- Lynn: Hello and welcome to Amelyn's Corner of Chaos. today is the 5th of September 2026. It's a Saturday. And here we are set in our dark living rooms as autumn has arrived. Amelie: Yeah. We just realised that normally we record about this time and it's way brighter, but now we're sitting in the darkness. Lynn: Yes, yes. It's it came as a bit of a Amelie: Just the way we like it. Lynn: it's kind of the way we like it. It's just the getting used to it again, being able to Amelie: Yeah. Lynn: see the background very clearly and it's kind of being naturally zoned out is you know, dark and is kinda nice. but yeah, it gives it a bit of a gloomy vibe. And we'd we like that I guess, Amelie: Yeah. Lynn: but other people might be like, where's all the brightness and the flowers and the glitter and it's not here. It's it's not here in this background. Amelie: I normally put, yeah, I normally put like a candle in the background, but I just didn't think. Maybe that's what we Lynn: No, well Amelie: should have. We should just make sure that we have candelabras in the background. That would be cool. Maybe not so good Lynn: Mm, mhm, mhm. That would be pretty cool. Amelie: for the pets, I don't know. Lynn: I don't know, I don't know. we can experiment. Amelie: Might be interesting for the viewers. Lynn: Suddenly it's a tail going up in flame and you just see like what? Amelie: Here's Lynn just talking and there's just fire happening behind. Lynn: Just that sounds like a thing that could happen. Yeah, it hasn't happened yet. Goodness gracious. Yeah, eclipse season. I don't know whether we we could talk about that. If I don't know whether anything eclipsey has happened to you personally, I have a fun story that I can lead with. Amelie: Please do, please do. Lynn: Right. 'Cause I mean I I have lived a life so far where I've been very aware of certain things and blissfully unaware of other things, right? And it just started out at an astrological an astrology school, right? So I'm much more aware of things that are happening around us in the universe, right? like on on an actual astronomical level. And I was not aware of these things earlier. So when the when the lunar eclipse, the last one now it's just a few well a week ago. So when that happened, you know, there there was like this question, well, what did we do at the previous lunar eclipses? Because they all happen in Pisces, right? And this is the last one out of the ones that actually did happen in Pisces. So we're thinking about Pisces energy and where that you know, where that would hit and what it would do. And I had been super blissfully unaware, to the last lunar eclipse, but the one before this, last year, that there even was a blood moon, an eclipse. Like, you know, I was just, you know, going to the ocean because that's where I was going. And then I had this whole thing happen to me at the ocean where I just innocently stepped into a shell or I don't know, but it turned into a com like into a blood sacrifice to the ocean. No, I'm like I'm already bleeding. And it was a lot, you know. It's like, I'm bleeding. Hmm. Should I be concerned that it is bleeding a lot? Should I call anybody? No, it's probably gonna be fine. Anyway, I guess the ocean wanted a sacrifice. So here I'm making a full like a ritual out of it. And then on my way, and I was not just to the ocean, I was connecting my major, my main guide with us well, my diamond, right? And then I went back home. And as I was going home. I realize, you know, to today is like the blood moon, it's a lunar like lunar eclipse. Blood moon I'm like Anka Like connection and still unaware that it wasn't Pisces, right? Now then fast forward to this year where it's like, yeah I know all these Pisces things and I'm like, What did you do last year? I'm like, I didn't do anything last year. Wait. a big thing actually happened. And then they're like like a blood sacrifice to the ocean is a pretty big Piscean lunar eclipse thing. Like it's just on the T. So for this year I thought, you know I don't know, I like being out in eclipse time. Like some people get really well, superstitious might not be the right word, but they get kinda scared and they're like, you know, pulling back. And I'm not one of those people 'cause I'm a bit weird. But I I like to meet those strange phenomena with like mm quiet reverence I suppose. Like I'm not being like a lo I'm not like going out and doing like a loud ritual and anything, but I like to be present with that. so I thought I should probably go back to the ocean and try to not drown at least. If it gets because it it was supposedly a bigger like even bigger like with Mars doing its thing and everything. So it was there was a lot going on. So I do go to the ocean. And nothing particularly crazy happens at the ocean. But then the fun story is that I mean I was almost hit by another bicyclist on the way back, but that's also okay. I survived. I come back home and I I had this moon bracelet on me. It was a bracelet with like stones for the moon, like satellites and and stuff. And and I was just taking it off. It was just sliding it over my wrists and it's you know, it's just like one that's, you know, connected with like a like a rubber band, so it's not like pretty but I'm just sliding it over my wrist and it breaks. It just scatters all place. And I'm just like, I really like this bracelet. And I'm like, I guess a sacrifice was demanded after all. And a moon, right? And I was scrambling to try and find all the pearls. I had a picture of it so I knew how many pearls it was, different stones in it, right? So I was scrambling but I didn't find like I found all of them except for one. And I I looked everywhere, you know, I under my chair, under my desk, and I had vacuumed the place. I didn't find it, like I vacuumed the place several times after. And then today, I think it's eight days after the eclipse. And usually we count seven days before and seven days after is like eclipse season, right? So today Amelie: Yeah. Lynn: I just yeah, I just look under my chair. I just look, I just see. Which I've done many times before. And what do you think? The little pearl is right there. It's right Amelie: You found it! Lynn: there, like staring at me. I'm like Okay, eclipse season's over. Amelie: But do you think it was there the whole time or do you think it's someone kind of put it there right at that time? You just never know. Lynn: You know, yeah yeah, I my my my brain is split about these things because I have my very logical thinking brain and it's like it must have been there, but I have the other spiritual brain and it's like somebody bored and somebody gave it back, you know, I have a house spirit. But in my logical brain, I'm like I did I have this cover over my chair, but I I shook it because that's the first thing I thought. It must have maybe fallen into the fabric. I shook that out, you know, I looked at I looked everywhere. I looked under the wheels of my chair and it wasn't there. And I'm in a vacuum and I never heard like the k you know Yeah. So I was like, I don't know. Amelie: Yeah, yeah, yeah, because you can really hear beads. But maybe... Lynn: I don't know. And then suddenly it's just like boop, here I am. I'm like, okay Amelie: But isn't there also a psychological thing where if you're not supposed to see something, you just don't Lynn: Mm. Amelie: see it. But once you're ready to receive it or to see it, this is when you see it. So could have been there the whole time, but you Lynn: Yeah, I mean it could it? Mm. Amelie: missed it because it wasn't meant to be found then because today was the time. It's really interesting that it normally Lynn: Yeah. Yeah. Amelie: happens with with people as well, know, how you think that as an example, you're friends with someone and then Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: something happens and you see them differently. It's like the switch Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: in them in a point of view. And I think that Lynn: Yeah. Amelie: can happen with material things as well. I mean, it's half Lynn: Yeah. I mean mm. Amelie: material because it was kind of a spiritual thing because it was a bracelet. with selenites for the moon, so... Lynn: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah yeah yeah. Selenite and and Mother of Pearl and and Leopardite and a few it was a few different stones, but they're all like connected to the moon, but the faces of the moon. So in different colours. It was really nice. i it is still really nice, but right now it is disassembled. Dissolved. Amelie: You need to assemble it again. It's a shame we live so far away. I would do it for you. Lynn: Yeah, yeah. It would be nice to have it in a bit more something that's not as fragile as like these rubber bands can be. Amelie: Mmm, yeah. Lynn: But I can just I I had this plan of course of buying like like a rubber thing like that and I was just, you know, making it myself again. Like I can probably do that. But I just didn't go down I haven't gone downtown in like forever. Amelie: It's not time yet. Lynn: no. I usually have not felt mine going. Amelie: Yeah, it's like me today. I just didn't feel like going outside. I did some like chores at home but today I just been, I just did not want to do anything. I was just sitting on my sofa watching some really random things. You know when you're not really watching but you're doing Lynn: Mm. Amelie: other things and you're listening to it? Yeah. Yeah. Lynn: Mm. Like white noise. Mm-hmm. Amelie: That's why I was able to edit a little bit and Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: then take photos of my Thoth collection, Bart really inspired me and Lynn: Yeah, right, I saw that. Amelie: I thought, I know that I have a tiny fraction of what he has, but I thought to myself, I wonder how, because I actually didn't really know. At first I took photos of it and then I remember Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: that I forgot one of the decks, so I had to retake them. It was really dark in this room because it was early in the morning so the photos are like a little bit weird in the color but it was nice. It's nice to see like the whole Thoth collection and one picture. Lynn: Yeah. As I was surprised to to see that 'cause in my in my my brain is like the you know, I have a Thoth deck. So I don't need another Thoth deck, you know, that's I do have three Amelie: Yeah. Lynn: though! I mean I do have three 'cause I have the the first one I got which is like a big one. and then I have like the medium size that I always use and then I have a tiny one that I got. It's like a counterfeit version, I think. I got it because I wanted I had this idea of maybe making art with the car so I could like cut it 'cause it was not Amelie: yeah. Lynn: original, you know, do stuff with it. I haven't done that yet, but I it exists. So I'm like, people collect thoth decks. I was like that I mean I understand, but in my brain I was just like, well I have a thoth deck and and I need another this deck and then I have one Amelie: Yeah, it's really silly. It's really silly. It was really silly. I think it wasn't, I wasn't looking really, I think one of them I was looking for, the first one that I had to, I just had to get one Lynn: Mm. Amelie: because of, I didn't have a Thoth deck when I started the TMA. I actually, yeah, I didn't have one. Lynn: And now we have twelve or something. Amelie: I've seen them before and I've seen them many times but Lynn: Mm. Amelie: I honestly don't know how it came about. I always felt drawn to it but I never got it for some reason. I think one of the reasons Lynn: Time wasn't right. Amelie: was also because I did not like... So we all know that I'm very fussy with cardstock and colours and things like that. Lynn: Mm, mm-hmm. Amelie: And I think this was one of the reasons that a new deck didn't appeal to me because the card stock was very thin and I didn't really like the borders, the white Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: borders it had on the back. Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: So I really wanted to find one that didn't have those, not realising that those ones are really old and normally very expensive. Lynn: Hmm. Amelie: And so I was just randomly looking and On eBay, found this guy, he said, I found a greenie that I have and the guy said, there is no box or anything and unfortunately he said the, the two are pentacles. He said there was a scribble with a pencil there, but if you don't mind, you know, I actually don't really remember how much I paid for it. It must've been around 50 pounds or so. It wasn't very much, but it was still, Lynn: Mm. Mm. Amelie: you know, Lynn: It's still some Yeah. Yeah. Mm. Amelie: Like I understand, yeah, I understand this is an old deck, but he said, you know, there's a scribble. So, cause I think the greenies are normally around a hundred or over a hundred pounds, but he said, you know, it's fine because there's a scribble on the card. So I got it cause I thought that it's just really cool to have the old deck. So that was kind of my first Thoth deck that I got was the greenie. No, hold on. I actually bought a deck before. but I sent it back because I didn't like the card stock. So I'm kind of lying there. It's the first date that I actually kept. I actually Lynn: I do kept. Yeah, yeah. Amelie: kept because I just didn't, I really didn't like the card stock. I'm just really weird like that. But I thought it was really funny when he said that there was a scribble, cause in my mind I was like, hold on, hold on, two of pentacles. It has the sign of Jupiter on it. And it looks like a scribble. So when Lynn: Mm. Amelie: I got the deck, I looked at it and I said, it's supposed to be there. It's not a scribble. He thought it was a scribble that somebody just, you know, penciled something. But Lynn: wow. Wow. Okay, cool. Amelie: it wasn't, it was supposed to be there. Obviously he wasn't, I guess he wasn't like into it or anything. He knew it was worth something. So that's how I got that deck. It was very old, so I had to kind of clean it and all of that. But I love that deck. I think the cardstock is probably one of the best of all the Thoth decks. But with the greenie is also, they're quite big. It's quite chunky and it's quite big. And I struggled sometimes to shuffle it. So then I thought maybe I should get a smaller one. And... Then I found out that there is the one with the three magus. The three different magus. Mmm, yeah. Lynn: Yeah, my mom has that. Yeah, my mom that's the one that I grew up with. is that sort of right? The one that I started, yeah, with. Amelie: think that one is from like 93, 96. Lynn: That checks out. Like I yeah. Amelie: something somewhere around there I think it was the one that were the three maguses came out. So I have Lynn: Mm-hmm. No, the checks out Amelie: I have this one and I have Lynn: Mm-hmm. I remember that. Yeah, it looked like this. Yeah. Amelie: this, this version and this version. Lynn: Yeah, we ha we had the blue the blue cover Amelie: Mmm. Lynn: on that. And it must have been like seven, eight or something. Amelie: I really like that this is a really nice... Yeah, I like this version because the colours Lynn: Mm. Amelie: are quite vivid but at the same time the print is not... Obviously it's older so the print is not going to be perfect as it could be now but I think this is one of the best prints and I like the backs as well because the white borders are quite small. Lynn: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Amelie: yeah. And I just, Lynn: Days look look at deck. Days a day. Amelie: I can, look, I can geek out. don't know. I honestly just don't know why specifically the Thoth deck. I feel like I Lynn: Hmm. Amelie: can geek out a lot about the quality of the print, the Lynn: Hmm. Amelie: card stock, the different decks is really ridiculous. And then Lynn: I don't know what the one the big one I have when that is from but I bought it around two thousand five or six and it's the big one so it's this it's really big. It also has quite thin borders. Amelie: Is that one also has the three magases? No. So it could be... Lynn: No. That's just with one magus, yeah. But it hmm. Amelie: because I think this version is... yeah, it's this version. must be. I think this one is Lynn: Yeah, yeah, probably. Amelie: from... The problem is the dates on these cards are not from when... it's not from when there were... I think it's the... Yeah, this one is 96. Lynn: It yeah. Yeah. So here it's this ninety eighty six, but obviously I don't I bought it in like two thousand something and it was probably just I mean maybe the edition and they didn't change it at all this time. That could be. I don't know. yeah, or the copyright. Amelie: I think it's the copyright. It's not when it was printed, but it's the copyright when they got the copyright or something like that. Lynn: I there's actually a booklet, maybe the booklet will tell me because that should, right? Amelie: I'm not sure if it does actually. Lynn: There we're not sure either. But Amelie: This was one of the issues with finding out what year it was printed because... yeah. yeah. Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: I forgot about that. My deck has that one. Yeah. Lynn: It has a tree of life in it. And I never like back then I never understood what the f what that was supposed to be, you know. I'm like, okay, this is some strange magical thing that I don't know. But no, the booklet says Amelie: Yeah, yes, yes. Lynn: nothing about there there's no time stamp. Amelie: Yeah, no the booklet doesn't say anything and I believe this one... I think this one is... Lynn: Geeking out about cards. Amelie: 96 as well. Yeah this is, this is a really... I like this size as well because the print, because it's smaller, the colours are very vivid and the print is very very sharp in this one. Lynn: Mm-hmm. Uh-huh. Amelie: Which is quite amazing. But honestly I find that the new version, I'm so disappointed. It's just... Lynn: Like the unique? Amelie: Yeah, the one with the golden borders and it sounds so great like my gosh yes golden borders. How lovely. But it's really wonky. It was Lynn: Mm, okay. Amelie: it was so wonky. The print is very... Let's see where do I have it? Yeah this one, the new one. Lynn: Yeah. Amelie: Yeah the print is is very... The colours are not very saturated at all. So what I did, because I modifying things, I cut the borders. So I cut the borders. I still have the names and everything, but I cut the Lynn: Mm, mm. Amelie: borders, cut off the golden borders, and then I just penciled in everything. But Lynn: Mm, mm. Amelie: I mean, this is the official new, newest version. This is how it looks like with the golden borders. And this Lynn: Mm. Amelie: is the version that I did myself. I mean, look Lynn: Uh-huh. Amelie: at the colour saturation. To me, that's just disgusting. Making people pay for this. And Lynn: Mm, yeah. Amelie: the card stock as well, it's like, it's very thin and very flimsy, which you can really feel when you have a big deck like this. It's Lynn: Mm. Uh-huh. Amelie: very like... These ones are Lynn: Yeah. Amelie: a bit smaller because I got rid of the border, so it's easier for me to shuffle. That was like one of, not by much, but... yeah, this one is smaller as well, obviously, because I cut it. So... Lynn: I found it interesting that that they chose to do the to put the the night of is like not probably not a favourite Amelie: Yeah. Lynn: of Amelie: I think they've done this before as well. Yeah I think they've done, I think they've done this before Lynn: Yeah, of crowding. Also, where did I put my here. Amelie: in one of the boxes, old ones as well. Lynn: Hm. Amelie: I don't know. I was, I bought this because I thought I really want to get, because they said that they re, yes I have, I have this purple one as well. Lynn: That's the the one I well used. Two of discs as well. Yeah. Amelie: but I cut it, I cut the borders there too because I wanted to have a travel deck so that's my travel deck. That Lynn: Mm. Amelie: version has very nice colours as well, I think the colours are nice and vivid. Lynn: Mm. yeah. I mean I use that all the time. That's my that that is my deck. That is Amelie: Yeah, no, I think those colours are really nice. Lynn: Double Dub, she just came out. Amelie: Yeah, I can't find it. I'm trying to like, but even if you just look at the High Priestess, like the colors Lynn: Mm. Amelie: are just so desaturated. Lynn: Yeah. Amelie: But what I really liked about, like the reason why I bought it was because they said that they re-scanned the art. So I thought the new version would be very nice because if they re-scanned it, it would be like, Lynn: High expectations. Amelie: cleaner, crisper, high expectations and the saturation is horrible. But yeah. But I think, Lynn: Not mat. Amelie: I honestly think it's because the paper they printed it on is grey, so the background Lynn: Mm, mm. Amelie: is also grey, just like the greenies were. They were green, so it's Lynn: Mm, mm. Amelie: like green saturation. This one has this grey saturation, which doesn't make the colours pop and I don't like that. Hence why I did my I'm telling you, I can geek out about things like this. It's just ridiculous. Lynn: You already you already are. Amelie: There are certain things that really bother me, know? They just really bother me. And when you have a deck that is so beautiful, an artist that uses so many colors and it's... Yeah, why not make it, you know, make it perfect? Because now we have the ability to actually print things perfectly. mean, the technology that we have to scan things, to print things, to make it really good is, like, why not do that? Like, do it. And then I have... an old old version from I think it's from 73 73? What does that mean 73? I have two of these Lynn: Dad is older than we are. Amelie: I have these yeah even older than me I have two two of those for some reason but they also this is cool where was it so this this one is the one from 73 compared to the newest one here. So the print... Lynn: Yeah. It's also kinda greyish but it's but it's just like stronger in colour or Amelie: Yeah, the thing with this one is that obviously back in the day the way they were printed was slightly different and you can see that because the colours were printed on top of each other so you can see that it hasn't been printed perfectly, So there's a little bit of a like a... Some of them, yeah, yeah, yeah. Lynn: Mm the overlay. yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. Mm yeah distortion basically. Yeah. Yeah yeah yeah. Amelie: Some of them are fine and some of them... but it has this kind of brown undertone to it. Lynn: Yeah. that's really it's really cool. Like, yeah, it's different. It's almost sepia, yeah. Amelie: Yeah it is, it's really really cool. Now something I wanted to do but I haven't done it because I don't think it's a good idea. Maybe I actually was contemplating of like cutting it as in just trimming the borders off completely. Lynn: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Amelie: But then I thought to myself, this deck is really, old. If you go online and look how much they are, that's Lynn: Hm. Amelie: probably not a good idea. But somehow I'm just like, it would be so cool. Because the card stock is just cardboard. It's literally like. Like it's, I strangely like it, but it could look really, really cool if you use it and like use it, use it, use it. Lynn: Hm. But if you trimmed that yeah, if you trimmed that wouldn't the backs be very, very Like would you cut off the the cross? 'Cause it is quite quite tight. On the sides. Amelie: No, I think it's just about. Just about fits. you mean here? Yeah, you're right. Lynn: Yeah, yeah, yeah, the size because it seems quite quite slim. Hm. Amelie: Yeah, you're right. You're right, I would. Lynn: So you might not be able to do it aesthetically. Maybe this just has to stay. Yeah, it has to remain. Amelie: No, I think this is a sign. This is a sign. just, thought to myself like why I can't, someone would probably shout, Lynn: Mm hmm. Amelie: kill, someone would do something to me because I literally botched, botched this beautiful deck. So I'm not, I can't do that, can I? No, I just can't do it. But I love having them and it's- Lynn: I feel like Amelie: It's cool. Lynn: I would like the biggest or the the deck I have that is the most awkward to shuffle is the Dali deck. 'Cause the format is it's very tall and it's very slim. But then people have this thing where they but you could just turn it around, shuffle like that. So I can shuffle it like this, you know. Also I'm just shuffling it like that. It's just a three cards, yeah. I'm just shuffling it like that instead of because like this I'm like I barely get my hand around the stock, you know, it's like it's not shuffleable like that. But this would be Amelie: Yep. Lynn: a good candidate for trimming because it has these. I mean, it doesn't look bad, but but yeah. It has borders. Mmm, yeah. Mmm. Yeah. I'll bring it. Trim it in a day. Amelie: yeah, has borders like that and has borders there too. Yeah, that would work. I'd trim that. This is actually this direction that I used to... I like trimming. I like trimming cards. But that's the direction I used to shuffle my greenie when I got it because it's very Lynn: Right. Amelie: heavy and very chunky. So I kind Lynn: Mm. Amelie: of had to for a while. It's not very good if you like jumpers because it's not jumping up. Yeah. Lynn: No, but look, this is the entire deck. It's like it's big. Amelie: Do you find that your... What happens I find when you have decks like that, I feel like I scrunch them like this quite often. Lynn: Hmm Well, I mean I don't really because I'm just shuffling like this. So so I I haven't done that. Amelie: something that's fine. Lynn: Yeah, I haven't. But it's it's different. Mm-hmm. Amelie: Yeah, this one is burgundy too. But yeah, this, I... Lynn: La muerte came up. Ooh, ooh. Amelie: You know what? I was actually looking at this the other day because somebody posted it, I think it was eBay or something, you know how it pops up? And Lynn: Mm. Mm-hmm. Amelie: I was looking at it and I thought I just completely forgot this deck existed. Lynn: Yeah. And I Amelie: It's really cool. Lynn: this is also this was a gift by my mom. So mom is a major Dali fan. She's always been. Amelie: Mmm! Lynn: So she had the cards forever but she hasn't used them. And then once I got so big into tarot, she at some point gifted it to me. So this is the this is a German vers like I mean it's it's a Spanish slash German version. It says German German stuff on top. And I haven't used it Amelie: There is... Lynn: very much y yet, but there is a pull to it. The thing with it is that with Salvador Dalí b having been a magician himself, which I wasn't aware of until I was much older, he obviously knew what he was doing with the cards. And him using both like his own art and others' art, basically like my god, Mercury helped me out here. not Mer Mercury usually Amelie: Nope. Ew. Lynn: likes me, but you know when you just take different pieces of a thing and make an art out of it, like cutting out stuff and stuff, stuff, stuff. There's a word for it. It starts with a C. But it's basically like what he's done done with with his cards and there is in the book obviously it explains what he what it me or not exactly what it means, but kind of what he was doing in it. Collage, there you go. Amelie: Is it collage? Collage? Collage? Lynn: Yes, a collage basically, yes. And it kind of it it at least talks about the artwork. So anybody who studied art will obviously know which artworks are represented here. I have not. So I do not recogni I've might seen it, right, but I wouldn't be able to name them nor what they depict. So it's a really Amelie: Yeah. Lynn: cool cardstock to have. but I would actually, you know, have to or I would want to read up in the booklet what art is actually referenced and, you know, the history of that to be able to not just intuit on it, but to actually also know what Dali was or have an idea of what Dali was thinking and what Amelie: Yeah. Lynn: he was referencing with those. But it's a really really good it's a really great deck. It's I can I can I can feel it. Calling. Amelie: I was eyeing, it's not as good, I'm sure, but I was eyeing the Gustav Klimt deck, because they Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: have one with Gustav Klimt's Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: artwork as well, which I felt very drawn to. But then I know that because he used a lot of gold. And Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: I think that there used to be, I don't know if it was limited edition or maybe it's just difficult to to get hold of a deck that actually had the gold in it. it Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: was like a proper, cause otherwise I think without the gold, it is not going to be the same. So I never got it. I thought maybe that's a bit silly, but that's an artist that I always quite liked. But Lynn: Yeah. Amelie: I just have a feeling that Dali works better in. Tarot cards. It just feels like it would. Lynn: Yeah, pretty energetically. Yeah, energetically there's something there. Definitely. Amelie: Yep. Lynn: Mm. Yes. Amelie: Still this is my favourite deck the one that I made myself. It's Lynn: Ha ha ha. Amelie: because of the cardstock, I'm telling you, because I'm so, I like when my cards pop out and I specifically chose the, like, really thick cardstock and I think this is the cardstock that people normally use for, what's it oracle cards. So it's like an oracle-sized Lynn: Mm. Amelie: cardstock. Lynn: Hm. Amelie: I it's not copyrighted or anything. So I mean, the pictures of this probably not really, but I mean, I'm not selling like millions of these and I really wanted this. So it took me a Lynn: Just redact this book. Amelie: while to make it, but I just, love it. Cause it makes the art pop out because of the borders. Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: Yeah, it's just, I don't know why I'm like this. For me, it's not just artwork. It has to be everything, like the card stock, the size, the colors, everything. Gosh. Which, Lynn: Your special snowflake. Amelie: yeah. I don't Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: know why it's like this. I wish I wasn't like this, but unfortunately. Do Lynn: Do you though? Amelie: you have, do you have a, do you have like, a deck where you feel all of those points. They just, Lynn: That I Amelie: it's just perfect. Like the cart stock, the artwork, Lynn: Mm. Amelie: the colours, like the one perfect, like perfect on every level. It's... Lynn: Yeah, y you know I'm not I'm not fussy like that. So I mean I I do if I have like a card stock that isn't good or that that feels weird, I mean then you know, that's obviously a thing. but I I don't I mean I do like my Thoth deck and that is my favourite deck to use. It feels good, it's nice in colours, I like everything about it, energetically leads me, you know. So I really like that. But then I have different decks where e the cards are too too thin. unfortunately some of the levelin, not sure how to pronounce their n but the some of their card stocks are very, very thin print. So it feels like if I were to use them as much as others that they would break them, or it feels like you know, like they would get, you know, donkey ears or something really easily. Amelie: Yep, yep. Lynn: although the prints like the most recent one I have by them is Stephanie Pui-Mun Law's burden stack and that's a beautiful print so there's no problem there, it's just a very very thin cardstock. I do have I do like the feel of I'm not sure when they use like the linen print and I'm not sure that's always real in it, but I really like the feel of that because it's so very substantial and you have like the this there's a texture to it that I like. Amelie: Mmm. Lynn: The Uzi deck that I have. Has Amelie: easy to shuffle. Lynn: a similar yeah. Just that is very slippery. Like the Uzi deck is like you cannot it doesn't want to be shuffled. It likes to be spread out and fanned out. That's the only deck I have. The word that is like a thing. Everything else I need to like shuffle in my hands. And this is like just, you know, spread me out. and I have another deck. I can have it it's up here. That is very I think it's also like l printed on linen. And I don't use it's a D and D deck, so I don't really use it much. 'cause it's kind of more like a fun deck. But the quality I like the quality of it. not sure whether you'll be able to see probably be able to see. So that's like it's Yes it dies. It's quite thick. Amelie: it's nice and thick. Lynn: It's really thick. And it's it's also the colours are nice. So it's a really beautiful deck, in cell. I just don't I just don't use it or haven't used it much because it's a bit more playful I guess. And I guess I can just show it's it's already happening. and obviously they they don't use the they use D and D references and and and people from you know, the campaigns and stuff. so there's different references and it's one of those where it's just like the art it doesn't necessarily connect to the energetic meaning of the cards necessarily. Or Amelie: Hmm. Lynn: it has like their own meaning, right? So but it's Amelie: It's more about the... if you know the characters from the game, is it quite heavy on that or... Lynn: So if you're really if you're really, really I mean, I don't know of the lore either, so I don't know. But my my best friend who has been playing forever, she she's like, this is this guy and this is that guy and I'm like I would have So it's yeah. So that like it's the seven of wisdom. So you have like wisdom and you have intelligence. It's like an in intelligence. And it doesn't entirely Amelie: Well, that's cool. Lynn: yeah, follow the you have charisma. So it's it's very beautiful. It's just different as well, very different. if the hermit. Amelie: wow. Lynn: And I got the hangman here. Yeah. I Amelie: Interesting. Lynn: yeah, it's it's nice. It's really nice. Amelie: Yeah. Lynn: It's just look at this dude. It's gonna be my favorite dude. Look at that. And I mean it's not my f Amelie: there we go. I like the way he sits. Lynn: yeah, it's not my favourite dude, but he looks like he could be a favourite dude of mine. Just the kinda my type, isn't it? Amelie: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Lynn: Although he's seven of intelligence, so seven of swords I would I would think. He looks like the guy in the seven of swords. And the tower, of course, has dragons. And then you draw again. Amelie: There's more and more cards now with dragons. Lynn: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Amelie: Like the one that Luigi was talking about or will talk about depending on where it's going up. Yeah, Lynn: Mm-hmm. Yeah, with a sidhe Amelie: the Tarot of Sidhe has Lynn: Mm. Amelie: the dragon and the strength card Lynn: Mm-hmm. Amelie: which also has the Ukrainian Night. Night also has a dragon and a strength card. I think that's interesting. Lynn: Mhm. I I like I like that. And in the Burdens deck there is there's also several dragons, but there's a dragon in the Nine of Wands. In Amelie: Mmm. Lynn: Yeah, yeah. Well that was nerding out. Amelie: Yeah it's interesting. I can't believe, I literally just looked at the time and I can't believe that we just nerded out about cardstock Lynn: Cards. Amelie: and THOTH. We could probably do another 40 minutes but you know, let's not kill people. Lynn: That's bad. I mean Yeah, I don't think we should talk talk more about cards at this point. I think we're we're good. Chaos crew unite. Alright, well, thanks for jumping in and listening. it's been a pleasure, Amelie. Amelie: It's been a pleasure too. Lynn: Thanks guys and good night. Amelie: Yes, good night.
