  Speaker 1: be successful and you want to be happy, if your

  Speaker 1: happiness is sometimes as it often is, tied to your success,

  Speaker 1: and if your success, oftentimes as it is, is tied

  Speaker 1: to your happiness, the two kind of go hand in

  Speaker 1: hand almost. But now you have to be using your
• 0:31
  Speaker 1: definition of success and not somebody else's. If you're using
• 0:35
  Speaker 1: someone else's definition of success, you're never going to be happy,
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: whether they've aimed too high for you or they've aimed
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: too low for you. If you're using somebody else's aim,
• 0:48
  Speaker 1: you're never going to be happy because those two are,
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: I'm sorry, tied together. I'm happy if I'm successful. I'm

  Speaker 1: not successful, I'm not going to be happy because I'm
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: going to feel like there's something else I could be
• 1:06
  Speaker 1: doing for my family, as something else I could be
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: doing for my future. It's something else I could be
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: doing to make it work. And so my success is
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: tied to my happiness, and my happiness is tied to
• 1:18
  Speaker 1: my success. Now do I take times off from all
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: of it and just sit around and be grateful and
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: happy for where I am of course, all the time.

  Speaker 1: Gratitude is a huge part of the principles of success.

  Speaker 1: That's oftentimes to overlooked. Yeah, I often sit around and

  Speaker 1: just smell the roses, just take a breath of fresh
• 1:39
  Speaker 1: air and go mad. I'm awful grateful for where I
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: am God, not meaning that I don't want more, but
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: I oftentimes stop and thank Him for right where I am,
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: because where we are is pretty good compared to where
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: we were. But now, with all that said, let me
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: share something with you. If you want to be happy
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: and successful, are going to have to put out a

  Speaker 1: massive effort. Period. Stop thinking it's going to happen any

  Speaker 1: other way. You have got to put out a massive effort.

  Speaker 1: You gotta get at it. You gotta grind, you gotta

  Speaker 1: want it. It's got to burn a little bit on

  Speaker 1: the inside of you. It's gotta make you uncomfortable not

  Speaker 1: being where you want to be. You got to have

  Speaker 1: a I'm gonna get it attitude in order for it

  Speaker 1: to get God. Period. You gotta have a I'm gonna
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: get it attitude in order for it to get God. Period.

  Speaker 1: That's the deal. No substitutions, no alternatives. This ain't sugar.

  Speaker 1: You can't use splendor instead. This ain't sugar. This is life.

  Speaker 1: You have to go get it now. All no alternatives,

  Speaker 1: Well you can pick some alternatives, but you're not gonna

  Speaker 1: be happy and successful. You got to get a little

  Speaker 1: bit of dog you. I'm sorry. Everybody got to have

  Speaker 1: some dog in you. You gotta have some bite back,

  Speaker 1: you gotta have some fight. You're gonna have to have

  Speaker 1: a little bit of kick, and sometimes the kick has

  Speaker 1: to come from yourself. You kind of quit looking for
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: other people. Always give you that little kick in the
• 3:16
  Speaker 1: rear to get you started, that little jump started in
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: the morning, to encourage you. What if they need encouraging
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: What if they ain't get they jump start for the
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: day and you waiting on they call and their encouraging word. Man,

  Speaker 1: let me tell you something. These are people that you're
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: waiting on to help you. People fail all the time.

  Speaker 1: Every person needs the Lord God Almighty. So that might
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: be one of the mornings where they need him and
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: they don't have nothing for you. Take your faith out
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: of man, put your faith in God and get at it.

  Speaker 1: You and God can make it. That'd be great if

  Speaker 1: you had a friend along the way, of course, it

  Speaker 1: would be but sometimes you're in a pattern where you

  Speaker 1: got to learn that it ain't nobody but you and him.

  Speaker 1: Sometimes sometimes you just need to know it ain't nobody

  Speaker 1: but you and God. That really ain't a bad place

  Speaker 1: to be. It really ain't. I've got some of my

  Speaker 1: best results out of my life when I just asked

  Speaker 1: God for the help, when I didn't call nobody else

  Speaker 1: to see what they thought about it. When I've went

  Speaker 1: to God, just God, I've gotten my best results. I'm

  Speaker 1: just gonna be honest with you. But you got to

  Speaker 1: get at it though. Quit expecting God to just bless

  Speaker 1: you with something and you ain't giving him nothing to

  Speaker 1: put his finger on the touch you make one step,

  Speaker 1: he'll make two. You got to be a producer out here.

  Speaker 1: You got to go out of here and get out something.

  Speaker 1: Quit asking God for a job and you ain't putting

  Speaker 1: no applications in. Stop wasting his time and yours too.

  Speaker 1: It's like the story. The man said, you know, I've

  Speaker 1: been praying, I've been praying to God to hit the lottery.

  Speaker 1: I just been praying to the Lord to hit the lottery.

  Speaker 1: One day the man just kept hearing him say that.

  Speaker 1: He said, well, do you play the lottery. He said, no,

  Speaker 1: what kind of prayers that you praying to God to
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: hit the but you're not playing the lottery? What that

  Speaker 1: don't make no sense. If you want God to touch
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: your life, give him something to touch. An effort put

  Speaker 1: in a request be sincere. But I've decided that I'm

  Speaker 1: gonna attempt so many things that's within my gift and

  Speaker 1: in my realm that I'm gonna ask God to bless
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: me with his grace. He got something to bless. He
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: just keeps on making stuff happen for me. He just
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: keeps on opening doors for me. He just keeps on
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: putting the right people in front of me. Oh and
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: it may look like the deal ain't gonna happen, as
• 5:37
  Speaker 1: oftentimes many of them do. But at the end of
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: the day, it always works out. But man, you got
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: to get at it, y'all. You got to get off
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: your butts and get at it. Ain't nobody finna walk

  Speaker 1: no checks up to you and hand them to you.

  Speaker 1: You got to get out here and get at it.

  Speaker 1: Dreams ain't nothing but dreams. Until you put some work

  Speaker 1: behind them, they become goals. You gotta put some work
