Langeliers Out, A's Struggle Continues | Oakland Athletics News
Oakland A’s All-Star catcher Shea Langeliers is sidelined with a torn meniscus, expected out at least ten days as the team calls up Brian Serven from Triple-A to fill the void. Langeliers, a key offensive force with 23 homers and 51 RBIs this season, was the first A’s catcher to earn an All-Star nod since 1989. The injury comes at a brutal time for a struggling team already mired in playoff droughts and trade speculation — another setback that could ripple through their season.
