- 0:00Speaker 1: I know this is kind of morbid because Dolly Parton died,
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hayden Penn and Terry died. And then he was like,
- 0:04Speaker 1: it usually happens in threes. He's like, do you think
- 0:06Speaker 1: we should get into that? And I don't think I
- 0:08Speaker 1: answered you. And now somebody just died. Who?
- 0:10Speaker 2: Just now.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Tim Curry. Actor Tim Curry, 80 years old, just died.
- 0:14Speaker 1: You know him from Rocky Horror Picture Show, from Home
- 0:16Speaker 1: Alone 2.
- 0:17Speaker 3: It.
- 0:18Speaker 4: It.
- 0:19Speaker 2: He's Pennywise. The original Pennywise.
- 0:21Speaker 1: He's in a bunch of movies and he just died.
- 0:23Speaker 1: So that's three.
- 0:24Speaker 5: That's so sad. So sad. It does come in threes though.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Every time. Isn't that weird? Yeah.
- 0:30Speaker 3: And that was so quick too. Usually I feel like
- 0:33Speaker 3: it might take a couple of weeks, but this has
- 0:34Speaker 3: all been like within.
- 0:35Speaker 5: The last 10 days. Boom, boom, boom.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I was going to bring this up to Rich too
- 0:37Speaker 1: when he brought that up because I was going to
- 0:38Speaker 1: say yesterday I was at the gym working out and
- 0:40Speaker 1: it was this girl's birthday, Tara. It was her birthday.
- 0:42Speaker 1: And there was a big celebration for her during her
- 0:44Speaker 1: birthday and there was balloons and cake and donuts and
- 0:46Speaker 1: everyone was having a good time. And then all the
- 0:49Speaker 1: alerts went off that Dolly Parton died. I was like,
- 0:51Speaker 1: oh wow, Dolly Parton died on your birthday. And immediately
- 0:53Speaker 1: I thought of, on my birthday, I remember Steve Irwin,
- 0:55Speaker 1: the crocodile hunter.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Died on my birthday. Oh, that's sad. And I was
- 0:58Speaker 2: really bummed that he died on my birthday.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And I started thinking, I wonder if there's a, I
- 1:02Speaker 1: know this is sad, but I wonder, like, who else,
- 1:04Speaker 1: what celebrity died on your birthday? I know it's morbid,
- 1:06Speaker 1: but for some reason I thought it was really interesting.
- 1:09Speaker 1: That's just, I'll just throw it out there.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Because you'll never forget the day that celebrity passed out.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Every time my birthday, I think of Steve Irwin, the
- 1:14Speaker 2: crocodile hunter.
- 1:15Speaker 3: And if you, like, felt like an emotional connection, like,
- 1:17Speaker 3: everyone loves Steve Irwin, so when he went, I mean,
- 1:20Speaker 3: it was.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:20Speaker 5: Hearts were broken for everyone. I know.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:22Speaker 1: And then my dad, I remember my dad emailed me
- 1:24Speaker 1: and he was like, hey, Steve Irwin just died on
- 1:26Speaker 1: your birthday.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I'm like, I know dad. So that was his headline?
- 1:29Speaker 2: Something like that. I mean, I'm sure we talked earlier
- 1:31Speaker 2: that day. Anyway, Kyle, what are three things we need
- 1:32Speaker 2: to know?
- 1:33Speaker 4: So Meta is now going to have to fork over $ 16.
- 1:36Speaker 5: 7 billion.
- 1:39Speaker 4: This is to settle the massive fight over what Facebook
- 1:43Speaker 4: and Instagram may be doing to kids. And what I
- 1:46Speaker 4: thought was interesting is Arizona was one of the states
- 1:48Speaker 4: suing them.
- 1:49Speaker 5: It's actually one of the states involved and helped push
- 1:50Speaker 5: for this change. So it's not just about the money.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Meta has agreed to put time limits on teen accounts,
- 1:56Speaker 4: block them during certain nighttime hours, do more to verify kids' ages,
- 2:00Speaker 4: and give parents more controls. So if the judge signs
- 2:03Speaker 4: off on this, the way your kids use Instagram and
- 2:06Speaker 4: Facebook could actually start changing within months.
- 2:08Speaker 5: The changes will come very quickly. So where does that
- 2:10Speaker 5: $ 16. 7 billion go to?
- 2:13Speaker 2: That's a good question.
- 2:14Speaker 5: What will they actually use it for? It will go
- 2:17Speaker 5: split up to the states, but what will the states
- 2:19Speaker 5: use it for?
- 2:19Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:19Speaker 5: Not totally sure.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 2:21Speaker 4: If your teenager takes an Uber, I've always wondered, like,
- 2:23Speaker 4: you know, like, I guess it's, you know, sometimes last-ditch effort.
- 2:27Speaker 5: You got to get them somewhere. You put them in Uber.
- 2:29Speaker 4: You don't feel safe doing it, but Uber wants you
- 2:31Speaker 4: to feel safe doing that because you could actually watch
- 2:35Speaker 4: them now. They're rolling out a new feature that's going
- 2:37Speaker 4: to let parents watch the ride live through the driver's phone.
- 2:41Speaker 5: So you'll get a notification when the video is available.
- 2:44Speaker 5: You could check in on the ride whenever you want.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Uber says they are rolling this out nationwide over the
- 2:48Speaker 4: next few weeks. So if your team does take the Uber,
- 2:51Speaker 4: you can literally watch the ride.
- 2:53Speaker 5: From start to finish and make sure they got where
- 2:54Speaker 5: they needed to go.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Would you do that, Kyle?
- 2:57Speaker 4: I don't think I could ever put my kid in
- 2:59Speaker 4: a stranger's car.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure you would watch if you did, right?
- 3:02Speaker 2: You would watch the whole ride.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I don't think I would. I mean, I'm like, it's
- 3:05Speaker 2: like at some point you got to.
- 3:07Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I'm like, my mom would have 100% throw me in
- 3:09Speaker 3: an Uber.
- 3:11Speaker 5: I know. It's actually a flaw. I'm too much of
- 3:14Speaker 5: a helicopter mom. There's no way.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I don't think that's being a helicopter mom. Not putting
- 3:17Speaker 2: your kid in an Uber. I think that's okay.
- 3:21Speaker 5: But again, like I said, for some people, it's not
- 3:23Speaker 5: even an option.
- 3:23Speaker 2: You've got to get them somewhere. You put your six-month-old
- 3:25Speaker 2: in there in the car seat.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Bye.
- 3:28Speaker 2: At least you put her in the car seat. That's
- 3:29Speaker 2: being a good parent.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Okay.
- 3:33Speaker 2: L.A.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Traffic during the 2028 Olympics sounds like it's going to
- 3:36Speaker 4: be an absolute nightmare because the L.A.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Traffic comparison is already a nightmare. but they are.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Trying to find solutions and they have found one. Just
- 3:45Speaker 4: fly over the traffic. Just fly over it. A futuristic
- 3:48Speaker 4: air taxi was unveiled in downtown L.A., and they have
- 3:52Speaker 4: plans for landing spots all over the city at SoFi Stadium, USC,
- 3:57Speaker 4: Burbank Airport.
- 3:58Speaker 5: The one thing holding them back at.
- 4:00Speaker 4: This point is they still need FAA approval, but the
- 4:03Speaker 4: goal is to actually have these things flying people around L.A.
- 4:07Speaker 5: In time for the Olympics in 2020.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Let me guess. Are they driverless air taxis? What could
- 4:12Speaker 2: possibly go wrong?
- 4:13Speaker 3: Not get in a driverless air taxi there would need
- 4:16Speaker 3: to be a human being operating that machinery.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Okay you guys are looking at these stories all wrong
- 4:22Speaker 4: now we have so many ways to get around that's
- 4:25Speaker 4: right i do it if they do get faa approval
- 4:28Speaker 4: which i'm so interested because it's the whole flying car
- 4:30Speaker 4: thing it's like how do they figure out how cars
- 4:32Speaker 4: aren't going to just fly into planes right like that
- 4:35Speaker 4: flying to each other yeah exactly so we'll have to
- 4:37Speaker 4: wait and see how that one pans out but like
- 4:39Speaker 4: that's 2020 that's.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Like right around the They're going to drop you off
- 4:42Speaker 2: in a pool somewhere.
- 4:43Speaker 3: I know.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Like the Amazon things. All right.
- 4:47Speaker 5: That's three things you need to know.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Peyton, did you say that you had some quotes from
- 4:50Speaker 2: Dolly Parton that were important?
- 4:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Like these were some quotes that Dolly Parton said that
- 4:55Speaker 3: people should live by. So one of them, never ignore
- 4:59Speaker 3: your roots, your home, or your hair.
- 5:03Speaker 2: That's good.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Which could also be your roots.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Exactly. She covers a lot there.
- 5:08Speaker 5: This one's my favorite.
- 5:09Speaker 3: A loose tongue can lead to broken teeth.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Which she definitely loves. Another reason why she was so loved.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Totally.
- 5:17Speaker 5: If you want the rainbow, you got to put up
- 5:19Speaker 5: with the rain. It's a good one.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:22Speaker 3: A couple more.
- 5:23Speaker 5: It costs a lot of money to look this cheap.
- 5:25Speaker 2: That's excellent.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Excellent.
- 5:27Speaker 3: I was like, I feel like Serena Carpenter is living
- 5:29Speaker 3: by that rule right now and I love it for her.
- 5:31Speaker 3: And then the last one is, I will never harden
- 5:33Speaker 3: my heart, but I've toughened the muscles around it.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Oh, I like that one.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Me too.
- 5:38Speaker 2: That's pretty good. Rest in peace, I pardon.
