- 0:15Hello and welcome to Arguing Ever After.
- 0:18I am Luke and this is my lovely bride, Amber.
- 0:22Hello. Together we're the Lord and Lady
- 0:24who lock horns. The counting Countess of
- 0:26contention. The Duke and Duchess of
- 0:28Disagreement. And the king and queen of
- 0:30quarrels. In this podcast, we bicker about
- 0:32all things big and small, and the audience vote determines who
- 0:37is right. Many of our top picks are
- 0:40frequently submitted by our listeners, which we really like
- 0:43and enjoy. Please send them to us to
- 0:45arguingeverafter@gmail.com. Please do.
- 0:50Yes, we could use a few, so we would appreciate that.
- 0:55We are sitting today at officially episode #41. 41.
- 1:02There you go. We're kind of like getting close
- 1:04to a year's worth of episodes. I mean, don't count your
- 1:08chickens before they had. I think it's knocking on wood
- 1:10now. There we go.
- 1:12I think it's going to happen. I knocked on it.
- 1:14Yeah. But like we said last week, we
- 1:19actually something weird has been happening.
- 1:21I think it's with the algorithm, I don't know or all of you
- 1:24wonderful people sharing our podcast wide, but we have some
- 1:30additional new countries to share today.
- 1:32We do have some additional new countries, quite a few actually.
- 1:36And last time, Luke really enjoyed a little bit of trivia.
- 1:41Love some trivia? And I think it would be fun to
- 1:44try that again. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to
- 1:47do that great at these ones, but let's do it.
- 1:49OK, OK, O our first country that we're going to say hello to is
- 1:54home to Petra, which is one of the new 7 Wonders of the World.
- 1:59I definitely know this one. You do, yes.
- 2:01OK, but let's give some more. Oh yeah, the other.
- 2:04Information for the for the listeners and the the viewers.
- 2:07Sure, sure 'cause I would not know the answer.
- 2:10I do know the answer 'cause I did the research.
- 2:12But I don't know the answer. So this country also has the
- 2:17lowest dry point on earth. Lowest meaning like below sea
- 2:22level. It is 400 meters below sea level
- 2:25to be exact. That's a lot.
- 2:27It is 1200 feet, give or take. Sure.
- 2:31Dang. Yeah, yeah, I just did some
- 2:33math. Is that right?
- 2:34I don't know. That's called depth.
- 2:36Depth Math. Depth math.
- 2:38Yes, yes. Now the other thing that this
- 2:41country has. I mean, that's a lot.
- 2:43Hold on 1200 feet, That's like 1/5, a little over 1/5 of a
- 2:48mile. Yeah, well.
- 2:49Almost a quarter of a mile. Yeah, yeah, Dang, more than it
- 2:55is more than 80% desert with that as well.
- 2:58OK. So kind of thinking like how
- 3:00water goes downhill, it seems sort of, you know, I guess it's
- 3:04amazing to. Think.
- 3:05Apparently not. It's but that is a fact.
- 3:08But it's not one of the facts for the trivia, the final fact.
- 3:11Final fact. Is that it holds or it has over
- 3:17100,000 recorded archaeological and religious sites.
- 3:22That makes sense as well. All right.
- 3:26Hold on, bonus clue for the people out there who still don't
- 3:28know what's going on. Petra was featured in an Indiana
- 3:34Jones movie. OK, you might know where we are.
- 3:40Oh, I knew when you said Petra. Oh.
- 3:43I was already yes for me, no I don't.
- 3:45Know that in Indiana Jones cuz I.
- 3:47Did I don't think. So read that fact that Indiana
- 3:49Jones. Did I sometimes know things?
- 3:52It's rare, OK, And I'm very much I'm not a fan of research, but
- 3:56sometimes I know. You apparently knew this.
- 3:59This is one of. Those let's you get it wrong
- 4:01again. Well, the viewer, I think has
- 4:03had ample time, yes. And so I'll just give the
- 4:07answer. It's the country, the Kingdom,
- 4:10maybe of Jordan. You are correct.
- 4:13Is it a Kingdom? It is a Kingdom.
- 4:15It's a country, but a Kingdom. OK, I'll put my glasses back on.
- 4:18Now for my part where I say hello.
- 4:20Mm Hmm. I can't remember this one.
- 4:24Oh, I can't. It's the other one.
- 4:25I wasn't sure. OK, this one, there's many
- 4:28greetings, but the most common greeting is Marhaba.
- 4:31All right? And I can't say it that well
- 4:34because I don't live there. Another greeting that I can't
- 4:38say very well, but is widely known as Assalam Alaikum.
- 4:42Yes, that is widely known. I think it's assalamu alaikum or
- 4:46something like there's like an extra syllable that we don't do
- 4:49right. Yeah, well.
- 4:51It's not easy. We're trying, we're trying.
- 4:53I mean, there's some things. I think it's us, Salaam while I
- 4:56come. There are some things in our
- 4:59language that are difficult for others, so it's OK.
- 5:01I mean, we don't all, we all have our own weird little that's
- 5:04true. Speaking of language, the next
- 5:09country OK, is the birth place of the alphabet OK?
- 5:19I feel like I know this one too. Now, this being said, I've got a
- 5:22little bit of a CHEAT SHEET because I had to study how to
- 5:24say hello, yeah, in all these places, but I don't know the
- 5:27answer yet. The place of the alphabet.
- 5:31This country also has the Roman Temple of Jupiter.
- 5:39I thought I knew it, Now I'm not sure.
- 5:40Again, that sounds really cool though.
- 5:43The Roman temple of Jupiter. Yes, yes.
- 5:46Which is the Greek God. It's the Roman God.
- 5:50Mars is Aries, Jupiter is Zeus. I can't remember the correlation
- 6:00bad about my Greek history. That's OK.
- 6:02It is known as the Paris of the Middle East.
- 6:04OK, now I know what it is. You know what it is?
- 6:06Yeah, I was. For a minute I was like, maybe
- 6:08the birth place of never mind. OK, because because of Jupiter
- 6:13the. Temple of Jupiter.
- 6:14It was definitely the the Paris of the Middle East is what
- 6:17happened. Wait, did you do a little
- 6:19cheating when you were OK? OK.
- 6:20No, no, just the languages. It hosts one of the oldest
- 6:24continuously inhabited cities in the world.
- 6:27I thought I had the oldest it's. It said one of.
- 6:32Huh. OK, I still know the answer.
- 6:35Yay. OK, OK.
- 6:39All right. I don't think I have any
- 6:41additional clues because sadly I don't know more about this
- 6:43place. All right, So the listener again
- 6:48probably has had some time. It is Lebanon and you are right,
- 6:54there are at least two or three ways to say hello there.
- 7:00Which matched 2 of which matched Jordan Marhaba, Assalamu Alaikum
- 7:07and French Bonjour and English Hi.
- 7:13All right. See, we're adding stuff here,
- 7:16yeah. OK, so Are you ready for our
- 7:19third country? I am ready.
- 7:21These are going to get easier for me because I have the hellos
- 7:23and there's there's four or five countries.
- 7:25So we're going to get there. This place is often called the
- 7:29Rainbow Nation. I love that.
- 7:32Who doesn't like a nice rainbow, huh?
- 7:34Little rain, little clouds, little boom.
- 7:37OK, it this country the. Rainbow.
- 7:42The Rainbow Nation. Feel like I know this just
- 7:44because I'm feeling good about it.
- 7:46This country has the oldest mountains in the world at 3.5
- 7:52billion years old. Still feel good?
- 7:54OK, it could be totally wrong right now.
- 7:57And it has three capitals, the only country in the world to
- 8:01have three capitals. I'm now even more sure that I'm
- 8:05right, but I might be flunking this one out.
- 8:08We're gonna find out, OK? I'm upset if I'm wrong.
- 8:12I hope you are. Cuz that's really fun.
- 8:15South Africa. You're right, you're right.
- 8:17We haven't stumped. It audience I had it's like a
- 8:20multiple choice test and I had all five of the four of the five
- 8:24of the countries. Yeah, yeah.
- 8:26But that was not simple. I know I.
- 8:29Based on the clues, that was good.
- 8:30Nice job. I'm trying to give you some
- 8:32harder clues, but I also want, Oh yeah, you got to say hello.
- 8:36Well, go ahead. What were you going to?
- 8:38Say I also want the viewers to have a hard time too, but.
- 8:42Good. We want them.
- 8:43We want you to have a hard time. That's our that's our like
- 8:47hashtag of the episode. We want you to have a hard.
- 8:50Time I want to prepare them for like the Sunday Morning Times
- 8:55crossword puzzle. OK, this one is going to be one
- 8:58of the more interesting hello sessions we're going to have.
- 9:01We're going to hear it. OK.
- 9:03I'm going to start with what I believe to be the easiest one.
- 9:08OK, There's also more than three, but this actually lends
- 9:11itself to your three capitals potentially, probably so in the
- 9:15language of Zulu. OK.
- 9:18The traditional greeting is Saubona.
- 9:21OK. Which means I didn't get a,
- 9:23which means on all of these, I just this one that came with the
- 9:26information. It was something like it kind of
- 9:29reminded me of Namaste, but it was like I see you and then
- 9:33seeing you, I bring you into my being or something like it was a
- 9:37very like spiritual. Hello.
- 9:40That sounds spiritual. So I liked that one.
- 9:42So that was Zulu. Now this one, the language is
- 9:45harder to say, but the word is easier.
- 9:47OK. The language is Sosa.
- 9:50Oh. My gosh.
- 9:51Huh. Wow, you like?
- 9:52That that was. Hard.
- 9:54I know I couldn't do it. It was hard for me to do.
- 9:56Yeah. Sosa.
- 9:58Wow. How many times did you listen to
- 10:00Like A? Bunch I was like, did was that
- 10:02an audio blip in the video though?
- 10:04Wait, that's. The language.
- 10:05That's the. Language.
- 10:06OK, Sosa. Wow.
- 10:08I did it. Better the first two times the
- 10:10hello is molo OK? Well, that's much easier that
- 10:13hello. Is I'm good, Molo, you know that
- 10:16was good. This is for sure the hardest and
- 10:20this language has all of the hardest things to say for me
- 10:23because I listened to a video for like 3 to 5 minutes over and
- 10:27over again, proud of you. And I was like, I still have no
- 10:31idea what is happening. So the language of Afrikaans,
- 10:36OK. Yep, which?
- 10:38Is like a heavily accented mixture of a bunch of languages
- 10:42because I caught like bits and pieces of like English and I
- 10:46think like Dutcher German was in there.
- 10:49Sure. I didn't actually look any of
- 10:50this up, so if I'm wrong, I apologize if I'm right.
- 10:53Awesome. High five.
- 10:56OK, here we go. This is like hello in Afrikaans.
- 11:07It's Goi dog Goi. Dog.
- 11:12But it's like there's a bunch of weird little vocal inflections
- 11:15that I can't get. OK, OK, there were so many.
- 11:18OK, that's. Kind of like saying good day, I
- 11:21think, but you could see how it's like a mixture of
- 11:23something. And then they had like Chloe
- 11:26NAND, which was evening. Well, and given that we don't,
- 11:32it's abend. In German.
- 11:33And I was like, that's kind of a similar sound.
- 11:35And yeah. And given that we don't know who
- 11:39was listening from South Africa, hopefully.
- 11:42Charlize Theron. Oh, probably.
- 11:44Or you. Know what?
- 11:45Charlize Theron? I don't know how to say.
- 11:48I'm going to guess. That you're probably right, that
- 11:49that's probably it. Probably.
- 11:50Was her, yeah. Almost for.
- 11:52Sure, yeah. So we'll we'll go with that.
- 11:54OK, good. Now for our final country.
- 11:57OK. I definitely know the answer.
- 11:59Oh. How it's unfair?
- 12:03OK. This country boasts the most
- 12:05species of plants, freshwater fish and mammals in the world,
- 12:09No. Yes.
- 12:11Wait, this is our final. There's not five.
- 12:13OK, I had a bonus country. OK.
- 12:16We're going to not. Talk about that.
- 12:18We'll do that one next week. And we have one.
- 12:20More country people to announce. I'm sorry, yeah.
- 12:24Okay, it has more species of monkeys than anywhere in the
- 12:27world, had I? Thought that this was not on my
- 12:30list. I for sure would have had it at
- 12:31the first clue you. Got it.
- 12:33Okay. Regardless of the like most
- 12:37species have done. These boom.
- 12:38I got it. Most species I think most people
- 12:42might know that 1 I think. I should have done it backwards
- 12:45because my last hint maybe wouldn't have gotten you there.
- 12:48OK, but it is an interesting fact.
- 12:50It has the world's largest Japanese population outside of
- 12:55Japan. Oh, I would.
- 12:56Not have gotten it based on that clue 2.
- 12:58Million people. Wow.
- 13:00Yeah, why? I don't know why not.
- 13:04It's because it's. Beautiful.
- 13:05And it's got all these plants and fish and.
- 13:07Spot to go, I guess, yeah. Why wouldn't you?
- 13:10I mean so. Oh.
- 13:13Yeah, I'm sorry. So for you listeners who haven't
- 13:15figured that one out yet, it's Brazil or Brazil, which is
- 13:20Brazilian, which is Portuguese. For Brazil, they speak
- 13:24Portuguese, not Spanish. Yeah.
- 13:27Common. Misconception Everyone thinks
- 13:28everyone in South America speaks Spanish I.
- 13:31Wonder if not in. Brazil.
- 13:33I wonder though if it's like the second most common, like like
- 13:37here in the US we would take Spanish or French more than any
- 13:43other language. Maybe that's not true.
- 13:45Maybe that's just really what. Are you saying?
- 13:47Like if you're going to speak a second language, what would the
- 13:51most common? Because we don't really do that
- 13:53much in the US, right? But there are places like in
- 13:56Canada, which we welcomed last week, they have English and
- 14:01French, right? Like, those are both acceptable
- 14:03languages, you know, And a lot of people know both languages,
- 14:09are you? Saying in Brazil you wonder if
- 14:11like Japanese is the accepted second language or something.
- 14:14No, but with. That many people you'd have to.
- 14:16I wonder if you might teach it in schools because it's like
- 14:18you've got it might. That's a lot.
- 14:21But I guess I don't know when they started settling there.
- 14:23I think the. Population of Brazil is much
- 14:25larger than I know, but. 2 million people sounds like a lot
- 14:28to me. I don't know what.
- 14:29The population of Brazil, it's really big though, I feel.
- 14:32It is. It is.
- 14:33I didn't get put that clue down because I felt like that would
- 14:36give away. But you know how I like the
- 14:39animals and of course I'm like, oh, these are fun animal facts.
- 14:43Gotta put those in there. So.
- 14:45But wait, have you said hello? Oh.
- 14:47Maybe not. I gotta put my glasses back on.
- 14:49I think you did. All right.
- 14:50Well to all of y'all who don't speak, I didn't get any native
- 14:55languages out of the Amazon because the Internet didn't
- 14:58freely and and easily serve them up to me.
- 15:02What I did get was the casual greeting, which is oy.
- 15:07Oy, really? Yep, and the standard greeting,
- 15:10which is Hola but without the H because it's not Spanish, it's
- 15:14Portuguese. OK, there are.
- 15:16Subtle and distinct differences Let's.
- 15:18Hear the difference between the Portuguese and the Spanish word
- 15:22for hello. 1st 1st. I want to hear Spanish.
- 15:26Spanish. Hola, OK.
- 15:29Now Portuguese. Hola, OK.
- 15:33Got it. Okay, but how about if you're
- 15:35speaking Spanish from our other friends who were this is gonna.
- 15:40Be tough in. Ecuador, our other Hola.
- 15:44Okay. But now I wanna hear Portuguese
- 15:47Hola Hola. Okay.
- 15:49Okay. Three very distinct and
- 15:52different things to the trained ear.
- 15:54Very, very. You're.
- 15:55Catching that I. Did I did I heard the I heard
- 15:58the local accent or there's another word for accent that I
- 16:04can't and I. Can't say hello in this other
- 16:06country because you don't have the trivia.
- 16:09That's fair. We like trivia.
- 16:10No, no, no. We need trivia.
- 16:12No, you're right. You wanted.
- 16:13To do trivia, we learned a. Lot we learned about old
- 16:15mountains. I'm learning a lot.
- 16:16What? We learned about we learned
- 16:18about biodiversity in the Amazon rainforest.
- 16:21I know. I know we learned.
- 16:23That South Africa has three capitals.
- 16:25I wonder if there's like a Zulu capital, a salsa capital and
- 16:29then Afrikaans capital. You know what?
- 16:31I can tell you the names of the capitals.
- 16:34I wonder if I. Can read them in their native
- 16:35languages. Pretoria, Cape Town.
- 16:40Bloom Fontien. Nothing.
- 16:44Blue M Fontian. Let me see.
- 16:46I mean, you have to read my chicken scratch, so good luck
- 16:48with that. Well, I've known.
- 16:49You it's not very fun. For our readers for for that,
- 16:52for our. Readers our.
- 16:54Readers, I'm the reader. Oh, I.
- 16:55Guarantee you that's Afrikaans cuz all their words have so many
- 16:59vowels. It's probably like weird.
- 17:02You can't even it doesn't make sense.
- 17:04Like you look at the blow M Fontian and but then the real
- 17:07thing is probably like Liam Fontaine or something now.
- 17:11Do you know? I hope you didn't read it.
- 17:14Do you know what city is known as the Paris of the Middle East?
- 17:23Going back to yes. Lebanon Lebanon starts with an
- 17:28A. Really.
- 17:30OK. OK.
- 17:34I'm going to say you don't know based on that, OK.
- 17:37I think, OK, I think I know it, but maybe it starts with AB,
- 17:40Maybe I don't know it. What is it?
- 17:43Beirut. Oh, Yep, that's not what I would
- 17:47have. I should.
- 17:48Have asked you that question. You would have gotten that one
- 17:50wrong. I thought it was.
- 17:51That was a bonus question. Aquiala No.
- 17:55No, no, no it's not. Yeah, it's.
- 17:58Not so. So some fun new facts for people
- 18:02and for our listeners who are returning, you know, they're
- 18:04like, of course it's not new. That's where I'm from.
- 18:07And I know all of these facts. These aren't boring.
- 18:09And I can't believe that you guys didn't know these very,
- 18:13very basic facts about our country.
- 18:15But you know, we're not the brightest all the time.
- 18:17Let's take a brief pause because we did this at some point in a
- 18:19long many episodes ago for the people in Lebanon.
- 18:25Our humanity is with yours. If you're experiencing any sort
- 18:29of trouble, danger or violence, we mean that.
- 18:36I have a shirt on that says won't you be my neighbor?
- 18:39Yeah. It's in the spirit of brotherly
- 18:42and sisterly love. Yes.
- 18:44Human to human, we are the same. Yes.
- 18:47And I hope that everyone is safe.
- 18:50Yes, yes, that is the difficult thing.
- 18:55Sometimes I think that we have and I don't want to get too deep
- 18:57or too unfun cuz I feel like sometimes people are.
- 19:01Well, there's a little fun because they've tuned in, right?
- 19:03I mean, I feel like sometimes people do like escape to
- 19:06whatever it is and I and I feel like if you're listening to us,
- 19:10you're not looking for news and fun, but understand why.
- 19:14You're probably not not looking for the what the actual news is,
- 19:18right? That's for the best, but.
- 19:21I totally agree. I, I think it is, our world is a
- 19:24smaller and bigger place all at the same time.
- 19:28And I really think one of the things we've done when we've
- 19:32traveled is really enjoy getting to know the local cultures of
- 19:35wherever we go. So agreed.
- 19:38I mean, cuz there's so much goodness in the world, right?
- 19:42A lot more goodness than we would be led to believe some
- 19:47days, right? And sometimes it feels really
- 19:50heavy. But we like to be light and
- 19:53unserious a lot of the time, yes.
- 19:55Sometimes we get really serious, especially when we're talking
- 19:58about things like our blueberry doughnuts.
- 20:00Any good? Yeah.
- 20:01Or you want to talk about a Christmas movie and I am off the
- 20:05rails. Yeah.
- 20:06Yeah, I mean, we talk about some real world problems here.
- 20:13Oh, and you know, I don't think today's going to be that much
- 20:16different it. Will it will be really, really
- 20:18different, except for, you know, though I think we are still
- 20:21going to be talking kind of harkening back to our olden
- 20:26days, right? Like thinking about our olden
- 20:28days. The Olden.
- 20:30Days of the podcast like a whopping 9 months ago and in
- 20:35the. Infancy, right?
- 20:36Because now, nine months, we're crawling.
- 20:39Wow, we should. Start making comparisons to.
- 20:42Human life and what our. Podcast is now people.
- 20:46Yeah, it can go potty. Well, it could have gone potty,
- 20:50I meant. On the on the at nine months,
- 20:52No, no, I mean this is I was future casting Luke, this is in
- 20:56a couple years. OK, Yeah.
- 20:58Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So now we're crawling.
- 21:00Now we are crawling. Yes, we're starting to crawl.
- 21:04I mean, we, we're a little advanced, but that's what we're
- 21:06doing now. But it's our chance.
- 21:08To say we can turn over all by ourselves.
- 21:11Oh. Gosh, I know I like this idea.
- 21:13You know what? Hey, every once in a while you
- 21:16all are along with us, you know, sometimes.
- 21:18I have a good idea. Well, I.
- 21:19Mean and and the audience gets the benefit of our great new
- 21:22ideas. Yeah.
- 21:23So this might be something, I don't know when the next
- 21:26benchmark of our our podcast will be as far as human growth
- 21:32because I can't really remember. Every week, 42 weeks now, man.
- 21:39Well, that's probably, well, maybe space it out a little
- 21:42further. Maybe.
- 21:43Maybe right. So, but in the beginning, the
- 21:46thing that kicked off our podcast, in our final, final,
- 21:50final thing that we talked about or before we like, we're like,
- 21:53yes, this is it was what we're going to do when it was about
- 21:57Donuts, which is breakfast food. It is Donuts are my favorite
- 22:02breakfast food. Oh.
- 22:03Not me really, not by a long shot.
- 22:06I love a donut. They're so good.
- 22:08Here's. Honest to goodness, here's the
- 22:10problem. My current age and the reality
- 22:15of what a donut does to your body.
- 22:18It is so delicious in your mouth.
- 22:21Yeah, if it's well done, I mean, you.
- 22:23There's some terrible doughnuts. For instance, blueberry cake.
- 22:27Differ Doughnuts. Gross.
- 22:30No wrong, old fashioned. No, you're wrong.
- 22:32Terrible. Now if like a man, do I like an
- 22:36Apple Fritter actually. Wait one moment before you go
- 22:39forward to an apple fritter. The mass is determined that a
- 22:44old fashioned blueberry. Well, I.
- 22:46Lost that episode, there's no question.
- 22:48I know, but that makes it fact. Now I understand delicious
- 22:52doesn't make me. Like it more.
- 22:55That's they're factually better. Yeah.
- 22:58Oh, I do not like them. Oh my gosh, yeah.
- 23:01Based. On everyone.
- 23:03Episode then Luke finally agreed that no.
- 23:06There's others that hold up. I moved when I lost the bathroom
- 23:10episode in our house. I moved my stuff into the third
- 23:14bathroom. Yeah, y'all.
- 23:15Don't think that they're real. I'm just.
- 23:17Saying real. World.
- 23:20Consequences is what we're going to call them.
- 23:22Consequences, yeah. It's you're voting, but there
- 23:24really, truly is and. Apparently they only affect me.
- 23:28I don't think that's. True.
- 23:30I don't know. I'm sure I see.
- 23:32Have you come over to my side and you could you just say out
- 23:34of your mouth that I factually was correct, I based on the
- 23:37opinion of our viewership? Oh Ouch.
- 23:41I mean, I'd have to accept it as fact there.
- 23:43You go I'd. Have to because we've said that
- 23:45the their vote determines. Maybe we'll have a little review
- 23:49and you'll have to do some self reflection.
- 23:51I don't. Know that's hard.
- 23:53Oh yuck you you wow. People, just remember when
- 23:57you're voting today or on on this episode that what she
- 24:00thinks of your opinion if it disagrees with her is EW.
- 24:04Eww. No, it has nothing to do with
- 24:05her. It has to do with me saying that
- 24:10my that it is now an undisputed fact.
- 24:14Well. Here's what we're gonna define
- 24:16today. The whether or not it's a fact.
- 24:19We're getting back to breakfast food.
- 24:20We're back to Donuts. Listen.
- 24:22OK. Oh.
- 24:23Yeah, I love so so your body. Wait, what?
- 24:25It's about? Cuz like when I was 25 I could
- 24:28eat it as many. I literally could eat like 6 or
- 24:31more Donuts in a sitting no issues.
- 24:34Yeah if I eat like or two Donuts now cuz I'm about to be 45 and I
- 24:43will notice it the next day. It's like they're in massive
- 24:47amount of calories and sugar. Sure.
- 24:49And they're deep fried. Delicious, wonderful little
- 24:52doughy circles. But they're not good for you at
- 24:56all. No.
- 24:58Like at all. Well, no.
- 24:59OK, OK, so if I'm. Gonna don't don't be talking
- 25:02about it's bread now No, that's. Not what I was gonna say at all,
- 25:05OK? I was gonna say, sometimes food
- 25:08that makes you happy is good for you in an.
- 25:11Emotionally, sure, it could physically actually shorten your
- 25:15life. You might be emotionally happier
- 25:18when you die earlier, I mean. I certainly.
- 25:22I guarantee you if you ate Donuts for breakfast every day
- 25:26you would die sooner. I don't.
- 25:28Know for. Sure.
- 25:30Is out there if there's a. Doctor that's listening or
- 25:32watching, please send, send an e-mail.
- 25:35Well, they might be Maybe they want to get a little Dumber.
- 25:38I think they. Do I think they so?
- 25:40If that's happening, I just want you to send an e-mail to Arguing
- 25:43Ever After at Gmail and go, hey, Amber, I'm an actual doctor.
- 25:47Yeah, tell me something related to nutrition.
- 25:50And for sure, if you ate Donuts every day, you're gonna die
- 25:54sooner, no doubt. See.
- 25:55But I feel like if you get hit by a bus it doesn't matter.
- 26:00How many? There's a lot of other ways to
- 26:02die. We had a podcast episode about
- 26:04ways to die. I'm just saying that they're
- 26:07inherently unhealthy. That's all I'm saying.
- 26:09I'm not. Disagreeing, there's a.
- 26:10Lot of other things that are inherently unhealthy.
- 26:12A lot of, and I'm not a health nut and I'm not trying to be on
- 26:15a health podcast because I would fail, but right, But donut
- 26:21specific, they're just not great for you.
- 26:23Yep. OK.
- 26:25Okay. Well, that's the number one
- 26:27breakfast food, is it? Tummy, Tummy I.
- 26:29Thought you did some more research in NO.
- 26:32The. Number one, it's.
- 26:33Probably breakfast. Food.
- 26:35I wonder if it is in the? US.
- 26:37I feel like it's got to be like cereal or something.
- 26:40Breakfast cereal? Is it bacon?
- 26:42Oh. That's gonna shorten your life
- 26:44for sure. Faster than Donuts.
- 26:46I don't know it's got. Meat with the protein and the
- 26:48fat OK. That's just like saying Donuts
- 26:51have flour. Bacon is.
- 26:52Better for you than Donuts. I will die on this hill.
- 26:58Can we? Do you want to have that be the
- 27:00question we're not prepared to have an argument about.
- 27:02We've done this before. Just 100% freestyle because I'm
- 27:06ready to make the argument that meat and fat is better for you
- 27:10than sugar. And sugar my.
- 27:15Gosh, we don't have to. We don't.
- 27:17Have any you would lose, I think.
- 27:20I don't know that I would. Maybe you know what for sure.
- 27:25Guess what? That'll go in.
- 27:27That's gonna. Go into the next food category.
- 27:29Have you been transferring these into the cloud archive?
- 27:32Of course I have. Because our dog likes to eat our
- 27:36homework, she does she. Started eating our homework.
- 27:38So which is better for you? Yeah.
- 27:42And it has to be a comparative, like is it whatever, 6 slices of
- 27:46bacon, which feels like the right amount, or six Donuts,
- 27:50which feels like the wrong amount?
- 27:533 Donuts? I don't know, man.
- 27:55Anyways, okay, I'll go 6 slices of bacon to three slices of
- 27:59Donuts. Okay.
- 28:00We're in the vein of breakfast foods.
- 28:02Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 28:04So we're talking about breakfast foods.
- 28:05You know what? Amber, I have a question for
- 28:07you. Unless you're not ready, I can
- 28:10backtrack. We can we.
- 28:11Can do this, I can back do you want?
- 28:12Me to backtrack. I'm not backtracking.
- 28:13I'm fully committed. We're ready, OK.
- 28:16Now in this corner we have Luke weighing in at 185 lbs, you
- 28:21said. Weighing in, that might be
- 28:23claiming to weigh in, Sure. OK.
- 28:26I might be a couple. Of Donuts and pieces of bacon
- 28:28extra in here. And you are?
- 28:31He talked about the shirt he was sporting, but it's also a shirt
- 28:35that comes from the radio station.
- 28:38Wait, I'm ready. WFNU Frogtown Radio 94.1 FM
- 28:44Yeah. It's some of their tune.
- 28:46In now some of. Their merchandise, and I know
- 28:49we've said it before, we're saying it again, great local
- 28:52radio station Which we are a part of.
- 28:55Yeah, we. Are on the radio every Friday at
- 28:58midnight, yeah. Come party with us, yeah?
- 29:00Do that. Do that well.
- 29:02Kinda come party with our episodes that you may or may not
- 29:06have heard, yeah? Yeah, it's worthwhile to check
- 29:09that out. Yeah, but yeah, so you're
- 29:12wearing support a good. Cause yeah.
- 29:14It's a really good cause and their shirt honestly, well, I
- 29:17think it's super soft, but so you're wearing that shirt and
- 29:20you're coming in today with I'm so I'm so not ready because like
- 29:24I don't have our wins and losses tally, but I do I do I do, I do.
- 29:29So we are still held tight at 8. Ties 8.
- 29:34Ties. You have 13.
- 29:38I picked one up. Wins.
- 29:40Look at that. Yes, and. 18 losses, That's a
- 29:43lot. More losses than wins.
- 29:45I still have a real big hill to climb.
- 29:47You do. You do.
- 29:48Thanks for. Saying that so much you're.
- 29:50Welcome. Thank you.
- 29:51Yes, you have a long ways to go. I'll.
- 29:54Just be over here in the corner you're.
- 29:56Really losing? OK, go.
- 29:59So my question is, what about me, darling?
- 30:03Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah.
- 30:04And in this corner. The undisputed with whoa.
- 30:10With the undisputed whoa timeout, we just rewound, we're
- 30:17going to start over. And in this corner, claiming to
- 30:21weigh in at 135 lbs, we have. The stop it.
- 30:26The amazing Amber, Yes. Who's going to?
- 30:29Need her undisputedness to take me down in this one.
- 30:33I feel like I got a shot. I got a shot.
- 30:36You might OK. Here's the question.
- 30:38Are you ready? I'm.
- 30:39Ready. Better.
- 30:42For breakfast. Oh, do you want me to modify it?
- 30:46Throw the modifier in. I need help.
- 30:48Sometimes I forget questions. You remember?
- 30:50Nope. I'm listening which?
- 30:52Do you prefer? Sure.
- 30:54Was that how you'd want? Me to answer, I don't.
- 30:55Care. I don't care people.
- 30:57This. Is what I deal with.
- 30:58The words are so, so important. They.
- 31:01Are on both ends, just. Do like a lawyer.
- 31:03The spirit of the law, not the letter of the law.
- 31:06Listening. OK, which?
- 31:07Is a better OK? Which is better?
- 31:09Which is better? For you?
- 31:13OK, better. To me.
- 31:15Waffles, yes, or pancakes? Easy, oh.
- 31:21No, it's not. Oh.
- 31:22It is so easy. Okey dokey.
- 31:24OK. And you're not saying for
- 31:28breakfast or are you saying yeah for?
- 31:29Breakfast. Did I say that already?
- 31:30You did. But like, I feel like I mean
- 31:34you. Can have a pretty good time like
- 31:36a like a like. I'll tell you what, a late night
- 31:37dinner. Yeah, you gave me some
- 31:39breakfast. I don't think or you know what a
- 31:41lunchtime I don't. I don't want I.
- 31:43The reason is I don't want to hold mine you.
- 31:47Want it to be available for second breakfast because it's.
- 31:50That kind lunch and. Afternoon tea if you if you.
- 31:54Tell me it's for breakfast. Dinner.
- 31:56Supper. Yeah, I.
- 31:57Just. OK.
- 32:00I have seen some pretty good dessert creations from both of
- 32:03those items. Yeah.
- 32:04Yeah. OK.
- 32:05So for me, it's super, super obvious.
- 32:09OK. I would say waffles are better
- 32:14because you can do a lot with a waffle, okay.
- 32:21And the way if you just go basic, basic ingredients of
- 32:26waffle versus basic ingredients of pancakes, I'm not even gonna
- 32:30go into that. I don't care.
- 32:32That's your recipe and you wanna share that?
- 32:34I'm not. Sharing a recipe OK, sounds
- 32:36good, but. Within the two they're very
- 32:39similar, but how they are cooked makes a difference.
- 32:45The way a waffle is cooked makes so many additional little nooks
- 32:51and crannies and krispies. The texture is for me a better
- 33:01texture than a pancake, which is just mostly the same texture.
- 33:06I like texture in like, like I like a textural, textural
- 33:11difference, which a waffle provides, right?
- 33:16And it doesn't even matter. Like there's a few different
- 33:18kinds of waffles, right? Like we here in our house have a
- 33:21Belgian waffle maker, you know, and it's got the and.
- 33:24And we have the traditional and we have a.
- 33:27Traditional waffle maker Should we?
- 33:31Explain to our viewers that are now worldwide, if they don't
- 33:35know already what a waffle and a pancake is I.
- 33:38Feel like they probably know well if they.
- 33:40Found us. They also have the Internet.
- 33:42They. Do they do?
- 33:43You can. Google it or not.
- 33:44If you don't have Google, you could look it up on the
- 33:47Internet, find the ingredients and make yourself one of each.
- 33:51That'd be fun to find out what they like better.
- 33:53Except. For here's the thing.
- 33:54If. You can get the ingredients if
- 33:56it's here culturally appropriate.
- 33:58OK, I got a lot of lot of what if not.
- 34:00The ingredients or the cultural thing, that is gonna be the
- 34:04difficult thing. OK, if waffles are not made
- 34:09where they are, they might have a harder time finding the
- 34:13appliance needed of a waffle iron.
- 34:16You don't. Say.
- 34:18Now, but that is a magical item that creates, OK, the
- 34:25deliciousness that is a waffle. Like you have all these little
- 34:28squares that are crispy and can be crunchy the longer you cook
- 34:32them. And I prefer it that way.
- 34:34And then it holds like each one is a little cup or whatever your
- 34:39topping is, right? So I mean I'm a syrup girl so
- 34:43each one holds each little pocket like.
- 34:46Real syrup. OK, each one holds a nice little
- 34:50pocket of syrup. Or if you like butter on it, or
- 34:54if you like chocolate syrup on it or anything like that, which
- 34:57some people do. I prefer regular breakfast syrup
- 35:02on my waffles. Breakfast.
- 35:07Breakfast syrup. Yes, on my waffles.
- 35:11That's a shame. But it's got all those great
- 35:15little cups. But again, like my uncle.
- 35:17Ever listens to this? He's gonna turn it off.
- 35:19He's never. Gonna listen, never listen
- 35:21again. He's not he's not gonna listen,
- 35:23but you know what I mean. The kind of syrup that you were
- 35:26talking about, the non breakfast or Maple is my thought might.
- 35:30Even turn you off after this. Here's.
- 35:32Because here's the thing, that is not a syrup that's available
- 35:35throughout the world, right? Like we have gone places and you
- 35:39can't get Maple syrup. Sure.
- 35:40Where we've gone to in Mexico you can get.
- 35:42This in a debate about Maple syrup.
- 35:44I know, I know. My point is that, well, you were
- 35:47the one who were saying you cuz Maple.
- 35:49Syrup is better, and that's what breakfast syrup is modeled
- 35:51after. OK.
- 35:52Wow, I don't know that to be Oh, you.
- 35:54Don't. I don't actually.
- 35:55Well, when we debate that on the podcast, we'll find out which
- 35:59came first. We will.
- 36:00Find out. But my point is it can hold the
- 36:04nice little syrup and sometimes people like using different
- 36:07kinds of syrup, right? Like there's a pancake rose,
- 36:10which I'm not into. They have different flavor
- 36:13syrups and so you could there's different.
- 36:14Pancake houses? Careful, Oh.
- 36:17Oh my gosh, I just now thought of something I've never done
- 36:20before because in a Belgium waffle they have those big big
- 36:24fat spots. You could fill them up with
- 36:28different syrup types and have like a rainbow paint a waffle it
- 36:34would cross. Contaminate, but you're right,
- 36:36you could. Gosh, I never even thought of
- 36:38you know what? I might need to get some more
- 36:40syrups to try this. I'm ready.
- 36:42To eat more waffles. So this is fine with me.
- 36:44I like this idea also. If this is going to happen,
- 36:47let's have a debate about bacon and doughnuts too soon.
- 36:50OK. Can I?
- 36:52Can I continue on with? My waffles.
- 36:53Yeah, absolutely. Anyhow.
- 36:55So not only is there just like the there's the two main kinds,
- 37:00right? But like 1 can be fatter and
- 37:03one's skinnier. So like there's just so many
- 37:06different options in the basic mix itself.
- 37:10But then when when you think about the waffle iron and you
- 37:13can put additional items into the waffle and cook it and get
- 37:18like a good crisp or good crunch and one of my favorite like
- 37:23waffle V pancake mashups. OK.
- 37:28Is chicken and waffles. Oh sure, super.
- 37:32Super delicious, sure, and I've never had chicken and pancakes.
- 37:37That doesn't sound good to me, but chicken and waffles very,
- 37:41very good. So I think honestly, for me it
- 37:45comes down to texture. The the the ability to top it
- 37:52because I mean, I guess even some people eat them plain.
- 37:54I'm not into that. I'm not.
- 37:56I mean whatever it's do you, if you like, once in a while I'll.
- 37:59Like one with just butter, but not really a.
- 38:01Waffle with just butter. Yeah, OK.
- 38:04Either I mean neither. What?
- 38:05Sometimes I like the simplicity. Well, I.
- 38:07Prefer. Syrup you can I was just leading
- 38:10into your. Thing it was.
- 38:12Yeah, so there's. Just a lot more you can do I
- 38:14mean, but really people get really creative in Minnesota.
- 38:18There is a place that we've gone to.
- 38:20We're gonna keep going, OK that they've they've turned so made,
- 38:25made so many types of waffles and we're gonna.
- 38:27Throw a plug out cuz this is our our friend.
- 38:29Yeah, our friend over at Buzz Cafe, they have waffles, Buzz
- 38:34Coffee. And Cafe in Burnsville in
- 38:36Burnsville. Fantastic if you wanna have more
- 38:39varieties. Of waffle than you could shake a
- 38:42stick at and. Shoe.
- 38:43Ships so you can order the mixes yeah she.
- 38:47Does vegan stuff and it's. Man, delicious, yeah.
- 38:51Yeah, really great. But anyhow, like that, like
- 38:54that, the creativity with waffles that I've seen and just
- 38:58the differences that that special waffle iron makes.
- 39:03Top notch chef's kiss. Wow.
- 39:06Not a chef's kiss. That's a lot.
- 39:08That's a lot, Amber. It's a waffle.
- 39:12OK. Let's hear about yours here.
- 39:15We. Go baton has been passed.
- 39:16We're talking about pancakes, hot cakes, griddle cakes, pan
- 39:23bread, all these things that's. Not all the things.
- 39:26Those are all. The same?
- 39:27No, we're gonna pretend they're all the same for the sake of my
- 39:29mentality. It's not the same the.
- 39:32Simplest breakfast. I swear to goodness gracious at
- 39:36first, I got to counter something right away.
- 39:38You said chicken and waffles, which is delicious.
- 39:40It's so. Good.
- 39:41But you know what? Steak and eggs with pancakes
- 39:45also super fire. Try it once you like steak you
- 39:49can't eat. Eggs you like?
- 39:50Pancakes, fire it up. Let's see what you think.
- 39:53I'm ready for the challenge. A little hot sauce come out
- 39:56anyways. Now Ton.
- 39:58'S disgusting well. You're not right.
- 40:01OK, so the reason I like pancakes more than waffles is
- 40:08because they are probably. Like one of the, I think for
- 40:15most people, at least in America, I hope so.
- 40:17Like one of the first things you teach a kid how to cook is a
- 40:21pancake 'cause they're delicious and they're easy to eat.
- 40:24Kids like them 'cause you can put syrup on them or whipped
- 40:28cream, sprinkles. We, we did all kind of things.
- 40:31You could put fruit right in them when you're making them,
- 40:33bananas, blueberries, all kind of different.
- 40:37Hey, not your turn, I mean. You didn't interrupt me at all.
- 40:41I'm just. Saying don't just say you do
- 40:42that to a waffle, because then this whole episode's going to be
- 40:44a sham anyways. They're different.
- 40:48You said they were different, so we're going to talk about why.
- 40:50They're different. So I like that they are simpler
- 40:55and I kind of like that they're like a flat, like it's like a
- 40:58big fat cookie kind of size thing.
- 41:02So because there's like, I don't know, you could, I like to stack
- 41:09them up sometimes or get like two or three on top of each
- 41:12other. And then you get real fat bites,
- 41:14like a thick, thick bite of fat pancakes.
- 41:17And they sell them that way. They sell them at like
- 41:19restaurants as like a triple stack or a quad stack or A5
- 41:23stack. And I often like to order them
- 41:26that way. I like that like with at least
- 41:31specific to pancakes, you don't see this even in the variations,
- 41:35even if you're cooking out of a box.
- 41:37You don't see this in waffles cause the waffle iron
- 41:40compensates for like mixture changes pretty well.
- 41:45Where like with pancakes, if you have like 1/8 of a cup too much
- 41:53milk or too little milk, or like your eggs are a little fatter or
- 41:58a little smaller size of egg or like you got A-A little more oil
- 42:03or butter in there, it totally changes the pancake.
- 42:07So I kind of like that. Even if you like, and we'll just
- 42:11do this for our international people.
- 42:13The ingredients of a pancake, at least according to the most
- 42:16common Internet agreements, are flour, eggs, water or milk,
- 42:21depending on if you need to be lactose, whatever friendly
- 42:26baking powder, sugar, salt, which is optional, but I
- 42:28disagree. It's not optional.
- 42:31And then butter or oil, depending on how you like to and
- 42:35it's the same ingredients for waffles.
- 42:36Now, like I was saying, that's not a lot of not a lot of
- 42:39ingredients. They're they're easy to find,
- 42:42They're not too expensive. So it's a really inexpensive way
- 42:45to get a meal going. But what I like is like, even if
- 42:48you did the exact same thing, like you have the same, like we
- 42:51do this. We have the same measuring cups
- 42:52and teaspoons and tablespoons and whatever.
- 42:56Even if you eyeball it like just right the same way every time,
- 43:00the egg can make a difference. The brand of the butter can make
- 43:04a difference. So you kind of get this variety
- 43:06and sometimes you end up getting a like kind of a thick fat
- 43:10pancake. Sometimes you get it where it's
- 43:12a little runnier and so they kind of flatten out a little
- 43:14more. And those ones can be more fun
- 43:17because it's easier to get like the little mini cakes instead of
- 43:20the big fat cakes. Sometimes I like the little what
- 43:23are those called? Silver dollar pancakes or sand
- 43:26dollar pancakes? I don't.
- 43:27Know the ones? That are like the size of a palm
- 43:30like hand size. The little ones.
- 43:33I like the little ones sometimes and I like the big, big, big
- 43:36monster size ones that are like the whole size of a plate.
- 43:39I like those. And I like that you can have all
- 43:42that different type of variety and then like the amount of
- 43:46baking soda or baking powder, sorry, baking powder.
- 43:50And then there's one recipe where you add baking soda and
- 43:54makes it rise up. So it's like a like a fat, like
- 43:58a tall weird bread kind of pancake.
- 44:01Anyway, there's all these different ways to make a pancake
- 44:03and variations on the ingredients that they're sort of
- 44:08like a endless variety of pancake specific to like again,
- 44:13the size that you can cook and the height of the thing that you
- 44:17can cook and the consistency. So you can get a lot of
- 44:21different varieties. We've had some interesting ones
- 44:25on our vacations. I think it's the first time we
- 44:27explored pancakes when we were on vacation in Mexico.
- 44:32One time I wanted a banana pancake really bad, so we went
- 44:35to a place that we know and love.
- 44:37Shout out to Chili Beans in Extapa, Mexico, the best place.
- 44:43We should tag them and see if they hear this.
- 44:46Oh my goodness, we don't have Mexicans.
- 44:48Yes, and then just send us some free tickets to Mexico.
- 44:52To. Mexico, we'll come right now.
- 44:54Anyway, so this restaurant has all the foods that you can
- 44:57imagine, but they do breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- 45:01And so they were one of the places that served pancakes down
- 45:04there. We were walking up around and
- 45:05looking for places and they had what's the one you like?
- 45:09It's like your favorite pancake. Pina.
- 45:11Colada, that's. I was gonna say pineapple and
- 45:13something, but so. Yeah.
- 45:15So they had a pineapple coconut pancake, which you loved.
- 45:20And I had never seen that anywhere.
- 45:22And that's just another example of, like, how versatile a
- 45:25pancake is. And there's some things that do
- 45:28translate well into a waffle iron.
- 45:31And, you know, I don't know. So it's something you wanted to
- 45:34try it on a waffle. You absolutely could, yeah.
- 45:37That would be delicious in my. Opinion the pancake is more
- 45:41versatile because you don't need a waffle iron, you just need a
- 45:46hot surface, which I mean you most, most places you got a hot
- 45:51surface. Heck, in Arizona right now you
- 45:54could cook a pancake on the sidewalk if you wanted to.
- 45:57It's like 120° or something. That's ridiculous.
- 46:00I know so so anyway, for me that's the the argument for the
- 46:06pancake is it's like one of the simpler things.
- 46:09It's everyone learns it at a young age.
- 46:11I think in at least in I didn't an hour really no.
- 46:15No, we made it from a box. We had.
- 46:18Pancakes once a year. I'm not.
- 46:20Hating that. I'm not hating on a box.
- 46:22They used to learn it. Pour it out-of-the-box.
- 46:24You still got to add an egg and some milk and some oil and I
- 46:27think. The first thing I learned how to
- 46:29well, there's. Real simple ones, which is
- 46:31powder and water. Is that the kind you had?
- 46:34Sure. But I think the first thing I
- 46:35learned how to cook was probably boiled potatoes.
- 46:38Maybe the first thing. I learned how to cook was
- 46:40probably eggs so that's even it's like 1 egg.
- 46:42One ingredient, anyway. I guess I meant more of like
- 46:46with a recipe, because I like sure, like cook meat.
- 46:50It's like it's very easy to cook the meat.
- 46:53It's sort of like, I guess it's like the first introduction to I
- 46:56would what I would think of is like cooking where like you're
- 47:00not just going from raw to cooked, your going for some.
- 47:05People putting together. It's nostalgic, at least for me
- 47:08and probably many others. And maybe waffles are the same
- 47:11way. I don't know.
- 47:11It could be geographic, maybe in different parts of the country.
- 47:15It's do you that just made me want Waffle House just now.
- 47:18I know. See Love Waffle.
- 47:20House and legit there's a pancake house.
- 47:22There's a few of them in town that'll knock your socks off.
- 47:25I haven't been. But do you remember in the movie
- 47:29Hocus? Nope.
- 47:30Not Hocus Pocus practical magic. Nope.
- 47:34Sure don't. But Sandra Bullock?
- 47:36Yes. Sandra Bullock, there we go, had
- 47:38wished for Shannon. Named Tatum.
- 47:39That's a boy. Stalker Channing.
- 47:42Channing there. It is Stalker Channing.
- 47:44She's a lady, anyhow. Sandra Bullock's character
- 47:48wished for the impossible man, and one of the things that she
- 47:53wanted was a man who could flip a cactus pancake or something
- 47:57like that in the air. Cactus.
- 47:59Like the shape of a cactus. Yeah, I think.
- 48:01Maybe that was it, and maybe it was or.
- 48:03Did it have like cactus meat in it maybe?
- 48:06No, not cactus meat, but you could.
- 48:08Do that about that you could make these savory is also kind
- 48:11of fun if you mess with mess around with some pancakes like
- 48:14but he. He had to have like 1 green eye
- 48:16and 1 blue. It was just this whole thing.
- 48:18But I remember that pancake flipping in the air.
- 48:20The shape. Of a cactus, I think.
- 48:22That's what it was, but also it might not be.
- 48:23Now I want. To make a cactus shaped
- 48:25pancakes, Yeah, why aren't? You making shaped pancakes like
- 48:28waffles. Perfect shapes.
- 48:30They just have. To be a little thicker and you
- 48:31could do it, yeah. I don't know.
- 48:33I've made shaped. Pancakes you have.
- 48:35You made a Yoda, Mickey Mouse. I've made Yoda.
- 48:39You made. Yoda, but those are the 2 iron.
- 48:43You had a. Special Yoda iron that's.
- 48:44True, so there. Is a little difference there?
- 48:46I don't know. I think yeah, it might be the
- 48:51simplest, but it doesn't make it that's.
- 48:53One of the reasons I like it, I don't.
- 48:55Yeah, more. Because you can almost do it
- 48:57like whenever, wherever, like no matter you don't got to ask,
- 49:01hey, do you got a waffle iron? Cuz you could do it on a stove
- 49:04top. You could do it in a griddle.
- 49:06You, I mean, you could do it here, you could do it if you had
- 49:09like a cookie sheet, you could put that on top of the, the oven
- 49:13and do it that way. Well.
- 49:15Sure, it might be, but that doesn't make it better.
- 49:17It just makes it simpler or easy but.
- 49:19Sometimes people like simpler, easier things, dear apparently.
- 49:23I do. Wow.
- 49:26The I mean the insults, people. Did you hear what she said about
- 49:32me? Simpler, I mean easy.
- 49:36Do you know how many? Languages.
- 49:38I just said read off with the so many languages I made a noise
- 49:43that was also part of a word today.
- 49:45Do you remember? How to say that now?
- 49:48Because I don't. Hold on, I need more water.
- 49:52Well, I mean, I think, I think we both have good, I think we
- 49:58both have good arguments. Mine's better because no, it's
- 50:00not. Pancakes, pancakes, pancakes.
- 50:03Waffles. Are more special.
- 50:06Oh, sidebar. Panacookan.
- 50:08Yeah, most people, those are different.
- 50:10That's a Dutch pancake. I win.
- 50:14I just came up right clincher right at the end buzzer beater
- 50:18as they call it, Yeah, but. I'm just going to say it, I
- 50:21mean. I'm just letting you know if if
- 50:23you're hey the Dutch, they make it, they make it and it's called
- 50:28a pancake. It's also.
- 50:29They're not. Cooking.
- 50:30There's a pancake. That's the word.
- 50:33It's. Not a pancake like you were
- 50:35talking about. You're talking about a fat
- 50:37little flapjack. Those are you're.
- 50:39Right. You're right, you're right.
- 50:40Rubbery. A shake.
- 50:42Well, you. Insulted me, so I had to say
- 50:44something. And also, when's the next time
- 50:46you're going to make panacookins?
- 50:48Oh. Gosh, I don't they're.
- 50:49So good I don't. Know been a.
- 50:51Long time, it's been a minute. They're not our daughter.
- 50:53Probably wants them really bad, so and that's something that
- 50:57loops out, he'll say. A food and know that it'll
- 51:00probably be coming in the next couple weeks I'm not making that
- 51:04promise because. Nope.
- 51:08I honestly prefer not to eat breakfast first thing in the
- 51:12morning. I like to eat breakfast at about
- 51:141:00 and Luke wants to eat breakfast at about 9.
- 51:18Depends on the. Day.
- 51:19But yeah, I do enjoy breakfast. And I think that's maybe part of
- 51:23it too, is just like what I can maybe what feels better.
- 51:26Well, that makes. Sense why you'd like a doughnut
- 51:28more? Because it's good.
- 51:29Like a like snackish snack. OK.
- 51:32Yeah, Yeah. I think it's.
- 51:34Less of a commitment to like pancakes or waffles or bacon or
- 51:37eggs or whatever. So.
- 51:38Delicious anyway, so vote. For pancakes.
- 51:41Also, while you're voting, share this with your friends.

- 52:08Two ratings, but I'll. Take it if you're listening.
- 52:10I'll take the wind. Don't say we're worse, but.
