hard to even put that friend of mine when you're just
- 27:43like, hey, I just need to pay a bill, which I completely get.
- 27:46And they get it too. That's why they're sitting on
- 27:48the side of the road, literally, in Los Angeles, handing out
- 27:51cameras. Looks like they sell it to us
- 27:53because they got a black duffel and.
- 27:54Everything they like and just like, here you go, I'll see you
- 27:56in two hours. You know, it's just, it's the
- 27:59weirdest thing. But they are really just like
- 28:03they're not in Beverly Hills handing that out.
- 28:06So good point. I it's, it's very, there's a lot
- 28:11about this that I don't like. And so, yeah, pretty soon.
- 28:16I don't like that. Humanoids, humanoids, but.
- 28:18OK, so since we're talking and since you decided to say it,
- 28:21well, let's go. So they're not doing this in
- 28:25Beverly Hills. These people, these certain type
- 28:27of people are contributing to this.
- 28:29But I'm sure that the humanoids are going to cost so much.
- 28:32They're not going to be given to those people.
- 28:34They're going to be given to the people in Beverly Hills, girl.
- 28:36No, Go home. Come and do your own chores,
- 28:37basically. OK, that's crazy.
- 28:40We'll be in certain households. That's crazy.
- 28:44That is crazy. Because you know what?
- 28:47I have a problem with this. It's.
- 28:48Like the more I think about it the more it pisses me off.
- 28:51Literally the more I think. No, I have a problem with this.
- 28:53I think it's wrong. Agreed.
- 28:56Agreed. And we didn't want to leave
- 28:59without talking about something really quickly because they're,
- 29:03if you are familiar with the term Florida Man, right?
- 29:07And the game where you can type in into Google into the Google.
- 29:12Into the Google. Your birthdate and Florida Man
- 29:16and an article will pop up. I've literally never seen
- 29:19anybody who didn't have an article pop up.
- 29:22Yeah, like every day of the year y'all are tripping like.
- 29:24Every single year there's a Florida Man article, but now
- 29:27there is an official Florida Man website so you can search it up.
- 29:31It's super easy to find, but we thought it would be funny just.
- 29:34To talk about what happened on our Florida Man birthday.
- 29:37Aw, man, I'll go first because I think 1 is crazy, but I don't
- 29:40have a lot actually. Thank you.
- 29:44All right, so on my birthday, Florida Man with half a head was
- 29:48arrested for attempted murder and arson, and he's there.
- 29:54So Carlos Rodriguez, he Carlos, come on now, be for real.
- 29:58He lit a mattress on fire, basically endangering the lives
- 30:02of the people that was living in the duplex that he was in.
- 30:05But that's not how he his his head got like that.
- 30:09He said don't drink and drive, y'all, because his car and the
- 30:12telephone pole met up and Oh my God, who is this goal?
- 30:17He whoa, I don't know how you achieved that and still and
- 30:21still alive. So Carlos, you're crazy.
- 30:24But then also why are we lighting a mattress on fire?
- 30:27What is for what reason? There was nothing else in the
- 30:30article was literally he lit, he lit a mattress on fire.
- 30:33He endangered some lives. He got arrested.
- 30:34Boom. Yeah, what he has left came up
- 30:39with that idea. What he has left Carlos do
- 30:44better. Come on, Carlos.
- 30:49All right. And this was mine.
- 30:50On my birthday, a Florida teen who was filmed shotgunning
- 30:53Twisted T with an alligator was criminally charged for doing
- 30:57that. So if you were familiar with
- 30:59shotgunning, you have the Can you bite into it and take it to
- 31:04the head? But he had the alligator bite
- 31:07into it for him. Why was he criminally charged?
- 31:10I guess that's animal cruelty. Yeah.
- 31:14Because the animal. Didn't consent to being.
- 31:17I think in a Hardy's parking lot.
- 31:20This is so chaotic like. Every single Florida Man
- 31:25birthday article is. Chaotic like I what are y'all
- 31:29doing? So we want to hear from you.
- 31:31OK, put in the comments section. What's your Florida Man birthday
- 31:34article headline was we want to know.
- 31:36We got to know. Thank.
- 31:40You all right, getting back to the Reddit's everyone's favorite
- 31:43part. I have a Reddit off my chest.
- 31:46The weird obsession men have with women they don't find
- 31:49attractive. I know I'm so sorry but I'm
- 31:52going to do this every week if you let me.
- 31:55You're like I know how to rage Vader so I'm going to do it, She
- 31:59said. I swear most men who are
- 32:01insecure are very very annoying. Like most healthy men.
- 32:05We know you guys have preferences.
- 32:07Women know that you have preferences for skinny women,
- 32:10thick women, whatever you like. We know you guys tell us
- 32:13everyday on the Internet what you like, but when someone you
- 32:19don't find attractive comes on your screen you could just
- 32:21scroll or watch and move on. Instead, some men will make a
- 32:25whole video or leave a comment saying that they don't like her
- 32:28and that she needs to lose weight to fit their body
- 32:30standards or their vision. Right.
- 32:33And I don't get it. Why do men do that?
- 32:36Why do men want women to change for them?
- 32:39People don't want to admit it, but plus size women get the most
- 32:42hate. Skinny women get their share of
- 32:44criticism too. They do, but plus size would
- 32:47make it treated worst. That's just a reality.
- 32:50And honestly I feel like you have to be a little rebellious
- 32:52too because the people who rebel against society are the ones who
- 32:56make the biggest impact. Nobody really respects people
- 32:59who are trying to please everyone, so sometimes you just
- 33:02have to come in confident and exist in your body.
- 33:05If you're insecure and constantly trying to change
- 33:07yourself for people, no one will respect you.
- 33:10You have to show up in your body, live your life, and stop
- 33:13shrinking yourself just to make other people feel comfortable.
- 33:15Sometimes simply existing confidently is what triggers
- 33:18people the most. Man, that last part and I wanted
- 33:23to. Read that because I was like
- 33:24yes, I want to break down why men feel the need to just
- 33:29comment even though they don't have to.
- 33:34I feel like there is a certain certain bit of ownership over
- 33:37everybody and everything. And so if you are scrolling and
- 33:42you see something that you're like, oh, I don't like that.
- 33:44Instead of just thinking it, you were just like, you know what,
- 33:47I'm going to let everybody know I don't like this because
- 33:49everybody deserves to know what I think.
- 33:52And that's the problem because who cares if you don't like
- 33:57that? Who cares?
- 33:58But you're going to let her know that she needs to go to the gym.
- 34:02She needs to eat a sandwich, like whatever it is, it's your
- 34:04preferences. So, so she can match you, match
- 34:07you. But hey, I forgot to tell you,
- 34:09you are watching her. She's not watching you.
- 34:13I didn't reach out to you exactly.
- 34:15So it comes. That's crazy.
- 34:18Well, and that's the point if I post it, If you just like
- 34:22anything else, I see bad takes, hot takes, things I don't agree
- 34:25with all day every day. You know what I do?
- 34:28Scroll past. Keep on scrolling because it's
- 34:30free. And it takes. 2 seconds but they
- 34:33have to stop and let you know that they don't like it.
- 34:36And that's what she's asking. Like why?
- 34:38What is it that makes it so you have to do that?
- 34:41And on top of being like, I would actually even be more
- 34:45inclined to be like. OK, you don't like that.
- 34:47That's your opinion. We all have our opinions, but
- 34:49it's not the I don't like it, It's the I don't like it.
- 34:52Here are here's what I need you to do to change that for me,
- 34:56Right, right. And that's the problem.
- 34:58And I find that fascinating because I see a lot of times
- 35:00because the conversation has been had about conservative men
- 35:04who are looking for liberal women in these dating apps.
- 35:08Instead of getting conservative women, they want to get a
- 35:11liberal woman and like, change her to quit your job, you know,
- 35:18have my babies, forget about your dreams and everything that
- 35:22you said you wanted to do this thing that I want you to do,
- 35:24Like it's something to conquer. And so that kind of ties into
- 35:29that, you know what I mean? And it's like you would be
- 35:32perfect if you did XYZ because then you will match my image of
- 35:38what I want instead of just like being like she's not for you.
- 35:43So many people in the world find the one that's for you and
- 35:46that's what women do. We're like, that didn't work,
- 35:48OK, that didn't work. And we go when we find what we
- 35:50need. But trying to change the
- 35:53situation to be exactly what you need?
- 35:55That's a lot of work y'all. That's a lot of work and takes a
- 35:59certain level of narcissism. Exactly.
- 36:01You know, And it's just like, why does somebody have to
- 36:04change? Why can't you just find the
- 36:05person who's already that thing that you want instead of being
- 36:10like, you know what I'm going to do?
- 36:12Change everything about you. That's insane.
- 36:15And that really makes me think it's like, do you like being
- 36:18with a woman or do you like changing the woman?
- 36:21Do you like the process of changing her or do you like
- 36:23actually being with the person? Conquering her instead.
- 36:28All good questions and these are just questions y'all Like I'm
- 36:31genuinely curious, why does that happen?
- 36:33Why do you feel the need to you know what I mean?
- 36:36And her saying that, it's like all these comments in the Reddit
- 36:39were like, yeah, I've had that too.
- 36:40I've posted things and people were like, you need to do this.
- 36:43You need to change. And no matter if you change,
- 36:46some people were like, I changed too for my boyfriend.
- 36:49And there were different things that he needed me do at that
- 36:52point. Yeah, it's never, it's lose
- 36:53weight. I lose it, gain weight, I gain
- 36:55it. It's always something.
- 36:57It's never perfect. And it's like, OK, what is
- 36:59perfect now? The prize is always a man.
- 37:00Right. So to get.
- 37:02Me and any. Other man you need to do what we
- 37:05want you to do as opposed to we're equal and you're a prize
- 37:13I'm a prize it's not that right there's no equality it's you do
- 37:18what I need you to do to be to come over here exactly we don't
- 37:22meet in the middle no at all because.
- 37:25I in the best thing that you could get.
- 37:28It's king over queen. Oh my gosh.
- 37:29Well. The reason why you don't have a
- 37:33man? That he said his favorite quote
- 37:37is the reason why you don't have a man.
- 37:39Okay, like I'll stop you right there.
- 37:40Makes you think I want one. Exactly.
- 37:42Or you're gonna die alone with your cats.
- 37:45First of all, women don't die alone because they cultivate.
- 37:47They cultivate relationships outside of romantic.
- 37:50Thank you. Okay.
- 37:51Thank you. Speak to anybody who works in
- 37:55elderly homes, retirement homes, anything like that Hospice.
- 37:59They will tell you that men die alone and women are surrounded
- 38:03by people who love them because they cultivated those
- 38:05relationships. So that's not the flex you think
- 38:08it is when you say that to a woman.
- 38:10And also we I love my cat, so bye whatever.
- 38:18That's good one. Thank you.
- 38:20Thank you for having a discussion with us.
- 38:23Am I overreacting? My neighbor apparently spies on
- 38:26me when my husband is away. Whoa whoa.
- 38:32My husband took a weekend trip with our kids.
- 38:34During this time, my brother came over to discuss some
- 38:37cognitive decline our mother has been showing signs of.
- 38:39We purposely waited to have this conversation while my kids were
- 38:42away since it wasn't something they should be hearing or
- 38:44worrying about. Later that same evening, our
- 38:47cousin also stopped by. We had some drinks and our
- 38:50cousin ended up driving my brother home.
- 38:52Apparently when my brother arrived, the neighbor was
- 38:54outside and gave him a smile and a wave.
- 38:57When my brother's car spent the night in our driveway, my
- 39:00neighbor snapped photos of it and texted my husband with the
- 39:03description of the man who he assumed spent the night telling
- 39:06my husband I was cheating on him.
- 39:09Really. Really.
- 39:12How? Why are you noticing things?
- 39:14Yeah. All of them have business.
- 39:18My husband of course laughed it off and told our neighbor that
- 39:20was my brother's car and he left it there because he had a few
- 39:23beers. My husband also showed me his
- 39:25text history with the neighbor where the neighbor has been
- 39:27texting him random observations like this on and off for a
- 39:30while. At no point does my husband
- 39:33encourage this. He actually told the neighbor
- 39:35several times that this isn't necessary, he trusts me and he
- 39:39needs to stop surveilling me. The neighbor laughed it off and
- 39:42insisted they need to look out for each other.
- 39:44Excuse me? Is that a threat?
- 39:47Like what? If he does it again, I'm going
- 39:51to make an online police report. I don't expect the police to do
- 39:54anything, but if I make an online report it's assigned a
- 39:56case number that I can follow up with if anything else does
- 40:00happen. Right?
- 40:01At this point I'm feeling creeped out and mad at the
- 40:03neighbor and want to confront him.
- 40:05My husband prefers to just keep texting back saying there's no
- 40:08need for this and overall ignoring it.
- 40:10No am I overreacting? You're not and your husband
- 40:13needs to be doing more. What do you mean texting back
- 40:16like? This is a normal conversation
- 40:17now, right? You're making it normal every
- 40:19time you reply. Very right, like because this
- 40:22has been going on for a long time apparently and now I'm
- 40:25running around just living my life and he's his little nosy
- 40:28ass is over there texting you. That's insane.
- 40:32That's insane. First of all, why did it take
- 40:34him so long to tell her? Tell me, why aren't you more
- 40:37disturbed about this? That this man, that this man is
- 40:40stalking me? Basically he is stalking me.
- 40:45There's an update, a little update.
- 40:47So she said, well, to add, it's not constant surveillance.
- 40:50It seems to be only when he knows my husband is away.
- 40:54The last message was seven months before this incident.
- 40:58And then the edit too is my husband's going to text him
- 41:01using stronger words to tell him to stop it and clearly saying he
- 41:05finds it inappropriate and it makes us both uncomfortable.
- 41:09Respectfully, your husband is a punk who doesn't like
- 41:12conversation. Go over there, go over there.
- 41:17What are you doing? Because you saying you don't
- 41:20have to do this. I trust her and you need to
- 41:21stop. He was like don't worry about it
- 41:23bro, we need to stick together. That's insane.
- 41:25He's like if you. Don't got your wife?
- 41:26I do like and I don't like the idea of some strange man across
- 41:31the street watching me. Thank you.
- 41:34Live my life because you have to have already been watching me to
- 41:37know when you need to thank you. Report to my husband.
- 41:41That's insane. I can understand if it was just
- 41:44a random like like this. This would make sense if you
- 41:47know I'm out of town and you just happen to be outside and
- 41:50you were like hey bro, I don't know if you know but there's a
- 41:52strange car in your driveway pro code.
- 41:53I would actually expect you to do that.
- 41:56But the fact that this has been going on, anytime he goes out of
- 42:00town, you are watching me. Watching me.
- 42:03No. Is the husband cool with that?
- 42:04Is he like he just giggles? And laughs it off like it's
- 42:07fine. It's not cool.
- 42:08And also if you think it's fine and if the general situation is
- 42:12fine based off principle. If your wife is uncomfortable,
- 42:15you need to do something about that.
- 42:17Just off that, why aren't you? Go talk to this man.
- 42:20Go over there physically. Why are you?
- 42:23Talking on the phone like I don't understand.
- 42:26That part, people. Don't like confrontation as much
- 42:29as I want them to. As much as you want them to,
- 42:34she's like I am here for. It like I need you to do.
- 42:36Stuff. Yeah, In this situation, yes.
- 42:39If I feel uncomfortable with our neighbor, I would expect you to
- 42:41go over there. Yes, you should.
- 42:44Not over your crazy work. No.
- 42:48All right, Read it off my chest. I found out my father was
- 42:51cheating, but he said to me afterwards.
- 42:53Still haunts me sometimes. The people who are supposed to
- 42:57protect you the most end up being the ones who hurt you the
- 43:00deepest. I wish I could forget what my
- 43:02father said to me, but even after a year, those words still
- 43:05echo in my mind. I live far away from my parents
- 43:08for college and stay with my twin sister who helps take care
- 43:11of me. Our relationship with our dad
- 43:13really sweet, right? Our relationship with our dad
- 43:16has never been easy, but last year, something happened that
- 43:19completely changed how I see him.
- 43:21His account has been logged into my phone and that was how I
- 43:24discovered he had been cheating. Seeing it with my own eyes felt
- 43:28like the ground disappeared beneath my feet.
- 43:31But her even more was realizing that this wasn't his first time.
- 43:34When I was very young, he already had another child
- 43:37outside the marriage. In a painful way, it meant that
- 43:39this pattern had been a part of our family for a long time.
- 43:43What? When I confronted him, I didn't
- 43:45expect things to suddenly be OK. I was just hoping for honesty,
- 43:49maybe maybe even some accountability.
- 43:51Instead, everything turned to anger.
- 43:54Our conversations quickly became arguments.
- 43:56My phone started filling up with long messages from him, full of
- 43:59insults and blame. Wait, wait.
- 44:01OK what? So now you are deflecting onto
- 44:05me because so did he tell mom that this is my fault?
- 44:09Wait for it, I'm invested. But one day he completely
- 44:12exploded and sent a flood of messages that I will probably
- 44:15never forget. He told me I was a terrible
- 44:18child. He told me I would fail in life.
- 44:22He cursed at me over and over and over again.
- 44:24Then the messages became darker. He said he wished I would die.
- 44:31He said he should have unalived me when I was younger.
- 44:34He said he would unalive me if he ever saw me.
- 44:36He said I would end up as a single mother.
- 44:39What? Yes.
- 44:41I remember staring at my phone in disbelief, rereading the
- 44:44messages again and again because I can't believe a father would
- 44:47say things like that to his own child.
- 44:49Because I caught your ass cheating.
- 44:51You're in the wrong, but you're coming for me.
- 44:54After that, I fell into a really dark place emotionally.
- 44:57I would spend hours crying in my room, sometimes entire days.
- 45:01Being alone with my thoughts felt unbearable.
- 45:04Eventually I went to stay with my grandparents for a while
- 45:06because it was the only place where I could feel some peace
- 45:09and warmth again. For months I struggled just to
- 45:11feel normal. It's a strange kind of pain when
- 45:14the person who is supposed to love you unconditionally becomes
- 45:16the source of your deepest hurt. I keep asking myself the same
- 45:20question over and over. How can a parent say things like
- 45:22that to their own child? Now it has been a year since
- 45:25that happened, but the memories still feel fresh.
- 45:28Recently I heard he might be coming back for a family event
- 45:31and just hearing that brings all the memories rushing back.
- 45:34I don't know if you will ever acknowledge the damage those
- 45:37words caused. I don't know if you ever
- 45:39apologize. Maybe writing this is just my
- 45:41way of finally letting some of that pain out.
- 45:43If anyone else has experienced something similar with a parent,
- 45:46how did you cope with it? Yeah, that's a that's that's
- 45:51valid reason to go no contact forever.
- 45:54Forever. Did I black out?
- 45:57Did did you tell me whether he told or this?
- 45:59Person told the mom. Does the mom know?
- 46:01No, I we don't know any of that. We we don't know.
- 46:04I think the poster just wanted to acknowledge the fact that the
- 46:07dad threatened her life because she found out about his mess.
- 46:12Yes that is so dark is so dark and disgusting and not OK.
- 46:18You are habitual. You do this habitually because
- 46:22there was already a child, the child out of wedlock when you
- 46:24were young. And now he's continuing to do
- 46:26this. He wants to be able to do this
- 46:28free and clear and nobody say shit to him.
- 46:30And the fact that you called him out made him wait and
- 46:34immediately started going for you like that.
- 46:36And the fact that she's like forever scarred for just saying
- 46:40something exactly that. Whoa.
- 46:42That makes you never want to say something again.
- 46:45And you thought, OK, this is the time when I could come to you
- 46:47like, you're my dad. You may not be doing something
- 46:51the right way. And nobody wants to be told
- 46:53about their shit, right? No one.
- 46:54But. But what you just did was
- 46:57horrendous. I could never see myself saying
- 47:00that to my child. Exactly.
- 47:02And it doesn't even seem like his child was coming to him
- 47:05being like, why are you doing that?
- 47:07No, thank you. No, that's not my child.
- 47:10It doesn't seem like the poster was coming to this man.
- 47:14About the fact that you're cheating and was blaming you, it
- 47:17was just like a be honest with me.
- 47:19You've made this mistake before. I'm not judging you.
- 47:22I'm just saying, could you come clean?
- 47:24And he came for her like threatened her life.
- 47:27I want to say that again. He did threaten her life.
- 47:29Let's remember. That multiple times like in
- 47:32multiple ways, yes. Insane.
- 47:35And I really hope that you told your grandparents, your mom,
- 47:38your twin. I hope you told so they know
- 47:41that he is insane. He's dangerous.
- 47:44Yes, he will protect whatever he has going on.
- 47:47His secret? Life with his child's life.
- 47:49Yes. Wow.
- 47:51I know. No, it's not OK.
- 47:53No, that's disgusting. Yeah.
- 47:55Oh my goodness. So sorry, but I saw that one and
- 47:57I was like, that is insane. Wow, yeah.
- 48:01What's up with these parents? I got an interesting parent here
- 48:04too. OK, am I overreacting for
- 48:08locking my bedroom door because my mother-in-law keeps walking
- 48:11in without knocking? No, yeah, that's a #1 pet peeve
- 48:16of mine. I'm.
- 48:16Sorry, valid. The reason I'm asking if I'm
- 48:20overreacting is because my husband thinks it's normal and
- 48:23says I'm making it into a bigger deal than it is.
- 48:26For context, my mother-in-law is staying with us for two weeks
- 48:29while some work is being done at her house.
- 48:31She's mostly fine as a guest, but she has this habit of just
- 48:35walking into our bedroom whenever she wants to ask
- 48:37something or show me something on her phone.
- 48:40No no you you don't do that to a married couple.
- 48:43I don't know what is wrong with you.
- 48:45See, some you don't want to, some you don't want to sleep.
- 48:55I'm not repeating that. Last night she casually walked
- 49:01into our bedroom while my husband and I were lying in bed
- 49:03watching a movie. No knock, no warning.
- 49:06She just opened the door and started asking where the extra
- 49:08towels were. I was so startled I actually
- 49:11jumped. It's happened several times
- 49:13already. At first I tried to ignore it
- 49:16because I didn't want to make things awkward, but it honestly
- 49:18makes me uncomfortable not knowing when the door might
- 49:21suddenly open. So today I started locking the
- 49:24bedroom door when we're in there.
- 49:25About an hour ago, she tried to open the door, realized it was
- 49:29locked, and started knocking loudly.
- 49:31Really really. When I opened it she looked
- 49:35really hurt and told me locking the door felt quote exclusionary
- 49:40and like I was hiding things from her in her son's house.
- 49:44Whoa, pause. OK, you should have just married
- 49:50your son then if you want to be all.
- 49:52Boy moms, that's the worst. My husband says that's just how
- 49:58she is and that locking the door comes across of us as
- 50:01aggressive. But at the same time it's our
- 50:04bedroom and I feel like wanting basic privacy isn't
- 50:07unreasonable. But now I'm second guessing
- 50:10myself. Am I overreacting for locking
- 50:12the door instead of just letting her walk in whenever she walks?
- 50:15Absolutely not. What?
- 50:17Absolutely not. I don't understand why she's
- 50:21just like. Why are you locking the door in
- 50:24your own House of your own room? You're excluding me.
- 50:26It's like you're meant to be excluded.
- 50:29You have our. Bedroom, you have your own
- 50:31bedroom for a reason and you're temporarily staying here.
- 50:35Don't get comfortable. She is mad comfortable.
- 50:38And he's like, this is normal. This is how she is.
- 50:40Oh no, you not saying anything is making it worse.
- 50:43We have come across so many of these people who were raised a
- 50:46certain way and don't realize the toxicity of it.
- 50:49And so they come across their partner and they're like, oh,
- 50:52this, no, this is not right. It's not this is wrong.
- 50:54Your mother should not be walking into your bedroom.
- 50:56I stopped doing that to my teen son.
- 50:59I was just like, well, I don't know what I'm a walk in on.
- 51:02I'm a knock a little bit with. You, I'm coming in, you know,
- 51:04like, why would you just open the door, walk in Grown people,
- 51:08a married couple, a married couple too.
- 51:11You ain't got no place of business up in this room.
- 51:13Why are you in here? She does want to see it.
- 51:17She wants to know what's going on.
- 51:18And that's the thing some of these boy moms are they go a
- 51:21little too far. And so did you see the video of
- 51:25that woman when they had the gender reveal and they had to
- 51:27hold back the mom because she was about to interrupt?
- 51:30No, you're not. Yeah, she was about to
- 51:32interrupt. What was going on this beautiful
- 51:35moment because we have seen so many of those where the mom runs
- 51:37in and jumps on the sun. The father.
- 51:40This has nothing to do with you. But they held her ass back so
- 51:44hard that. But she was yanking.
- 51:45She's like, I want to get in there.
- 51:46Like, let them have their do I need to leash you?
- 51:49Yes. She was basically leashed.
- 51:51They grabbed her by her bag. They wouldn't let her buy.
- 51:55Goodbye. You're not involved in this.
- 51:58Every relationship doesn't need your little ounce of in your
- 52:02incense. Yeah, like, no, But this is her
- 52:05son's house apparently so that's crazy.
- 52:07She has free reign to go wherever she wants.
- 52:10No, you don't. No you don't not all right, we
- 52:16have another story submission to the show.
- 52:19Yes. I'm so glad that y'all are
- 52:21sending these in and thank you for feeling comfortable with
- 52:23sharing your stories with us again.
- 52:25If you don't know how to submit them, please, we want the tea.
- 52:27So please go submit them. We love your stories.
- 52:31And he said don't make novels. Look, give us all the
- 52:33information we need, but only. The information we need.
- 52:38To determine whether or not it's important or not, That's all.
- 52:42Thank. You all right?
- 52:44Story submission Am IA bad friend for refusing to play
- 52:48along and choosing to stay out of her drama?
- 52:51Maybe. My best friend.
- 52:54Fanny and I, Rita, are 38 years old, born and raised in Mexico.
- 52:59We have been friends since childhood.
- 53:01Over time, I moved abroad, but that didn't stop us from staying
- 53:04close. A little context, We are both
- 53:07professionals in our career. Fanny is ACEO and has a very
- 53:11dominant personality. She likes to be in charge and
- 53:15tell people what to do. Basically, the kind of person
- 53:17who believes what I say goes. We need more ladies like that.
- 53:21Yeah. So I'm not even mad at her.
- 53:25I'm a psychologist. I tend to listen more and
- 53:27analyze situations before reacting.
- 53:30I got a divorce some time ago and recently moved back to
- 53:33Mexico. I'm now engaged to a man who
- 53:35treats me like a queen. Good for you, love that for you.
- 53:38Good for you. Fanny, on the other hand, has
- 53:41never had a serious relationship.
- 53:43She has mostly dated men casually, the typical F boys.
- 53:47Some time ago, she met a man named Jose who seems like a
- 53:51genuinely good person. I get along well with him.
- 53:54At one point, Fanny started telling me what was going on
- 53:57between them, and I noticed that she was acting very immaturely.
- 54:00She would spy on him, get jealous, and throw tantrums like
- 54:03a spoiled child. Oh no.
- 54:05I tried to help her understand that she needs to be patient,
- 54:08especially since she has never been in a serious relationship
- 54:10before. In the past she has always had a
- 54:12very toxic mindset which is probably why it took her so long
- 54:16to find someone decent. Me you talking?
- 54:20You know what? Your best friend knows your shit
- 54:21better than anybody. At one point she told me that I
- 54:27should talk to Jose and tell him that she is an amazing woman.
- 54:31Oh, she wanted you to run interference.
- 54:33Oh. And that I should tell her
- 54:34everything he tells her. That's when I realized she had
- 54:39forgotten that I'm not one of her minions, the friends who do
- 54:42whatever she says because otherwise she excludes them from
- 54:45the group. She forgot that I didn't involve
- 54:48in her games. On one occasion, Fanny, her
- 54:51niece Jose and me went out. I get along well with her niece,
- 54:54so I knew that we would have fun with her.
- 54:57When we arrived, we were enjoying the day, but of course
- 54:59Jose took the opportunity to talk to me privately, which was
- 55:03clearly something she had probably encouraged him to do.
- 55:06At the same time, he knew that I might end up telling Fanny
- 55:09everything. The truth is, is that this poor
- 55:12man doesn't really have many friends because she has isolated
- 55:16him from his family and social circle.
- 55:17She's the toxic one. I told him that if he needed a
- 55:22vent he could talk to me and that he had the right to decide
- 55:25what things he wanted to share with her and what things he
- 55:27preferred to keep private. The more Jose told me about
- 55:30their arguments, Fanny's tantrums, and her immature
- 55:33behavior, the more I realized that she is still the same
- 55:36person she has always been. I had convinced myself that she
- 55:39had changed, but now that I see it's mostly an act to keep him
- 55:42around. He truly loves her and wants to
- 55:45improve their relationship, but she insists that he is the one
- 55:48who needs to change because according to her, he's lucky
- 55:51that I even gave him the privilege of being with me.
- 55:54Girl. I hate when women make me go
- 55:56against them. Dang it.
- 55:59Don't prove what's wrong, damn it.
- 56:03As soon as we finish talking, Fanny immediately demanded that
- 56:06I tell her everything from beginning to end.
- 56:09I told her that I would only share what Jose had given me
- 56:11permission to share. She got upset and told me that
- 56:14as her best friend, my loyalty should be with her, not with
- 56:17him. I explained to her that he also
- 56:20needs someone to talk to. As expected, she got angry not
- 56:24only with me, but also with her niece because she didn't go
- 56:27along with Fanny's pressure to make me reveal everything.
- 56:30Fanny became distant and turned her back on me simply because I
- 56:33refused to give her the information she wanted.
- 56:36So now I'm wondering, am I the bad friend for refusing to play
- 56:38along and choosing to stay out of her drama?
- 56:41No, I don't think so. And also, she's a therapist, so
- 56:44she takes this very seriously. Psychiatrist.
- 56:47Yeah. He spoke to her under the guise
- 56:51of basically faith, like doctor client privilege.
- 56:54Like he said there's things that I would prefer you don't say.
- 56:58So she already takes that very seriously, but also she like.
- 57:02Took it back a little bit. Her friend's toxic and she can
- 57:05recognize that. You know, it's like you have a
- 57:07toxic friend. Like you're good as my friend,
- 57:10but as a partner you're not great, not the best.
- 57:13And instead of improving yourself as a partner, you're
- 57:17asking me to. Essentially lie.
- 57:20Tell Jose that you're actually amazing, just deal with the
- 57:22issues and then report everything back to you.
- 57:25She wants you in on her gaslighting like she she wants
- 57:28you to gaslight this poor man after you've already isolated
- 57:32him from his. Friends, no, his friends or
- 57:34family. He needs to run Jose, you know.
- 57:40You could do. Better.
- 57:41See, this is horrible, but I'm gonna give a red flag to your
- 57:43friend Fanny. Yeah, usually these are reserved
- 57:46for men on this show, but it's true.
- 57:49But I'm sorry. She deserves it.
- 57:52She deserves it. She is doing everything.
- 57:54If you just switched genders you would be like run.
- 57:57Why? Are you even with?
- 57:58Him all this stuff like no, it goes both ways.
- 58:01It does. Toxicity is toxicity, yes, and
- 58:03what she's doing is wrong and I don't think that you are wrong.
- 58:06Poster for sending that in because or for not going.
- 58:10With her plan, No. Yeah, You were there for Jose as
- 58:14a decent human being, which you're still there.
- 58:16She doesn't know it yet, but what you're doing is good for
- 58:19Fanny as well. And no, I don't think you're a
- 58:21bad friend. I think you're a great friend,
- 58:22actually. Actually, yeah, because it's not
- 58:25always about doing exactly what the person wants you to do.
- 58:28It's about doing what's best for them.
- 58:29Exactly. And this would be best for her
- 58:32if she just kind of changed it up a little bit.
- 58:35Get your act together. Yeah.
- 58:37Yeah. So no.
- 58:38And damn you for making me go on the man's side.
- 58:41Why would you do this? We had a great streak all this
- 58:44episode. 'S been men just being terrible,
- 58:47yeah, but now we got to even it out.
- 58:50That's right, because you're wrong.
- 58:54Thank you for sending that. In Thank you so much.
- 58:56That was great, all right. Am I the asshole for spending
- 59:00money on stuffed animals instead of bills?
- 59:04OK. So no, yeah, of course you would
- 59:07say no. I love my stuffed.
- 59:08Animals love your stuffies. OK to start with I'm a stay at
- 59:11home mom. I quit my my dream job to care
- 59:14for the kids as childcare was expensive and my husband didn't
- 59:17want us to pay for it. He said I'd have to find
- 59:20something else to do with the kids, so this is starting off.
- 59:24Yeah, you're irritated already. I started cleaning and
- 59:28organizing family members homes recently for spare money since I
- 59:32could take the younger kids with me while the older are in
- 59:34school. I'm not making much, around $200
- 59:37a month. All of our bills are already
- 59:39paid for with a decent amount of money left for groceries and
- 59:42necessities, so I figured I'd use the $200 for myself since I
- 59:46don't normally get to get myself anything.
- 59:48I use it towards specific stuffed animals I've really been
- 59:51wanting for a while, with sometimes going towards getting
- 59:54lunch with a friend or going for coffee, or sometimes stuff for
- 59:58the kids, and even Valentine's Day gifts for my husband.
- 1:00:02However, my husband got mad at me when he noticed I kept buying
- 1:00:06stuff and when I said I was only using the money I had made, he
- 1:00:09said that's not any better and that if I have money I should be
- 1:00:12using it to pay bills, not on stupid stuff.
- 1:00:16I didn't. OK wait, sorry.
- 1:00:19I am spending it on you. So are you calling yourself
- 1:00:22stupid? I didn't really have any counter
- 1:00:27to that as it's true I'm not contributing at all.
- 1:00:31So I underlined that I will be coming back to that.
- 1:00:34Oh, I just wanted to finally get to go out if I wanted to and buy
- 1:00:38stuff I like. I also didn't feel like the
- 1:00:40little bit of money would do anything for us financially.
- 1:00:44So am I the asshole or is it reasonable to keep it for
- 1:00:46myself? Or should I pay one of the small
- 1:00:49bills that are about $150.00 and just keep 50 for myself each
- 1:00:52month? I feel like you have something
- 1:00:56to say, so I'm gonna allow you to.
- 1:00:58Yeah, that's some stays home and takes care.
- 1:01:00When you say I'm not contributing at all, is what are
- 1:01:05you talking about? Because I know.
- 1:01:09I am so mad because I know I'm supposed to give you a chance to
- 1:01:15talk, but I can't. OK, so stay at home parents.
- 1:01:18I get you know, she said stay at home mom.
- 1:01:19A lot of times they put it only on the mothers.
- 1:01:21A lot of mothers stay home, but sometimes men do as well.
- 1:01:25Stay at home parents is what we're going to say here.
- 1:01:27But to say that somebody isn't contributing because they're
- 1:01:30staying home is the most disrespectful thing I have ever
- 1:01:35heard. And so I looked it up because I
- 1:01:37like having receipts. OK, so if a stay at home parent
- 1:01:40were paid for what they do at home, economists in 2022 said
- 1:01:46they should earn about $126,000 for the 18 jobs that they do at
- 1:01:53home. Some of those include childcare,
- 1:01:56cooking, cleaning, being a chauffeur, being an assistant,
- 1:02:00being a tutor, project management, bookkeeper, the list
- 1:02:04goes on and on and on. And they have to do all of those
- 1:02:07wrapped into one. And if you were to pay them for
- 1:02:10the amount of time they spend doing those individual jobs,
- 1:02:12that comes up to about 126 grand per, which is probably more than
- 1:02:16he's making. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:02:17So to teach, to try to teach this woman that she is not
- 1:02:23contributing and she's going and cleaning, she has to go clean
- 1:02:27houses just to have a little bit of extra money to be able to get
- 1:02:30a coffee to treat herself and then buy a stuffed animal that
- 1:02:34she likes, forbid. And he's like, no, you need to
- 1:02:37put it towards bills that are already paid for.
- 1:02:39What were we going to do with that extra money?
- 1:02:40If I go, if I cover a bill, what are you going to do with that
- 1:02:44money? That's what I'm saying.
- 1:02:47Because if we have extra money, I know he's running around
- 1:02:50getting a coffee or going on a lunch or something like that.
- 1:02:53So don't. No, no, this is dumb, so stupid.
- 1:02:58Don't spend it on things that you enjoy.
- 1:03:00Exactly. She deserves it.
- 1:03:02She deserves it. She's the same.
- 1:03:04She's like, I don't spend money on myself.
- 1:03:06And I remember that when we were young parents, we didn't spend
- 1:03:08money on ourselves at all. All our money went to y'all and
- 1:03:11so. To be like, oh, I have a little
- 1:03:13bit of extra money that I earned, mind you right, she's go
- 1:03:17get your little stuff. Absolutely.
- 1:03:18And I don't like that he doesn't respect everything that you're
- 1:03:21doing for this family, essentially keeping it together.
- 1:03:24And I don't like when people disrespect stay at home parents,
- 1:03:27Yes. Like it's not the hardest job
- 1:03:29you could ever. Literally ever do please.
- 1:03:33And he made her quit her career that she loves.
- 1:03:35Let's go back to Oh yeah, let's go back to that.
- 1:03:37I totally forgot about that. So she probably could have paid
- 1:03:40for daycare with just what she makes.
- 1:03:42If we're covering all our bills and have extra with him.
- 1:03:45She could have paid for daycare even if it's not full time.
- 1:03:48But he was like, no, you have to quit your job because I don't
- 1:03:51want you to. I don't want our kids in
- 1:03:53daycare, right? Right, he's a bad team player.
- 1:03:57Bad team player. Thank you.
- 1:04:02Yes, To undermine what somebody is doing actively.
- 1:04:05And what I think that the the spouses who work don't think
- 1:04:09about about the stay at home parents is you can't do what you
- 1:04:13do. If they don't do what they do
- 1:04:15exactly 'cause you have children.
- 1:04:16Thank you. And if you had nobody watching
- 1:04:18your kids, cooking your meals, all that stuff, you would have
- 1:04:21to pay somebody for that. This is unpaid labor.
- 1:04:25Essentially, she's a slave. Oh my God that escalated so
- 1:04:33quickly. I'm just like, I am hot.
- 1:04:37She is. And she deserves better than
- 1:04:39this, so let her take her $200. He's acting like she's making
- 1:04:43thousands of dollars. Dollars a week. $200 Why you so
- 1:04:46pressed? Oh my God, let her take that and
- 1:04:49treat herself once. That would make her happy
- 1:04:52because what she needs to do is leave.
- 1:04:54But she's not even talk about that.
- 1:04:56But she's like, I just want to buy stuffed animals.
- 1:04:58Thank you. We're not even going all the way
- 1:05:00in. Leave you with the kids.
- 1:05:01Figure out how you going to do this because do you even know
- 1:05:04how to take care of your kids? Nope, sorry I went there.
- 1:05:08But like she's doing all of this work.
- 1:05:09It needs to be respected. That's the point.
- 1:05:11Yes, it is. She's not asking.
- 1:05:13She's not asking. She's not even asking here for
- 1:05:15200 bucks. I'm not.
- 1:05:16Yes, she's cleaning houses for the money on my own and you're
- 1:05:20trying to tell me what to do with my money?
- 1:05:23No, no, no. So that was my last one.
- 1:05:29But before we go, I was able to find an update on am I
- 1:05:34overreacting? The janitor gave my child a
- 1:05:36gift. Oh yeah, seriously yes.
- 1:05:40And so if you are not familiar, first go to TikTok because it
- 1:05:44went crazy over there. But this woman went to pick up
- 1:05:48her elementary school aged child and when the kid came out, had a
- 1:05:52bear found out that she has this friendship with the janitor, the
- 1:05:55night janitor mind you and he gave her a gift.
- 1:05:58Found out that they hug front to front and that he took a picture
- 1:06:01of her. Yes, yes, no absolutely not.
- 1:06:07So it's super short but it is an update.
- 1:06:09She said she reached out to the school principal today to ask
- 1:06:12for the update as it's been almost two weeks since this
- 1:06:15happened. Right.
- 1:06:16She sent an e-mail to the principal.
- 1:06:19I've been informed that the custodian will not be returning
- 1:06:22to my child's school. This is all the information I'm
- 1:06:24allowed to have. I'm assuming that whether he had
- 1:06:27innocent intentions or more sinister, violating the employee
- 1:06:31handbook twice with my child is grounds for permanent removal.
- 1:06:34Also, my child is no longer left unattended in the hallway and
- 1:06:38has become a car rider to prevent a similar incident from
- 1:06:41happening with another adult. Thank you.
- 1:06:43I mean, that's bare minimum, yeah.
- 1:06:45Bare I'm actually very happy with that update yeah I don't
- 1:06:48care what intentions he had he had to know what that looked
- 1:06:50like right exactly like there was a lot of conversation about
- 1:06:54well maybe it you know I had a really.
- 1:06:56Great. You know, janitor when I was a
- 1:06:57kid and there was no unintentioned, but you have to
- 1:07:00get to the point where the decision is made whether he's
- 1:07:03going to be a bad guy. We're a good guy.
- 1:07:05Because the actions he was taking was grooming.
- 1:07:08Yes, it was textbook grooming. Thank you.
- 1:07:10And so I'm not going to sit back and let my child exactly be his
- 1:07:15victim, just in case. Exactly.
- 1:07:16Like I'm not going to take the chance.
- 1:07:18People are like, you didn't know.
- 1:07:19It's like you're right, I didn't know, but I'm it's the
- 1:07:21prevention that I'm talking about.
- 1:07:22I'm not going to let it get to the point where I'm like, oh,
- 1:07:24no, I missed something, right? I'm not letting it get to that
- 1:07:27point because I care about my child.
- 1:07:28Like I'm not going to do that not happen.
- 1:07:30So he could be a nice guy. We don't know that yes, but my
- 1:07:34child comes first. Absolutely.
- 1:07:36That's how it is so positive update to a very triggering
- 1:07:42story. Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness.
- 1:07:44I was so shocked when people in the comments are saying check
- 1:07:46the bear for cameras because. I didn't even think about that
- 1:07:49or a tracking device. What are you talking about?
- 1:07:51Oh my goodness. Oh my God.
- 1:07:53And a lot of people are sharing their traumatizing stories of
- 1:07:55being, you know, child sexual assault of, you know, survivors
- 1:07:58and like, how common. It's so common.
- 1:08:01So she was not overreacting to to snatch up her child and call
- 1:08:05about potentially getting because the janitor could
- 1:08:08potentially lose his job and people were coming for her
- 1:08:10because of that. I don't care.
- 1:08:12He lost his job. Yeah.
- 1:08:13What are we going to do about it?
- 1:08:15Right. Inappropriate.
- 1:08:18All right, y'all, thank you so much for tuning in.
- 1:08:20We'll see y'all next week. We love you.
- 1:08:22Peace.
