- 0:07Speaker 1: Well, well, well, we told you Herrath would deliver, but
- 0:10Speaker 1: no one said it was going to be this unhinged.
- 0:14Speaker 1: We had magic at the front, we had drama and
- 0:16Speaker 1: the gravel and results that we weren't expecting because Hared
- 0:20Speaker 1: looked at everyone's race predictions, well Matt's race predictions, and
- 0:24Speaker 1: just said, you know what, lest of them straight in
- 0:26Speaker 1: the bin. But for our Aussies we had another reason
- 0:29Speaker 1: to celebrate, because honestly, this weekend had everything. Victory's drama, confusion,
- 0:33Speaker 1: co questionable choices, and boy do we have plenty to
- 0:38Speaker 1: talk about now. This episode of Pittook is brought to
- 0:40Speaker 1: you by Shunning's Insurance. I'm your host, Rneita vmullen, and
- 0:43Speaker 1: of course I'm joined by the voice of reason, or
- 0:47Speaker 1: at least someone who'll try to make sense of whatever
- 0:49Speaker 1: happened this weekend, mister Matt Clayton. Matt, Hello, and I
- 0:54Speaker 1: just want to say hello from Herath because I am
- 0:57Speaker 1: here Monday's test session and you guys can probably hear
- 0:59Speaker 1: the likes out on track behind me right now.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a bit more exciting than the backdrop that
- 1:04Speaker 2: I've got here. After a very late night here in Melbourne,
- 1:06Speaker 2: after covering the first European round of the season. I'm
- 1:09Speaker 2: a bit out of practice, but when you said voice
- 1:11Speaker 2: of reason, I thought you were going to say something
- 1:12Speaker 2: a little less complimentary, and I probably would have agreed
- 1:14Speaker 2: with you, because my crystal ball with what I predicted
- 1:17Speaker 2: was going to happen over the course of the weekend
- 1:20Speaker 2: at her death, was pretty busted. By the end of
- 1:22Speaker 2: the weekend. I'm pretty sure I might have got Marco
- 1:25Speaker 2: Berzeki in about the right spot, but everyone else probably
- 1:27Speaker 2: in the wrong spot. So yeah, not my finest work.
- 1:30Speaker 2: But to be fair to me and everybody else, we
- 1:32Speaker 2: had a guy who win a Grand Prix that hadn't
- 1:35Speaker 2: really done anything in the opening three rounds of the year.
- 1:37Speaker 2: And have we seen a crazier Motor Peace sprint? Because
- 1:42Speaker 2: I was thinking about you when that was going on
- 1:43Speaker 2: on Saturday night Australian time. That's one of those times
- 1:46Speaker 2: if you've been in a press room where everyone stops
- 1:48Speaker 2: analyzing and everyone's just giggling because it was just purely
- 1:51Speaker 2: ridiculous what was going on over those twelve laps.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I'm sure that was some fun.
- 1:55Speaker 1: It was a lot of fun. So for those watching
- 1:57Speaker 1: on YouTube right now, you'll see behind me, got a
- 2:00Speaker 1: Lorenzo and Mark Marque's backdrop here, and this is the
- 2:03Speaker 1: Media Center and what it's like here. But talking about
- 2:06Speaker 1: the Media Center and that Saturday sprint, you're exactly right.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Everyone stopped typing when the rain started coming down, and
- 2:13Speaker 1: we sat the crashes, and then we had the bike swap,
- 2:15Speaker 1: and then obviously we had all that drama with Mark
- 2:17Speaker 1: Marquez and the pit lane entry and whatnot, which I'm
- 2:20Speaker 1: sure we'll go to. But it went from hearing keyboards
- 2:23Speaker 1: typing to just what is going on and like everything erupting.
- 2:28Speaker 1: But the fact that the crowd, like the numbers here
- 2:30Speaker 1: which we saw on the broadcast, the amount of people
- 2:33Speaker 1: that come to this Grand Prix is like nothing I've
- 2:35Speaker 1: ever seen before. But the crowd had like garbage bags,
- 2:39Speaker 1: like trash bags, arms cut out to try and stop
- 2:42Speaker 1: the rain, like the umbrellas, and they were living for it,
- 2:45Speaker 1: just as I'm sure all the Aussies were back home
- 2:47Speaker 1: watching it on TV because you couldn't have scripted it. Honestly,
- 2:51Speaker 1: coming into this weekend, I looked at the weather, I'm like, oh,
- 2:54Speaker 1: it's gonna be sunny and it's hot. This typical press
- 2:57Speaker 1: I mean, I know it's rained a few times in
- 2:58Speaker 1: the past, and then you come here and it's so
- 3:01Speaker 1: much cooler than they expected. Like they're talking cooler temperatures
- 3:05Speaker 1: more like when roto to Moto three test here, which
- 3:08Speaker 1: changes everything how the track feels. And then the Sunday's
- 3:11Speaker 1: race is sunny and hot, completely different to before. So
- 3:15Speaker 1: it's just a weekend when we weren't expecting. But I
- 3:17Speaker 1: think coming into the European races, it's a good way
- 3:21Speaker 1: to start the season because we've already got this shakeup happening.
- 3:24Speaker 1: We've got Puck Marquez crashing out of a Grand Prix again. Again,
- 3:28Speaker 1: that was not on your bingo card. That was not prediction.
- 3:32Speaker 2: And what was interesting was that he I like to
- 3:37Speaker 2: I love watching people's body language, and it's the things
- 3:39Speaker 2: that some people don't say more than what they do.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Sometimes it gives you a bit of an insight as
- 3:43Speaker 2: to how they're feeling about things. And you know, Market
- 3:45Speaker 2: obviously had the month off since Texas, and he came
- 3:48Speaker 2: into his press debrief on Thursday and showed everyone that
- 3:51Speaker 2: hillacious scar that he had on his arm from the
- 3:53Speaker 2: spill that he'd had at Cota. But there's been enough
- 3:56Speaker 2: time between Coder and her wrath, and you could tell
- 4:00Speaker 2: he was sort of walking with that bit more of
- 4:02Speaker 2: a Mark swagger, like he sort of felt that he
- 4:04Speaker 2: was closer to being physically back. And then he goes
- 4:07Speaker 2: and takes pole and then he wins the sprint, which
- 4:09Speaker 2: is another soap opera in itself, and I was I
- 4:13Speaker 2: was really surprised with the fact that he felt the
- 4:17Speaker 2: need to push as hard as he did to crash
- 4:18Speaker 2: so early in the Grand Prix, when he admitted afterwards
- 4:22Speaker 2: that he didn't think he had anything for Alex over
- 4:24Speaker 2: the course of the weekend anyway. So this is one
- 4:26Speaker 2: of those weekends for Mark where okay, you might not
- 4:28Speaker 2: win the race, but you need to score some points
- 4:31Speaker 2: relative to Marco Bozeki because you look at the point
- 4:34Speaker 2: standings now he is a long long way behind. I
- 4:38Speaker 2: know there's still eighteen rounds to go, but to think
- 4:41Speaker 2: he's more than an entire Grand Prix weekend's worth of
- 4:44Speaker 2: points now behind first place. If we go to Lemon
- 4:48Speaker 2: at the end of next week and he wins a
- 4:49Speaker 2: sprint in the Grand Prix and Berzeki doesn't score, he's
- 4:51Speaker 2: still behind Berzeki. The Championship. That's how far back Mark
- 4:54Speaker 2: is right now. And you know, physically he looks better,
- 4:57Speaker 2: but he's still got one hundred percent back. So it's
- 4:59Speaker 2: a little bit. I thought this was the weekend he
- 5:03Speaker 2: was going to come out and remind everyone, all right,
- 5:05Speaker 2: I'm Mark Marquez, like it's nice, you've all had your fun,
- 5:07Speaker 2: I'm going to be back, And it sort of half happened, like, yes,
- 5:11Speaker 2: he got pole, that was fine, and the sprint win
- 5:14Speaker 2: was he was lucky to crash where he crashed, but look,
- 5:16Speaker 2: he's still got it dart in the end where everyone
- 5:18Speaker 2: else made mistakes. But yeah, really surprised with what happened
- 5:21Speaker 2: in the Grand Prix. And you're never going to write
- 5:24Speaker 2: someone like markoff. He's too good obviously, and the pace
- 5:26Speaker 2: is still there, but the decade's not a fantastic bike
- 5:30Speaker 2: right now. He's not one hundred percent fit, and he's
- 5:33Speaker 2: just got pretty much no momentum because he keeps throwing
- 5:35Speaker 2: himself down the road like he's having a lot of
- 5:37Speaker 2: crashes right now.
- 5:38Speaker 3: So yeah, super interesting.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Point of the championship because we were just talking about
- 5:41Speaker 2: this off air before we came on. It's been such
- 5:44Speaker 2: a weird season that We've had these huge breaks right
- 5:46Speaker 2: between races, but now the pace starts to pick up
- 5:49Speaker 2: a bit. You look at what we've got. You know,
- 5:50Speaker 2: Lamon and Catalonia is a back to back. Then there's
- 5:52Speaker 2: a week off, then I think we go to Magello
- 5:54Speaker 2: after that. It's starting to really pick the pace up now,
- 5:57Speaker 2: and he can't afford too many more of these sort
- 6:01Speaker 2: of ropie weekends because right now the Apulias is so
- 6:03Speaker 2: super consistent. They don't look like they're going to beat themselves,
- 6:06Speaker 2: do they.
- 6:07Speaker 1: No, exactly? And us the thing is like old track,
- 6:11Speaker 1: Like this is a track that every rider in this
- 6:13Speaker 1: paddick's done a bajillion laps on before, so they could
- 6:16Speaker 1: literally ride this circuit with their eyes closed so they
- 6:18Speaker 1: know in and out. So this is where you know, okay,
- 6:21Speaker 1: this is where they're starting to make the changes within themselves,
- 6:24Speaker 1: within their running soul or the finalizing the bike. It's
- 6:27Speaker 1: these little key points. And then, like you said, Mark
- 6:30Speaker 1: has clearly been pushing this weekend because in Thursday's press conference,
- 6:35Speaker 1: Alex Marquez said, I've got nothing this weekend. I'm not
- 6:39Speaker 1: going to win. There's no way because he was last
- 6:42Speaker 1: year's winner. Right goes out and does it on Sunday,
- 6:44Speaker 1: and then you hear Mark all weekend being like Alex
- 6:47Speaker 1: is clearly just stronger everywhere, which we saw there's parts
- 6:51Speaker 1: where Mark was fast and you managed to put that
- 6:53Speaker 1: lap in in the mixed conditions during qualifying on Saturday.
- 6:55Speaker 1: But we know that's one of his strengths as well,
- 6:58Speaker 1: him and Zako, that's why they were on the front row.
- 7:01Speaker 1: But I think for Mark the crashes are starting to
- 7:05Speaker 1: play mentally. Now I heard a fact. Don't quote me
- 7:08Speaker 1: entirely on it, but it's something like his biggest deficit
- 7:12Speaker 1: that he had in points when he won the championship
- 7:15Speaker 1: was thirty six.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I'll say something along those lines.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Yes, it is already forty something forty four. Yep, there
- 7:23Speaker 1: you go. See you know, so this is this is
- 7:25Speaker 1: where the mental side of things is going to start
- 7:28Speaker 1: to come in, because this is the part of the
- 7:29Speaker 1: championship where he's meant to come back in and dominate
- 7:33Speaker 1: because it's Mark Marquez.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Seeing it and the other aspect of this. Of course,
- 7:38Speaker 2: that's the Mark side of the equation here. Marco Bozeki,
- 7:42Speaker 2: this was like he was not going to win every
- 7:45Speaker 2: race for the history of time. While he was in
- 7:47Speaker 2: murder GP. Let's be honest, do you feel like that?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Because he won the last five and led every lap,
- 7:50Speaker 2: of course, but you win championships on days like Sunday
- 7:54Speaker 2: at Hares where whatever the best possible result you can get.
- 7:59Speaker 2: If you can't win, that's the result you've.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Got to get. And he didn't have anything.
- 8:03Speaker 2: For Alex Marquez in the race, but he was better
- 8:06Speaker 2: than everybody else, So you've got this bizarre like Bozeki,
- 8:11Speaker 2: he won even though he lost on Sunday, and that
- 8:13Speaker 2: he actually increased his margin at the leader of the
- 8:15Speaker 2: championship despite not winning the race, So that shows you
- 8:18Speaker 2: where he is right now, Like even on the days
- 8:20Speaker 2: when he doesn't win, he's still banking a heap of
- 8:22Speaker 2: points over the course of these weekends, and he's actually
- 8:24Speaker 2: got a bigger lead after hereth than what he arrived.
- 8:27Speaker 1: With no exactly, and watching Marco over sect okay. One
- 8:33Speaker 1: thing for the listeners of people watching Matt talks about
- 8:36Speaker 1: body language and I'm starting to learn this and I'm
- 8:38Speaker 1: starting to watch everything. It was really interesting in the
- 8:40Speaker 1: press conference watching Marcro's body language because you could kind
- 8:44Speaker 1: of tell that he was a bit disappointed in himself
- 8:46Speaker 1: that he wasn't able, but he kept saying, you know here,
- 8:50Speaker 1: it just wasn't entirely the case, like he couldn't put
- 8:53Speaker 1: everything together. Mark and Alex got way really quickly. They
- 8:57Speaker 1: had some tech troubles blah blah blah. But he's bodyling
- 9:00Speaker 1: I thought was really interesting. I kind of thought in
- 9:04Speaker 1: himself that he thought the winning streak was going to continue.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Interesting sitting there, just the facial expressions.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I agree. I love priding myself as an
- 9:15Speaker 2: amateur body language doctor. I think it's just super interesting
- 9:17Speaker 2: because it's across every sport. There's some people that are
- 9:20Speaker 2: so good at playing the body language game, and there's
- 9:22Speaker 2: other people that are absolutely terrible at it. But this
- 9:24Speaker 2: shows you the evolution of someone like Bez in that
- 9:27Speaker 2: he now there's a proof of concept with him. It's like, oh, yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 2: I am really quite good at this, and I can
- 9:32Speaker 2: win motor GP races, and I can win successive races,
- 9:34Speaker 2: and I can string these races together. But we talked
- 9:38Speaker 2: a little bit before about the Aprillia again. Yes, a
- 9:41Speaker 2: Ducati won of Grand Prix for the first time in
- 9:42Speaker 2: a while. We had two Ducaddies on the podium. We
- 9:45Speaker 2: still had four Aprilias in the top six. And you
- 9:48Speaker 2: know that bike right now. It is the bike for
- 9:52Speaker 2: all circuits, for all seasons, for all conditions. The dcady's
- 9:57Speaker 2: got a lot of work to do here. This isn't
- 9:59Speaker 2: just going to be one of these inevitable Oh well,
- 10:01Speaker 2: apprilliable sort have come back to the field a little bit.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Jucatti's got some issues. Clearly, Mark's not one hundred percent fit.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Pekabanyaya looks like a guy who's going to work elsewhere
- 10:11Speaker 2: next year. Spoiler alert, He's a man who's going to
- 10:13Speaker 2: work elsewhere next year, so that's probably why he looks
- 10:15Speaker 2: a little bit checked out right now. And if you
- 10:17Speaker 2: looked at all the Jucatti writers, Aldergaret has been injured
- 10:20Speaker 2: and he's still coming back. Alex has had one decent
- 10:22Speaker 2: weekend out of four. If it wasn't for Fabio di
- 10:25Speaker 2: jan Antonio right now, who's clearly Ducatti's best writer. The
- 10:30Speaker 2: Ducatti thing's a bit messing, which is not something we've
- 10:32Speaker 2: said about Ducatti very much in the last five years.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Is it not exactly? It is clear as day. Even
- 10:39Speaker 1: in the press conference yesterday, someone asked him, I can't
- 10:43Speaker 1: remember the question exactly, but it's like, you know, you're
- 10:45Speaker 1: clearly the strongest du Caddi writer at the moment. What's
- 10:48Speaker 1: going on there? And he's like, I just seem to
- 10:51Speaker 1: be making the most of the current situation. He's like,
- 10:54Speaker 1: what I'm writing is no different to Alex remarks, It's
- 10:57Speaker 1: all the same. I just make the most of it.
- 11:00Speaker 3: You know.
- 11:00Speaker 2: What's really interesting something that I was told by someone
- 11:02Speaker 2: that would know these things in the paddock is that
- 11:05Speaker 2: Decatti's been bringing a lot of updates and variations on
- 11:09Speaker 2: things and this part and that part and the other part,
- 11:11Speaker 2: and everyone's trying this that and the next thing and
- 11:13Speaker 2: dig you as one of these sorts of guys. It's like,
- 11:16Speaker 2: just leave me with what I've got and allow me
- 11:18Speaker 2: to really understand what it is that I've got around me,
- 11:22Speaker 2: and then I will ride as a confident rider. And
- 11:25Speaker 2: it's really interesting. He's probably making fewer changes than anyone
- 11:29Speaker 2: else to his bike weekend to weekend right now, but
- 11:31Speaker 2: it feels like he's the guy who's most consistent. And
- 11:34Speaker 2: there might be a theme there, like maybe they're just
- 11:36Speaker 2: trying to bring too much development to this bike too soon,
- 11:39Speaker 2: whereas he's probably approaching it a bit more methodically, saying,
- 11:42Speaker 2: let me understand what I've got, I'll maximize that, and
- 11:45Speaker 2: then when I get to the point where I feel
- 11:47Speaker 2: completely on top of that and I want to add
- 11:48Speaker 2: something that might give me some more performance, then that's
- 11:51Speaker 2: the time to do that.
- 11:52Speaker 3: I mean.
- 11:53Speaker 2: The other thing with you you have to remember is
- 11:55Speaker 2: that of all of those top lines you caddy guys,
- 11:57Speaker 2: he doesn't officially know where he's going to be next
- 11:59Speaker 2: year yet, so he is still he's still trying to
- 12:04Speaker 2: prove that he deserves a good contract at a good
- 12:07Speaker 2: team for twenty twenty seven. And there's nothing like the
- 12:11Speaker 2: potential for being unemployed to unlock some good performwards in
- 12:14Speaker 2: anybody in any walk of life. Anybody that's listening to
- 12:16Speaker 2: this podcast is going, oh yeah, that probably sounds a
- 12:18Speaker 2: bit like me.
- 12:18Speaker 3: But Motor GP writers are no different.
- 12:21Speaker 1: No exactly, And there's something that they've been talking about
- 12:23Speaker 1: a lot, and they keep going, I know, you guys
- 12:25Speaker 1: want to know, and we want the answers to even
- 12:27Speaker 1: like Yesie, he was quite open and just saying, I
- 12:30Speaker 1: don't know yet, and once I know and I can
- 12:32Speaker 1: tell you, I will tell you what.
- 12:33Speaker 2: It can't something that was hilarious in the post race
- 12:36Speaker 2: press last night. I don't know if you were in
- 12:37Speaker 2: there or not. We've not talked about this, but some
- 12:39Speaker 2: one of the journalists asked Alex Marquez and Digia what
- 12:44Speaker 2: it would be like if they were potentially going to
- 12:45Speaker 2: be teammates at Katim next year, and they looked at
- 12:48Speaker 2: each other as if to say, I don't want to
- 12:50Speaker 2: go first?
- 12:51Speaker 3: Do you want to go first?
- 12:52Speaker 2: And then they widen the shot and Marco Berzeki is
- 12:54Speaker 2: just giggling listening to these two trying not to actually
- 12:58Speaker 2: answer the question in the press conference, and everyone knows
- 13:00Speaker 2: what's going on here, but it was just a really
- 13:01Speaker 2: funny piece of theater where Alex and Digia gave each
- 13:05Speaker 2: other that looks like I don't want to say anything,
- 13:07Speaker 2: Do you want to say something? And then Zeki's just
- 13:09Speaker 2: like he's just shit stirring and he just wanted You
- 13:11Speaker 2: just thought it was the funniest thigue of all time. So, yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 2: the sooner we get this rider market stuff out of
- 13:15Speaker 2: the open, the better, But it was it was just
- 13:17Speaker 2: funny because there was a question and then there was
- 13:19Speaker 2: this painful silence afterwards, like I don't want to answer
- 13:21Speaker 2: this first to you, it was very funny.
- 13:24Speaker 1: No, I wasn't there, and I did think it was
- 13:26Speaker 1: quite funny, and it's kind of refreshing as well. It's like,
- 13:29Speaker 1: you know, these guys are human being too, like this
- 13:31Speaker 1: is their job, just like you know, we get to
- 13:34Speaker 1: talk about Moto GP. They're the ones that are actually
- 13:36Speaker 1: doing it for us.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Well.
- 13:37Speaker 2: And there was a bit I liked about Alex Marquez
- 13:39Speaker 2: too after the weekend, because he was asked about you know,
- 13:41Speaker 2: you were so pessimistic before the weekend. You didn't think
- 13:43Speaker 2: you were going to do anything, and and he you know,
- 13:46Speaker 2: normally someone will come up with, oh, well this changed
- 13:48Speaker 2: and that change, and he sort of just shrugged his
- 13:50Speaker 2: shoulders as I'm not one hundred percent sure what happened,
- 13:53Speaker 2: Like he's obviously very glad that it happened, but he
- 13:55Speaker 2: sort of said, oh, there's some sort of magic about
- 13:57Speaker 2: this place. But he was almost as surprised with away
- 14:00Speaker 2: his weekend and panned out as he was elated about it,
- 14:02Speaker 2: because I didn't see this coming either, but I'm very
- 14:04Speaker 2: happy that it's happened to me. So yeah, that human
- 14:07Speaker 2: side sometimes it is nice when it comes out. And
- 14:09Speaker 2: those three in the press conference together. That was a
- 14:11Speaker 2: good combination.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Last night, I thought, no, no, it was. It was
- 14:15Speaker 1: one thing I wanted to talk to you a little
- 14:17Speaker 1: bit though about Matt is It felt like this weekend
- 14:19Speaker 1: there was there was drama, but it was not like
- 14:23Speaker 1: necessarily on track drama or like clashes. It was the
- 14:26Speaker 1: fact that, you know, we had the front disc issue
- 14:29Speaker 1: with Martin during Saturday Sprint where we saw it bright
- 14:32Speaker 1: red like we do in Qatar when it's nighttime. Seeing
- 14:35Speaker 1: that during the day was phenomenal. We had the tear
- 14:39Speaker 1: off issue with Bez going under the rear wheel, just
- 14:42Speaker 1: like you know Mark had it, Philip Islander. It just
- 14:44Speaker 1: seems like there was just like little things like that,
- 14:46Speaker 1: and the penalties this week as well. Yeah, yeah, what
- 14:51Speaker 1: was your take on that? Because for me, I'm kind
- 14:53Speaker 1: of going like, really is this stuff that they should
- 14:57Speaker 1: be like like the teraroff and what not? Come on
- 14:59Speaker 1: you guys, like we know there's like the communication between
- 15:01Speaker 1: them where it's like you don't have why is that
- 15:03Speaker 1: stuff happening?
- 15:04Speaker 3: What it was weird?
- 15:05Speaker 1: What is that?
- 15:06Speaker 2: It was weird in that it felt like they're the
- 15:08Speaker 2: sorts of problems that you get, like really early in
- 15:10Speaker 2: the season whenever one's just a bit out of practice
- 15:12Speaker 2: and you know, it felt like a round one sort
- 15:14Speaker 2: of a thing. There were, you know, and just even
- 15:16Speaker 2: procedural things like you know, Juan Mere riding back to
- 15:18Speaker 2: the pits with half the bike falling off all over
- 15:20Speaker 2: the track and getting long laps for that, and Frankie
- 15:22Speaker 2: Morbidelly riding a smoking bike back to the pits, which
- 15:25Speaker 2: wasn't well received and they had to delay the qualifying
- 15:28Speaker 2: session because of potential oil on the track. And the
- 15:31Speaker 2: most random one of all is that Jack Miller got
- 15:33Speaker 2: a pit lane speeding penalty when he crashed and came
- 15:37Speaker 2: in during the scream when it was raining. The reason
- 15:40Speaker 2: he was speeding in pit lane is that the button
- 15:42Speaker 2: to turn the pit lane speed limit or off he'd
- 15:44Speaker 2: actually broken it when he crashed the bike in the
- 15:46Speaker 2: sprint and couldn't actually activate the pit laid speed limit,
- 15:48Speaker 2: and so that's why he got busted for.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Speeding in the pits.
- 15:50Speaker 2: So it was one of those weekends where we had
- 15:54Speaker 2: maybe a few more penalties than normal still penalties penalties
- 15:57Speaker 2: every week of course, but they were just penalties for
- 15:59Speaker 2: the as things and the tear off thing like I
- 16:03Speaker 2: still I mean, you remember Mark Marquez winning the race
- 16:05Speaker 2: at Philip Island in twenty what you said twenty four
- 16:08Speaker 2: when he dropped to about tenth on the first corner
- 16:10Speaker 2: because he spun the rear wheel up on a tear off.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I do not understand how in twenty twenty six, with
- 16:16Speaker 2: all the technology and the money and everything that goes
- 16:18Speaker 2: into murdor GP, that we're still throwing bits of plastic
- 16:21Speaker 2: on the grid before the race.
- 16:22Speaker 3: What are we doing?
- 16:23Speaker 2: Like, I know you can't exactly stick an astray on
- 16:25Speaker 2: these things and just stick it in there and everyone's
- 16:26Speaker 2: going to be fine. But do we just ban throwing
- 16:29Speaker 2: tear offs on the grid at this point? Because Bes
- 16:31Speaker 2: was crazily unlucky, Like you watch this thing just float
- 16:34Speaker 2: through the air and attached to the front of his bike.
- 16:36Speaker 2: But we can't be having these things spoiling people's races.
- 16:39Speaker 2: It seems a bit silly, doesn't it.
- 16:41Speaker 1: It is a little bit silly, and honestly, that's a
- 16:44Speaker 1: lot of people have been talking about it. Here is
- 16:46Speaker 1: the fact of you know, they'll put a fresh set
- 16:49Speaker 1: on a fresh visor. I don't know if people know this.
- 16:51Speaker 1: They have their helmets and whatnot prepped before each session,
- 16:54Speaker 1: so they'll be a fresh stack of tearoff sitting on
- 16:56Speaker 1: top of their visor. They'll put the helmet on for
- 16:58Speaker 1: the first time. They'll right out of the box, out
- 17:01Speaker 1: of the garage, down pit lane, they take one off
- 17:03Speaker 1: straight away. It's it's yeah, I know, it's it's something
- 17:08Speaker 1: that's been brought up because it's like, this is the
- 17:09Speaker 1: second time it's happened. Marke did it to himself in
- 17:13Speaker 1: Phillip Island, but this time it was another right, I
- 17:18Speaker 1: can't Alex. It was one of the Alex's.
- 17:20Speaker 2: It was Alex bark Yeah yeah there yeah, yeah, And
- 17:23Speaker 2: so it's one of those things I reckon.
- 17:24Speaker 3: They do it out of habit most of the time.
- 17:26Speaker 2: It's almost like, oh yeah, because I always do this
- 17:28Speaker 2: because there's so many of those visa tearoffs on there.
- 17:31Speaker 2: What if you you know, what if there were only
- 17:32Speaker 2: two you only had two visa tearoffs on there, and
- 17:34Speaker 2: you had to be very very s because stupid thing
- 17:37Speaker 2: is you tear one off at the start of the race.
- 17:38Speaker 2: You've got a completely clear visor, give it two laps
- 17:41Speaker 2: and that things got bugs and great and all sort
- 17:43Speaker 2: of stuff all over it. Anyway, So I don't even
- 17:45Speaker 2: know why we're doing it half the time. It's just
- 17:47Speaker 2: out of habit more than anything else.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I must admit, though, there's a lot of bugs here,
- 17:51Speaker 1: which really surprised me, Like in this this area because
- 17:55Speaker 1: literally where the circuit is is not that far from
- 17:57Speaker 1: Hoeth City Center. It's like that's where we're saying, it's
- 18:01Speaker 1: like fifteen minutes, but you're kind of in the side.
- 18:04Speaker 1: There's a lot of trees and whatnot. There's a lot
- 18:06Speaker 1: of bugs. I posted a video on the Fox Motorsports
- 18:08Speaker 1: Socials of Center's bike in Park fer may Oh you
- 18:11Speaker 1: can see the big bugs flatters of the So yeah, yeah,
- 18:16Speaker 1: it makes sense as to why, but no, I completely
- 18:18Speaker 1: get it. It's one of those things that, yeah, everyone's
- 18:21Speaker 1: been talking about. So I'm curious to see if eventually
- 18:23Speaker 1: something comes out about that, along with the whole markers
- 18:28Speaker 1: Pit Lane entry. Yeah, because it seems like this kid
- 18:32Speaker 1: just knows the rule book inside and out and is
- 18:35Speaker 1: just going to find every loophole available. Right.
- 18:38Speaker 2: The thing with Mark Marquez, he knows what the rule
- 18:41Speaker 2: book says, he also knows what the rule book doesn't say,
- 18:44Speaker 2: and it's one of those things that he is the
- 18:47Speaker 2: master knowing where the gray areas are, so it's one
- 18:50Speaker 2: of those things that he'd be, and he would have
- 18:52Speaker 2: been that annoying sort of kid. It's like, we didn't
- 18:54Speaker 2: say I couldn't do this. It's like, well, just because
- 18:56Speaker 2: I didn't say you couldn't do it doesn't mean that
- 18:57Speaker 2: you can. And he's just the master at find the
- 19:00Speaker 2: gray areas with these things. And the thing that was
- 19:02Speaker 2: so interesting about him falling off at the last quarter
- 19:05Speaker 2: in the sprint was that he immediately assessed the situation
- 19:09Speaker 2: and worked out what he was going to do. In
- 19:11Speaker 2: that he didn't ignore the flag marshals. He very patiently
- 19:15Speaker 2: waited for the entire field to go through that corner,
- 19:18Speaker 2: so he wasn't going to block anybody or get in
- 19:20Speaker 2: the way. You could see him looking waiting for the
- 19:23Speaker 2: last bike once you know, he's like waiting for the
- 19:25Speaker 2: pedestrian lights to go green or something. He waited for
- 19:27Speaker 2: the last bike to come through and then rode in
- 19:30Speaker 2: a straight line across the grass and into pit lane.
- 19:33Speaker 2: And because it's Mark exercising the dark arts of knowing
- 19:36Speaker 2: where the you know, the things that aren't said in
- 19:37Speaker 2: the rule book, everyone jumped up and down, and my
- 19:39Speaker 2: original when I saw it at the time, I thought, oh,
- 19:42Speaker 2: I think that's a penalty. I'm not sure you're allowed
- 19:44Speaker 2: to do that. But of course, the area in which
- 19:47Speaker 2: the pit lane starts and you have to enter the
- 19:49Speaker 2: pit lane is between the two sixty kilometer and hour
- 19:52Speaker 2: boards as you crossed the line to enter the pit lane.
- 19:54Speaker 2: And he entered the pit lane between those two boards
- 19:57Speaker 2: just like everybody else would. He just didn't enter it
- 19:59Speaker 2: at the beginning of the road leading into the pit lane.
- 20:02Speaker 1: And so when you actually read by the grass, he did.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah, he just took the shortcut, but he was he
- 20:09Speaker 2: didn't gain an advantage by cutting through the grass. In fact,
- 20:13Speaker 2: he actually penalized himself a heap of time because he
- 20:15Speaker 2: waited for everybody else to go through. And so that's
- 20:18Speaker 2: just a classic case of him knowing, I know that
- 20:21Speaker 2: the pit lane starts when you get to those two
- 20:23Speaker 2: sixty k and hour boards and the white line that
- 20:25Speaker 2: joins them, that's the beginning of pit lane. Incredibly clever
- 20:29Speaker 2: and look at was that he admitted that he was
- 20:31Speaker 2: very lucky that he crashed where he did, because that
- 20:34Speaker 2: gave him the option to do that. If you crash
- 20:36Speaker 2: at term one, You've got to drag a broken bike
- 20:39Speaker 2: around on the wrong tires in the rain, and you're
- 20:41Speaker 2: probably going to lose two minutes and that's the end
- 20:42Speaker 2: of your race pretty much. So there was some luck there.
- 20:46Speaker 2: But I love the I love the quick thinking, and
- 20:49Speaker 2: he's just like, oh, I can do this. And then
- 20:51Speaker 2: just when you did it and let everyone complain about it.
- 20:54Speaker 2: So my initial thought was that, yeah, I don't think
- 20:57Speaker 2: that looks right. But then when you actually read the
- 20:59Speaker 2: rule book with what it says and more importantly what
- 21:01Speaker 2: it does not say, he was a completely right, as
- 21:05Speaker 2: he's been so many times in the past, and because
- 21:07Speaker 2: it's Mark, and because he goes out there in those
- 21:09Speaker 2: conditions and then he's back in the lead within three laps.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Everyone complains about it, but in the end of the
- 21:14Speaker 3: day it was very weird.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It's not something that we're going to see again, and
- 21:18Speaker 2: they'll probably fill in some of that gray in the
- 21:20Speaker 2: rule book so he can't do it again. But the
- 21:23Speaker 2: rules on the day that he did it, he was
- 21:24Speaker 2: completely with these rights to do it, and that's why
- 21:26Speaker 2: he won the race.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I think we know this about Mark. He is always
- 21:31Speaker 1: thinking two three steps ahead, no matter what is happening. Yeah,
- 21:35Speaker 1: And that's kind of the difference that you do see
- 21:37Speaker 1: between some of the writers is the writers who are
- 21:39Speaker 1: very reactive to the moment of what is happening and
- 21:42Speaker 1: the ones who are planning for every sort of scenario,
- 21:46Speaker 1: not saying that's something Mark or to plan for, but
- 21:48Speaker 1: when it started to happen, it's okay, I can do this,
- 21:51Speaker 1: I can do I do this, blah blah blah. It's
- 21:53Speaker 1: like already having the steps ahead. This is the difference
- 21:56Speaker 1: I say. It's almost like a different stay between Mark
- 21:59Speaker 1: and Fabio, like those sorts of people.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, completely, And you know the two that the
- 22:04Speaker 2: two people I always think about in situations like this.
- 22:06Speaker 2: You remember the race at Cocher last year where Marcus
- 22:08Speaker 2: bolted off the grid and everyone was watching him to
- 22:10Speaker 2: see what he would do, and then they all just
- 22:12Speaker 2: started running because Mark started running. It does show you
- 22:15Speaker 2: the who's the puppet master here, who's pulling the strings?
- 22:18Speaker 2: And the other one I remember last year was at
- 22:20Speaker 2: Lemon when it started to rain and the weather was
- 22:23Speaker 2: a bit crazy, and I remember market Puzeki saying after
- 22:26Speaker 2: the race, the one guy who he was watching really
- 22:28Speaker 2: closely was Jack Miller, because Jack is probably the best
- 22:33Speaker 2: on the grid in determining when you can go out
- 22:37Speaker 2: on slicks on a drying track. He'll make that call
- 22:40Speaker 2: better than most people. So when you're having one of
- 22:42Speaker 2: those random sessions where it's been raining but then it's
- 22:46Speaker 2: starting to dry, Jack's usually the pioneer to go out
- 22:49Speaker 2: on slick tires on a slightly wet track, and they're
- 22:51Speaker 2: all watching him. It's like, well, if he thinks it's okay,
- 22:54Speaker 2: then it's probably okay. Because Jack never goes too early
- 22:56Speaker 2: with these sorts of things. It's just funny. In a
- 22:58Speaker 2: sport of professionals and go that have been around all
- 23:00Speaker 2: their lives, there's certain riders that other riders will watch
- 23:04Speaker 2: to see what they're doing in certain situations. But yeah,
- 23:07Speaker 2: Mark is just the master at this sort of stuff
- 23:09Speaker 2: and watching him, I mean, you saw this from close
- 23:12Speaker 2: quarters on the weekend, watching him ride in the wet
- 23:15Speaker 2: when the conditions are changing corner by corner, lap by lap.
- 23:19Speaker 2: His ability to find the limit and stay on it
- 23:21Speaker 2: in that sort of situation where everyone else is just
- 23:23Speaker 2: wide and falling off, and that's where you see the talent, right,
- 23:27Speaker 2: It's just He's got this supernatural ability to corner by corner,
- 23:31Speaker 2: be able to work it out where a lot of
- 23:33Speaker 2: very very good guys just can't do that.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Well, that's kind of what I was thinking was going
- 23:37Speaker 1: to happen during Saturday's sprint, is when the rain conditions
- 23:41Speaker 1: came in. I thought that Jack might have been able
- 23:44Speaker 1: to capitalize on it a little bit more. I think
- 23:46Speaker 1: he just pushed that little bit too hard, and obviously
- 23:48Speaker 1: we saw the crash, we saw the frustration on the
- 23:50Speaker 1: broadcast from him. But this was one of those moments
- 23:53Speaker 1: almost like a La Mon last year, right, same thing,
- 23:56Speaker 1: as like the weather's there, it's going to play into
- 23:58Speaker 1: his hands. Similar sort of people, because we had Jack,
- 24:02Speaker 1: David and Zaka on the front road capitalizing on it too.
- 24:05Speaker 1: So that was a bit of heartbreak because there's another
- 24:07Speaker 1: disappointing weekend for Jack once again. I meant just to
- 24:12Speaker 1: let you know they're already before we jumped off of
- 24:16Speaker 1: the pod, because the boys are out there. The boys,
- 24:18Speaker 1: the motor GP's out there testing right now. As you
- 24:20Speaker 1: guys can hear, Fabiocodaurro has already gone way quicker today
- 24:25Speaker 1: than what he did yesterday. It's insane Yamaha or whatever.
- 24:29Speaker 1: They're working on it. They're changing, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 24:33Speaker 1: but yeah, back to Jack Miller, what was your thoughts
- 24:35Speaker 1: for him this weekend? Because it's tricky, isn't it.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Yeah, Look, it's been super tough, and I think that's
- 24:41Speaker 2: where the frustration and the him punching the ground in
- 24:45Speaker 2: the sprint after he'd come off. He knows that times
- 24:48Speaker 2: are really tough right now. He knows that in a
- 24:50Speaker 2: normal sprint or normal Grand Prix, the chances of any
- 24:53Speaker 2: Yamaha scoring any points at all is going to be really,
- 24:56Speaker 2: really tough. I mean, what are their riders scored? I
- 24:58Speaker 2: think fourteen points between the four of them across the
- 25:01Speaker 2: four round So yeah, Jack hasn't scored a point yet.
- 25:02Speaker 2: But it's not like all the other three guys are
- 25:04Speaker 2: scoring loads and loads of points right now. I think
- 25:06Speaker 2: Kuaaterero was half a minute behind the winner and in
- 25:10Speaker 2: fourteenth in the Grand Prix, and I remember he was
- 25:12Speaker 2: on Poland on the podium at her Reth last year.
- 25:15Speaker 2: So yeah, and look, it's super tough right now. I
- 25:18Speaker 2: think his reaction was a lot more of you need
- 25:20Speaker 2: special circumstances right now to be able to score a point.
- 25:24Speaker 2: If you're on a Yamaha, there's not going to be
- 25:26Speaker 2: too many special circumstances because you only get a certain
- 25:28Speaker 2: amount of wet races and what have you. And that
- 25:30Speaker 2: was one of those ones where when you're looking at
- 25:33Speaker 2: the timing tower and looking at where he was on
- 25:35Speaker 2: the track, I thought he might have finished somewhere between
- 25:38Speaker 2: seventh and ninth in the sprint. And when you haven't
- 25:40Speaker 2: scored a point all year, getting two or three points
- 25:43Speaker 2: even in a crazy sprint like that, it just takes
- 25:45Speaker 2: the pressure off a little bit. And I reckon that's
- 25:47Speaker 2: a lot where the frustration came in, because you know,
- 25:50Speaker 2: the chances in a normal dry weekend for Yamahas to
- 25:53Speaker 2: score points right now is slim to none. And yeah,
- 25:57Speaker 2: just one that went through his fingers.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Unfortunately, I've mentioned a couple of times Zarko, and it's
- 26:02Speaker 1: because I want to talk about him, because I think
- 26:06Speaker 1: same thing. He capitalized on the crazy conditions on Saturday.
- 26:09Speaker 1: He even said that he woke up we heard it
- 26:11Speaker 1: was raining in the night and he was like, yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 1: this is my time once again. I'm back. I'm back, guys.
- 26:16Speaker 1: But I mean phenomenal to have LCR on the front row.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I think he did well, especially in Sunday's race to
- 26:23Speaker 1: hold off because you could see the difference in what
- 26:26Speaker 1: the Hondas were able to do compared to a brilliant
- 26:29Speaker 1: obviously Duke Caddy in that aspect, even though they were
- 26:32Speaker 1: the strongest spike. But he was there and he was
- 26:35Speaker 1: trying the whole bron Frie So I mean, kudos to
- 26:39Speaker 1: Zako this weekend. I think he made the most of
- 26:41Speaker 1: the conditions and for me, he was one of the
- 26:43Speaker 1: people I was really excited to see to be able
- 26:46Speaker 1: to achieve the results that he did this weekend.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Yeah, completely.
- 26:49Speaker 2: I mean the fact that he had those two trackhouts
- 26:51Speaker 2: Aprilias behind him until really the last couple of laps
- 26:53Speaker 2: of the race, and I agree were just doing as usual.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Oh I've got ten types more group than everybody else
- 26:58Speaker 2: in the last five laps and coming forwards at the
- 26:59Speaker 2: end of the race. But for Zarko to be in
- 27:01Speaker 2: a position where he had those two behind him for
- 27:03Speaker 2: a fair while, huge kudos because none of the other
- 27:06Speaker 2: Hondas were particularly anywhere and Zarko is one of those
- 27:09Speaker 2: guys that, yeah, when a door does crack open like that,
- 27:12Speaker 2: for a bit of an unusual result. I mean, we
- 27:15Speaker 2: saw it last year with Lamon, which is still one
- 27:17Speaker 2: of the one of the great nights of watching Moto GP.
- 27:20Speaker 2: That was just phenomenal that night watching that. But yeah, yeah, look,
- 27:24Speaker 2: no great surprise with him. He's very good in those
- 27:26Speaker 2: sorts of conditions. But he's also a guy that doesn't
- 27:28Speaker 2: let an opportunity, let that go. And yeah, I mean
- 27:31Speaker 2: we're off to Lamon next and if anyone's going to
- 27:33Speaker 2: be doing a rain dance after what happened last year,
- 27:35Speaker 2: I think it's him.
- 27:37Speaker 1: I definitely I think so too. Somoto GP went wild, crazy, wonderful,
- 27:42Speaker 1: full of emotion, full of everything, and yeah, great tick
- 27:46Speaker 1: the box. We didn't know what was going to happen
- 27:48Speaker 1: this weekend and we got the answers. But the reason
- 27:52Speaker 1: that we're so excited, the reason that over the moon
- 27:55Speaker 1: and we're so happy, we have to talk about it.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Sena age years. He is back on the back to
- 28:00Speaker 1: back wins. First person to do that since Ramy and
- 28:03Speaker 1: two thousand and twenty twenty one.
- 28:05Speaker 2: First Doz you to do it? Yeah, first Ozz you
- 28:07Speaker 2: to do it in five years? And what's interesting to
- 28:09Speaker 2: me with this is that and because he he's big
- 28:13Speaker 2: on details. I wrote about this for Fox Sports today
- 28:15Speaker 2: Monday in Australia. Every time he's won a race in
- 28:19Speaker 2: the past twelve months and he's now won four of them,
- 28:22Speaker 2: the race after he's won a race previously, he's not
- 28:25Speaker 2: gone very well and he's very aware of that. Like
- 28:28Speaker 2: he think won that crazy last lap at Silverston last year,
- 28:31Speaker 2: didn't do it, was okay in Aragon the next round,
- 28:34Speaker 2: but certainly qualified really poorly. Philip Island last year was
- 28:37Speaker 2: as dominant of a victory as we've seen in Moto
- 28:39Speaker 2: iiO in the history of that category, and then was
- 28:42Speaker 2: nowhere in Malaysia the next round. So this is one
- 28:45Speaker 2: of those ones. Yes, he won at Cota. You know,
- 28:48Speaker 2: we talked about it. He was on Motor Racing three
- 28:50Speaker 2: sixty last week talking about it. What was he going
- 28:54Speaker 2: to do for an encore this time because that's the
- 28:56Speaker 2: next step of the evolution for him, right And what
- 28:59Speaker 2: was so impressed for me? Well, there were a couple
- 29:01Speaker 2: of things with him this weekend. You would have seen
- 29:03Speaker 2: this on Friday, he was just head and shoulders faster
- 29:06Speaker 2: than everybody else. He broke the motor two lap record
- 29:08Speaker 2: at he wrath. His long run pace was awesome and
- 29:12Speaker 2: he's like, all right, this looks like a Grand Prix
- 29:14Speaker 2: that he can realistically win. Bit of a surprise that
- 29:17Speaker 2: he qualified off the front row but didn't let it
- 29:19Speaker 2: deter him. He was up the front from the very
- 29:21Speaker 2: beginning in the race. But watching that race, it was
- 29:25Speaker 2: really one of those. It was Sena, Manu Gonzalez and
- 29:29Speaker 2: the man with the best accent in the motor GP
- 29:31Speaker 2: pad Colic Vaya had broken away in a three rider
- 29:34Speaker 2: group at the front and you could see that Senna
- 29:37Speaker 2: was sort of itchy to get to the front and
- 29:38Speaker 2: set his pace, and he got there, I think lap
- 29:41Speaker 2: five or so, it's like, all right, he's going to
- 29:43Speaker 2: go now, and he couldn't break the two of them.
- 29:46Speaker 2: And it's one of those things where this is the
- 29:48Speaker 2: maturity of cener ageus now in that there's plan A
- 29:51Speaker 2: and Plan A didn't necessarily work and he wasn't where
- 29:54Speaker 2: he needed to be, so he did the very very
- 29:56Speaker 2: clever thing is I'm just going to sit here and
- 29:57Speaker 2: buy my time a little bit, and I'm going to
- 30:00Speaker 2: gave some tire and I'm going to watch what the
- 30:01Speaker 2: others are going to do and then I'm going to
- 30:04Speaker 2: go again. He didn't get flustered because Plan A didn't
- 30:07Speaker 2: work and he wasn't able to show his pace. And
- 30:10Speaker 2: the really impressive thing for me once he got to
- 30:13Speaker 2: the front, I think there were seven laps to go.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Those last seven laps, I think the time difference between
- 30:18Speaker 2: his best and his worst lap was less than three
- 30:20Speaker 2: tenths of a second. And that's with fading tires and
- 30:23Speaker 2: you've got pressure behind you, you've got a Spanish rider
- 30:25Speaker 2: behind you, it's your teammate were in Spain. How cool
- 30:29Speaker 2: he was and how composed he was. If you know,
- 30:32Speaker 2: he made a couple of minimal, minimal mistakes that were
- 30:36Speaker 2: almost imperceptible. I loved how composed he was. And this
- 30:41Speaker 2: is all part of the evolution right in that I
- 30:42Speaker 2: don't think anyone questions that he doesn't have the speed.
- 30:46Speaker 2: He clearly has the speed. But being able to have
- 30:49Speaker 2: a good result one round after he'd had a good
- 30:51Speaker 2: result is something he had not done before. So that's
- 30:54Speaker 2: another box that he's ticked. And man, the timing of this,
- 30:58Speaker 2: like to win back to back races, to be the
- 30:59Speaker 2: first Australian to do it in five years, to be
- 31:02Speaker 2: second in the Moto two Championship after not scoring in
- 31:05Speaker 2: the first two rounds, like he's putting himself in a really,
- 31:08Speaker 2: really good position. And you just look at the role
- 31:11Speaker 2: call of Moto two champions over the years since that
- 31:13Speaker 2: category started in twenty ten, every single one of them's
- 31:16Speaker 2: ended up in Motor GP. And some of them, some
- 31:18Speaker 2: of them have had short careers like Remy Gardner. Some
- 31:21Speaker 2: of them have had really really long and successful careers,
- 31:23Speaker 2: but they've all got there. And to my mind, this
- 31:26Speaker 2: is one of those things now where you know, we
- 31:28Speaker 2: were joking offline on Sunday, and I'm not speaking out
- 31:32Speaker 2: of school here, where I said, do we need to
- 31:34Speaker 2: start getting the promotional posters ready for Adelaide with center
- 31:36Speaker 2: AG's face on it, because the longer this goes and
- 31:40Speaker 2: the longer the right at market remains pretty stalled out.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Right now, we know that they've been talking to a
- 31:47Speaker 2: couple of different manufacturers and all he can do right
- 31:50Speaker 2: now is keep doing what he is doing. He's making
- 31:53Speaker 2: a huge impression. There's clearly evolution there. I know you
- 31:58Speaker 2: spoke to him after the race last night. The thing
- 31:59Speaker 2: that I loved about the conversation that you have with
- 32:01Speaker 2: in which you can you can see on Fox sports
- 32:03Speaker 2: dot com dot au is. He was clearly buzzing that
- 32:06Speaker 2: he won. But there's this great combination right now. He's
- 32:10Speaker 2: very confident, but he's very calm at the same time
- 32:12Speaker 2: in that nothing that he's doing is really surprising right now.
- 32:16Speaker 2: And I just loved how like control he expects of
- 32:19Speaker 2: this of himself now, doesn't he.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Yeah, no, exactly, So it's I'll take it, take everyone back.
- 32:26Speaker 1: So Friday, running into him having a catch up, I
- 32:30Speaker 1: was just asking, like, how is it, and he's like, yeah, no,
- 32:32Speaker 1: I feel really good, you know, because we know he
- 32:34Speaker 1: was fastest in them in the morning's session. Everything like that.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Sunday comes, like you said, qualifying, he's on the second
- 32:40Speaker 1: row and i'ment, oh, it's really interesting. And I ran
- 32:43Speaker 1: into his dad, Johnno, and I said, what's happening like?
- 32:46Speaker 1: Because we know here this sort of track, the cooler
- 32:49Speaker 1: the conditions are, the more grippy of the circi is.
- 32:52Speaker 1: That's why in Moto three Moto two they test here
- 32:54Speaker 1: in the winter because kind of the understanding is is
- 32:57Speaker 1: if you'll get your bike set up well here, Okay
- 33:01Speaker 1: doesn't have the top speed but because it's so kind
- 33:04Speaker 1: of fast flowing, technical, heartbreaking. Like if you can get
- 33:06Speaker 1: everything set up here in those tricky conditions where it's grippy,
- 33:10Speaker 1: then for the rest of the year and all the
- 33:12Speaker 1: other tracks you go to, you're going to have like
- 33:13Speaker 1: a good understanding. Ye So Johnnah goes, yeah, no, like
- 33:17Speaker 1: he's got everything's there. His biggest trouble was the pirellis
- 33:21Speaker 1: weren't holding heat, and because there's so many right handers
- 33:23Speaker 1: and they go into the left, that's where he was weak.
- 33:25Speaker 1: So hence why the qualifying didn't work to how it was.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Then we saw Sunday were warmer temperatures yea, And actually
- 33:35Speaker 1: our Olbos called me and I said, you know what
- 33:37Speaker 1: I reckon? Center's on here because what you mean? I said,
- 33:40Speaker 1: today's so much warmer than yesterday. And I know one
- 33:43Speaker 1: said that he struggled with heat and those tires. I
- 33:46Speaker 1: think he's got his bike dialed in. That's fine. We
- 33:49Speaker 1: know this track because he does a lot of track
- 33:51Speaker 1: days here as well. I think having that condition is
- 33:54Speaker 1: going to play to his advantage. And Troopy told like,
- 33:58Speaker 1: that's exactly what happened. But yeah, chatting to him after
- 34:01Speaker 1: in the motor GP broadcast is set and you guys
- 34:04Speaker 1: can yet, like Matt said, you can read Math's article,
- 34:06Speaker 1: you can watch some of the clips. I'll post them
- 34:08Speaker 1: on the socials at Fox Motorsport. And he said to me,
- 34:12Speaker 1: and I thought this was really interesting. He said, the
- 34:16Speaker 1: team are starting to understand what I'm communicating and I thought, Ah,
- 34:21Speaker 1: that's it now, Now what his feedback is on track
- 34:25Speaker 1: on the bike, They're able to now make those changes
- 34:28Speaker 1: and that's that winning formula. That's that harmony that they
- 34:31Speaker 1: needed to be able to blend everything together. I think
- 34:35Speaker 1: the start of the year, we know that there was
- 34:37Speaker 1: you know, the death and the team and there was
- 34:38Speaker 1: a lot of emotional stuff going on there with regards
- 34:42Speaker 1: to that, so totally fair. Now they're working together. He's
- 34:46Speaker 1: got the new head mechanic, he's got that connection and
- 34:50Speaker 1: I think him also as a writer, he's growing and progressing.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Now he can communicate better, he can give that better feedback.
- 34:58Speaker 1: That creates that harmony, and this is the results that
- 35:02Speaker 1: we're seeing. That's what they need and that's what you
- 35:04Speaker 1: need to win championships here well.
- 35:06Speaker 2: And this is the thing we love about this result
- 35:07Speaker 2: in that when he's won races in the past, we're like,
- 35:10Speaker 2: oh wow, that's amazing because it was a bit of
- 35:12Speaker 2: an outlier, where now it's like he expects to do well.
- 35:15Speaker 2: We expect him to do well because we've seen it.
- 35:17Speaker 2: There's proof of context concept right now, so it feels sustainable.
- 35:21Speaker 2: The thing I was going to mention now right so
- 35:23Speaker 2: he's won four Moto two races. You almost couldn't win
- 35:27Speaker 2: four races. More differently, had that ridiculous last corner at
- 35:30Speaker 2: Silvestone where he played clever and got through the other
- 35:32Speaker 2: guys in that full rider fight, just destroyed everybody at
- 35:35Speaker 2: Phillip Island, So that becomes a race of concentration more
- 35:38Speaker 2: than anything else because it was him versus himself for
- 35:41Speaker 2: most of that race, Like could he keep the pace up?
- 35:43Speaker 2: You look at what happened at Kota where short race
- 35:47Speaker 2: ten laps that have been red flagged, he had Celestinovieti
- 35:49Speaker 2: all over him. That was a real sense of holding
- 35:52Speaker 2: your nerve. The Herreth win was the type of win
- 35:55Speaker 2: he hadn't had yet in that it was very tactical
- 35:58Speaker 2: and that he knew that he had the pace. When
- 36:00Speaker 2: do I deploy it? And what's my plan? B if
- 36:03Speaker 2: plan A doesn't work like this is that sort of
- 36:05Speaker 2: mature race win that he hadn't had yet in the
- 36:09Speaker 2: World Championship. So you look at those four wins, you
- 36:11Speaker 2: couldn't have four victories that have been taken more differently
- 36:13Speaker 2: than that. There's not too many other ways you can
- 36:16Speaker 2: win races in the World Championship. He's done all of
- 36:19Speaker 2: them pretty much now to get to four race wins.
- 36:21Speaker 2: But the fact that he was able to back up
- 36:23Speaker 2: a win with another really really strong result one round later,
- 36:27Speaker 2: it certainly bodes well for the rest of this season.
- 36:30Speaker 3: And if you're an.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Australian fan, or you're someone that's followed Center the whole
- 36:33Speaker 2: way through, or you just like seeing a young Australian
- 36:35Speaker 2: maker splash on a World Motorsport.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Stage, this feels pretty real now.
- 36:40Speaker 2: And I'd almost go as far as saying that this
- 36:44Speaker 2: he feels more to me like a motor GP writer
- 36:46Speaker 2: than I think we've ever considered him at this point.
- 36:49Speaker 2: The only question now is not if he makes it,
- 36:51Speaker 2: it's when he makes it. Because I think he's going
- 36:52Speaker 2: to get there. The question for me is what year
- 36:55Speaker 2: is that going to happen? And with the way the
- 36:58Speaker 2: rider market's still in a bit of a mess right now,
- 37:00Speaker 2: and there's people that are helping and hurting their cause
- 37:03Speaker 2: in equal measure week by week while this drags on,
- 37:05Speaker 2: He's putting himself in a great position.
- 37:08Speaker 1: I mean one hundred percent, and ultimately West we're at
- 37:12Speaker 1: a really lucky position having Jack Emoto GP Center, Emoto
- 37:15Speaker 1: two and Joel and Moto three. We've got Aussie across
- 37:17Speaker 1: all all the classes. If Santa does step up for us,
- 37:22Speaker 1: god can, Let's let's have Jack and Senai Emoto GP.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Let's have two Ossies there because it's been a long time.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I think it was the last. Like Chris and Casey back.
- 37:29Speaker 2: In the day, Remy had that one season. Remember so
- 37:32Speaker 2: Remy was there with Jack in twenty two and he
- 37:34Speaker 2: had that one season with the KTM. But it was
- 37:36Speaker 2: interesting listening to Sena speak last week, where you know
- 37:40Speaker 2: a lot of people won't know that behind the scenes,
- 37:42Speaker 2: Jack has been incredibly supportive of being able to pass
- 37:47Speaker 2: on the wisdom that comes with big a twelve year
- 37:49Speaker 2: Moto GP vet like Jack is these days. You know, Jack,
- 37:51Speaker 2: at the end of the day is a guy who
- 37:53Speaker 2: wants to see more Australian succeed on the on the
- 37:55Speaker 2: global stage. He's had a good run out it himself.
- 37:57Speaker 2: He's always been pretty supportive of the Australian guy's coming sure,
- 38:00Speaker 2: whether it's Joel or Senna or Remy or anyone that's
- 38:02Speaker 2: come through really and it was interesting Senna said like
- 38:05Speaker 2: he would love to be on the grid with Jack
- 38:07Speaker 2: at the same time. And of course the other thing
- 38:09Speaker 2: we've got to think about for twenty twenty seven is Adelaide.
- 38:11Speaker 2: It's going to be probably the last round of the season.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Can you imagine having too as he's on the grid
- 38:16Speaker 2: in Adelaide for the very first race there. That would
- 38:18Speaker 2: be massive, wouldn't it.
- 38:20Speaker 1: It's funny as I saw a social media post come
- 38:23Speaker 1: out from Moto GP's official account and it was like
- 38:26Speaker 1: where the writers are from. They did like a little
- 38:28Speaker 1: graph and it was like, you know, one South African,
- 38:30Speaker 1: one Australian, one Japanese and then it was like the
- 38:33Speaker 1: Spanish and the Italians. So he got the rest of it.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, if we can have Senna and Jack
- 38:38Speaker 1: in there, cool, we've grouped up from two. It's like
- 38:41Speaker 1: this is what we need. Well yeah, But then there's
- 38:43Speaker 1: the other side of the things where we've got Joel
- 38:46Speaker 1: in Moto three, and I want to touch on this
- 38:48Speaker 1: a little bit because we know this year he's moved
- 38:51Speaker 1: into a new manufacturer and a new team. He's trying
- 38:54Speaker 1: to bring them up. We've spoken to him. You guys
- 38:57Speaker 1: can go and check out the interviews if you haven't yet.
- 38:59Speaker 1: He wants to get into Moto two. He's been in
- 39:02Speaker 1: Moto three for so long now, but he is trying
- 39:05Speaker 1: to get there, and he's trying to write a new manufacturer,
- 39:08Speaker 1: bring up a team, lift them up. He's putting in
- 39:11Speaker 1: the work. Okay, we're four rounds in, but the results
- 39:15Speaker 1: just aren't there. And I'm starting to now go, what's
- 39:18Speaker 1: it going to take for Joel to be able to
- 39:20Speaker 1: do that, to bring the results to then have that
- 39:22Speaker 1: door open so we can get that Moto two ride
- 39:25Speaker 1: that he wants so bad.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Yeah, he's another guy who I reckon. You know, you
- 39:30Speaker 2: mentioned new team, new manufacturer, a new situation, and yeah,
- 39:33Speaker 2: you don't want to be stuck in a category for
- 39:35Speaker 2: too long.
- 39:35Speaker 3: You know.
- 39:36Speaker 2: You see guys that end up being like Moto two
- 39:38Speaker 2: lifers as well, they never quite get through to Motor GP.
- 39:40Speaker 3: And Joel's been in Moto three.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Now for quite a while, he's a guy who needs
- 39:44Speaker 2: to have that one big result, like a podium that
- 39:48Speaker 2: no one saw coming, or just have a really strong
- 39:50Speaker 2: result when perhaps we don't expect it, and that's one
- 39:53Speaker 2: of those things he needs to be an opportunist this year,
- 39:55Speaker 2: I think, because on pure pace alone in a normal condition,
- 40:00Speaker 2: normal dry weather race, like, certainly right now, he's not
- 40:02Speaker 2: going to be fighting towards the front. He starts races
- 40:05Speaker 2: quite well, as we know, but he's been a little
- 40:07Speaker 2: bit of an afterthought so far this year. I don't
- 40:09Speaker 2: think he's writing any worse than any normal years. I
- 40:10Speaker 2: think he's writing pretty high standard right now, but he
- 40:14Speaker 2: doesn't really have the tools to fight with. So he's
- 40:16Speaker 2: in a bit of a situation where, yeah, maybe he
- 40:18Speaker 2: does need that one outlier result that we don't see
- 40:20Speaker 2: coming and you look up and go, wow, he's like
- 40:22Speaker 2: just missed the podium or he's qualified on the front
- 40:24Speaker 2: row or something, just to remind people who he is
- 40:27Speaker 2: and that the.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Quality that he's there.
- 40:28Speaker 2: But you're right in that you don't want to get
- 40:32Speaker 2: stuck to you, And it kind of feels like this
- 40:34Speaker 2: year is that he's had some success in Motor three obviously,
- 40:37Speaker 2: but this feels like the year that it needs to
- 40:41Speaker 2: happen if he's going to take that next step, because
- 40:43Speaker 2: Moto two doesn't wait for you forever, and it feels
- 40:47Speaker 2: that for his career to kick on, this ideally is
- 40:50Speaker 2: his last year of Motor three.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, it's unfortunate. I mean I feel like Australia
- 40:58Speaker 1: as a country, we do get behind our right and
- 41:00Speaker 1: we do support them and that's something that we try
- 41:02Speaker 1: and do here at Fox Sports as well as to
- 41:04Speaker 1: promote our boys because we're so proud of everything that
- 41:07Speaker 1: we're doing. I just want to touch on. Okay, so
- 41:09Speaker 1: broto GP. We have broto GP Moto two, proto three,
- 41:12Speaker 1: but we also have the Rebel Rookies Cup and they've
- 41:15Speaker 1: got the Harley Davidson Cup Challenger. I can't remember what
- 41:19Speaker 1: it's called right now, but we have a we have
- 41:21Speaker 1: an assie in every category across these classes, which is
- 41:25Speaker 1: phenomenal because this week.
- 41:26Speaker 2: When you saw you saw the baggers this weekend, did you.
- 41:29Speaker 1: No Baggers were in Coder So we had Archie McDonald there. Yeah,
- 41:34Speaker 1: and this weekme the Rebel Rookies Cart. This was their
- 41:36Speaker 1: first round it's their twentieth season, which is phenomenal. It's crazy,
- 41:41Speaker 1: but there's Archie Smith Schmidt there, so we've got yeah,
- 41:44Speaker 1: Archie McDonald, Archie Smith, Joel in Moto three Center and
- 41:48Speaker 1: Moto two, Jack Miller in Moroto GP. I feel like
- 41:51Speaker 1: Ozsie motorsport is coming back. Ossie races in the top
- 41:55Speaker 1: tiers classes of motorsport and motorcycle racing is coming back.
- 41:58Speaker 1: It's something to be proud of.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Well, it's just so, you know, to have Australian representation
- 42:02Speaker 2: in every single class. You know, I think some people
- 42:05Speaker 2: may be underestimate just how difficult that is, Like it's
- 42:07Speaker 2: difficult to even get there a litt alone to stay there,
- 42:10Speaker 2: and when you dig into the backstories of you know,
- 42:13Speaker 2: Senna's got an interesting backstory, The Jack Miller backstory we
- 42:16Speaker 2: were a bit more familiar with. But it's so unlikely
- 42:18Speaker 2: that it even got there in the first place. It's
- 42:20Speaker 2: so difficult for Australians to get to the World Championship
- 42:22Speaker 2: and stay there. So that's why we like to celebrate
- 42:25Speaker 2: the successes that these guys have because they do it
- 42:28Speaker 2: arguably tougher than anyone to even get there in the
- 42:30Speaker 2: first place. I think we're all aware down here and
- 42:32Speaker 2: obviously you understanding how this all works. Just to be
- 42:35Speaker 2: able to get to the World Championship and maybe you know,
- 42:38Speaker 2: maybe your more general sort of sporting audience, we need
- 42:41Speaker 2: to maybe do a little bit better job of just
- 42:43Speaker 2: educating people. Ask to just how tough it is.
- 42:46Speaker 1: No exactly, and that's that's what we're trying to do.
- 42:48Speaker 1: We're just trying to promote proto GP in Australia and
- 42:50Speaker 1: get more fans involved. And I think Adelaide we'll do
- 42:53Speaker 1: that the street circuit. I know it's controversial, but I
- 42:56Speaker 1: think having that then to be from a lot of
- 42:58Speaker 1: the people here inside the paddock come up and ask
- 43:00Speaker 1: me what's Adelaide like as the city, what's it like?
- 43:03Speaker 1: And I say to them, I've been there for the
- 43:04Speaker 1: Supercars Grand Final. It's a blast pub on the corner
- 43:09Speaker 1: near the park. Keep tell anyone you need to go
- 43:12Speaker 1: to that pub on the corner after the race, like
- 43:14Speaker 1: that's the place to go. But it's phenomenal being here.
- 43:18Speaker 1: European Grand Prize is nothing like if you've been a
- 43:23Speaker 1: Philip Island. It's completely different here.
- 43:25Speaker 3: I need to ask you a question.
- 43:26Speaker 2: I need to ask you a question at the fans
- 43:28Speaker 2: we always see every year where they have the vision
- 43:31Speaker 2: of everyone arriving on the hill before the sun comes
- 43:34Speaker 2: up on race day.
- 43:35Speaker 3: They're all there at six am or what have you.
- 43:37Speaker 2: What time did you get to the circuit on race
- 43:39Speaker 2: day and how long did it take you to get there?
- 43:41Speaker 2: And was the atmosphere just absolutely buzzing at some ridiculous
- 43:45Speaker 2: o'clock in the morning.
- 43:46Speaker 1: One percent. So we left our house at six fifteen.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Took us fifteen minutes to get hair because we were
- 43:52Speaker 1: so early. But in Queensland you can lane filter and
- 43:57Speaker 1: in Harrath you can clearly lane filter on your bike
- 44:00Speaker 1: as well. Because this was just bikes coming in and out.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Everyone was telling me you need to just try and
- 44:06Speaker 1: get out to the car park to see the amount
- 44:08Speaker 1: of bikes here. It's insane. But the sun doesn't come
- 44:11Speaker 1: up here till like seven point thirty, like a little
- 44:14Speaker 1: bit later. And so from the media center where I
- 44:17Speaker 1: am right now, literally if I was to walk out
- 44:19Speaker 1: the door just behind there, you can see that iconic
- 44:22Speaker 1: hill where it lit up. There's neon signs there that
- 44:25Speaker 1: says this is harass yeah, and you could see just
- 44:29Speaker 1: the crowd rolling in. Now there's this story from the
- 44:32Speaker 1: previous circuit commentator who is a singer, a flamenco, something
- 44:37Speaker 1: to do with this area and that type of thing.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Apparently he used to for years play this iconic song
- 44:45Speaker 1: from Pink Floyd. I can't remember the title of it now,
- 44:48Speaker 1: but it's this really eerie like intro and he used
- 44:51Speaker 1: to play it as the crowd would come in over
- 44:54Speaker 1: the hill. They tortures. Now they got the torches on
- 44:57Speaker 1: their phones and you would have seen that footage on
- 44:59Speaker 1: Motor Socials where they're playing it. We were still on
- 45:03Speaker 1: the balcony here with a bunch of photographers, videographers, social
- 45:06Speaker 1: media people from the paddy just watching it and it
- 45:10Speaker 1: was incredible scenes the passion here. There's something like two
- 45:14Speaker 1: hundred and forty nine thousand fans.
- 45:16Speaker 3: For the weekend at NAZA.
- 45:19Speaker 1: It's phenomenal. Like they love Loto GP here, they love
- 45:24Speaker 1: the sport and if we can bring that energy, we
- 45:27Speaker 1: can bring those vibes todue like a racing in Australia.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Proto GPS going to kick off and I can't wait.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I'm so here for it.
- 45:35Speaker 2: There's two things in every Motor GP calendar that they're
- 45:38Speaker 2: not old because I am and I've seen all these
- 45:40Speaker 2: things a million times. But the shot of the hillside
- 45:43Speaker 2: at Herreth on race morning is one of those things
- 45:44Speaker 2: that makes me feel super happy that I work in
- 45:46Speaker 2: this sport and the other one for me and we're
- 45:48Speaker 2: going to see it in two weeks time. Is the
- 45:50Speaker 2: French national anthem on the Main Strait before the race
- 45:54Speaker 2: at Lamar, where they just kill the music and the
- 45:57Speaker 2: crowd sings it and you've got a couple one hundred
- 45:59Speaker 2: thous and very very patriotic French people. It's probably raining
- 46:02Speaker 2: and it's probably cold, and they full throatedly seeing that
- 46:06Speaker 2: thing like it's never been sung before and it's complete,
- 46:09Speaker 2: like raising the hero in your arms. It's awesome to hear.
- 46:13Speaker 2: I remember to talking to your brother Chris about this
- 46:15Speaker 2: back in the day and he said, like it was
- 46:17Speaker 2: everyone that went there for that race, like, oh yeah,
- 46:19Speaker 2: this is just a highlight watching this crowd get into
- 46:21Speaker 2: this national anthem, like this is like one of the
- 46:23Speaker 2: signature things of that particular race. So yeah, in two
- 46:26Speaker 2: weeks time we get another great iconic motor GP crowd,
- 46:29Speaker 2: don't we It's.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Funny that you mentioned that I thought, I'll bring this up.
- 46:33Speaker 1: So Thursday, are driving in. I've never been to harath before,
- 46:36Speaker 1: and there's actually a lot of MotoGP tracks I'd never
- 46:38Speaker 1: been to because when Chris was racing, I was a
- 46:40Speaker 1: teenager and long story shots. So I'm driving into the
- 46:44Speaker 1: track and he goes to me. He goes, there's not
- 46:46Speaker 1: many tracks I remember outside of actually riding them, because
- 46:52Speaker 1: if anyone knows races or knows athletes, they are just
- 46:55Speaker 1: like a horse with the things on. They are just
- 46:57Speaker 1: so good just on what they're doing. Yeah, exactly, he
- 47:00Speaker 1: goes three tracks. I remember Areth the crowd phenomenal Lemon,
- 47:06Speaker 1: like you said, because they're so passionate, and he's like, Magello,
- 47:09Speaker 1: you're in the Tuscan Hills like there's nothing like it.
- 47:11Speaker 1: And obviously Philip Island the home Grand Prix. But he goes,
- 47:14Speaker 1: he's like that, you just wait, wait for Sunday, and yeah,
- 47:18Speaker 1: I don't even think that the TV would have done
- 47:20Speaker 1: it justice. It's it's so cool. So come on, Australia,
- 47:23Speaker 1: we need to bring that to Phillip Island this year,
- 47:25Speaker 1: and then we need to bring that to Adelaide next year.
- 47:27Speaker 3: We sure do.
- 47:28Speaker 2: I remember I remember him telling me once the first
- 47:30Speaker 2: year that he was at Magello in motor GP he
- 47:32Speaker 2: made the great mistake of parking his motor home too
- 47:34Speaker 2: close to Valentino's and so you got much sleep that weekend.
- 47:38Speaker 2: He was a bit of a bit of a rookie
- 47:39Speaker 2: mistake by Chris, and I think he learned his lesson
- 47:41Speaker 2: the next year. Park it is slightly quiet a spot, yeah.
- 47:45Speaker 1: I mean, luckily Valentino's not here anymore for that, Yeah, exactly,
- 47:48Speaker 1: same thing probably happens to Marx as well. But Matt,
- 47:51Speaker 1: I feel like we've pretty much wrapped up the chaotic
- 47:54Speaker 1: weekend that was the Spanish Grand Prix here in harath Like.
- 47:57Speaker 3: It was a big one, that's for sure.
- 48:00Speaker 1: It was a big one. It was chaos, and I
- 48:02Speaker 1: think Lamon is going to be just as much. Hopefully
- 48:04Speaker 1: the weather holds out. Hopefully the weather doesn't hold out
- 48:06Speaker 1: and we can have another flagged flag sprint or even
- 48:09Speaker 1: a Grand frie. But big thank you once again to
