- 0:04My name is Lucia and although I am now thirty- five years old,
- 0:08I cannot forget that terrifying experience that I lived in my last year of high
- 0:14school, when I was eighteen years old. Back then, my popularity at
- 0:17school was practically zero. I only had a friend named Andres, who from
- 0:24the first year got along very well with me. But deep down he had
- 0:28always wanted to belong to the popular group. Ever since I went into school,
- 0:34the group seemed fascinating to me. They were a group of six,
- 0:39four girls and two boys who had all the beauty, popularity, intelligence and
- 0:46money. Even though our school was public, everyone envied them. I'
- 0:52d always wanted to belong to them, but being an ordinary girl. I
- 0:57knew it was almost impossible already in my last year of high school I had
- 1:03resigned myself to never belong to the Group of the Populars. One day,
- 1:07however, something happened that completely changed that situation. While chatting with my friend
- 1:14Andres in the school cafeteria and having breakfast, one of the girls from the
- 1:18Popular Group approached us. My eyes opened like plates. When I saw her
- 1:23in front of me, I couldn' t believe it. The girl'
- 1:26s name was Valentina. He had completely black hair and almost transparent white skin.
- 1:34Valentina greeted me and asked me if we could speak privately. I looked
- 1:38at Andrew and he felt it with his head, because although I had never
- 1:42told him that my dream was to belong to that group, he knew it
- 1:47by my way of seeing them every time they walked down the halls. I
- 1:51sat in front of her at another table in the cafeteria and asked her to
- 1:55tell me what was going on in those moments that she was so close to
- 1:59my life for some strange reason. I felt a strange vibe like I was
- 2:05watching a scary movie, but I thought maybe it was Valentina' s nerves.
- 2:10She told me one of her friends was moving out of town, so
- 2:14she' d change schools. So since she and her friends had gotten used
- 2:20to being six, they wanted to know if they wanted to spend the next
- 2:24day with them. He assured me that he seemed very kind to them and
- 2:30they wanted to be my friends. I couldn' t believe it. It
- 2:34was amazing that they noticed me so I clearly agreed Valentina smiled, but her
- 2:39smile didn' t seem sincere and as she smiled back she left after that
- 2:46unexpected conversation with Valentina, I couldn' t help but feel a whirlwind of
- 2:52emotions inside me. I wanted to share the news with my best friend,
- 2:57waiting for his support and enthusiasm. However, finding Andrew and telling him what
- 3:01had happened, his reaction was very different from what he expected. Instead of
- 3:07getting excited or happy for me, Andrew looked at me with disappointment and a
- 3:12smile. Half of his words surprised me, for he warned me that I
- 3:17should not get too close to those people. According to him, he had
- 3:23heard rumours and disturbing comments about the Popular Group. Some claimed that they belonged
- 3:30to a sect or something similar, which would explain the money they seemed to
- 3:35have in abundance, despite their young age and coming from families with medium economic
- 3:39levels andrés shared with me that on weekends, the members of the group frequented
- 3:46the best clubs in the city, wearing clothes from the most exclusive brands,
- 3:52eating in high- class restaurants and wasting money without any qualms. Their suspicion
- 3:59was that r RR might be engaged in illegal or murky activities, as this
- 4:02situation was not normal for young people of our age and economic condition. Although
- 4:09I knew there was some reason in my friend' s words, I decided
- 4:13to take it out of my mind and changed the subject. It was hard
- 4:16for me to accept that something dark would hide behind that group I had admired
- 4:20so much. Andres just turned his eyes and decided to let the matter go.
- 4:26He seemed worried, though. For me, despite Andrew' s warnings,
- 4:30I couldn' t help but feel excited and anxious about the opportunity to
- 4:35spend time with the popular group inside me. I thought maybe this was what
- 4:42I needed to change my life and finally be part of that world I had
- 4:46longed for so much. However, I could not stop thinking about Andrew'
- 4:51s words and the strange feeling that had invaded me by being near Valentina.
- 4:58Still, I decided to go ahead with the invitation and see what was going
- 5:01on. Maybe after all, it was just simple rumors and misunderstandings and there
- 5:08was nothing to worry about? However, in the depths of my heart,
- 5:14a voice told me that I should be careful and alert to what was to
- 5:17come that afternoon, after the surprising conversation with Valentina, I could not help
- 5:25but review over and over again in my mind what it would be like to
- 5:29be part of that group of popular young people. However, I was also
- 5:33assaulted by concerns and insecurities. I was afraid that when I discovered that I
- 5:40didn' t have as much money as they did or that I wasn'
- 5:44t as brilliant and wonderful, they would stop talking to me or reject me,
- 5:50but after discussing internally, I decided that I should give them a chance
- 5:55and trust that there was a reason they wanted to start meeting me. Another
- 5:57concern that tormented me was the idea that leaving my friend Andrew alone hurt me
- 6:00to think that our friendship might be affected by my decision, but deep down
- 6:05I felt that this was a unique opportunity that I could not miss. That
- 6:13night I had a hard time falling asleep, as the excitement of sitting with
- 6:16them the next day at recess was overwhelming and kept me awake when it was
- 6:23almost dawn. I finally fell into a deep sleep, but what was waiting
- 6:29for me was very strange and disturbing. In my dream, Valentina, dressed
- 6:33completely in black, appeared in front of me in a dark and gloomy environment.
- 6:40He held my hand firmly there using a cuter, cut off his palm
- 6:45and then mine, letting blood drops slip away. Then he would join our
- 6:50hands and make a blood covenant. As he smiled with the same hypocritical smile
- 6:56he had used one day before around us. An ominous and oppressive atmosphere shrunk,
- 7:02fueling my growing anxiety. As I woke up I was deeply frightened and
- 7:10bewildered by the nature of the dream, but I decided to attribute it to
- 7:15the fact that I had been overthinking the situation. Still, a sense of
- 7:18fear persisted in my chest. While I was getting ready to go to school.
- 7:24My mind kept wandering wondering if there was any hidden meaning in that vivid
- 7:30and terrifying dream. I came to school with a mixture of nervousness and expectation.
- 7:35With my heart beating fast in my chest, I couldn' t help
- 7:42but look at the popular group as I walked down the halls feeling a knot
- 7:46in my stomach. Every time I saw them. However, every time I
- 7:50watched them, Valentina' s image in my dream returned to my mind,
- 7:56which caused me a sense of fear and discomfort that did not bother me to
- 8:00shake. Meanwhile, Andrew was distant and worried as if he felt something was
- 8:07not entirely right in this new chapter of my life. Although I tried to
- 8:13talk to him and assure him that everything would be fine, I could not
- 8:16help but feel that something was breaking between us, an invisible barrier that was
- 8:22rising slowly. However, I was convinced that I should go ahead with my
- 8:26plan to approach the popular group, trying to ignore the warnings and concerns that
- 8:31were accumulating in my mind. The day passed slowly and every minute seemed eternal.
- 8:39As I eagerly awaited the arrival of recreation, My thoughts continued to wander
- 8:45between emotion, fear, and concern for Andrew. As the time approached,
- 8:50the tension in my chest grew and my breathing became more agitated. Finally,
- 8:58the time came for the recrete. I felt a mixture of anxiety and emotion.
- 9:03As I was heading to the cafeteria. In the distance I could see
- 9:07the popular people sitting at one of the tables as if they were waiting for
- 9:11me. Valentina saw me and raised her hand to greet me, telling me
- 9:18that they were there, despite the apparent cordiality of her gesture, a sense
- 9:22of fear without reason began to grip me with the heart. I quickly turned
- 9:28to them, but with every step I took, fear intensified and a feeling
- 9:35of bad omen began to invade my body. It was as if a dark
- 9:41and invisible force. He was warning me of imminent danger. My steps became
- 9:46heavier and the road to the table seemed to spread more and more as if
- 9:52my destiny were constantly moving away from me. As I approached the table I
- 9:58noticed that the atmosphere around him was strange and oppressive. The noise and bustle
- 10:03of the cafeteria seemed to fade away, leaving in its place a creepy silence
- 10:07hovering over us like a black cloud. The sunlight that entered through the windows
- 10:13seemed more dim as if it were being consumed by the shadows that swirled around
- 10:18the group. When I finally got to the table, I sat carefully trying
- 10:26to hide my growing fear. The other members of the group looked at me
- 10:31with enigmatic expressions, as if they knew something I didn' t know.
- 10:35Their faces once full of life and joy, now seemed strangely pale and empty,
- 10:41as if they lacked something essential. Valentina began to speak, but her
- 10:48voice sounded distorted and distant, as if coming from another world. His words
- 10:54were mixed with incomprehensible whispers, which seemed to come out of nowhere, making
- 10:58me feel ever more distressed. As the conversation continued, I realized that the
- 11:05other members of the group seemed to be speaking in an unknown and sinister language,
- 11:09whose twisted words filled me with terror. The objects around us began to
- 11:16change as if they were being manipulated by invisible forces. The chairs twisted and
- 11:24groaned as if they were alive and trapped in a nightmare. Finally, the
- 11:30shadows on the walls seemed to move and grow in grotesque and threatening ways that
- 11:35looked at me with malice. In spite of the fear that seized me.
- 11:41I tried to keep composure and follow the conversation, but every word I uttered
- 11:46seemed to feed the darkness around us. I felt that I was trapped in
- 11:52a spiral of terror and that with every passing moment I plunged more and more
- 11:56into a bottomless abyss. It all started to go around me and I felt
- 12:01dizzy and disoriented. My vision became blurred and the distorted voices of my new
- 12:07friends resounded in my head like distant echoes. The oppressive atmosphere of the table
- 12:15seemed to intensify and I felt that I was about to lose control. Suddenly,
- 12:20one of the guys in the group gave a loud applause in front of
- 12:24me as he stared at me instantly, my dizziness disappeared and everything went back
- 12:31to normal. For a moment I thought that perhaps the juice I had taken
- 12:35was expired or something, as I had experienced such a strange and disturbing feeling.
- 12:43Everyone at the table acted as if nothing had happened and continued the conversation
- 12:46as if nothing had happened. Out of the ordinary they talked about fashion Valentina
- 12:52' s new dress and her plans for the weekend. They mentioned that they
- 12:58would attend an incredible party and that they would then go to the forest to
- 13:01see the full moon. I felt very uncomfortable when everyone turned to see me
- 13:07at the same time as if they had rehearsed that movement previously with a smile
- 13:13on their faces. They invited me to join them at the party and on
- 13:16the excursion to the forest, assuring me that it would be very fun.
- 13:22Although I felt somewhat insecure, I decided to accept the invitation trying to ignore
- 13:28my concerns. However, as I watched them closely, I realized that their
- 13:33faces seemed demacrated and worn out, as if something within them had taken the
- 13:37vitality away from their eyes. Before bright and lively now they had a strange
- 13:45air of evil. Despite this, I tried to convince myself that it was
- 13:50just my imagination. Playing a bad game. The conversation continued, but my
- 13:56mind continued to wander tormented by the strange sensations I had experienced and the disturbing
- 14:03appearances of my new friends. Deep down, I couldn' t help but
- 14:09wonder if I was making the right decision by agreeing to join them in their
- 14:13nighttime adventures, especially after Andrew' s warnings and the sinister dream I had
- 14:20the night before. With every word we exchanged, the atmosphere around us seemed
- 14:26to become denser and heavier as if it were being invaded by an invisible darkness
- 14:31that adhered to its entire passage. The shadows in the corners of the cafeteria
- 14:37seemed to move and grow as if they were alive and anxious to consume us.
- 14:43As recess came to an end, the laughter and smiles of my new
- 14:46friends began to acquire a macabre and disturbing tone. His laughter resounded in my
- 14:54head like a chorus of ghostly voices, leaving me with a sense of restlessness
- 14:58and terror to be rooted in the depths of my being. The recess came
- 15:03to an end and I said goodbye to my new friends who went to their
- 15:07respective halls. Their smiles did not seem sincere and something in them made me
- 15:13feel restless. Seeing my reflection in a window, I noticed that my own
- 15:18smile also lacked the joy and warmth I used to have. I looked for
- 15:24my friend Andrés and told him everything that had happened during recess, as I
- 15:28had felt dizzy and frightened for no apparent reason and as everything had returned to
- 15:35normal. Suddenly, he listened attentively to his increasingly concerned expression. Andrew suggested
- 15:43that maybe someone had put something in my juice, as it was very strange
- 15:46everything I had experienced. He advised me not to go with the popular on
- 15:52Saturday, arguing that it seemed like a terrible idea, that everything was going
- 15:58very fast and that it didn' t make any sense that they would have
- 16:02looked for me with so many other girls in school, although his words offended
- 16:07me in the background, I knew I was right. However, my desire
- 16:11to remain in that circle of friends and experience life as part of the popular
- 16:15was so intense that I decided to ignore their warnings. I became convinced that
- 16:22my concerns and fears were unfounded and that, deep down, everything would be
- 16:26fine if I simply relaxed and enjoyed the experience. As the week progressed,
- 16:33I became more and more distant from Andrew and closer to the popular. We
- 16:38saw each other in the hallways, we shared laughter and jokes, but there
- 16:45was always that feeling of discomfort lurking in the shadow of my mind. In
- 16:48the nights I had trouble sleeping, as my dream was full of nightmares in
- 16:53which Valentina and the others transformed into monstrous beings who chased me and slowly devoured
- 16:59fear. On Friday night, before the weekend, when I had agreed to
- 17:03join the popular at the party and on the excursion to the forest, I
- 17:07decided to talk to Andrés. Once again, I wanted to apologize for putting
- 17:14him aside and sharing my concerns with him for his support and advice. We
- 17:19met in a café near our houses and I was surprised to see how emaciated
- 17:25and tired it looked. I wondered if he had been worrying about me all
- 17:30this time and if my departure had affected our bond of friendship. When I
- 17:36saw it, my heart was filled with guilt and repentance. I told him
- 17:41my fears, the nightmares that tormented me and the constant feeling of discomfort that
- 17:45accompanied me in every encounter with the popular. Andrew listened to me attentively to
- 17:52his face full of worry and sadness. After a long silence, he told
- 17:56me to think about it well before going with them and that if at any
- 18:00time I felt uncomfortable or in danger, I would not hesitate to get away
- 18:04from that group and return home and return to the friendship relationship we used to
- 18:08have. I expressed gratitude to Andrew for his concern and promised him that he
- 18:15would take his words into account. We said goodbye and each one went home,
- 18:19as a feeling of restlessness continued to grow inside me. That night I
- 18:26lay down early trying to rest before the hectic weekend that was coming. However,
- 18:33the dream did not give me the shelter I expected. Instead he plunged
- 18:38me into a world of horrible nightmares that tormented me until dawn in my dreams.
- 18:45I was in a dark and gloomy place, where there was a sepulchral
- 18:51silence. The air was loaded with a nauseating edour, as if death and
- 18:56decomposition had taken over the environment. In the middle of the darkness he could
- 19:03distinguish a series of candles that emitted a pale and sick light, illuminating a
- 19:07strange altar covered with Sumerian and Arcane symbols. As I approached the altar,
- 19:12I noticed that I was covered with fresh blood dripping slowly to form a puddle
- 19:18on the ground. At the center of the altar was a large open book
- 19:25whose pages appeared to be made of human skin and whose ink appeared to be
- 19:30clotted blood. The symbols and scriptures in the book called me hypnotically, prompting
- 19:34me to read them aloud. As I recited the words, a sense of
- 19:41terror invaded me and the air around me became denser and oppressive. The candles
- 19:47began to burn with a bluish flame and the shadows they projected took grotesque and
- 19:52threatening forms. I could feel the presence of evil and ancient beings crouching in
- 20:00the dark, watching me with malice and waiting for the right time to attack.
- 20:06At that moment, the populars appeared before me dressed in black robes and
- 20:11wearing masks that concealed their emaciated faces. Their voices rose in a gutural and
- 20:17sinister song and their hands held ritual objects covered with blood and arcane symbols.
- 20:23I realized that I had been dragged into a witchcraft ritual and that my soul
- 20:29was being offered as a tribute to unnamed and terrible entities. I tried to
- 20:34run, but my legs didn' t answer and my cries for help were
- 20:40drowning in my throat. The populars continued with their ritual and dark and evil
- 20:45energy began to accumulate around us, trapping me in a vortex of horror and
- 20:51despair. I felt the darkness penetrating into my being devouring my soul and leaving
- 20:57me empty and lost. I woke up soaked in sweat and trembling with fear.
- 21:03The images of the nightmare still vivid in my mind, despite the horrible
- 21:07nightmare, I decided not to give it importance. I convinced myself that everything
- 21:12was the product of my imagination and that there was no point in worrying about
- 21:18nonsense. So I decided to go ahead with the plans to go to the
- 21:23party with my new friends and, if everything went well, maybe even go
- 21:27to the woods with them. I promised myself that if anything went wrong,
- 21:33I' d look for Andres. At eight o' clock I got to
- 21:37the party with the populars. The event was full of wealthy people, but
- 21:42there was something strange in her eyes that made me nervous. However, I
- 21:48decided to ignore that detail and simply enjoy the night. I drank more than
- 21:53I should. I had a lot of fun and was relieved to think that
- 21:57perhaps I had exaggerated my fears when they gave twelve o’ clock at night
- 22:03I told my friends that I should leave, because it was too late and
- 22:10my parents would be worried. They insisted that I accompany them to the forest
- 22:12and, under the influence of alcohol and fun, I ended up agreeing.
- 22:18Upon arriving at the place, I was surprised to see an altar identical to
- 22:22that of my dream. My friends asked me to hold their hands in a
- 22:26circle around the altar. They began to recite words in an unknown and ancient
- 22:33language, while black candles were burning around us. The wind was blowing hard
- 22:38and the atmosphere was becoming heavier and more oppressive. Suddenly I realized that I
- 22:45had fallen into a coven of witches, just like in my terrified nightmare.
- 22:52I let go of my friends' hands and started running away from that place,
- 22:56one of the men caught up with me and told me not to be
- 23:00silly, that if I wanted money, beauty and power, I should agree
- 23:04to join his group of sorcerers. He told me that the devil had appeared
- 23:08in a dream of one of the girls and told them that I was the
- 23:11one. That' s why they scared me, made me sober again and
- 23:18ran like never before in my life. Fortunately, a woman in her car
- 23:23saw me and offered to take me home. I could barely talk, and
- 23:30when I got home, I started to cry disheartenedly. My parents comforted me
- 23:34and my mother slept with me that night to make sure it was okay.
- 23:40The next day I went to Andrew' s house and told him everything that
- 23:45happened. He took me with a healer who lived near his house, who
- 23:48cleaned up my energy and promised me that those sorcerers would never come near me
- 23:53again. Although the experience was terrifying, I learned a valuable lesson about the
- 24:00importance of listening to my friends and my intuition. I realized that appearances can
- 24:04be misleading and that beauty, money and power are not the most important thing
- 24:08in life. This experience taught me to value true friendships and not to let
- 24:17myself be carried away by the desire to fit into a group that seemed perfect.
- 24:21From the outside. I learned not to trust people blindly, especially when
- 24:26my intuition warns me that something is not right. From that moment on,
- 24:30I decided to focus on cultivating authentic relationships and being true to myself, regardless
- 24:37of the circumstances anonymous account
