Speaker 1: And the cracking power play Lord.
• 0:02
Speaker 2: This is the Kraking Postgame Show, brought to you by
• 0:06
Speaker 2: Toyota of Olympia. Now for an in depth look at
• 0:09
Speaker 2: your Kraken Hockey. It's the post game on the Global
• 0:13
Speaker 2: Credit Union Kraken Audio Network.
• 0:17
Speaker 3: But the Final Times a night welcome back inside of
• 0:19
Speaker 3: Canadian Tires Center here and Canada, Ontario.
• 0:23
Speaker 1: Alongside Big Al Kadisky.
• 0:25
Speaker 3: Ever fits you back with here the crack and fall
• 0:29
Speaker 3: four to three in a shootout here, Like Montreal, the
• 0:32
Speaker 3: Kraken made some mistakes. I thought they rebounded well from
• 0:36
Speaker 3: those mistakes, but again another late regulation, late third period,
• 0:42
Speaker 3: game tying goal against, ultimately leading to the shootout loss.
• 0:46
Speaker 4: Here for Seattle, well, I think you and have talked
• 0:48
Speaker 4: about it a lot, and I think we have a
• 0:50
Speaker 4: sample size big enough now from preseason to regular season
• 0:53
Speaker 4: where we know these games are gonna be greasy, they're
• 0:55
Speaker 4: gonna be tight, they're gonna be defensive, and unfortunately sometimes
• 0:58
Speaker 4: you follow on the wrong side of a defensive, low
• 1:01
Speaker 4: scoring event. And that's the case tonight, it was a
• 1:04
Speaker 4: case in Montreal. You do get points out of both
• 1:06
Speaker 4: of those games, and that's gonna help in the long run.
• 1:09
Speaker 1: But unfortunately you're not.
• 1:10
Speaker 4: You didn't take advantage of a team that was playing
• 1:13
Speaker 4: their second in a back to back, and.
• 1:15
Speaker 3: Listen if you're Seattle. I mean a lots of build
• 1:18
Speaker 3: off in this game. I thought the physicality was still there.
• 1:21
Speaker 3: You out hit Ottawa by a twenty seven to nineteen margin.
• 1:26
Speaker 3: Your face offs got better as the game went on.
• 1:29
Speaker 3: At one point Seattle was in the twenties percentage wise
• 1:33
Speaker 3: in the faceoff dot they ended up finishing with forty
• 1:36
Speaker 3: six percent. You had seven takeaways to Ottawa's four takeaways,
• 1:42
Speaker 3: so there are some positives to build off of. I
• 1:44
Speaker 3: thought Grubauer would love to have a couple of the
• 1:46
Speaker 3: goals back. He made some big saves when he needed.
• 1:49
Speaker 3: The power play was one for three to night Chandler
• 1:51
Speaker 3: Stevenson with two goals. So still a lot to be
• 1:54
Speaker 3: proud of in this one the night for Seattle.
• 1:56
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think so.
• 1:57
Speaker 4: And there's definitely some things to clean up that coaching
• 1:59
Speaker 4: staffell lo at with film and talk to players about.
• 2:01
Speaker 1: But I think that they can they can.
• 2:04
Speaker 4: Respect and appreciate the battle of the team put in
• 2:06
Speaker 4: the clean up of that first period into the second
• 2:10
Speaker 4: and third, and that that no quit now they again,
• 2:13
Speaker 4: they got all the way through to taking the lead
• 2:15
Speaker 4: there in the third period, unfortunately giving up that goal late.
• 2:18
  Speaker 4: It's just a gut rencher.
• 2:20
Speaker 3: Two games through this six game road trip, identical results
• 2:24
Speaker 3: for the most part, extra hockey losses.
• 2:27
Speaker 1: But what have you made about Seattle through now?
• 2:31
Speaker 3: You know, three periods plus two over times plus a shootout.
• 2:34
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean what I've made is that these are
• 2:36
Speaker 4: the kind of hockey games we're probably gonna see a
• 2:38
Speaker 4: lot of this year. Four to three is a high
• 2:41
Speaker 4: scoring game, even in a in a shootout game for
• 2:44
Speaker 4: this club. I would say you're gonna see a lot
• 2:46
Speaker 4: more three to two games, three one games throughout the year.
• 2:49
Speaker 4: But tonight we saw Philip Grubauer for the first time
• 2:52
Speaker 4: in regulation. I think there are a couple saves he
• 2:55
Speaker 4: could have made. I think he came up with a
• 2:56
Speaker 4: couple of big saves as well that could have changed
• 2:59
Speaker 4: the outcome of the game. But I have to say
• 3:00
Speaker 4: Linis Almark was the better goaltender in the third period.
• 3:03
Speaker 4: He had a lot more highlight reel saves. All right.
• 3:06
Speaker 3: Ow outside of that, anymore final thoughts before we get
• 3:09
  Speaker 3: out of here.
• 3:09
Speaker 4: Yeah, listen, power play was one for two, so fifty
• 3:12
Speaker 4: percent of the night. You can't worry about that. Limiting
• 3:16
Speaker 4: shots in the second goal in the second period was
• 3:18
Speaker 4: really good for Seattle. I thought there were too many
• 3:21
Speaker 4: giveaways seventeen on the night. Again, that's part of that
• 3:24
Speaker 4: cleaning up the play a little bit. Seattle continues to
• 3:27
Speaker 4: be gritty. Twenty seven hits, twenty block shots. Didn't get
• 3:31
Speaker 4: to that fifty mark that we talked about, but very
• 3:33
Speaker 4: close to it. So that continues and that's a good sign.
• 3:37
Speaker 4: Three stars tonight brought to you by Mama Kay waiting
• 3:39
Speaker 4: at home to hear if any of her boys got
• 3:41
  Speaker 4: a star.
• 3:42
Speaker 1: Third star does go.
• 3:43
Speaker 4: To one of them, Chandler Stevenson from the Seattle cracking
• 3:45
Speaker 4: a couple of goals from him tonight. Second star goes
• 3:48
Speaker 4: to linis Olmark nine went two save percentage, stopping thirty
• 3:52
Speaker 4: one to thirty four, and the number one star went
• 3:54
Speaker 4: to Shane Pinto of the Senators with a goal in
• 3:57
Speaker 4: the first period kicking it off at the Senators.
• 4:00
Speaker 3: The best part about the East Coast road trips. Mama
• 4:02
Speaker 3: Kay gets her three stars.
• 4:03
Speaker 1: I've got six fifty three PM Pacific show. She can
• 4:07
Speaker 1: enjoy her dinner now he's got her fuzzy slippers on.

Speaker 5: for the crack inside this evening, you play a good
• 4:49
Speaker 5: enough game to win. Unfortunately it doesn't shake out that
• 4:52
Speaker 5: way on the final score sheet, as they give a
• 4:55
Speaker 5: late game time goal for the second straight game, a
• 4:58
Speaker 5: shot by Dylan Cousins with debate of the glove side
• 5:01
Speaker 5: of Philip Grubauer, and then it was finished off in
• 5:04
Speaker 5: the shootout by Shane Pinto to cap off a four
• 5:07
Speaker 5: to three. Comeback Ottawa over the Crack and your final
• 5:10
Speaker 5: in a shootout Yet the Crack and still are undefeated

• 8:03
Speaker 5: thirty two Bar and Grill on a night with the
• 8:04
Speaker 5: Kraken once again, play well enough to win. Unfortunately a
• 8:08
Speaker 5: breakdown late of some sort is a root cause. Here
• 8:12
Speaker 5: for a comeback on the home side and the crack
• 8:14
Speaker 5: and have to settle once again for a point getting
• 8:17
Speaker 5: this one into overtime, forced to play extra hockey and
• 8:21
Speaker 5: Ottawa emerging via the shootout four to three the final
• 8:24
Speaker 5: over the Kraken and despite that, the Cracking remaining unbeaten
• 8:28
Speaker 5: in regulation. They are now two to zero and two.
• 8:31
Speaker 5: But given the facts of what happened here for the
• 8:33
Speaker 5: second and third period, it stings a bit, but yet
• 8:36
Speaker 5: a chance here to make up ground once again in
• 8:38
Speaker 5: a very volatile atmosphere coming up two nights from now
• 8:40
Speaker 5: on Hockey Night in Canada in Toronto, Ottawa with the
• 8:44
Speaker 5: comeback win ends their back to back situation, improving to
• 8:48
Speaker 5: two and three. One more matchup here for these two
• 8:51
Speaker 5: teams to go for the regular season. Time now for
• 8:54
Speaker 5: the highlights, and this diebokracking drive to the next scoring
• 8:56
Speaker 5: recap is brought to you by the All News Chevy Tracks,
• 9:00
Speaker 5: Bigger and Boulder Tracks is the perfect assist for all
• 9:04
Speaker 5: of life's adventures. Kracken hadn't scored a goal in this
• 9:08
Speaker 5: building in Ottawa ever since twenty twenty two and twenty three,
• 9:11
Speaker 5: but they took care of that streak, ending it emphatically
• 9:15
Speaker 5: at four fifty seven courtesy Shane Wright, who got his
• 9:18
Speaker 5: first goal of the season cleaning up a Louis puck
• 9:21
Speaker 5: at the front of the net. Brandon Montour Mason Marchman
• 9:24
Speaker 5: had the assist to give the Kraken a one to
• 9:26
Speaker 5: nothing advantage, but penalty issues came to men. For period one.
• 9:31
Speaker 5: It would kill off the first to an Adam Larson slash,
• 9:34
Speaker 5: but then Ryan Winterton offered, tripping Ottawa, then getting to
• 9:38
Speaker 5: work with back to back goals in the span of
• 9:40
Speaker 5: one p fifty three. Shane Pinto scored at seven forty
• 9:44
Speaker 5: two his sixth from Lars Eller and Klaud Gerue to
• 9:47
Speaker 5: tie it up, and then the power play goal which
• 9:49
Speaker 5: hurt the Krack, and in this case it was David
• 9:51
Speaker 5: Peran getting his first of the night, coming at nine
• 9:53
Speaker 5: thirty five. Jeriu and Thomas Shabbat with the assist on
• 9:58
Speaker 5: the play, and the Kraken had some more to do
• 10:00
Speaker 5: down to one end of twenty minutes, but they would
• 10:03
Speaker 5: make things right back up with Chandler Stephenson, the veteran,
• 10:06
Speaker 5: getting on the board bar down on Lina's olmark as
• 10:09
Speaker 5: pretty as it gets for forty the time of the goal.
• 10:13
Speaker 5: In period two, Jaden Schwartz have the only helper and
• 10:16
Speaker 5: the Kraken right back to square one, so to speak,
• 10:19
Speaker 5: in a two to two tie with Ottawa at the
• 10:22
Speaker 5: end of two periods of play. In two period three,
• 10:25
Speaker 5: the Kraken going right to the man advantage and who
• 10:28
Speaker 5: comes right back looking for the lead again in.
• 10:31
Speaker 1: The ears, drops it off to Montour.
• 10:33
Speaker 3: You'll skate left side, hand it off to Stevenson in
• 10:36
Speaker 3: a circle and back up to the line from on
• 10:38
Speaker 3: Tour Stevenson down low everly China shovel it in turn
• 10:42
  Speaker 3: aside rebound.
• 10:43
  Speaker 1: Stevenson scores.
• 10:47
Speaker 3: Chandler Stevenson left circle on the power play.
• 10:51
Speaker 1: Gives the Cracking the lead back.
• 10:52
Speaker 3: It's three to two, seventeen forty five left here the
• 10:56
  Speaker 3: third Oh was.
• 10:57
Speaker 4: Every down that left side there, getting a good shot
• 11:00
Speaker 4: on net just to get the puck up front there
• 11:02
Speaker 4: and Stevenson picking it up and about finding the rebound
• 11:06
Speaker 4: and beating Olmark to get the go ahead goal here
• 11:08
Speaker 4: in the third period three two Kracking.
• 11:11
Speaker 5: Very promising signs to see veteran Chandler Stevenson get on
• 11:15
Speaker 5: the board not once but twice and in multiple situations
• 11:19
Speaker 5: have five on five and also on the power play.
• 11:21
Speaker 5: This goal coming on the man advantage at two fifteen
• 11:25
Speaker 5: period three, as he snapped one home left circle on Olmark,
• 11:28
Speaker 5: Jordan Eberley and Brandon Montour with the assist on the
• 11:32
Speaker 5: play and the krack and holding the one goal lead
• 11:35
Speaker 5: down to the final minutes and seemingly well in command
• 11:39
Speaker 5: but giving credit where credit is due lead us Olmark
• 11:42
Speaker 5: turning away several stops with the crack and trying to
• 11:44
Speaker 5: put the game away and the leads still at one,
• 11:47
Speaker 5: with Ottawa coming right back with less than two minutes left.
• 11:51
Speaker 3: And there it goes Olmark off to the bench, extra
• 11:53
Speaker 3: attacker on here for Ottawa. Here side Cousins scores. Dylan
• 12:08
Speaker 3: Cousins whips a shot from the right side just inside
• 12:14
Speaker 3: the line and it's in by Groubauer.
• 12:19
Speaker 1: Ottawa ties the game three to three.
• 12:23
Speaker 5: That was a tough one to recover from and get
• 12:25
Speaker 5: right back up for the next shift. There as Dylan
• 12:27
Speaker 5: Cousins launching a fifty footer from the right wing from
• 12:31
Speaker 5: the outside as well. It be Philip Grubauer clean glove
• 12:34
Speaker 5: side and Ottawa getting their building energized once again on
• 12:38
Speaker 5: that game tying goal with eighteen fourteen gone by in
• 12:42
Speaker 5: period three, so again the krack and having to fend
• 12:44
Speaker 5: off a late game tying goal, just like in Montreal,
• 12:48
Speaker 5: now in Ottawa with a game ti to three, cousins
• 12:51
Speaker 5: from Drake Bathson and Jordan Spence. Officially that was a
• 12:54
Speaker 5: play that went down on the score sheet and overtime
• 12:57
Speaker 5: the Craken had two great looks Mattie Ben and Chandler
• 13:00
Speaker 5: Stevenson come to mind trying to put it away. That
• 13:03
Speaker 5: Lena Soulmark, who was a big part of this Ottawa
• 13:06
Speaker 5: comeback keeping them in the game and it would require
• 13:09
Speaker 5: a shootout as well. In round one, Drake Bathurston and
• 13:14
Speaker 5: Jordan Everley turned away. In round two, Tim Stutzla scored
• 13:18
Speaker 5: a goal, Jeed McCann turned away by Olmark. And then
• 13:21
Speaker 5: to round three with Shane Pinto having the game on
• 13:24
  Speaker 5: his stick.
• 13:24
Speaker 3: Right here, Shane Pinto can put it away for the
• 13:28
Speaker 3: whole team right handed shot. Shane Pinto from the red line,
• 13:33
Speaker 3: carries it over left side of the circle, now cuts
• 13:35
Speaker 3: back to the slot, walks.
• 13:37
Speaker 1: In, shoots, scores and the Ottawa Senators.
• 13:44
Speaker 3: Come back after the Kraken took the lead early in
• 13:48
Speaker 3: the third, They score late in the third, survive a
• 13:57
Speaker 3: push thump Seattle in overtime and get the win in
• 14:01
Speaker 3: the shootout by a four to three score and.
• 14:04
Speaker 5: A heartbreaking way to go out here in this one,
• 14:06
Speaker 5: the Kracking owning a pretty big advantage in shots. They
• 14:09
Speaker 5: cleaned up the penalty game as well after period one,
• 14:11
Speaker 5: but the game tying goal really turned matters around. And
• 14:14
Speaker 5: of the shootout where it's a fifty to fifty game,
• 14:17
Speaker 5: so to speak, as they say in this business, and
• 14:19
Speaker 5: Shane Pinto had the last say in that the goal
• 14:22
Speaker 5: to put it away right past Screwbauer and the Crack
• 14:25
Speaker 5: and again having to settle for a shootout point tonight
• 14:27
Speaker 5: as Ottawa takes at four to three. The final score
• 14:30
Speaker 5: at Canadian Entire Center, your final shots on net in
• 14:33
Speaker 5: favor of the Kraken thirty four to twenty three, and
• 14:36
Speaker 5: to cat matters off as far as how well they
• 14:37
Speaker 5: played in overtime trying to fight out the game tying goal.
• 14:41
Speaker 5: He had six shots on net, Outawa had just won
• 14:45
Speaker 5: power plays wise, Kracking goal won for three. Outawa goes
• 14:48
Speaker 5: one to two in the main advantage and the win
• 14:50
Speaker 5: in net. You give credit here Lean the soul mark
• 14:53
Speaker 5: was sharp down the stretch and he picks up the
• 14:55
Speaker 5: victory with a thirty one save effort on thirty four shots.
• 14:59
Speaker 5: Philip Grubauer t the shootout loss with twenty saves on
• 15:03
Speaker 5: twenty three shots. Time now for the cors Light Chill

• 15:22
Speaker 5: rewind back to period one and just underway with the
• 15:25
Speaker 5: Kraken trying to end a bothersome drought. Shane Wright got
• 15:30
Speaker 5: the Cracking out to a one to nothing lead and
• 15:31
Speaker 5: that ended a string of no goals in Ottawa's buildings
• 15:35
Speaker 5: since the twenty twenty two and twenty three seasons, so

• 16:13
Speaker 5: Eight saves on nine shots at all Mark made in
• 16:16
Speaker 5: period three and plenty were from high danger varieties. So
• 16:20
Speaker 5: a big part of Ottawa coming back in this game
• 16:22
Speaker 5: had to do with the guy in between the pipes
• 16:24
Speaker 5: and leanus Ollmark with that effort as well helping keep
• 16:27
Speaker 5: Ottawa in the game. And part of this uh spark
• 16:31
Speaker 5: for what was a comeback ending in the shootout that
• 16:34
Speaker 5: brings us here to the big win now brought to
• 16:36

Speaker 5: this the cracking in Ottawa and early game on the

• 17:11

• 17:12
Speaker 1: The lead at two to one.
• 17:14
Speaker 5: John Wideman had the call there on WGN Radio for
• 17:17
Speaker 5: the Blackhawks, as Lucas Reichel that goal he's scored all
• 17:21
Speaker 5: a part of a three point nine had two goals
• 17:23
Speaker 5: as well in Chicago, routing Saint Louis eight three for
• 17:27
Speaker 5: their second straight win. By the way, Connor Badard had
• 17:30
Speaker 5: three assists with the black Hawks playing a pretty inspired
• 17:33
Speaker 5: game without Captain Nick Folino, who took a leave of
• 17:35
Speaker 5: absence because his twelve year old daughter having follow up

Speaker 5: he is right now, back in Ottawa, meeting with the media.
• 21:12
Speaker 4: You see, how do you assess the game like this?
• 21:14
Speaker 13: You guys had control for a large part today and
• 21:16
Speaker 13: then gets away from you lates, how's.
• 21:18
Speaker 4: The team that feel like coming away from a game
• 21:20
Speaker 4: with It's just in.
• 21:21
Speaker 13: Totality, I mean, I think you've got to feel good. Obviously,
• 21:25
Speaker 13: a lot of chances. Omar played great, Groomy played great.
• 21:33
Speaker 13: Maybe it's some big saves for US two and yeah,
• 21:35
Speaker 13: it's just one of those games that you know you're
• 21:37
Speaker 13: early on in the season and you want to be
• 21:40
Speaker 13: able to close those ones out. I'm sure all I
• 21:42
Speaker 13: wanted to be able to close that one out. But yes,
• 21:46
Speaker 13: it's still early, still figuring out a bit, a little bit,
• 21:50
Speaker 13: different systems somewhat. So yeah, I think nobody's uh panicking.
• 21:56
Speaker 15: But at the same time, you know.
• 22:00
Speaker 13: We were in the lead, so pretty nice to be
• 22:02
Speaker 13: walking out of here with two points, but you know,
• 22:05
Speaker 13: we'll take one, especially on the road.
• 22:07
Speaker 3: You had some new line mates tonight, although you you've
• 22:10
Speaker 3: seen him before, I mean, how did how did you
• 22:11
Speaker 3: feel out there playing with them?
• 22:12
Speaker 8: Usually obviously got the two goals or something that's working.
• 22:15
Speaker 13: Yeah, good obviously, just yeah, the chemistry with uh Tolby
• 22:22
Speaker 13: and Shortzy is good like the Shortsy majority of the
• 22:25
Speaker 13: here in Tolby through parts. So yeah, I I I
• 22:31
  Speaker 13: I think you know, Tolby's a shooter and Shortzy's kind
• 22:34
  Speaker 13: of like.
• 22:34
Speaker 1: A dog on a bone, so.
• 22:37
Speaker 13: He uh gets a lot of pucks and I mean
• 22:40
Speaker 13: that was all him on that goal. I said to
• 22:43
Speaker 13: shoot it. So yeah, I I think you know, Toty
• 22:46
Speaker 13: is another chance makes a great say, but great play
• 22:49
Speaker 13: by Shortzy uh to find him on the weak side,
• 22:51
Speaker 13: and yeah, I mean it's kind of power play. You know,
• 22:57
Speaker 13: both units are looking really good, so getting a lot
• 22:59
Speaker 13: of looks chances PK maybe you know a little bit better,
• 23:04
Speaker 13: but all in all, yeah, you know, we're uh fairly
• 23:08
  Speaker 13: happy with uh.
• 23:09
Speaker 9: I would turned out despite them ultimately telling him late
• 23:12
  Speaker 9: they were.
• 23:13
Speaker 3: Chasing the whole third years and they only got six
• 23:15
Speaker 3: shots and can you guys walk away like thinking, we
• 23:17
Speaker 3: actually defended that league pretty well in the final.
• 23:19
Speaker 13: Frame, Yeah, I mean somewhat. I mean, kind of weird shot.
• 23:27
Speaker 13: I don't know if anybody knew that he was gonna
• 23:28
Speaker 13: shoot that from from the wall, but yeah, I think
• 23:32
Speaker 13: that that's something that you know, we wanna be good in.
• 23:37
  Speaker 13: I mean, it's uh the NHL, it's gonna be a
• 23:40
Speaker 13: lot of one goal games. You know, it's gonna be
• 23:43
Speaker 13: we're gonna be down one pressing, and that's just kind
• 23:46
Speaker 13: of there's not many games where you have comfortable lead
• 23:49
Speaker 13: in this league. So I think, yeah, as the season
• 23:52
Speaker 13: goes on, the more comfortable guys will get in those situations.
• 23:55
Speaker 13: And obviously losing pretty you know, really good base off
• 23:59
Speaker 13: and he's own guy for us that you know would
• 24:02
Speaker 13: have been nice to have out there. But yeah, I
• 24:05
Speaker 13: think all in all, I mean, if you want to
• 24:08
Speaker 13: win every game, I know it's not realistic, but you know,
• 24:11
Speaker 13: especially when you're in the leader, you want to have
• 24:12
Speaker 13: two points. But you know, we're I don't want to
• 24:16
Speaker 13: say I said, we're happy with one, but obviously two
• 24:19
Speaker 13: would have been nice. But we're happy with the effort.
• 24:23
Speaker 5: And still unbeaten in regulation this season. Those comments from
• 24:26
Speaker 5: Chandler Stevenson meeting with the media in Montreal, and we'll
• 24:29
Speaker 5: see if the change in the lineup here unlocks something
• 24:32
Speaker 5: for him. So far, so good for night number one,
• 24:35
Speaker 5: paired with Jayden Schwartz and the left wing and Ellie
• 24:37
Speaker 5: Toulvenen on the right wing, but also the cracking maybe
• 24:40
Speaker 5: having to figure things out with a loss of Freddie
• 24:42
Speaker 5: Goodrou who left the game early, would not return, so
• 24:45
Speaker 5: we'll see if he can come back here for the
• 24:47
Speaker 5: next one in Toronto. We'll talk about that after this.
• 24:50
