- 0:08Speaker 1: J WDW was was incredible by which WrestleMania. I made
- 0:14Speaker 1: a vlog about it. You sang the national anthem, so well,
- 0:18Speaker 1: thank you so much you doing that than like a
- 0:22Speaker 1: lot of the things we do. People love WrestleMania.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I want to go.
- 0:27Speaker 1: It is so entertaining, is so fun. It also is
- 0:30Speaker 1: like so impressive. These guys are guys and gals are
- 0:34Speaker 1: flipping each other off like you've seen it obviously on TV.
- 0:39Speaker 1: But how do they not get hurt? If only we
- 0:41Speaker 1: had someone we could ask about about that? Only funny enough.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Our next guest is a two time WWE World Champion,
- 0:49Speaker 1: a WrestleMania headliner, ranked number one in the Pro Wrestling
- 0:52Speaker 1: Illustrated five hundred. You also might know him from the
- 0:54Speaker 1: Real World Dancing with the Stars, his reality series Miss
- 0:57Speaker 1: and Missus, and now the new host of American Glad
- 1:00Speaker 1: on Amazon Prime. Please welcome our guest, Love send our
- 1:06Speaker 1: next victim in.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Popping in just like that. You like my setup in
- 1:10Speaker 3: a dude, so good professional? This is all me. Those
- 1:14Speaker 3: are lights from Amazon. Those are lights from Amazon. This
- 1:17Speaker 3: TV is just like Apple TV mirrored in like I
- 1:20Speaker 3: got it all.
- 1:23Speaker 4: You are in my house. This is my theater.
- 1:26Speaker 1: You can give us your address or you can give
- 1:27Speaker 1: us like a general area.
- 1:28Speaker 4: I'm in Vegas, Vegas.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I was you live in Vegas now?
- 1:32Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:33Speaker 3: So I I just moved here about a year ago.
- 1:36Speaker 3: And uh yeah, I mean I was in LA for
- 1:38Speaker 3: a while. I mean we used to go to Unbreakable, right, Yeah, we.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Used to work out together. Angrats on the sales I
- 1:42Speaker 1: saw from your realtors relators instagrams me.
- 1:45Speaker 4: He's all over it, He's all over that.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's been it's been a long time, Like
- 1:50Speaker 3: it was seventeen months to get sell that house.
- 1:53Speaker 4: But that house was so amazing, so incredible. You were
- 1:55Speaker 4: in Westlake Village.
- 1:58Speaker 3: So I was in LA for a while and then
- 2:00Speaker 3: that like right by Unbreakable where we used to work out,
- 2:03Speaker 3: and I was like my house kept on getting like burglarized.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Like some on a live show.
- 2:08Speaker 3: So you know how they always tell you when you're
- 2:10Speaker 3: on Instagram, don't don't put out like where you are.
- 2:14Speaker 4: I wouldn't, but my live show Monday Night Raw.
- 2:16Speaker 3: And Friday Night SmackDown, people know exactly where I am.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And was your family at home like any of these
- 2:21Speaker 1: things happened.
- 2:22Speaker 4: That's that's exactly what happened.
- 2:23Speaker 3: So my mother in law was home and literally we
- 2:28Speaker 3: can see like the burglars trying to get in.
- 2:31Speaker 4: But I have a dog that was a Doberman.
- 2:33Speaker 3: She passed away unfortunately, but she like saved my mother
- 2:36Speaker 3: in law's life, like basically because there was like five
- 2:39Speaker 3: people about to break in, but my dog scared them
- 2:42Speaker 3: all away. They hopped over the fence. I had a
- 2:43Speaker 3: huge fence too, by the way, like it was like legit,
- 2:46Speaker 3: like I had everything. So I was like, all right,
- 2:48Speaker 3: I'm about to have kids. I got to get out
- 2:50Speaker 3: of here. So I moved to Austin. Did not like Austin,
- 2:53Speaker 3: didn't like the weather, didn't like the traffic. Airport is
- 2:55Speaker 3: literally like not directs ever, so I need directs because
- 2:59Speaker 3: we travel every week with WWE. So then I moved back,
- 3:02Speaker 3: found Westlake Village, found a guard gated community, was loving
- 3:05Speaker 3: it there. And then my wife and I were just like,
- 3:09Speaker 3: why are we paying so much in taxes? Like what
- 3:11Speaker 3: are we doing? Like why don't we just move to
- 3:13Speaker 3: a like a tax free state. And so we looked
- 3:15Speaker 3: at Vegas and found this house that we absolutely loved.
- 3:18Speaker 3: We we just love the bones of it. So my wife,
- 3:21Speaker 3: basically the amazing decorator that she is, literally remodeled the
- 3:25Speaker 3: whole house, made it look incredible, and now we sold
- 3:28Speaker 3: the house in Westlake Village.
- 3:30Speaker 4: We are happy and healthy in Las Vegas and got
- 3:33Speaker 4: to listen.
- 3:33Speaker 3: To your beautiful voice Joe at the at the Allegiant
- 3:37Speaker 3: Stadium wrestling.
- 3:38Speaker 4: By the way, can I just say this, I knew
- 3:41Speaker 4: you had a good voice.
- 3:42Speaker 3: I've always known you guys have great voices, right, but
- 3:45Speaker 3: the national anthem is a whole nother world.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Yeah, Like, we don't like doing it, nor do we
- 3:49Speaker 1: really ever do it. Yeah, it's one of the tougher
- 3:51Speaker 1: songs to sing. It's actually a song that we wrote.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
- 3:56Speaker 4: I wasn't done complimenting. Yeah, awe.
- 4:00Speaker 3: I was in awe at like, how well you did
- 4:03Speaker 3: the national anthem at Allegiant Stadium for WrestleMania. It was incredible, dude,
- 4:08Speaker 3: you should be really, I mean I was.
- 4:09Speaker 4: I was proud. I was like, yeah, that's what I'm
- 4:11Speaker 4: talking about.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Well, it's very patriotic.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Little backstory there for you is that we like, as
- 4:17Speaker 1: a band, we've always said we would never were like
- 4:19Speaker 1: we've we've done it once because I was like looking up,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I'm like, when's last one is this? We're singing at
- 4:24Speaker 1: the National Anthem during the George W. Bush administration, and
- 4:28Speaker 1: right as we start were singing it by the way
- 4:31Speaker 1: to the to the self Lawn self Laan for an
- 4:33Speaker 1: Easter egg role that they host every year, and you
- 4:37Speaker 1: see like like like dun Dum, like Darth Vader, just
- 4:42Speaker 1: George W. Bush come out of the shadows behind Kevin.
- 4:44Speaker 1: As we start singing, it's crazy and it's so funny,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and we sound, let's just say, not great, and these
- 4:52Speaker 1: I don't know what, I don't know. We were obviously nervous,
- 4:55Speaker 1: and I think from that day we were like, we're
- 4:56Speaker 1: never going to do this. This is not saying to do.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Is it harder as a band or as individuals to
- 5:01Speaker 4: do it? Yeah?
- 5:02Speaker 1: I think as a band it's tricky because you have to.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Then you have the pressure of being like, all right, guys, now,
- 5:06Speaker 1: let's harmonize.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Yeah, and you have it and.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Usually it's a cappella and you're fighting this reverb and
- 5:12Speaker 1: as you I'm sure know, and you deal with this
- 5:14Speaker 1: all the time, Like in a place in a stadium
- 5:16Speaker 1: where WrestleMania WW often takes place when you're on a microphone.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You're not have headphones, you're hearing your voice. Do you
- 5:22Speaker 1: I'm tell me if I'm wrong?
- 5:24Speaker 2: Would you?
- 5:24Speaker 1: I said, okay, we call you the miss.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm great. The miss is good, mister miss.
- 5:30Speaker 1: When you're in a stadium like that, do you hear
- 5:32Speaker 1: yourself led that like REVERBLEG slap back at you.
- 5:35Speaker 3: So it's it's interesting because it's like, I guess I
- 5:39Speaker 3: can talk to you guys about this because you actually
- 5:40Speaker 3: know when you're in a theater, when you're in an arena,
- 5:43Speaker 3: and you when you're in a stadium, it's completely different.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Sound break it down for people at home. Break it down.
- 5:49Speaker 3: So so I hosted the WWE Hall of Fame, which
- 5:52Speaker 3: was in a theater. And in a theater, I can
- 5:55Speaker 3: feel an audience because they're right, they're kind of right
- 5:56Speaker 3: on top of you, right, they're like right there. There's
- 5:59Speaker 3: maybe like a thousand people there, two thousand if you have,
- 6:02Speaker 3: you know, a bigger theater, and you know you can
- 6:04Speaker 3: feel the energy, you can hear the energy when you're
- 6:06Speaker 3: in an arena. It's it's a whole nother thing because
- 6:09Speaker 3: it's it's it's all the way you're playing to the
- 6:11Speaker 3: last person in the last row, right, That's what our
- 6:14Speaker 3: goal is. Because then when you're in a stadium, it
- 6:16Speaker 3: bounces back, so you the crowd reaction. And that's what
- 6:20Speaker 3: I'm always listening to whenever I'm in a like in
- 6:23Speaker 3: a match, like, I'm listening to the audience to hear
- 6:26Speaker 3: where they are. Okay, I need to do X, Y
- 6:28Speaker 3: and Z to get them to where I need to
- 6:29Speaker 3: be to either start this comeback, go for my finisher,
- 6:33Speaker 3: do certain things. So I'm always thinking, always listening to
- 6:35Speaker 3: an audience to get them where they need to be.
- 6:38Speaker 3: And so for an arena, it's simple because that's where
- 6:41Speaker 3: we've we've basically known and we know. But when we
- 6:44Speaker 3: go to the stadium, it's a completely different element. You've
- 6:46Speaker 3: got to actually wait like a beat for them, because
- 6:49Speaker 3: usually it starts in the front and then it elevates
- 6:53Speaker 3: to the back and by the time it gets to
- 6:54Speaker 3: the back, that's twenty twenty seconds, thirty seconds, and so
- 6:59Speaker 3: you kind of got to wait for it and hear
- 7:00Speaker 3: it back. So when I was cutting a promo, it's
- 7:03Speaker 3: like hello, you know, it's like you hear that kind
- 7:06Speaker 3: of echo if you will.
- 7:07Speaker 5: That happened to me when we were doing it an
- 7:09Speaker 5: award show and I was on the mic and I
- 7:11Speaker 5: literally my voice back and I.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Started and it just like slowed down.
- 7:18Speaker 5: My cor and Nick were like, and I'm like, I
- 7:22Speaker 5: just started melting and then I started sweating.
- 7:24Speaker 2: And then it was terrible.
- 7:25Speaker 1: She had had a big fight about it.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Joe got so mad at me. I'm like, I'm sorry.
- 7:29Speaker 2: It was like I couldn't do anything about it.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Again.
- 7:34Speaker 2: It was like that over me, like messing up on
- 7:36Speaker 2: live TV. Also, she's the one that's embarrassed.
- 7:39Speaker 1: We should probably say this too, that the Mizz and
- 7:42Speaker 1: me and Nick I believe we go way back. We
- 7:43Speaker 1: used to train out a gym in l A called
- 7:45Speaker 1: Unbreakable Yep, back in the golden days. My wife was
- 7:49Speaker 1: there as well. It was above. It was a pink
- 7:51Speaker 1: taco was the strangers. I went there with you once
- 7:54Speaker 1: think tacos no more. I just closed down. It's like
- 7:57Speaker 1: the pink, greasy tacos and and go up there and
- 8:00Speaker 1: work out crazy.
- 8:02Speaker 4: What's that place?
- 8:03Speaker 1: Like?
- 8:03Speaker 3: Literally it was like t O would walk in Sylvester
- 8:06Speaker 3: Stallone like and it's in this hole in the wall gym.
- 8:09Speaker 4: That is just like in the back of a pink taco.
- 8:12Speaker 4: But it was amazing.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Like the trainers, the trainers for second and none, Like
- 8:15Speaker 3: I still talk to Matt Blank all the time.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Yeah too about but he's in Hawaii.
- 8:19Speaker 5: Yeah, I called him mister because I was trying to
- 8:21Speaker 5: work out and he's like, I'm like, hey, are you
- 8:22Speaker 5: in town in La?
- 8:23Speaker 2: I have the morning He's like, I'm in.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Hawaii, And I was like, oh, Timmons on his his
- 8:28Speaker 1: near his near forty fitness journey at the moment again
- 8:31Speaker 1: getting shredded. He's getting shredded.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Good free, I'm forty five, now forty five.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Tips? Give me. Actually, let's break it down. How often
- 8:41Speaker 1: are we training? Miss? What do you watch show?
- 8:42Speaker 4: I train at least three times a week. Uh.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Usually it's like weight training three times a week, cardio
- 8:48Speaker 3: like on let's do like three a three and then
- 8:54Speaker 3: a twelve incline and for like thirty minutes on a
- 8:58Speaker 3: treadmill on a treadmill. Yeah yeah, yeah, you know, it's
- 9:01Speaker 3: it's really easy. But everything that's my that's like my cardio.
- 9:04Speaker 3: But I do three times a week with weight training.
- 9:06Speaker 3: But then you know what I did, I got my
- 9:08Speaker 3: blood tested and that was a very big deal. Like
- 9:11Speaker 3: you kids, Joe and Nick don't have to worry about this.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Me and Kevin have to figure this stuff out because
- 9:16Speaker 3: we get tired.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Now.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Like I've got two girls that are six and eight
- 9:20Speaker 3: that are literally like, yeah, I mean it's it's a
- 9:25Speaker 3: lot of work, right, So sure, I need energy, I
- 9:28Speaker 3: need everything. So I got my blood tested and they
- 9:30Speaker 3: were just like, look, you're you're you're low on vitamin D.
- 9:33Speaker 3: You needed to get your your fish oils DHEA as
- 9:38Speaker 3: well as a one a day. And since I've been
- 9:40Speaker 3: doing that, like I feel great, Like I really do,
- 9:43Speaker 3: Like I'm I wow.
- 9:44Speaker 2: The supplement thing is awesome when you.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Really and so you when you get your blood tested,
- 9:50Speaker 3: you find out what you're deficient in and what you
- 9:52Speaker 3: need basically for your body to activate at an optimal level.
- 9:56Speaker 3: And so I've been working with a ways too well
- 9:59Speaker 3: down in a done in Austin, and They've just been
- 10:02Speaker 3: like literally picking up my energy. And I've been feeling great.
- 10:06Speaker 3: And I'm forty five and I'm still traveling each and
- 10:08Speaker 3: every week, still doing Friday Night SmackDown on the USA
- 10:11Speaker 3: Network hosted American Gladiators, which is now on Prime I mean,
- 10:15Speaker 3: it's literally a NonStop not to mention being trying to
- 10:17Speaker 3: be the best husband, trying to be the best father.
- 10:19Speaker 3: I think we all know what it's like to have
- 10:21Speaker 3: like so many hands in different jobs and different things,
- 10:25Speaker 3: but also wanting to be the best dad and best
- 10:27Speaker 3: husband you could possibly be.
- 10:28Speaker 5: So what do you think your biggest thing is being
- 10:32Speaker 5: that busy like you are traveling, Like how you make
- 10:36Speaker 5: yourself feel present when you're at home with the family
- 10:38Speaker 5: and the girls.
- 10:38Speaker 3: It's a lot of phone right, Like I feel like nowadays,
- 10:42Speaker 3: like even I catch myself doing it and in my
- 10:44Speaker 3: wife and I'll be like, God, I'm so sorry. I've
- 10:46Speaker 3: just been on my phone trying. Everyone's texting me, Hey,
- 10:49Speaker 3: what are you doing this? You need to get this done? Hey,
- 10:51Speaker 3: can you got time for this? Do you have just
- 10:53Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh my god. But then I'm just
- 10:56Speaker 3: realizing I'm like, set the phone down, Mike, get in
- 10:59Speaker 3: the pool with your daughters, hang out with them. That's
- 11:01Speaker 3: all they want to do is play with you, Go
- 11:03Speaker 3: wrestle with him. Take them to jiu jitsu, which I started.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I brought him to jiu jitsu because I saw, like
- 11:08Speaker 3: on a podcast, like they were like, look, when your
- 11:11Speaker 3: daughters get older, they need to defend themselves, and with
- 11:15Speaker 3: jiu jitsu they'll be able to defend themselves if they
- 11:17Speaker 3: have the right technique with a three hundred pound man.
- 11:20Speaker 4: And I'm like, all right, I got to get him
- 11:21Speaker 4: at jiu jitsu.
- 11:22Speaker 3: So now when I take him to jiu jitsu, I
- 11:25Speaker 3: bring him back home and we come Actually, like right there,
- 11:27Speaker 3: there's a big like kind.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Of cool I was wondering, like if you have a
- 11:31Speaker 1: setup at home.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like a carpet area right there that literally
- 11:34Speaker 3: we wrestle now. Oh, So I listened to what the
- 11:37Speaker 3: teacher teaches them, and then we go home and I
- 11:40Speaker 3: implement them on them and try to get them kind
- 11:43Speaker 3: of locked in and knowing what exactly it is. It's
- 11:46Speaker 3: a blast and they love it. They love wrestling, believe
- 11:49Speaker 3: it or not shockingly like you know, but every time,
- 11:52Speaker 3: every time I tell them, I'm like, all right, before
- 11:54Speaker 3: we wrestle, you got to lock up. So I teach them,
- 11:56Speaker 3: like the number one thing you learn in WWE, for
- 11:59Speaker 3: if you're learning the artifessional wrestling, it's all how to
- 12:01Speaker 3: lock up. So when you first start circling the ring,
- 12:04Speaker 3: we lock up boom, So I teach them how to
- 12:06Speaker 3: lock up, so they always have to lock up with me,
- 12:07Speaker 3: and they always have to try to put me in
- 12:09Speaker 3: a sleeperhole because they know how to do a sleeperhole.
- 12:11Speaker 3: So if any boys are in the you know, kindergarten
- 12:15Speaker 3: or second grade that mess with them, they don't wan
- 12:17Speaker 3: to choke them out.
- 12:18Speaker 1: That's sick.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Are your girls in anything? Like do you guys have
- 12:21Speaker 3: them in any sports or any type of stuff like that?
- 12:24Speaker 3: Like are they into singing? Do they love what you
- 12:26Speaker 3: guys do? Do they know what you guys do? Because
- 12:28Speaker 3: my daughters could care less I'm w W rasslo or
- 12:32Speaker 3: that that I'm a host of American gladiators.
- 12:34Speaker 4: They don't care my daughters.
- 12:36Speaker 1: She's four, she's getting into horseback riding the moment.
- 12:39Speaker 4: WHOA are you nervous on that?
- 12:41Speaker 1: No, the instructor is amazing and really patient and you know,
- 12:45Speaker 1: has their hand on her the whole time. She's fearless.
- 12:48Speaker 1: She just gets on and she's very fearless.
- 12:51Speaker 4: I think you guys are probably more fearful than or
- 12:53Speaker 4: maybe mom. I don't know.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Adults know too much. We know too yes, yeah, but
- 12:57Speaker 1: it's it's wild she's not really taken to combat sports yet.
- 13:02Speaker 1: But I think what you're saying about jiu jitsu is great.
- 13:04Speaker 1: So when I was training at Unbreakable back in the day,
- 13:06Speaker 1: I was doing this TV show Kingdom, which was all
- 13:09Speaker 1: about you know, MMA fighters and that whole world, and
- 13:12Speaker 1: I got really into jiu jitsu at that time and
- 13:15Speaker 1: found out to be a really helpful tool for a
- 13:17Speaker 1: generally smaller guy to you know, have a shot verset
- 13:21Speaker 1: kind of bigger opponents.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Lock up.
- 13:24Speaker 1: So hold on on that front, though, who's the who's
- 13:26Speaker 1: the best lock up or like partner you've had in
- 13:31Speaker 1: a fight, in a match.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Oh like in wrestling.
- 13:33Speaker 3: So I would say John Cena has taught me the
- 13:36Speaker 3: most nice out of anyone in w W. E. When
- 13:40Speaker 3: I first started in w W, nobody liked me because
- 13:42Speaker 3: I was off the Real world, which was wildly popular,
- 13:45Speaker 3: probably before you guys were almost act.
- 13:48Speaker 5: I got to say it earlier, like, I was so
- 13:50Speaker 5: impressed actually back in the day watching that show than
- 13:53Speaker 5: the real world. But you always said I'm I'm gonna
- 13:56Speaker 5: be I'm gonna be a wrestler, I'm a wrestler, I'm
- 13:58Speaker 5: gonna be the myss like you were you had your character,
- 14:00Speaker 5: you knew who you were, and you like manifested it,
- 14:02Speaker 5: you made it become real.
- 14:03Speaker 4: You did it.
- 14:04Speaker 1: And I think that that's just the power of knowing
- 14:06Speaker 1: like who you are as a person. Everyone and it's
- 14:08Speaker 1: always like classic you just keep watching this happen, right,
- 14:11Speaker 1: Like somebody will come from a different side of of
- 14:15Speaker 1: of an industry or from a show or a musician
- 14:18Speaker 1: and they'll step into another into the ring or somewhere
- 14:21Speaker 1: and they're gonna be the first person they get shipped
- 14:24Speaker 1: on and no one's gonna believe him. But obviously tales
- 14:26Speaker 1: old at time. So you were saying John Cena, which
- 14:28Speaker 1: I got to meet John for the first time as well.
- 14:31Speaker 1: You know, there's a lot of legends that day wrestle
- 14:33Speaker 1: Mania that it's just I just was stayed in one
- 14:35Speaker 1: place and I'm meeting all these people a bit I
- 14:38Speaker 1: did fair Girl, but I actually I'm meeting John was
- 14:43Speaker 1: quite funny because I've never I'm pretty I think I
- 14:46Speaker 1: really respect him, especially what he's he's done with his
- 14:49Speaker 1: film career. Yes, and make a wish and make a wish,
- 14:53Speaker 1: But I'm sorry you were saying you've learned a lot
- 14:56Speaker 1: from him or he taught you a lot.
- 14:57Speaker 3: So when like when we were talking about the real world, like, yeah,
- 15:00Speaker 3: the Miz didn't come like it came from the real world,
- 15:03Speaker 3: but like I didn't mean to do that, right, Like
- 15:06Speaker 3: it was just uncomfortable being in New York City, seven
- 15:08Speaker 3: strangers picked to live in a house to have a job.
- 15:10Speaker 4: I was uncomfortable, And what do you do when you're uncomfortable?
- 15:13Speaker 3: I drank and uh, basically like partied and just created
- 15:17Speaker 3: a character called the Miz that would tell everyone exactly
- 15:20Speaker 3: how they felt whenever they wanted to. And so everyone
- 15:23Speaker 3: started liking that. And I've always wanted to be a wrestler,
- 15:26Speaker 3: but I was never thought I was big enough. Like
- 15:28Speaker 3: I'm six foot nothing, two hundred zero pounds. These guys
- 15:31Speaker 3: were larger than life, Like if you look at American
- 15:33Speaker 3: gladiators in WWE, these were my shows and they were
- 15:37Speaker 3: larger than life. They were heroes. I never thought I could.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Actually and some of these legends that are just massive dudes.
- 15:44Speaker 3: When so when I tried out for the real world
- 15:46Speaker 3: and made it, I was like, wait a second, you're
- 15:49Speaker 3: telling me if I try out for something and I
- 15:52Speaker 3: have a goal, I can actually do it.
- 15:53Speaker 4: If I find the right tools for it.
- 15:55Speaker 3: So I remember looking on Yahoo being like, all right,
- 15:59Speaker 3: where do I find a wrestling school?
- 16:01Speaker 4: Found one in La.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Got acting classes, improv classes I started doing, I got
- 16:06Speaker 3: a nutritionist, started working out. I was finding all the
- 16:09Speaker 3: tools that I could possibly find to become a professional wrestler.
- 16:13Speaker 3: But then when I got there, like three years later,
- 16:15Speaker 3: you thought WWB like, oh my god, yes we want
- 16:18Speaker 3: this guy.
- 16:18Speaker 4: They didn't.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Hollywood didn't want me because when you're on a reality
- 16:21Speaker 3: show back then, you're in no talent hack like you
- 16:24Speaker 3: were on television. You were living your life in front
- 16:26Speaker 3: of a camera. That's all you're good for it. You're
- 16:29Speaker 3: not good for anything else. But then it was crazy
- 16:32Speaker 3: because I got on a show called Tough Enough, which
- 16:34Speaker 3: is another reality show, but you could win a w contract.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Didn't win the contract, but in press the execs so
- 16:39Speaker 3: much that they gave me a developmental contract. Went through
- 16:41Speaker 3: developmental system, got to WWE. Everybody hated me in the
- 16:45Speaker 3: locker room. Nobody wanted me there, nobody wanted to teach me.
- 16:49Speaker 3: John Ceno was one of the people that literally brought
- 16:52Speaker 3: me in and always kind of gave me a nod, right,
- 16:56Speaker 3: gave me that whenever I was in the ring, teach
- 16:59Speaker 3: taught me how to become a main event superstar and
- 17:03Speaker 3: that it's it's very difficult. There's a whole different level
- 17:05Speaker 3: of people wrestling, and it's it's like bands, right, you
- 17:09Speaker 3: have new up and coming bands that are trying to
- 17:12Speaker 3: get out, and then you have you guys who are
- 17:13Speaker 3: like literally stadiums, arenas wherever you guys want to go,
- 17:17Speaker 3: sold out everywhere. You guys know how to perform in
- 17:20Speaker 3: these main event caliber like people want to pay to
- 17:23Speaker 3: see you. The reason they want to pay to see
- 17:24Speaker 3: you is because you know how to conduct an entire
- 17:28Speaker 3: like concert that literally people will pay for. That's exactly
- 17:32Speaker 3: what a WWE main eventter does. And so John taught
- 17:36Speaker 3: me how to do that. And then I became WWE
- 17:39Speaker 3: champion beat him in the main event of WrestleMania.
- 17:42Speaker 4: No big deal.
- 17:43Speaker 3: No, But but then this year I got to be
- 17:47Speaker 3: in the ring with him again. He retired this year,
- 17:48Speaker 3: but I mean, unbelie I know, he came back as
- 17:52Speaker 3: the host and to be in the ring with him again,
- 17:55Speaker 3: that was great.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I love seeing that.
- 17:56Speaker 4: It was it was great, it was it was a.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Fun moment and it was a very Johnson the Miz
- 18:01Speaker 3: type of interaction as always, So he's always been a
- 18:05Speaker 3: person that's been great to meet. Randy Orton was another
- 18:08Speaker 3: one that taught me a lot who's still in the
- 18:09Speaker 3: business and is literally one of the goats to this day.
- 18:13Speaker 3: So it's always good to get in those guys in
- 18:16Speaker 3: the ring, especially now now I'm in this element where
- 18:19Speaker 3: I've been in WWE for like twenty years and I'm
- 18:22Speaker 3: teaching the new up and coming people how to become
- 18:26Speaker 3: what John Cena did. Do you guys do that for
- 18:28Speaker 3: other bands? Sorry for taking over, but I'm here about
- 18:31Speaker 3: you guys as well.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I want to respond with the same kind of question.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I mean, we meet a lot of young musicians that
- 18:37Speaker 1: are always you know, asking us, hey, like give me
- 18:41Speaker 1: some advice, and I kind of ask a question back, Mike,
- 18:45Speaker 1: why do you want to do this? And if it's
- 18:47Speaker 1: like oh, especially I find a lot of what social
- 18:51Speaker 1: media can kind of like create, it's like, oh, because
- 18:54Speaker 1: I want to be famous, I'm like, well, I don't
- 18:57Speaker 1: know if this is for you then, because the fame
- 19:00Speaker 1: side comes with a lot of can become with a
- 19:02Speaker 1: lot of negativity and hate, and you got to have
- 19:05Speaker 1: thick skin. If you could do it, because you wake
- 19:07Speaker 1: up and it's all you think about and you go
- 19:09Speaker 1: to it, it's all you think about. Then Like yes,
- 19:11Speaker 1: like just write as much as you can. Writing's not
- 19:14Speaker 1: your strong suit. Play play an instrument. Surround yourself with
- 19:17Speaker 1: great people. So I would ask you the same question,
- 19:19Speaker 1: like if somebody wants to get into wrestling or if
- 19:22Speaker 1: you I'm sure you meet a lot of people, what's
- 19:23Speaker 1: your advice for these young people? You said you twenty
- 19:25Speaker 1: years congrats is incredible. We're also celebrating twenty years. Funny enough. Yeah,
- 19:29Speaker 1: So for you, like if if somebody's trying to get
- 19:31Speaker 1: into wrestling right now, professional wrestling, like, how would they
- 19:35Speaker 1: even go about it in like this day and age.
- 19:38Speaker 3: So the way, we have a performance center and they
- 19:40Speaker 3: have tryouts all the time. It's called NXT Performance that
- 19:43Speaker 3: are down in Orlando and we have tryouts all the time.
- 19:47Speaker 3: You can find that out on WWE dot com. They
- 19:49Speaker 3: always are are looking for the next WWE superstar. And
- 19:53Speaker 3: that's a good way. But to piggyback off of what
- 19:55Speaker 3: you're saying about fame, they want fame and fortune. If
- 19:59Speaker 3: you don't have the love for what you're doing. You
- 20:02Speaker 3: will not make it because you will not put the
- 20:03Speaker 3: work that involves. Like, nobody sees us how much how
- 20:07Speaker 3: much work it is to be a Jonas brother. Nobody
- 20:09Speaker 3: sees the work that it is to be a WWE superstar.
- 20:12Speaker 3: No one understands what we have to go through on
- 20:14Speaker 3: a daily base. And granted, it's awesome the stuff we
- 20:17Speaker 3: get to do it, it's amazing. The fans are incredible,
- 20:20Speaker 3: But you don't see the insights and the work that
- 20:23Speaker 3: it takes.
- 20:24Speaker 4: This sacrifices on your body.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Yet that alone, at energy level you're talking about is real.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Oh dude, No, it doesn't seem that physical.
- 20:34Speaker 2: I'm excited.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I've been trying to convince these guys. Jo's hook.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Now are you going to get involved?
- 20:38Speaker 1: You should do something if you need my help in
- 20:41Speaker 1: any way.
- 20:42Speaker 4: I do have a problem with Dan Housen right now,
- 20:44Speaker 4: who is basically cursing everyone.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Did you ever give you?
- 20:46Speaker 5: Okay, I have a segue here. I actually have a
- 20:49Speaker 5: question about that from one of our listeners. These are
- 20:51Speaker 5: from Ryan and he's a huge fan. He said, some
- 20:54Speaker 5: real nerds is coming in here right now.
- 20:57Speaker 1: So here we go.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Did Dan Housen ever return your daughter's bike.
- 21:01Speaker 4: No he didn't.
- 21:03Speaker 1: He stole that's messed up.
- 21:05Speaker 3: See, thank you. This is what I'm talking about. Everyone
- 21:07Speaker 3: else is like laughing about it and saying this is great,
- 21:10Speaker 3: this is amazing. They're getting entertained by it.
- 21:12Speaker 1: He got a problem with me too.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Then Look he said, I curse you like he gives
- 21:17Speaker 4: everyone a curse like you are cursed.
- 21:19Speaker 1: No, the cursing thing, it's gotta go. Nobody wants a
- 21:21Speaker 1: curse on them, especially do you take my kid's bike.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I don't believe in curses.
- 21:25Speaker 2: You're cooked here, we're here for you. If you need
- 21:27Speaker 2: some back, thank you.
- 21:27Speaker 3: I'm sure the man has the man who's broken into
- 21:30Speaker 3: my house. He has stolen my daughter's bike. He a
- 21:33Speaker 3: referee claimed that he got a cramp so he couldn't
- 21:36Speaker 3: count to three, and I would have won the tag
- 21:38Speaker 3: team titles with Kit Wilson. But because the referee said
- 21:42Speaker 3: he was cursed and got a cramp in his arm,
- 21:44Speaker 3: he couldn't count to three, he couldn't.
- 21:45Speaker 4: Do his job and SmackDown. I was blown up.
- 21:47Speaker 3: I was blown up, and the crowd was applauding it,
- 21:50Speaker 3: applauding it during a match. By the way, mind you.
- 21:53Speaker 3: These are the things that Dan Housen is doing to
- 21:54Speaker 3: me that people are cheering for. Yeah, you guys gotta
- 21:58Speaker 3: watch because he might you. I don't believe in the curse.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Some people believe in curses.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Bringing on. I know Jesus can't be cursed.
- 22:06Speaker 4: That real.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Praise a lot. We'll be I'll put me in the ring.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Bro I'm there. I got your back. I'll be there.
- 22:11Speaker 1: You have no problem there Nis. Thank you so much.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Congratulations on everything. It's a huge honor to meet you.
- 22:17Speaker 1: We're getting that bike back.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Thanks guys, thank you so much for I'll see you
