- 0:02Speaker 1: I'm already laughing because this is a crazy story, and
- 0:05Speaker 1: we need to know if you happen to be the
- 0:09Speaker 1: person in this story, what would you do?
- 0:14Speaker 2: What the rocks?
- 0:17Speaker 3: I got permission from my sister to tell this story
- 0:21Speaker 3: because when she told me, I was dying of laughter
- 0:24Speaker 3: and I didn't really have any advice for her.
- 0:27Speaker 4: So here goes gott you come back from this.
- 0:30Speaker 3: She was set to go out on a date with
- 0:32Speaker 3: this guy. It was a Saturday night. She's got a
- 0:37Speaker 3: high school.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Aged son, he's I think.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Like fifteen, and so heading to this date. She was
- 0:44Speaker 3: dropping off her kid at a sleepover. All right, drives
- 0:49Speaker 3: him right as he's getting out. In pure boy fashion,
- 0:53Speaker 3: he drops a bomb in the car, a real stinker,
- 0:58Speaker 3: and just kind of laughs and is like bye, mom.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Very very fifteen year old boy.
- 1:04Speaker 3: She then drives to the bar to meet up with
- 1:07Speaker 3: this guy, and he ubers to the bar.
- 1:10Speaker 2: The guy she's on a date with.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Hey, smart move if you're gonna have a beverage exactly.
- 1:14Speaker 3: They're they're having a couple of drinks, they're having a
- 1:17Speaker 3: good time. They really hit it off, and it gets
- 1:19Speaker 3: to the point where it's like, oh, they kind of
- 1:21Speaker 3: want to make out a little bit, but they weren't
- 1:24Speaker 3: gonna make out right there in the bar, right, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 3: that'd be little inappropriate we do that. So because he ubered,
- 1:32Speaker 3: she said, well, why don't we just go to my
- 1:34Speaker 3: car and we can make out, no biggie, Okay, let's
- 1:37Speaker 3: let's not act like we've never done this before.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Very cute like high school college.
- 1:43Speaker 3: So they go to her car. She opens the door,
- 1:47Speaker 3: and the smell of that fart bomb that.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Her son dropped.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Just bursts out of the car, and she is mortified.
- 2:03Speaker 3: But she doesn't say anything, and the guy doesn't say anything.
- 2:08Speaker 2: He you know, he plays along like he's a good
- 2:11Speaker 2: good sport. And then they do.
- 2:13Speaker 3: They make out in the car for a little bit whatever,
- 2:15Speaker 3: and they go back to the bar. They finish off
- 2:18Speaker 3: the date, and they make plans to see each other
- 2:21Speaker 3: the next They had made plans to see each other
- 2:23Speaker 3: the next day already.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Then the next day comes and she just never hears
- 2:30Speaker 3: from me, ghosts ghosted, And she was very concerned.
- 2:38Speaker 2: When she called me, she said, do you think it
- 2:39Speaker 2: was the fark core?
- 2:44Speaker 3: But then she didn't know if she should text him
- 2:48Speaker 3: and say, hey, that wasn't me. It was my son
- 2:52Speaker 3: who did that right before he left. It didn't air out,
- 2:54Speaker 3: and I'm like, she wanted to explain herself, but is
- 2:58Speaker 3: that too much? Do you just it alone and like,
- 3:01Speaker 3: I guess your potential relationship felt victim to a fart?
- 3:05Speaker 4: Or do you.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Try That's one of those that is one of those scenarios.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I think you just chalk up as a loss. It's
- 3:12Speaker 1: kind of like, really, when you're a kid, you know,
- 3:13Speaker 1: and you went to school and it was like a
- 3:15Speaker 1: bad lunch today. Uh huh, you're just like, you know,
- 3:17Speaker 1: I just chalk it up as a loss. Tomorrow will
- 3:18Speaker 1: be something. I like, I think that's what you kind
- 3:20Speaker 1: of got to do. If you are your sister in this,
- 3:22Speaker 1: you just go you know what. It was just it
- 3:24Speaker 1: was one of those things. There's no change in it. Yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and I'm just gonna keep it pushing.
- 3:30Speaker 3: That makes me feel bad for her because that's not fair.
- 3:34Speaker 2: She didn't do that. It was a teenage boyfart. Those
- 3:38Speaker 2: are lethal.
- 3:40Speaker 4: She should not be held responsible. That's different.
- 3:43Speaker 1: You are right seven oh one two eight zero one
- 3:46Speaker 1: nine eight seven. We want to try to help out
- 3:48Speaker 1: Angie's sister today and we want to know what you
- 3:51Speaker 1: would do if you were her. You know, you have
- 3:53Speaker 1: your son, you're dropping them off, you're going on a date.
- 3:56Speaker 1: That's something happened to just leave a bomb in the
- 3:58Speaker 1: car and then you gotta get back in this card
- 4:01Speaker 1: that will be taken out.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Or if you're a guy, would this deter you, like
- 4:06Speaker 3: should she reach out? If you're the guy in this scenario,
- 4:09Speaker 3: would you want the clarification that your date isn't a stinker,
- 4:14Speaker 3: that it was someone else's five I.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Would wonder if he even noticed it, because his buddies
- 4:18Speaker 1: have done way worse.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Oh man, it way worse.
- 4:21Speaker 2: But what you're saying is he just didn't like my sister.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I know that might be shocking, right.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Celebrating life's little victories every morning we practice gratitude on
- 4:37Speaker 5: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 4:38Speaker 2: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 4:40Speaker 2: basket job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 4:44Speaker 5: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 4:47Speaker 5: two eight oho one ninety eight.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Seven, kids, I also needed to win that day and
- 4:51Speaker 4: a big shout out to Crystal this morning. She'd let
- 4:54Speaker 4: us know.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I don't know if this is a little victory, but
- 4:57Speaker 1: I have my baby niece all week. I'm I'm super excited.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I just went and picked her up. I think that's wonderful.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, and we got to see her.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Crystal was very kind and made dream catchers one for
- 5:09Speaker 3: baby gee who's on the way, that's right, and one
- 5:11Speaker 3: for myself. And I'm just kind of a baby anyway,
- 5:15Speaker 3: she came.
- 5:15Speaker 2: And dropped them off. She had her baby niece with her.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Juice so cute.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yes, just the sweetest, smiliest baby ever in a building
- 5:24Speaker 1: with people she didn't know.
- 5:25Speaker 4: You know, kids can kind of I don't know, just
- 5:27Speaker 4: kind of get shy and yeah.
- 5:28Speaker 3: No, she was a little ham how adorable And she
- 5:31Speaker 3: gets to have her all week.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Oh I love that. That's a great victory, that is right.
- 5:35Speaker 4: What about you, Angie? Do you have a little victory
- 5:39Speaker 4: this morning?
- 5:39Speaker 2: I sure do.
- 5:40Speaker 3: In just three days, I will have officially lived in
- 5:44Speaker 3: Fargo for one year.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Wow. Three days. Yes, But that's that's.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Not the little victory. Although it is a victory.
- 5:53Speaker 4: I like it.
- 5:55Speaker 3: In this entire time, I have not had a dresser
- 5:58Speaker 3: for my clothes in my bedroom and I have this
- 6:03Speaker 3: like shelf with these cloth baskets. It's not it's not good.
- 6:08Speaker 3: It's always a mess. I don't have enough room in
- 6:09Speaker 3: my closet. I have a lot of clothes. You wouldn't
- 6:11Speaker 3: know it based on what I look like at work.
- 6:14Speaker 4: But when I'm not at.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Work, I put myself together sometimes and there's just not
- 6:19Speaker 3: enough room for my things. And I could really benefit
- 6:22Speaker 3: from having a dresser. And I don't know why, I've
- 6:25Speaker 3: just kept putting it off for almost a year, but
- 6:27Speaker 3: I finally ordered a dresser.
- 6:30Speaker 2: It will be here on Friday to.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Mark the one year of me living here, and finally
- 6:37Speaker 3: my room will be organized and my kids can stop
- 6:39Speaker 3: saying why do we have to clean our room if
- 6:41Speaker 3: your room has clothes everywhere?
- 6:44Speaker 4: Defense Yeah, I know.
- 6:47Speaker 2: So then I don't really make them clean their rooms.
- 6:49Speaker 3: As much as they should because I'm supposed to lead
- 6:52Speaker 3: by example.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Hat a smart little victory for me.
- 6:56Speaker 6: This is not this is a defeat for them. But
- 6:58Speaker 6: whatever that's under vultet you gave. I'm glad to know
- 7:02Speaker 6: that you will have moved here for one year. That's
- 7:05Speaker 6: pretty crazy. Time is flown by.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I'm officially I local as far as I'm concerned.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I would agree, Yeah, I'd say one year you
- 7:11Speaker 1: put in your time.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm a far going man.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right. U.
- 7:15Speaker 1: My little victory, well, I guess technically I would have two.
- 7:19Speaker 7: All right.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So my little victory is I didn't sleep through all
- 7:22Speaker 1: of Monday.
- 7:24Speaker 4: When I woke up.
- 7:25Speaker 1: When I woke up this morning and shut my alarm off,
- 7:27Speaker 1: I looked at my phone and I saw it was Tuesday,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and I was sitting there going what happened to Monday?
- 7:35Speaker 4: Did I miss work?
- 7:36Speaker 3: Did I.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Yesterday?
- 7:38Speaker 1: When I right when I woke up, for like a minute,
- 7:41Speaker 1: I was like, wait, did I miss an entire day
- 7:44Speaker 1: of work? Where was I? What did I do? And
- 7:47Speaker 1: then obviously it's like, oh no, I was in there.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yeah all right, So I didn't. All right, so I
- 7:51Speaker 1: made it, Thank god it. I guess it was just
- 7:53Speaker 1: one of those nights of sleeper und Yeah. And then
- 7:56Speaker 1: my actual little victory is you can see on the
- 8:01Speaker 1: big ninety eight point seven Facebook page, Gabe goes curling.
- 8:05Speaker 1: All right, this is oh yes, peak athleticism, and that well,
- 8:08Speaker 1: that is not that is not the little victory. The
- 8:11Speaker 1: little victory is normally, when we have some videos and
- 8:14Speaker 1: we put together something for you or whatever, Angie does
- 8:17Speaker 1: that because she is so good at it and so
- 8:20Speaker 1: much faster than I got. Kind she's just way better
- 8:24Speaker 1: about editing these videos. But my little victory is I
- 8:27Speaker 1: put together that two minutes or two and a half minute,
- 8:29Speaker 1: whatever it is video by myself. I didn't even add
- 8:33Speaker 1: to ask Angie what to do or where, how to
- 8:35Speaker 1: do it or whatever. So I was proud that I
- 8:39Speaker 1: for someone who's pretty technologically savvy, I would say, I'm
- 8:42Speaker 1: pretty good with the old computers and the phones.
- 8:44Speaker 4: No clue how to edit videos.
- 8:46Speaker 2: You did a good job.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I did it all by myself yesterday, and I was
- 8:50Speaker 1: pretty proud.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Of you know what.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Check it out on the Big ninety eight point seven
- 8:53Speaker 3: Facebook page and Pat Gabe on the back for editing it.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Eat.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Angie explain something to me yesterday that I had I
- 9:04Speaker 1: didn't know how to react to. I was like, this
- 9:07Speaker 1: is not normal behavior.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Well, you can't relate, is the issue?
- 9:11Speaker 3: So it made me think is this normal or is
- 9:16Speaker 3: this big back behavior?
- 9:18Speaker 7: Now?
- 9:19Speaker 1: Can you help out for those of us who might
- 9:21Speaker 1: not know what would like big back behavior be?
- 9:25Speaker 4: Or you might hear kids say, oh that's that's some
- 9:27Speaker 4: big back.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Stuff back, Yeah, big back activities. It's for example, like
- 9:33Speaker 3: eating an entire family sized box of cheese.
- 9:36Speaker 2: It's in one city.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a big back activity, big back activity.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Yeah, that's big back behavior.
- 9:41Speaker 3: And so this one, I don't want to be alone
- 9:45Speaker 3: on this. Well, so seven oh one two, eight oh one,
- 9:49Speaker 3: nine eight seven, if you could give me some backup.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Here's I heard this.
- 9:54Speaker 4: It was shocked.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Here's the big back behavior. But maybe it's just normal.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Yeah I'm weird, Maybe you're weird. Okay, So if you know,
- 10:03Speaker 3: you buy a bag of tortilla chips, right, yep, and
- 10:06Speaker 3: you're eating chips and salsa.
- 10:09Speaker 2: It's a good time.
- 10:10Speaker 3: But as you near the end of that bag of
- 10:13Speaker 3: tortilla chips, you know, gravity did its thing. Those chips
- 10:18Speaker 3: are now more broken into smaller pieces that are more
- 10:22Speaker 3: difficult to dip into salsa, especially if it's like a
- 10:26Speaker 3: chunky or salsa. Right, So you're struggling to scoop salsa
- 10:33Speaker 3: onto this chip because the chip is not big enough.
- 10:36Speaker 3: And so the remedy for this is to dump that bag,
- 10:44Speaker 3: to dump the rest of it into a bowl and
- 10:46Speaker 3: then put salsa in it, almost like it's.
- 10:50Speaker 4: A bowl of savory cereal.
- 10:52Speaker 2: And then you just eat the chips and salsa like
- 10:55Speaker 2: it's a bowl of.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Cereal with a spoon, with a spoon, so that.
- 10:59Speaker 2: You don't hate the chips.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, in this academy, we can't be wasting chips.
- 11:07Speaker 8: And she is trying to make sure she gets every
- 11:10Speaker 8: last crumba tostito chip and it's the size of her
- 11:14Speaker 8: pinky nail, just throwing them away.
- 11:18Speaker 2: No, you have to eat them.
- 11:21Speaker 3: I just bel I'm a completionist Gabe, like I.
- 11:25Speaker 2: If it's in front of me, I have to finish it.
- 11:27Speaker 4: That is big backery.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Actually seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I need to am I weird? Do other people do
- 11:35Speaker 1: this at the end of their Tostito's bag of chips?
- 11:39Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 11:39Speaker 4: Do they turn it into a salsa series?
- 11:42Speaker 3: And if you don't, did, I just give you the
- 11:44Speaker 3: best idea you've ever heard.
- 11:46Speaker 1: We want to hear what you think about this this
- 11:48Speaker 1: morning at seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight.
- 11:51Speaker 4: I can't stop.
- 11:51Speaker 3: I'm never beating the big Back allegations.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I guess the theme of the six o'clock hour here
- 12:00Speaker 1: is just food. As Angie described something to me that
- 12:04Speaker 1: I was maybe shocked, is a little bit strong disappointed.
- 12:12Speaker 2: That's the word.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Maybe I'd never heard of anyone doing this activity with
- 12:17Speaker 1: the bottom of the chips.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Yeah, when you get.
- 12:20Speaker 3: To the bottom of the tortilla chips and they're all
- 12:22Speaker 3: just kind of broken and whatever, instead of tossing those
- 12:25Speaker 3: out or struggling to scoop salsa with them, just put
- 12:28Speaker 3: it in a bowl and then put some sauce in
- 12:31Speaker 3: the bowl and you eat it like a savory cereal.
- 12:33Speaker 3: And apparently that's a big backery to Gabe. He thinks
- 12:37Speaker 3: that's big back behavior.
- 12:39Speaker 2: But I stand by it.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Well, technically I didn't say that.
- 12:43Speaker 3: There was a look in your eyes, Gabe, I could
- 12:45Speaker 3: tell you.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Knew I was thinking, that's right.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Well, if you had to speaking of food, right, we've
- 12:52Speaker 1: got a lot going on. I don't know if we're
- 12:53Speaker 1: just hungry today or for sure, but I saw this
- 12:57Speaker 1: list of a lot of people's choice is if for
- 13:00Speaker 1: whatever reason, you know, they had to just have like
- 13:03Speaker 1: a last meal, right, Okay, what would yours be? Seven
- 13:07Speaker 1: oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven? Is
- 13:10Speaker 1: yours gonna be salta cereal with toastitos?
- 13:13Speaker 3: Yuh no, no, no, no, I would choose taj Indian.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Yeah, you've been a taj ind and I got it
- 13:19Speaker 4: is so good.
- 13:20Speaker 3: It is so good. I would do the mushroom massala.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I think it's called alu gobi, which is like there's
- 13:28Speaker 3: cauliflower in it. Basically honestly the whole menu.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Yeah right, I would just.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Stuff myself with as much as humanly possible. I love
- 13:36Speaker 3: taj Indy and it's so good. That would be my
- 13:38Speaker 3: last meal. Yeah, it is incredible.
- 13:40Speaker 1: If you've never had it, we could not recommend it
- 13:42Speaker 1: more absolutely delicious stuff. I was thinking about this and
- 13:45Speaker 1: if for whatever reason, you know, I had to have
- 13:48Speaker 1: or choose a last meal, I don't think my answer
- 13:51Speaker 1: is so bad because I'm picking like eight of my
- 13:54Speaker 1: favorite meals.
- 13:55Speaker 4: You know there's no rules, right, No.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Yeah, you could just have AGAs bored.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, yeah, so of course you know I need
- 14:03Speaker 1: like a twelve ounce ribbi. Okay, I need a bowl
- 14:06Speaker 1: of chicken noodle soup. All right, get me some fried chicken.
- 14:09Speaker 1: If you could throw in some of my mom's ham
- 14:11Speaker 1: and beans soup in there. Okay, you know I'm lighting
- 14:14Speaker 1: this bad boy up. It's more like a buffet, is myst.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Your final buffet?
- 14:18Speaker 4: That's right?
- 14:19Speaker 1: We do have Rachel on the phone, Rachel, if you
- 14:22Speaker 1: were to, for whatever reason, have to have a last meal,
- 14:24Speaker 1: what would it be?
- 14:25Speaker 7: Oh, I'm going out dramatic. A huge plate of buttery
- 14:29Speaker 7: lobster pasta, garlic bread that absolutely ruins my breast forever,
- 14:33Speaker 7: and the cake with ice cream melting all over it.
- 14:37Speaker 7: If it's my last meal, calories.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Don't exist anymore, that's true.
- 14:42Speaker 3: I can't believe I forgot about pasta. You know me,
- 14:45Speaker 3: I always say I'm a carbo ho. I live for
- 14:48Speaker 3: a carb.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what I was thinking too.
- 14:51Speaker 1: And the fried chicken I would want would have to
- 14:53Speaker 1: be the quick trip fried chicken for whatever's in that
- 14:56Speaker 1: should be illegal. It's so good. I think it's kay, Mark,
- 15:01Speaker 1: what about you? We have Mark on the phone.
- 15:03Speaker 7: That's a tough one. But I'd have to go with pasta,
- 15:06Speaker 7: just nowlastic pasta.
- 15:08Speaker 5: I know I could have anything, but no, that's my
- 15:10Speaker 5: comfort food.
- 15:11Speaker 7: So that's what I would go with pasta, which is
- 15:14Speaker 7: regular old boring marinerisos.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Yeah, we can't go wrong with pasta, but you are
- 15:20Speaker 1: your last one.
- 15:20Speaker 4: You got to throw in some other stuff, right, Yeah.
- 15:23Speaker 2: But you know what pasta is the way to go?
- 15:26Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 15:26Speaker 1: Seven oh, one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 15:29Speaker 1: If for whatever reason you had to have a last meal,
- 15:32Speaker 1: what would it be? Let us know this morning here
- 15:34Speaker 1: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Man, she lack a woman.
- 15:42Speaker 1: This show today is for the ladies here on Big
- 15:45Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven.
- 15:46Speaker 4: I gotta tell.
- 15:46Speaker 1: You, you guys are like superheroes. Have you ever well, Angie,
- 15:52Speaker 1: I don't know if you've ever gone through this this
- 15:54Speaker 1: pain and strife. Okay, have you ever just been walking
- 15:58Speaker 1: around and something happens and you're like, oh, I could
- 16:00Speaker 1: really use a insert blank right?
- 16:03Speaker 3: Hum?
- 16:04Speaker 1: You know what you do? You just find a lady
- 16:05Speaker 1: with a purse. You guys have everything in there. Oh yeah,
- 16:09Speaker 1: there was a time here in the Big ninety eight
- 16:11Speaker 1: point seven studio where I was dying of allergies which
- 16:14Speaker 1: I didn't even really know I had. And who did
- 16:17Speaker 1: I find in our building? All right, our friend Corey
- 16:20Speaker 1: had an allergy pill just enterpurse. Well, yeah, yesterday, our
- 16:24Speaker 1: good buddy moos over on the Fox, Right, he sliced
- 16:28Speaker 1: his finger on something and we couldn't find any band aids.
- 16:31Speaker 1: What does he do? He went and found a lady
- 16:33Speaker 1: with a purse who had band aids.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 16:35Speaker 1: You guys are true superheroes here on Big ninety eight
- 16:39Speaker 1: point seven this morning. I didn't realize you guys literally
- 16:42Speaker 1: had that in your bag.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Well, we have to come prepared, especially because ladies pants
- 16:48Speaker 3: so rarely have pockets that aren't functional. So if we're
- 16:53Speaker 3: gonna carry anything, we got to do it in a purse,
- 16:55Speaker 3: and then we might as well just stuff that purse
- 16:57Speaker 3: with everything we could possibly need.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Yeah, piece of gum, find a lady you need yourself,
- 17:02Speaker 1: a band aid, find a lady you need yourself. I
- 17:04Speaker 1: don't know, some dental floss. Find a lady because they
- 17:07Speaker 1: probably have that in there.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Uh yeah, Angie or sorry.
- 17:10Speaker 7: Go ahead.
- 17:11Speaker 3: No, I was gonna say, I didn't even bring my
- 17:13Speaker 3: regular bag to work today, but I still have it
- 17:17Speaker 3: stocked with some necessary things.
- 17:18Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I feel like you just have a backup plan for
- 17:21Speaker 1: everything in those things. Yeah, I have to okay, But
- 17:24Speaker 1: I want to know what do you have in your
- 17:26Speaker 1: Can we play a game?
- 17:27Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:27Speaker 1: What do you have in your bag right now? Like,
- 17:29Speaker 1: what's the most random thing in there that.
- 17:31Speaker 4: You would have if you let me check?
- 17:33Speaker 1: Yeah, if you want to do me a favor, Angie's
- 17:34Speaker 1: walking around the table to grab her bag. And also
- 17:38Speaker 1: right now, if you happen to safely be able to
- 17:42Speaker 1: look in your bag or maybe you know what's in
- 17:43Speaker 1: it or your purse. What are a couple of the
- 17:46Speaker 1: things in there?
- 17:47Speaker 4: Let us know. It's seven oh one two eight zero
- 17:49Speaker 4: one to nine eight seven.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I'm not expecting you to dump your purse out all
- 17:52Speaker 1: over your kitchen counter right now, by the.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Way, but just let me know a couple of the
- 17:56Speaker 4: things in there.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I want to see all of the things that you
- 17:59Speaker 1: ladies have in your purses that literally can be used
- 18:04Speaker 1: in any scenario.
- 18:05Speaker 4: You probably have flint and fire starter in there.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Here's what I could help you with today, Gabe, all.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Right, what do you have your bag?
- 18:12Speaker 3: If you needed a little snack, a little pick me up,
- 18:15Speaker 3: I've got a protein bar in here.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Oh no, I like that classic you gotta stay stay full.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Yes exactly, I've got hand sanitizer. I have lip bomb
- 18:25Speaker 3: with SPF and without.
- 18:28Speaker 2: If you need some some protection.
- 18:31Speaker 3: And then the other one doesn't have any because what
- 18:33Speaker 3: if you don't like the flavor of the SPF one.
- 18:36Speaker 4: So I've got that without SPF. What does it do?
- 18:38Speaker 3: Then?
- 18:39Speaker 2: It hydrates your lips?
- 18:40Speaker 1: Oh?
- 18:40Speaker 4: Okay, okay, hydration, Okay, hydration.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I do have allergy pills. If you needed tail and all.
- 18:47Speaker 3: If you needed, oh, a shopping bag, like a target
- 18:52Speaker 3: shopping back if.
- 18:53Speaker 2: You need that.
- 18:54Speaker 4: What I got?
- 18:55Speaker 7: What that?
- 18:56Speaker 2: Just in case you need to carry something?
- 18:59Speaker 4: Okay? Is it plastic?
- 19:00Speaker 3: It's yeah, it's a plastic Oh can you hear that?
- 19:03Speaker 4: Yeah? I use those for my kitty litter.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Okay, See if you need an emergency, I've also got
- 19:09Speaker 3: a pen.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I've got gum, I've got floss. Yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 3: So if you need any of these things, I got
- 19:15Speaker 3: them in my bag. And this isn't even my normal.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Bag, right, that's like backup.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Yes, this is the backup bag.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Every time every day I walk around and I'll see
- 19:24Speaker 1: a woman who happens to have a bag or a
- 19:26Speaker 1: purse or whatever, and I just assume it's like the
- 19:30Speaker 1: entire bathroom cabinet that has all that stuff in there.
- 19:33Speaker 2: You know what it is?
- 19:34Speaker 3: We are Mary Poppins, Yeah, Mary Poppins with the endless bag.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Let me know what are a couple of the random
- 19:43Speaker 1: things you have in your bag? So if I'm in
- 19:45Speaker 1: trouble today, I know who to contact here from Big
- 19:48Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven Variety.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Big ninety eight point seven. It's gave an Angie.
- 19:53Speaker 1: We might see a little snow this morning, maybe in
- 19:55Speaker 1: the afternoon, and we hang out at twenty four today.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Man, you lack a woman now if.
- 20:01Speaker 1: You didn't know this this morning, I've kind of recently
- 20:05Speaker 1: just come to light that we walked amongst superheroes on
- 20:09Speaker 1: a day today basis okay, And no, I'm not talking
- 20:11Speaker 1: about the X Men, which we're going to talk about
- 20:14Speaker 1: later on in the show here and some awesome stuff
- 20:16Speaker 1: coming up with Comic Con. I am talking about women,
- 20:20Speaker 1: real life superheroes.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Yeah. It's just like in that.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Harry Potter movie where Hermione has all of those things
- 20:26Speaker 1: hidden at the bottom of that bag, basically an endless
- 20:29Speaker 1: supply of everything. Ladies, we wanted to know what is
- 20:34Speaker 1: in your purse, maybe something that's a little bit random,
- 20:38Speaker 1: as we discovered or we have in the past handful
- 20:41Speaker 1: of weeks, the ladies here at Big ninety eight point
- 20:43Speaker 1: seven and our coworkers have really come to save a
- 20:46Speaker 1: lot of dudes with the things that they have in there.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Seven zho one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Angie what are some things some ladies happen to have
- 20:55Speaker 1: in their purse.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Kelsey has socks in her purse and that's major.
- 20:59Speaker 2: She said, you don't want wet socks in winter, so
- 21:02Speaker 2: you gotta be prepared.
- 21:04Speaker 4: I love it smart we had.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Nick said that his grandma came in clutch when they
- 21:09Speaker 3: were on the strip because he got sick. And what
- 21:12Speaker 3: did she have a plastic bag for him to get
- 21:15Speaker 3: sick in? Especially grandma's They know what they're doing there
- 21:17Speaker 3: on top of it?
- 21:18Speaker 1: Now, Nick, why were you sick? That's what I want
- 21:20Speaker 1: to know. Was there one't too many bush lights the
- 21:22Speaker 1: night before or not?
- 21:23Speaker 2: I mean it was Vegas, that's true.
- 21:26Speaker 4: And now we do have someone on the phone, good morning.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Who's this.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Hi, My name's Mavis. I was listening to the purse
- 21:32Speaker 3: comment and I've got one for you.
- 21:33Speaker 4: All right? What are you having there?
- 21:34Speaker 7: So?
- 21:35Speaker 3: I'm a mom to two little boys and I typically
- 21:38Speaker 3: always got fruit snacks and teethers. And I was at
- 21:40Speaker 3: works the other day and this little kid was crying
- 21:43Speaker 3: and I happened to pull out a light up toy
- 21:45Speaker 3: and I calmed him down at the till.
- 21:47Speaker 4: See magical.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Yeah, women, especially mom's superheroes.
- 21:52Speaker 6: My best cry niece call me Very Poppins because she'd
- 21:54Speaker 6: come over and have anything.
- 21:56Speaker 7: So I laughing when you said that.
- 21:58Speaker 4: It's just true, Mary Poppins. It's good for you, ladies.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Thank you so much if I ever run into you
- 22:02Speaker 1: in public and need a band aid.
- 22:06Speaker 5: In the world of rules in gray areas, one morning
- 22:09Speaker 5: show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 22:11Speaker 4: We both know you're guilty. He's guilty. Is it legal?
- 22:15Speaker 4: You're guilty of the worst crime of all? On Big
- 22:18Speaker 4: ninety eight point seven.
- 22:21Speaker 1: So I could really do some research on this one, Angie.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I found out that it.
- 22:26Speaker 9: Is technically technically the way you're saying this, okay, it
- 22:33Speaker 9: is technically illegal to steal a gold medal from someone
- 22:38Speaker 9: in Canada.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Like it's actually a crime. You can go to jail, Mounty,
- 22:42Speaker 1: show up. There's paperwork. It's very official, which makes it
- 22:46Speaker 1: really awkward because the US men and women's hockey team
- 22:50Speaker 1: just skated into the Olympics, look Canada dead in the
- 22:52Speaker 1: eyes and said, hey, that's a nice gold medal you
- 22:54Speaker 1: got there.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Mind if I snatched that Canada invented hockey.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Okay, it's basically in their that's like beating Italy in
- 23:02Speaker 1: peace in pasta. Okay, it's like beating the Bison in football,
- 23:07Speaker 1: or you know, Fargo beating Florida and beach volleyball. It
- 23:11Speaker 1: just feels disrespectful, all right, But hey, we didn't steal it.
- 23:14Speaker 1: We wanted fair and square. We're just gonna hang on
- 23:17Speaker 1: to it for four years. Somewhere a mounty is filing
- 23:21Speaker 1: paperwork right now against our men and women's hockey teams.
- 23:25Speaker 4: Way to go, men and ladies.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Could not be more jacked and could not be trolling
- 23:32Speaker 1: Canada more for the next four years.
- 23:37Speaker 5: You know the thing that you're thinking about, But you're
- 23:39Speaker 5: too polite to say, we got you.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Who are you calling a coonie queen.
- 23:46Speaker 5: Dying on the hill of controversial opinion so you don't
- 23:49Speaker 5: have to pen?
- 23:53Speaker 4: This is sorry, not sorry. On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 23:58Speaker 1: I have just got to say this. I have been
- 24:00Speaker 1: ranting to Angie about this. I feel like what it
- 24:02Speaker 1: feels like since December. Yes, can we collectively agree when
- 24:11Speaker 1: there is a snowstorm, or it is pouring rain, or
- 24:17Speaker 1: there's forty mile per hours wind gus outside, we don't
- 24:24Speaker 1: need to send the poor weather people outside to let
- 24:28Speaker 1: us know it's snowing. Okay, we were watching the Today
- 24:32Speaker 1: Show the other day and this happens locally too. I'm
- 24:34Speaker 1: not just saying this, but we were watching the Today
- 24:36Speaker 1: Show yesterday. There's a big snowstorm in the East coast
- 24:40Speaker 1: right right, and they send out this poor lady to
- 24:44Speaker 1: stand outside during this blizzard, and I'm like, why does
- 24:47Speaker 1: she have to be out.
- 24:48Speaker 4: There to say it's snowing?
- 24:50Speaker 1: We get it, And they do that here in the
- 24:52Speaker 1: FM area two as well, and it's just like, what
- 24:55Speaker 1: are we doing? Can these poor people? Can't they just
- 24:58Speaker 1: step outside the building. If you want to get the
- 25:00Speaker 1: shot of them in the snow, you gotta drive them
- 25:03Speaker 1: four blocks away to get the snow shot. Can't we
- 25:06Speaker 1: just collectively potentially agree that, like, we don't need you
- 25:11Speaker 1: to sit outside to tell us it's.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Snowing or raining. We know what snow and rain is.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's for dramatic effect, but I feel
- 25:19Speaker 3: bad for them.
- 25:20Speaker 4: Every tible give me all right? Am I way out
- 25:24Speaker 4: of line?
- 25:25Speaker 1: There must be a reason they do it, and obviously's
- 25:27Speaker 1: probably great for ratings or something.
- 25:29Speaker 4: I don't know, but am I out of pocket?
- 25:31Speaker 8: Here?
- 25:31Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 25:34Speaker 1: If a weather person was just in the building and
- 25:37Speaker 1: told you it was snowing, would you go, na, I
- 25:40Speaker 1: gotta sea proof, get out there, get out there well?
- 25:43Speaker 2: And don't they have cameras outside?
- 25:46Speaker 3: I don't know to show the weather. I feel like
- 25:48Speaker 3: there's weather cams. I don't know that I need my
- 25:51Speaker 3: weather person. And they're usually are dressed so nicely. Yeah, studio,
- 25:55Speaker 3: and then you make them go outside.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Yes, Oh, I feel bad for and you know, I
- 26:01Speaker 1: know meteorologists. They kind of receive a you know, a
- 26:05Speaker 1: lot of a lot of flak because it's like, oh, yeah,
- 26:07Speaker 1: if I could get the weather wrong fifty percent, if
- 26:09Speaker 1: I could do my job fifty percent wrong, it'd be great.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Maybe that's why they do it. Maybe like I told you,
- 26:14Speaker 2: yeah right, I told you I was snelling. I told you.
- 26:17Speaker 1: They need proof. Yeah, yeah, Am I way wrong here?
- 26:20Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I'm just saying sorry, not sorry. Can we just the
- 26:26Speaker 1: weather people. I don't need you out side to tell
- 26:28Speaker 1: me it's snowing. Stay inside where it's warm and get
- 26:30Speaker 1: some coffee.
- 26:33Speaker 4: With the olympians all returning home. The Olympics are over.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I was wondering what that kind of come down is
- 26:40Speaker 1: like for them, Like they just won the gold medal.
- 26:42Speaker 1: It's something you know, most of them had trained years
- 26:44Speaker 1: and years, mayeving their whole lives for, and we us
- 26:48Speaker 1: regular people think it is gotta be one of the coolest,
- 26:52Speaker 1: most proud things of all time.
- 26:54Speaker 4: And I'm sure for a lot of them it is.
- 26:56Speaker 2: It is.
- 26:57Speaker 1: But if you've ever met someone who's won a medal
- 27:00Speaker 1: years later, they're always.
- 27:01Speaker 4: Like, oh, yeah, see it was cool.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Yes, that's exactly true.
- 27:04Speaker 4: Okay.
- 27:05Speaker 3: So I am friends with a woman named Margaret Holzer,
- 27:08Speaker 3: and in two thousand and eight she swam for the
- 27:10Speaker 3: US Olympic team in three events for swimming, and she
- 27:15Speaker 3: got a bronze and.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Two silver medals.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and by the time I met her, it was
- 27:20Speaker 3: already like twenty twenty one or something, and so there
- 27:24Speaker 3: was like a gathering at her house and all of
- 27:27Speaker 3: us guests.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Were like, let's see the medals.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Let's see and she was like, oh, yeah, I guess
- 27:31Speaker 3: hang on and like grab the medals. She let me
- 27:34Speaker 3: put on the medals and take a picture. Like I
- 27:37Speaker 3: was so fascinated by this. But by then, you know,
- 27:41Speaker 3: so much time had passed that.
- 27:43Speaker 2: She was like, yeah, it was cool, it was a
- 27:44Speaker 2: great experience. Maybe she was just.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Tired of having to talk about it so much therout her,
- 27:49Speaker 3: but yeah, it just didn't seem I don't know.
- 27:53Speaker 2: She just seemed kind of like, yeah, that was awesome, cool,
- 27:56Speaker 2: and that's it.
- 27:56Speaker 4: She had moved on already.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's because she trayed hard for it.
- 28:01Speaker 3: She did it, she accomplished it, and then okay, and
- 28:04Speaker 3: now on to the next thing. But I couldn't fathom. Oh,
- 28:06Speaker 3: I don't know if you know that, I can't really swim, right,
- 28:09Speaker 3: I can't really swim. I should learn how to swim. So,
- 28:12Speaker 3: especially because it was metals in swimming, I was like, hell.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Right, right, Well, so we asked this morning, what is
- 28:19Speaker 1: something that is? It sounds really really impressive, and then
- 28:23Speaker 1: you've done it and you're kind of like, oh that
- 28:25Speaker 1: was it was just a bit of a letdown maybe
- 28:27Speaker 1: or it wasn't what you thought it was. Yeah, all right,
- 28:30Speaker 1: And we have this up on Facebook and we do
- 28:32Speaker 1: have some texts as well, but Lee, I like this
- 28:34Speaker 1: one because this is so true. Lee said, traveled to
- 28:37Speaker 1: a warm location for a work related seminar. You think
- 28:41Speaker 1: you are about to get to the beach and enjoy
- 28:44Speaker 1: some sun and some warm weather. And here you're in
- 28:46Speaker 1: a conference room for eight hours a day. Oh yeah,
- 28:48Speaker 1: and taking notes. Yeah, we had Melissa, this was kind
- 28:54Speaker 1: of interesting. Melissa said, swimming with dolphins sounds real impressive,
- 28:59Speaker 1: but for her, it really just didn't.
- 29:01Speaker 2: And then it happens.
- 29:02Speaker 3: I feel like we build things up in our head
- 29:04Speaker 3: a lot and then it happens and you're like, oh yeah.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Because Christy did comment under Melissa and she said I
- 29:09Speaker 1: had an amazing experience with the dolphins and the keys.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Obviously where she swam with dolphins.
- 29:14Speaker 1: There is someone who had And I don't want to
- 29:17Speaker 1: downplay running a marathon.
- 29:18Speaker 4: If you ever run a marathon or right, you are
- 29:21Speaker 4: the goat.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, the Essentia Marathon is coming up exactly.
- 29:26Speaker 1: I think that has got to be one of the
- 29:27Speaker 1: most impressive feats of all time. But there are some
- 29:31Speaker 1: people who have said running a marathon, you know, you
- 29:33Speaker 1: picture triumph, and really the reality is is it's twenty
- 29:38Speaker 1: six point two miles of just kind of negotiating with
- 29:40Speaker 1: your knees why you made this decision?
- 29:42Speaker 4: Yeah, and then you just really want a banana at
- 29:45Speaker 4: the end.
- 29:46Speaker 1: You know, we also have I found this one to
- 29:49Speaker 1: be pretty funny, but Eric said, building your own furniture,
- 29:53Speaker 1: putting together like IKEA furniture. It's like, oh, I put
- 29:56Speaker 1: together this table, or I built this table.
- 29:58Speaker 4: Cool.
- 29:59Speaker 1: It all so wobbles and took nine hours longer than
- 30:02Speaker 1: the instruction set seven one two, eight zero one to
- 30:06Speaker 1: nine eighty seven. What is something that you know it
- 30:08Speaker 1: sounds really really impressive, but you've done it and you
- 30:11Speaker 1: are kind of like.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Nah, I need some good.
- 30:18Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 30:22Speaker 5: good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Now, yesterday we learned about a pretty impressive student here
- 30:29Speaker 1: in the FM area, and today we have another one.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Oh I like this.
- 30:32Speaker 1: A West Fargo teen has earned all one hundred and
- 30:38Speaker 1: forty two Merit badges available through Scouting America, which is
- 30:43Speaker 1: the most a scout can achieve. His name is Avante,
- 30:47Speaker 1: and he's been an Eagle Scout since age fourteen and
- 30:50Speaker 1: is one of just six hundred and forty four scouts
- 30:54Speaker 1: in the organization's history to complete every badge that is
- 30:59Speaker 1: in Yeah. His Scout master says he's humble and leads
- 31:03Speaker 1: by example, inspiring peers and younger scouts. Through scouting Vante
- 31:07Speaker 1: he gained hands on skills, and he's traveled for activities
- 31:10Speaker 1: like dog sledding and scuba diving. Now, at eighteen, he
- 31:13Speaker 1: plans to attend NDSU's College of Science or North Dakota
- 31:18Speaker 1: State College of Science to study car engines, which is
- 31:21Speaker 1: a passion sparked.
- 31:23Speaker 4: By one of his merit badges.
- 31:25Speaker 2: What an absolutely impressive kid.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Yeah, and we had just talked like ten minutes ago
- 31:31Speaker 1: about things that we think are super impressive until they're
- 31:33Speaker 1: actually done right. Well, everybody's gonna think this is impressive. No,
- 31:37Speaker 1: I mean it actually is. Yeah, And it sounds like
