- 0:37Speaker 1: Whistle me got your glove on? Always dude, IM always emo,
- 0:41Speaker 1: baby go Cats. And it's not that we're masks. We
- 0:45Speaker 1: are Kansas State fans. I am now, but that's a
- 0:47Speaker 1: glove that you stole from Kansas State, right. I didn't
- 0:51Speaker 1: necessarily steal it. I just didn't ask if I could
- 0:53Speaker 1: take it. What if your kid said that, then you're
- 0:56Speaker 1: stealing exactly. Yeah, you got me. Later on this show,
- 0:59Speaker 1: we'll talk to head football coach Sunny Dikes from TCU.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Talked about more than just football. It's very fortunate that
- 1:05Speaker 1: one of the guys that was with us before Coach
- 1:06Speaker 1: Ice came in was like, he's a big music guy. Know,
- 1:08Speaker 1: was the guy from training And I was like, let's
- 1:10Speaker 1: just start with that and see where that takes this.
- 1:11Speaker 1: That was awesome and then it turned us into a
- 1:12Speaker 1: whole music conversation. So all that coming up with Coach
- 1:16Speaker 1: Sunny Dykes. But now this is like the last episode
- 1:20Speaker 1: before Thanksgiving.
- 1:21Speaker 3: I know why you said yeah, because man, it's the
- 1:24Speaker 3: last episode before Thanksgiving.
- 1:27Speaker 1: It's just a sad thing.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Nobody's dying, I know, I think. So, yeah, are we
- 1:31Speaker 3: all spending Thanksgiving together? We should do a Whistles family dinner.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Well, now you tell us right, let's go to the
- 1:39Speaker 1: tittle tattle the tittle tattle. Let's get.
- 1:50Speaker 4: With rivalry week here outside of Michigan and Ohio State.
- 1:53Speaker 4: What is one game you'd like to attend?
- 1:55Speaker 1: I take all personal close bias out right. Yes, everybody's
- 1:59Speaker 1: waiting so much for our It's some on Missouri. That's
- 2:00Speaker 1: the game everybody waits for when it comes to right,
- 2:02Speaker 1: can't wait. That's the one. But I can't do Texas
- 2:07Speaker 1: ou because it's not Rivalry Week. They do that earlier.
- 2:11Speaker 1: So I probably. I mean Alabama Auburn is really good.
- 2:13Speaker 1: The egg Bowl is also good even if the teams
- 2:15Speaker 1: aren't that good. Missip missip State. That game's like always,
- 2:21Speaker 1: if the game's not good, they are still fights. That's
- 2:24Speaker 1: how you know a rivalry game is good. People are
- 2:26Speaker 1: fighting because it matters people. Now, then I have a
- 2:31Speaker 1: big sec bias obviously because of where I live the
- 2:34Speaker 1: team that I follow. So I'm gonna go Alabama Auburn
- 2:40Speaker 1: egg Bowl, Ole miss Mississippi State, I mean Florida Florida
- 2:47Speaker 1: State is interesting a bit because you know, they got
- 2:49Speaker 1: all those recruits there looking at both teams most likely,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and it's like whomever wins that game gets to be
- 2:54Speaker 1: like we told you yeah, but this year the Florida
- 2:57Speaker 1: State game without a quarterback. CLEMBS in South Carolina will
- 3:02Speaker 1: be interesting this year because if South Carolina wins, I'll
- 3:04Speaker 1: go to a ball game. And then what happened last year?
- 3:06Speaker 1: They say that South Carolina had the signs from Michigan
- 3:08Speaker 1: to beat Clemson. They were they were given those signs
- 3:11Speaker 1: because they want Michigan want to Clemson the loose they
- 3:13Speaker 1: would have to face them in the playoff.
- 3:15Speaker 5: I don't even ever heard that.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Oh yeah, baby, But if I pick one, I'm gonna
- 3:21Speaker 1: go this year or in general, let's say this year, Oh,
- 3:25Speaker 1: this year Oregon Oregon State based on where they are
- 3:32Speaker 1: as far as how much the game matters. This year,
- 3:35Speaker 1: generally speaking, the SEC wins. But I like Oregon Oregon
- 3:38Speaker 1: State this year. That should be if Oregon loses and
- 3:40Speaker 1: then they went to Pack twelve chance.
- 3:42Speaker 5: I think Orgon's gonna beat them, that's true.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Probably probably Oregon's playing really good ball.
- 3:46Speaker 4: I would else facing your Razorbacks this weekend. Is top
- 3:49Speaker 4: ten ranked Missouri the biggest surprise of the season.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Yes, that's it. Yes, because Missouri has also been are
- 3:57Speaker 1: always been like a program that hah litt them was
- 4:00Speaker 1: their field sucks? What's wrong with their field? You ever
- 4:03Speaker 1: seen it? Yeah? Or like a Division two college field?
- 4:07Speaker 3: Man, And I should upgrade that. They should You're right,
- 4:11Speaker 3: I mean, they're they're in the SEC. They should upgrade that.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And I like Missouri just fine, but I'm saying that
- 4:15Speaker 1: their field does suck. It's like Vanderbilt.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Yeah, they're building a new one though in the middle
- 4:20Speaker 3: of the season, right right. I love those Tiktoks and
- 4:23Speaker 3: people at that game is that Alabama was it?
- 4:25Speaker 1: Who was that?
- 4:25Speaker 5: Georgia?
- 4:26Speaker 3: Yeah, Georgia Sandy and they were like, there's the game
- 4:29Speaker 3: and they look over it's like construction they're still working on.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I would say Missouri is at one, Louisville's probably two, surprising,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and then Arizona, who was supposed to suck, ends up
- 4:40Speaker 1: being eight and three. Yeah, that's pretty good.
- 4:42Speaker 5: They put it on Utah last weekend.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Yeah, do you see you probably saw Cameras is coming
- 4:46Speaker 1: back for a seventh year.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Oh wow, seventh year is the seventh year, seventh mountain
- 4:51Speaker 3: stops probably.
- 4:52Speaker 1: COVID injury, red shirt, three years of playing. That's his
- 4:57Speaker 1: seventh year. Wow, so he is forty yeah, forty one later.
- 5:04Speaker 1: So yeah, I would say Missouri is, but is gonna
- 5:07Speaker 1: beat him? Oh right, right, right?
- 5:09Speaker 6: Win?
- 5:09Speaker 5: Not covery win?
- 5:10Speaker 1: You think, no win? Yeah, okay, it's only seven points spread,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and not only that arcause I will beat him. You
- 5:15Speaker 1: heard it here first, Okay?
- 5:17Speaker 4: In honor of Thanksgiving week, who do you think is
- 5:19Speaker 4: the best side dish in the NFL?
- 5:21Speaker 1: What so side dish meaning? What?
- 5:23Speaker 4: Meaning the best like one two punch like Travis Kelcey
- 5:26Speaker 4: to Mahomes and your Cini Lamb to Dad like that.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I like that. Yeah, I would have went Batman Robin
- 5:31Speaker 1: but instead of side Dish Turkey whatever. Hey, you know,
- 5:33Speaker 1: I gotta get I gotta like side Chick. I'm gonna
- 5:37Speaker 1: go to in Tyree, Okay. I think because he's the
- 5:43Speaker 1: biggest game changer in the NFL, and when he was
- 5:47Speaker 1: out for just about because this last week he was
- 5:49Speaker 1: hurt with a hand injury for a little bit and
- 5:51Speaker 1: it was only Wattle and they were able to kind
- 5:52Speaker 1: of bottle up just Wattle. But when it's Tyreek and
- 5:56Speaker 1: it's Wattle, and both those guys can freaking fly. And
- 5:58Speaker 1: now they have a chain back as well. But I
- 6:00Speaker 1: think Tyreek makes every defense have nightmares just by himself.
- 6:06Speaker 1: So two and Tyreek is my number one. Eddie, go ahead.
- 6:10Speaker 3: You're gonna have to go Diamond and Dack and CD
- 6:13Speaker 3: Lamb Baby the best hands in the nflpay.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Eddie sends me Instagram constantly of Ceed Lamb making catches
- 6:21Speaker 1: like yeah, those hands, they have too many drops.
- 6:25Speaker 3: But he does have drops. He said, you worry about
- 6:26Speaker 3: his hands. There's nothing to worry about his hands.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I worry that he will drop balls in prime time.
- 6:31Speaker 1: He did drop one against the Falcons. I thought of you,
- 6:33Speaker 1: but he does. He can't catch, but he also drops crazy.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Easy balls time, so it does justin Jefferson not really well,
- 6:40Speaker 3: well he's hurt, true, he doesn't.
- 6:42Speaker 5: It seem like CD has been like really good since we.
- 6:45Speaker 6: Talked about it.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. I heard he listens and we really fired
- 6:48Speaker 1: him up.
- 6:48Speaker 4: I think Jerry got him month. All right, go ahead,
- 6:51Speaker 4: last one? Which Thanksgiving game are you looking forward to
- 6:53Speaker 4: the most?
- 6:56Speaker 1: Is this a question? But you're a Cowboys fan, every guys.
- 6:59Speaker 3: It's America's team, America's team. You think people are waking
- 7:03Speaker 3: up to watch the Detroit Lions.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, here the Lions of Packers of the first game,
- 7:08Speaker 1: that's pretty good game. That's what you watch while you cook.
- 7:11Speaker 1: The forty nine Ers and Seahawks is probably the best game. Yeah, yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I guess so, I guess yeah this this year? Sure, Yeah,
- 7:19Speaker 1: and the Commanders at the Cowboys obviously, Man, you look
- 7:22Speaker 1: forward to that, I hear you. But the four unders
- 7:23Speaker 1: of the Seahawks are probably the game that if I
- 7:25Speaker 1: were looking at a game that's going to make a
- 7:27Speaker 1: difference from here to the end of the season, seeding,
- 7:31Speaker 1: et cetera.
- 7:31Speaker 3: It's the last game. Forty Seahawks. That's how long they've
- 7:35Speaker 3: been doing that, that last game. That's fairly new.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Right, since the dawn of time. I don't think so.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I have no idea. At least like ten years. Really,
- 7:42Speaker 1: it's been a while. I have no idea. I don't
- 7:44Speaker 1: even why you'd ask that, because I don't even remember
- 7:45Speaker 1: them not doing it. Really.
- 7:48Speaker 3: I think maybe it's just because after the Cowboys play,
- 7:49Speaker 3: I'm like, all right, we're what we're gonna do. We
- 7:51Speaker 3: can go out, We're going somewhere.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You just never watched the last game. Never. My wife
- 7:55Speaker 1: wanted to go watch Flowers at the Killer Moon. Oh yeah,
- 7:57Speaker 1: last weekend. But then I was like, wh don't watch that, thanksgime,
- 8:00Speaker 1: I have no plan to watch no Thanksgiving.
- 8:01Speaker 3: For the record, do you think she remembers you saying that, No,
- 8:05Speaker 3: you're banking on that.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, it's a three hour four movies somebody. Yeah,
- 8:09Speaker 1: it's an all nighter. And it was like a Sunday
- 8:11Speaker 1: at five o'clock, and I was like, man, if we
- 8:12Speaker 1: can watch this Sunday at five to ten o'clock. I
- 8:15Speaker 1: hadn't missed the late game. I was like, Thanksgiving, it
- 8:18Speaker 1: is I got a feeling we will not be going
- 8:20Speaker 1: on Thanksgiving? She won't even That's what I think keeps updated.
- 8:24Speaker 1: That's a tittle tattle. Name the tittle Tattle twenty five
- 8:32Speaker 1: whistles presented by DraftKings sports book and official sports betting
- 8:35Speaker 1: partner of the NFL. Download The DraftKings app used the
- 8:38Speaker 1: code Bobby sports getting on the action. This is my
- 8:41Speaker 1: gift to you so you can all be thankful early
- 8:44Speaker 1: Christmas present. Nope, it's a Thanksgiving gift. I got plenty
- 8:47Speaker 1: of the Christmas fault too perfect. Here is your parlay
- 8:51Speaker 1: that is going to win. Yeah, possibly some smiles. There
- 8:57Speaker 1: are no money lines. I'm going at it hard. Arkansas
- 9:02Speaker 1: plus seven versus Missouri. However, ARCTA is gonna win the game.
- 9:06Speaker 1: But no money lines. That's just the rule that you
- 9:08Speaker 1: put on because I don't want the lesser odds. Well,
- 9:13Speaker 1: that would be if I took that, I'd be better.
- 9:14Speaker 1: But I'm not gonna take like a favorite. Well because
- 9:16Speaker 1: all them underdogs. Okay, Arkansas plus seven versus Missouri UTSA
- 9:25Speaker 1: plus three at two lane at top twenty five to
- 9:28Speaker 1: lane twenty five, say two lane, but it's UTSA. Don't
- 9:33Speaker 1: forget that. Coach will text me back, what was that spread? Again?
- 9:37Speaker 1: Plus three? They think it's gonna be a close game,
- 9:39Speaker 1: and it's at TWU lane, so there's a two pretty
- 9:41Speaker 1: equally matched teams.
- 9:43Speaker 3: You watch a lot of two lane utsa well as
- 9:46Speaker 3: a come on yet, no, no, no, I mean just
- 9:48Speaker 3: through the season.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I've watched a little bit of UTSA one one one drive,
- 9:56Speaker 1: a two lane game. I watched one drive. Okay, good,
- 9:58Speaker 1: that's a highlight. Yeah, no, I'll watch one whole drive.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I bet on it. I bet on him once, and
- 10:02Speaker 1: I was watching at the end of the game to
- 10:03Speaker 1: see if they cover uh TCU plus eleven and a
- 10:06Speaker 1: half at Oklahoma. Nice Homer bed, come on, oh for sure,
- 10:12Speaker 1: we got coach Dykes on. That's right. So there you go. Hey,
- 10:15Speaker 1: enjoy it. Hey, thank you man, Thank you gobble. If

- 10:37Speaker 1: three six nine. Okay, now it's time for our sit down.
- 10:44Speaker 1: TCU head football coach Sunny Dyke's coach. I actually played
- 10:47Speaker 1: baseball in college at Texas Tech and even coached it
- 10:50Speaker 1: for a year in high school before realizing and not
- 10:53Speaker 1: for me. I think he said to us he didn't
- 10:54Speaker 1: want to teach five classes of like literature history because
- 10:57Speaker 1: he cared about teaching. Yeah, he led, he sed to
- 11:00Speaker 1: the national championship game in his first season last year.
- 11:03Speaker 1: He was just like a normal dude. I really liked him.
- 11:06Speaker 1: We didn't become friends after though, No, we didn't. Sometimes
- 11:08Speaker 1: I become friends with them, they're like, hey, what's up,
- 11:10Speaker 1: piy apple.
- 11:12Speaker 3: I think the reason for that is because his family
- 11:14Speaker 3: was in the dining room and he had taken Yeah,
- 11:16Speaker 3: he had just taken a break to come do the interview,
- 11:18Speaker 3: So I think he had to get back to this
- 11:19Speaker 3: fan for sure. You can follow him on Twitter at
- 11:23Speaker 3: coach Sonny Dykes. Here he is TCU had football coach
- 11:26Speaker 3: Sonny Dikes.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Coach I was playing golf at I'm just gonna say it.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I don't know a peballe beach.
- 11:33Speaker 6: I don't want to be too cool.
- 11:35Speaker 7: It's just a regular day.
- 11:37Speaker 6: It every day.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Well, I was playing in like a tournament. They're a
- 11:40Speaker 1: celebrity tournament, and this guy comes up to me and
- 11:42Speaker 1: he was super nice and he's like, hey man, how's
- 11:44Speaker 1: it going. And the guy was Pat from Train who
- 11:47Speaker 1: ends up being like the nicest guy in the whole world.
- 11:49Speaker 1: And I found out, you guys are our friends.
- 11:51Speaker 6: We are We're good buddy.
- 11:52Speaker 7: How do you know Pat?
- 11:54Speaker 8: Kind of a long story, so Pat, I know. Pat
- 11:57Speaker 8: threw a guy named Doug who's who's a sports agent,
- 12:01Speaker 8: and so when I was coaching at CAL living in
- 12:03Speaker 8: the Bay Area, met Doug. He was he represented Marshaun
- 12:06Speaker 8: Lynch and got to know Marreshawn pretty well and this
- 12:09Speaker 8: whole group of people. And he's kept telling me, because men,
- 12:10Speaker 8: you got to meet Pat, you guys are going to
- 12:12Speaker 8: really hit it off and to like each other. And
- 12:13Speaker 8: finally we kind of ran across each other and got
- 12:17Speaker 8: to know each other. And then uh, Pat's uh younger
- 12:21Speaker 8: his his wife's younger brother ended up coming and playing
- 12:25Speaker 8: for us at CAL. And so anyway, long story short,
- 12:29Speaker 8: know each other well. And and uh usually try to
- 12:31Speaker 8: see each other in the off season. Right before football
- 12:34Speaker 8: season started, went and saw Pat perform in NAPA. Had
- 12:37Speaker 8: a great concert, and kind of.
- 12:39Speaker 1: That's just as Frere is what I said, Yeah, I
- 12:41Speaker 1: know the record for the record and going to NAPA, well,
- 12:45Speaker 1: you know I wouldn't.
- 12:46Speaker 6: I wasn't able to go over to Public Beach.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but I couldn't get NAPA, so you know, And
- 12:50Speaker 1: he's still awesome. No, he still can sing.
- 12:54Speaker 8: Truly, truly, honestly one of the nicest people that ever meet,
- 12:56Speaker 8: and really really talented guy. I mean he like you said,
- 12:59Speaker 8: he and sing he's got you know, I mean they
- 13:02Speaker 8: played they played he recorded led Zeppelin too. I mean
- 13:05Speaker 8: it's it's amazing. I mean, who can sing like Robert Plant?
- 13:09Speaker 8: I mean who does that except Pat moyny hand what
- 13:11Speaker 8: do you can?
- 13:12Speaker 6: You get it?
- 13:12Speaker 1: Well?
- 13:12Speaker 8: I know, and you listen to it, and I mean
- 13:14Speaker 8: they did it an incredible job. So it just tells
- 13:16Speaker 8: you how talented he is.
- 13:17Speaker 7: What's the one we heard him singing Aerosmith?
- 13:19Speaker 1: Was it?
- 13:20Speaker 7: I dream On?
- 13:21Speaker 1: I've heard him do dream On and I him do Hey,
- 13:24Speaker 1: mom said, the way you look and it's just like
- 13:26Speaker 1: you think it's Robert plant good.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Yeah, he can do it all, man.
- 13:29Speaker 8: I mean, the guy's really talent.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Can you sing not a lick?
- 13:31Speaker 6: Really terrible?
- 13:32Speaker 8: I'm the worst worst singer in the world.
- 13:34Speaker 6: Probably would you go up if he's like coach? Does
- 13:37Speaker 6: he call you coach? Mostly Sonny, it's like.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Coach, Sonny, come up and sing Meet Virginia with me?
- 13:44Speaker 6: Would you? I'll tell you.
- 13:45Speaker 8: I'll tell you a funny story. So he he actually
- 13:48Speaker 8: came to my fiftieth birthday party and played a couple
- 13:50Speaker 8: of songs, and my daughter, who at that time was eleven,
- 13:54Speaker 8: went on stage and sang Hey Soul Sister with him.
- 13:57Speaker 8: So it was one of the coolest experiences of her
- 14:00Speaker 8: life and really a cool thing for me. And just
- 14:03Speaker 8: again shows you what kind of guy Pat is. And
- 14:05Speaker 8: my daughter can actually sing a little bit, But she
- 14:07Speaker 8: didn't get to You didn't get it from you, certainly
- 14:09Speaker 8: not from me.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Who's your mount rushmore of music?
- 14:11Speaker 7: That you are your favorites?
- 14:14Speaker 8: Oh man, you know love Dave Matthews seeing those guys
- 14:19Speaker 8: in concert a million times. Been a huge you two fan,
- 14:22Speaker 8: you know, really since nineteen eighty three, So I have
- 14:26Speaker 8: seen those guys kind of all over the United States,
- 14:28Speaker 8: probably over twenty times in concert, and that's always going
- 14:31Speaker 8: to one of their concerts is always a really cool
- 14:33Speaker 8: experience obviously, like train. Uh, you know, I kind of
- 14:40Speaker 8: grew up with the Beastie Boys, used to love the
- 14:41Speaker 8: Beastie Boys a little bit.
- 14:43Speaker 1: No, this is a crazy thing.
- 14:45Speaker 7: Playlist that's our places, Like, I.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Did not expect this, coach and be honest, you went
- 14:49Speaker 1: YouTube and Beastie Boys. I just did a thing on
- 14:51Speaker 1: Access TV. They were like, pick your favorite five albums
- 14:53Speaker 1: of all time, and one of my was Beastie Boys Licensed.
- 14:57Speaker 8: I still has certainly got to be up there. Yeah,
- 14:59Speaker 8: probably is played. Is any album I have that I've
- 15:02Speaker 8: ever had? Honestly, I did not expect me either.
- 15:05Speaker 6: Pretty cool You two.
- 15:06Speaker 3: I love It's one of my favorite bands. My favorite
- 15:08Speaker 3: concert ever, My biggest concert ever was Pearl Jam opening
- 15:11Speaker 3: up for you two in Hawaii. Yeah, and fun fact,
- 15:13Speaker 3: I started my debt. I got into forty thousand dollars
- 15:15Speaker 3: a debt because of that trip.
- 15:17Speaker 8: That's hey, So I'll tell you a funny story. So
- 15:20Speaker 8: I saw you two at the Rose Bowl, which was awesome.
- 15:22Speaker 8: In the Black Eyed Peas open for him. That was
- 15:24Speaker 8: a great show. And yeah, actually, you know, it's funny.
- 15:26Speaker 8: One of my first times I ever saw you Too
- 15:28Speaker 8: was when they came to the Fort Worth Convention Center
- 15:31Speaker 8: and I was in college at Texas Tech and we
- 15:33Speaker 8: came over and and that's when BB King came over
- 15:36Speaker 8: and sag with you with you two, and it was
- 15:37Speaker 8: part of part of Rattling Home.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Yeah, it's really cool.
- 15:40Speaker 8: So I got to see them, and that was actually
- 15:43Speaker 8: my first trip ever to Fort Worth.
- 15:45Speaker 6: Wow, so pretty cool.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Well circle, Yeah, I mean to see bb King though
- 15:49Speaker 1: just by himself would be freaking awesome.
- 15:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:52Speaker 8: Yeah, And then it was really cool to see those
- 15:53Speaker 8: guys on stage. And you know, Bono does a great
- 15:56Speaker 8: job of of always finding somebody local and coming in
- 16:00Speaker 8: and finding you know, doing something cool with them.
- 16:02Speaker 7: Coach, thanks for your time.
- 16:03Speaker 1: All right, we're done. Yeah, we had no idea we
- 16:06Speaker 1: were gonna you too. I want to turn this into
- 16:09Speaker 1: something else, but you two have been together forever. Bono
- 16:11Speaker 1: Edge all those guys that figured out a way to
- 16:13Speaker 1: stay a cohesive unit, and at times it's got to
- 16:16Speaker 1: be difficult because it's a relationship, right.
- 16:18Speaker 8: It is it is, and those guys are all super
- 16:21Speaker 8: famous and super rich and and you got to me,
- 16:23Speaker 8: you gotta pat them on the back because I think,
- 16:25Speaker 8: you know, what holds them together. I think is a
- 16:28Speaker 8: mutual respect for each other and the love of music.
- 16:30Speaker 8: And I'm, you know, speaking of a moment to go
- 16:32Speaker 8: see him in the spear uh in February, so excited
- 16:35Speaker 8: about that, got tickets to go do that, and after
- 16:37Speaker 8: signing day, so excited about about that and the whole
- 16:41Speaker 8: thing that goes along with it because I heard this
- 16:42Speaker 8: spear is pretty cool and fired up to go do
- 16:44Speaker 8: that in Vegas. But yeah, I mean, it's it's a
- 16:47Speaker 8: testament to those guys. And I think what's always made
- 16:49Speaker 8: them special is that they put their music ahead of
- 16:51Speaker 8: everything else. And I think that, uh, that's what's kept
- 16:54Speaker 8: them together.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Then how do you keep a locker room cohesive when
- 16:57Speaker 1: you have guys that are starting to have some variety,
- 17:00Speaker 1: starting to go maybe talk NFL talking about him.
- 17:04Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, it's it can be difficult. I think
- 17:06Speaker 8: you look at us last year and you know you
- 17:09Speaker 8: had the perfect climber that you know, Max Duggan loses
- 17:12Speaker 8: the starting quarterback job and then Chandel Chandla Morris gets
- 17:16Speaker 8: hurt Week one, and then all of a sudden, Max
- 17:19Speaker 8: takes over as a starter and then ends up in
- 17:21Speaker 8: New York and finish the second in the Heisman Trophy.
- 17:23Speaker 8: And you know, it was interesting to see that notoriety
- 17:27Speaker 8: start to take place as the season went along, and
- 17:30Speaker 8: Max did such a good job of understanding. Look that
- 17:33Speaker 8: if you're successful as a football player, it's because of
- 17:35Speaker 8: so many other people. You know, whether it's teammates, you know,
- 17:38Speaker 8: certainly as a quarterback, you know, having Quinton Johnson help
- 17:41Speaker 8: him tremendously, having a really good offensive line help him tremendously,
- 17:44Speaker 8: Having Ken Dre and all the guys that we had
- 17:48Speaker 8: in the backfield last year, Amari, those guys made a
- 17:52Speaker 8: big difference for Max. It made it easy for him
- 17:54Speaker 8: to go be a quarterback. And I think those guys
- 17:56Speaker 8: all have to take it and try and understand that.
- 17:58Speaker 8: And he did such a great job handling it. And
- 18:00Speaker 8: what he did it was so cool is is he
- 18:02Speaker 8: built everybody else up.
- 18:03Speaker 6: I mean, he.
- 18:04Speaker 8: Understood looked I'm a I'm a product of their success,
- 18:07Speaker 8: and I'm a product because these guys are good, good
- 18:09Speaker 8: players and a great supporting cast. And that's all critical
- 18:11Speaker 8: for a quarterback.
- 18:12Speaker 6: But you know, within.
- 18:14Speaker 8: Il and all the crazy stuff happening now. I mean,
- 18:16Speaker 8: it's it's a different world, and I think you have
- 18:17Speaker 8: to to try to build a culture every single day.
- 18:20Speaker 8: And it comes down to, you know, the guys, you know,
- 18:23Speaker 8: first of all, being transparent, honest with the players and
- 18:25Speaker 8: let everybody know what's going on, and and then those
- 18:28Speaker 8: guys making sure that they understand it. Look, we're going
- 18:31Speaker 8: to be good as a football team if we if
- 18:33Speaker 8: we have a good culture, and if the guys get
- 18:35Speaker 8: along and and they respect each other. So just like
- 18:38Speaker 8: you too, I mean you got to you got to.
- 18:39Speaker 8: Number one, you gotta love football, and number two, you
- 18:41Speaker 8: have to have a mutual respect for your teammates.
- 18:44Speaker 1: With the portal creating a lot of new opportunities, you
- 18:48Speaker 1: have to constantly recruit the kids that you already have.
- 18:51Speaker 1: It feels have have you had to change the way
- 18:55Speaker 1: that your day to day dealings are with the players
- 18:57Speaker 1: because of that.
- 18:59Speaker 8: You know, it's interesting, is not really? Because I always
- 19:02Speaker 8: felt like that was our job anyway, you know what
- 19:04Speaker 8: I mean. I always felt like that if a player
- 19:06Speaker 8: played in my program or a program that I coached in,
- 19:10Speaker 8: even when I was an assistant coach, you know, my
- 19:14Speaker 8: job was to make those guys feel welcome, feel important, motivate.
- 19:19Speaker 6: Them, you know.
- 19:19Speaker 8: But at the same time, you know, I want them
- 19:21Speaker 8: to have a good experience. And so for us, it's
- 19:23Speaker 8: the same thing, you know, when someone comes to TCU.
- 19:26Speaker 8: You know, number one, our jobs to win football games.
- 19:28Speaker 8: We understand that that's how we're judged. But also too,
- 19:31Speaker 8: I want their experience to be a great experience, and
- 19:34Speaker 8: I want their life to be better from that experience.
- 19:37Speaker 8: And so I think our guys pick up on that.
- 19:39Speaker 8: I think they know what's important to us as coaches,
- 19:42Speaker 8: and again it comes down to mutual respect, and we
- 19:44Speaker 8: all want the same thing. You know, we want to play.
- 19:47Speaker 8: Those guys want to play on a winning team. I
- 19:48Speaker 8: want to coach a winning team. And then I want
- 19:50Speaker 8: those guys to be incredibly successful with what's next in
- 19:52Speaker 8: their life, whether it's the NFL, or whether it's law
- 19:55Speaker 8: school or medical school, or teaching or coaching or whatever
- 19:58Speaker 8: it may be that's next. You know, MY job is
- 20:01Speaker 8: to prepare those guys for that as well.
- 20:03Speaker 1: And so.
- 20:05Speaker 8: I think when you take that approach, you know, whether
- 20:08Speaker 8: you're doing it actively or not, you're actually recruiting those
- 20:11Speaker 8: guys because again, you're you're building that relationship with them.
- 20:14Speaker 7: Coach.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I'm not referring to any game in particular, but how
- 20:17Speaker 3: do you deal with bad calls or no calls when
- 20:21Speaker 3: knowing you got cheated.
- 20:22Speaker 7: The more you argue it is not going to change it.
- 20:25Speaker 8: Yeah, it's hard. Yeah, it's hard. I mean, you know
- 20:28Speaker 8: that's something that I struggle with a little bit. You know,
- 20:31Speaker 8: it's like, you know, you want you want your players
- 20:34Speaker 8: to be successful so badly, and especially when they put
- 20:37Speaker 8: the time and effort in that they put in and
- 20:39Speaker 8: the work. You know, I always believe it's important for
- 20:43Speaker 8: young people to be rewarded when they when they work
- 20:45Speaker 8: really really hard, whether it's my daughter who's in the
- 20:48Speaker 8: seventh grade right now, or or one of our players.
- 20:52Speaker 8: You know, they they need to see the fruits of
- 20:54Speaker 8: their hard work, and you want it to show up
- 20:56Speaker 8: on Saturday because that's where it's easy to be seen.
- 21:00Speaker 8: And so yeah, I mean, you hate it when when
- 21:02Speaker 8: I called it and go your way or something bad happens,
- 21:05Speaker 8: But you got to get over it because it's the
- 21:06Speaker 8: same old thing. You know, if you if you lose
- 21:08Speaker 8: your composure as a coach, then your team has a
- 21:10Speaker 8: tendency to lose their composure, and you know everybody's watching
- 21:13Speaker 8: you and you've got to make sure that you uphold
- 21:16Speaker 8: the standard and that's can be difficult to do, but
- 21:18Speaker 8: you got to find a way to do it.
- 21:20Speaker 7: Do you have to remind yourself at that moment, like
- 21:21Speaker 7: just stuff talking?
- 21:22Speaker 6: Yeah, I just let it go.
- 21:23Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, you just gotta at some point you say, okay, look,
- 21:25Speaker 8: I gotta just walk away. And it's hard to do sometimes,
- 21:28Speaker 8: but I mean they're not going to change a call.
- 21:30Speaker 8: I've never seen anybody go, hey, you know what, You're right?
- 21:34Speaker 8: That wasn't pass in. Yeah, we're gonna move on. And
- 21:37Speaker 8: so you just gotta you know, you gotta, like I said,
- 21:40Speaker 8: you've got to defend your players and your team and
- 21:42Speaker 8: then you got to figure out a way to get
- 21:43Speaker 8: over it.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Are there some referees that through the years you've developed
- 21:47Speaker 1: a better communication style with?
- 21:50Speaker 6: You know? I think so.
- 21:51Speaker 8: I mean, if you stay in the league long enough,
- 21:53Speaker 8: there's always guys that they kind of learned you, and
- 21:55Speaker 8: you learn them and and and you do kind of
- 21:59Speaker 8: form a new respect. But it comes back to what
- 22:02Speaker 8: we talked about earlier, is communication really, I mean, all
- 22:04Speaker 8: you want is a coach is communication. You want to know, Okay,
- 22:07Speaker 8: why did they call this? What did they see? And
- 22:10Speaker 8: then their officials are just like us. I mean, we
- 22:12Speaker 8: make a million mistakes as coaches during ballgames, and they're
- 22:14Speaker 8: going to make some calling the ballgame, and that's just
- 22:16Speaker 8: the way it goes sometimes, it's human nature. And but yeah,
- 22:19Speaker 8: I mean I always appreciate the guys that are honest
- 22:22Speaker 8: and try to communicate with you the best they can.
- 22:25Speaker 1: We've got to put speakers in the helmets, right.
- 22:28Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, I mean we should have happened fifteen
- 22:30Speaker 8: years ago. I mean the fact that we're having this
- 22:33Speaker 8: debate in college football right now is laughable. I mean,
- 22:35Speaker 8: this technology has been here for twenty years or longer,
- 22:38Speaker 8: and I don't know why we haven't gone here gotten
- 22:41Speaker 8: here before now, but surely something's going to happen now.
- 22:44Speaker 8: And it's too bad it took all this silliness for
- 22:48Speaker 8: it to take place. I mean, you know, you watch
- 22:50Speaker 8: a college football game right now, and you got guys
- 22:51Speaker 8: in seven different colored shirts, you have people holding up banners,
- 22:55Speaker 8: and you have all this stuff. It's embarrassing. I mean,
- 22:57Speaker 8: it really is. And there's an easy way to solve it,
- 23:00Speaker 8: and it's by having a communication device, whether it's some
- 23:03Speaker 8: wearables you know that happen right now in Major League
- 23:06Speaker 8: baseball or in college baseball, or it's you know, the
- 23:10Speaker 8: communication through the helmet one or the other. It needs
- 23:12Speaker 8: to take place.
- 23:13Speaker 7: What about halftime, coach.
- 23:14Speaker 3: I mean, when I watch an NFL game, I go
- 23:16Speaker 3: walk the dog and I come back, I'm like, oh man,
- 23:18Speaker 3: it's already started.
- 23:19Speaker 8: Yeah, halftime in the NFL is short. I mean barely
- 23:21Speaker 8: barely have time to go to the rest of Yeah,
- 23:23Speaker 8: it's different college football, and I think the pageantry of
- 23:26Speaker 8: college football, you know, the bands and the drill teams
- 23:30Speaker 8: and the cheerleading squads and all the things that happen
- 23:32Speaker 8: in college football make that part a little bit different.
- 23:35Speaker 8: I mean, the NFL is built for TV, you know,
- 23:37Speaker 8: I think college football is built for fan experience, and
- 23:39Speaker 8: so I think that's a little bit different.
- 23:41Speaker 3: But what do you guys do, Like so, because you
- 23:43Speaker 3: talk to them, you do your halftime speech and all that,
- 23:45Speaker 3: but then you.
- 23:45Speaker 7: Just chill up.
- 23:46Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean you'd be surprised you don't have as
- 23:48Speaker 8: much time as you think. By the time you get
- 23:49Speaker 8: in there. You know, the offensive coaches will go and
- 23:52Speaker 8: meet together and they'll kind of come up formulate a
- 23:54Speaker 8: game plan, and defensive coaches will do the same thing,
- 23:56Speaker 8: and you know, special teams guys making adjustments and trying
- 23:59Speaker 8: to figure out you know, who's available and who's not,
- 24:01Speaker 8: who's banged up, and and so there's a lot of
- 24:04Speaker 8: stuff going on, and then you have a chance to
- 24:05Speaker 8: really to address the players, you know, the offense, defensive,
- 24:08Speaker 8: special teams do and then all of a sudden, you know,
- 24:10Speaker 8: head coaches talking and you're back out. So it's it
- 24:13Speaker 8: may seem like a while, but it but by the
- 24:15Speaker 8: time it all gets organized, it takes a little bit
- 24:17Speaker 8: of time.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Final three questions. When you're doing halftime adjustments, do you
- 24:21Speaker 1: ever adjust? But then find out the team has adjusted
- 24:24Speaker 1: your adjustment before, so you're like, we've adjusted, but they knew.
- 24:27Speaker 6: They were going to adjust. Yeah.
- 24:29Speaker 8: I mean, look, there's halftime adjustments. Is it's a real thing.
- 24:33Speaker 8: But I do think in a lot of ways, you know,
- 24:35Speaker 8: there's probably more made of that than there actually is
- 24:38Speaker 8: in football in some cases. I mean, you know, you
- 24:40Speaker 8: come in I think a lot of times it's just
- 24:42Speaker 8: kind of clear in the air and it's talking to
- 24:44Speaker 8: your players where you have a chance to say, Okay,
- 24:46Speaker 8: what are you seeing? You know, what's what's causing this problems?
- 24:49Speaker 8: What are you seeing? And a lot of times it's
- 24:51Speaker 8: it comes down to again communication thing where you know,
- 24:54Speaker 8: they said, hey, I need to call this front a
- 24:55Speaker 8: little bit different, or I need to make this call
- 24:58Speaker 8: and and things like that. So you know, very seldom
- 25:00Speaker 8: are guys coming in and changing the whole offense or
- 25:02Speaker 8: defense at halftime. It's usually pretty pretty much screwdriver adjustments,
- 25:06Speaker 8: but obviously they can make a difference.
- 25:08Speaker 7: Coach, did you ever have a backup plan.
- 25:10Speaker 6: For coaching for career, just in case it.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Was football to backup plan?
- 25:16Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 25:16Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 25:19Speaker 8: I mean, look, I think I was probably like everybody else,
- 25:21Speaker 8: you know, I always thought, you know, I'll be like
- 25:23Speaker 8: a pro football player, a pro baseball player, like every
- 25:25Speaker 8: kid thinks, and then you kind of realize that that's
- 25:28Speaker 8: not the case. And and you know, for me, honestly,
- 25:31Speaker 8: I wanted to be a pilot. That's kind kind of
- 25:33Speaker 8: one of the things I was. I was going to
- 25:34Speaker 8: go to the Air Force Academy and and be a pilot,
- 25:37Speaker 8: and you know, didn't work out, and so so football
- 25:42Speaker 8: was kind of next, and so you know, or coaching
- 25:45Speaker 8: was next, and thought maybe it was going to be baseball.
- 25:47Speaker 8: And then I realized that, you know, coaching baseball wasn't
- 25:51Speaker 8: as fine as coaching football. And you know, my goal,
- 25:53Speaker 8: honestly was to go someplace I'd moved around a lot
- 25:55Speaker 8: growing up and put some roots down.
- 25:57Speaker 6: And be a high school coach.
- 25:58Speaker 8: And and then I started teaching five sophomore English classes
- 26:01Speaker 8: a day, and I realized, man, this may be a
- 26:04Speaker 8: little more than I want. And that's what got me
- 26:06Speaker 8: into college football. Took a job at Navario Junior College
- 26:08Speaker 8: for two hundred and eighty eight bucks a month and
- 26:10Speaker 8: lived in the dorm and ate for free. And that's
- 26:13Speaker 8: kind of how I got in college football.
- 26:14Speaker 7: Were you a good teacher? Because every time I got
- 26:15Speaker 7: a football coach, I was like.
- 26:17Speaker 6: Great, yeah, you know what, I worked. I worked hard
- 26:19Speaker 6: at it.
- 26:19Speaker 8: I mean it was important to me, and I was
- 26:20Speaker 8: teaching an important subject. I mean, English was sophomore English
- 26:23Speaker 8: was a big deal and it was important and I
- 26:25Speaker 8: was pretty passionate about it.
- 26:26Speaker 1: So I worked so annoyed if he's my English teacher,
- 26:28Speaker 1: and he like cared.
- 26:28Speaker 8: Yeah, I worked really hard at it. I don't know
- 26:30Speaker 8: if I was any good or not, but I did.
- 26:31Speaker 8: I worked hard at it.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Final question is a tough one. It's gonna be hard
- 26:35Speaker 1: for you to answer. It's hard for me to ask.
- 26:37Speaker 1: But when you two put all those songs on our
- 26:39Speaker 1: phones back in the day and they shoved them in
- 26:40Speaker 1: our throats, how did you feel about that?
- 26:42Speaker 6: You know what?
- 26:43Speaker 8: As much as I love you too, I was kind
- 26:44Speaker 8: of even pissed off.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, just making sure.
- 26:46Speaker 8: And I'm still pissed because sometimes I get in my
- 26:49Speaker 8: car and all of a sudden there's a random U
- 26:50Speaker 8: two song playing and I'm.
- 26:52Speaker 6: Like, where did this come from?
- 26:53Speaker 1: I don't even know this song?
- 26:54Speaker 6: But yeah, yeah, yeah, but I had.
- 26:56Speaker 1: To go there, Coach. I know that's difficult one for
- 26:57Speaker 1: you to it was.
- 26:58Speaker 7: It was free, guys, I'll remind you was free.
- 27:00Speaker 6: Yeah, but we didn't ask for it. I know it
- 27:01Speaker 6: was free, and I get it. I get it.
- 27:03Speaker 8: It was a little aggressive maybe on Apples on Apple's part,
- 27:07Speaker 8: but hey, if you're going to put somebody on for free,
- 27:09Speaker 8: it might as well be YouTube.
- 27:10Speaker 1: All right, Coach, We appreciate you, congratulations and all the success.
- 27:13Speaker 1: I just really turning this program to something special.
- 27:15Speaker 6: Yeah, thank you.
- 27:15Speaker 8: I appreciate it's a great place, special place. I'm I'm
- 27:18Speaker 8: lucky to be here. It hadn't been this year, hadn't
- 27:19Speaker 8: been what we wanted. But man, it's a blessing to
- 27:21Speaker 8: be here and excited about our future.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Do you even have to move houses?
- 27:25Speaker 6: Yeah? I did, Oh moved. I moved.
- 27:26Speaker 8: I was only about a block from SMU and so
- 27:28Speaker 8: I needed to get over.
- 27:29Speaker 6: Oh yeah, you had to get out to get over here.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Okay, just make it sure, all right, coach, Thank you, big.
- 27:32Speaker 8: Man, thanks for having me make sure you guys all right.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Thanks to coach Diyke's there. That's awesome. And now about DraftKings. Hey,
- 27:38Speaker 1: there's so much to be thankful for. If it's family, friends, food,
- 27:41Speaker 1: if it's NFL football all week long, Yes, Draft King
- 27:45Speaker 1: Sports Book is keeping your Thanksgiving week full of action.

- 46:38Speaker 1: And he said name?
- 46:40Speaker 5: You said Joe cool. Joe, I just had them from
- 46:42Speaker 5: name it.
- 46:44Speaker 1: He knows the answers. Would you accept Joe Montana? I
- 46:46Speaker 1: will accept it? Read Kevin, Would you accept Joe Montana
- 46:49Speaker 1: if you were them on you?
- 46:51Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 46:51Speaker 1: Okay, well the answers, Mark Sallen, is it really?
- 46:55Speaker 9: Oh wow?
- 46:55Speaker 1: I don't think Joan won the hes Damn dang it

- 47:04Speaker 1: the NFL if it's a player of the Year three times,
- 47:06Speaker 1: eighty one, eighty two, and eighty six with the Giants.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Gotta be Lawrence Taylor, who's the all time leader in
- 47:11Speaker 1: career field goals made in the NFL. Hmm and that
- 47:17Speaker 1: was a long time ago.
- 47:20Speaker 5: Most career field goals. Gotta be oh Vin Terry correct?
- 47:27Speaker 1: Yeah, one of my team, who's the all time leader
- 47:28Speaker 1: and career passing yards for the New York Giants?

- 47:40Speaker 4: seems too obvious. I'm gonna go Yeah, it's gotta be Eli.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Correct. Okay, who else were you thinking?
- 47:45Speaker 5: Phil Simms?
- 47:46Speaker 1: Okay, that's good, Daniel John m hmm. Interesting. And this
- 47:53Speaker 1: would have been the final question. Who's the all time
- 47:55Speaker 1: leader and career sacks for the Baltimore Ravens.
- 48:00Speaker 5: Trell Suggs correct? Okays A good one.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Good job man, Joe.
- 48:06Speaker 5: Marcus Allen.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I met Marcus Allen like three or four months ago. Really,
- 48:12Speaker 1: where were you? Blank?
- 48:13Speaker 5: Golf?
- 48:14Speaker 1: And he was just chilling a celebrity tournament. Wow. Cool dude,
- 48:18Speaker 1: still big dude, older but yeah, and it was very nice.
- 48:22Speaker 1: I don't know about cool, but he was older and nice.
- 48:24Speaker 1: But could he still run fast? We ran like three
- 48:27Speaker 1: plays and they were all draws, so it really couldn't
- 48:30Speaker 1: really didn't show off his speed.
- 48:31Speaker 5: Was he carrying all those awards?
- 48:32Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 48:33Speaker 1: He had him all his backpack. Helled him out. What
- 48:35Speaker 1: do you win the Super Bowl? What team was he on?
- 48:37Speaker 5: The Raiders?
- 48:39Speaker 1: Was he with the Raiders when they won? With Madden?
- 48:41Speaker 1: I guess?
- 48:41Speaker 2: So?
- 48:42Speaker 1: Hey sounds good to me, Yeah, I guess every canna
- 48:45Speaker 1: have a good Thanksgiving? Yes? Yeah, I'm going to UCF game.
- 48:48Speaker 7: You get this set up?
- 48:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I got all set out. We're gonna take the boys.
- 48:51Speaker 3: See UCF versus Houston in Orlando. Man, can't wait, that's
- 48:55Speaker 3: really cool?
- 48:56Speaker 9: You ready, I'm gonna go see the girl.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Somebody said they saw a picture of Read and they
- 49:00Speaker 1: were like, dang, you're full grown.
- 49:02Speaker 9: I was like, cool.
- 49:04Speaker 6: You ever think.
- 49:06Speaker 1: You ever think you'd be part of a sports show
- 49:07Speaker 1: Read since you're not really a big sports fan.
- 49:09Speaker 9: Absolutely? Uh not No, but it's fun. I love it.
- 49:13Speaker 1: I'm the guy that doesn't know anything that you see
- 49:16Speaker 1: Eddie's job, but Eddie's actually quite Yeah.
- 49:19Speaker 3: I mean I would say thanks to DraftKings, really, because
- 49:22Speaker 3: once I started gambling on games, like I just don't
- 49:23Speaker 3: watch every single game.
- 49:25Speaker 1: It's like fantasy. All of a sudden, everybody the biggest
- 49:27Speaker 1: conference is the smallest conference. Man'm watching all the game.
- 49:30Speaker 5: What you got going to a friend's house?
- 49:33Speaker 1: But are you staying here?
- 49:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll be local, staying around. It's a lot to
- 49:36Speaker 4: travel on the holidays.
- 49:37Speaker 3: You know, Abby can't watch your dog, right, Yeah? We
- 49:39Speaker 3: got someone okay white because she's watching yours.
- 49:42Speaker 1: No, she can't watch mine either. Really, no, no one's
- 49:44Speaker 1: watching my dog. We're gone that day. We have somebody
- 49:46Speaker 1: at the house, okay, but I have to have people
- 49:49Speaker 1: rotating in and out. Oh, so may have to have
- 49:51Speaker 1: Kevin go by there for a little bit of a
- 49:52Speaker 1: few hours. Let me know you trust Kevin at the pad? Well,
- 49:55Speaker 1: we have somebody staying there every night. Who is it. Well,
- 49:59Speaker 1: let's just say it, runch Brocks. It's not trusting, all right,
- 50:04Speaker 1: that's it. Promises, Yeah, promises, and get out of here.
- 50:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna my promise is gonna be UTSA again.
- 50:12Speaker 7: I love it.
- 50:13Speaker 1: Plus three they're playing two lane top twenty five. Two
- 50:18Speaker 1: lane guys made fun of me for that one, but
- 50:19Speaker 1: that's my promise this week u TSA. So it's our
- 50:22Speaker 1: last week for the money, and then next week we
- 50:26Speaker 1: will pick games and whoever does the best the last
- 50:28Speaker 1: place person gets eliminated in the three stay in for
- 50:30Speaker 1: the money. Everybody good. I'm not sure we thinks in
- 50:33Speaker 1: the broken promises are.
- 50:34Speaker 5: About to twenty five. Oh yeah, give or take twenty
- 50:38Speaker 5: or forty.
- 50:38Speaker 1: I say, you're trying to count it, but it's like
- 50:40Speaker 1: a it's hard gumballs. Well, it's kind of like a
- 50:43Speaker 1: sailboat in a bottle. Once it's in there, you can't
- 50:46Speaker 1: get it out, and you can't get this money out
- 50:48Speaker 1: of sealed ship to break it. Yeah, I get UTSA
- 50:50Speaker 1: plus three read I.
- 50:53Speaker 10: Think I'm gonna go even Yeah, yeah, I was thinking
- 50:57Speaker 10: of two teams. But I think I'm gonna do Dolphins
- 50:59Speaker 10: minus eight against the Jets pretty good.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I like that. I like that one too, Eddie.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Can I take a Monday game the next Monday.
- 51:08Speaker 3: Game because that would roll over into the next Okay, well,
- 51:11Speaker 3: I guess I will take the same one Red took,
- 51:15Speaker 3: which is the Dolphins.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Say it, Kevin, I'm.
- 51:18Speaker 5: Gonna go with your guys's Cowboys.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Cowboys.
- 51:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to jump on that Cowboy train. It's
- 51:24Speaker 4: minus eleven commanders. I think the manners are sealing it in.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Now that's a division game kind of Hey, Mikey, do
- 51:31Speaker 1: you think that you have any sort of fomo for
- 51:34Speaker 1: not wanting to play in our gambling game? No? I
- 51:36Speaker 1: don't like gambling at all. Yeah.
- 51:38Speaker 5: I don't get enjoyment out of it. I like seeing
- 51:40Speaker 5: how much you spend on.
- 51:41Speaker 7: It here in your report.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why for me, that is fun. Yeah, that's
- 51:45Speaker 1: a different animal. I'm almost what what do.
- 51:47Speaker 5: You mean, Like, how hard do you go?
- 51:51Speaker 1: That's like a fantasy for us? You understand that hard?
- 51:54Speaker 6: Oh?
- 51:54Speaker 4: You go hard when you send me like screenshots of
- 51:56Speaker 4: winnings and then I want to send mine back like
- 51:58Speaker 4: five dollars.
- 51:59Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. The amount of money is irrelevant, and
- 52:01Speaker 1: it's the amount of money versus the amount of money
- 52:05Speaker 1: you put in. Don't understand what you're saying. If you
- 52:09Speaker 1: make a five dollar bet and you win eighty bucks
- 52:11Speaker 1: from that five dollar bet on some really cool parlay,
- 52:14Speaker 1: I think that's cooler than if I make a fifty
- 52:16Speaker 1: dollar bet and make fifty three dollars.
- 52:19Speaker 3: But you're making more than we are because we're risking,
- 52:22Speaker 3: but I'm also risking way more correct.
- 52:24Speaker 1: That's why it's like, Yeah, I get it could be exciting,
- 52:27Speaker 1: but I'm saying I think it's cooler. If you guys
- 52:29Speaker 1: want a big bet, it's way riskier. We just haven't
- 52:31Speaker 1: really hit that one yet. Yeah, I know we're overdue
- 52:34Speaker 1: for that. I think I'm like sixty grand in seeming.
- 52:39Speaker 5: That's the number I'm talking about.
- 52:40Speaker 9: Yeah, sixty grand.
- 52:44Speaker 1: And I'm trying to get back to even this week.
- 52:46Speaker 1: You can do it.
- 52:46Speaker 5: Yeah, you're gonna do that.
- 52:47Speaker 1: I feel like had a really good year except for
- 52:49Speaker 1: two freaking bets that I just went straight just during
- 52:53Speaker 1: the game, Like I just went and it was like
- 52:54Speaker 1: double down, double down, double down? Are you still playing?
- 52:57Speaker 1: Drive results only if no man. Every once in a
- 53:01Speaker 1: while I feel like I've got it. You got it
- 53:03Speaker 1: When a quarterback ends up breaking his arm or something,
- 53:04Speaker 1: just keep backing punt. Yes, I think I got it.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Boys?
- 53:09Speaker 1: All right, Thank you guys. Hope you have a great holiday.
- 53:11Speaker 1: We will see you back next week. The TCU episode
- 53:15Speaker 1: is upup too much access, Go too much Access dot com.
- 53:17Speaker 1: You can follow us at twenty five whistles and I
- 53:20Speaker 1: believe that's it. Anybody anything else I want to say? No, no,
- 53:23Speaker 1: or I can stall go Cowboys, Cowboys. Do you want
- 53:25Speaker 1: the Patriots to win.
- 53:27Speaker 6: This week?
- 53:28Speaker 5: Yeah? I guess the Giants.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Yes you do.
- 53:30Speaker 5: If we can beat two teams, the Giants and the Jets,
- 53:32Speaker 5: I'm cool.
- 53:33Speaker 1: You're gonna hurt your drafts, But that's all right, you do.
- 53:35Speaker 5: We keep losing and we're still in the same spot.
- 53:37Speaker 5: We we're like a month ago.
- 53:38Speaker 1: But if you win, you'll for sure move because you
- 53:40Speaker 1: can't really go. It's hard to go closer to the
- 53:44Speaker 1: worst if other people are worse, but it's easier to
- 53:46Speaker 1: go closer to the better if you win. All those
- 53:48Speaker 1: teams that sucks are still losing.
- 53:50Speaker 5: Well, we can't lose to the Giants, anybody but the
- 53:52Speaker 5: Giants and the Jets, and.
- 53:53Speaker 1: This parcel is going to stay. Do you want them
- 53:54Speaker 1: to stay? Parcels? WELLI check giants, man, he said, giants.
- 53:59Speaker 1: I went right to our coach. Yes, go ahead. I'm tired, man, Holiday,
- 54:05Speaker 1: I'm still torn.
- 54:06Speaker 5: I'm still torn. Fifty to fifty.
- 54:09Speaker 1: If they said you get to make the decision.
- 54:11Speaker 5: It depends who they have a mind.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Res you get to make? Robert Rob Kraft online too, Hey, Kevin,
- 54:17Speaker 1: I'm going into the massage parlor in a second, but
- 54:19Speaker 1: before I go in, i'd like to get your advice.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Hold on one second, Bertha should should we hire a
- 54:28Speaker 1: new coach? We don't know who it is yet, and
- 54:30Speaker 1: that means we have to fire mister Belichick. But it's
- 54:32Speaker 1: up to you.
- 54:32Speaker 4: Well, mister Kraft, I think we'll have the opportunity to
- 54:36Speaker 4: start over. Mac Jones has got to go. Everyone's got
- 54:38Speaker 4: to go.
- 54:38Speaker 5: Clean house.
- 54:39Speaker 1: Let's do it. You're out. Oh wow, no lotion this time.
- 54:44Speaker 1: That's disgusting. Man, oh.
- 54:50Speaker 6: Man, dry.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Clean house. Thank you all. Betdie blood Whistle, We'll see
- 54:57Speaker 1: you guys. Here we go, string dude, we're all drunk,
