- 0:01We frequently hear people complaining about how they are
- 0:04locked into and trapped in the lives they are leading.
- 0:09They feel like there's nothing they can do and nothing can
- 0:12change it. This was exemplified in a motion
- 0:16picture called Groundhog Day, which told the story of an
- 0:20individual who continually repeated the events of life on
- 0:23the same day. Each day he woke up and it was
- 0:28once again the prior day that he had just finished before he fell
- 0:31asleep. The story line works through his
- 0:35different ways of trying to deal with the apparent
- 0:37meaninglessness of his life and the endless repetition of it.
- 0:42While he aspired to have a romantic relationship with
- 0:45someone who is employed by the same news station where he
- 0:48worked as a meteorologist, he tries a number of strategies
- 0:53including crime, suicide, and various attempts to gain
- 0:58information about his target. As he experiences these
- 1:02innumerable lives, all based on the surface being and the ego
- 1:07personality, eventually he understands and embraces the
- 1:13process and learns how to change within himself and at that
- 1:17moment everything changes and he is released from the repetitive
- 1:23pattern and gains the true love he had been aspiring towards.
- 1:29If we put aside the top level storyline, we can see the deeper
- 1:34meaning that we all can relate to.
- 1:37We seem to repeat everything time and again.
- 1:40We have limited knowledge, try to steer our lives by that
- 1:44limited knowledge and experience success and failure in our
- 1:48endeavours along the way. Once we find the key and
- 1:53understand the need to change our standpoint to identify with
- 1:57the Divine Presence, everything changes and our lives take on
- 2:02new meaning and direction. The change in standpoint
- 2:06represents a shift from the ego personality and its focus on the
- 2:11external circumstances to the psychic being and its focus on
- 2:17its oneness with the Divine, the Mother observes.
- 2:22Quote, Thou art perfect knowledge, absolute
- 2:26consciousness. He who unites with Thee is
- 2:30omniscient while the union lasts.
- 2:34But even before attaining this stage, He who has given Himself
- 2:38to Thee in all the sincerity of His being, with all His
- 2:42conscious will, He who has resolved to make every effort to
- 2:47help in the manifestation and triumph of Thy Divine Law of
- 2:51Love in Himself and the whole field of His influence, sees all
- 2:57things in His life change, and all circumstances begin to
- 3:01express Thy Law and assist His consecration.
- 3:06For Him it is the best, the very best that always happens.
- 3:12And if in his intelligence there is still some obscurity, some
- 3:17ignorant desire, which at times prevents him from becoming aware
- 3:21of it, immediately, he recognizes sooner or later that
- 3:27a beneficent power seemed to protect him even from himself
- 3:32and secure for him conditions most favorable to his blossoming
- 3:36and transfiguration, his integral conversion and
- 3:41utilization. As soon as one becomes conscious
- 3:44and convinced of this, one can no longer worry about future
- 3:49circumstances or the turn events take.
- 3:53It is with perfect serenity that one does at every moment what
- 3:58one thinks best, convinced that the best 2 is sure to come from
- 4:02it, even if it is not the results which we, with our
- 4:06limited reasoning, expected from it.
- 4:11That is why, Lord, our heart is light, our thought in repose.
- 4:16That is why we turn to Thee in all confidence and say
- 4:19peacefully, may Thy will be done.
- 4:23In it true harmony is realized. End Quote.
