  Speaker 1: prayer breaks chains. When prayer breaks chains, Acts twelve and

  Speaker 1: twelve says. When Peter realized this, he went to the

  Speaker 1: home of Mary, the mother of John Mark, where many

  Speaker 1: were gathered for prayer. You know there's something powerful about
• 0:27
  Speaker 1: a group of people who refused to stop praying and
• 0:31
  Speaker 1: Acts twelve. Peter was sitting in prison, bound with chains,
• 0:34
  Speaker 1: guarded by sixteen soldiers. Herod had already killed James, and
• 0:38
  Speaker 1: now Peter appeared to be next. From the natural perspective,
• 0:41
  Speaker 1: there was no way out. The prison was secure, the
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: guards were watching. The iron gates stood between Peter and freedom.
• 0:48
  Speaker 1: But while Peter was in prison, the church was praying,
• 0:51
  Speaker 1: Come on Jesus. They couldn't physically get Peter out. They
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: couldn't overpower the guards, they couldn't open the iron gates,
• 0:59
  Speaker 1: but they could prayer. And while they were praying, God
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: moved an angel entered that prison. Peter's chains fell off,
• 1:07
  Speaker 1: and he was led past the guards and through the
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: iron gate. The very thing that looked impossible became possible
• 1:14
  Speaker 1: because somebody refused to stop praying. Will that somebody be you.

  Speaker 1: Maybe there is someone in your life who needs an
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: Acts twelve breakthrough. Maybe it's your child who wandered away
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: from the values you've taught them. Maybe it's a family
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: member battling an addiction. Maybe it's a friend making destructive decisions.

  Speaker 1: Maybe it's someone you love who is surrounded by the
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: wrong people and headed in the wrong direction. You may
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: look at them and think, I don't know how they're
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: ever gonna change. But here's the good news. You don't
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: have to know how. You just gotta pray. Don't let
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: the length of the battle convince you that God isn't listening.
• 1:54
  Speaker 1: Don't stop praying because you haven't seen the answer yet.

  Speaker 1: Your prayers are not wasted, Your tears are not wasted,

  Speaker 1: Your intercession is not wasted. And instead of constantly talking

  Speaker 1: about the person who's struggling, talk to God about them.

  Speaker 1: Instead of criticizing them, cover them. Instead of rehearsing their mistakes,

  Speaker 1: remind God of his promises. Instead of saying they'll never change,
• 2:17
  Speaker 1: start saying, God, I believe you can turn their life around.

  Speaker 1: You may not be able to reach them, but your
• 2:23
  Speaker 1: prayers can reach the throne. Of God. You may not
• 2:26
  Speaker 1: be able to break the chain, but God can. You
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: may not be able to open the door, Oh, but
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: God can. And when God decides it's time, the chains
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: can fall off, the doors can open, Minds can be renewed,
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: hearts can be changed, and lives can be restored. So
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: you keep standing in the gap, keep believing, keep inter seeding.
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: Your prayer may be the very thing God uses to
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: unlock somebody else's prayers. And come on, Jesus, Father, thank
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: you for the privilege and the power of prayer. Thank
• 2:56
  Speaker 1: you that we can stand in the gap for the
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: people we love who are struggling, hurt and confused or
• 3:01
  Speaker 1: bound by things they can't seem to break free from. Lord,
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: we lift them before you right now. Where there are chains,
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: bring free no where there's confusion, Bring clarity where there
• 3:12
  Speaker 1: is addiction. You bring deliverance where there's rebellion. You so
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: offfer the hearts and restore relationships. Send the right people,
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: open the right doors, and give them the strength to
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: make better choices. Father, help us not to give up
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: when we don't see immediate results. Teach us to keep praying,
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: keep believing, and keep trusting you God. We declare that
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: no prison is too secure, no chain is too strong,
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: and no situation is too difficult for you. Oh, we
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: believe that you're still setting prisoners free. In the name
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: of Jesus who. That's your word for today, Take it
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: applied to your everyday life, and you continue to be
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: encouraged at inspired is surely wanting praise party. I am
