- 0:00There are seasons of life you never would have
- 0:02chosen, seasons of pressure, waiting, disappointment,
- 0:06correction, failure, betrayal, seasons when you
- 0:10pray, God, why am I going through this? You ask
- 0:13God to change the situation, remove the pressure,
- 0:18open the door, defend you, restore you, bring
- 0:22you out. But what if, while you are asking God
- 0:27to change what is happening around you, God is
- 0:30doing something within you. What if the fire
- 0:33is revealing what success would have allowed
- 0:36you to hide? What if the waiting is developing
- 0:40something you will need when the door finally
- 0:43opens? What if correction is not rejection? What
- 0:48if the crack God is showing you is not evidence
- 0:52that you are finished? But mercy, revealing what
- 0:56must be repaired before it becomes a collapse.
- 0:59What if, even after failure, mercy still has
- 1:04something to say? Welcome to a new season of
- 1:07Pamoja Ministry, Refined for a Purpose. This
- 1:12season is about the person who walks into the
- 1:14fire and the person who eventually walks out.
- 1:18Because fire reveals things. It reveals character.
- 1:22It reveals integrity. It reveals pride. It reveals
- 1:27weakness. It reveals what happens when compromise
- 1:30becomes easier than obedience. And sometimes
- 1:34the fire reveals you to you. You thought you
- 1:38were patient until you had to wait. You thought
- 1:43you had forgiven until you saw them again. You
- 1:47thought you were humble until somebody corrected
- 1:50you. You thought you had self -control until
- 1:54temptation came at the right moment. you thought
- 1:57you trusted God, until God didn't answer the
- 2:01way you expected. But listen carefully, God does
- 2:05not reveal the impurity simply to throw away
- 2:08the gold. Sometimes exposure is an invitation
- 2:12to refinement. Throughout this season, we will
- 2:16walk through the lives of Joseph, David, Peter,
- 2:19Moses, Daniel, Jacob, Paul, John Mark, and others.
- 2:25People who were called. but still had character
- 2:27to develop. People who were used by God, but
- 2:31still needed correction. People who experienced
- 2:35failure, but discovered mercy. People who endured
- 2:39waiting, and later understood that preparation
- 2:43was also progress. We will talk about integrity
- 2:47when nobody is watching. The small crack before
- 2:51the public collapse. The correction we sometimes
- 2:55mistake for rejection. The failure that makes
- 2:59us wonder whether purpose is over. The mercy
- 3:03that meets a genuinely repentant heart. The blessing
- 3:07we prayed for. And whether our character is strong
- 3:10enough to carry its weight. And finally, the
- 3:15things the fire revealed that cannot follow us
- 3:18into the next season. Because maybe you are not
- 3:22simply waiting for the blessing. Maybe you are
- 3:25being prepared for its weight. Maybe the wilderness
- 3:30is teaching something the palace will require.
- 3:34Maybe the small assignment is strengthening your
- 3:37shoulders. Maybe the closed door is developing
- 3:41discipline. Maybe the correction is protecting
- 3:44your future. Maybe God is preparing your character
- 3:48for responsibilities you cannot yet see. But
- 3:52we will also be careful with suffering. Not every
- 3:56painful thing comes from God. Not every closed
- 4:00door is divine correction. Not every hardship
- 4:03means promotion is coming. And scripture does
- 4:07not require us to call evil good. The betrayal
- 4:11does not have to be good. The injustice does
- 4:14not have to be good. The failure was not good.
- 4:17The loss can still hurt. But here is the hope.
- 4:21The fire does not have to be good for God to
- 4:23bring good through it. God can redeem. God can
- 4:27restore. God can redirect. God can teach. God
- 4:32can transform. God can take what was meant for
- 4:35evil and refuse to allow evil to have the final
- 4:39word. That is why throughout this season one
- 4:43declaration will keep returning. God doesn't
- 4:46waste the fire. Maybe the fire will expose something
- 4:50that needs to change. Let it change. Maybe God
- 4:54will confront your pride. Listen, maybe conviction
- 4:58will reveal a crack. Don't defend it. Maybe you
- 5:02failed. Repent. Maybe trust needs to be rebuilt.
- 5:07Become trustworthy. Maybe you need stronger boundaries.
- 5:11Build them. Maybe you need greater discipline.
- 5:14Practice it. Maybe you have been protecting an
- 5:17image while neglecting your character. Stop protecting
- 5:21the image and allow God to refine the person.
- 5:26Because your gift may open a door, but your character
- 5:30must help you remain faithful once you enter
- 5:33it. Your talent may create opportunity, but integrity
- 5:38must sustain you. Your anointing does not eliminate
- 5:42your responsibility. to live a disciplined life.
- 5:46And perhaps the question is not simply, God,
- 5:50when will you change my season? Perhaps another
- 5:53prayer needs to rise. God, what must change in
- 5:57me before my season changes? This season is for
- 6:01the person in the fire, the person recovering
- 6:04from failure, the person receiving correction,
- 6:09the person waiting. The person preparing for
- 6:12greater responsibility. The person asking whether
- 6:16God can still use them. The person who has survived
- 6:20something, but knows survival alone is not enough.
- 6:24And by the end of this journey, maybe you will
- 6:27look back differently. Maybe you will realize
- 6:30the fire exposed me, but it did not destroy me.
- 6:35Correction humbled me, but it did not mean God
- 6:38abandoned me. Failure wounded me, but mercy did
- 6:43not leave me there. Waiting frustrated me, but
- 6:47preparation was happening. The wilderness tested
- 6:50me, but God was still present. And maybe the
- 6:54greatest miracle will not simply be that you
- 6:56came out of the fire. Maybe the miracle will
- 6:59be who came out. More humble, more disciplined,
- 7:04more prayerful, more discerning, more compassionate.
- 7:09more aware of your weaknesses, more dependent
- 7:12upon God, more committed to integrity, not perfect,
- 7:16but refined. So come with us, bring your questions,
- 7:22bring your scars, bring your failures, bring
- 7:25your dreams, bring the things you are asking
- 7:28God to change, and have enough courage to also
- 7:32pray, God, while I am waiting for you to change
- 7:36what is around me, Do not leave unchanged what
- 7:40needs to change within me. Because maybe the
- 7:44fire was never your destination. Maybe it was
- 7:48part of your preparation. Maybe you are not being
- 7:51destroyed. Maybe something is being developed.
- 7:54And one day, you may look back and finally understand,
- 7:58God did not waste the fire. I was, I am, and
- 8:03I am still being refined for a purpose. This
