• 2:03
  Speaker 1: What?
• 2:04
Speaker 3: Well, back then they called them Tudors.
• 2:07
  Speaker 3: T-u-d-o-r.
• 2:08
Speaker 3: Yeah, tudors, I don't know why, but Shoebox, I call it a shoebox, yeah that's kind of a common name, that's how I know I couldn't think of the name.
• 2:18
Speaker 1: Yeah Well, you know that kind of really, oh yeah, yeah, it's only one.
• 2:23
Speaker 3: In fact, some of them even had a headlight right there.
• 2:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, my aunt had one like that, like a Tucker.
• 2:31
Speaker 1: Well, I was thinking more along the lines of the Studebaker.
• 2:33
Speaker 1: My brother had a 49 Studebaker with that thing in the middle.
• 2:36
Speaker 3: I get a lot of people that come up to me and they'll say is that a Studebaker?
• 2:40
  Speaker 3: And I'll say, no, ma'am, that's a Ford car Right.
• 2:43
Speaker 1: Yeah, and the roof line is the giveaway to me on the side.
• 2:52
Speaker 3: If you didn't know, there's not a Studebaker that looks like that on the side Right.
• 2:54
Speaker 3: Yeah, and I've took both vent windows out, you know.
• 2:56
  Speaker 1: Oh, you did.
• 2:57
Speaker 3: They had a front vent and a rear vent and I took it out to sort of make it look like a two-door hardtop.
• 3:02
Speaker 1: Well it out, sort of make it look like a two-door hardtop.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: Well, it looks great it does.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: Now did you do the restoration on that yourself?
• 3:05
  Speaker 3: well, I'm a retired firefighter.
• 3:08
Speaker 1: I worked 33 years for the waco fire you know, jackie hansen I'm afraid so but we don't want, oh, we don't want to talk about him.
• 3:15
Speaker 3: No, I just I thought y'all wanted to talk about my car.
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: We do.
• 3:18
Speaker 1: I know how you guys are.
• 3:21
Speaker 3: Well my captain in the Waco fire department built hot rods.
• 3:25
Speaker 3: He come up one day in a 55 Crown Vic.
• 3:28
  Speaker 3: I told him.
• 3:30
Speaker 3: I said, man, I'd like to get me a hot rod.
• 3:32
Speaker 3: So that's the fourth car me and him has built.
• 3:34
Speaker 3: Now I say me and him, all I did.
• 3:37
Speaker 3: He say, rub here, I'd rub there, I'd take paint off.
• 3:41
Speaker 3: But that car we built, it, painted it, put the motor in it, drive train front end.
• 3:48
Speaker 3: We did all the work ourselves.
• 3:50
Speaker 1: Has it got the original chassis underneath it?
• 3:52
Speaker 3: From the front fender back.
• 3:54
Speaker 3: It's got a new clip under it.
• 3:56
Speaker 1: Got you a front clip.
• 3:57
Speaker 3: Mustang II clip and a Fat man front end, they call it.
• 4:01
Speaker 1: Nice, yes, that's an aftermarket supplier, correct?
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: Yes, right.
• 4:05
Speaker 3: And it's got a four link on it.
• 4:06
Speaker 3: Four link For the back and the motor.
• 4:08
  Speaker 3: The motor's a Mustang a 5.0.
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: A 5.0 Mustang, 3.02 Mustang.
• 4:15
Speaker 3: Fuel injected power, air whole bit.
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: Yeah, vintage air.
• 4:20
Speaker 1: How is that vintage air putting it in there?
• 4:23
Speaker 3: It's not too hard to put in, but I don't know A lot of hot rodders.
• 4:27
Speaker 3: We have trouble with our air conditionings, but so far down on this trip that one's been great.
• 4:32
Speaker 3: So where were you from originally?
• 4:34
Speaker 3: Where did you drive it in from Waco?
• 4:36
  Speaker 2: area.
• 4:36
  Speaker 3: Waco area.
• 4:37
Speaker 3: Yes, sir, I live in a little town called Axtell, right outside of Waco An hour and a half or so yeah about an hour and a half.
• 4:43
Speaker 2: So the Doss sales.
• 4:44
  Speaker 2: That's your company.
• 4:45
Speaker 3: That was my dad's business and I was selling pens and pencils and calendars and key rings and matchbooks and embroidery since 1965 myself.
• 4:57
Speaker 1: And I just recently sold the company and you were a firefighter.
• 4:59
Speaker 3: Yes, sir, yeah, praise the Lord for that job.
• 5:03
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 5:03
Speaker 3: I got married when I was a week out of high school, still suffering with the same woman.
• 5:11
Speaker 2: She's not here, is she Been 58 years?
• 5:13
Speaker 3: Yeah, but she's in town shopping I'm not too worried about this here.
• 5:18
Speaker 2: She might be here listening to us on the app.
• 5:19
  Speaker 2: She might be.
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: We'll send her a copy.
• 5:22
Speaker 3: She's used to me goofing off.
• 5:24
Speaker 1: So I want to know more about the car.
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 5:28
Speaker 3: So you told me about the motor, the car.
• 5:29
Speaker 1: Did you do any modifications to the engine, or is it just a stock?
• 5:32
  Speaker 3: It's a stock Mustang motor fuel-injected Mustang.
• 5:35
Speaker 3: But there's a guy here today and I think y'all have interviewed him before Ben Danford Danford.
• 5:41
  Speaker 2: Danford, Danford.
• 5:42
  Speaker 3: But a gentleman, he's a black gentleman.
• 5:44
Speaker 3: Yes, that was his high school car, that car.
• 5:48
Speaker 3: I bought that car off of him and the funny thing, the license plate said CAT, c-a-t and then some numbers.
• 5:56
Speaker 3: I've still got the license plate at home.
• 5:59
Speaker 3: But my other buddy here that's driving that yellow 48 Ford over there here, that's driving that yellow 48 ford over there.
• 6:09
Speaker 3: He, he wanted, ben danford wanted a coke box that my partner had, david kirk.
• 6:11
Speaker 3: So I had to give ben danford 750 dollars for the car and then I had to give david kirk 750 dollars for the coke box.
• 6:19
Speaker 3: The coke box went to ben, so that's been a waco car for quite a while.
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: Proudly so.
• 6:25
Speaker 2: Yes, sir, you notice how he refers to people.
• 6:29
Speaker 1: My buddy over here with a 49er and my buddy over there.
• 6:30
  Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: That's what it's all about.
• 6:33
Speaker 3: Another unique little feature on my car.
• 6:35
Speaker 3: Of course the headlights and the taillights are both French and the license plate light's French.
• 6:40
Speaker 3: But the hood, the pinstriping, if you get a close look at it, I got a guitar in there.
• 6:46
Speaker 3: I'm a bluegrass gospel guitar picker and dobro player and harmonica, and all that and fact that night over here at the hotel we get our guitars out and jam was that you?
• 6:58
Speaker 3: Last night that we heard, I'm afraid.
• 6:59
Speaker 3: So was it bad.
• 7:00
Speaker 3: It was bad, okay, okay, yeah, it was, it was.
• 7:02
Speaker 2: It was bad, okay, okay.
• 7:04
  Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't hear it.
• 7:05
Speaker 3: It was very electric from the place I had to go.
• 7:07
  Speaker 3: He's the one I didn't hear it.
• 7:09
Speaker 3: I kept you all up at night.
• 7:11
Speaker 1: No, you did good.
• 7:12
Speaker 1: We're just playing with you, but you know that.
• 7:14
Speaker 3: But the car's all it's built, not bought.
• 7:20
Speaker 1: Right, but I don't mean to be picking on the motor, but what year is the motor?
• 7:25
Speaker 3: You know, I'm not real sure.
• 7:27
Speaker 1: Where did you buy it from, I?
• 7:28
Speaker 3: bought it from an individual in Dawson, texas, and he just put an ad in there for a Mustang motor.
• 7:34
  Speaker 3: I think it's about a 90s somewhere along in there.
• 7:37
  Speaker 1: Okay 302.
• 7:38
Speaker 1: Gotcha 5.0 fuel injected.
• 7:40
Speaker 1: I was just going to say so.
• 7:41
Speaker 1: It's an early fuel injected car.
• 7:43
  Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
• 7:43
Speaker 1: Yeah, not an SVT, nothing like that.
• 7:46
Speaker 1: No, no, no, no.
• 7:48
  Speaker 3: It's not a.
• 7:48
Speaker 3: Cobra or anything special, but it runs good, sounds good.
• 7:51
Speaker 1: It gets me there and back and you drive it.
• 7:53
Speaker 3: I do drive it.
• 7:54
Speaker 3: That's not a trailer queen, I drive it.
• 7:57
  Speaker 1: That's good.
• 7:57
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: On nice days.
• 8:00
Speaker 3: Well, I drove it in the rain.
• 8:02
Speaker 1: Does the windshield wipers work?
• 8:03
Speaker 1: They work, but not very good.
• 8:05
Speaker 3: I was just going to say are they still vacuum operated?
• 8:07
Speaker 3: No, they're electric, they are yeah.
• 8:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, Because I think that that car had vacuum operated wipers if I'm not mistaken, it did.
• 8:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, what a pain in the butt that was.
• 8:16
Speaker 1: Don't step on the gas when you've got a big rainstorm going on because you are blind.
• 8:22
Speaker 1: Brainstorm going on because you are blind.
• 8:29
  Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly now.
• 8:29
Speaker 1: Uh, how, how difficult it is to find body parts for that thing damn near impossible.
• 8:32
Speaker 3: Well, I got another buddy's got a wrecking yard, he's got two or three of them in there, but uh, I know a guy I know a guy that's the most.
• 8:39
Speaker 3: Usually, when we build one, we put the feelers out for parts.
• 8:43
Speaker 3: You know If you'll notice my airbrush chrome?
• 8:46
Speaker 3: Yes, and the forward emblem on the side, yeah.
• 8:49
Speaker 3: Now, if I was to have a wreck, that would be hard to redo.
• 8:55
Speaker 1: Well, who painted that on there?
• 8:58
  Speaker 3: Another buddy.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, why would it be so hard to do?
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: I realize that it's a lot of.
• 9:04
Speaker 3: Have you ever dealt with artists and pinstripers?
• 9:07
Speaker 1: Yes, I have that's why it's difficult right, yeah, yeah.
• 9:09
Speaker 1: So is he still around and upholstery people.
• 9:13
Speaker 3: Yes, sir, he's still around.
• 9:14
Speaker 1: Yeah Well, that's beautiful work.
• 9:16
Speaker 1: To be honest with you, I didn't look.
• 9:19
Speaker 3: Of course I can't A little farther away Another buddy of yours, two of them, in fact.
• 9:27
Speaker 3: The one on the left, one got the wrecking yard.
• 9:29
Speaker 1: If y'all need any parts, that's good to know Now, was that airbrushed side piece on there?
• 9:36
Speaker 1: Did that actually have that Ford emblem up in it originally?
• 9:40
  Speaker 3: No.
• 9:41
  Speaker 1: That's my touch.
• 9:41
  Speaker 1: I like that a lot.
• 9:44
  Speaker 3: I'm a good designer.
• 9:45
Speaker 3: I can't do nothing without my buddy helping me.
• 9:48
Speaker 3: You know welding or cutting or none of that stuff.
• 9:51
Speaker 1: You've got a good imagination, I get some good ideas, you know.
• 9:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good, I like it a lot.
• 9:55
  Speaker 3: Now that car.
• 9:56
Speaker 3: If you'll notice the back of it, I've got a sticker on it called Red Rider.
• 9:59
Speaker 3: Okay, okay, red Rider in the 50s was a cowboy star, you know western, I do know.
• 10:06
Speaker 3: He had a little buddy named Little Beaver.
• 10:09
Speaker 3: Robert Blake paid Little Beaver and I've got a rat rod at home, 50 model Ford that I call Little Beaver, so that's Red Ryder.
• 10:21
Speaker 3: And then I got Little Beaver in the garage.
• 10:23
  Speaker 2: It's got a.
• 10:23
Speaker 2: I told you there was a story about it.
• 10:24
Speaker 3: It's got an inline six with two one barrels.
• 10:27
Speaker 3: Yeah, what kind of manifolds.
• 10:28
Speaker 1: You got uh edelbrock and are you sure, it's often, often, often now, because I had two one barrels.
• 10:36
Speaker 3: uh, it's got a beer keg for a gas tank, 37 lights, 29 grill shell, a four foot wrench for the back bumper and I got JR Cash, one piece at a time, painted on it.
• 10:49
Speaker 2: That's my idea, you got it from a buddy of his but anyway, I may have it here next year, I hope.
• 10:57
Speaker 2: You should bring it.
• 10:58
Speaker 2: I don't think there's another little beaver out here.
• 11:00
Speaker 2: You should bring it.
• 11:00
Speaker 3: No, there's no beavers out here.
• 11:02
  Speaker 3: I've been looking.
• 11:04
  Speaker 1: Doss Sales Company.
• 11:05
Speaker 1: Yes, sir, is it still in business?
• 11:07
Speaker 3: Yes, sir, sort of I'm still selling, but I did sell my company.
• 11:12
Speaker 3: It's now Pioneer Sales and Promotions Waco Texas.
• 11:16
Speaker 3: I always remember the hand that gives gathers, so that's my motto on advertising promotional items.
• 11:24
Speaker 1: Remember that, David, because I won't.
• 11:27
Speaker 3: He's got some oriental woofel dust over where he'll sprinkle on that sail when, I leave.
• 11:33
  Speaker 1: Uh-huh, yeah, yeah.
• 11:35
  Speaker 1: So the wheels.
• 11:40
  Speaker 3: The wheels.
• 11:40
  Speaker 3: They're stock.
• 11:42
  Speaker 1: No yeah.
• 11:43
Speaker 3: They had trim rings on them.
• 11:44
Speaker 3: Well, yes, sir, no, they're stock.
• 11:44
Speaker 3: No, yeah, they had trim rings on them.
• 11:45
Speaker 3: Well, yes, sir, no, no, no, the trim rings are okay, but I had wide whites on it and I blew one out during COVID and I could not get one ordered nowhere.
• 11:55
Speaker 3: So I bought some cheap black walls and I hadn't gone back, switched back, yet I hadn't switched back yet, because it's the money situation.
• 12:02
Speaker 1: Are you going to switch back to whites?
• 12:03
Speaker 1: I hadn't switched back yet, because it's the money situation.
• 12:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, I'll put some wide whites on it probably.
• 12:07
Speaker 3: I think they look pretty cool.
• 12:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, because I like that look too.
• 12:12
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 12:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, because back in the day the wide whites meant you had money and those were fixed up.
• 12:17
  Speaker 1: Dolled up cars.
• 12:18
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 12:18
Speaker 1: Most of the cars sold looked like that.
• 12:20
Speaker 3: You know I'd like to get a set of cragers for it.
• 12:23
Speaker 3: I thought about that, but I've just never uh go stock, never been there.
• 12:27
Speaker 2: I sort of like that look there and you can get the wide whites from uh coker tire right yeah, um, so those are actually.
• 12:35
Speaker 1: Are those, let's see, those are stock hubcaps yes, sir now they didn't have an optional smaller hubcap back then that's it, that's the one.
• 12:44
Speaker 3: That's just the cap right there.
• 12:45
Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, the 49 was a little different than that it's got the little dog ears on the actual wheel that it pops out yeah right, uh-huh, well, uh, that's very nice and the only difference between that car on a 49 and a 50, the 49 had a screw-on gas cap back in the back where that one's got a flip lid.
• 13:05
Speaker 3: Under the taillight and that no under right on the side of the car, oh, okay.
• 13:10
Speaker 3: And then the park lights on the 50, you see that little chrome around the park lights, yeah, uh-huh.
• 13:15
Speaker 3: Well, the 49 is just a park light.
• 13:18
Speaker 3: There there's no chrome.
• 13:19
Speaker 3: And of course that's also a pretty famous car because of Robert Mitchum in Thunder Road.
• 13:24
Speaker 3: Oh, and of course that's also a pretty famous car because of Robert Mitchum in Thunder Road.
• 13:26
Speaker 3: Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 13:27
Speaker 1: Did he wreck it in Thunder Road?
• 13:28
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, at the end.
• 13:29
Speaker 1: Yeah, big wreck, big wreck yeah, well now the chrome around the turn signals.
• 13:37
  Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
• 13:39
Speaker 1: Was that stock with that car?
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: That's stock.
• 13:41
Speaker 1: Yes, sir, With that car.
• 13:42
Speaker 1: That grill everything on that front end stock, except the French lights and the nose deck.
• 13:50
Speaker 1: And you say that there was an option that you could get a headlight in there at the Dagmar.
• 13:55
  Speaker 3: I've seen them.
• 13:55
  Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
• 13:56
  Speaker 1: Interesting.
• 13:57
Speaker 1: Yeah Well, there's something to be said for those Dagmars.
• 14:02
Speaker 1: Of course, back then they didn't call them that, no, because the woman that the Dagmar was named for those came out on the Cadillac.
• 14:12
Speaker 1: Yeah Right, two of them, right, yeah, and they were huge.
• 14:16
Speaker 3: Some guys call them Dolly Partons now.
• 14:18
Speaker 3: Oh Well, younger guys, I can see where younger guys would do that.
• 14:23
Speaker 2: So you're dating yourself by calling them Dagmars Don.
• 14:26
  Speaker 1: Dagmars Dagmars.
• 14:27
Speaker 1: And if you look that up, if you Google search that there's a picture of the woman.
• 14:33
Speaker 3: We just named that we did a segment on it.
• 14:35
Speaker 1: And she was actually very attractive back in the 50s.
• 14:38
  Speaker 1: Large bosomed woman.
• 14:41
Speaker 1: Amen Big bumpers, yeah, large bosomed woman, amen, big bumpers.
• 14:45
Speaker 1: Yeah Well, they actually started putting rubber bumpers on the end of them to kind of tone it down, because they were rather large when they first came out.
• 14:55

• 18:26
Speaker 1: It's a once-a-year gathering up here in Granbury, texas, which is a cute little town You'd really like it and it's a great park here Hewlett Park and we kind of turned our set around this year.
• 18:37
Speaker 1: So, instead of looking at the naked parking lot back there that we had in the past, now you can see a good array of cars, and that's just what you see up front, because they go on, layer upon layer upon layer, back to the road, back behind us, back there, and also back over here to the our left, to your right, a lot of cars over there.
• 18:57
Speaker 1: So, at any rate, having a great time going to wrap up today's show here, in just a few minutes, let's do the today in auto history, because we got a lot of history here in the park we do, we do, we do and uh, june the 2nd 1992, the national corvette museum breaks ground.
• 19:15
Speaker 2: a couple of weeks ago we talked about the corvette convoy coming up labor day weekend to celebrate happens every five years to celebrate the anniversary of that museum, and an interesting thing I found was when they broke ground Arcus Duntoff was driving a bulldozer to help do some of that as part of the groundbreaking ceremony.
• 19:33
Speaker 1: I met Zora and actually have a picture in the studio of him with Bill and Sharon Seitz, myself and some of the other car club members, and he appeared at a Corvette Expo.
• 19:44
Speaker 1: This is long before, clearly, that he passed away, but he was considered the father of the corvette yes, yes, a lot of people confused, that being that he's the guy that designed it.
• 19:56
Speaker 2: He's not the designer, but he's the father.
• 19:58
Speaker 2: He's the one that made it popular and made it what it is today.
• 20:01
Speaker 2: And a couple of things that they have on display.
• 20:03
Speaker 2: They have a 1953 model corvette, first year production.
• 20:06
Speaker 2: They only built 300 of them.
• 20:08
Speaker 2: They also have a 63 corvette stingray split window coupe.
• 20:12
Speaker 2: That's in there and the really unusual one I thought of 1969 corvette zl1 only two produced then.
• 20:21
Speaker 2: This car was had an all aluminum 427 cubic inch V8 engine.
• 20:25
Speaker 2: It was the most powerful Corvette ever built up to that point.
• 20:28
Speaker 2: Then it goes on to have some other ZR1s and some 2009, some later model ones.
• 20:33
Speaker 2: But the museum opened to the public on September 2, 1994, which is the reason they're having their anniversary this September with a Corvette convoy.
• 20:44
Speaker 2: If you're interested in getting involved in some of that, go to Corvette Convoy or go to the National Corvette Museum for more.
• 20:49
Speaker 2: June the 3rd 1972, hot Rod Lincoln reaches November 9th on the billboard.
• 20:57
Speaker 2: This is a song written by Charlie Ryan.
• 21:01
Speaker 2: He had a real Hot Rod Lincoln that he wrote this song about Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airman recorded it in 1972.
• 21:09
Speaker 2: Commander Cody now lives in upstate New York.
• 21:11
Speaker 2: Wow, june the 4th 1996, henry Ford was working as a chief engineer at the main plant of the Edison Illuminating Company.
• 21:19
Speaker 2: He was on a 24-hour call-out type thing so he had a little bit of time to experiment with his other pet project, which was building a horseless carriage with a gasoline-powered engine, built it in his shed in his spare time on Bagley Avenue.
• 21:33
Speaker 2: He unveiled the Quadricycle on this date and it was the first automobile he ever designed or drove.
• 21:39
Speaker 2: Wow, then, on June 5, 1924, this was the day that the 10 millionth Ford, a Model T, rolled off the assembly line at Ford's Highland Park plant in Michigan.
• 21:50
Speaker 2: To celebrate that and to kind of help promote things, they took that car and used the Lincoln Highway, which was a highway that stretched out kind of like Route 66.
• 22:02
Speaker 2: Frank Kulik was a driving, a racing driver, and he went that highway length and he stopped at every town along the line to showcase.
• 22:11
Speaker 2: The vehicle, had some special badges on it about being the 10 millionth car and it went on to sell 16 million in total before it was discontinued in 1927.
• 22:22
Speaker 2: And finally, june the 6th 1933.
• 22:25
Speaker 1: I remember it well, I remember it well.
• 22:26
  Speaker 2: Remember it well.
• 22:27
Speaker 2: You were probably there when the first drive-in movie theater opened in Camden, New Jersey and it was created.
• 22:36
Speaker 2: It wasn't called a drive-in, it was a park-in theater that was created that's what they called it with a patent in it and eventually there was up to 4,000 theaters at the max and last known count was only 300 survived in the country today I like what you did with the picture too, because you used the stars and stripes.
• 22:53
  Speaker 1: Yeehaw.
• 22:54
Speaker 2: And that's this week in auto history.
• 22:57
Speaker 1: Well, that is just tremendous, Just tremendous, tremendioso.
• 23:01
Speaker 1: Thank you so much for taking us down that trip.
• 23:04
  Speaker 1: Memory lane.
• 23:05
Speaker 1: Memory lane On memory lane.
• 23:07
  Speaker 2: Mr Bars.
• 23:07
Speaker 2: Well, I really like the Hot Rod Lincoln because I remember that song.
• 23:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, I was singing it in my head.
• 23:11
Speaker 1: Can you sing it now?
• 23:14
Speaker 1: No, just in my head.
• 23:15
Speaker 1: I want to continue the Hemingsville Cars Roundup because I thought it was pretty interesting.
• 23:22
  Speaker 2: Okay.
• 23:24
Speaker 1: C3 Corvette, which is a 1982 Chevrolet Corvette and it's sold.
• 23:33
Speaker 1: Very nice looking, it is a coupe and it's not a convertible or what we used to call a roadster, and it's got some custom wear wheels that I'm not a big fan of, but you can take those off.
• 23:48
Speaker 1: But it looks completely stock.
• 23:50
Speaker 1: It had absolutely no horsepower.
• 23:52
Speaker 1: But 1982 Chevrolet Corvette what do you think that that sold for on Hemmings?
• 23:59
  Speaker 2: $9,000.
• 24:00
Speaker 2: I was going to go $14,000.
• 24:04
Speaker 1: David, did you want to join in?
• 24:06
Speaker 2: Sure, I was going to say $10,000.
• 24:09
  Speaker 1: $13,650.
• 24:10
Speaker 2: Well, we're kind of in the ballpark there.
• 24:12
  Speaker 2: Yeah, you are.
• 24:13
Speaker 1: Not really expensive or overpriced and you know, it may have 100,000 miles on it.
• 24:20
  Speaker 1: I don't know, don't really care.
• 24:21
Speaker 1: Here's one that was kind of surprising A 1973 Corvette.
• 24:27
Speaker 1: It looks stock, I don't know, but I got a feeling that there's something special about it because a 73 chevrolet corvette just is not all that special.
• 24:36
Speaker 1: In my book and I'm a corvette guy this car sold for 26 250 wow, I was thinking, 17 must have been a big block here's one for dav A 1995 Ford Mustang.
• 24:51
Speaker 1: Now, what do you think a convertible version of that would sell for?
• 24:53
  Speaker 2: 95.
• 24:54
Speaker 1: 95 Ford Mustang If.
• 24:57
Speaker 2: I was buying it probably 8,000.
• 25:00
Speaker 1: You would buy this car 7 to 8.
• 25:02
  Speaker 1: 7 to 8,000?
• 25:03
Speaker 1: Yep, I'm in there.
• 25:04
  Speaker 1: Yeah, no, 16,800.
• 25:07
Speaker 1: Wow, there's something in there.
• 25:08
  Speaker 1: Yeah, no $16,800.
• 25:09
Speaker 2: Wow, there's something else there.
• 25:10
Speaker 1: Well, I mean, it's probably a nice clean car.
• 25:12
  Speaker 2: Painted or something.
• 25:13
Speaker 1: Well, it's all fixed up, it's got 100 miles on it, it's all gussied up In that very vein.
• 25:17
Speaker 1: Let me come up with that Now.
• 25:19
  Speaker 1: That was $16,800.
• 25:20
Speaker 1: Here's a 1989 Ford Mustang which I personally kind of like those A little boxy, yeah, a little boxy.
• 25:26
Speaker 1: I like the look of those cars.
• 25:28
Speaker 1: 89 Ford Mustang convertible.
• 25:30
Speaker 1: What do you think that one sold for, if the other one sold for $16,800.
• 25:35
  Speaker 2: Yeah, $11,000.
• 25:37
  Speaker 1: Any idea?
• 25:39
Speaker 3: I can't tell you if you're going higher or lower.
• 25:41
Speaker 3: I'm going to say, well, it's higher than $11,000.
• 25:44
  Speaker 1: $19,000.
• 25:45
  Speaker 1: $16,275.
• 25:46
Speaker 1: Whereas the 95 Ford Mustang sold for 16, 8.
• 25:51
Speaker 1: That's why I kind of put them in there.
• 25:53
Speaker 1: Here's one for Mars.
• 25:55
Speaker 1: No Dagmars on it that I can see, but it does have some fender skirts on it.
• 26:01
Speaker 1: A 1958 Chevrolet Impala you got a vision of that.
• 26:05
Speaker 1: Yes, sir, this is a coupe.
• 26:07
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, all right.
• 26:08
Speaker 1: Lots of chrome, lots of chrome.
• 26:09
Speaker 1: You got a vision of that yes, sir.
• 26:10
Speaker 1: This is a coupe.
• 26:10
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, all right.
• 26:10
Speaker 1: Lots of chrome, lots of chrome.
• 26:11
Speaker 1: Big car, huge, 1958 Chevy.
• 26:13
  Speaker 2: Impala Double headlights.
• 26:14
Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, but I don't know the condition of it, but I think that it's a fairly new restoration $17,000.
• 26:25
Speaker 1: Well, let me finish.
• 26:26
  Speaker 2: All right, 25.
• 26:27
Speaker 1: It also has the tire outside the.
• 26:32
  Speaker 3: Continental kit.
• 26:33
Speaker 1: The Continental kit on the outside.
• 26:35
Speaker 2: Top of the line.
• 26:36
Speaker 1: It's bronze with a white top.
• 26:39
Speaker 1: Now what do you think that that would sell for All?
• 26:41
  Speaker 2: right, I'm changing 25.
• 26:43
  Speaker 1: I'll go 23.
• 26:46
  Speaker 2: I'll go 35.
• 26:47
  Speaker 1: How about 47, 250?
• 26:50
Speaker 2: Yeah, this is a nice car.
• 26:50
Speaker 2: It was the two-tone paint, I kept telling you.
• 26:52
Speaker 1: It was a nice car, but you wouldn't take the bite.
• 26:54
Speaker 2: Now, we've been listening all day.
• 26:57
Speaker 1: Here's another combo, a Ford Mustang combo that I want you guys to take a hit at.
• 27:02
Speaker 1: 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe.
• 27:07
Speaker 1: It's got the V8 insignia up on the left front fender.
• 27:12
Speaker 1: Okay, it is a 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe and it looks clean.
• 27:20
Speaker 1: It looks like it's got the original hubcaps, not hubcaps wheel covers on it.
• 27:24
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 27:26
Speaker 1: So I don't know what all has been done to it, anything like that, but what would your guess on a 65 Ford Mustang be?
• 27:34
  Speaker 2: 24.
• 27:35
  Speaker 2: 14.
• 27:36
  Speaker 2: 37.
• 27:37
  Speaker 1: 13, 650.
• 27:38

• 27:43
Speaker 2: Well, I haven't seen any of that cheap in a long time.
• 27:45

Speaker 1: 1967 Ford Mustang Same body style, modified a bit.
• 27:49
  Speaker 1: 67 Ford Mustang.
• 27:51
Speaker 1: How much do you think that would run for?
• 27:53
  Speaker 2: It's a coupe.
• 27:54
Speaker 2: It's not fastback, it's a coupe, nope, coupe.
• 27:56
  Speaker 1: It's a fastback.
• 27:57
  Speaker 2: I would drop 18.
• 27:58
  Speaker 2: 17.
• 27:59
  Speaker 1: 17.
• 28:00
