- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 0:06Speaker 2: You're listening to the voice I said, come on now,
- 0:09Speaker 2: dig me the one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 0:12Speaker 2: radio show. Okay, Now, I'm gonna be really honest with
- 0:16Speaker 2: you this morning. I really don't know what to say.
- 0:22Speaker 2: I really don't. I was sitting here and I was
- 0:28Speaker 2: thinking what do I say today. I do know that
- 0:33Speaker 2: I want to be encouraging, uplifting and inspirational in some
- 0:39Speaker 2: way to affect somebody today. Oftentimes, these conversations that I
- 0:45Speaker 2: have in the morning, they're designed with me because I
- 0:51Speaker 2: needed myself y'all, to be honest with you.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I mean, you know.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Who makes the comedian laugh? I used to say all
- 1:00Speaker 2: the time. And even though what we talk about in
- 1:04Speaker 2: the morning is not a laughing matter, it kind of
- 1:07Speaker 2: like is who I am today? You know, I need
- 1:11Speaker 2: motivation in my life sometimes myself. I think when I
- 1:16Speaker 2: get in moments like this, I often resort back to
- 1:22Speaker 2: the same thing over and over and over. And when
- 1:26Speaker 2: I find myself in certain predicaments, I can always fall
- 1:32Speaker 2: back on the same thing over and over. So while
- 1:36Speaker 2: I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to say
- 1:38Speaker 2: to you. The one thing that I did do this
- 1:42Speaker 2: morning that I find to be very consistent in me
- 1:46Speaker 2: is that I find myself grateful. I'm ever grateful for
- 1:52Speaker 2: the things that God has done for me. I may
- 1:56Speaker 2: not always know what to say, but I know how
- 1:59Speaker 2: to say thanks you.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I do.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I know how to remember and reflect back on where
- 2:05Speaker 2: I come from.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I know how to.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Realize where all my blessings come from. I'm very very
- 2:15Speaker 2: conscious of my journey that I've been on, the one
- 2:21Speaker 2: that was from then until now.
- 2:24Speaker 1: That journey right there is it's been. It's been. It's been.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Uh it's been difficult, man, it really really has. I
- 2:32Speaker 2: ain't gonna lie to you me.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Becoming successful was very difficult.
- 2:41Speaker 2: But as hard as this is to say, I really
- 2:45Speaker 2: really mean this. I wouldn't change nothing about the trip
- 2:52Speaker 2: I've been on. Number one, because I can't change anything
- 2:59Speaker 2: about it. So I never lived my life in regret.
- 3:03Speaker 2: But the main thing is was I discovered along the
- 3:07Speaker 2: way now not doing the process when you're going through
- 3:12Speaker 2: rough moments that you can't hardly see the good in
- 3:14Speaker 2: it at the time. It's just rough for you and
- 3:17Speaker 2: it seems unexplainable, and oftentimes I thought it was unfair,
- 3:22Speaker 2: But as I am now, I needed every single thing
- 3:27Speaker 2: that happened to me, that happened to me to happen
- 3:31Speaker 2: to me.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I hope that makes sense to you.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I needed everything to happen in the exact order and
- 3:41Speaker 2: the exact way that it happened in order for me
- 3:45Speaker 2: to be the person that I've become. And that right there, man,
- 3:52Speaker 2: is just very comforting to me. Mister Jakes told me
- 3:57Speaker 2: one time, he said, the closer you get to God,
- 4:00Speaker 2: the more friendly you all become, the more He will
- 4:05Speaker 2: reveal to you are the how it comes and what
- 4:10Speaker 2: falls of a lot of things that's happened to you.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Because a lot of times what troubles us is we
- 4:15Speaker 2: just can't understand why we lost that love on back then.
- 4:19Speaker 2: We just can't understand why we didn't get what we
- 4:23Speaker 2: wanted back then. We just don't understand how come our
- 4:28Speaker 2: plan didn't work out and we had to fail so
- 4:30Speaker 2: miserably back then. We don't understand the answers to these things. Well,
- 4:36Speaker 2: the closer I've gotten to God, the more those explanations
- 4:39Speaker 2: have become crystal clear to me. And see, the one
- 4:43Speaker 2: thing that I came to the realization everybody is that
- 4:46Speaker 2: the things that was happening to me, they weren't really
- 4:50Speaker 2: all bad. They really wasn't that they didn't taste good
- 4:54Speaker 2: when it was happening. I didn't enjoy what I was
- 4:57Speaker 2: going through. But as I look back on them and
- 4:59Speaker 2: ref flecknow wasn't all bad. Some of those things were
- 5:02Speaker 2: so necessary for me to get the information because See,
- 5:05Speaker 2: I don't know about you, but I'm kind of hard
- 5:07Speaker 2: headed and stubborn. I said, I don't know about you,
- 5:11Speaker 2: but I'm kind of hard headed and stubborn. I kind
- 5:15Speaker 2: of like to think that I know something about some
- 5:19Speaker 2: things every now and then, and the things I am
- 5:22Speaker 2: convinced about. I don't really really care for people trying
- 5:26Speaker 2: to talk me off mine. So I can be stubborn
- 5:30Speaker 2: and hard headed. Sometimes God knows that about me. So
- 5:34Speaker 2: I think to get some of the messages crystal clear
- 5:37Speaker 2: through to me that I needed to learn, that was
- 5:39Speaker 2: this process I had to go through. That process was
- 5:42Speaker 2: my journey, It was my trip. It was my woe,
- 5:46Speaker 2: my pain. See, everybody got them different, it don't matter
- 5:49Speaker 2: what it is. Everybody got a woe, everybody got a pain,
- 5:53Speaker 2: everybody got a trial, everybody got some tribulations.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Everybody got some challenge. I don't care who you are.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Just quit looking at me thinking that I got it
- 6:01Speaker 2: going on, so tough man. But if Steve, yeah, it's
- 6:04Speaker 2: easy for you to say that, but you ain't here.
- 6:07Speaker 2: You don't know where ben, if you would stop hanging
- 6:11Speaker 2: yourself up on your past, worrying about your woes and
- 6:14Speaker 2: your troubles and the situation you in, and start praying
- 6:19Speaker 2: and start asking God.
- 6:20Speaker 1: To get you through it. See a lot of times
- 6:23Speaker 1: you messed it.
- 6:24Speaker 2: You messed a message up yourself because when you're going
- 6:26Speaker 2: through some stuff, you ask God to remove it and
- 6:29Speaker 2: take it away.
- 6:30Speaker 1: That ain't the lesson. You got to learn your lesson
- 6:33Speaker 1: Sometimes it's.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Got to be how to be strong, how to see
- 6:38Speaker 2: it through, how to bear under it, how to carry
- 6:43Speaker 2: that weight long distances for long periods of time. That's
- 6:47Speaker 2: how you get strong. The lesson is to make you stronger.
- 6:50Speaker 2: But to make you stronger, you got to carry the weight.
- 6:53Speaker 2: You can't get stronger you don't go to gym or
- 6:55Speaker 2: you gonna do something at your house to lift your
- 6:57Speaker 2: own body weight.
- 6:58Speaker 1: See a lot of people can't even do push ups.
- 7:04Speaker 2: They can't get down and in the course of a day,
- 7:07Speaker 2: give you a hundred push ups, because they ain't.
- 7:09Speaker 1: They ain't never tried it.
- 7:10Speaker 2: They boy it. They get you twenty and they shake
- 7:14Speaker 2: it so bad they stop. That's too much for me. Well,
- 7:16Speaker 2: let me tell you something. So I learned to quit
- 7:18Speaker 2: praying to take stuff away. My prayer became to give
- 7:22Speaker 2: me the strength to handle it. People oftentimes ask me,
- 7:24Speaker 2: how do you do all that you do in the
- 7:26Speaker 2: course of the day.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I don't really know. I just know I can because
- 7:33Speaker 1: I know God don't put more on you than you
- 7:35Speaker 1: can bath.
- 7:37Speaker 2: So when you ask me how you do all of
- 7:39Speaker 2: what you do in the course of the day, I
- 7:40Speaker 2: got God. God is good. He'll get you through whatever
- 7:45Speaker 2: it is you're going through. So when you trip it
- 7:47Speaker 2: and you don't know what to say, reflect and be
- 7:51Speaker 2: grateful for all you reflect on. Think about God's goodness
- 7:56Speaker 2: and watch what He do for you. That's the cold part.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Okay to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
