- 2:45Speaker 2: to the show. Now our good friend from Capitol Market,
- 2:47Speaker 2: Chuck McGill, Good morning, Sarah, Welcome to the show. Good morning,
- 2:51Speaker 2: Thank you for being here talking about this big event
- 2:53Speaker 2: you got going on tomorrow night. The Carver Alumni Dinner.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Talk about it. Well.
- 2:58Speaker 5: First of all, I've identified an issue with your show
- 3:00Speaker 5: is that we always talk about food because I'm the
- 3:02Speaker 5: executive director at Capital Market, but always come on, You're
- 3:05Speaker 5: show hungry, and it makes me hungry here.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Well and talking to you, it makes me hungry. So
- 3:13Speaker 2: there's that.
- 3:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:15Speaker 5: No, at a really great event has come into the
- 3:17Speaker 5: Capital Market tomorrow night from six to eight. We'll be outside.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Weather looks great. It's the Carver Alumni Dinner, which that
- 3:24Speaker 5: just means that the alumni are the ones making the food.
- 3:27Speaker 5: It's open to anyone. Anyone can buy a ticket by
- 3:30Speaker 5: going to Capitol Market dot net and we have some left.
- 3:33Speaker 5: But it's a really great dinner that celebrates local chefs
- 3:37Speaker 5: who stayed here, receive their culinary education at Carver Culinary
- 3:41Speaker 5: through the Culinary Carver Culinary Arts Program, and then they
- 3:45Speaker 5: spread through fanall valley to you know, share their love
- 3:49Speaker 5: of food with us and need to prepare our food.
- 3:52Speaker 5: So we're bringing those chefs together for a six course
- 3:54Speaker 5: meal tomorrow night at Capital Market with chefs from Dancing
- 3:58Speaker 5: Dog and The Pitch, Coco's Kitchen and Cafe all represented.
- 4:03Speaker 5: So prepared local for your local market. It's going to
- 4:07Speaker 5: be a great event.
- 4:08Speaker 2: So I am presuming that by the very name. I
- 4:11Speaker 2: am not a smart guy, you know, but I would
- 4:14Speaker 2: say that it is people that actually went through the
- 4:16Speaker 2: culinary Academy at Carver, right.
- 4:19Speaker 5: That's correct. Yes, they are all products of the Carver
- 4:22Speaker 5: Culinary Arts program and you know have now been dispersed
- 4:27Speaker 5: through the Canall Valley. So these are the chefs preparing
- 4:30Speaker 5: your food at your favorite regional restaurants. So there are
- 4:33Speaker 5: people who were educated local and stayed luck local to
- 4:36Speaker 5: provide food. And you know, Capital Capital Market. Capital Market
- 4:40Speaker 5: being a nonprofit five over one C three that we
- 4:43Speaker 5: support everything West Virginia inside and outside at the market.
- 4:47Speaker 5: So obviously supporting our local chefs and local talent is
- 4:50Speaker 5: something we want to do.
- 4:51Speaker 2: All right, Well, you know what my next question is
- 4:53Speaker 2: going to be. You said it's a six course meal.
- 4:54Speaker 2: I want to know what's on the menu.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Okay, So it's it's a it's with the six course meal,
- 5:00Speaker 5: you're talking about an appetizer, a soup, salad. Uh, there's
- 5:05Speaker 5: there's some tuninachos and I'm sure you would.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Dive into and a.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Chicken chicken quarter is the entree? And then the dessert.
- 5:12Speaker 5: But Dave, I want to talk about the start, starting
- 5:15Speaker 5: finish for me. So the start will be, ah, you know,
- 5:22Speaker 5: you don't have pimento. It'll have some Appalachian infused honey,
- 5:29Speaker 5: so I think you've got a lot of local flavor.
- 5:32Speaker 5: We talked a few weeks ago about the taste of appalachi.
- 5:34Speaker 5: This is a very Appalachian start to your meal, getting
- 5:39Speaker 5: into a you know, a summer peach tomato salad, a
- 5:44Speaker 5: roast red pepper suit I mentioned the tounanachos, a chicken
- 5:49Speaker 5: porter which which is gonna be really good, and then
- 5:51Speaker 5: a middle end on a maple layered pinoli that will
- 5:58Speaker 5: have berries and candy peacockes. So I think from start
- 6:02Speaker 5: to finish we've got a really interesting six course meal.
- 6:07Speaker 5: And each of the six chefs will prepare it will
- 6:09Speaker 5: be focused on their course, So you have six people
- 6:13Speaker 5: supremely focused on each course, which I think is really neat.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Man, it sounds absolutely delicious. I mean every bit of that.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Of course, you know this time of mornings when I
- 6:22Speaker 2: start planning my food day anyway, and most of my
- 6:24Speaker 2: time spent behind a microphone, so it ends up being
- 6:27Speaker 2: a sandwich or something least till I get home. It
- 6:29Speaker 2: all sounds absolutely delicious. I know a lot of work
- 6:32Speaker 2: has gone into this.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Yeah, this is the second year. The first year went
- 6:37Speaker 5: really great and what you saw was a lot of
- 6:39Speaker 5: the local restaurants supporting their people, right, So you had people,
- 6:44Speaker 5: you know, the the executive chefs and the team coming
- 6:47Speaker 5: out to support the SFT that we're going out and
- 6:49Speaker 5: do this. So I think people understand, you know, how
- 6:52Speaker 5: important to West Virginians and people in the Mountain state
- 6:55Speaker 5: and to the Ka Valley supporting local and as I said,
- 6:59Speaker 5: our mission Capital Market is to support small business. Inside
- 7:02Speaker 5: it's all West Virginia products. Outside you'll find all West
- 7:05Speaker 5: Virginia grown produce, and we want to be a community
- 7:10Speaker 5: gathering space for all for our people here locally. So
- 7:12Speaker 5: it's just a layered local kind of event, local people
- 7:16Speaker 5: supporting local sefts. That your local market is what we're
- 7:19Speaker 5: all about.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Talking to Chuck mcgil again from Capital Market, it's nine
- 7:22Speaker 2: point fifteen. You get ready to talk about through your
- 7:24Speaker 2: football and go inside the huddle with Tony Kredi this
- 7:27Speaker 2: Thursday night at the Willow Event Center, seventeen oh six

- 7:53Speaker 2: WCCHS and the Charleston Gazette Mail. All right, where can
- 7:56Speaker 2: people get tickets for this? And how are the tickets going?
- 7:58Speaker 4: Are there?
- 7:59Speaker 2: I mean an event like this, I know you've been
- 8:00Speaker 2: advertising it for a while. First time I've had opportunity
- 8:03Speaker 2: to have you on the show. I mean, how are
- 8:05Speaker 2: we doing on tickets?
- 8:06Speaker 5: We're doing We're doing really well in tickets, but there
- 8:08Speaker 5: are limited amount of tickets left. They're dwindling. And I think,
- 8:12Speaker 5: you know, with the there's a lot going on in
- 8:13Speaker 5: Charleston this week, but with the with the unbelievable weather,
- 8:16Speaker 5: we're gonna have outdoors tomorrow night. You know, for Taste
- 8:19Speaker 5: of Appalachia, it was so pleasant under the pavilion. By
- 8:22Speaker 5: the time that sun started to dropping little bit six
- 8:24Speaker 5: to eight pm, it was really really comfortable. And we're
- 8:27Speaker 5: gonna have the same set up tomorrow night. So yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 5: Capitolmarket dot net, you can go to our events page
- 8:32Speaker 5: and find it and then just hop on and buy
- 8:36Speaker 5: your tickets and come come hang out with us. It
- 8:38Speaker 5: will be a really good time.
- 8:38Speaker 2: What are some other things over the next couple of
- 8:40Speaker 2: weeks or months or so as we start to I mean,
- 8:42Speaker 2: I know it's just August fourth. I don't want to
- 8:44Speaker 2: rush the season, but we're gonna start. I mean, I
- 8:46Speaker 2: think if you go to your local department store, I
- 8:48Speaker 2: think the Valentine's Day decorations are already out at this point.
- 8:52Speaker 2: So over the next month two months, So what are
- 8:55Speaker 2: some things that are on their rise and for Capital Market?
- 8:57Speaker 5: Yeah, so on August twentieth, we'll have our monthly Let's
- 9:00Speaker 5: Get Cooking with Chef Paul event, which is eleven thirty
- 9:02Speaker 5: to one on the third Thursday of every month at
- 9:04Speaker 5: the Market. It's a great event where you can come.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Chef Paul will create a dish that using a focal
- 9:11Speaker 5: point of some ingredient that is like in season at
- 9:14Speaker 5: the market at that time. Well, later in the month
- 9:18Speaker 5: we'll have our Harvest Center, which will feature multiple chefs
- 9:22Speaker 5: again from around the region. And then we get into
- 9:25Speaker 5: September one, the market flips over. That's the fall season,
- 9:29Speaker 5: so the market will start to really take shape. In fact,
- 9:31Speaker 5: one of our vendors last Saturday already had pumpkin roll,
- 9:36Speaker 5: so they're trying to force it.
- 9:37Speaker 6: I know.
- 9:38Speaker 5: The pumpkin season is upon us. We have a Sweet
- 9:42Speaker 5: Charity dessert competition September first, which is gonna be a
- 9:46Speaker 5: lot of fun. And then you get into our our
- 9:49Speaker 5: fall fundraisers. Our market mixer will be on Wednesday, Aftober seventh.
- 9:53Speaker 5: We'll have our back and Cheese cookoff and Biscuits and

- 16:25Speaker 11: you're back. You're back to your office, you know, depending
- 16:28Speaker 11: on within you know, fifteen twenty minutes, depending on where
- 16:31Speaker 11: you got to go.
- 16:32Speaker 2: So, yeah, so talk about what kind of information is
- 16:37Speaker 2: disseminated at this thing. I mean about the speakers on stage,
- 16:40Speaker 2: and I know know about the networking, but talk about
- 16:42Speaker 2: what the who all's going to be there. I know
- 16:44Speaker 2: you're still working on the list, but who's going to
- 16:46Speaker 2: be there and what they're going to talk about.
- 16:48Speaker 11: Yeah, Actually, we are solidified in our agenda this year,
- 16:51Speaker 11: and we're going to feature some regional updates from the
- 16:54Speaker 11: mayors of Charleston, Huntington, Hurricane, and South Charleston. So they'll
- 16:58Speaker 11: be providing the nearly three hundred and fifty attendees with
- 17:04Speaker 11: some insights to the accomplishments, priorities and opportunities that are
- 17:08Speaker 11: within their within their respective communities. And then every year,
- 17:12Speaker 11: one of our key focuses is always on collaboration. We
- 17:16Speaker 11: know that you know, together as a region, we are
- 17:19Speaker 11: stronger than we are individually, and so we like to
- 17:22Speaker 11: have the panelists kind of discuss a little bit on
- 17:24Speaker 11: how they are currently collaborating and how they look to
- 17:27Speaker 11: collaborate as a region in the future. So, but all
- 17:31Speaker 11: these mayors that are going to be with us this
- 17:34Speaker 11: year are going to have some great updates. They've all
- 17:36Speaker 11: got some good things going on in their respective cities,
- 17:39Speaker 11: and so we're looking forward to hearing about what accomplishments
- 17:43Speaker 11: they that's going on in each of those and then
- 17:47Speaker 11: you know, focusing on that regional collaborative approach as well.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Talking again with Ashley off for Glance for the Putnam
- 17:53Speaker 2: County Chamber of Commerce to Dave Allen Show and find
- 17:55Speaker 2: Indieline brought to you in part by Pinnacle Consultants. When
- 17:58Speaker 2: environmental questions come up a building, Nicole provides clear answers,
- 18:01Speaker 2: specializing and as best as led mold and indoor air
- 18:04Speaker 2: quality issues, accredited lab testing base right here in the
- 18:07Speaker 2: state of West Virginia. You can learn more at Pinnacle
- 18:09Speaker 2: Corp dot net. Helping you understand your environment because what
- 18:12Speaker 2: you don't know can't hurt you, and doing what you
- 18:15Speaker 2: do for a living and doing what the folks at
- 18:16Speaker 2: the Charleston Airy Alliance and Chamber Doo and the Huntington Regional.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Uh.
- 18:20Speaker 2: You know, it's so important. And those mayors that you
- 18:22Speaker 2: mentioned that are all going to be there. I've interviewed
- 18:24Speaker 2: every one of them countless times and just had mayor
- 18:26Speaker 2: a good one of Charleston on the show yesterday as
- 18:28Speaker 2: a matter of fact, and I'm glad that we are
- 18:31Speaker 2: finally getting into this mindset that is you said, Ashley,
- 18:36Speaker 2: what's good for one community is good for all of them.
- 18:38Speaker 2: You take the regatta for example, when the regatta happened
- 18:42Speaker 2: a few weeks ago, that was good for Hurricane you know,
- 18:46Speaker 2: that was good for South Charleston. I know South Charleston
- 18:49Speaker 2: is planning their summerfest coming up. There's always something going
- 18:52Speaker 2: on that. We just had Woody Fest at the Shawnees
- 18:54Speaker 2: Sports Complex. Huntington's always got some. So my point is
- 18:58Speaker 2: is when these things are going on for one community
- 19:01Speaker 2: here in the valley, they're good for all of the
- 19:03Speaker 2: communities in the valley.
- 19:05Speaker 11: Absolutely absolutely. I mean, you know, West Virginia as a
- 19:07Speaker 11: whole is not you know, it's no shock to anyone
- 19:11Speaker 11: that were not you know, it's not a large state.
- 19:14Speaker 11: So you know, the more that we can work together
- 19:18Speaker 11: to achieve the same goals is you know, success for everyone.
- 19:23Speaker 2: And I'm honored to you've asked me to serve as
- 19:26Speaker 2: your moderator for this event. I mean, did everybody else?
- 19:28Speaker 2: Nobody else was available? I mean that's how I got
- 19:31Speaker 2: this gig.
- 19:32Speaker 11: No, no, no, you were our first choice.
- 19:34Speaker 2: No I was, No, I wasn't.
- 19:36Speaker 11: Yeah, you know you.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Were top five? Was I top five?
- 19:40Speaker 11: You were the first choice this year? It was a
- 19:42Speaker 11: no brainer.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to it. I've attended the event in
- 19:46Speaker 2: the past. I'm not a Hall of Famer yet. I'll
- 19:49Speaker 2: be a Hall of Famer at the end of October.
- 19:51Speaker 2: It's still pending right now. I may or may not
- 19:53Speaker 2: be a Hall of Famer.
- 19:54Speaker 4: I don't know yet.
- 19:54Speaker 11: I mean I guess, depending how well you do might
- 19:59Speaker 11: determine if you get to keep that or not.
- 20:02Speaker 2: And the thing I like about this event is, I said,
- 20:04Speaker 2: I've attended it just about every year, except for last
- 20:08Speaker 2: year because I was doing the radio thing, I couldn't
- 20:10Speaker 2: make it. But the great thing about the event to
- 20:13Speaker 2: me is that again it is you're in Valley Park.
- 20:17Speaker 2: You're going to have some fantastic food, great networking opportunities
- 20:20Speaker 2: starting at around eleven o'clock or so that morning. But
- 20:24Speaker 2: it's not in such a formal setting that people in
- 20:27Speaker 2: the audience can't take part and that they can't ask
- 20:30Speaker 2: questions and things of that nature. And just as I said,
- 20:33Speaker 2: fellowship you know, back and forth and get to network.
- 20:36Speaker 2: I mean, it's a set down event, but it's not
- 20:39Speaker 2: like a real stuffy event. I mean it's a good
- 20:41Speaker 2: opportunity just to learn from each other.
- 20:44Speaker 11: Yeah, absolutely, I mean we're gonna have representation, you know,
- 20:48Speaker 11: our guest list of folks that attend, or everybody from
- 20:52Speaker 11: Huntington to Charleston and here in Punnham County and beyond.
- 20:56Speaker 11: And I think that's the really great thing is like
- 20:59Speaker 11: folks that you know, you may do business with, say
- 21:02Speaker 11: you're say you're in Charleston and you do business with
- 21:04Speaker 11: some folks in Huntington, but you don't actually get to
- 21:06Speaker 11: see them that much, you know, in person. It's more
- 21:09Speaker 11: like phone or email or zoom or teams or whatever.
- 21:12Speaker 11: You know, this is an opportunity to kind of touch base,
- 21:14Speaker 11: you know, face the base and actually you know, shake
- 21:17Speaker 11: hands and and uh, you know, check in on people
- 21:20Speaker 11: and see how see how they're doing it. And so
- 21:22Speaker 11: having it here centrally located is a good opportunity because
- 21:25Speaker 11: it's equal distance for our friends from Huntington, equal just
- 21:28Speaker 11: from our friends from Charleston to come in and then everybody.
- 21:31Speaker 11: You know, it doesn't end up taking the whole day,
- 21:33Speaker 11: and it's a nice, you know, casual atmosphere, but really
- 21:37Speaker 11: just kind of talking about, you know, the success of
- 21:40Speaker 11: this metro region that we live in and that I
- 21:43Speaker 11: sixty four corridor and how we can all continue to
- 21:47Speaker 11: collaborate together.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Mandy. That's going to be on August the nineteenth, but
- 21:50Speaker 2: I would urge you if you haven't already gotten your
- 21:52Speaker 2: tickets to get them soon because this is this event
- 21:56Speaker 2: does sell out.
- 21:57Speaker 11: Yeah, I anticipated sell out by the end of the week,
- 22:00Speaker 11: so we do still have a few seats left. We
- 22:03Speaker 11: also can still take a table sponsorship up until Friday.
- 22:09Speaker 11: So if if you are not on the guest list
- 22:11Speaker 11: already and you would like to just give us a
- 22:14Speaker 11: shout here at the Putt and Chamber, or you could
- 22:17Speaker 11: also call all our friends at the Charles Mary Alliance
- 22:20Speaker 11: or at the Huntington Regional Chamber and they can get
- 22:23Speaker 11: us in contact and make sure that we've got you
- 22:26Speaker 11: on the guest list.
- 22:27Speaker 2: And I think I saw that the folks of Meek's
- 22:28Speaker 2: Rentals and Leasing are a big.
- 22:30Speaker 11: Part of this right correct, Yeah, we are so fortunate.
- 22:32Speaker 11: Meek's Rentals and Leasing has been our title sponsor, or,
- 22:35Speaker 11: our presenting sponsor for this event from the origination, and
- 22:39Speaker 11: so they really believe in in the value of that
- 22:41Speaker 11: regional collaboration and working together, and so when we first
- 22:46Speaker 11: brought this event to our boards of directors, the Meeks
- 22:51Speaker 11: Group was quick to hop on as the title sponsor
- 22:53Speaker 11: and has done so every every year since. So we're
- 22:56Speaker 11: really grateful for their support of the event. We also
- 22:58Speaker 11: have some other great VIP sponsors is Orang Shoals at
- 23:00Speaker 11: Charleston Mary Medical Center in Bandelia Health, Family Wealth Group,
- 23:03Speaker 11: Google and WBU Medicine, Thomas Hospitals. So and then in
- 23:08Speaker 11: addition to that, we've got a few of table sponsors
- 23:11Speaker 11: as well. So we are really grateful for the support
- 23:14Speaker 11: that the region has showed us for this event and
- 23:16Speaker 11: how much people have really enjoyed it and want to
- 23:20Speaker 11: see it continue and to and to keep moving forward.
- 23:23Speaker 11: And so we're we're really, really, really grateful for all
- 23:26Speaker 11: the support that we've received from the companies within the region.
- 23:28Speaker 2: And this is again is going to be a valley
- 23:30Speaker 2: park in Hurricane coming up on August the nineteenth. What
- 23:33Speaker 2: else is new in Putnam County these days? There's always
- 23:35Speaker 2: something going on.
- 23:37Speaker 11: Well, you know, let's see, we've got small businesses opening
- 23:41Speaker 11: up all over the place. You know, we're really excited
- 23:44Speaker 11: about that. We've had to use salonstop on. We've got
- 23:48Speaker 11: some expanding some companies, and you know, we're we're doing
- 23:53Speaker 11: We're doing good here, We're doing good here.
- 23:55Speaker 2: And then there was announcement made last week and I
- 23:57Speaker 2: talked about a little bit on the show that I
- 23:59Speaker 2: think this EXAs roadhouses coming to Tay's Valley, just to
- 24:02Speaker 2: add to the already impressive list of restaurants there. It's
- 24:05Speaker 2: going to employ a lot of people, so we want
- 24:07Speaker 2: to welcome them into town. But you add that with
- 24:09Speaker 2: all of the other culinary options that you got to
- 24:11Speaker 2: Putnam County. I mean, we got some we got some
- 24:13Speaker 2: good food over there. I know it always comes back
- 24:15Speaker 2: to food with me, but I'm telling you, we got
- 24:16Speaker 2: some fantastic local restaurants there in Tays Valley and all
- 24:21Speaker 2: of Putnam County.
- 24:22Speaker 4: I should say, yeah, we do.
- 24:23Speaker 11: We do. Here in Punnet County. We have over thirty
- 24:25Speaker 11: five locally owned restaurants, so entrepreneurs tholkse that have just
- 24:29Speaker 11: gone out on a lens to really showcase, you know,
- 24:33Speaker 11: something that's you know, their lifelong dreams and goals, and
- 24:37Speaker 11: so we've had some long steaming lines and some new
- 24:39Speaker 11: ones hop on and you know, we're we're That's one
- 24:43Speaker 11: thing that people don't always think about that we have
- 24:45Speaker 11: that many locally owned restaurants here here in Putnam County.
- 24:48Speaker 11: So of course we're always thrilled to you know, to
- 24:50Speaker 11: welcome new chains and we look forward to it. You know,
- 24:53Speaker 11: the people of Punham County have been very eager for
- 24:58Speaker 11: a Texas roadhouse, and that announcement I think was a
- 25:02Speaker 11: little uh premature, but they are in the planning process
- 25:07Speaker 11: and has to minis of permits. But so I think
- 25:10Speaker 11: a formal announcement is still to come. But the yues
- 25:14Speaker 11: that is that is in the work.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Well in the meantime, else just say this, in the meantime,
- 25:19Speaker 2: while we're waiting in that formal announcement, go get some
- 25:21Speaker 2: fried chicken at fireside, Go down to bubb Arenas, go
- 25:24Speaker 2: to Sergio's, go to eleanor Barbecue.
- 25:26Speaker 5: Uh you all know.
- 25:28Speaker 2: And we got a new place coming there too. Bogie's
- 25:30Speaker 2: is going to be opening up soon right there in Hurricane,
- 25:32Speaker 2: right right there, like actually in the town of Hurricane,
- 25:34Speaker 2: next to the hotel, next to the windomn right they.
- 25:37Speaker 11: Are, yeah, right next to the window next to the
- 25:40Speaker 11: you know, kind of in that little complex. There's a
- 25:42Speaker 11: couple of other restaurants in there, the Pizza Hut, things
- 25:44Speaker 11: like that. They're going to be right in there by
- 25:46Speaker 11: the Sparkle splash our our laundry, our laundry facility. They're great.
- 25:52Speaker 11: We have actually that has grown significantly. That's a great
- 25:55Speaker 11: small business that has grown and provided a real need
- 25:59Speaker 11: in the community. So but yeah, we're excited to welcome Bogie's.
- 26:02Speaker 11: They'll be opening soon. We've got a ribbon cutting next
- 26:05Speaker 11: week for the second location of Sculpted here in Liberty Square,
- 26:09Speaker 11: or not nextly two weeks from now. So we've got uh,
- 26:13Speaker 11: their opening in Liberty Square took one of our last
- 26:15Speaker 11: thoughts over there. They are a matty saw colled Sculpted
- 26:21Speaker 11: and we've got some new salons opening up and we've
- 26:27Speaker 11: got a few other other things in the work, so
- 26:31Speaker 11: I think, you know, we're we're still trucking on.
- 26:34Speaker 2: For and we've still got people moving in too, you know,
- 26:37Speaker 2: I mean New Core. Of course, there's been a lot
- 26:39Speaker 2: of those folks down in Mason County. They're chosen to
- 26:41Speaker 2: live in Putnam County. People from the surrounding areas are
- 26:44Speaker 2: moving in, uh every day to Putnam County. It's it's
- 26:47Speaker 2: the place to be, we do.
- 26:49Speaker 11: Yeah, we've got some folks moving in. We've got some
- 26:51Speaker 11: new residential developments coming online. We'll be breaking ground on
- 26:55Speaker 11: one pretty soon and be able to offer some new
- 27:00Speaker 11: housing opportunities for folks here. And then, like I said,
- 27:04Speaker 11: we've always got you know, houses available in some of
- 27:07Speaker 11: our premier neighborhoods as well. So we're thrilled to welcome
- 27:12Speaker 11: people and for anybody that is looking to move to
- 27:15Speaker 11: the area, we've got a great publication called Heart of
- 27:17Speaker 11: the Valley, which really showcases, you know, all that Putnam
- 27:22Speaker 11: County has to offer if you're wanting to relocate here.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I don't want to put you on the spot, but
- 27:26Speaker 2: we did have a text somebody wanted to know if
- 27:29Speaker 2: there's any update on the Amazon Warehouse and Fraser's Bottom.
- 27:33Speaker 2: You have any any updates on you.
- 27:34Speaker 11: Never have an update on that. No, I do not.
- 27:37Speaker 11: I do not have an update on that.
- 27:38Speaker 2: And the other question was and uh and I know
- 27:41Speaker 2: this is part of it. There's nothing you and I
- 27:42Speaker 2: could do about it. But about roads being repaved in
- 27:45Speaker 2: Putnam County, if we could get that done, we would
- 27:48Speaker 2: get it done. But that's not something that you that you,
- 27:50Speaker 2: as a Chamber of Commerce person, can get done.
- 27:51Speaker 11: If somebody wants their roads, all the majority of the
- 27:55Speaker 11: roads in Putnam County, listen, I am, I'm on the
- 27:58Speaker 11: same I'm on the same that I would like to
- 28:00Speaker 11: be able to to make sure all of our roads
- 28:02Speaker 11: are in great shape. But what you need to do
- 28:04Speaker 11: is you need to take a picture of that road,
- 28:07Speaker 11: that plot hole, whatever it is, and you need to
- 28:09Speaker 11: send it directly to the d o H. Send it
- 28:12Speaker 11: directly to them, send it to the Governor's office. Most
- 28:15Speaker 11: of our roads here in Putnam County are state owned.
- 28:18Speaker 11: That's one of the things that is that is often
- 28:20Speaker 11: we get we get a lot of questions like that
- 28:23Speaker 11: here in the county and to the County Commission or
- 28:25Speaker 11: to the cities, or to the town. And the reality
- 28:28Speaker 11: of it is is they don't. None of us actually
- 28:31Speaker 11: own any of these roads. The majority of them are
- 28:33Speaker 11: owned by the d H. So if you have a
- 28:35Speaker 11: road that needs needs fixed, take some photos, send it
- 28:39Speaker 11: up to the DOH, send it to the Governor's office,
- 28:41Speaker 11: send it to me. I'll be happy to also forward
- 28:43Speaker 11: that on to make sure because we don't you know,
- 28:46Speaker 11: we don't. Unfortunately, I don't get to travel every single
- 28:49Speaker 11: road that we have here in Putnam County. But I'm
- 28:51Speaker 11: I'm happy to help you. If there is an issue,
- 28:53Speaker 11: send it to me and I'll be happy to forward
- 28:54Speaker 11: it on and to try to get an addressed as
- 28:56Speaker 11: soon as possible.
- 28:57Speaker 2: All right, Ash off for a glance from the Chamber
- 29:00Speaker 2: of Commerce, Putnam County, State of the Valley coming up
- 29:01Speaker 2: August nineteenth at Valley Park. Looking forward to it. We'll
- 29:04Speaker 2: talk again soon.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Thanks a lot, Thanks so much.

- 33:24Speaker 2: Party Chair and delegate from the thirty seventh here in
- 33:26Speaker 2: Kanawha County. It's Mike Push.
- 33:27Speaker 4: Can he do on? Man?
- 33:29Speaker 2: It would help if I turn your microphone.
- 33:31Speaker 4: I'm sorry, Hey, thanks for turning me on. It's good
- 33:33Speaker 4: to be here with you. I actually represent the fifty
- 33:36Speaker 4: fourth district.
- 33:37Speaker 2: I didn't say thirty seven.
- 33:38Speaker 4: It used to be the thirty seven.
- 33:39Speaker 2: I mean value was holding for having old futer.
- 33:41Speaker 4: But I don't want people to confuse me with Delegate
- 33:44Speaker 4: Marty Gearhart, who is the current representative. So much in common, Well, yeah,
- 33:48Speaker 4: I'm sure. On the way, let me tell you, let's
- 33:51Speaker 4: talk about the fifty fourth district, because we're in it
- 33:53Speaker 4: right now.
- 33:53Speaker 2: About that.
- 33:54Speaker 4: I feel it is the greatest district in the entire
- 33:56Speaker 4: state of West Virginia, and right now it is the
- 33:59Speaker 4: musical Mecca of North America. Because I was just driving
- 34:03Speaker 4: to get here and the Billy String fans are already
- 34:06Speaker 4: out in full force. There are pop up tents going
- 34:10Speaker 4: up at the Benny Kettam parking lot and closed over
- 34:13Speaker 4: there to the coliseum at Convention Center. And what a
- 34:16Speaker 4: great day for Charleston. All these people are coming from
- 34:19Speaker 4: all over the place for this concert here tonight. So
- 34:22Speaker 4: that's great.
- 34:23Speaker 2: And for those who don't know who Billy Strings is,
- 34:25Speaker 2: I mean, it's really a fascinating So a guy from Michigan,
- 34:28Speaker 2: I think originally is from Michigan. The hottest bluegrass performer around.
- 34:32Speaker 2: He kind of he kind of meshes you know, the
- 34:36Speaker 2: older the classic bluegrass sound with some new grass in
- 34:40Speaker 2: there is as well. And he talks candidly about his
- 34:44Speaker 2: recovery from addictions. And he's definitely a man of the
- 34:49Speaker 2: people because I mean, my friends in the musicians community said,
- 34:52Speaker 2: he's been popping up all over Charleston. He was at
- 34:55Speaker 2: the Empty Glass the other night, Is that right.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Yeah, Sunday night. Apparently this is how this happened. It's
- 34:59Speaker 4: a great story. I guess he went and checked into
- 35:00Speaker 4: his hotel, and some great ambassador for the city of Charleston.
- 35:05Speaker 4: I don't know who it is, but somebody who works
- 35:06Speaker 4: at the hotel that he and I don't know what
- 35:08Speaker 4: hotel he's staying at, suggested that he go over to
- 35:11Speaker 4: the Empty Glass that they were having the post Mountain
- 35:14Speaker 4: Stage jam, and of course it was being hosted by
- 35:17Speaker 4: the John Ingram Band, which is one of the most
- 35:19Speaker 4: versatile bands around. So anybody shows up to sit and
- 35:22Speaker 4: it was the right band that was there. You know,
- 35:24Speaker 4: anybody could go sit in with with the folks and
- 35:27Speaker 4: the John Ingram Band because they're just such versatile musicians.
- 35:31Speaker 4: But that's what he did. He just went over and
- 35:32Speaker 4: just showed up. Apparently the doorman at the Empty Glass
- 35:36Speaker 4: actually checked his ID and charged him a cover, had
- 35:39Speaker 4: no clue who he was, which so you know, shout
- 35:42Speaker 4: out to Marvin there for doing his job. But he
- 35:45Speaker 4: showed up and he hung out all night. He played
- 35:47Speaker 4: a couple of songs with a John Ingram band, He
- 35:49Speaker 4: sat in with another Mountain Stage performer, and then went
- 35:52Speaker 4: out on the back patio and picked, you know, bluegrass
- 35:56Speaker 4: tunes with folks out there like Jacob Thomas, who happens
- 35:59Speaker 4: to be the flat picking champion of West Virginia. Uh
- 36:02Speaker 4: sat out there with him all night and and UH
- 36:05Speaker 4: and played. So this guy truly loves what he does
- 36:08Speaker 4: playing music, and he is just a regular guy and
- 36:11Speaker 4: he's been hanging out in Charleston since Sunday. His show
- 36:13Speaker 4: is tonight.
- 36:14Speaker 2: By the way, why did you bring him in with you?
- 36:16Speaker 4: I mean, I have no I've never met the guy.
- 36:18Speaker 4: I just I think he's very talented.
- 36:20Speaker 2: You probably wanted Here's here's probably wanted to meet you.
- 36:22Speaker 4: Here's the here's my part in this, all right. It's
- 36:25Speaker 4: great for the city of Charleston, and it's bringing people
- 36:28Speaker 4: in music fans.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Uh.
- 36:31Speaker 4: And there's already like a little what they call a
- 36:34Speaker 4: shakedown street. And I'm a deadhead, so this guy has
- 36:37Speaker 4: like a grateful dead type following. And there's already you know,
- 36:40Speaker 4: a shakedown set up over at Benny Ketam or people
- 36:43Speaker 4: are selling T shirts and jewelry and stuff like that.
- 36:45Speaker 4: So you can go over there, even if you're not
- 36:47Speaker 4: going to the show. You could go over there and
- 36:49Speaker 4: do some gift shopping for your loved ones. M huh,
- 36:52Speaker 4: but really, I mean, I'll also I need to give
- 36:54Speaker 4: a shout out to, uh uh, the our own Woody
- 36:58Speaker 4: Woods here who put on a phenomenal show with the
- 37:02Speaker 4: help of a lot of folks out at Shawnee Park
- 37:04Speaker 4: I'm sorry, out at the Shawnee Sports Complex. This weekend,
- 37:08Speaker 4: which also brought tons of people. Yeah, yeah, so I
- 37:11Speaker 4: mean I said, you know, the Canal Valley right now
- 37:13Speaker 4: is the musical mecca for the past few days, the
- 37:16Speaker 4: musical mecca of North America. And it's great. We have
- 37:18Speaker 4: people you know from you know, from going from from
- 37:20Speaker 4: Woody Fest with all the people that that brought in
- 37:23Speaker 4: and all the economic boosts that brought in, all these
- 37:27Speaker 4: music lovers coming in from all over the place now
- 37:29Speaker 4: to right to this where there's there there have been
- 37:31Speaker 4: people in town for days waiting for this Billy Strings show. Yeah,
- 37:35Speaker 4: and it's great for the community, great for Charleston.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Doctor to Mike Pushkinvedeve Island Show on Finve Andie Live
- 37:40Speaker 2: is brought to you in part by the Charleston Dirty Birds.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Birds are in Lexington through Thursday. They are back at
- 37:46Speaker 2: Gomark Ballpark though Friday night to take on the Blue
- 37:48Speaker 2: Crabs of Southern Maryland. Tickets promotions and more, visit dirty
- 37:51Speaker 2: Birds Baseball dot com. Talk about clothing vouchers here for
- 37:55Speaker 2: a moment, Mike, you know, and what's interesting is there's
- 37:59Speaker 2: been so many questquestions ask about the clothing vouchers. You know,
- 38:02Speaker 2: why did it start late why did it end early?
- 38:05Speaker 2: Where is the money? And yesterday the governor released a
- 38:08Speaker 2: very lengthy statement on it, and before I mean the
- 38:11Speaker 2: ink wasn't even dry on the statements that went out,
- 38:15Speaker 2: members of the Republican Party, including State Treasurer Larry Pack,
- 38:18Speaker 2: issued something to refute what the governor said. I said
- 38:21Speaker 2: this on the show yesterday, and I mean this with
- 38:23Speaker 2: all due respect. If the governor's done anything, he's united
- 38:27Speaker 2: a lot of people, Republicans and Democrats asking questions about
- 38:30Speaker 2: these vouchers.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Well, I think it's a matter of misplaced priorities on
- 38:33Speaker 4: the part of Patrick Morrissey and his administration. I mean,
- 38:36Speaker 4: they need to find a way to make this happen.
- 38:38Speaker 4: There are too many families that rely on this, on
- 38:41Speaker 4: this clothing voucher, this time of year where he had
- 38:44Speaker 4: to spend a little extra money to get your kids
- 38:46Speaker 4: ready for school. And there's also retailers who rely on this. Now,
- 38:49Speaker 4: you know, thanks to Delegate Minority Leader Hornbuckle and several
- 38:54Speaker 4: of us in the Democratic Caucus who were able to
- 38:56Speaker 4: work in an amendment for this tax free holiday that
- 38:59Speaker 4: we had. Those that goes hand in hand with the
- 39:02Speaker 4: clothing voucher and Unfortunately it wasn't a priority of the
- 39:05Speaker 4: Morrissey administration. And I was really confused by his statement
- 39:09Speaker 4: yesterday acting like this is something that we like. It's
- 39:11Speaker 4: like it's like it's so it's wasteful to help children
- 39:14Speaker 4: in need, Yet they find a way to fund the
- 39:18Speaker 4: Hope Voucher program over three hundred million dollars this year.
- 39:22Speaker 4: So to me, it's a matter of priorities. And I say,
- 39:23Speaker 4: there's plenty of blame to go around. I mean, Treasurer
- 39:25Speaker 4: Pack can say what he wants, but he was he's
- 39:27Speaker 4: been out there championing the uh, the Hope Voucher program,
- 39:30Speaker 4: which has blown a big hole in the budget. So
- 39:33Speaker 4: if we can't afford things, I'd say the Treasurer Pack, Uh,
- 39:37Speaker 4: you know is also to blame here.
- 39:39Speaker 2: But I mean we're not talking about like two different
- 39:41Speaker 2: pots here.
- 39:43Speaker 4: You know, it's a matter again it's a matter of Yeah,
- 39:45Speaker 4: it's two different pots, but it's still a matter of
- 39:47Speaker 4: priorities if you're going to backfill it somehow. Uh, you know,
- 39:50Speaker 4: you cannot have this discussion without talking about the huge
- 39:54Speaker 4: hole that is being blown in the budget by completely
- 39:57Speaker 4: opening up the Hope Voucher program to families that have
- 40:00Speaker 4: never even set foot in a public school.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Talking to State Democratic Party chair in Delegate Mike Pushkin,
- 40:06Speaker 2: a quick programming note, Delegate Vernon Chris, never a fan
- 40:09Speaker 2: of Governor Morris, Who's gonna be on talk line today
- 40:11Speaker 2: with Wilson Meadows that should be much listened to radio.
- 40:14Speaker 2: I'm going to get your opinion on something else might
- 40:16Speaker 2: get the State Republican Party summer meeting Saturday in Charleston.
- 40:19Speaker 2: A couple of things of note. One heavy to do
- 40:20Speaker 2: with allowing independent voters to vote in the primary election.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Now.
- 40:24Speaker 2: The party chair Josh Holstein was on with Meadows and
- 40:26Speaker 2: Wilson yesterday and talk Line we had the co chair
- 40:29Speaker 2: Tony Hodge on midday yesterday, both saying that this constant
- 40:33Speaker 2: debate over the subject of whether independent should be allowed
- 40:37Speaker 2: to vote in the Republican primary. They both said, paraphrasing,
- 40:41Speaker 2: that's been sucking all the oxygen out of the room
- 40:43Speaker 2: in their recent meetings. So they're going to allow it
- 40:46Speaker 2: to be discussed in twenty twenty seven, but then after
- 40:49Speaker 2: that it can only be brought up every four years.
- 40:52Speaker 2: So they did a bilag change there, so they'll discuss
- 40:54Speaker 2: it in twenty twenty seven, but then it won't be
- 40:56Speaker 2: able to be debated in a formal setting at a
- 40:59Speaker 2: Republican met until twenty thirty one. Your thoughts, I know
- 41:03Speaker 2: you're not part of the Republican Party.
- 41:04Speaker 4: Because I mean, that's on them. It's not a debate
- 41:07Speaker 4: on our side. We have chosen to include independent, unaffiliated voters.
- 41:13Speaker 4: We want to welcome people to have as part of
- 41:15Speaker 4: the decision making process in our primaries, and I think
- 41:19Speaker 4: our primaries turned out quite well because of that, and
- 41:22Speaker 4: we had a very good democratic turnout in West Virginia,
- 41:27Speaker 4: partially because we've kept our primaries open so they can
- 41:30Speaker 4: do what they want. If they want to limit debate
- 41:32Speaker 4: and be undemocratic like that, that is on them. That's
- 41:35Speaker 4: on them.
- 41:36Speaker 2: And also discussed they basically disavowed Elliot Print, the now
- 41:42Speaker 2: former delegate who's still on the ballot. I mean it
- 41:44Speaker 2: was a unanimous vote from what I understand, to basically
- 41:46Speaker 2: say we they can say you're no longer a Republican.
- 41:50Speaker 2: I mean, we don't recognize you really really that it
- 41:54Speaker 2: doesn't really hold. I understand it's more symbolic.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Than it is. That's an easy and I'm sure it was.
- 42:01Speaker 4: It was a decision to do so. But really it
- 42:03Speaker 4: doesn't really hold any water. It doesn't really mean anything.
- 42:07Speaker 4: He won the Republican primary. I'm not sure if he
- 42:11Speaker 4: had an opponent, but after the primary he is the
- 42:13Speaker 4: Republican nominee. And parties don't have the power to kick
- 42:17Speaker 4: people out of the party.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Well, but you know, if you had an issue with
- 42:21Speaker 2: somebody in the Democratic Party, you could easily just say, hey,
- 42:25Speaker 2: you're on your own, don't expect help from us.
- 42:27Speaker 4: But cannot kick somebody out of the party. Is that
- 42:31Speaker 4: that's a personal decision of how somebody registers to vote,
- 42:33Speaker 4: how they run for office, and the party doesn't have
- 42:36Speaker 4: that kind of power. State Elections Commission party rules that
- 42:39Speaker 4: do not supersed state law. That's what's important.
- 42:42Speaker 2: And the state Election Commission is going to meet this Friday,
- 42:45Speaker 2: I understand, to try to make a decision to where
- 42:47Speaker 2: to go from here, because there's so many nuances here.
- 42:50Speaker 2: I mean, you know, this is not as simple as
- 42:54Speaker 2: because of deadlines and so this is not as simple
- 42:56Speaker 2: as you say, Okay, you're not on the ballot.
- 42:58Speaker 4: I think it. I mean, it's really it is. Unfortunately,
- 43:01Speaker 4: you know it is quite simple because you mentioned my
- 43:04Speaker 4: counterpart on the Republican side, Chairman Holstein. He championed the
- 43:08Speaker 4: bill several years ago, and many of us stood up
- 43:11Speaker 4: and spoke against it, and I know all the Democrats
- 43:13Speaker 4: voted against it. But the purpose of that bill is
- 43:16Speaker 4: to make it very difficult to replace somebody on the
- 43:20Speaker 4: ballot after the primary. So he got his way, he
- 43:24Speaker 4: got the bill. He got that. You know, that's law now,
- 43:26Speaker 4: and you know it's important that we follow the law.
- 43:29Speaker 4: But I voted against it. I think it's a bad law,
- 43:32Speaker 4: but you know what, it is the law, and they
- 43:33Speaker 4: need to follow it. Just because it doesn't work for
- 43:35Speaker 4: them anymore doesn't mean they can just thumb their nose
- 43:38Speaker 4: at it.
- 43:39Speaker 2: So back to Ellioprid here for a moment. I mean,
- 43:42Speaker 2: this is interesting. I mean his political career has been
- 43:45Speaker 2: very interesting because he was a Democrat and then he
- 43:48Speaker 2: switched to Republican because I'm paraphrasing, he said he wanted
- 43:51Speaker 2: to align himself with the party that was more along
- 43:55Speaker 2: his lines. Of course, everybody if he's guilty of this,
- 43:57Speaker 2: and again it's everybody's innocential proven guilty. But if he
- 44:00Speaker 2: is guilty of this, and it ain't looking good right
- 44:03Speaker 2: now for him. You know, I think here nobody's gonna
- 44:07Speaker 2: disagree that he should be punished at the fullest extent
- 44:09Speaker 2: of law, obviously, But he's been a very interesting political guy.
- 44:12Speaker 4: Well, look, Elliott Pritt has switched parties. He has made
- 44:17Speaker 4: ten party changes. I believe ten party changes.
- 44:21Speaker 2: It's been that many.
- 44:22Speaker 4: Yes, he went from Republican to Democrat to Mountain Party.
- 44:26Speaker 4: He ran Mountain Party one year. He's I think one
- 44:29Speaker 4: time he wrote in that he was He wrote in
- 44:32Speaker 4: under Governor said he was a social He wrote that
- 44:34Speaker 4: in on one of his Yeah, I have the screen
- 44:36Speaker 4: capture that he wrote that in on He's. But he
- 44:38Speaker 4: has gone back and forth, and I'd say what he
- 44:41Speaker 4: is is and has been. And I've felt this way
- 44:45Speaker 4: for a long time, even before this horrific news broke.
- 44:47Speaker 4: He's an opportunist. And that's why I never had much
- 44:52Speaker 4: for the guy.
- 44:52Speaker 2: I tell you, all right, we got to leave it.
- 44:53Speaker 2: They We're gonna take a break to hang out with me.

- 48:01Speaker 2: You should ride down with me and taking the concert.
- 48:05Speaker 4: I got to actually got to sit in with the
- 48:06Speaker 4: Davison Brothers when they played at Yakfest. A couple of
- 48:09Speaker 4: weeks ago and Saint Albans is fun. We had a
- 48:11Speaker 4: good time. I've known those guys since they were just
- 48:13Speaker 4: we little Davison brothers, done them for a long time.
- 48:16Speaker 2: And they were Davis and babies, all right. So how
- 48:19Speaker 2: you mentioned the campaigns. How's the campaigns looking for the
- 48:21Speaker 2: fault state Democratic Party? But you guys have got some
- 48:24Speaker 2: You got some names on ballots which you haven't always
- 48:26Speaker 2: had the last couple of years. You know, kudos to
- 48:28Speaker 2: you and your staff are actually putting people on the
- 48:31Speaker 2: ballot because I've said, I don't care whether you're a
- 48:32Speaker 2: Republican or Democrat. I think people need to have a
- 48:34Speaker 2: choice and and so you, you and the others have
- 48:38Speaker 2: done a great job. So congratulations on that. And I'm
- 48:41Speaker 2: told talking to a political insider over the weekend that
- 48:45Speaker 2: Democrats are going to pick up some seats and West.
- 48:47Speaker 4: We're cautiously optimistic, but we're going to put in the work. Well,
- 48:50Speaker 4: we do have great candidates. I think if you if
- 48:52Speaker 4: you measure our candidates along their opponents, our candidates are
- 48:56Speaker 4: just heads and shoulders above what the Republicans have to
- 48:59Speaker 4: offer this year. And I think across the country, though
- 49:02Speaker 4: we're seeing people are just are fed up with the
- 49:04Speaker 4: way things are going on. People are tired of paying
- 49:07Speaker 4: high gas prices. Yeah, the President said he was going
- 49:10Speaker 4: to tackle inflation on day one, and he did not
- 49:14Speaker 4: do that. Prices continue to go up, and he started
- 49:17Speaker 4: an unnecessary war that he's having a really hard time
- 49:20Speaker 4: getting out of.
- 49:21Speaker 8: Uh.
- 49:21Speaker 2: We had a text from somebody that was at the
- 49:23Speaker 2: meeting to a Republican meeting saying, Elliott pre absolutely got
- 49:27Speaker 2: kicked out of the GOP. It's a done deal.
- 49:29Speaker 4: You can't just look if if that was the case,
- 49:32Speaker 4: then I got a list. Now if people we could
- 49:34Speaker 4: go kick out of the party. You can't just the party.
- 49:36Speaker 4: Can't just kick the Democrats that you would kick out. No,
- 49:39Speaker 4: of course not.
- 49:39Speaker 8: There is no joke.
- 49:40Speaker 4: I was joking, Well, what about on a national on
- 49:43Speaker 4: a national Yeah, that's that's the precedent that so say
- 49:46Speaker 4: there's a primary today in Michigan, that is that the
- 49:49Speaker 4: precedent they want to send is the Michigan Democratic Party
- 49:52Speaker 4: doesn't think that this candidate that got more votes should
- 49:55Speaker 4: be that is a better one for the fall, So
- 49:56Speaker 4: they could just kick them out. A political party can't
- 50:00Speaker 4: just kick somebody out of the party. If that's a
- 50:03Speaker 4: personal decision. Somebody registered that way and they ran, and
- 50:05Speaker 4: they got more votes in the primary. That is the nominee,
- 50:08Speaker 4: whether they like it or not, and party rules do
- 50:12Speaker 4: not supersede state law.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Tex says, you know, besides Joe Manchin and Shelley Moore Capito,
- 50:17Speaker 2: I think we need to have other great representatives in
- 50:20Speaker 2: West Virginia who truly are not nationally known, but we
- 50:23Speaker 2: do a great job. Ben Selango, Lance Wheeler, etc. To
- 50:26Speaker 2: visit Congress and the legacy media journalists to teach these
- 50:29Speaker 2: people how to freaking get along, even though they are
- 50:31Speaker 2: from different sides of the political spectrum, how to disagree
- 50:35Speaker 2: without being just nasty, insulting, and disrespectful to each other.
- 50:38Speaker 2: That's the issue. It's the sheer, mean girls type of
- 50:41Speaker 2: personal hatred spewed toward each other that I'm sick.
- 50:43Speaker 4: Of in DC. That was a whole lot, but one
- 50:46Speaker 4: thing that it seems that Republicans and Democrats have been
- 50:48Speaker 4: agreeing on, if you want to end on a positive
- 50:50Speaker 4: note here, we have been agreeing on our concern about
- 50:54Speaker 4: flock cameras and how you know, invasive that is, so
- 51:01Speaker 4: you know, against some people's right to privacy.
- 51:03Speaker 2: The Republicans and Democrats are coming together on that. Many
- 51:06Speaker 2: of them have come together on on Elliott Print. Many
- 51:08Speaker 2: have come together on school vouchers. We are closer to
- 51:11Speaker 2: having one party in West Virginia.
- 51:14Speaker 4: I don't know, but I don't know how close we
- 51:15Speaker 4: are in school about we actually want to fund it
- 51:17Speaker 4: and UH and the school voucher program and help. We
- 51:21Speaker 4: need to prioritize helping these kids going into the school year. Now,
- 51:24Speaker 4: are you all right?
- 51:26Speaker 2: Pushkin?
- 51:26Speaker 4: Appreciate you being here, my friend. Thanks for having me on.
- 51:29Speaker 2: All right?
- 51:29Speaker 4: You enjoy to see some live music tonight?

- 51:34Speaker 2: a look at it now. If you don't believe me,
