- 0:00Speaker 1: And now move the Sticks with Daniel, Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:08Speaker 2: What's up everybody? Welcome to move the Sticks on a Monday,
- 0:11Speaker 2: DJ and Baldi with you. Buck is having some traveling difficulties. Baldi,
- 0:15Speaker 2: you made you made a great call in the in
- 0:17Speaker 2: the group chat, which is so well put, is that
- 0:20Speaker 2: they pay us for the travel, not for their work,
- 0:22Speaker 2: but travels.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We love doing the work.
- 0:24Speaker 2: DJ.
- 0:24Speaker 1: We hate to travel. And there's that I was involved in.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Not as bad as Bucky here last night, but you know, connections,
- 0:32Speaker 1: don't you know, don't go on time? And I come
- 0:35Speaker 1: back home last night, DJ, I'm in New Jersey. Got
- 0:38Speaker 1: eight inches of snow on my driveway at two in
- 0:40Speaker 1: the morning. You got to go get the shovel just
- 0:42Speaker 1: to get in the driveway, you know, like it's uh,
- 0:45Speaker 1: you know it's Was.
- 0:46Speaker 2: It colder because we saw each other yesterday in Kansas City?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Was it was it colder when you landed or was
- 0:50Speaker 2: it colder in KC?
- 0:52Speaker 1: I felt like KC in the morning it was brutal.
- 0:56Speaker 1: It was really brutal in the morning. It seemed like
- 0:58Speaker 1: when the sun came out, I felt like it was
- 1:01Speaker 1: it was pretty decent last night it was. It was
- 1:04Speaker 1: pretty rough. It was probably like eight or nine degrees
- 1:06Speaker 1: last night with the wind blowing, so dump d eight
- 1:09Speaker 1: inches of snow in New Jersey. So you know, it
- 1:11Speaker 1: was a little bit to deal with. But I felt
- 1:13Speaker 1: like during the game, I didn't feel like the temperature
- 1:16Speaker 1: was any kind of a factor at all.
- 1:18Speaker 2: No, I definitely felt like too. The way that it
- 1:20Speaker 2: kind of worked out for the Chargers was that the
- 1:21Speaker 2: sun was shining on their side of the field. You
- 1:23Speaker 2: have the shadows in the shade which is much colder
- 1:27Speaker 2: on the chief side of things there. But we'll get
- 1:29Speaker 2: to that. We'll get to that game, and just a
- 1:30Speaker 2: little bit, baldy, I want to get big picture and
- 1:32Speaker 2: then we'll jump into some of these some of these
- 1:34Speaker 2: ball games. But I was just looking at the playoff
- 1:36Speaker 2: standings today, and if I asked you this, if I
- 1:38Speaker 2: if I told you could have one field versus another
- 1:41Speaker 2: field for who you thought would end up winning the
- 1:43Speaker 2: Super Bowl. And if I if I gave you the
- 1:45Speaker 2: top division, the division leaders in the AFC, which is Denver,
- 1:50Speaker 2: so you have your choice. You get Denver, New England, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh,
- 1:53Speaker 2: those four teams, or you get the Chargers, Buffalo, Houston.
- 2:00Speaker 1: It's a great.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Teams because it isn't that interesting.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I take the second field. Yeah, I take the second
- 2:04Speaker 1: Fielduse I don't know anybody wants to see Houston. Nobody.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I mean, all these teams are gonna have to go
- 2:09Speaker 2: on the road, and all of them are built to
- 2:10Speaker 2: go on the road.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean defense travels. So you know, Houston, I
- 2:14Speaker 1: think you go anywhere and win. Buffalo. What they did
- 2:17Speaker 1: to New England on the road yesterday, I mean it
- 2:19Speaker 1: was it was more of the Josh Allen James Cook
- 2:21Speaker 1: had a great game, but it was it was the whole,
- 2:25Speaker 1: the whole effort, you know. I mean all those tight
- 2:27Speaker 1: ends of Buffalo had a big say in it. That
- 2:30Speaker 1: was a good game to study. But I might take
- 2:33Speaker 1: that second tier.
- 2:34Speaker 2: That's what I was looking at. It just kind of
- 2:36Speaker 2: you know, you pick your head up a little bit
- 2:37Speaker 2: and start looking at the seedings. Yeah, this time here,
- 2:39Speaker 2: so we go over to the NFC and then you
- 2:42Speaker 2: look there at the top seeds of division leaders. You've
- 2:44Speaker 2: got the Rams, the Bears, the Eagles, the Bucks, and
- 2:47Speaker 2: then those next three teams would be Seattle, San Francisco,
- 2:50Speaker 2: Green Bay, and I think because of injuries. You know,
- 2:53Speaker 2: when you have Bosa and Micah Parsons out, I think
- 2:56Speaker 2: that flips that balance of power more towards those division leaders. Yeah.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean losing Michael ass And I mean it
- 3:01Speaker 1: was just I mean, he's the one chess piece that
- 3:04Speaker 1: you know, really made that made that defense special, all
- 3:07Speaker 1: the different things that he can do, and to see
- 3:09Speaker 1: him go down, you know, I was just rough yesterday.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I mean, we're we're a league DJ that's built on superstars,
- 3:15Speaker 1: not star superstars, guys that can change the game every
- 3:19Speaker 1: Sunday like mahomes and and Parsons can. They're so rare
- 3:23Speaker 1: to come by and to see him both go down
- 3:26Speaker 1: yesterday was really tough. Yeah, it was a whole host
- 3:29Speaker 1: of injuries too. Christian Watson went down. Looks like hopefully
- 3:32Speaker 1: he's going to be okay. Davante Adams I think was
- 3:34Speaker 1: a hammy, but you know it might miss some time,
- 3:36Speaker 1: might miss.
- 3:38Speaker 2: That looked. Yeah, so we'll see how you know, maybe
- 3:41Speaker 2: that's a playoff thing, uh when he gets back. But man,
- 3:44Speaker 2: injury is a big, big part of the day. Let's uh,
- 3:47Speaker 2: let's jump in into these games. Well to me and
- 3:50Speaker 2: we're calling the same game, So you're probably in the
- 3:51Speaker 2: same boat as me, where you kind of peek at
- 3:53Speaker 2: some of the scores they're in some commercial breaks and
- 3:57Speaker 2: and I'm looking at the New England Buffalo game and
- 3:59Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, New England, it's going to
- 4:01Speaker 2: run them out of the state. Twe mill flowing their
- 4:03Speaker 2: doors off, and then here comes Josh Allen. The Buffalo
- 4:06Speaker 2: Bill's thirty five thirty one. What was your takeaway?
- 4:09Speaker 1: Well, they didn't panic number one, you know, they got
- 4:12Speaker 1: the touchdown before the end of the half to make
- 4:14Speaker 1: it twenty one seven, you know, and then they just
- 4:16Speaker 1: kept chipping away and Josh Allen, you know, he's just
- 4:21Speaker 1: he's you know, I saw Mike Brabel, you know, somebody
- 4:24Speaker 1: asked him about Josh Allen in the post game, and
- 4:27Speaker 1: he just put his head in his hands and he's like,
- 4:29Speaker 1: you watch the games like you just have to watch them,
- 4:32Speaker 1: Like there's just nobody else like him. You did a
- 4:34Speaker 1: first down, he ran eight, really eight times. He had
- 4:36Speaker 1: a couple of meal downs, but he really ran eight times,
- 4:39Speaker 1: you know, and four of them were first first downs.
- 4:42Speaker 1: And there's really nothing anybody can do when he wants
- 4:45Speaker 1: to take off with it. And then the way that
- 4:47Speaker 1: he extends the plays. He made a touchdown throw to
- 4:50Speaker 1: Dawson Knox. I mean, New England can't play a better defense.
- 4:54Speaker 1: They're two deep, five hundred, They've shrunk every zone there is,
- 4:57Speaker 1: and the line does a pretty good job at the
- 4:59Speaker 1: front four and Josh just gets outside the pocket and
- 5:02Speaker 1: then he just just put that bazook up on his
- 5:05Speaker 1: shoulder just to Dawson Knox. Man like the defense didn't
- 5:08Speaker 1: have a chance to react to it.
- 5:10Speaker 2: You know what the offense reminded me of when I
- 5:12Speaker 2: was watching it is it reminded me of kind of
- 5:14Speaker 2: the Christian McCaffrey Stanford teams a little bit, where you know,
- 5:19Speaker 2: with Andrew Luck being the quarterback, you know, I know,
- 5:22Speaker 2: the kind of timelines were different. But because you got
- 5:25Speaker 2: all these tight ends out there. Now you've got a
- 5:28Speaker 2: back who's shifty, who can insert anywhere you want with
- 5:31Speaker 2: them looks like they got a freaking parade up front
- 5:33Speaker 2: with everybody on the line of scrimmage. And then you've
- 5:35Speaker 2: got a quarterback who anytime he wants can go just
- 5:38Speaker 2: get yards. And then you know, you got a big
- 5:40Speaker 2: arm to be able to create some big plays. But
- 5:42Speaker 2: I was going through. One of the things I don't
- 5:44Speaker 2: know that we talk about a lot with Buffalo was
- 5:46Speaker 2: the offensive line.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Oh, no doubt they a couple of weeks they were.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Denting the interior that defensive line. Man, they were knocking
- 5:55Speaker 2: them off the ball a lot of like they do
- 5:57Speaker 2: a lot of stuff with their tackles, or they just
- 5:58Speaker 2: get the down blow. They just get the unload, you know,
- 6:01Speaker 2: these down blocks and just wiping dudes and creating some
- 6:04Speaker 2: big old creases there. So I was impressed with what
- 6:07Speaker 2: they did. I thought they completely reset the line of
- 6:09Speaker 2: scrimma in that game. Even when they're down, they just
- 6:11Speaker 2: stayed with the run.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Now, they stayed with the run, and it was I
- 6:15Speaker 1: posted a video of James Cook because he's you know,
- 6:18Speaker 1: he's like literally twenty something yards behind Jonathan Taylor for
- 6:22Speaker 1: the league lead right now in rushing. So he has
- 6:26Speaker 1: back to back runs and the second run takes the
- 6:28Speaker 1: lead final touchdown the day, thirty five thirty one. But
- 6:32Speaker 1: he has a run before that. He goes eleven yards
- 6:35Speaker 1: up the middle, he comes to like a double stop,
- 6:38Speaker 1: like he stops and he hops and he puts everybody
- 6:41Speaker 1: in a freeze, and then he exploded for eleven, and
- 6:44Speaker 1: then the next one, the very next play from the twelfth,
- 6:46Speaker 1: he just smoked it. He just smoked it like he
- 6:49Speaker 1: saw it right away, and you just see like that
- 6:52Speaker 1: burst of what he has and all the different ways
- 6:56Speaker 1: that he can kind of beat you. He had three
- 6:58Speaker 1: touchdowns yesterday called a pass or touchdowns, So like when
- 7:01Speaker 1: he's rolling like that, that really gives that offense. Uh,
- 7:05Speaker 1: it's really kind of difficult to stop. It is tight
- 7:08Speaker 1: end based a Dawson Knox. Even Jackson Halls is a
- 7:12Speaker 1: great blocker. You know, caught a couple of key passes yesterday,
- 7:15Speaker 1: But I didn't see any panic in a team down
- 7:17Speaker 1: twenty one.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Nothing.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I got to ask you about Trevon Henderson.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Though, I've got a note for you on that one.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Okay, So right now, he's got five touchdowns of fifty
- 7:26Speaker 1: yards of more dj yep. Last year, Saquon had seven,
- 7:29Speaker 1: which helped him get to two thousand. But when he
- 7:33Speaker 1: came out there was Quinn, Shawn and him, you know,
- 7:35Speaker 1: it was a good it was a good back class. Right.
- 7:37Speaker 1: We're seeing all of them out there, whether it's Monong guy,
- 7:40Speaker 1: but we're seeing all the backs play. But did you
- 7:43Speaker 1: feel like he could do those kind of home run hitting.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Oh one thousand percent. I mean that was the whole.
- 7:48Speaker 2: That was the whole. That's what he did in college.
- 7:50Speaker 2: It was just explosive plays, man, a collection of explosive plays.
- 7:53Speaker 2: He was an excellent pass protector and he could catch
- 7:55Speaker 2: the ball. But I was watching that tape this morning
- 7:58Speaker 2: and I was looking at to me was the draw
- 8:02Speaker 2: you see him out run everybody, But then the one
- 8:04Speaker 2: where you run a toss and you redirect like that,
- 8:06Speaker 2: You know what it reminded me of. I don't know anybody
- 8:08Speaker 2: used it with him, but that Chris Johnson used to
- 8:10Speaker 2: do that all the time. Man, like Chris Johnson in
- 8:12Speaker 2: the NFL, and you see it even like on kickoff returns.
- 8:15Speaker 2: It'll drive you nuts because like, hey, you got to
- 8:16Speaker 2: get north and south. This is the NFL. You can't.
- 8:18Speaker 2: You're not gonna out run everybody a lot.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Yeah, when you.
- 8:20Speaker 2: See a toss in the NFL and a guy redirects
- 8:22Speaker 2: and out and boat races everybody like that doesn't happen.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Like Chris Johnson's did that all the time and it
- 8:27Speaker 2: looks so it just reminded me of that.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Even further. DJ I played with Eric Dickerson. I remember
- 8:32Speaker 1: we played in Cleveland on a Monday night one time,
- 8:34Speaker 1: Municipal stadium baseball field like baseball infield. It was just
- 8:38Speaker 1: ugly and he did one of those where he runs
- 8:41Speaker 1: up in the back of the line. We're not getting
- 8:43Speaker 1: any movement. He's you know, his feet don't stop, but
- 8:45Speaker 1: there was no place to go. And then he just
- 8:47Speaker 1: went out the back door and just outran the whole defense.
- 8:50Speaker 1: You know, dirt's kicking up off the you know, the infield. Uh.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And then just watch Drake May just to see his
- 8:55Speaker 1: speed getting out.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Was rolling and he ended up getting the block. He
- 8:59Speaker 2: was really you kind of see his breakaway speed because
- 9:02Speaker 2: over twenty miles per hour on the GPS would put out.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I wouldn't it doesn't, I don't, you know, it looked
- 9:09Speaker 1: like it. But you know, honestly, in some of his runs,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and obviously both touchdown runs, there is there is a
- 9:16Speaker 1: part of his game that does remind you of Josh.
- 9:18Speaker 1: And he's not as big, he's not as probably powerful,
- 9:22Speaker 1: but there is a part of him that when he
- 9:24Speaker 1: puts the ball down, he takes off like he's difficult
- 9:27Speaker 1: to stop.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think also with Josh I think if
- 9:30Speaker 2: you took you know, with Drake, if you put a
- 9:32Speaker 2: golf club in his hand, if put a basketball in
- 9:34Speaker 2: his hand, a baseball, like, he's going to be one
- 9:37Speaker 2: of the best athletes. You can just see the way
- 9:39Speaker 2: the way he plays obviously the brothers, in the basketball
- 9:41Speaker 2: background that he has. It's an athlete, man, he's and
- 9:44Speaker 2: it's rare, especially in the era where in now Baldy,
- 9:47Speaker 2: I think more so where these guys are. You know,
- 9:50Speaker 2: you've got the quarterback private quarterback coaches, and some of
- 9:53Speaker 2: these guys can become a little bit robotic.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Yep.
- 9:56Speaker 2: It stands out when you're like, oh no, this is
- 9:58Speaker 2: an athlete, man, you know, an old school athlete.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I thought at one point he scored a second touchdown
- 10:04Speaker 1: run and at one point I thought he was going
- 10:07Speaker 1: to go and dunk it, like it looked like he
- 10:09Speaker 1: was ready to take off, and instead he just you know,
- 10:12Speaker 1: he gave it to one of his guys to like,
- 10:14Speaker 1: you know, go pound it into the turf and spike it.
- 10:17Speaker 1: But I think he gave it to like, you know, uh,
- 10:19Speaker 1: you know, Jared Wilson or somebody to spike it. But
- 10:22Speaker 1: I honestly thought if he if he started jumping that
- 10:24Speaker 1: ball was going to get dunked over?
- 10:27Speaker 2: Who was And they did that when they and they
- 10:29Speaker 2: had to recalibrate the goal post.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Hanging on it, Yeah, hanging out the whole thing. Take
- 10:34Speaker 1: the God to take that out of the game because
- 10:36Speaker 1: too many guys that were going over that thing.
- 10:38Speaker 2: That's funny. All right, Let's let's get to the game
- 10:41Speaker 2: that we were at here, uh sixteen thirteen the Chargers
- 10:44Speaker 2: they ended up knocking off the Kansas City Chiefs, and
- 10:47Speaker 2: a lot of different ways we can go, but I'll
- 10:48Speaker 2: give you my key play of the game. Yeah, okay,
- 10:51Speaker 2: my key played to the game, bald. He was end
- 10:53Speaker 2: of the first half. It was the kickoff return by
- 10:55Speaker 2: Kim two yards, get some get some past the forty.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I think if they're inside the thirty, I think it
- 11:02Speaker 2: was only yeah, they might just want to get to
- 11:05Speaker 2: the half of it. Not everything had gone wrong. It
- 11:07Speaker 2: was like they knew they were going to get the
- 11:08Speaker 2: ball coming out in the third quarter. Hey, let's not
- 11:10Speaker 2: let's not turn it over, let's just get to the half.
- 11:12Speaker 2: But he gets a nice return and so that's the
- 11:14Speaker 2: that's the key play to me in the game. And
- 11:16Speaker 2: they hit Trey Harris on a go ball, and then
- 11:18Speaker 2: Candriy Lambertsmith ends up scoring a touchdowns. Not only do
- 11:20Speaker 2: they steal three, they actually steal seven. But that doesn't
- 11:23Speaker 2: happen if you don't get that kickoff return.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I agree with that, and uh, just the whole rookie
- 11:29Speaker 1: class for the Chargers. I mean, at one point it
- 11:31Speaker 1: was ca Andandrey Lambert Smith, Okay, touchdown, but another play
- 11:34Speaker 1: it was Trey Harris, it was Arondi Gadson, it was
- 11:36Speaker 1: a Marion Ampton. Like all those guys are out there
- 11:39Speaker 1: on the field and they're all making key plays at
- 11:42Speaker 1: some point, and some of them were like back to
- 11:43Speaker 1: back to back. I remember just being down the field
- 11:46Speaker 1: before the game after I saw you and I was
- 11:49Speaker 1: just kind of hanging out down and there was watching
- 11:51Speaker 1: the kickers. I go, this is going to be a
- 11:53Speaker 1: kicking game. There's no win. The grass is really good,
- 11:56Speaker 1: it's the sun's going to melt the ice. I just
- 11:59Speaker 1: felt like, you know, Camberon Dicker, you know what he
- 12:02Speaker 1: could do, and then you know on the other side, Butker,
- 12:04Speaker 1: I felt like it was going to be a field
- 12:05Speaker 1: goal game, and that's kind of what it became. And
- 12:09Speaker 1: even all the way to the end where the Chiefs
- 12:11Speaker 1: had plenty of chances to go down at least tie
- 12:13Speaker 1: it up. And you know, Durwin wait, you know, made
- 12:16Speaker 1: the play, you know, to play to close it all out.
- 12:18Speaker 1: But I felt like he ran that route better than Travis.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Kelsey ran that route like he's probably seen it so
- 12:23Speaker 1: many times in covering him over the years.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I imagine, you know, when these guys are sixty years
- 12:29Speaker 2: old and they're gonna see each other probably you know,
- 12:32Speaker 2: at the Hall of Fame, you know they're going to
- 12:34Speaker 2: go back there and just and be around it as
- 12:35Speaker 2: they're you know, Hall of famers and just be sitting
- 12:38Speaker 2: there talking. There's so many games between these teams that
- 12:40Speaker 2: have ended with that matchup, now several of them. Kelsey's
- 12:43Speaker 2: had walk off winners, no doubt, in that matchup a
- 12:46Speaker 2: couple of times. And now Derwin gets his his walk
- 12:49Speaker 2: off winner there. But what it's just, you know, at
- 12:51Speaker 2: some point time all day, it's like they're they're paying
- 12:53Speaker 2: us for this, like getting to watch two Hall of
- 12:55Speaker 2: Fame guys, no doubt, to go at it. And even
- 12:58Speaker 2: I'm calling the game and I'm telling you know, Kelsey
- 13:02Speaker 2: catches a couple of balls and zone and you get
- 13:03Speaker 2: to a Keith third down and I'm like, just Derwin's
- 13:05Speaker 2: got it. He's got to just match up with That's
- 13:10Speaker 2: what you knew, exactly what you got, you know, And
- 13:12Speaker 2: that's where I think. I think if Mahomes was not
- 13:14Speaker 2: was in not mensh you maybe Mahomes goes somewhere else.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, but minsh you didn't. And uh but man,
- 13:21Speaker 2: it was you know, it's interesting I wrote I did
- 13:24Speaker 2: some notes on Gads since I want to go back
- 13:25Speaker 2: and watch him. They leak him, which is great because
- 13:28Speaker 2: he's athletics, so he can give you some opportunities there,
- 13:32Speaker 2: contested catch winners. He's instinctive on scrambles. I mean, that's
- 13:35Speaker 2: become a skill, especially with some of the offensive line
- 13:39Speaker 2: issues they've had to tackle spots. Herbert's buying time and
- 13:42Speaker 2: moving around. You've got to have some instincts on a scramble.
- 13:44Speaker 2: So Gatson did a good job of that, and Trey
- 13:46Speaker 2: Harris the go ball at the end of the half
- 13:47Speaker 2: and then he can put you up on a slant.
- 13:49Speaker 2: He's gonna you know, we'll see as keenan kind of
- 13:52Speaker 2: you know, they're getting getting everything they can out of Keenan.
- 13:54Speaker 2: But when Keenan's time is done, you see, to me,
- 13:56Speaker 2: Trey Harris slides right in there.
- 13:58Speaker 1: For agreed, he's got to siy and he's got the movement. Yeah,
- 14:02Speaker 1: And I mean it's both those receivers I think are
- 14:05Speaker 1: going to be a you know, part of this offense
- 14:07Speaker 1: for quite a while. But I always I also thought,
- 14:10Speaker 1: you know, like obviously they threw Jefferson out for the
- 14:13Speaker 1: one hit, but he had another hit the way that
- 14:15Speaker 1: Derwin hit great, you know she rice like they were
- 14:18Speaker 1: just cracking some some pads yesterday. Like that's that's how
- 14:22Speaker 1: you go, and you knocked it. That's how you have
- 14:24Speaker 1: to knock the Chiefs out. You got to go let
- 14:26Speaker 1: them know. I just see the Chiefs making hits like that.
- 14:29Speaker 1: But I mean they they came from the secondary. I
- 14:31Speaker 1: know they were, you know, deep deep into the safety
- 14:35Speaker 1: position there there they run out of bodies just about.
- 14:37Speaker 1: But you know, Jefferson until the point where he got
- 14:40Speaker 1: you know, toss out of the game. And I guess
- 14:43Speaker 1: you can you know, debate that a little bit. But
- 14:45Speaker 1: at the same time, like like they thought they were
- 14:47Speaker 1: really cracking some heads in that game.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Yeah, they came out to be physical and aggressive and
- 14:51Speaker 2: it worked. And the other thing I would say is
- 14:53Speaker 2: the Chargers getting you know, really good player of the
- 14:55Speaker 2: redge guys. Bosa moves on and so I think some
- 14:58Speaker 2: people are kind of wondering what does that look like? Now?
- 15:00Speaker 2: You know Max a year older, is two y twoy
- 15:02Speaker 2: polow two ready for that next step? Well, he clearly is.
- 15:05Speaker 2: He's got twelve sacks. He's been awesome. And then Max
- 15:08Speaker 2: got like five and a half, but still you can't
- 15:09Speaker 2: move him. He had a key play on Mahomes get
- 15:11Speaker 2: a sack where he beat him to the corner. If
- 15:13Speaker 2: ma Holmes gets around him, it's a huge run. And
- 15:16Speaker 2: then always got seven sacks since the trade Baldy, he
- 15:19Speaker 2: doesn't have any in Baltimore.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Zero Well, I went up and talked to him before
- 15:23Speaker 1: the game because him and Tully were both working just
- 15:25Speaker 1: a pass rush moves and I just said how much
- 15:28Speaker 1: because you know, Chuck Smith really trained him in Baltimore
- 15:31Speaker 1: and he really liked oh way. You know, I know
- 15:33Speaker 1: he was stiff coming out of Penn State, didn't play much,
- 15:35Speaker 1: but he was really working with him on just turn
- 15:37Speaker 1: the corner and two hand swipes and some of the
- 15:40Speaker 1: things he said that you know, he's where he's at
- 15:44Speaker 1: right now because of Chuck Smith. Now I'm not taking
- 15:46Speaker 1: anything away from what the charges are doing, but I
- 15:48Speaker 1: felt like they spent three years really training him and
- 15:51Speaker 1: working and we're seeing that payoff right now. It takes,
- 15:54Speaker 1: it takes some time, but you know, you get you know,
- 15:56Speaker 1: you get twenty sacks out of those two guys, and
- 15:59Speaker 1: you know, I know, you know the organization, but I
- 16:02Speaker 1: mean Kleil is just the ultimate pro and everything that
- 16:04Speaker 1: he does, how he.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Came back quick from injury, you know, and he still
- 16:10Speaker 2: got all the power that he had coming out of Buffalo.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I was actually talking to Mike Devil about it because
- 16:15Speaker 1: he's he still conducts himself in a very humble manner,
- 16:20Speaker 1: you know. Like I just think maybe if you come
- 16:21Speaker 1: out of Florida and you're not a five star and
- 16:23Speaker 1: you got to go to the University of Buffalo to
- 16:25Speaker 1: go play and you have a big game against Ohio State,
- 16:28Speaker 1: that might help get you drafted. Like maybe you never
- 16:30Speaker 1: forget those routes, you know, like you got to go
- 16:32Speaker 1: play at the University of Buffalo and whether like we
- 16:34Speaker 1: saw yesterday, you know, for Florida kid that can't be
- 16:37Speaker 1: the most fun. But like, you know, I mean they
- 16:41Speaker 1: they drafted him, right, But here he is and whatever
- 16:45Speaker 1: year this is for him, man like, he's still producing.
- 16:48Speaker 2: No doubt. We need to get to the chiefs side
- 16:50Speaker 2: of this thing here before we take a pause. But look,
- 16:53Speaker 2: it didn't go well for him this year. I mean,
- 16:55Speaker 2: you have some injuries along the offensive line, but I
- 16:57Speaker 2: wouldn't necessarily say that was the death now to this team.
- 17:00Speaker 2: It didn't. It didn't look right when they had their
- 17:02Speaker 2: offensive line hole way.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I didn't feel like they had any They had no
- 17:06Speaker 1: ability to get explosive plays, did you. And when you
- 17:09Speaker 1: have an offensive line that's struggling and you commit a
- 17:11Speaker 1: lot of penalties, like it's just hard to really march
- 17:15Speaker 1: down the field in ten or twelve play drives. They're
- 17:18Speaker 1: not good enough running team to be able to like
- 17:20Speaker 1: bounce it up And so just came down to Mahomes
- 17:23Speaker 1: just trying to you know, make you know, splash plays,
- 17:27Speaker 1: and they just weren't good enough at it.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the kind of look Tray Smith not
- 17:32Speaker 2: being out there is a big part of that. He
- 17:33Speaker 2: helps their run game for sure, but they don't have
- 17:36Speaker 2: a big time back. There's nobody in that backfield that
- 17:39Speaker 2: makes you worry, you know, and so you're not getting
- 17:41Speaker 2: the explosives. So now teams are being able to put
- 17:44Speaker 2: a lid on you and they're not having to put
- 17:46Speaker 2: extra resource down there, and you still can't run the ball.
- 17:48Speaker 2: So I mean, it'll be just to see how they
- 17:50Speaker 2: try and revamp this thing in the off season. But
- 17:52Speaker 2: I do feel like they need a big time back,
- 17:54Speaker 2: you know, whether that's in free agency or whether that's
- 17:56Speaker 2: expending a resource in the draft, but they got to
- 17:58Speaker 2: get better there. In my opinion, I agree.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I agree with you.
- 18:01Speaker 2: All Right, let's say quick break, we'll come back knock
- 18:03Speaker 2: out some of these games, all right, Baldy. This was
- 18:09Speaker 2: a huge, one, big matchup green Bay and Denver. Green
- 18:12Speaker 2: Bay was in a pretty good spot early in this ballgame,
- 18:15Speaker 2: and Denver came back. Bow Knicks I thought it was
- 18:17Speaker 2: the best game of his NFL career. I thought he
- 18:19Speaker 2: played great, but a big win for Denver.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Well, it was twenty three to fourteen green Bay. They're
- 18:23Speaker 1: in the third quarter and they take that deep shot
- 18:25Speaker 1: to Watson that he got hurt on. They're certan like
- 18:28Speaker 1: it's just a perfect They kind of bracketed him to
- 18:30Speaker 1: begin with, and then the safety broke off and Sir
- 18:33Speaker 1: Tan was right where he needed to be, and he
- 18:35Speaker 1: just made this certain type play, I mean, just jumped
- 18:38Speaker 1: in front. It wasn't a bad throw by Jordan Love.
- 18:40Speaker 1: It was just a great play by Cirtain. I felt
- 18:42Speaker 1: like that was the turning point of the game right there.
- 18:45Speaker 1: End up taking that ball down and scoring scoring in
- 18:47Speaker 1: the next two drives to take control of the game.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Denver wasn't having to deal with Parsons at that point.
- 18:54Speaker 1: But bow Knicks like he's that class is really good.
- 18:59Speaker 1: It's really good. Caleb's doing what Bo's doing, what Jayden
- 19:01Speaker 1: did last year like it's but Bo Nick's like the
- 19:04Speaker 1: guy never ever looks tired. Like he's just one of
- 19:07Speaker 1: those guys that can just run around if he has to.
- 19:10Speaker 2: If you played behind, if you played behind the Auburn
- 19:12Speaker 2: offensive line, and he played behind before he transferred to Oregon,
- 19:15Speaker 2: you get you get really good shape, you get really
- 19:17Speaker 2: good stake running around like that.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I didn't I didn't get a chance to watch much
- 19:20Speaker 1: of that football, but I mean, it's it's really remarkable
- 19:25Speaker 1: what they're doing with him. And you know something really
- 19:28Speaker 1: looked like a number one corner yesterday. They really you know,
- 19:31Speaker 1: really used him in a way. But it's really we've
- 19:33Speaker 1: seen Troy Franklin step up right now, and you know,
- 19:36Speaker 1: I mean, I just feel like this is this is
- 19:38Speaker 1: gonna be a tough This is gonna be a tough
- 19:40Speaker 1: out for anybody in the AFC right now. The way
- 19:42Speaker 1: that they played that game yesterday, you know, I.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Was looking at it, and uh, you know, everybody had
- 19:47Speaker 2: said there was a lot of conversation when the draft
- 19:49Speaker 2: was taking place with bo Nix and Sean Payton, it
- 19:52Speaker 2: was that he's got his Drew Brees. And I remember
- 19:54Speaker 2: arguing at the time. I remember arguing at the time,
- 19:57Speaker 2: you did it, he might he leans a little more
- 20:00Speaker 2: towards Taysom Hill than maybe even towards Drew Brees. He's got.
- 20:03Speaker 2: You know, there's some of the breeze, like in terms
- 20:05Speaker 2: of the intelligence and the competitiveness, all all that kind
- 20:08Speaker 2: of stuff, but the athleticism and kind of just a
- 20:10Speaker 2: playmaking type guy Drew Drew is going to beat you
- 20:13Speaker 2: in the pocket on time and with like touch throws
- 20:17Speaker 2: like those layer throws, up and down throws, like when
- 20:20Speaker 2: you watch when you watch him. It is exact opposite.
- 20:23Speaker 2: You know what. Actually, remember when when Kaepernick had his
- 20:26Speaker 2: little run there where it was all drive throws like
- 20:29Speaker 2: Ferm firm drive throws, and then it was scramble around,
- 20:33Speaker 2: make something happen. Like it's kind of how he does
- 20:36Speaker 2: a lot of that stuff.
- 20:37Speaker 1: He gets to the top of his drop and if
- 20:38Speaker 1: the ball's not out of his hands, he's moving, yes,
- 20:42Speaker 1: but he makes good decisions. He doesn't get hit a lot,
- 20:47Speaker 1: and you know, he keeps plays alive. And so I
- 20:49Speaker 1: think everybody's learning how to play with them right now.
- 20:52Speaker 1: So that helps. And on the other side, I mean,
- 20:54Speaker 1: you look at Zach Allen yesterday, John Franklin Myers. I
- 20:58Speaker 1: mean it is they are eight deep on that defensive front.
- 21:01Speaker 1: They had ten quarterback hits between John Franken, Meyers and
- 21:05Speaker 1: Jack Allen yesterday, and they chase everything. Jordan Love is
- 21:09Speaker 1: very athletic trying to climb the pocket. Those guys, they
- 21:13Speaker 1: bumped them and hit them. You know, it didn't rough
- 21:15Speaker 1: them up at all, but like they they got to them.
- 21:18Speaker 1: They were around him that entire second half when they
- 21:20Speaker 1: had to try to throw the ball to get back
- 21:22Speaker 1: into the game.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Flip that over the other side. You know how many
- 21:25Speaker 2: times they hit Jordan Love in that game? Sorry? Sorry,
- 21:28Speaker 2: how many times they hit bo Nicks three times? No sacks,
- 21:32Speaker 2: three quarterback hits. Yeah, and a lot of that. Bo
- 21:34Speaker 2: Knicks moving around by the offensive line did a nice
- 21:36Speaker 2: job as well. They couldn't get to them. That was
- 21:38Speaker 2: a big part of that. But again it's just it's
- 21:40Speaker 2: go balls, drive balls, scrambles. That's what they've been doing there.
- 21:44Speaker 2: The positive, I'll be a positive on the Green Bay
- 21:45Speaker 2: side of things. Sometimes you know when you think, gosh,
- 21:48Speaker 2: maybe I was wrong about a player, and then you
- 21:51Speaker 2: watch something and you go, maybe maybe this dude just
- 21:53Speaker 2: needs to get some more opportunities. We get Matthew Golden
- 21:55Speaker 2: the ball a little bit three for fifty five in
- 21:58Speaker 2: this game. He looks explosive. He makes an unbelievable adjustment
- 22:02Speaker 2: down the field on outside ball, it's a little bit underthrown.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Then you see him on a dig and you can
- 22:08Speaker 2: see the burst and the juice. I'm like, Okay, I've
- 22:10Speaker 2: been disappointed with the production because he hadn't really done
- 22:13Speaker 2: a hole on the field.
- 22:14Speaker 1: He's not been playing no, so I don't know if
- 22:17Speaker 1: he was hurt inactive like I didn't know what it was,
- 22:19Speaker 1: but he like he had no production over the last
- 22:21Speaker 1: four or five weeks.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm watching that going, okay, no, no, it's in there.
- 22:24Speaker 2: He's got the ability, you know, and luck, let's be patient,
- 22:27Speaker 2: let's see, you know how long it takes. But I
- 22:30Speaker 2: still am not going to give up on that one.
- 22:31Speaker 2: I think he's got a chance to be a really
- 22:32Speaker 2: good player. I'm about to shoot out here Detroit and
- 22:35Speaker 2: the Rams. The Rams ended up holding on forty one
- 22:37Speaker 2: to thirty four. I'll give you a couple receiver thoughts here.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Watched amen Ra and Puka, which was fun in the game. Oh,
- 22:46Speaker 2: it's so fun to watch him play. Both those guys
- 22:49Speaker 2: are so fun.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I mean runners, the balls in the air, their ball,
- 22:52Speaker 1: the way the skinny posts am on.
- 22:55Speaker 2: A skinny post is it's so pretty, man, and the
- 22:58Speaker 2: ball the time they're tie I mean with their quarterbacks.
- 23:01Speaker 2: And this goes to your point I think you're making
- 23:03Speaker 2: here is that when you have talent and intelligence and
- 23:08Speaker 2: a quarterback and in a receiver like you get something special, man,
- 23:11Speaker 2: because they get on the same wavelength and they have eliteability.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Well, you know, you know, Detroit on the outside looking
- 23:18Speaker 1: in right now, I mean they got to They have
- 23:21Speaker 1: not stacked two wins together since October fifth, so two
- 23:25Speaker 1: and a half months. But if they do get on
- 23:27Speaker 1: any kind of role and they have the ability to
- 23:29Speaker 1: do it, that would be a fun matchup to see
- 23:32Speaker 1: in the postseason, because I feel like it's going to
- 23:35Speaker 1: be a shootout regardless no matter. I don't think the
- 23:38Speaker 1: Rams can really slow them down, like the way that
- 23:41Speaker 1: they attack and the way that they can protect. As
- 23:44Speaker 1: good as that front is with the Rams, they're still
- 23:46Speaker 1: good enough to give Jared GoF enough time to find
- 23:49Speaker 1: his receivers, whether it's Jamison. The one thing that was
- 23:52Speaker 1: really pretty alarming though, in what watching a game, is
- 23:55Speaker 1: how they shut Jamir Gibbs down, like he did not
- 23:58Speaker 1: get loose. I think the longest running he had was
- 24:01Speaker 1: maybe eight yards, And I think that's one thing I
- 24:03Speaker 1: think maybe Detroit was counting on, was to get Jami
- 24:06Speaker 1: or like just popping them in some of those runs
- 24:08Speaker 1: ways capable of doing it.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Well, I think they were They're gonna try and take
- 24:12Speaker 2: that away, and they were going to live with whatever
- 24:14Speaker 2: danger came in the past game. And look they they
- 24:18Speaker 2: made plays. Golf made big throws. Amara was great. Cooka
- 24:21Speaker 2: on the other side, drive routes, double moves. He have
- 24:25Speaker 2: you seen anybody that's more comfortable working in the middle
- 24:27Speaker 2: of the field that he needs right now? I mean
- 24:29Speaker 2: he does.
- 24:30Speaker 1: He can play in that era when the safeties were
- 24:33Speaker 1: just unloading on people like he didn't probably play. He
- 24:37Speaker 1: could just play. But like his hands, like he just
- 24:40Speaker 1: he gets his hands on a ball, It doesn't matter
- 24:42Speaker 1: what the defender is doing. He's coming up with the ball.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Like every fifty to fifty ball. It looks like he
- 24:48Speaker 1: comes up with it and it makes it look like
- 24:50Speaker 1: it's been his all along, like there is no you know,
- 24:54Speaker 1: there is no defender, you know, amiek Robertson, whoever's trying
- 24:57Speaker 1: to cover him, there is. They're not getting it. He's
- 25:00Speaker 1: taking it away.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Let me ask you about this is an aggressive comparison,
- 25:04Speaker 2: But I know you have been around this player. You
- 25:07Speaker 2: see any at all of Chris Carter and Poka Nakua, Yeah, yeah,
- 25:12Speaker 2: I mean Carter had.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Had the big he had huge hands and a lot
- 25:18Speaker 1: of one handy catches, but and he didn't have Pooka
- 25:21Speaker 1: might like Chris really couldn't run very good. He didn't
- 25:26Speaker 1: need to. But like Pooka, like that was the knock.
- 25:29Speaker 1: But there's there's some comparison there because they're gonna come up,
- 25:33Speaker 1: They're gonna come up with the ball. They're just gonna
- 25:35Speaker 1: out physically for the ball. The other part is just
- 25:38Speaker 1: the production of the ram tight ends, all of them.
- 25:42Speaker 1: You know, it doesn't matter if it's Parkinson in the
- 25:44Speaker 1: year that he's having, or Higbee or you know, Allen
- 25:48Speaker 1: or the rookie Ferguson. Like they get more out of
- 25:51Speaker 1: their tight ends I think than any other team right now.
- 25:54Speaker 1: And in the run game too, like they're really responsible
- 25:57Speaker 1: for blocking the edges and you know, just getting no
- 25:59Speaker 1: safety he's out of the hole, and the nosy safeties
- 26:02Speaker 1: that are trying to stop you run like they do
- 26:04Speaker 1: a good job of getting a guy on.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Them, and no doubt, let's get it. Let's just get
- 26:08Speaker 2: a couple thoughts here on a few more games and
- 26:11Speaker 2: we can roll through these ball your Philip Rivers takeaway Seattle,
- 26:14Speaker 2: they come back and win a crazy game eighteen to sixteen.
- 26:18Speaker 2: What was your takeaway on old man Rivers out there?
- 26:21Speaker 1: You know he didn't embarrass himself, you know, I mean,
- 26:23Speaker 1: you know, I mean it's that's kind of what like
- 26:25Speaker 1: they could have probably played that game. They held in
- 26:28Speaker 1: the six field goals. The colch defense did what they
- 26:31Speaker 1: had to do. I don't think you could have asked
- 26:33Speaker 1: for a whole lot more and for what you asked
- 26:36Speaker 1: of him to do. And so he threw the ball,
- 26:39Speaker 1: you know to some guys, he's probably never thrown to
- 26:41Speaker 1: except for Thursday or Friday practice and Josh downs and
- 26:44Speaker 1: Ty Warren. You know, he made a couple of throws
- 26:47Speaker 1: that kept him in the game, and I thought it
- 26:49Speaker 1: was going to be a lot worse for him than
- 26:51Speaker 1: it was.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I joked around, you know about the
- 26:55Speaker 2: amount of screens that you might see in this game.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I mean, they do mess it off, dusted off. You
- 27:00Speaker 2: get to get the we get some angle routes. We're
- 27:02Speaker 2: gonna ge whip, you know, mix in a couple of
- 27:04Speaker 2: those with the backs. Get some quition. You're gonna get
- 27:06Speaker 2: the tight ends out early, get them the ball. It
- 27:08Speaker 2: was just kind of a game of keepaway. Uh. Yeah,
- 27:11Speaker 2: they were playing. They weren't able. I mean that's a
- 27:13Speaker 2: great defense. They weren't able to pop the runs. I
- 27:15Speaker 2: think they really would have had to have you unbelievable
- 27:17Speaker 2: run game performance to get a win there. Yeah, he
- 27:20Speaker 2: made just enough plays, made a back shoulder throw there
- 27:22Speaker 2: to give him a field goal opportunity, and the and
- 27:25Speaker 2: the defense you know, couldn't couldn't hold on. But Seattle's
- 27:29Speaker 2: kind of I mean, they've got this Thursday night game, Baldy,
- 27:31Speaker 2: I mean they've got a chance to win this division.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Get there.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I mean, you're going to come down to this game
- 27:36Speaker 1: for the most part, and you don't know what that
- 27:38Speaker 1: defense is capable of doing, just because that secondary is
- 27:42Speaker 1: so talented, and the way that they can blitz and pressure,
- 27:45Speaker 1: Like if you get to Stafford, you put them down
- 27:48Speaker 1: or you force a couple of pop ups, and there's
- 27:50Speaker 1: no Dvante out there. You won't be out there like
- 27:53Speaker 1: you can. I can see Witherspoon being on Nikua, you know,
- 27:56Speaker 1: and then or you know, you could, you could train,
- 27:58Speaker 1: you can, you can change it up, like I They've
- 28:01Speaker 1: got they've got real chess pieces for the title. I
- 28:05Speaker 1: think some real chess pieces to really limit some of
- 28:09Speaker 1: the receivers in some of the passing game. The guy
- 28:11Speaker 1: that's really come on over the last month for the
- 28:13Speaker 1: Ramsow has been Koram and they really have a good
- 28:16Speaker 1: one to two punch there, so we'll see. And they
- 28:18Speaker 1: in Seattle's run defense like those horses up front.
- 28:22Speaker 2: They final that's fun to watch that, all right, Jets, Jags.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Jets has fired their defensive coordinator, Steve Wilks. I don't
- 28:29Speaker 2: really need to get into the Jets. But how about
- 28:30Speaker 2: the Jags forty eight to twenty. I saw I was
- 28:33Speaker 2: there for the rebirth of that franchise when the Chargers
- 28:36Speaker 2: came in there after the buy and then they just
- 28:38Speaker 2: went to town and they have not slowed down since then.
- 28:40Speaker 2: They are on a roll as much as anybody right now.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Have you when was the last time DJ you saw
- 28:45Speaker 1: a running back catch three touchdown passes?
- 28:48Speaker 2: I can't think of one.
- 28:49Speaker 1: I mean, I couldn't think of it.
- 28:51Speaker 2: I was going Larry, Larry Centers. I guarantee Larry Centers
- 28:54Speaker 2: has done that at some point in time.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I know we had one hundred catches one year. Maybe
- 28:57Speaker 1: maybe he did it, maybe LT did it in some game,
- 29:00Speaker 1: But I mean I was trying to just go through
- 29:02Speaker 1: my rolodecks. But he beat the Jets on three different
- 29:06Speaker 1: He beat him on a Texas route, he beat him
- 29:07Speaker 1: on a little switch route on the outside with Jacoby Myers,
- 29:12Speaker 1: you know, and then he beat him on a screen
- 29:15Speaker 1: where every single offensive lineman was forty yards downfield for
- 29:18Speaker 1: the touchdown to celebrate. I don't think Trevor could play
- 29:22Speaker 1: any better. I know you could. There's no way. And
- 29:25Speaker 1: I've got all the rosters here, DJ, There's no way
- 29:28Speaker 1: you could possibly know who was playing the secondary for
- 29:30Speaker 1: the Jets. Nobody. I didn't know who some of those
- 29:33Speaker 1: guys were. I'm so like, you know, it was a
- 29:35Speaker 1: preseason roster for the Jets defense. But the good part
- 29:39Speaker 1: is Jacksfield didn't They didn't waste any time. And that's
- 29:43Speaker 1: what they're doing with these bad teams. They're just putting
- 29:45Speaker 1: them away. They're not letting them even sniff the field
- 29:48Speaker 1: right now.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like, you know, when it's the night before trashy,
- 29:52Speaker 2: I tell my son, Hey, we don't need to wait
- 29:53Speaker 2: till midnight. It's four o'clock. In after him, get those
- 29:56Speaker 2: trash cans up to the curve. Man, They did not
- 29:58Speaker 2: mess around in that one last thought here Minnesota, Dallas. Man,
- 30:02Speaker 2: that's a crucial loss for the Cowboys and JJ McCarthy
- 30:05Speaker 2: had a nice performance after an early turnover.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Well, he has played really well the last last two games,
- 30:12Speaker 1: or maybe it was at three, I mean last two weeks.
- 30:14Speaker 1: He's looking like he's turning the corner. He's not turning
- 30:17Speaker 1: it over, he's not seeing goats, he's making good decisions
- 30:20Speaker 1: like he's kind of looking like the guy. Now. You know,
- 30:23Speaker 1: these games don't mean as much as they did earlier
- 30:26Speaker 1: in the season, so maybe, But you know, I thought
- 30:29Speaker 1: all the guys Bullert, greenerd and Andrew Van Ginkel and
- 30:33Speaker 1: all those guys gave Dak and the offense a great
- 30:36Speaker 1: deal of problems with the defense looked like it was
- 30:39Speaker 1: just a complete team effort right there and what they
- 30:41Speaker 1: were able to do. He didn't see much from Pickings
- 30:43Speaker 1: in that game. So I felt like Dallas after a
- 30:48Speaker 1: couple of weeks where they looked a little promising, like
- 30:50Speaker 1: they've just completely fallen off.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll be there to see him this next week.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Here Chargers go to take on the Cowboys in a
- 30:57Speaker 2: huge game for the Chargers and the Cowboys holding on
- 31:00Speaker 2: for dear life. Er. I think if Green Bay wins
- 31:02Speaker 2: one game, i think they're out. So they're not looking
- 31:05Speaker 2: great for the Cowboys in their postseason chances here. Hey, Baldy,
- 31:09Speaker 2: this was fun.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Man.
- 31:10Speaker 2: We'll get we got Bucky back with us next week
- 31:13Speaker 2: and do this all over again. But appreciate it was
- 31:15Speaker 2: great seeing you yesterday. By the way, thanks to you
- 31:17Speaker 2: you too. DJ.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I just got to tell you that I did waste
- 31:21Speaker 1: an hour of my time today watching the Eagles beat
- 31:23Speaker 1: the Raiders. That was the That's that's the worst team
- 31:26Speaker 1: I've seen a long time.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Well, they have sixty sixty something yards of total offense.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I mean they threw a couple of checkdowns, complete a
- 31:32Speaker 1: couple of checkdowns, but I mean, honestly, like to a man,
- 31:36Speaker 1: they don't know how to set it. I mean, it
- 31:37Speaker 1: was just bad football.
- 31:38Speaker 2: And so I talked to somebody with the Eagles during
- 31:41Speaker 2: the week and they were, you know, coming off a
- 31:42Speaker 2: disappointing loss of the charters and we just got it.
- 31:45Speaker 2: I'm like, what do you there's nothing to worry about it,
- 31:47Speaker 2: I don't think you guys. Well, here, you guys take
- 31:49Speaker 2: a week off and beat the Raiders.
- 31:50Speaker 1: They dost it off the Super Bowl playbook. They threw
- 31:53Speaker 1: it fifteen times and they ran it forty seven times,
- 31:56Speaker 1: you know, and they took the gas off the pedal
- 31:59Speaker 1: in the entire fourth or they could have scored fifty.
- 32:01Speaker 2: So yeah, eighty yards to seventy five. Baldi in that game.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I haven't seen anything that that one sided a long time.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember they used to do the thing in
- 32:12Speaker 2: the pregame when the Raiders were in Oakland. They would
- 32:15Speaker 2: put up that that old school video and I would say,
- 32:17Speaker 2: they're thirty one teams in the National Football League and
- 32:20Speaker 2: then there's the Oakland Raiders, and I was like, well, yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 2: kind of actually what it looked like, that's would have
- 32:26Speaker 2: looked like. Not a compliment. All right, man, for the best, buddy,
- 32:30Speaker 2: We'll see you next week.
- 32:31Speaker 1: You got DJ take care of me.
- 32:35Speaker 2: There goes Baldi. Always enjoy these Mondays. I hope you
- 32:38Speaker 2: guys enjoy them as well. We will see it tomorrow.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Right here on. Do the sticks
