- 0:17Laugh with us, argue with us, or just wonder what the hell did I
- 0:21just listen to. New episodes come out weekly
- 0:24here. Chaos is guaranteed.
- 0:28All right, Kylie, how do you how do you say your last name?
- 0:30Milliken. Milliken.
- 0:32All right. I think I've been butchering
- 0:33that for a long time. It's OK, all right, I get it.
- 0:36But that's that's pretty tough name though.
- 0:38It's weird. Milliken Yeah, 'cause I just
- 0:40think of military. Yeah, 'cause people pronounce
- 0:42like McMillan, Middleton Milligan McMillan.
- 0:46I'm like sounded out. Like, yeah, there's no Mick in
- 0:49there. No, yeah.
- 0:50Wait, So what is it? Milliken.
- 0:52Milliken. MILLLI.
- 0:56Can, can't. Millie can.
- 0:59You can pronounce it like that, yeah.
- 1:01Yeah, yeah. I was waiting for you to like
- 1:03spelling, be it millikin, MILLIKIN, millikin.
- 1:11See, I still see. I still spelled it right.
- 1:13Got it wrong. So fair.
- 1:18Yeah. Well, welcome.
- 1:19Welcome to the Random Ass Dudes podcast.
- 1:22We have Kylie Millikin. Right.
- 1:27Breakaway Roper. Yes, extraordinaire.
- 1:30Trying yes. Yeah, yeah, well, the we found
- 1:35Kylie off of the Cowboy Channel. She was doing her breakaway rope
- 1:41and stuff and I think you got like 1.9 seconds or something
- 1:49somewhere. I was like, Oh my gosh.
- 1:51That's pretty impressive, actually, yeah.
- 1:53It's very impressive. It's so difficult.
- 1:56Is it very it's a super big mental game, honestly.
- 1:59I mean, like you have to rope like extremely well, don't get
- 2:01me wrong, but your mental game has to be top tier in that whole
- 2:05thing, right? But if, if your mental game is
- 2:07not on queue right there, then you might as well just put your
- 2:11rope away and just like go back to it and then like really think
- 2:13out like what you need to do. Well, and you have to work off
- 2:17the timing of the calf coming out of the chute and then does
- 2:20that also determine the the barrier?
- 2:24Kinda a little bit like definitely like say like a
- 2:28shoulder, you gotta see like the shoulder out and then ribs, you
- 2:31gotta see the ribs out. It's just like the 403 under,
- 2:33201 under. So like, time out.
- 2:37The shoulder of the calf. The rib of the calf.
- 2:40So sometimes even the head, sometimes an ear, OK, sometimes
- 2:43even the nose, even just like or even just like a wiggle, a step,
- 2:47like there's all sorts of things like you got to see because it's
- 2:50all different everywhere else. OK.
- 2:52Holy moly. So gosh, you're looking for a
- 2:55lot when the when they let it out.
- 2:57Yeah, you have to really, like, you go up and like watch a few
- 3:00like before you go and like, OK, like what's the start?
- 3:02What do I got to see? Like what should I do?
- 3:04And like, it's different for everybody because you don't know
- 3:07what cap you're going to get. Yeah, because it's like a random
- 3:09draw. And then if you're up in like
- 3:11the first perf, like you have no idea, you've actually no idea
- 3:15what your cap was going to do. So like you always want to go
- 3:18back by like the last perf, back by slack.
- 3:23So like you enter for your first for the last perf and then your
- 3:27second preference is but slack. You have to explain that.
- 3:31So. I was wait, I was like, I know,
- 3:35I know, I want to ask, but I know for other looking at your,
- 3:37I know you're still looking at your face and.
- 3:40So like, there's either. So when you say perf, what does
- 3:43perf mean? It's the performance.
- 3:44OK, so then so however many performances there are, so like
- 3:48say there's usually two or three.
- 3:49So usually you want you want the last performance.
- 3:51So like you know what your calf does because like they always
- 3:54bring, sometimes they bring half and like a little bit more.
- 3:56So they have those extra calves in case like something goes
- 3:58wrong. And then so you'll, you'll get
- 4:02to see what your calf does in those first one or two
- 4:05performances or even however many there is.
- 4:08So you'll see like you'll text the lady be like, oh, hey, like
- 4:12what's your calf? Do you like, can you send me
- 4:13video? Send it to you?
- 4:15Sometimes they don't and it's really, really aggravating.
- 4:17Really. So they can send you videos like
- 4:20so you can get like a teaser of this calf before you even.
- 4:24And is it of somebody else roping it or is it some of it
- 4:27just coming out of the chute? It's somebody else roping.
- 4:29It oh OK. But like sometimes like what's
- 4:32if there's like say if like there's a like that stock
- 4:35contract or was it another rodeo before?
- 4:37And that calf was there, you can like go back.
- 4:39So there's like a big old piece of paper on this pen board.
- 4:42You can like go back and see what that calf did.
- 4:43Like another rodeo. OK.
- 4:46So the so the calf that you are roping is specifically for you.
- 4:53Basically, yes, you'll get like that random draw, say like I get
- 4:5698. So then you go through it, look
- 4:58on the paper, text the lady, or they either call the lady, be
- 5:02like, hey, what'd your calf do? 98 at this rodeo?
- 5:06Or you can go back like the day before.
- 5:08I'm like, hey, what'd your calf do?
- 5:10I had no idea, I just thought it was just random.
- 5:11Yeah, same. I thought like, because I've
- 5:13seen so my brother-in-law, he's bucked bulls and when he gets
- 5:17his draw, like he just looks in the pen and it's like, all
- 5:21right, that's my bull. And every once in a while, like
- 5:24his buddies or whatever, if anybody has videos or experience
- 5:27on this bull, they'll show it. But like you can do it pre
- 5:29event. That's is it every time.
- 5:32Yep, that's kind of cool. I'm not going to lie.
- 5:34That way you're like it preps you.
- 5:35So have you, do you have your team roped as well?
- 5:39OK. Is it the same way with team
- 5:41roping? Since I've like traveled around
- 5:43with like a bunch of partners and stuff, 'cause that's what we
- 5:45all do. We always like Joel jump and run
- 5:46the rig and just kind of go. That's kind of cool, and it's
- 5:48basically the same way. Oh, OK, it's.
- 5:50Exactly the same way. Holy moly, I didn't know that
- 5:53that makes it like so cause I've been I've so I've only been in
- 5:57like this life for like the last two years.
- 6:00I've been riding for like 2 years and I just started getting
- 6:02into barrels. But even before getting into
- 6:04barrels, I was like, I want to rope.
- 6:07Like I've been roping the dummy. Like I pretty decent, but I
- 6:11would love to rope. I love the idea of breakaway.
- 6:14And so it's just, it's fascinating.
- 6:17I was super, I was a little geeked out when we had like
- 6:21confirmed that you were coming on and my husband was like, why
- 6:23don't you come in? So I love getting to learn
- 6:27about. This it's so much fun.
- 6:28How long? How long have you been doing the
- 6:31breakaway roping? Ever since like 4th grade.
- 6:34Really. Wow.
- 6:35Been a very, very long time. So have you grown up with horses
- 6:38and stuff? Yep, I've been riding ever since
- 6:40I can remember. Really.
- 6:42And now since the 4th grade. So you don't remember a third
- 6:45second. I'm just joking.
- 6:50But it's it's hard. It's super difficult.
- 6:53Like you have to have a super good horse now, like back when I
- 6:55was little, like we can just have like a little rezzer and
- 6:58like be it'll be fine nowadays. Like you have to have a super
- 7:01good horse that's that's going to leave the box hard, that's
- 7:03going to stop hard, that's going to run hard to cattle.
- 7:05Like if you don't have one of those anymore, like.
- 7:09How many horses you got? I have two of my own.
- 7:11Two of your own. And do you rope on both of them?
- 7:14Yes, yeah. That's and that's all they do.
- 7:17That's all they do. I mean, like you can like team
- 7:19up on them too, everything. But like, they're just strictly
- 7:21rope horses. Now, is that all you do though
- 7:23as far as like doing the horse stuff is just roping, you know,
- 7:27like trail ride? Or yeah, we'll take them out and
- 7:29like pony them out there and just let them kind of get the
- 7:32get the desert and everything like, but I don't really do any
- 7:35other events really. I mean, like I'll tootle around
- 7:37on the barrels every once in a while, but like.
- 7:40Breakaways you're saying? Yeah, that's gosh, I really love
- 7:43the idea and ever since I've been watching it I really wish
- 7:46they would make it. Cause in the MNFR it's not
- 7:48technically no, which is which is I think in my opinion, so
- 7:52stupid. 'Cause it's ridiculous.
- 7:53They just keep on making up every freaking excuse in the
- 7:55book. Like we don't, we don't have
- 7:57enough pens for it. We don't have enough like live.
- 8:00Like what's the word, the screen time for it basically which.
- 8:05Is insane to me because it's on one.
- 8:08It's on gosh, what time? Like it's comes on at a certain
- 8:11time like. 7 or. 6 right start like push your interviews 'cause
- 8:16I can't imagine it goes very long it.
- 8:18Goes until like 10. Right.
- 8:20So, but even like the like the breakaway event itself, if you
- 8:24have a group of ladies or whoever, I mean, I'm not gonna
- 8:27count out, count out the men, but I've never seen a guy
- 8:30breakaway room before. But you figure it like I feel
- 8:34like they plow through barrels. It takes longer to run a barrel
- 8:39pattern than it does to break away, especially if you're doing
- 8:42it at the NFR level. Yeah, because that's from like
- 8:461.9 to like 3.5 seconds. I mean, it's the National Finals
- 8:50Rodeo, Yeah. Why would you not have that?
- 8:52Seriously, it's like one of the biggest thing, especially now in
- 8:56the last couple years, it's been growing so much.
- 8:58Yeah. Like growing.
- 9:00It's wild. The fact that it isn't, I was, I
- 9:02was convinced after, I think it was last year, I was seeing all
- 9:06kinds of posts like about with some bigger names.
- 9:11One of the guys that I followed like Nick Luciano with
- 9:13Trotterhouse, him and all of his crew.
- 9:15And then there was a couple other crews that were like put
- 9:18breakaway in the NFR. And there was so much like
- 9:21controversy over it last year that I was convinced that maybe
- 9:24that this year they would get it put in there.
- 9:26But no. Well, I'm sure it'll probably
- 9:28take a couple years. Probably these things are.
- 9:31Planned out. And they have to, I'm sure have
- 9:33to get like, yeah, the. Well, now you're the stock for
- 9:37it. Well, the stock the space,
- 9:39because now you're going to be adding screen time.
- 9:41Yeah, a lot more athletes to it, you know.
- 9:43The screen time thing kills me because what?
- 9:46It's not like it's on cable. OK but you know what they could
- 9:49do is still do it but just release it on like YouTube or?
- 9:54Yeah, right. I mean if they have their own
- 9:57social. Media, just so many spaces.
- 9:59We're just trying to help you because clearly you are roping
- 10:02at the NFR level. I wish it'd be so cool.
- 10:06Well, OK, so so I went. So I went back on your Instagram
- 10:11post and I saw all your, all your what do you call them
- 10:15performances. Yeah, like performances runs.
- 10:19Runs, right. OK, So like you're throwing at
- 10:22like one second, 2 1/2 seconds, right?
- 10:27That's like that's pretty, that's top notch, isn't it?
- 10:31Like that's professional level. It's I try to be like as much as
- 10:34I can, like I really, I guess I want everything perfect, Never
- 10:37my run. I mean, like, it's not going to
- 10:38go perfect every run, but like I really try to strive for like it
- 10:41being perfect. Like like my horse breaking the
- 10:44pin perfectly, like me, like really just follow through with
- 10:47my rope. My loop's gonna be pretty.
- 10:48Like I just want everything to be good, right?
- 10:53I don't know, just like, just like watching you do it and it's
- 10:55just so. It's like swift.
- 10:58I'm jealous. Yeah, same.
- 10:59Like I would love to do it and I like my horse is like I have an
- 11:03ex rope horse, which God bless. I do not want to swing a rope on
- 11:07her. She will just take off on me.
- 11:08I've been running the barrel pattern on her, which is fine.
- 11:12But like we've got I've got a six year old that I can swing a
- 11:16rope on, but she's never seen a cow.
- 11:19And then we have like a four year old at my house that I
- 11:21think would be a incredible either heal or breakaway
- 11:26prospect. He's never seen a cow either,
- 11:28but I think I think that he could do it.
- 11:31He is like a super, super hard stop.
- 11:33And I'm like, man, I need to like, we, we, I need to get in
- 11:36front of a cow. Not that I'm going to be roping
- 11:39anything off of it, because I've only roped the dummy.
- 11:42Yeah, but I think that I want to do it.
- 11:44I want to do it so bad, but I need a.
- 11:46Bunch of free range cows. And yeah, but I need to, I need
- 11:49a horse to do it on, right? Like one that knows what they're
- 11:52doing because mine get confused. Mine get.
- 11:54Confused. They're like, what are you like
- 11:56what is happening here? I don't know what's going on.
- 11:59Your your two horses that you have, did you train them or did
- 12:02you get them from somebody that trained them or?
- 12:05I got my big sorrel horse fish from Riley Cameron.
- 12:09I've known him ever since. I was like knee high to
- 12:11grasshopper. I bought him from him whenever
- 12:15he was a four year old and like he did everything with him.
- 12:18Well, whenever he first got him, he had like 30 days on him.
- 12:21So then Riley did everything else.
- 12:22OK. And that was Riley Local.
- 12:24Yeah, he's like the my family friend.
- 12:25He's basically like, they're like my second family.
- 12:27I love them to death. Where?
- 12:29Where does where does he live at?
- 12:30Morristown. Morristown, OK, just down the
- 12:33road. Right down the road.
- 12:34Is that his profession? Does he train horses?
- 12:36Yep, He trains horses and then I train horses out of his his
- 12:39facility. So we're like, we just want to
- 12:41work together. It's a lot of fun.
- 12:43He's a super, super good human. And how old's fish now?
- 12:46He's 5 now. Oh.
- 12:47So he's only been a year and then what about your other one?
- 12:50Well I'm fixing the butt. I have a 2 year old right now
- 12:53but I'm going to sell her and then buy this 3 year old.
- 12:55OK. I got this 2 year old, she had
- 12:57six rides on her six or seven rides.
- 12:59Now she has 13 rides now. So I just haven't been really
- 13:03able to get to her and it makes me a little angry.
- 13:06But I want to buy this little 3 year old I've been roping off of
- 13:08her. She's really cool, really really
- 13:10Pretty Little black mare. So I'm super, super excited.
- 13:14That's awesome. Well, I'm excited for you.
- 13:16Gosh, because here I was thinking like you had these 15
- 13:18year olds. No.
- 13:20So this is something too that always interests me.
- 13:23So as far as roping goes, like at what age do you guys start to
- 13:27retire those horses from from roping?
- 13:30Honestly, it just depends how like fit the horses and like how
- 13:34they're performing. And like if they're getting sore
- 13:35after the round, it's like man, like maybe it's time to like, we
- 13:39had this one horse, he was like 2120 years old and like this
- 13:42horse was perfect shape, still like doing great.
- 13:46But then like McMahon, he's he's pretty old.
- 13:49So we should probably like, yeah, actually retire him.
- 13:52Oh man, 'cause I always find that interesting too because
- 13:54like for instance, like raining raining horses, they retire
- 13:58those horses at like 6 or 7. To him.
- 14:01Well, they're so hard on him. I saw that over there too.
- 14:04I know I'm. So embarrassed for you right
- 14:06now. My daughter's over here.
- 14:09And he didn't even say. Six or seven and my daughter was
- 14:11like 6-7. I see the like.
- 14:14So you just said I'm like man, and.
- 14:16It didn't even occur to me because that's not my.
- 14:18That's not my number, my #1738. Yeah, yes.
- 14:23What's that from? It's Fetty Wap.
- 14:25Yeah, Fetty Wap. I'm like, hey, what's up?
- 14:27Oh. I don't know the.
- 14:31Rest of the song, What's it? Oh, it's called Trap Queen.
- 14:34Yes, that's the song. Sometimes I have to like get
- 14:36into a few other words to even come up with the title.
- 14:39Definitely Shane doesn't know the lyrics to any.
- 14:42I don't know. I got him yesterday.
- 14:43Pretty good, really. I did.
- 14:45Have you seen on social media the trend where they do the Mary
- 14:48J Blige song and it's like, hey, I got a question for you.
- 14:50Yes, OK. I did that to him and I stressed
- 14:54him out so much. Yeah, it was pretty great.
- 14:57I love. That, yeah.
- 14:58And I knew I could get it out here.
- 15:01Building my fence, I was wearing gloves, right?
- 15:04So I put so to, you know, she texts me, I'd take the glove off
- 15:09and then text her back, put it back on.
- 15:12She texts me again, take my glove off.
- 15:15Like that's a lot of time. That's a lot of time taking my
- 15:17damn glove off and bring it back on.
- 15:20He's like, I'm trying to do my fence and I kind of take my
- 15:22glove off and it's getting wistful.
- 15:27I know. Yeah, I was trying to say
- 15:29wasteful. But I know and then the way you
- 15:31spelt it, Kayla, my stepdaughter, she had like
- 15:35responded to like the story that I had reposted of me doing that
- 15:39to him and she goes wasteful is crazy 'cause he spelt it with
- 15:42like waste WAIS. That's awesome.
- 15:48No. Well, do spell check man.
- 15:51Yeah, we're spelling. Yeah, he's spelling Bee Chain.
- 15:53Auto auto text. Yeah, no kidding.
- 15:56Yeah. I I'm convinced that no like
- 15:59none of us know how to spell anymore because of autocorrect
- 16:02Yes, the amount of times I have to sound out a word and then
- 16:05like I don't know how to spell it and the.
- 16:07Autocorrect will help. So bad because yeah, it's so bad
- 16:11that I'm spelling it so incorrectly that autocorrect
- 16:14can't even get it for me. Yeah.
- 16:15Natalie's pretty smart because she'll do the speaker.
- 16:19Nana's my wife. She'll do the speaker and she'll
- 16:22say it and then it'll. See, and I don't.
- 16:24I always forget about that feature.
- 16:25Sometimes I do that, but sometimes it's Google it.
- 16:27It doesn't get my word right so I had to Google it.
- 16:29Yeah, I'm like, how do you spell?
- 16:31Right. Literally how do you spell this?
- 16:34And then every once in a while, because I don't use very big
- 16:37words or could. You imagine if Google was a
- 16:38person. Oh my gosh.
- 16:40Google's probably so tired of me.
- 16:41Yeah, ChatGPT be so tired of me. There was.
- 16:44I asked it the other morning if goat cheese went with eggs
- 16:49'cause I need to make sure that the flavors went good.
- 16:51I'm like, I know for a fact I've had like a crepe with goat
- 16:54cheese, but like, not an egg. But anyways, I ChatGPT D it and
- 16:59it was so slow to respond to me that I was like, man, ChatGPT be
- 17:04so tired of my nonsense that I'd be that I'm asking it every
- 17:08single day. Yeah.
- 17:09Every time I go to sell a horse, I'm like, OK, 2 year old.
- 17:13They was like pushed it in. I'm like, oh, like look at the
- 17:15list. I'm like perfect.
- 17:16Yeah, they're gonna type anything in it's.
- 17:19Great, no serious. And I love it too when people
- 17:21are like, hey, this is the description of my horse.
- 17:23And then they put it like on the Facebook post that they're
- 17:26selling. There was one.
- 17:27It was so funny 'cause it was, I guess it was like a lazy horse
- 17:30and they're like, you want this horse to be smart.
- 17:34Well, I this isn't the horse for you.
- 17:37Do you want your horse to just Mosey or something like that
- 17:41like this is the horse for it was like this whole two to three
- 17:45paragraph description of how like they were just trying and
- 17:48I'm like this is the best sale ad it's.
- 17:50Almost like Liz are being honest.
- 17:51About yeah, that's like. That's basically top tier.
- 17:54Seriously. Well, what's like, what's like
- 17:56crazy is like hearing about all the people that do sell horses
- 18:01and they lie. Oh yeah, horse traders.
- 18:03Horse traders. Are super super big thing
- 18:05traders? Yes, horse traders like so
- 18:08there's a sale from Billings, Mt they do.
- 18:12So there's a loose horse pen and there's a catalog sale.
- 18:14So the catalog sales were like you like send your horses and
- 18:17send videos like and like you'll get a hit number.
- 18:19Show them, sell them like say they can like show them like in
- 18:22the preview. And then you'll take them to a
- 18:24sale ring and sell them for however much they bring the
- 18:26loose horses. You'll just send them in the
- 18:29sale loose nothing. No description.
- 18:32No. Well.
- 18:33Sometimes, like they do have a description, like sometimes, and
- 18:37that is so many freaking horses. I have like people like who go
- 18:41out there with like little Snapples and just get on
- 18:44bareback. Nothing really.
- 18:46It's a blast to see for sure. Yeah.
- 18:48Like my favorite childhood memories, definitely going up
- 18:50there and seeing that. But like people have gone dirty,
- 18:54bucked off because like they'll put new shoes on them, they'll
- 18:58put the braid, their mains and tails, like they're all nice
- 19:01and. Bright.
- 19:02No, Psych. Yeah, psych for sure, because a
- 19:06lot, a lot of horse like horse killers, like horse killer
- 19:09buyers will go up there. A lot of horse traders will go
- 19:11up there because, like, it's Billings.
- 19:14So is it like a auction or is it more auction?
- 19:17Gotcha. It's wild.
- 19:18You guys will have to like look it up and like, I mean, it's
- 19:20pretty cool. Like a lot of horses like have
- 19:22like sold really good there, right?
- 19:24Sometimes it's not very good. It just kind of depends on the
- 19:26year. So it's a it's a really good
- 19:28sale. Do me wrong.
- 19:30Like a lot of horses, like a lot of super nice horses do go
- 19:32through there. But then it was like, man, that
- 19:34is a traitor horse. You can just tell because like
- 19:36the description's like kind of short and like you can tell it.
- 19:39They don't know anything about it.
- 19:40Like riding around. It's like is most likely a
- 19:43traitor horse. Now, earlier you said that you
- 19:46do train horses. Now do you train them?
- 19:50Like will you take any type of horse or do?
- 19:52You as long as they're not going to dirty buck me off right, I
- 19:55will take them as long as they're not going to kill me or
- 19:57do anything like I will take them in because like I have a
- 19:59horse in right now that this guy just wants to break with his for
- 20:02his family friends that need like a breakaway horse.
- 20:05He's like, man, like I just want you to break away on her so they
- 20:07can have a horse because they're living out on the ranch and they
- 20:10just don't have the time to make one like.
- 20:12Then like the facility to make one.
- 20:14Really. So like, hey, can you just make
- 20:16a way on his horse? Like just make her nice.
- 20:17So that's what I'm doing. OK this.
- 20:20Is a lot of fun, I like it a lot.
- 20:22Yeah. Do you like to start from with
- 20:24them being at like a super young age or do you want them a little
- 20:27bit more mature? Definitely.
- 20:29Like my favorite age is like 3 or 4 'cause like they're still
- 20:32learning, they're still growing, but like they still have an open
- 20:34mind. Someone keeps going.
- 20:38Stop it, we're doing a podcast. I know, gosh.
- 20:42They're so stupid. Like this is important stuff,
- 20:44this. Is really important.
- 20:46Who was ever calling her stop? It's actually my really good
- 20:50friends. Really good, yeah.
- 20:52Her name is Kalia Medarios, she's from Hawaii.
- 20:55She's one of my really good buddies, okay?
- 20:58It's a beautiful name. Oh yeah, she's very pretty.
- 21:00She's such a good Roper. She's like when I'm like,
- 21:02really? Good.
- 21:03Wait, she's Hawaiian? She's Hawaiian.
- 21:05They got horses in. Hawaii.
- 21:06Oh yeah. Oh.
- 21:07Really. Yeah, they get down like.
- 21:08That they rope over there. Doesn't say, yeah, that's great.
- 21:10So is there like a lot of rodeos out there?
- 21:13There's like quite a few 'cause it always blows my mind.
- 21:15And this is, I know that sounds so stupid, but it always blows
- 21:17my mind 'cause I've seen Hawaii on like, you know, when did.
- 21:21You say right though Hawaii. Hawaii.
- 21:23Hawaii. Was it Hawaii?
- 21:25Hawaii, Yeah. Anyways, on like the Cowboy
- 21:30Channel or whatever, I'm watching and every once in a
- 21:33while I'll see Hawaii and I'm like.
- 21:35It's Hawaii. Really.
- 21:36Yeah, There's, there's one calf Roper, I think he's from Hawaii.
- 21:40OK. All right.
- 21:41Well, she can call you then you should you next time she calls
- 21:44you just answer and then like just put the speaker up on
- 21:47there. I can.
- 21:48Yeah. When she calls, when she calls
- 21:50you again, I can call her back. She'd be like, what are you
- 21:52doing? Yeah, you could do.
- 21:53That. Yeah, do that, yeah.
- 21:55This is the first time we're doing this.
- 21:58She texted me and said, brother, are you alive?
- 22:00I called you like 25 times. Oh my God, call her and tell her
- 22:03that you're in some like random person's trailer, right?
- 22:05OK, OK. I'll put her on speaker.
- 22:07OK? Yeah.
- 22:08Brother. What are you?
- 22:14What are you doing? What the fuck?
- 22:18I'm in some random person's trailer.
- 22:20What? Yeah the fuck.
- 22:24Just kidding, I'm doing a podcast.
- 22:27Hi friend. Hey, how are you?
- 22:29You're you're on the podcast. Oh.
- 22:32Hi, guys. Hey, how's Hawaii?
- 22:35I was. Wondering I was just.
- 22:40Wondering if you're going to the Breakaway tonight?
- 22:42Nope. Nope.
- 22:42Was it? What's today?
- 22:42Oh no, Dunn's negative. No the bar.
- 22:46No, the bar's on Friday. Oh, there, there is one tonight.
- 22:50Today's What's Today? Today's the 11th.
- 22:54It is. Tuesday.
- 22:56Yeah. Tuesday.
- 22:57No, I'm going to go to the one on Friday.
- 23:00Are you going to Waikiki? Yeah, bro, Heck yeah brought up.
- 23:06I told them that you called, that you were from Hawaii.
- 23:09We we wanted to say hi. Yeah, we didn't know there was.
- 23:14Roper like ropers. In.
- 23:15Hawaii, Yeah. Oh yeah, there's a bunch.
- 23:20Mm hmm, there's quite a few. Do you go out there quite often
- 23:24to do that? Oh.
- 23:25Absolutely not. That's a far drive, huh?
- 23:30Yeah man, I can't even imagine the the Emirates flight for your
- 23:36horse to get out there. Emirates I think is with elders
- 23:40shift. The horse up, he's on the boat
- 23:42right now and then he flies out on a different island.
- 23:45Oh my. God, I don't know if you're
- 23:47being serious or you're joking with us.
- 23:50No, I'm being like 1000% honest. For real.
- 23:54So you have a horse on a boat right now?
- 23:56Yeah, he's on the barge. He's he'll be on it overnight.
- 24:00And then he flies out of Oahu and he'll be in here.
- 24:04He'll he lands in California tomorrow.
- 24:07Your horse has a flight out of Oahu.
- 24:12Yeah, first class. Damn that horse, Meg.
- 24:17I'm not even joking though. I you know what, when you say
- 24:20that, I just think about like all the poop and the pee, like
- 24:26that's a lot of work on. The.
- 24:28Plane, yeah. Has to be.
- 24:32Holy. So then do you have to go to
- 24:34California to get it? Yeah.
- 24:37Yeah, no, she'll probably leave it there.
- 24:39Shut up Shane. I didn't know if somebody was
- 24:41like hauling it to her or bless America.
- 24:47All right, buddy, we'll have fun at the bar.
- 24:48Let me know how it goes. Hey, rope's so good.
- 24:52It was nice chit chatting with you.
- 24:53Nice. Talking to you guys.
- 24:55Bye. Guys, hey, hey, just make sure
- 24:57you go follow random ass dudes podcast on Spotify and on
- 25:03Instagram and TikTok. I don't know, I'm starting it
- 25:05out there. Let your friends know too, you
- 25:08know, all right? Bye buddy all.
- 25:11Right, Bye bye. Just like.
- 25:15What the hell is going on? She's.
- 25:16Like why did you tell me that before?
- 25:18She's like what the fuck? I'm so happy we did that.
- 25:20I. Know she's pretty cool.
- 25:21I love her to death. She sounds cool.
- 25:23Oh my, her horse is flying in. I know that is crazy.
- 25:28So does she during the summertime?
- 25:30Does she head out there? Or Nope, she stays like over in
- 25:33this general area. Gotcha.
- 25:35Yeah. She'll go up like around this
- 25:38side of the States. OK.
- 25:40Are you from Wickenburg? I'm originally from Wyoming.
- 25:43You're from Wyoming originally, yes.
- 25:44OK. How long did you live in Wyoming
- 25:46for So. I was like second grade. 2nd
- 25:48grade. Yep, then I moved here.
- 25:50OK. And do you stay here year round
- 25:51or do? You.
- 25:52I try to travel in the summers. Yeah.
- 25:53Like how? Would I do that so bad?
- 25:55It's I want to get out of here in the summer.
- 25:57Do we? It's so I just don't know.
- 26:00So you're like fully dedicated in this, Yes, right.
- 26:05Like you, this is your, this is your life.
- 26:08This is my life. This isn't a hobby.
- 26:10This is like. And it's what you do like for a
- 26:12living, yes. What are your like?
- 26:13Where do you see yourself in like the next five years or
- 26:17where do you want to be in like the next five years with this?
- 26:19I do want to have like a super nice place.
- 26:21Like definitely. It doesn't have to be like the
- 26:23shiniest thing in the world, but like I wanna have super nice
- 26:26horses, super good outside horses and this be like have a
- 26:29super good business, right? That's all I want.
- 26:31And business as in like training?
- 26:33Training and then like having outside horses and having like
- 26:36my own good horses and then like maybe producing breakaway
- 26:39jackpots even though cows are. Expensive right now.
- 26:44It's freaking. Ridiculous.
- 26:45It's wild. I was looking at like entry fees
- 26:47for stuff like that. It's, it's insane.
- 26:50It's really so it's insane. Yeah, I, yeah, 'cause I mean,
- 26:53gosh, I can't remember who I was talking about it with the other
- 26:55day. I think it was with Nate and
- 26:58some of our friends and they were talking about like entry
- 27:02fees. And Nate was like, yeah, the
- 27:04entry fees aren't bad. Like, and I was like for
- 27:06barrels, entry fees for the barrel, like the little jackpots
- 27:09that I've been doing. Not terrible, however you get in
- 27:12into like team roping, you get into anything with the with the
- 27:16cattle. Yeah, it's super expensive.
- 27:18I saw like a team pinning event going on I think this weekend
- 27:23and it's like 250 bucks a person, which is insane to me.
- 27:28Yeah, yeah, like that's. Crazy.
- 27:30There's one out in the Gila right now.
- 27:32We don't come around. They're super good cattle.
- 27:33But like in the first show that there's just like one or two
- 27:36breakaway jackpots. Like there's usually like a warm
- 27:38up one or like and then like the open and the open was like I
- 27:42think 120 I run, I think, but it was 5050% payback.
- 27:48Wow, which is ridiculous. I think in my thing and like the
- 27:54next one was like a 35% cattle cattle charge Holy, and the
- 27:58entries were 180 good. That's.
- 28:00Gracious, yeah. So what?
- 28:01So what do you think the the payout should be?
- 28:05Honestly, just make it fair for the ropers because like we do
- 28:08all this driving, it is hard to have all those cabs.
- 28:11It's expensive. So, so expensive right now.
- 28:14But look, we drive everywhere. We take our horses everywhere.
- 28:17Like diesel's, not like cheap trailers aren't cheap trucks
- 28:19aren't cheap tires. Everywhere, I was going to say
- 28:21and on the trailers. And you guys are the IT, right?
- 28:26Like if you're the, we're there. Yeah.
- 28:29Yeah, like. Without you guys, there is no
- 28:31breakaway. Yeah, with all of us, Yeah, I
- 28:33think producing your own jackpot would be pretty cool.
- 28:35It is. It looks like a lot of it's
- 28:36definitely going to be stressful, but like.
- 28:39It would be kind of. How does that look?
- 28:42It's definitely going to be difficult.
- 28:44I mean you got to get the the space.
- 28:46The space. The cattle.
- 28:48The speakers someone to like run the show.
- 28:51Basically flagger. Gotta get a podcast there.
- 28:54Gotta get a podcast there. Duh, you're set up.
- 28:56You. Already know?
- 28:57Yeah, right. You already know.
- 28:58Yeah, she knows who exactly who she's calling.
- 29:01Yes, I do. Like, hey, Joe, Joe Rogan.
- 29:03Hey, doll, let me come over here right now.
- 29:07That's crazy. It's.
- 29:09It's huge, yeah. Especially breakaway.
- 29:11It's growing so. Freaking it is, yeah.
- 29:13Like the $1,000,000 breakaway will go like over in Scottsdale.
- 29:16I wanted to ask, are you going to are you entering I?
- 29:18Entered last year and this year I opened.
- 29:20That's awesome. Yeah, Nate and I are going.
- 29:22OK, We're going on Friday. We saw the Yeah, I saw the
- 29:27Instagram videos that you posted from last year.
- 29:30Yeah. How many how many times did were
- 29:34you? Are you able to actually do
- 29:37rope? So you'll pay 500 at first.
- 29:40So you get you're guaranteed your 3 calves.
- 29:44So if you do good, you'll make it back to semifinals.
- 29:46Good. Then you're going to pay another
- 29:48750. Damn.
- 29:49Yeah, it's wait. So 3 calves, is that for the all
- 29:52weekend or is that for each day? That's for, that's for the,
- 29:55that's for the qualifier. So you have to qualify to get in
- 29:58the $1,000,000 breakaway. Gotcha.
- 29:59They have one here and in Oklahoma, OK.
- 30:02And so then, yeah, you have to go like the qualifier, which is
- 30:06500 for the three Cavs. We wait around.
- 30:08Oh, freaking day. Like it took.
- 30:11We were there from probably 6:30 in the morning to like midnight.
- 30:15Holy cow. Yeah.
- 30:17So you're not lying when you say mental, right?
- 30:19Like it's mental. It's like 1 girl go like one
- 30:22night and they're like, man, I got to beat that.
- 30:24Like because like they'll take so they take top 10 from each
- 30:27round and then they take, I forget how they did it, but like
- 30:33they take so they take 80 back from Oklahoma, like 80 girls and
- 30:36then they'll take 40 back from here to make it to like 2 of the
- 30:40semifinals. So it's it's really hard to
- 30:43explain. I'm still like confused about
- 30:44it, honestly. I did it last year.
- 30:47So they'll take back so many girls in each round and in the
- 30:50average. So like, because y'all 3 in like
- 30:52pretty good times. Like you'll make it back to the
- 30:54like in the average. So you'll do that.
- 30:56You up all your calves if you don't make it back to the
- 30:58semifinals and you go home. We'll next year.
- 31:01But like I made it to the semifinals luckily on my very
- 31:04last calf because I finally drew a good one because like I drew 2
- 31:07freaking runners on the first one on the 1st 2.
- 31:09And like it was just kind of a drawing contest there and like
- 31:12getting out good. It's really, really hard to get
- 31:14out good because like you don't want to turn them, turn on the
- 31:16barrier, but you don't want to get out ran.
- 31:19I almost got around like twice. So not fun in that general area.
- 31:23But like I made it back to the semifinals.
- 31:24I made two good solid runs, but they just weren't fast enough.
- 31:27And then my third one, I just whacked them.
- 31:33I got I got really good, but like fish was still pretty green
- 31:37in that area, which is like they're still not finished
- 31:41completely because he was still a four year old.
- 31:43Like really he's like he's been everywhere but didn't really
- 31:46wasn't finished like all the way.
- 31:47You still finish, but like not there.
- 31:50And I just did not do my job, which sucked because I maybe
- 31:55possibly could have made it back but very some chance.
- 31:58When you move to the semi final finals do you win money?
- 32:04You can yes. So they take top ten and then
- 32:07they only pay 8 and I was nine yeah, I was like a walk and they
- 32:12were happy. I'm like, I'm like yeah,
- 32:14Jeremiah happy ass wreck right back around and walk out.
- 32:16That's. Dope.
- 32:16Damn, that's that. Sucks.
- 32:18I'm like so yeah. Cuz like what was like was
- 32:21leading it I think was a 19 and then I was like a 29.
- 32:25There's a huge. Difference right there.
- 32:27Holy and it so is 1 Is the 193 your fastest?
- 32:31My fastest run on fish is a 1/7. Oh wow, that's really good.
- 32:37Is that who you're going to run on the $1,000,000 breakaway?
- 32:39Yes, I'm excited to go to that. It's even like if you go on the
- 32:43days of like the qualifier and like the semifinals, that's
- 32:46pretty sure. It's like free I think.
- 32:48To go watch, I don't know, I had to pay so maybe it's it's an
- 32:53evening thing. Oh yeah, during like the.
- 32:56When when is this? It's Thanksgiving week, so it's
- 32:59it's on Thanksgiving Friday and Saturday.
- 33:02The Thanksgiving's on the 27th this year, yeah.
- 33:04And then that's on the 24th. The $1,000,000 breakaway
- 33:06qualifier is on the. 20 Oh, the qualifier is on the 24th, but
- 33:09the actual like event isn't that we the end of that week
- 33:13something like. That yeah.
- 33:14OK, I have to look up the dates again.
- 33:15Yeah, cuz so that's what you're roping in.
- 33:17This is a qualifier to hopefully get into the.
- 33:19Semifinals and then hopefully into the actual $1,000,000
- 33:22breakaway. OK.
- 33:23And winner and wins the semi finals.
- 33:26I think the next day. OK, so that whole week is just
- 33:30you're gonna be roping. Roping.
- 33:31Yeah. Yeah, not the whole week.
- 33:33Well, half the week or I mean, and if she get when she like,
- 33:37qualifies to get into the $1,000,000 breakaway, then yeah,
- 33:39she'll be roping like all week. Well, yeah, so you are gonna be
- 33:42roping all. I hope so, no.
- 33:44You are manifesting it for you, yes.
- 33:48You can do it. You can do it so but yeah, it's
- 33:54I love it. It's such a hard sport, but like
- 33:56it definitely will humble like the shit out of you.
- 33:58It will humble you in every single way because it's.
- 34:02I love getting to hear that from like the other person because
- 34:06obviously when you're on social media or you're watching it live
- 34:09or whatever, obviously if there's a good run, you're like,
- 34:12damn, like that looks easy. But like there's, I didn't
- 34:15realize the amount of like all of the things that you have to
- 34:19take into consideration, especially with the calf and the
- 34:22way that it's moving out of the chute.
- 34:24And like at the $1,000,000 breakaway, so they call it Shoot
- 34:26John. So whatever runs up in the chute
- 34:28is yours. Like, you can sit down there and
- 34:30like watch all the calves go through like a lot of girls do.
- 34:32And that's what I should do. But I like to sit.
- 34:35I like to sit and yap. Not very good at me, but I like
- 34:39to sit and yap. It just makes my nerves go down,
- 34:42right, Right. I feel like I would start to
- 34:43overthink it if I watched too much.
- 34:46Yeah, I do. So that's why I have to sit
- 34:47there and yap and drink something and eat something or
- 34:50else if I don't eat at them at all, I can't.
- 34:53My nerves get too. Yeah, you're just nervous.
- 34:57So then maybe we do go to the qualifier, we just show up with
- 35:00some foods. You're like, hey, this is for.
- 35:03You like I'm looking for Kylie Milliken eating.
- 35:07What we'll do? Do you know where she is?
- 35:08I have an idea. OK, what is it?
- 35:10All right, we'll take some meat, we'll grind it up, we'll put it
- 35:13in a water balloon, and we'll just throw it at her face.
- 35:16Yeah, hopefully. Like it, it just gets in.
- 35:19Yes, yeah, OK. It's like, it's like a
- 35:20teppanyaki style. Yeah, yeah, like.
- 35:23Because I feel like if we just come and give her food, she's
- 35:25like, no. No, Yeah, you.
- 35:27Gotta like hit you in the face. Yeah, OK.
- 35:29You gotta hit you in the face, yeah.
- 35:30What the heck? Yeah, All right.
- 35:32Cool. Yeah, exactly.
- 35:34I mean, all right. It's a pretty good plan.
- 35:36Pretty. Good.
- 35:36I think it's a pretty good. Do you have aim?
- 35:39You have aim like how's your aim?
- 35:41I don't. First, your aim is not great.
- 35:43No, it is. You've never even seen me.
- 35:45Throw. I've seen you throw a rope.
- 35:48Can I tell you a story? I'm not throwing a rope, I'm
- 35:50throwing a water ball. I know, but.
- 35:52OK, Well, Shane almost killed me.
- 35:54OK, So we when when when did you almost kill me?
- 35:58I don't know. All right.
- 35:59Well, listen, you're gonna your memory is gonna be boom.
- 36:03Yeah. All right.
- 36:04We'll see. You ready?
- 36:05Go. All right.
- 36:05So the end of September, we threw his wife Natalie a
- 36:09birthday party. He remembers now.
- 36:11OK, Remembers now. We throw some pretty good
- 36:14parties at my house. Didn't like they've been,
- 36:16they're pretty fun. Well, everybody pretty much
- 36:19leaves and it's just like my family and your family.
- 36:23I think a couple other people maybe we end up in my arena and
- 36:29we've been drinking for a few hours.
- 36:30We just start, we have the dummies out and we're roping
- 36:32those and all of a sudden we start roping feet.
- 36:37Oh, the the the cowboy jousting. Yeah, OK.
- 36:40Yep, we were cowboy jousting. That's apparently that's what
- 36:43it's called. I didn't either.
- 36:44But now jousting. But it makes sense.
- 36:46Yeah. And so we start roping him.
- 36:52Yes. You went first.
- 36:53We got you. I didn't.
- 36:54Think nobody could get? Me, I get.
- 36:56We did that, yeah. And then somebody else went.
- 36:59And then I was like, you know what?
- 37:01No, Griffin went. No, he didn't.
- 37:03Yes, 'cause I roped him. I was freaking pumped.
- 37:07I was. I was really pumped.
- 37:09You. Yeah, like the way that I
- 37:10reacted, you showed that. I've never roped anything on the
- 37:14move before. But anyways, so then I went and
- 37:19I went twice. Nobody got me the first time.
- 37:22The second time I go. Oh no.
- 37:25I feel the rope around my shoulder.
- 37:27I have to, like, grab here or else I would like have had rope
- 37:32burn all over my neck and I just get yanked to the ground.
- 37:35So I have to do this. And he Yanks me to the ground.
- 37:38I'm dying laughing. But if I wouldn't have grabbed
- 37:40it and he didn't think he got me, he was so stunned.
- 37:44He's like, Oh my God, are you OK?
- 37:47You. OK.
- 37:49And everybody that saw that video, I just.
- 37:51I just threw up a hill, Mary. He he was like, I really didn't
- 37:53think I was going to get you. And I'm like, well, you did.
- 37:56Yeah, you did. There were so many people that
- 37:58reached out and they were like, are you OK?
- 38:01I think I could break away rope now.
- 38:02Yeah, do it totally. For sure.
- 38:05No. I think it's pretty like to see
- 38:08you guys do it like you guys go zero to like 60, yes, like that.
- 38:15It's quick. It's so freaking quick.
- 38:17It's it's such a fast sport. Is that why you do it?
- 38:22Because you're it's. It's at most like 2 seconds for
- 38:25you, maybe 3. I like, I'm an adrenaline
- 38:28junkie, OK? And like, I love that
- 38:29adrenaline. I love it.
- 38:31That makes so much fun. I'll say because for.
- 38:33Me when you're, when you're starting off, are you, are you
- 38:37standing up in the saddle, leaning forward?
- 38:39Like so you want like you like cock your Outback, like
- 38:42whatever, like you're right here.
- 38:43Like you want to have like your chest up and like your shoulders
- 38:45kind of back. So like all you have to do is
- 38:47like really get that power to like the front of your face.
- 38:49It's like you have all that power like in your body to like
- 38:52lean forward right there. So like you don't want to like
- 38:54be like over the horse, like behind the horse.
- 38:56Like it would be like just like the spot, like like makes you
- 38:58feel comfortable and like really just ride out of there.
- 39:02So it's it's really hard to explain.
- 39:04It's like you'd like see. It I want to see it like up up
- 39:06close. Now is your is your horse like
- 39:09do are they that trained to where they know exactly when to
- 39:15go or do you give them that cue? You just like you, you hold them
- 39:18in the box like right here, like you'll hold them and like soon
- 39:20as you drop your hand that's. Like that's the cue.
- 39:23Yeah, that's. Really cool.
- 39:25And then like for you where like, at what moment do you feel
- 39:31like you have that rope out of your hands?
- 39:34It just depends like we get to your spot.
- 39:36Sometimes you have to throw out of your comfort zone.
- 39:37Sometimes you're in your comfort zone and it's OK.
- 39:40But like I, I trained like a lot of horses like I like I, I
- 39:44safety up a lot and it's really not great at me 'cause like you
- 39:47got to throw fast. You got you got to be fast to
- 39:49like win. And sometimes I'll safety up and
- 39:52like take a couple more swings or one more swing.
- 39:53I'm like, no, you can't do that, which is just and like embedded
- 39:56in my brain like no strike a couple more get this horse
- 39:59right. No, can't do that.
- 40:02So but like. Definitely like seniors, like
- 40:04you had to get to that calf, like you've got to be throwing.
- 40:07How often are you practicing? Every day, every day, every
- 40:10freaking day are. You practicing on a horse or off
- 40:13a horse? Both.
- 40:13Both or rub the dummy like rub the dummy, rub a Bale rope on
- 40:17the horses, rope calves. Like so like what we do is
- 40:20called pen roping. Also, it's like we just turn the
- 40:22calf out in the arena round pan or just like like when like
- 40:26you're up the cows like throwing a belly, you can just stick one
- 40:29in there. If it's like wide enough for
- 40:30you, stick one in there and rope it.
- 40:33It's just pen roping all the way.
- 40:34Roping all the above. Turn them out, rope them, get
- 40:38your horse right. It's kind of cool.
- 40:40It is fun. Like the practice.
- 40:41The practice in general just sounds pretty cool because it's
- 40:44not like you are constantly going into the box.
- 40:47That's why. Like rope.
- 40:48Yeah. Because that would seem
- 40:50repetitive and I would probably end up getting.
- 40:52Bored like a lot of horses, like they're going to look a little
- 40:54hot. So you got to score a bunch on
- 40:56them. You have to what score?
- 40:58So it's like it's, you're like sitting in the box.
- 41:00You don't go. It's basically trying to psych
- 41:03the horse out. Gotcha.
- 41:05So say they're getting kind of hot, like their gentleman's kind
- 41:07of going in the box. They're kind of getting antsy,
- 41:09they're getting a little nervous.
- 41:11Score these, nod your head, and you don't go.
- 41:14Interesting. Yeah, hold on, when you say
- 41:16score, I'm still confused. Like, like you just stand there.
- 41:21You don't. Go just sit there.
- 41:22You just, you just let the calf go.
- 41:24Yep, OK. Like you get ready and
- 41:25everything, but you're just like, you're basically sliding
- 41:27the horse out. Gotcha, gotcha.
- 41:29Yep. And then there get.
- 41:30Ready. And so if that calf goes, that
- 41:32doesn't go against you. Nope.
- 41:34Once your horses stand there, you can relax in the box, OK?
- 41:38Some horses take a lot of scores, some horses take like
- 41:40one or two and they're OK. And that doesn't go against your
- 41:43time that isn't there's. No, and like you can't do it.
- 41:45Got a rodeo over roping or anything.
- 41:46That's just me and gotcha. Just at home you can do it.
- 41:48OK, You got a roping. No time.
- 41:51No time, no score, no score, you have to go.
- 41:54Have to go. Dang, yeah.
- 41:56Yeah, I wouldn't want to know time like that at our rodeo if
- 41:58I'm paying $500. I know, right?
- 42:00Yeah, it's like the the entries like definitely kind of vary for
- 42:03from like 100 to like 500. But still.

- 44:12All right, well, let's. Switch gears a little bit.
- 44:14We talked a little bit about breakaway and you growing up and
- 44:19doing that. So what?
- 44:21Like, tell us about how you grew up?
- 44:23So whenever I was in Wyoming, like my family was like super in
- 44:26the horses. Like we, my whole family has
- 44:28been like everybody but but my dad, like he's like rode horses,
- 44:31but like he's more engines, transmissions, fast things like
- 44:36super cool in that way. Like he's like taught me a bunch
- 44:40of like a bunch of stuff about that.
- 44:41Like I built my own transmission with him like the one that's
- 44:44like in my truck currently. Oh wow.
- 44:46Like he has his own business down Scottsdale builds entrance
- 44:49transmissions. Like super fucking super super
- 44:51handy guy in that way. He's called Next Level Engines
- 44:54and Transmissions. Shout out, shout out, shout.
- 44:56Out for sure, but then like my mom and like her mom like
- 45:01they've always been the horses. Like we've wrote English for
- 45:03like a week, a week for once. It's not my favorite thing in
- 45:08the world. Never doing that ever again.
- 45:10I mean, like, it's fun. Like whoever, whoever does it
- 45:14got it. Cool.
- 45:14Good for you. Not for me.
- 45:17But then so my, me and my dad and my mom, we all moved away or
- 45:21Oklahoma for like 2 months, three months.
- 45:25So like that should hit the fan with them.
- 45:27So like I went back to Wyoming with my mom and my dad's like
- 45:30Nah, fuck you, you're coming back home with me 'cause like
- 45:33she just like took me. I'm like, oh, oh wow, goodbye
- 45:36family. Oh no.
- 45:38So she took you from Oklahoma? Yep, all the way back to
- 45:41Wyoming. My dad's like, hey, no girl, I
- 45:44can't come back and get me. Like, we lived in like, Oklahoma
- 45:46for like. Like there was no legal stuff,
- 45:50it was just up and. Gone up and gone.
- 45:52Quite literally up and gone. And and how?
- 45:55How old were you at the time? Like, man, I was little.
- 45:58Like first grader? Yeah.
- 46:01Like just did you have any idea what was going?
- 46:03On No I I had no idea. I'm like.
- 46:05OK. And I was like, OK, like we're
- 46:07leaving. I'm like, well, where's Dad?
- 46:09Well, he'll be, he'll be there. Was never there.
- 46:12So like, he came and got me whatever.
- 46:14Went back to Oklahoma, went back to school for a little while and
- 46:17then went back to Wyoming. My dad's like, hey, we try to go
- 46:21back and like get the shape figured out.
- 46:23So they, they got divorced, whatever, not a big deal.
- 46:26Then I was like, hey, do you want to move down to Arizona
- 46:29'cause I'm like, I will move down here.
- 46:30And then we're like the whole fam daily move down here.
- 46:34Ever since then we've been down here.
- 46:36My dad lived in like Ohio for a little while and worked with
- 46:39something with some like super, super cool people in like Ohio,
- 46:43Utah, like super, super good people.
- 46:46And your mom lived down here. Ever since then, like I've been
- 46:50into roping all things and like, it's not a huge deal.
- 46:54It's definitely been like a shit show my entire life.
- 46:57But that's a very, very long story.
- 47:00That's just like the gist of it, basically.
- 47:02So when you went back to Oklahoma with your dad, how long
- 47:05were you there before your mom at like at that point she asked
- 47:08you to come back or ask you if you wanted to move to Arizona?
- 47:12I don't know. It's it was, I was super little.
- 47:14I don't remember much of it. I think we were only there.
- 47:16Me and my dad were in Oklahoma for like a week or no probably
- 47:20like 3-4 weeks about a month. And then he was like.
- 47:22All right, we need to go back to Wyoming and get kind of shit
- 47:25figured out and like come back to life and because like we were
- 47:30dead broke, like dead broke because like he spent every last
- 47:34time on this car that he got. It was like, super cool car,
- 47:37super cool, but like, piece of shit, piece of shit.
- 47:41And like, he knew it. And he's like, man, like, I
- 47:42don't want you growing up in this.
- 47:43Like, I hate this for you. Like, I hate it because, like, I
- 47:46don't want you to see this. And like, I don't really
- 47:48remember much of it because we were like, talking about it the
- 47:50other day. And like, he doesn't really tell
- 47:52me much about it because, like, he just doesn't want me to know,
- 47:54which is fair. Whatever.
- 47:55Yeah. So then we like, we rented EU
- 47:57Haul, came back to Wyoming. I don't remember much at all,
- 48:03really there at all. I just remember coming down
- 48:05here. I'm like, oh, new place, new
- 48:07school, new friends. And then my mom met this super
- 48:11nice guy, got with him super nice horses, started roping.
- 48:16So that's where it was called. Became roping right there and
- 48:19then. Your dad, I'm assuming, just
- 48:20moved out here after you came with your mom.
- 48:23He moved out here like 4 years ago.
- 48:27Oh. OK, so he's OK.
- 48:29So he hasn't been here the whole time?
- 48:30Yep. He was in Utah for a while, and
- 48:33then he moved up to Ohio for a while, working with like super
- 48:38cool, like car people, I guess. I don't know what to call them.
- 48:42OK, mechanics. Mechanics, no, like, well, not
- 48:45mechanics they like. I do like the sled pulling.
- 48:49He did that for a while. Like he's super has won a lot of
- 48:53shit doing that. But yeah, that's what he did.
- 48:57Like he worked at industrial injection in Salt Lake.
- 49:01I think it's where it is, Salt Lake or Ogden, can't remember
- 49:03where it is, but made like a lot of cool people through them.
- 49:07They're like they're hitting 'cause like they're all super
- 49:09cool people, but like they're just not what I do.
- 49:11So like I'm like, eh, I'll stay over here, stay over there and I
- 49:16don't know that they're all super good people.
- 49:19What have I met through my what words?
- 49:23Words are very hard. I still.
- 49:24Get it so bad sometimes. Hey, so do we.
- 49:28I stutter really bad. Stutter Mumble.
- 49:30Yeah, we're probably not going to get like half the words I say
- 49:32out of this, but it's. Fine, it's fine.
- 49:34That's why there's like captions and transcriptions.
- 49:37I'm just kidding. When I was a kid, you're fine.
- 49:39When I was a kid, there was this girl that lived on my street.
- 49:42Her name was Emily. And like I could not for the
- 49:46life of me say her freaking name.
- 49:49Like we'll be playing tag or something and you know, Emily's
- 49:53it and I'd be like. It's so funny because I.
- 49:59Keep on Emily's it and everybody's already gone it.
- 50:06Was pretty good. Like, man, yeah, the game, yeah.
- 50:10Goodbye. There's, there's been times
- 50:11lately where I've been stuttering so badly and I have
- 50:15to sit there and I have to like take a breath and I'm like, get
- 50:17your shit together, Sam. Literally.
- 50:19Form sentences, literally. And I just have to like, think,
- 50:24I think that my mouth moves faster than my brain or my brain
- 50:27moves faster than my mouth, you know?
- 50:29You know, I think it's that one. Yeah, or definitely like the
- 50:31first option. My mouth's like me, me, me, me
- 50:33more. He's like, I'm trying to keep up
- 50:34with you. Yeah.
- 50:35Oh yeah, you know, it's messed up though.
- 50:37What is that? I'll stutter and my kids make
- 50:40fun of me, dude, you know? And it's like your.
- 50:44Kids are savage though. I know and I and I love them to
- 50:47death and everything, but man, sometimes like dude, I'm your
- 50:51dad, chill. But I kind of make fun of them
- 50:55too, right? I was going to say, it's kind of
- 50:56like a whole. It's a whole family thing, like
- 50:58you just got to make fun of everybody with it.
- 51:00Yeah, well, but sometimes when they come out with it, I'm not
- 51:03expecting it. And I just like, oh, I don't
- 51:06even know how to respond. I laugh.
- 51:07You're. Just like I don't.
- 51:09Know and then I don't have a comeback because it was just too
- 51:11good. Because they learn from the
- 51:13best. Yeah, exactly.
- 51:14Yeah, Shane and Natalie, they're they're.
- 51:17Oh yeah, we're. They get you sometimes we're.
- 51:19We're pretty on it. And then they get comebacks.
- 51:23Natalie the other day must. Be really funny.
- 51:29She was crying, laughing. Did she show you the video?
- 51:32She was crying laughing cuz we're like in bed.
- 51:34I'm watching my TV show. She's scrolling on the phone and
- 51:39there's this reel on Instagram and it was, it said when your
- 51:45husband is trying to get your order at Starbucks and it's
- 51:49with, have you seen The Goonies? Yes.
- 51:51Said the said guy. You know the the guy that looks
- 51:55all weird? Hey you.
- 51:56Guys, Yeah. Yeah, he's like sitting there
- 51:58like. Hey baby, take the baby.
- 52:01I love you baby dude. And it's like literally me,
- 52:06because at Starbucks I'm like, OK, what do you guys want?
- 52:10I mean, shoot, just like a month ago we were at McDonald's trying
- 52:13to order, right? And I'm every time we drive up
- 52:18to the drive through, I'm trying to be dialed in.
- 52:20Yes, look at what everybody wants.
- 52:22Saying what to me you want. OK, Yep, go.
- 52:23There's six of us, OK? And I'm not, I'm not, I'm not
- 52:27that guy, no. It's I I just wrote down the
- 52:29window and say what you guys want.
- 52:30Exactly. I wish I could, but my wife puts
- 52:34me on the spot every time. And it's like, so I, I try so
- 52:38hard to be dialed in and there's just sometimes I'm like, OK,
- 52:41hold on, wait. Like you got to give me a second
- 52:43to process, you know? What is one of the orders I?
- 52:47Don't know make. One up, make one up.
- 52:51Chicken Nuggets. Happy Meal Chicken.
- 52:52Nuggets. Sorry, I was still at.
- 52:53I was still at Starbucks, not McDonald's.
- 52:56Yeah, I was asking. Yeah, Starbucks.
- 52:57That's my best Natalie. Yeah.
- 53:00See, I don't know. I know BlackRock.
- 53:03She likes the. It's gone.
- 53:08As soon as you thought about it, it's gone.
- 53:10The tuxedo Sugar free tuxedo. It's not the tuxedo.
- 53:14What is it, Hayden? That's Desh Bros.
- 53:17That's Desh Bros. Oh, damn, I'm so confident.
- 53:19The caramel Blondie. Oh yeah, that's right, the
- 53:21caramel Blondie at BlackRock. Oh, wow.
- 53:23Yeah, I'm sorry. Starbucks is just an.
- 53:26Isonomante boy. The what?
- 53:27That's easy. That's.
- 53:28Easy. No, that's mine.
- 53:29No. That's Mom's that's yeah, that.
- 53:31Yeah, that would because when we went to on our girls trip, she
- 53:34got that too. Her and I have like essentially
- 53:35the same order at Starbucks. Oh, so Natalie ordered a vanilla
- 53:40latte at Starbucks for you? No, she didn't order it for me.
- 53:45Or with you. She.
- 53:46Ordered. I swear every time we go there
- 53:48it's like. Well, I know she recently got a
- 53:51medicine ball because she was sick from me.
- 53:54We're taking away from Kylie. No, that's why I don't care.
- 53:57It's from me. It was from me actually.
- 53:58Who's face timing you right now? My mom.
- 54:01Me and my mother don't talk. We were not friends.
- 54:05Oh, we are not friends. No, no.
- 54:08So what happened? Like a lot of sheds like went
- 54:10down with her. Like I still like love her with
- 54:13all my heart. Oh yeah.
- 54:14But like we do not get along. We like, we just clash the
- 54:19entire time. Do you think there's like some
- 54:21resentment from your childhood that you?
- 54:23Kind of. Oh yeah.
- 54:24I mean, like, I forgave her for like everything, like she's done
- 54:27to me. But like, it's really hard to
- 54:28like, look at her and be like, man, you really did that to me.
- 54:32Because like, no offense to like Alcoholics or anything or a
- 54:35drink or anything, but I do too, whatever.
- 54:38But like, was not like the greatest human in the world when
- 54:41it came to alcohol. Like she was super, super mean.
- 54:43And I can't be kind of like super mean drunks anymore just
- 54:47because like, because just because of her.
- 54:49And yeah, it's, it was, it's a lot right there.
- 54:54That's too bad. How long has it been since
- 54:55you've talked or seen seen your mom?
- 54:59I mean like I've seen her. A.
- 55:02Couple months ago I've seen her like we like we talked the other
- 55:04day but like it's not like a conversation.
- 55:08Yeah. That's hard.
- 55:09It's like, honestly, it really doesn't bother me just because
- 55:12like I have Abby and Riley. They're like my family.
- 55:15They're basically like my mom and my dad.
- 55:17They always call me like their adoptive child.
- 55:19Are those family friends or are those like the trainer, the
- 55:21trainers? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 55:22Sorry. Thank you for.
- 55:23Reminding. Yep.
- 55:24They're basically like, they're my family.
- 55:26Yeah, I call them my family. And like, they have, like, two
- 55:28sons. One's Rainley.
- 55:30He's 18. And then Clancy just turned 3.
- 55:32Love them to death. They're like my little brothers.
- 55:34Yeah, that's cool. Even though Rainley's like 6-1,
- 55:36I am 5/2 and 1/2. Yeah, damn, big difference right
- 55:41there. He's like, look, you're my
- 55:43little sister, but I'm like, but I'm not.
- 55:45I'm older than. I'm older than you, but I'm a
- 55:47lot smaller. And I could probably throw a
- 55:48rope faster than you, sucker. Yeah.
- 55:51That sucker for He ropes good. Yeah, he's super good.
- 55:53Like ropes cap super good. But he plays volleyball.
- 55:56He plays like beach volleyball, like super, super handy Cam
- 55:59nice. He's super athletic in like
- 56:01every way he wants to be. That's freaking ridiculous.
- 56:03That's super cool. Like chosen family is the best
- 56:07kind of family sometimes so and it sounds like it helped you
- 56:10100%. Like they were been the best
- 56:12thing. Yeah, it's.
- 56:13Been the best thing for. You how long have you been
- 56:15living with? Do you live with them?
- 56:18Kind of, yeah. Kind of.
- 56:19How long have you been with them for?
- 56:21Ever since I was like, with my boyfriend, whatever that
- 56:25happened, yeah, duh. And dumb.
- 56:30Anyways, so freaking dumb. No offense to do, No.
- 56:33I totally agree. I do.
- 56:36I'm right here with you, girl. Right there with you, girl.
- 56:38Girl power. Girl power, yay.
- 56:42But I think ever since like the middle of September, maybe like
- 56:49a little before I was there with them because they're of Montana
- 56:52and I was, I was in Reno, NV at the time.
- 56:54So I drove up there, spend time with them.
- 56:56Now I'm like been with them ever since.
- 56:57But like before that like I was like I was with my ex-boyfriend
- 57:01for like 2 1/2 years and then ever since been like before him
- 57:04like I was over there with them every single day.
- 57:07Like but before they lived in like Morristown actually
- 57:11Morristown like for like so many years.
- 57:13And like I lived like 2 houses down.
- 57:16It's like I just went right over there and like just go mop
- 57:19around with him, ride all day with him.
- 57:20Worked for Riley. Then they move to like it's like
- 57:24off the 74 but it's like down like a long ass dirt Rd.
- 57:27Damn. So it's like, it's like it's 2
- 57:30miles long, but it's like. But down a dirt Rd.
- 57:33That's a long time, yeah, depending on the condition of
- 57:36the road. It's not great.
- 57:38OK, so it's probably takes you a.
- 57:39Little while honestly, I guess mob.
- 57:41I was gonna say, and if you're yeah and if you have to haul
- 57:44horses down that road, yeah, it's gonna take a while.
- 57:47And it's not like sometimes it's good, sometimes, like it's
- 57:49always like driving in it seems pretty good, but going out it's
- 57:52like fuck this, fuck this. Like, do we eat?
- 57:57Do we want to go? Yeah, I leave like every
- 58:00freaking day too, going hanging with all my friends.
- 58:02I'm like, man, he's like, man, you usually love that dirt Rd.
- 58:05don't you? I'm like, yeah, I love it so
- 58:07much. That's.
- 58:08My favorite, actually. I have a picture of it on my
- 58:10wallpaper. How much I love.
- 58:11It Do you still hang out with your dad?
- 58:15I was over there for like, it was my 21st birthday weekend
- 58:18with him. It was a lot of fun.
- 58:20Does does he live in Scottsdale? Yep, lives in like it's
- 58:23basically Scottsdale. Yeah, but like super fucking
- 58:26cool guy. Like super, super knowledgeable
- 58:29about everything when it comes to a car like he built.
- 58:34So his wife's dad had this super, super bad ass Corvette,
- 58:37rebuilt the engine in it. Sounds pretty gangster actually.
- 58:40Really gangster. And then his wife ways like
- 58:46races, cars, whatever. I don't know, like like the
- 58:48correct term for it. Build the engine in her car.
- 58:51Like builds all sorts of cool ass shit.
- 58:54Like he's just a super handy guy.
- 58:56That's pretty awesome. He's super funny.
- 58:58Nate would like to. Talk, Have you have you always
- 59:00had a relationship with your dad?
- 59:02OK. I mean, like, it wasn't like the
- 59:03greatest for like a little while just because he lived in Ohio
- 59:07and we just, I didn't get to see him for like, I think it was
- 59:12like 4 years I think is what it was like maybe 3 or 4.
- 59:15I can't remember really. But we've always like, talked.
- 59:19We've always like called each other whenever, like he was gone
- 59:21then like whenever he did live in Wyoming for this one point
- 59:24for like, I think a year or two. I think it's been forever.
- 59:29I woke up in the summers. I like, I loved it up there
- 59:32'cause like, that was my home for like a long time.
- 59:34But then, like, there was no horses.
- 59:37Yeah, 'cause like, he's not a horse guy, which is OK.
- 59:39Well, it's not, well, his fault. It's not his thing.
- 59:42And I just didn't like it up there.
- 59:46I mean, like, but then like eventually his ex-wife got into
- 59:49horses and everything and like was super like trying to get
- 59:52into it. Like all the barrels.
- 59:54I just wasn't my gig. I didn't have any friends up
- 59:57there. I was still like super small.
- 59:59And it's not like it's not what I loved.
- 1:00:01I'd rather stay with at that time.
- 1:00:03I'd rather stay with my mom and do all the horse things, have
- 1:00:06fun this summer because like we would do go up to Idaho for that
- 1:00:09ow. That point in time we got up up
- 1:00:12to getting Idaho for a couple summers and like, it was a lot
- 1:00:15of fun. Like a badass place.
- 1:00:17That's cool. Super cool barn.
- 1:00:19So badass arena. So like, although like, you
- 1:00:21know, you probably don't get along with your mom as much as
- 1:00:24you probably like to she was is she a big influence into your
- 1:00:29into your horse life? Yes, definitely in that area.
- 1:00:32She's a super, super big influence in that.
- 1:00:35Like I always like appreciate her for what she did for me
- 1:00:38right there, right. But like life wise, my dad for
- 1:00:41sure. He's the one that I like really
- 1:00:43look up to because like he has worked his ass off his entire
- 1:00:46life to have what he has now. Like when we were like, like I
- 1:00:50said, I was little, we didn't have anything.
- 1:00:51I mean, like, well, we had a nice place.
- 1:00:54Like whenever like they got divorced, dirt fucking broke,
- 1:00:57like not great. And so like now he's like able
- 1:01:01to buy me like these super nice, like luxury bags and all these
- 1:01:04things and like he's living super comfortably.
- 1:01:06Like that's what I don't want to.
- 1:01:08Do so, you see, like the hard work that your dad's put in?
- 1:01:11Especially with his business, like at first they like it went,
- 1:01:14went on super good. I was like, 'cause like he's
- 1:01:16wasn't making like, not like there was like some like things
- 1:01:20that were going wrong and like he wasn't making money there for
- 1:01:22a second. So he's like, fuck, I don't know
- 1:01:23what I'm going to do. So finally, like he went to this
- 1:01:25mentor. He was like, hey, what do I need
- 1:01:28to do to make my life better and everything.
- 1:01:30So like he like followed the mentor, Super cool guy.
- 1:01:32I forget his name. My dad knows all about him.
- 1:01:36I don't know his name, but then like he's been just like family
- 1:01:40went off and so now he's like able to live like a super, super
- 1:01:44good life. He's like comfortable.
- 1:01:46He's very comfortable now, not like millionaire or anything,
- 1:01:49but like he's wealthy. He's wealthy now.
- 1:01:51I'm like, that's what what I love, like to see him do
- 1:01:55because. He had to work so hard to get
- 1:01:57there too. Like work like, it's hard.
- 1:01:59And like whenever his mom like who like my grandma was like was
- 1:02:02like the was the was the same weight.
- 1:02:06And because like she bought everything for him like that she
- 1:02:08could afford. Yeah, like try to get him
- 1:02:10started and like doing all the things, which is like super
- 1:02:13cool. That's really awesome.
- 1:02:15That's really, really cool of your dad.
- 1:02:16And you said that his company in Scottsdale is called What Next
- 1:02:19Level? Next level transmissions and
- 1:02:21engines OK. Is he did like pit my ride kind
- 1:02:24of cars You can do you know what pit my ride is?
- 1:02:27No. Negative.
- 1:02:29No. It was a really cool.
- 1:02:31Do you know who exhibit is? Nope, Nope.
- 1:02:33Wow, I've never I'm I'm gonna say something.
- 1:02:36That gave it to you. Right.
- 1:02:38Yeah, that's I got it. Yeah.
- 1:02:40Yeah. But you've you've seen Pimp My
- 1:02:41Ride, right? Oh yeah.
- 1:02:42Yeah. OK.
- 1:02:43I'm just making sure. So it's this old MTV show that
- 1:02:47exhibit he's a rapper hosted and he would just find these like.
- 1:02:53Junkers. OK, I've seen them like F168.
- 1:02:57Okay, yeah, they. Take these old junker cars and
- 1:03:00turn them like super badass. Yeah, and they put like TV's and
- 1:03:03shit, and they turned out really, really cool.
- 1:03:08There's days sometimes, like there's an old Facebook status
- 1:03:10of mine that says I wonder if the cars on Pit My Ride are
- 1:03:14still pimp. No, I actually like heard that a
- 1:03:19lot of those cars would get messed up.
- 1:03:21I heard that too like. Briefly after, yeah, they would
- 1:03:24do like TV's that would have come up from the back of the car
- 1:03:27like. And didn't wasn't the turn
- 1:03:29around on them like really, really quick too or something?
- 1:03:32So it they look really cool on TV, but they didn't like far
- 1:03:37after. They didn't really like run that
- 1:03:38great afterwards. No way.
- 1:03:41No way they could like all the like all the technology is like,
- 1:03:45man, I was just going to start a fire at this point.
- 1:03:49So does your dad, like, is he a mechanic too or does he just
- 1:03:51work on like the transmissions and engines and stuff like that
- 1:03:54'cause I only asked just because of like, I'm sure your truck and
- 1:03:57then like hauling around a horse trailer, yes.
- 1:04:01He only works on mine. He's like I'm a retired
- 1:04:04mechanic. He would never retire.
- 1:04:05Retire and call McKay. And he said.
- 1:04:08This is going on. He goes, I'm retired.
- 1:04:10I'm like, you're my father. He goes, I know and then like
- 1:04:14there's like my gauge cluster, it Dings it like so like it'll
- 1:04:19go like like less speed and go Ding, go back down, go back up,
- 1:04:23down, back up. It's sometimes we will make
- 1:04:25we'll make it there go Ding, Ding, Ding.
- 1:04:27I'm like, holy fuck, I'm about to crash out, freak out since
- 1:04:32I'm like I take it over till I'm like we unplug it.
- 1:04:34Whatever ran out of gas. I did that for the first time.
- 1:04:39Ran a diesel. Yeah, not thrilled.
- 1:04:42Yeah, I call Riley. He goes, what the hell are you
- 1:04:45thinking? I'm like my gauge cluster
- 1:04:47doesn't work for my diesel. I'm like, I don't, you're like I
- 1:04:50don't know. And isn't it like really bad to
- 1:04:51run out of I'm I'm not great for it.
- 1:04:54I was gonna say cuz I'm super paranoid.
- 1:04:56Like for the injectors. And stuff and like in it, it's
- 1:04:58not great for him. OK, I'd say cuz the moment the
- 1:05:01gas light turns on I don't even like getting to the gas light.
- 1:05:04I've been pretty risky for it a few times, though.
- 1:05:06I've, I've been asking for it. And honestly, I even like told
- 1:05:09like Riley, like that day, I'm like, man, I'm fixing around a
- 1:05:11diesel. Probably he goes, me call him,
- 1:05:13he goes, man, maybe we should have stopped and got diesel.
- 1:05:15I'm like, probably, probably, definitely a great idea.
- 1:05:20So yeah, we had to. So I went over there the other
- 1:05:22day, plugged him back in. Now I have diesel again.
- 1:05:27I can like see where my diesel's at.
- 1:05:28I'm like see how fast I'm going because I had to use but not
- 1:05:33like the actual Apple map but the other one Google Maps.
- 1:05:36I'd use that to sell how fast I was going.
- 1:05:39Oh damn, yeah. It was quite funny, but like and
- 1:05:41then like I thought like my rear end was going out my
- 1:05:43differential. I thought it was going out
- 1:05:45because like my truck tires like it was like spin like kind of
- 1:05:48hit like this. And so I'm like, man, well,
- 1:05:51here's another fucking thing going on this thing and he's
- 1:05:55like, no, it was just stuck in full drive me.
- 1:05:57No it's not like I can turn the knob and it's not, but whenever
- 1:06:00I unplugged it in the clusters it must have went to like safety
- 1:06:03mode or something and turned 4 drive.
- 1:06:06So I drove around in 4 wheel drive for like 2 weeks.
- 1:06:10Damn. Yeah, whoopsies.
- 1:06:12Not great at me. That was probably not great for
- 1:06:14it. I was just about to ask.
- 1:06:16I don't know anything about cars.
- 1:06:20Nothing so. I was.
- 1:06:21I was with. You.
- 1:06:22Yeah, like I don't so. Like like the Gates cluster.
- 1:06:24It's like. Well, that I do know, but like
- 1:06:27as far as driving and because I almost asked is it bad to drive
- 1:06:30in 4 wheel drive all the time? I mean, I can't.
- 1:06:31I mean, I can't imagine it's great.
- 1:06:33But like you. Don't you don't ever want to
- 1:06:34drive in four. Wheel drive if.
- 1:06:35You don't have to use. It yeah.
- 1:06:37Oh, is it rougher? It must be rough around.
- 1:06:38Very rough. It's rough, like whenever you're
- 1:06:40turning like it was like this, like you.
- 1:06:43Remember you. Remember, like in Ace Ventura
- 1:06:47and he's like doing the bouncing thing.
- 1:06:48Yeah, but on on smooth Rd., that's probably what she felt
- 1:06:52like. Yeah, because like turning and
- 1:06:53stuff, it was like my singling would like, jerk my arms.
- 1:06:57Like I can only. Turn so tight.
- 1:06:58Yeah, interesting. Because the front wheels are
- 1:07:01trying to grip, Yeah, you know. Like the back wheel, like the
- 1:07:04one like 1 liquid look like this and we expand like this, like
- 1:07:07this, like this. It's like not gripping
- 1:07:09correctly, OK? It's like just rolling.
- 1:07:11It's like gripping. It's like, Oh my.
- 1:07:13God, it's going to be really disappointed in me that I didn't
- 1:07:15know that. And he worked in the auto and
- 1:07:17Nate, because he worked in the auto industry for so long.
- 1:07:20And he's probably coming home and telling you all the stories.
- 1:07:23Probably he's like. Oh yeah.
- 1:07:24Oh yeah. And he's gonna listen to this
- 1:07:26and be like, you didn't know that I.
- 1:07:29Didn't even know what that was either until Riley told me.
- 1:07:31Because, man, maybe maybe that's what's happening.
- 1:07:33My dad, my dad's like, no, it's before we drive.
- 1:07:36It's not. I'm like, no it's not.
- 1:07:38When you're going to all these roping events, are you going by
- 1:07:42yourself? Sometimes, most of the time I
- 1:07:44am, but like, sometimes I'll be home, like hey buddy, I'll pick
- 1:07:47you up if you want to come, like, Oh yeah, sure.
- 1:07:48So yeah, I try to travel with like friends and stuff just to
- 1:07:51make it fun. And and so training horses how,
- 1:07:57how busy are you with that? Not like super, not as busy as I
- 1:08:00would like to be right now, Yeah, but like I try to keep
- 1:08:03myself super busy. Just kind of keep going, keep
- 1:08:05working on it, keep the grind going.
- 1:08:08I definitely would like to be a little bit more busier, but the
- 1:08:12season's kind of slow right now. It's starting to pick up so
- 1:08:14hopefully more into like it's winter time.
- 1:08:16It'll be like flowing, I hope. I'm hoping, praying, wishing.
- 1:08:22We're going to manifest that for manifesting.
- 1:08:23Yeah, we're manifesting. You are going to make it into
- 1:08:27the $1,000,000 breakaway. I hope I I like, wish I am.
- 1:08:30I just want to so. Bad.
- 1:08:31No, You, you are. We're speaking it into
- 1:08:33existence. You're not wishing anything,
- 1:08:34Kylie. OK, We're speaking it into
- 1:08:36existence. It's going to happen.
- 1:08:38Don't put extra pressure on yourself.
- 1:08:40Just go out there and do your thing because clearly you're
- 1:08:42good enough to do it. What's your What's your most
- 1:08:45memorable win? I've not had a lot of like super
- 1:08:50cool wins in my life. She feels like I didn't have
- 1:08:54like the best horses in the world when I was growing up.
- 1:08:56So like I didn't get to like do all the cool things.
- 1:08:59But man, I don't know. It's there's but there's
- 1:09:02balance. There's been some cool wins, but
- 1:09:03like nothing like, oh, it's so cool.
- 1:09:05It's like, oh, that's kind of cool in a way because like there
- 1:09:09was like this little dinky breakaway jackpot in California
- 1:09:12I was at and it was like 40 bucks to enter.
- 1:09:15I'm like, I'm entering up like this is awesome.
- 1:09:17Like I don't get to do this in Arizona.
- 1:09:18It's like 100 bucks a whack. So like I entered up and then I
- 1:09:23won first or second and third an average.
- 1:09:26I won second the first round. I won the show round.
- 1:09:30That was that's, I think winning more and more checks like that.
- 1:09:33I think it's I think it's fun. I mean like winning like a big
- 1:09:35roping. That's cool too.
- 1:09:37I'd rather, I'd rather win, like more money in that.
- 1:09:38Morning. Yeah, Yeah.
- 1:09:40Shit. Well, what is your earnings, do
- 1:09:42you know? No idea.
- 1:09:43No. But like, I've been roping on
- 1:09:46fish for a year and a half almost now, maybe because I got
- 1:09:51him. I started roping on him in
- 1:09:54March, I think it was when I took him to his first jackpot.
- 1:09:58And then he's going what, year and a half now, I guess.
- 1:10:00And he's almost made what I paid for him.
- 1:10:02Oh good. This doesn't like big, but it's
- 1:10:06like, right? That's kind of cool.
- 1:10:07Yeah. So.
- 1:10:09Do you feel like that if you would probably go to the next
- 1:10:16level if you had the proper horse?
- 1:10:20If I had a better horse and I was little, definitely I would
- 1:10:23probably be a little higher because right now, like there's
- 1:10:26this one girl who stays with like right down the road from
- 1:10:28us. She's a super good Roper.
- 1:10:29She's super. She's a 15.
- 1:10:30Like it has great, great horsepower.
- 1:10:32Like if I had that whenever I was that age, like I feel like
- 1:10:36I'd be like a little bit more set up in life, right?
- 1:10:38But it's nobody's fault. Like it's just the way it is.
- 1:10:40Well, you're still young though, right?
- 1:10:42I mean, you're 21, like just, I mean, just watching your videos
- 1:10:46like you are really talented. Yeah, I try to be for sure.
- 1:10:50No, you are. I think you're no, she's
- 1:10:51definitely trying to like be. She's staying humble.
- 1:10:54For sure. I'm not a cocky.
- 1:10:55I'm not a cocky person like whatsoever.
- 1:10:56That's OK, I can be better. But also, you know, I'll be
- 1:10:59cocky for. You, yeah.
- 1:11:00You are the best breakaway Roper I've ever been.
- 1:11:02Listen here, we've been seeing you on Cowboy Channel.
- 1:11:05Yeah, that's pretty good. That's you're.
- 1:11:07Like you're like, do you're like in the one seconds, 2 seconds?
- 1:11:10Yeah, that's a big deal. I feel like it is.
- 1:11:13Like give yourself some more credit.
- 1:11:14Yeah, because it's and it's OK, because that's that's freaking
- 1:11:18cool. It is.
- 1:11:18And it, all of the things that you had gone through like when
- 1:11:23you were younger and then not having those really, really,
- 1:11:27really, really, really good horses has gotten you to where
- 1:11:29you're at today. So take that as like, all right,
- 1:11:33this, that was a learning opportunity.
- 1:11:35And it sure, it was like a it was a challenge for you, but it
- 1:11:39made you a better Roper at the end of the day.
- 1:11:41Definitely a better rider, better Roper.
- 1:11:43I've rode some shitters in my life, like like not great
- 1:11:49horses, like try to kill you. And it wasn't like those horses
- 1:11:54and like I wouldn't be the rider I am today.
- 1:11:56Right. So there you go like that's and
- 1:11:58it's something to be super proud of and you've got these young
- 1:12:02horses that are still learning and growing.
- 1:12:06Like imagine what they're going to be if you keep if you hang on
- 1:12:09to these horses like in the next year or two, especially when
- 1:12:11they cause fish is what, 4/3? He's 5 now. 5 Now so God, you
- 1:12:16even give him like another year or two or whatever and like
- 1:12:20just. How often like do so you, you
- 1:12:26probably do watch the pros, right?
- 1:12:28Yes. How often are those girls
- 1:12:32leasing horses or riding different horses?
- 1:12:35They ride always ride a different bunch of horses, like
- 1:12:37some girls like kind of stay on their main mounts.
- 1:12:39It definitely depends on rodeo because like each rodeo has a
- 1:12:43different score, like like the length they had like love the
- 1:12:46cap out really. So like it's like definitely
- 1:12:51like watch tonight some random like Salinas watch Cheyenne,
- 1:12:54watch Pendleton. Those are some of the funnest
- 1:12:58rodeos you'll watch. It's like just like Gizzy
- 1:13:01goosebumps watching it and like so the Pendleton's on the grass.
- 1:13:05Cheyenne's called the daddy of them all.
- 1:13:07Salinas is in Salinas, CA super badass.
- 1:13:10Like let him out. I think the score is like 25
- 1:13:13foot I think. What is that?
- 1:13:16What do you mean by the score is?
- 1:13:1720 so like that's like like the length of like I'll explain this
- 1:13:24like correctly. I just want to show you video
- 1:13:28just to make it. Show it.
- 1:13:29Do you have one? Yeah, sure.
- 1:13:31Maybe I got to find it, but I might have deleted it.
- 1:13:34Let's see. July, I believe.
- 1:13:38That's a rodeo I want to go to. That was Pendleton.
- 1:13:40Pendleton is. Fucking that's in Oregon.
- 1:13:43Oh, Oregon. It's such a bad ass rodeo.
- 1:13:46I've heard it's like one of the most fun rodeos to go to I.
- 1:13:49Want to go so bad? So freaking bad.
- 1:13:52Oh. Really.
- 1:13:55Yeah, he was telling me about that Griffin's dad.
- 1:14:01Shout out to Nate. That's his name, right?
- 1:14:03Nathan. Nathan, if you're going to be in
- 1:14:08here and like talk. I know you could talk.
- 1:14:10You don't have to be all secretive.
- 1:14:12You don't have to like ASMR whisper over.
- 1:14:17There. Oh my gosh, hold on.
- 1:14:19Let me just look it up like one of the pro guys because I cannot
- 1:14:22find anything else. Oh, you're good.
- 1:14:24Let's see who was there. Trying to think who was there
- 1:14:28maybe? Cody Johnson.
- 1:14:32I'm gonna look up Caleb Diggers and.
- 1:14:37While you're while you're looking that up, just keep
- 1:14:39going, OK? Who's your favorite country
- 1:14:41singer? Man, I don't know.
- 1:14:44Wait, are you in the country? Like does not all.
- 1:14:46I mean, yeah, I mean, definitely ow, it's definitely there.
- 1:14:48I don't know. It's.
- 1:14:52What's your OK? What's your favorite genre?
- 1:14:53Do you have a favorite genre? I like all the honestly, like
- 1:14:56I'm a hardcore, like rock'n'roll.
- 1:14:59I love me some rock. And.
- 1:15:00Roll like I love some like good solid like country songs.
- 1:15:03I like I love me some like just good rap song.
- 1:15:05I'm I'm all. Over the place like.
- 1:15:07All over the freaking place. What's your what's your hype up
- 1:15:10playlist? Man, I got a lot of that.
- 1:15:13Yeah, like definitely like some rock'n'roll before or some like
- 1:15:17rap songs. I love everything.
- 1:15:22Definitely like some like hypoplungs.
- 1:15:23Probably. Probably not R&B though.
- 1:15:26I have a friend that listens to R&B while.
- 1:15:28He works out slow jams. Yeah, wow.
- 1:15:30While. He works out.
- 1:15:31I know. Me neither.
- 1:15:33One of my favorite songs to work out to is the rock version.
- 1:15:39Push It No, that is a good one though.
- 1:15:42But no, it's the rock version of Let It Go from Frozen.
- 1:15:46Oh my. Gosh.
- 1:15:47Have you heard that? Yeah, it's so good.
- 1:15:49Same with Be a Man or Man Make a Man Out of You from Mulan.
- 1:15:54There's a rock version of that, and that one's pretty good too.
- 1:15:57Cool, I'm going to send them to you.
- 1:15:59You're never going to. Listen to them.
- 1:16:00I'm not. I'm not going to listen to that.
- 1:16:01I don't know, but maybe I'll just send them to Kylie.
- 1:16:04Yeah, Kylie. I feel like, yeah, I feel like
- 1:16:06those would be some good. The Let It Go one's pretty good.
- 1:16:09Is it? Yeah.
- 1:16:10Like rock? Yes.
- 1:16:11That's cool. It's good.
- 1:16:12Good, good. Yeah, have you heard the the
- 1:16:17$0.50 AI songs? No.
- 1:16:20No $0.50's AI songs. Yeah.
- 1:16:23What was it? It's like, it's like really big.
- 1:16:30It's from his Get Rich Die Trying album.
- 1:16:33No. Damn, I forgot what it was
- 1:16:35called. I think it was like Many men,
- 1:16:38but that's a good song. Yeah.
- 1:16:40Speaking of that song, it's really.
- 1:16:41Good. Yeah, but they made an AI song.
- 1:16:43Like like in a different, different era.
- 1:16:46Oh, you know what? Yes, I've heard that one.
- 1:16:48There's been a few and they do a lot of like 50s or sock up.
- 1:16:52Yeah, I don't know who this person is because like I'm
- 1:16:54almost like looking like in the tagged.
- 1:16:55It's OK things of Salinas. Oh my God alone.
- 1:17:02God bless it, America. Hello, hello, replay.
- 1:17:11OK, so whenever you're ready, swipe over.
- 1:17:14That's that's the score of the team roping.
- 1:17:19So. Like the distance?
- 1:17:22That's like the distance of how California he had to let the cow
- 1:17:24out. Oh.
- 1:17:27Got it. That's 25 foot so.
- 1:17:29They have to just like run. They can't run until that calf
- 1:17:32is like to the cow is to a certain distance.
- 1:17:35Got it. That makes.
- 1:17:36Sense it's wild. So like in the Salinas too, like
- 1:17:40they go from the same box. They go from the headers box,
- 1:17:42which is on the left side. Yeah, left side, sorry.
- 1:17:46Fingers are definitely like there.
- 1:17:47For me, yeah, you're just like my daughter's.
- 1:17:49It's OK. Love to ride?
- 1:17:50Yeah, he does that all the time. I'm like, man, which one is it?
- 1:17:53But yeah, 6-7, yeah, 6/7. Did you see how she
- 1:18:01automatically like? It's terrible, but yeah, look,
- 1:18:05both come from like the headers box.
- 1:18:07Super badass, super freaking cool.
- 1:18:10But definitely look at those rodeos.
- 1:18:12I feel like if I was gonna be a team Roper and if I was a
- 1:18:16healer, I would definitely hit up a breakaway Roper to be my
- 1:18:21header it. Did Hell yeah, it definitely
- 1:18:23happened. Because I feel like you guys are
- 1:18:25just so dialed in to hurry up and get that, get that on, you
- 1:18:28know? Cuz like at the bar, which is
- 1:18:29it's we all call, it's Western Trails, what we all called the
- 1:18:32bar Dylan's, Dylan's we. Go there all the time, yeah.
- 1:18:37Yeah, there's a breakaway open there on Friday night, and then
- 1:18:39there's a mixed. It's like a guy has to rope with
- 1:18:41a girl. Is that is that what your friend
- 1:18:43was talking about? Yes.
- 1:18:44OK, there's one that's not tonight.
- 1:18:46There's Was there one? Tonight there's also one
- 1:18:48tonight. Oh that's cool.
- 1:18:49But then there's one on Friday. I.
- 1:18:50Didn't know that. What time on Friday?
- 1:18:53I only ask 'cause I'm well if it doesn't rain.
- 1:18:56No shit, I hope it doesn't rain. I'm going to.
- 1:18:58'Cause I'm going to run at horns and hooves.
- 1:19:00Oh really? And then?
- 1:19:02Yeah, she's running. It's on the way back in.
- 1:19:04Let me look. Yeah, go ahead and look.
- 1:19:08I'm trying to go, well, now that there's all sorts of ropings at
- 1:19:10Dylan's, we'll probably see her more, yeah.
- 1:19:12Honestly, I'm going to be there all the time.
- 1:19:14Yeah, well, they just started doing breakaway roping there,
- 1:19:17right? Yeah, they didn't do always do
- 1:19:18it, did they? They didn't do that last.
- 1:19:19Year they did. They did it last year.
- 1:19:21They did. Oh really?
- 1:19:22I don't remember them ever doing breakaway Friday nights and.
- 1:19:25Like they do the Friday nights first or the breakaways first
- 1:19:28and then they have a mealy slide.
- 1:19:29Which? Is like, so like, you know, so
- 1:19:33like, OK, actually focus on one thing first.
- 1:19:37It starts at Bucks Open at 5:00, rope at 5:30.
- 1:19:41Oh, OK. For the breakaway, so then then
- 1:19:43like the mix will be after. Yeah, OK.
- 1:19:46So like there's all the way there's there's seven roping.
- 1:19:49So like A4 or A3 and A2 can rope together like number wise.
- 1:19:53OK, so there's goes all the way down from a three header to A10
- 1:19:57header, which is like the pro guys or 10s whatever the healer,
- 1:20:01same thing threes and fans. So there's like A7, like a
- 1:20:04three, and A2 can rope together. An 8, a four and four can work
- 1:20:08together, 9, so on, so on, so on.
- 1:20:10And then like there's, I think it goes, the highest it goes up
- 1:20:13to is 16 I think is what I don't.
- 1:20:17Know now when you're saying the 16 header, 10 header.
- 1:20:20So like. Is that like a ranking?
- 1:20:22It's like, yes, the rankings can be, well, the rankings go all
- 1:20:26the way to A10, like the 10s, like the best guys like Kale
- 1:20:30Driggers, Junior Thorpe, Payton Bray, like all those super cool
- 1:20:35guys, they're all 10s. But then like the Ropings, it's
- 1:20:40basically what it's basically like.
- 1:20:42So the pro guys can't rope with like like a #2?
- 1:20:45Roper or #3 Roper so they have to be within their same.
- 1:20:49So can like a 10 rope with A9. In the slide, yes.
- 1:20:53So the slide's like or like an, I guess an open, open, open.
- 1:20:57Like everybody can rope, but like only the pro guys can open,
- 1:21:00open. So it's because like you're
- 1:21:01going to get your ass beat, right?
- 1:21:03So it's a lot of fun. And like you got to know like
- 1:21:08where you're at ranking wise because you don't want to enter
- 1:21:11open. Definitely.
- 1:21:13Like, yeah. And you're not very good that's
- 1:21:15you're just basically paying them.
- 1:21:17Oh yeah, basically, definitely because like, well, we all have
- 1:21:19numbers, like I said, like well, they all give us numbers.
- 1:21:24So then you like say if like you're a 10 get open, you can't
- 1:21:27rope on a 10, you get up on a nine, you can't open like in a
- 1:21:3012. I mean, you can rope in the 14
- 1:21:33if you get a #4 header, you can rope or like #4 healer, like
- 1:21:36vice versa, whatever. But yeah, opens are definitely
- 1:21:40like where the big guys rope. That's like we're the big guys
- 1:21:43RIP together. It's like they'll have those
- 1:21:45opens before then a farm, they'll have one at downtown
- 1:21:48Rena, Rancho, Rio Simpsons. They'll have like 3 big opens
- 1:21:53right there. Like all the pro guys come, they
- 1:21:55get to practice with each other and grow up with each other.
- 1:21:58Before they go into Vegas, yeah. It's super cool.
- 1:22:00So Arizona's like the stop before Vegas?
- 1:22:03Yes, it's called, we call it Vegas week.
- 1:22:06It's right before Vegas and or during Vegas, after Vegas,
- 1:22:09whatever. And it's one of the busiest
- 1:22:12times of the year. Like there's freaking trailers.
- 1:22:15Everywhere, I'm sure. Like at downtown, there's not
- 1:22:19like a lot of parking at downtown and like, can't get in
- 1:22:24like that. Rancho Rio, you see how big
- 1:22:25their parking lot is? Yeah, that's huge.
- 1:22:27Plum full, you can't get in like you can't.
- 1:22:29You have to go all the way back to the wash to park your rig.
- 1:22:32Jeez, it's freaking like the way team up was parked too.
- 1:22:36Like really they just pull in. They just call it good the way.
- 1:22:39I mean, if you give a man a truck and a trailer and a
- 1:22:41bazillion dollars and some horses and a bit to go rope,
- 1:22:45they're just going to park like every which way.
- 1:22:47Well, I mean, if you're the first one there, I.
- 1:22:49Mean if you're the first one there, definitely get up front
- 1:22:51if you're early. Yeah.
- 1:22:52If you're early if early, get up front.
- 1:22:54Yeah, just park wherever. But yeah, people, if they could
- 1:22:57park in the middle of the road, they would.
- 1:22:59But like they have like traffic people at Rancher Wheel, so they
- 1:23:02have to tell you where to park. And like if nobody goes like
- 1:23:06directing anything, they just pull in to start off, get along
- 1:23:09the horse, get out. RIP team Rippers are a whole
- 1:23:12different breed. Whole new breed of human.
- 1:23:15Yeah, I got. Are you fans of them or?
- 1:23:17Sometimes, yes, sometimes. Sometimes.
- 1:23:19I was going to say I've seen like mixed reviews, like some
- 1:23:21people either love them or they hate them.
- 1:23:23There's never, like, there's definitely some not very nice
- 1:23:25ones out there, they get me wrong.
- 1:23:27But there's some definitely like some really good humans out
- 1:23:29there. Yeah, I'm more of like, if I
- 1:23:31could go live in Oklahoma or Texas, that's where I'd be.
- 1:23:35Yeah. I prefer, like more like rancher
- 1:23:37people in that way. Yeah, 'cause like rodeo Cowboys.
- 1:23:42No, not as you want. Like an actual cowboy, Yeah.
- 1:23:45I'd rather have like, a like a ranch cowboy.
- 1:23:46I mean, like, we can go to rodeos and stuff, like be like,
- 1:23:49still be like super handy with the rope.
- 1:23:50Yeah. And like, you still do all the
- 1:23:51things. But like a full time rodeo guy.
- 1:23:55No thanks. All right, so basically.
- 1:23:56What we're gonna think we're. Gonna put this clip on TikTok
- 1:23:59for her and we're gonna like tag, make sure we use all the
- 1:24:03hashtags. We're gonna find her a little
- 1:24:06like a ranch cowboy, OK? We're going to be her wing men
- 1:24:09and. Wing men, I could do that.
- 1:24:11Yeah, definitely like super handy guys or definitely.
- 1:24:14Yeah, well, Southern hospitality is.
- 1:24:17Oh my gosh, I went to Oklahoma for like a week there and yeah,
- 1:24:23it was the most funnest time I've ever had in my life.
- 1:24:26Like, like the, the people over there are so nice.
- 1:24:30Yeah. They use their manners.
- 1:24:31They're like, they have this calm courtesy.
- 1:24:34Yeah, over there. And it's like over here.
- 1:24:36No, no, no, yeah. It's too much of A West Coast
- 1:24:39like. Oh my gosh, it's like freaking
- 1:24:41in California. Sometimes.
- 1:24:42Yeah, well, it's because they all moved here exactly that
- 1:24:44wasn't. That out loud?
- 1:24:47That's why I whispered it. Keep your politics over there.
- 1:24:51That's what I'm saying to you. You sound as all bad trust.
- 1:24:56Dude. California, that's a whole
- 1:24:58different thing. How are the California Cowboys
- 1:25:02Cowgirls out there? Mean there's a lot of Mean Girls
- 1:25:06out there. Yeah, there's a lot of Mean
- 1:25:08Girls. But like, if you get like your a
- 1:25:11good circle and like there's a lot of good girls, right?
- 1:25:13Like Kalia, she's like I love like all to death.
- 1:25:16She sounds really nice. She's such a nice girl, that's.
- 1:25:18Her name. I forgot her name.
- 1:25:19Kalia. Yep.
- 1:25:20Kalia. And then I had another friend,
- 1:25:22same son. I have like, I mean, like, I
- 1:25:24have a lot of girlfriends, but like, I try to keep it super,
- 1:25:26super small because, like, girls are mean.
- 1:25:29Yeah. And like girls like because
- 1:25:32drama. I Yes.
- 1:25:34Drama. So much drama.
- 1:25:35I had no idea about that until I had daughters, yeah.
- 1:25:38Yeah, girls are the worst. Yeah, I just, I just thought
- 1:25:41like. Friends are mean.
- 1:25:42They're So they don't do anything.
- 1:25:44Yeah. I mean, like they're gonna be on
- 1:25:45like guide team uppers. They'll say anything about you
- 1:25:48and everything. But they'll forget.
- 1:25:50They'll forget, yes. Or they like handle it right
- 1:25:53then and there. Girls just start talking shit
- 1:25:55about each other. But I've.
- 1:25:57Been I've been in fist fights with some of my good friends.
- 1:25:59Yeah, but you guys, I'm sure, are still good friends, right?
- 1:26:02That girls don't do that. I don't.
- 1:26:03Be like see you later talking shit on you for the rest.
- 1:26:05Of the I literally I literally got into a fist fight with with
- 1:26:08my friend Angel at the Filiberto's parking lot on 91st
- 1:26:13and. Grand.
- 1:26:15To Filiberto's. Yeah, well, we were out one
- 1:26:18night. You know, we're having fun.
- 1:26:21We went to go to Filiberto's, get some burritos and I had to
- 1:26:25use the bathroom. So I went over by this light to
- 1:26:29go to the bathroom and my friend Angel got a burrito and he hates
- 1:26:33onions. He he like took a bite of it,
- 1:26:36got a onion and just turned and threw the burrito.
- 1:26:39Oh my God, right now, mind you, I just bought it like a brand
- 1:26:43new hat, right? And my and my hats were like my
- 1:26:45thing. Brand new hat had it on, burrito
- 1:26:49just comes bam, right in my face.
- 1:26:52Yeah, or not in my face, like right on my head.
- 1:26:56Oh man. And I was so mad.
- 1:26:59And I told him I was like, what did I get done?
- 1:27:00I want to, I want to come out. I'm gonna fight you, you know?
- 1:27:04And this was like the longest piss I've ever took in.
- 1:27:06My life. You're like just.
- 1:27:07What I I swear I'm coming. Swear I'm coming.
- 1:27:11I'm going to come get you, you know, And then I get done.
- 1:27:13I go over there and we we fight. I can't even imagine you pushing
- 1:27:17it. Literally, I know.
- 1:27:18And then like, literally, like right after, you know, like, we
- 1:27:21get done and we stood up and we shook each other's hands.
- 1:27:25We gave each other a hug. You're like, man, that was
- 1:27:27crazy. Girls don't do that and it
- 1:27:29honestly things would be better off if we would.
- 1:27:33Well no, because girls are scrappy too.
- 1:27:35Like I it would just make it 10 times worse.
- 1:27:37But they don't talk about their. Problems they don't.
- 1:27:40And like, I lost a super, super good friend.
- 1:27:42Like we've been friends for years.
- 1:27:42And like we did not talk about like our feelings very much.
- 1:27:44And like, so like we lost friendship.
- 1:27:46Yeah. And it sucks.
- 1:27:47And like when people don't talk about their feelings, I'm like,
- 1:27:50I'm a super, like big talker. I just want to talk about it.
- 1:27:53But you can get mad at me. Don't care.
- 1:27:54But just like, tell me why you're mad at me, right?
- 1:27:56Like put it out there. Explain like, it's going to hurt
- 1:27:58my feelings maybe, But like, is that fine?
- 1:28:01Yeah, just tell me. Tell me what?
- 1:28:02It's you can't fix it if you don't know.
- 1:28:04Yeah. Exactly.
- 1:28:06Like just just to be truthful, that's.
- 1:28:08All I ask. Right.
- 1:28:10So people, it's hard for people to be truthful, I guess.
- 1:28:12Yep, if you can, If you got a couple of good ones, man, keep
- 1:28:16them around. Exactly.
- 1:28:17Be straightforward. That's all I ask and be like you
- 1:28:19like you have to like calm down their shit, but like hey, you're
- 1:28:22doing this. Can we like?
- 1:28:23Can we not and just? Like, yeah, you're being an
- 1:28:24asshole. Stop it.
- 1:28:25Can you stop being an asshole right now?
- 1:28:26Like I love you. That's what I'm telling you
- 1:28:28because I love you. Right.
- 1:28:30So, yeah. All right.
- 1:28:31I have one more question before we wrap up.
- 1:28:33What's up? If you could give.
- 1:28:36I have a question too. I have a question.
- 1:28:38Too OK, so we OK. Two questions. 2 questions.
- 1:28:40Before we wrap up, yeah, my question.
- 1:28:41Yeah. First, first, shut up, Shane,
- 1:28:44Shut up. Question Time, all right.
- 1:28:48Shut your time. All right?
- 1:28:49OK. Can I go?
- 1:28:51Are you going to talk? I'm.
- 1:28:52Really going to do it. Looks like I don't trust you.
- 1:28:57It's a very serious question. God bless.
- 1:28:59Leave me alone for your question.
- 1:29:00I'll. Answer a question I'm gonna.
- 1:29:02Punch you right in your face. I don't even want to ask myself.
- 1:29:08Yeah, go. Ahead, go ahead.
- 1:29:11Well, now I have to collect myself.
- 1:29:12OK, you've asked yours and I'm all in with mine.
- 1:29:15OK. Are you sure?
- 1:29:18Yes, go. I'm not going to interrupt you.
- 1:29:20What? What's on your algorithm?
- 1:29:23What? What?
- 1:29:24Yeah, Like what? Like is there like a thing on
- 1:29:26your algorithm, like on your social media that.
- 1:29:29Like I'm glad I'm going last. Is is just on there?
- 1:29:33OK, I'll give you mine. OK.
- 1:29:35OK. So like mine right now I'm into
- 1:29:41removing, sorry. It's removing ingrown toenails.
- 1:29:49Yeah. Oh, like so like what's like
- 1:29:52what you see on your feet? Yes, Oh my God, like the
- 1:29:54toenails grow in and so like right now I just that's all I am
- 1:29:59just watching is just these duck these doctors cutting the ends
- 1:30:03of toenails. I honestly, I and.
- 1:30:05They pull them out and they're so long, like they look like
- 1:30:08shark fins sometimes. So that's why I'm I'm just
- 1:30:11asking. OK, honestly, I really don't
- 1:30:13know. I can look right now if you want
- 1:30:14I. Don't There's like nothing.
- 1:30:17Nothing out of the ordinary. Why are you watching it that
- 1:30:19long for it to continue to come up on your algorithm?
- 1:30:21Because it's like a pimple popper thing.
- 1:30:23Honestly, it's yeah. I mean, I get that.
- 1:30:25Yeah, it's just like. It's hard to look away.
- 1:30:27It is all right well. So nothing.
- 1:30:32Nothing that I can like wait really pops up.
- 1:30:34Nothing memorable. Ingrown toenails all.
- 1:30:37Right, I was just asking. Well, I'm really glad actually
- 1:30:39that we're ending with mine. So if you could give any piece
- 1:30:42of advice for anybody, because I know that I feel like everybody,
- 1:30:46not everybody, there's a lot of people that are finally living
- 1:30:48out their childhood dreams, like me for instance, with horses and
- 1:30:52living this lifestyle and stuff. If you can give any piece of
- 1:30:54advice to those people, what would you give them?
- 1:30:57Do not be so hard on yourself because I am one of the people
- 1:31:01to be so freaking hard on myself with like I had to give myself
- 1:31:03this talk like every day. You're doing great.
- 1:31:05You're still like this young like do not get so hard on
- 1:31:09yourself. Like yes, like definitely ask
- 1:31:10for your a lot of yourself, but like don't expect yourself to
- 1:31:14live up to your expectations every single day.
- 1:31:16Yeah, like definitely like set goals, set set like good long
- 1:31:20term goals and set short term goals.
- 1:31:23You don't like get to those goals right away.
- 1:31:25It's OK. Yeah, like you still have.
- 1:31:27Your I love that. You still have your entire life
- 1:31:29to set those goals and get to those goals.
- 1:31:31Yeah. Set the ones that you really
- 1:31:34want to get to and you really want to figure out if you don't
- 1:31:37get it all, it's OK. Like you don't have to get to
- 1:31:39them right away, right? But just do not be so hard on
- 1:31:42yourself like whatsoever and be patient.
- 1:31:44It's hard. It's hard not to be hard on
- 1:31:45yourself, but like just be patient with yourself and just
- 1:31:48let it ride out. Especially since like you're on
- 1:31:521000 pound, 1100 LB animal, you know what I mean?
- 1:31:55So that's I love that. Yeah, and and like you're like
- 1:31:58you're big time. Yeah, seriously.
- 1:32:00And I want you to think about what you just told me when
- 1:32:03you're going into, when we're, we're manifesting it into
- 1:32:07existence. Remember, we're going, we're
- 1:32:09going, we're going to be in the $1,000,000 breakaway.
- 1:32:12Yes, we are. And don't be so hard on
- 1:32:14yourself. Yeah, so.
- 1:32:17You're 21, you got a whole. Whole Gosh, you're still so
- 1:32:20young, OK. I'm telling and I'm 39 and her
- 1:32:25husband's old as dirt. OK, we love you.
