- 2:23Speaker 1: we do one or two per episode, depending on where
- 2:26Speaker 1: we're at on time. Everybody knows Papa Team six, Milk
- 2:28Speaker 1: Team six, all of our teams out there know we
- 2:31Speaker 1: try to keep every episode under an hour. So based
- 2:33Speaker 1: on where we're at with time, that is how many
- 2:36Speaker 1: voicemails we dive into, how many emails we dive into.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I have a fat stack of emails, just like sherm does.
- 2:43Speaker 1: We have a fat stack of emails, writing in on
- 2:44Speaker 1: your Valentine's Day stories, Valentine's Day, Shenanigan's coming up. We're
- 2:48Speaker 1: gonna go through probably at least five voicemails. But this
- 2:51Speaker 1: is a very much an audience centric episode. Today, we'll
- 2:54Speaker 1: talk about cracking a cole one. We'll have some stuff
- 2:56Speaker 1: at the top. Of course we will have of course
- 2:58Speaker 1: we'll have Dan Gable quotes.

- 3:10Speaker 1: the top.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And also we have a new sit in.
- 3:14Speaker 3: We have a substitute teacher.
- 3:15Speaker 1: This substitute teacher Jared Beamon, or as we like to
- 3:19Speaker 1: call him, Jared Demon. He is sitting in for Chef
- 3:23Speaker 1: for Chef Jack, your captain of Seman Team six. Jared
- 3:26Speaker 1: is also an ST sixer as well, always joined by
- 3:29Speaker 1: Deacon the back the funkal Uh, let's rip and have
- 3:33Speaker 1: a great show, boys.

- 4:00Speaker 3: k on Spotify.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Coming from the guy I thought we hit thirty thousand
- 4:03Speaker 1: on Spotify.
- 4:04Speaker 3: I would say I am the master of Spotify. I
- 4:07Speaker 3: know it well, I know it was have have we
- 4:09Speaker 3: got the ten k yet?
- 4:11Speaker 2: I think we were at nine and some change. We're
- 4:13Speaker 2: pretty dark, and I don't know if last.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Week when we were going through that episode that people
- 4:17Speaker 1: are just like, oh, we gotta get the boys.
- 4:19Speaker 2: We gotta get the guys.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Look good, we gotta get as close to thirty.
- 4:23Speaker 4: We have three hundred and forty thousand plays, so something
- 4:27Speaker 4: is correct there. We are currently at nine thousand, seven
- 4:30Speaker 4: hundred and ninety Spotify followers, so.
- 4:33Speaker 1: We need two hundred and ten more people listening to
- 4:37Speaker 1: this sode to just make sure that you are following

- 4:50Speaker 3: Ads.
- 4:51Speaker 1: You're gonna hear automated ads yep. Not the not our
- 4:54Speaker 1: Little Special boys, the ollipops. You're gonna be hearing also

- 5:06Speaker 3: it is too late for merch to arrive in time
- 5:09Speaker 3: for Valentine's Day. However, when you're watching this. However, we
- 5:13Speaker 3: do have our Valentine's Day merch at bwtv dot com.
- 5:18Speaker 3: We have our Milk Team six.
- 5:19Speaker 2: The shirt is beautiful.
- 5:20Speaker 1: The amount of comments I got last week in Super
- 5:22Speaker 1: Bowl Week for this Milk Team six. Honestly, right from
- 5:25Speaker 1: the jump, I walk in the airport in the security
- 5:27Speaker 1: the security guys like, oh, what's that head saying, I'm like,
- 5:30Speaker 1: Milk Team six. She's like, what's that meaning. I'm like, uh,
- 5:35Speaker 1: it's like a shout out to the moms. I have
- 5:37Speaker 1: a show. I would honestly, this is gonna be awkward
- 5:39Speaker 1: if I sit here and explain Milk Team six to
- 5:41Speaker 1: you right now. But it's mom a Team six. She
- 5:43Speaker 1: started laughing. She's like, all right, I'll have to get one.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I was like bwtv dot com, but right from the
- 5:47Speaker 1: start of Super Bowl Week, just comments about these hats.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I saw the bring the Juice Pod guy. I used
- 5:53Speaker 3: to make memes for him back there's shout out. But
- 5:57Speaker 3: I saw him ask you the milkcheck question. I was like,
- 6:00Speaker 3: I wonder if you thought that, like that was in
- 6:02Speaker 3: reference to a milk jack.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Who knows? O dudes were they they were?
- 6:06Speaker 3: They were?
- 6:07Speaker 2: They were a few drinks in when I was Oh
- 6:09Speaker 2: for sure, I could smell it on him.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Yeah, he's hit me up to go out with him
- 6:13Speaker 3: in Nashville before a decent time.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I can tell those some boys that get after, some
- 6:17Speaker 1: boys that get out of there, they love a good
- 6:19Speaker 1: white football player.
- 6:20Speaker 3: They throw down in fres now. Yeah, they throw down,
- 6:23Speaker 3: but he's good. Peeps, that's hilarious.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Good news are power came back on last Thursday.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Dude, that's wild.
- 6:31Speaker 1: On day eleven or twelve, so last week when I
- 6:33Speaker 1: took off, when we left on Monday for the Super Bowl, Yeah.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I see a tweet saying that.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Water pipe busted or something and there were two streets affected.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Our street was one of those two. So I sent
- 6:47Speaker 1: it to my wife and I'm like, hey, is everything
- 6:49Speaker 1: all right? She's like, I think so, but I'm not.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I'm not back at home right now. So she gives
- 6:53Speaker 1: me a text later like yeah, the water's out. But
- 6:56Speaker 1: that gout fixed in several hours. But again, just the
- 6:58Speaker 1: war of the ice storm came through Nashville. It was
- 7:01Speaker 1: like the internet, the.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Power was out eleven or twelve days. Uh.
- 7:05Speaker 1: The water, we had a small gas leak at one
- 7:08Speaker 1: point time that got fixed right away.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Nobody be concerned. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but the.
- 7:11Speaker 1: War now that word, it's sun shine outside. It's in
- 7:14Speaker 1: the sixty beautiful, beautiful outside.
- 7:17Speaker 3: We did we need to do some kind of reverse
- 7:19Speaker 3: curse because there's been a lot of people affect Jared
- 7:22Speaker 3: got hit with it, You got hit with a multitude
- 7:25Speaker 3: of things. Derek's car luck, it has just been die dude, dude,
- 7:30Speaker 3: we gotta do some kind of reverse curse.
- 7:32Speaker 1: So you got a lot of car trouble going on.
- 7:34Speaker 1: And have you been saying every time the birth of
- 7:36Speaker 1: those stories was I get to do this?
- 7:38Speaker 3: Well, I had the flat tire to get pizza forever ago.
- 7:40Speaker 4: I had the flat tire the other day on the
- 7:42Speaker 4: tire that I replaced with it got some version of
- 7:45Speaker 4: rire Da coming into work this morning, and combine that
- 7:48Speaker 4: family dog down no power.
- 7:50Speaker 3: It's it's been a year already. Yeah, and we're in February.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Get to February.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Get to get to twenty twenty six, the year of
- 7:57Speaker 1: get to good good.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Yeah, let'll tell you what some good moments.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I was having to have some real self talk with
- 8:04Speaker 1: myself because.
- 8:05Speaker 2: When I flew in back.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Back from the Super Bowl, wife and I going on
- 8:12Speaker 1: the fertility. So for everybody, I actually saw a rite
- 8:15Speaker 1: in where they refer to IVF the other starting an
- 8:17Speaker 1: IVF last week for our IVF transfer.
- 8:20Speaker 2: So we'll get into comments and emails here in a
- 8:21Speaker 2: little bit.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Yeah, wife and I are in the fertility journey right
- 8:25Speaker 3: now on the March for number three.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Knock on wood. It's all we're all hopeful about stuff.
- 8:30Speaker 1: But I had to fly back because boy had to
- 8:33Speaker 1: you know what I mean.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Yeah, you had to cash in. I had to prepare
- 8:36Speaker 3: a seed for a cup. Yeah, you just had to
- 8:39Speaker 3: cash I had to take a red eye on Friday,
- 8:41Speaker 3: had to lead because we had a form energy thing
- 8:43Speaker 3: the next day. And it was like, okay, it has
- 8:46Speaker 3: to be on Friday or Saturday. I'm like, we have
- 8:47Speaker 3: too many obligations on Friday. Would it work if I
- 8:50Speaker 3: come in Saturday morning? Like?
- 8:52Speaker 1: Yeah, if you can find a flight and so get
- 8:54Speaker 1: on a shout out kayak no free shoutouts.
- 8:57Speaker 2: But I'm kind of looking. I'm like, all right, what
- 8:58Speaker 2: flights can give me back?
- 8:59Speaker 1: And the only options were a red eye that took
- 9:01Speaker 1: off it at midnight West coast time.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Was that Pacific?
- 9:05Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Pacific time?
- 9:06Speaker 3: Pacific time.
- 9:08Speaker 1: So I take a red eye and there's a stop
- 9:11Speaker 1: in Houston. So stop off in Houston. About a three
- 9:14Speaker 1: hour flight or a little over three hours from San
- 9:16Speaker 1: Francisco to Houston.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Do you deboard it all?
- 9:19Speaker 5: Are you?
- 9:19Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:19Speaker 2: Get off the plane. Oh two hour layover?
- 9:22Speaker 3: Oh wow?
- 9:23Speaker 1: And then from Houston at like seven in the morning, Yes,
- 9:25Speaker 1: flying to Nashville. I probably landed in Nashville around nine thirty.
- 9:28Speaker 1: He went straight, you know what I mean? Yes, And uh,
- 9:32Speaker 1: the amount I slept was probably I got two and
- 9:34Speaker 1: a half hours in on the first leg, but the
- 9:36Speaker 1: second leg, I was I was just wired up.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I was kind of just ready to get whatever it was. Yeah,
- 9:41Speaker 2: but I'm going in.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I'm like, man, it's gonna be a long day, bro.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Two and a half hours of sleep on a plane.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna get home. Oh I forgot, I'm gonna get home,
- 9:50Speaker 1: and like, hopefly I can just find some time to
- 9:54Speaker 1: take a nap, but hey, two and a half hours sleep.
- 9:56Speaker 2: We gotta operate good.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Yeah, right when I land or as like everything gets done,
- 10:02Speaker 1: it's like, hey, let's go get breakfast. Charlie has one
- 10:04Speaker 1: of her best friends in town. Yes, she's awesome and
- 10:08Speaker 1: I'm fired up. She's in town.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Fired up.
- 10:10Speaker 1: She's in town with Chorro. Like their homies, like they
- 10:12Speaker 1: get to link up. They rarely get to maybe like
- 10:15Speaker 1: once a year they see each other. Yes, so I'm
- 10:17Speaker 1: happy for Yes. We go out and eat breakfast. It's
- 10:20Speaker 1: it's me, Charro, best friend, and our two kiddos, and
- 10:26Speaker 1: we're operating. I'm seeing the girls. We're hugging, loving on them.
- 10:28Speaker 1: It's been I've been gone for what five days? I
- 10:31Speaker 1: believe We're going yeah, Monday to Friday. So I'm fired
- 10:34Speaker 1: up to see the fam because I was itching to
- 10:35Speaker 1: get back home. And you go throughout the day and
- 10:39Speaker 1: then at the end of breakfast, she's like, hey, my wife,
- 10:42Speaker 1: would you want to just take the kids with you
- 10:44Speaker 1: home and then we can go out, Teddy and I
- 10:46Speaker 1: can go out and hit some hit some shopping or
- 10:48Speaker 1: just you know, do some girl stuff.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Look at my wife, I'm like, yeah, that's what you
- 10:54Speaker 3: want me to do? Yeah?
- 10:55Speaker 1: Hit her with one of those yeah. Fortunately, it's like, hey,
- 11:00Speaker 1: I'll take one of them. We gotta go back to
- 11:02Speaker 1: the house anyway, And I'm like, okay, good, we might
- 11:04Speaker 1: not go out right away, like all right, thank God,
- 11:06Speaker 1: Like maybe we're I'm thinking of my head, I'm trying
- 11:08Speaker 1: to do the math, like, okay, what time where really
- 11:10Speaker 1: c might get a little break because again, exhausted, and
- 11:12Speaker 1: I know the demon as a Semen team sixer, there's
- 11:17Speaker 1: like a subconscious scoreboard that's like there, even though you're
- 11:22Speaker 1: not trying to participate in play in the game, but
- 11:24Speaker 1: something's there of like I know, I am home and
- 11:27Speaker 1: I've been gone for a while. But again, when we
- 11:29Speaker 1: were at Super Bowl week, we're operating all day, like
- 11:32Speaker 1: not a lot of downtime, like I was on e
- 11:34Speaker 1: two hour and a half hours of sleep on the plane.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I'm thinking, you're hopeful that there's some empathy. You're hopeful
- 11:42Speaker 1: at any pocket in the day that there could be
- 11:44Speaker 1: some type of empathy. But also on my if I'm
- 11:47Speaker 1: playing my wife's side, it's you're hopeful on PT six
- 11:53Speaker 1: lands that it's PT six times. I've been with them
- 11:56Speaker 1: all week long, so now it's dat is turning to
- 11:59Speaker 1: step up to the plate.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I got you, I get that, and I'm on board.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Not that's it. You're just earning extra credit, extra credit.
- 12:06Speaker 3: That's extra credit, right right, right right.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I'm thinking this could be some extra credit who knows,
- 12:10Speaker 1: but either way, I know I got to operate for
- 12:12Speaker 1: a few hours. Ye like I know, I gotta do
- 12:14Speaker 1: my I gotta do my thing. Yeah yeah, And so
- 12:18Speaker 1: they take all my Yeah, you go have fun. I'm
- 12:20Speaker 1: ripping around with the kiddos, put Scottie down for a nap.
- 12:22Speaker 1: You know, I'm not doing the thing, like, hey, you
- 12:25Speaker 1: know what's eta or when you're coming back, I'm like,
- 12:27Speaker 1: you go have go do your thing. They probably get
- 12:29Speaker 1: back around maybe three thirty four o'clock, so they were
- 12:33Speaker 1: going so you know several probably four or five hours
- 12:36Speaker 1: they'll get doing their thing. But they get home, and
- 12:39Speaker 1: part of me is like, okay, thank god. Because Rue
- 12:41Speaker 1: and I were building a castle. Scotty was down for
- 12:44Speaker 1: a nap. Run and I were building castle in the
- 12:46Speaker 1: play area and I'm kind of like laying on my side.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I end up sliding a pillow underneath my head like
- 12:51Speaker 1: as I'm playing with it, like using my right arm
- 12:53Speaker 1: for sure, and I catch myself start to doze.
- 12:55Speaker 3: I'm like, man, I really need a nap. And I
- 12:57Speaker 3: was like, hey, would you want to go play? Would
- 13:00Speaker 3: you want to play a game?
- 13:01Speaker 1: And we can just play a game where dadad watches
- 13:03Speaker 1: you and you do it, maybe Dad can rest a
- 13:05Speaker 1: little bit. She's like, yeah, okay, Dad, Dad. She was
- 13:07Speaker 1: a sweetheart all day long, so fired up to see Dad.
- 13:11Speaker 1: So she plays this turtle game and I'm like, we
- 13:13Speaker 1: gotta roll the dice. She's like, that is you're telling, oh, sweetheart,
- 13:15Speaker 1: you gotta roll for Dad. You gotta roll for dadda.
- 13:18Speaker 3: In this game, you get to bed because remember, sweetie,
- 13:22Speaker 3: dad Ade wants to wrest a little bit, so I
- 13:23Speaker 3: might fall asleep.
- 13:24Speaker 2: And even if I fall asleep.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Still watch it.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Yeah, still watch it. Watch and you just do your thing.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Just if you want to go do something else or
- 13:31Speaker 1: go somewhere else, just make sure to wake that up.
- 13:34Speaker 1: So I'm dozing off and then I get to wear
- 13:37Speaker 1: she's playing this turtle.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Game, so you gotta fill it up of water.
- 13:41Speaker 1: That we couldn't find the dice because again all the moving,
- 13:43Speaker 1: like there was a box, we couldn't find the dice.
- 13:45Speaker 1: So I just got I found a little roller or
- 13:47Speaker 1: some little cube. But I'm like, you just gotta pretend.
- 13:50Speaker 1: You's gotta pretend she rolls it. You say whatever number
- 13:52Speaker 1: you wanted to say, and you can move or fill
- 13:53Speaker 1: it up.
- 13:54Speaker 2: This many times.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Isn't this fun? Bro? Yeah? Yeah, it's fun.
- 13:58Speaker 2: She starts playing.
- 13:59Speaker 3: I end up kicking back on the couch and I
- 14:02Speaker 3: just started taking a little nap.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I probably slept maybe fifteen minutes. Yeah, But she ends
- 14:06Speaker 1: up waking me up. She's like, da wakes me up.
- 14:08Speaker 1: She's like, look, and I kind of looked. I was like, oh,
- 14:11Speaker 1: what happened to the games? She goes, I cleaned it
- 14:13Speaker 1: all up. I was like, how was the game? She's
- 14:16Speaker 1: like it was fun. She's like, but you were sleeping,
- 14:18Speaker 1: So I wanted to clean it all up and put
- 14:19Speaker 1: everything back where it was, And I was like, dude,
- 14:21Speaker 1: you are.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Such a rock star.
- 14:23Speaker 3: She's the best.
- 14:25Speaker 2: So we go downstairs.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Wife ends up coming home and part of me is like,
- 14:30Speaker 1: all right, a little bit of help, get a little bit.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Maybe we'll tagged him and saying hey, sweetheart, I miss
- 14:33Speaker 1: you too. Would love to see you, know you being
- 14:37Speaker 1: at home? Like it is nice to say. Are we
- 14:38Speaker 1: all hanging out at the house? What are we doing?
- 14:40Speaker 1: And we're going to be three on two here with
- 14:41Speaker 1: the kiddos, And then Charles starts like Teddy goes. Teddy
- 14:45Speaker 1: goes back to the room. The guest room, and then
- 14:48Speaker 1: Charles starts. She's in the bathroom. I'm like, what's going on.
- 14:51Speaker 1: She's like, oh, we got to get ready for dinner.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I was like, hey, just give him a my guys,
- 15:00Speaker 3: because he's just he's getting ready really quick.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Dinner.
- 15:07Speaker 3: What do you mean, where's our resume? We got reservations.
- 15:11Speaker 3: She's like, I told you that.
- 15:13Speaker 1: You told me that resy for five right, yeah, yeah,
- 15:18Speaker 1: we're all coming. Yeah yeah, oh sweet, I don't know
- 15:21Speaker 1: if I want I don't know if I want to
- 15:22Speaker 1: go to dinner. Oh no, no, no, it's just me and
- 15:24Speaker 1: me and Teddy. Oh you're going to dinner all the times.
- 15:27Speaker 1: The reservation she was like eight thirty and I'm like, what,
- 15:32Speaker 1: it's five o'clock. Oh we were going to go to
- 15:35Speaker 1: a spot and get some cocktail. Of course, well deserved, well.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Deserved.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Love my wife. She using, yeah, that was going for
- 15:45Speaker 2: five days.
- 15:47Speaker 3: I get it. She needs a break, she needs a break,
- 15:49Speaker 3: she needs a break. That is your credit, extra credit,
- 15:52Speaker 3: two and a half hours of.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Sleep, long week, that had a long week. It's it's
- 15:59Speaker 1: it's five o'clock. Is five thirty. She's like, yeah, we're
- 16:01Speaker 1: gonna go get cocktails and stuff. I was like, oh,
- 16:04Speaker 1: all right, cool, I mean at the bedtime. She's like, yeah,
- 16:08Speaker 1: with the bedtimes the last five nights. Oh yeah, yeah, no, no, no,
- 16:11Speaker 1: I get that. But y'all a coming back until you
- 16:14Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like you hear him out there,
- 16:17Speaker 1: like Scott, he's down on Mama's leg like screaming, and
- 16:19Speaker 1: you know, because mom's home, like screaming to get picked up,
- 16:22Speaker 1: like you see these hoodlums.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Dude, let me pull up the menu. Maybe you can
- 16:25Speaker 3: bring home some takeout. Yeah, yeah, I'll get the short rip.
- 16:29Speaker 1: She's like, yeah, we're gonna we're gonna go out and
- 16:32Speaker 1: get dinner, cocktails, dinner, okay, lovely. And so they leave,
- 16:37Speaker 1: they get an uber you guys, drive safely, have a
- 16:39Speaker 1: couple of drinks, come back, you know, get a little
- 16:42Speaker 1: have a little fun, get a little excited. And I'm
- 16:46Speaker 1: just I'm now at the house with both of these kids,
- 16:51Speaker 1: and not that I'm not not that I can't just
- 16:54Speaker 1: throw on the PT six at and tell myself good
- 16:57Speaker 1: they left.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Of course, door shuts, I walk over the or lock it. Good.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Yeah it's us. Now you probably went and put on
- 17:05Speaker 3: the good shirt and good hat.
- 17:06Speaker 2: That well, self talk had.
- 17:09Speaker 3: To be at a premium with positivity because again I'm
- 17:14Speaker 3: operating very low.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I watched the kids that night. It all
- 17:19Speaker 2: went well.
- 17:20Speaker 3: How we're tuckins? Did they? They went? Well?
- 17:23Speaker 2: Let me think.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Because that that is just the Scott.
- 17:28Speaker 2: He's in a new vibe right now. She's in a
- 17:29Speaker 2: new little wave.
- 17:31Speaker 1: She's now like she gets restless when I'm trying to
- 17:33Speaker 1: put her down to where she'll hit a little bit
- 17:35Speaker 1: of the bottle. She wants to read a book, but
- 17:37Speaker 1: she doesn't want to read the book she wants me
- 17:38Speaker 1: to grab. There's a pile of books on the night
- 17:41Speaker 1: stand like this hole, this hall. I grab one, open
- 17:44Speaker 1: it might read the first page and she tries to
- 17:47Speaker 1: take and pull it and she's like, eh, you wants
- 17:49Speaker 1: me to read a different book. I'm like okay, so
- 17:51Speaker 1: I put that one down on the ground. I'm like, okay,
- 17:52Speaker 1: I'm going to hide these from hers so she can't
- 17:53Speaker 1: see the stack of books anymore. We go through the
- 17:56Speaker 1: entire slot of books and I'm like, yo, drink your milk, dude, like,
- 17:59Speaker 1: let's let's go. Usually she drinks the milk, falls asleep.
- 18:02Speaker 1: We read a book or two, but she's in a
- 18:04Speaker 1: different she's on a different wave to where she's restless.
- 18:08Speaker 1: She's like squirming, she wants to get down, so I
- 18:10Speaker 1: like put her on the ground. I'm like, go do
- 18:11Speaker 1: whatever you're trying to do. She walks over to the
- 18:12Speaker 1: bookshelf to grab another book. She usually like one of
- 18:15Speaker 1: those finger pop up books, like you know, you know
- 18:17Speaker 1: I can. It's a square little finger puppy. Put the
- 18:21Speaker 1: little finger puppet in the little rabbit and she's gotta,
- 18:24Speaker 1: you know, laugh and go into the rabbit every time
- 18:26Speaker 1: I to the page. Yeah, she was, you know again,
- 18:31Speaker 1: she's growing. Five days gone feels like a year. You
- 18:34Speaker 1: feel like Ru's, R's and L's are getting better. When
- 18:36Speaker 1: you get back home the way she's talking to you
- 18:38Speaker 1: on the phone, and get back home, listen to her conversations.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Scotty's doing her own little thing again. She's just a
- 18:42Speaker 1: minace at all times, really having to. I had to
- 18:45Speaker 1: get tight with her a couple times because she just
- 18:49Speaker 1: pulls Ruth's hair. Oh yeah, she gets mad at Rue.
- 18:51Speaker 1: It's it's getting to where it's not as funny anymore.
- 18:55Speaker 1: And I'm like, hey, buddy, like you're kind of a bully.
- 18:58Speaker 3: It was cute at first. Yeah, but we gotta we
- 19:01Speaker 3: gotta keep the bulldog mentality for the playing fields. We
- 19:03Speaker 3: gotta channel it'll have an entire grip. Just like pulling
- 19:07Speaker 3: her hair.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I'm like, Scotty, stop no grabbing her hand, grabbing Rufe's hair,
- 19:12Speaker 1: to like not grab Scotty, pull it or pull it away,
- 19:14Speaker 1: grabbing Roof's hair, grabbing Scotty's arm, trying to like separate
- 19:17Speaker 1: him and Russ. So like ruthe sweet to her most
- 19:21Speaker 1: of the time. Like if it's like guarding toys, that's
- 19:23Speaker 1: where it's like, I don't want Scotty to play with me. Yeah,
- 19:25Speaker 1: type of thing. But Scotty's just is she.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Still doing a good job of restraining herself real?
- 19:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, it's mostly emotion. She's gonna upset cries,
- 19:34Speaker 1: oh for sure.
- 19:36Speaker 3: But how how was that? The next morning? Was everything good? Yeah?
- 19:41Speaker 1: I probably fell asleep probably around ten. I got a
- 19:45Speaker 1: good nine hours in good good. I was a sleepy boy.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Bro.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I popped open some uh for whatever reason, I couldn't
- 19:52Speaker 1: just like bring myself to go to bed. After I
- 19:54Speaker 1: put the kids down, I was like, if they're out
- 19:57Speaker 1: having a couple of drinks, like Caleb Presley hit me
- 20:00Speaker 1: up not too long ago when I was thinking about
- 20:01Speaker 1: his chicken cheetah.
- 20:02Speaker 3: So I'm like, I'm gonna go get some some of
- 20:03Speaker 3: that peanut butter tequila.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Yes, because I was like organizing the whiskey shelf and
- 20:08Speaker 1: everything the whiskey shells in the house. I was like,
- 20:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna go drink me some uh some peanut butter tequila.
- 20:14Speaker 1: And I was like, this is gonna kill my sleep.
- 20:16Speaker 1: But you know what, fuck it, dude, Dad, I wants
- 20:19Speaker 1: a little bit of it.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Dad.
- 20:20Speaker 1: I wants to sip a little something, a little juice,
- 20:22Speaker 1: and who knows, we might be hitting the shockwave with mom. Yeah,
- 20:26Speaker 1: that didn't happen.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Why you break a peanut butter in tequila? What are
- 20:31Speaker 3: you doing? Wife?
- 20:32Speaker 2: Oh man, I'm exhausted. I'm just laying there with my
- 20:35Speaker 2: face a.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Little numb, thinking, God, I just gotta I gotta get
- 20:38Speaker 1: something going.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Didn't happen? Just we just you look beautiful to night?
- 20:43Speaker 3: You look good? Did you eat a peebe?
- 20:47Speaker 2: And Jay?
- 20:50Speaker 3: I love you, babe. I had a massive dad loss
- 20:55Speaker 3: that I just remembered halfway through your story. By the way, Matt,
- 20:59Speaker 3: maybe maybe my biggest to date. I will get reamed
- 21:03Speaker 3: in the comments.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Yeah, well, how you also have the greatest dad game
- 21:09Speaker 1: dad hack oh date that you will be talking about eventually.
- 21:13Speaker 3: I do have that too, so I really quickly the
- 21:17Speaker 3: dad loss. I'm gonna get reamed in the comments. But
- 21:20Speaker 3: here we go. Uh, Jill thought that my mom was
- 21:24Speaker 3: coming in town this week. That goes into my dad hack.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Uh. And in preparation of her thinking that my mom
- 21:30Speaker 3: was coming in town, we are deep cleaning the house,
- 21:34Speaker 3: which includes all of our Amazon boxes that I love
- 21:37Speaker 3: when my wife orders stuff on Amazon, and well, it's
- 21:41Speaker 3: honestly a lot of fun. We'll put all the boxes
- 21:44Speaker 3: by the back door, by the trash cans, and we
- 21:46Speaker 3: pile we try to pile them as high as we can.
- 21:50Speaker 3: And then where I come in is I then we'll
- 21:53Speaker 3: take the boxes. I'll go like rip them and tear
- 21:55Speaker 3: them up and put them in our trash bin. But
- 21:57Speaker 3: we didn't have any room in the trash bin. So
- 22:00Speaker 3: then my plan B is one time I asked Gee
- 22:03Speaker 3: if I could throw stuff away in our dumpster here
- 22:06Speaker 3: and he was like yeah, if it's empty, and I
- 22:07Speaker 3: was like, okay, I'll go check the dumpster at Bustin
- 22:11Speaker 3: as I'm leaving the dumpster or leaving to go to
- 22:13Speaker 3: the dumpster, Jill's also like, can you pick up dinner?
- 22:16Speaker 3: And she's hungry, so she wants food. Fat Bear's hung
- 22:19Speaker 3: Mama Bear is hungry, yes, and she's like, go get
- 22:28Speaker 3: the burritos, shout out Baha burrito, and get back asap.
- 22:32Speaker 3: So when I get here and I see three Christmas
- 22:35Speaker 3: trees and our dumpster, I'm like, Okay, our boxes aren't
- 22:38Speaker 3: fitting in there, but there's an industrial complex around here.
- 22:42Speaker 3: I'll just go find a random dumpster.
- 22:45Speaker 2: How fun is that?
- 22:47Speaker 3: It's so much fun? And I do it all the time,
- 22:49Speaker 3: And that's the part that I feel like I'm gonna
- 22:50Speaker 3: get reamed in the comments.
- 22:52Speaker 2: But I just because use random dumpsters.
- 22:54Speaker 3: I fucking love throwing boxes and random dumpsters. Dude, I
- 22:58Speaker 3: love it, Dude.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I think there is a an adrenaline rush's pt sixers.
- 23:05Speaker 1: They go out because it was we had a similar
- 23:07Speaker 1: situation to where a wife you wanted the boxes gone.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Of course, dads are hall of famers when it comes
- 23:13Speaker 1: to breaking down or getting rid of boxes. And you
- 23:18Speaker 1: go around and you kind of feel a little nervous.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Is everybody around? I go up to a school.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Oh, buy a local school thereby late at night.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Oh, the middle school.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Let's drive around the intermediate even better because.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I go to the high school, like, Okay, it's a
- 23:34Speaker 2: little too wide open.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I feel like I see I see a truck there,
- 23:38Speaker 1: and I'm like, okay, the dudes inside there's a camera
- 23:41Speaker 1: also looking at me. And you just start playing these
- 23:43Speaker 1: mental warfare games, like man, they're dialing in on me
- 23:45Speaker 1: right now.
- 23:46Speaker 3: So I threw a couple in. Then I'm like, you
- 23:48Speaker 3: know what, I'm gonna get out of here for the
- 23:49Speaker 3: coffee plate. Then you get back in the truck and
- 23:52Speaker 3: driver and let's go try to find another one. You're
- 23:56Speaker 3: a multiple. Yeah. Yeah.
- 24:00Speaker 2: The trip that I'm talking about happened though right before.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I think on Sunday, before we left for the super Bowl,
- 24:04Speaker 1: and I'm out ripping around Nashville.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Okay, maybe I'm maybe I won't get read, maybe I
- 24:08Speaker 3: won't get read in the comment.
- 24:10Speaker 1: I think PT. I think fathers completely. I hit a fellow.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Dad's like, hey, I know you are. You're the goat.
- 24:17Speaker 1: He's my go to on Like, hey, where's the dump
- 24:19Speaker 1: what dumpsters you use around this area? He's like he
- 24:22Speaker 1: sent me a list of three. This one's probably best
- 24:25Speaker 1: at first, but if not, go to this one.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Put put me in that, put me in that group text.
- 24:30Speaker 3: I could use that group text. Yeah. I think Dad's
- 24:32Speaker 3: are out there right now being liked. Okay, I'm not
- 24:33Speaker 3: the only one. I'm not the only one, he does. Okay. Good.
- 24:36Speaker 3: So I start going around this industrial complex we office near,
- 24:41Speaker 3: and I find the most beautiful, empty, ginormous dumpster of
- 24:45Speaker 3: all time. And I'm chucking stuff too. I'm chucking old pillows,
- 24:49Speaker 3: old blankets, tons of boxes. Yeah, dum battery bro. And
- 24:54Speaker 3: I'm making sure they're leaking acid. And as I'm throwing
- 24:58Speaker 3: it in there, I swear to you, I just hear
- 25:02Speaker 3: the biggest fucking dog ever.
- 25:03Speaker 2: I go good.
- 25:04Speaker 3: They got a junk yard dog rot wild good, it
- 25:09Speaker 3: sounded like one. And they got these big bob wire fences.
- 25:14Speaker 3: I'm just like, oh, this is awesome. I'm just dumping
- 25:17Speaker 3: it in there fastward. I wake up the next morning
- 25:20Speaker 3: and Jill has our daughter on her hip and she's
- 25:22Speaker 3: shaking me, and she goes, but you told me and
- 25:25Speaker 3: threw away those boxes. You told me and threw away
- 25:28Speaker 3: those boxes. I'm like, what why? Hey, what's going on?
- 25:30Speaker 3: What's going on? Why are you yelling at me? You
- 25:33Speaker 3: told me you threw away those boxes last night. They're
- 25:34Speaker 3: all in our in our driveway. It's like, bro, they
- 25:41Speaker 3: brought every single one back because rookie mistake. And I
- 25:46Speaker 3: usually do rip the shipping label off of it. Forgot
- 25:49Speaker 3: to rip the shipping label off of it because I
- 25:51Speaker 3: was in such a rush, and they put every single
- 25:55Speaker 3: thing that I put in that dumb sure they put
- 25:56Speaker 3: it in my driveway.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Are you able to say the place?
- 26:01Speaker 3: No, okay, you don't want to give well, I just
- 26:04Speaker 3: don't want to give up the Where our office is
- 26:07Speaker 3: It is quite literally just down the street. I'll show
- 26:10Speaker 3: you the dumpster if you want to go see it.
- 26:13Speaker 6: Damn.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Part of me gets scared.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I get as I'm putting it in, I'm like, man,
- 26:18Speaker 1: there's there's there's my but Dan, I'm like, that's the
- 26:21Speaker 1: old address.
- 26:23Speaker 3: I I gotta move now. I truly I think that's
- 26:27Speaker 3: the fixed. Curious if people, if people did that, I've
- 26:30Speaker 3: gotten caught before.
- 26:33Speaker 1: It was behind a restaurant dumpings like hey what do
- 26:36Speaker 1: you oh am I not able to use this? Oh no, no, no,
- 26:39Speaker 1: those are ours?
- 26:40Speaker 3: Yeah, we we we we pay for those. Oh ship,
- 26:42Speaker 3: my bad man. I would do this. Let me get
- 26:44Speaker 3: in the truck you want me to take. You can
- 26:46Speaker 3: leave them in there, but just don't do any more, Okay,
- 26:48Speaker 3: got you? Yeah, I would do the the Steve BALBONI
- 26:52Speaker 3: was my thing in college where I'd find work sites
- 26:55Speaker 3: with those huge work dumpsters, and that's where I would
- 26:57Speaker 3: chuck and they'd be like hey. I'd be like, are y'all,
- 27:00Speaker 3: are y'all with the crew. They'd be like yeah. I'd
- 27:02Speaker 3: be like, all right, just get my thumbs up, and
- 27:05Speaker 3: they're like, he must be something. I mean, he looks
- 27:08Speaker 3: confident enough. Yeah. Do you guys ever ditch a mattress
- 27:11Speaker 3: in one before? No? I mean we had a mattress.
- 27:15Speaker 4: I had a mini van I used to sell in
- 27:17Speaker 4: and me and my buddy tied his old mattress to
- 27:19Speaker 4: the top of it. Wanted a back alley, and Pittsburgh
- 27:21Speaker 4: cut the ropes and just had it slide off and
- 27:23Speaker 4: pulled away as if somebody cared.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Nobody cared. It was the thrill of a lifetime. Dude.
- 27:27Speaker 1: It is something about driving around offloading your trash in
- 27:32Speaker 1: somebody's dumpster, and I get I completely get the anger
- 27:37Speaker 1: that businesses and other people come from. Oh for sure,
- 27:40Speaker 1: if people doing that to ours, we want to find
- 27:42Speaker 1: out you hope the labels on it. We would immediately
- 27:44Speaker 1: find whoever's ready to readily drive and go dumping in
- 27:47Speaker 1: their front yard.
- 27:48Speaker 3: So I get that. Yeah, it's like the mischievousness. Oh dude,
- 27:51Speaker 3: it feels so good.
- 27:52Speaker 2: And it might have been the same situation with you.
- 27:55Speaker 1: But we missed like trash recycling because of the ice storm.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I want to say, Oh, we were backed up heavily
- 28:03Speaker 1: to were even part of me when I was going
- 28:04Speaker 1: to do it instaid high school, middle school. Yeah, Like
- 28:07Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, maybe they'll have Like okay, people are
- 28:10Speaker 1: just trying to people just trying to get their shit
- 28:12Speaker 1: back together.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Yeah, Karma is struck in a big way because my
- 28:17Speaker 3: trash day has been moved and I missed trash day
- 28:20Speaker 3: this it was this morning.
- 28:21Speaker 1: You want to know how karma struck me. When I
- 28:23Speaker 1: was doing the offloading the trash, we had probably six
- 28:30Speaker 1: won't say the next number. We had probably six bags
- 28:34Speaker 1: of diaper trash bags. WI one busts on me. We're
- 28:39Speaker 1: trying to boom, I pick I pick up the no. Yeah,
- 28:44Speaker 1: the trash bag of diapers, and it ripped out. It
- 28:46Speaker 1: rips right before I take off, and all of them
- 28:49Speaker 1: fall in the ground. And I'm sitting there kind of
- 28:51Speaker 1: in a panic because you know, you're trying to be
- 28:53Speaker 1: kind of quick. It's like you're in you're in ground zero,
- 28:55Speaker 1: you're behind enemy lines, and the dumpster you're not supposed
- 28:58Speaker 1: to be at, so you're trying to move fast, asked god,
- 29:01Speaker 1: I wish I.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Could see, and one rips, I immediately stop.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I'll look up at the camera and then I just
- 29:05Speaker 1: start like picking them up and like putting them in
- 29:07Speaker 1: the putting them in the dust.
- 29:09Speaker 2: But like ship's getting on my hand.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, it was.
- 29:13Speaker 2: That was That was a calm stoke.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm being so dead serious. Can we try and
- 29:17Speaker 3: and schedule one of these together? Oh yeah yeah, especially
- 29:25Speaker 3: especially are out there in the comments being like, okay,
- 29:28Speaker 3: we've done this too. It's adrenaline rush of a lifetime.
- 29:31Speaker 3: This is how adults ding Dong did so, this is
- 29:33Speaker 3: how we ringing rod feels like the first.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Time you like sneaking alcohol, sneaking a beer. It feels good,
- 29:40Speaker 1: like when your boy's like, hey, you want to go, Hey,
- 29:42Speaker 1: we're gonna we're gonna go drink some beer. What behind
- 29:45Speaker 1: this party right here? And you're like our parents are
- 29:46Speaker 1: right over there, like oh yeah, dude, we're still gonna go.
- 29:48Speaker 1: And you're like, all right, I'll do it too.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Y'allre all going to do it too?
- 29:51Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, dude, you're not. Yeah, don't be a pussy dude.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Sure the throw the diaper bag in there.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Yeah, drilling rush and like somebody like an adult like
- 30:01Speaker 1: buys you beer. Yeah, and you feel like you're just
- 30:04Speaker 1: getting away with Merger's Like, oh my god, Okay, guys,
- 30:05Speaker 1: I got a twenty four back above light, I got
- 30:07Speaker 1: a twenty four back.
- 30:09Speaker 3: That's like the adrenaline. It feels like that is no, no, truly,
- 30:13Speaker 3: that is yeah. Yeah, I chase that high. I oh what, oh, Jared, Jared,
- 30:21Speaker 3: You're free to speak. It's not like I need to
- 30:24Speaker 3: talk now. You just said something I had like a
- 30:25Speaker 3: ten second story. But now it feels weird.
- 30:28Speaker 7: Pa, Pa say it when you said the trash back
- 30:31Speaker 7: thing where it like ripped open and the diaper got
- 30:33Speaker 7: all over you just in the ice storm. I think
- 30:35Speaker 7: I told term this story like the fridge went bad,
- 30:38Speaker 7: like everything went bad, and yeah, so I got to
- 30:39Speaker 7: load the entire fridge of rotten like rotisserie chicken, like
- 30:44Speaker 7: everything's rotten in the fridge. Put it on one milk,
- 30:48Speaker 7: one trash bag. I put it on one trash bag. McKenzie,
- 30:50Speaker 7: My beautiful girlfriends like you probably double bag it or
- 30:53Speaker 7: maybe split into two bags.
- 30:54Speaker 3: I might know. I don't know how y'all are.
- 30:56Speaker 2: I want everything out in one bag.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Hey, baby, trash is my deal. You go fucking sit
- 31:02Speaker 3: on the couch. I'll handle the trash. Yeah, you're so
- 31:04Speaker 3: beautiful and sweet though, yea, yeah, yeah.
- 31:07Speaker 7: I go to drag this bag out. I can't pick
- 31:10Speaker 7: it up. I drag it out right in front of
- 31:11Speaker 7: her in the living room. It catches the front door,
- 31:13Speaker 7: rips open rotten chicken all over our living room and
- 31:16Speaker 7: front porch. She just gets proven right right there, and
- 31:19Speaker 7: she's like she didn't even have to say it, like
- 31:22Speaker 7: I thought you so that's.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Where you feel such a rage that you might morph
- 31:26Speaker 1: into the hulk.
- 31:27Speaker 7: I was so proud of myself for restraining my anger
- 31:29Speaker 7: because she was right. She was not even rude about it,
- 31:31Speaker 7: like she like gave me good advice. I didn't take it,
- 31:34Speaker 7: and just right in front of I just silently just
- 31:36Speaker 7: picked it up with my hands, just putting it back.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Hey dad, dad hacked dude, by the way, mine the
- 31:41Speaker 3: end of course, Papa Sherham when he was in town,
- 31:44Speaker 3: got me some those contractor bags, just having them just
- 31:48Speaker 3: for any situation. Dude. You never know when you're gonna
- 31:51Speaker 3: use one of those cumungous contractor bags.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Nothing like just dad talk talking trash with the.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Not even that wasn't even written down on our things
- 32:01Speaker 3: to talk about, dude. It's just the love of the game.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Love of the game. And there's no l to take
- 32:06Speaker 1: like the one you take in front of your girl,
- 32:08Speaker 1: in front of your wife when they're trying to give
- 32:10Speaker 1: you advice or tell you something and you're like, okay,
- 32:12Speaker 1: you pipe.
- 32:13Speaker 7: Down, there's a rip and then it happens and you're like,
- 32:15Speaker 7: it's not even an argument.
- 32:16Speaker 3: It's just like shit, you're right, and you got to
- 32:20Speaker 3: own it.
- 32:20Speaker 1: But now she's got it. The next time she gives
- 32:21Speaker 1: you recommendation, yeah exactly. You know what, you sweetheart, You
- 32:25Speaker 1: are beautiful, you are right. Most of the time. I
- 32:28Speaker 1: will listen to this.
- 32:29Speaker 3: It's probably a good take. Yeah, good take. I but yes,
- 32:33Speaker 3: that was my Dad loss very quickly into the Dad hack.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I got very quickly.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Come on now, okay, okay, this is this is Dad game, right,
- 32:44Speaker 3: this is Dad game and the Dixons are tuned in. Bro.
- 32:46Speaker 3: I will be so honest to say that, like I
- 32:50Speaker 3: stumbled into this Dad hack. But essentially what it has
- 32:54Speaker 3: turned into is my mom was planning on coming in
- 32:58Speaker 3: February and the so she was gonna come or this week. However,
- 33:04Speaker 3: Jill's we moved here from Texas. Jill misses her friends dearly,
- 33:08Speaker 3: like Charles's friend that she sees once a year. That's
- 33:11Speaker 3: these two are That's it that for her. And she's
- 33:18Speaker 3: not homesick, but she, dude, she's just missing home. She's
- 33:20Speaker 3: missing her girls, and she's telling me about it all
- 33:23Speaker 3: the time. And I'm like, man, we got to get
- 33:25Speaker 3: back to Texas and we got to figure something out
- 33:28Speaker 3: for her to visit fam. And all of a sudden,
- 33:31Speaker 3: Lauren Lolo texts me and says, hey, me and Abby
- 33:35Speaker 3: really want to come up and surprise Jill. What would
- 33:38Speaker 3: be a good week? And I'm like light bulb, oh
- 33:41Speaker 3: my god, because Jill's awful with surprises, terrible at him,
- 33:45Speaker 3: like she will figure it out every single time, and
- 33:49Speaker 3: I was like, I have the perfect one. She already
- 33:51Speaker 3: thinks my mom's coming in town. I already have plaine
- 33:54Speaker 3: itinerary that I can show Jill. And we just moved
- 33:58Speaker 3: my mom coming in town to the end of the month,
- 34:02Speaker 3: and I told my mom just completely go with it,
- 34:05Speaker 3: that you're still coming in town. And I couldn't have
- 34:07Speaker 3: played it any better of just because Jill always says, oh,
- 34:11Speaker 3: you do a terrible job of like planning stuff whenever
- 34:14Speaker 3: your mom's coming in down and like you're you're always
- 34:17Speaker 3: so reluctant to get the house clean and stuff. But
- 34:21Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm like excited. I'm so excited because I
- 34:25Speaker 3: know how much joy is going to like come out
- 34:27Speaker 3: of her friends coming that I'm having to pretend like
- 34:30Speaker 3: this is just a regular family members coming in town.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Shouldn't we get the carpet cleaner from home depot and
- 34:36Speaker 3: make sure all the good honey, I don't do we
- 34:38Speaker 3: really have to do that, but in the back of
- 34:40Speaker 3: my mom like, I would love to do that because
- 34:41Speaker 3: we got to get the house and when's your mom
- 34:44Speaker 3: come in? I don't even know, like I'll text her.
- 34:47Speaker 3: She hasn't even texted me back. I'm trying to call her.
- 34:50Speaker 3: I'll honey, I'll figure it out. I don't know when
- 34:52Speaker 3: she's coming in the morning of the pickup. Does your
- 34:56Speaker 3: mom land at nine? I told her earlier time than
- 34:59Speaker 3: what it actually was, so that she'd be ready with Scarlett,
- 35:02Speaker 3: And I'm like, I'm like, I think, I don't. I
- 35:06Speaker 3: don't know. Oh it's no, it's ten forty five, so
- 35:09Speaker 3: like we have some time. That's when the box debacle happened.
- 35:12Speaker 3: By the way, was during all that I had to
- 35:14Speaker 3: go pickure you.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Know, all the massive surprise is about the land well
- 35:17Speaker 1: and somebody give me dump the boxes off.
- 35:20Speaker 2: I thought she handled the boxes.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Bro. She has no makeup on, no nothing going, like
- 35:25Speaker 3: hair's not even really done up, super nice going to
- 35:27Speaker 3: the airport. So I know I have succeeded because anytime
- 35:32Speaker 3: she knows that, like a picture's gonna be done, she's
- 35:34Speaker 3: got a cute outfit. She's We're just picking up sherm's
- 35:37Speaker 3: mom from the airport, and I'm like, God, we fucking
- 35:40Speaker 3: killed it. And I'll show the video. I'll put it
- 35:44Speaker 3: like in the episode edit. But I go, hey, I
- 35:48Speaker 3: faked a phone call with my mom. And I was like, hey,
- 35:52Speaker 3: she said, you and Scarlet can go in there. Her
- 35:54Speaker 3: bags haven't come out yet at baggage claim, and she
- 35:57Speaker 3: was like, oh okay. She's like, you want to go,
- 35:59Speaker 3: see Sonny, you want to go? And I just see
- 36:01Speaker 3: her go through the glass doors and then I see
- 36:03Speaker 3: her pace picking up like through the windows. So I
- 36:06Speaker 3: wasn't inside for it, but dude, I was just like, God,
- 36:10Speaker 3: we murdered this. And then now it's just been this
- 36:13Speaker 3: entire like euphoric week of like her smile is so big.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Do she's so freakin' happy. Your friends are so happy.
- 36:21Speaker 3: They have matching Valentine's Day pajamas that they're all wearing
- 36:25Speaker 3: right now at the house and they're getting pictures, and
- 36:29Speaker 3: there's babies crawling everywhere. We've already dealt with the ear infection.
- 36:32Speaker 3: One of the baby's ears bursted on the plane and
- 36:36Speaker 3: they had to go to a doctor right when they land.
- 36:39Speaker 3: It's kind of like there's been some trenches here and there,
- 36:41Speaker 3: but like, oh, dude, when you have three moms in
- 36:44Speaker 3: the same under the same roof, like anything is possible.
- 36:49Speaker 3: They don't need me for anything. And people on social
- 36:53Speaker 3: media are like, oh, suirm's out number blah blah blah.
- 36:55Speaker 3: I'm like, in the best way possible, I'm like a superhero.
- 36:59Speaker 3: If I start a fire in the fireplace, I'm a
- 37:02Speaker 3: superhero if I do if I lift a finger at
- 37:04Speaker 3: the house. They're like, Sherman's so helpful and so sweet,
- 37:08Speaker 3: and I'm like, yeah, you know.
- 37:09Speaker 1: You know Sherman's in a good pocket too, because I
- 37:13Speaker 1: saw you tweet too, like they went to Target, you
- 37:15Speaker 1: were watching all the kid Oh yeah, yeah. But it's
- 37:17Speaker 1: like the dad mode that he would have to be
- 37:20Speaker 1: in normally is like all right, you say one friend
- 37:23Speaker 1: was in town, or say my situation, you guys go out,
- 37:25Speaker 1: I'll watch the kids. But you having the friends that
- 37:29Speaker 1: are also moms with their kids in town, they're doing
- 37:31Speaker 1: the mom thing. You're not going to be taking care
- 37:33Speaker 1: of their kids, so Jill's not going to be like
- 37:35Speaker 1: pressing you like, oh, I'll do well, I'll do it together.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Now you just kind of get to kick back and
- 37:39Speaker 2: relax a little bit.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Truly, And they're like they're like, oh my gosh, like
- 37:43Speaker 3: their kids, Margo and Jane, They're like, oh Jane is
- 37:47Speaker 3: smiling at Sherman. Oh my gosh, Margo wants to hug
- 37:50Speaker 3: Sherman and I'm like, yeah. They like, everything's a win,
- 37:58Speaker 3: everything's positive. And they're like, let's buy you dinner. Oh,
- 38:01Speaker 3: don't do the dish. I will do that. I'm like,
- 38:04Speaker 3: oh my god, this is like the greatest the entire world.
- 38:08Speaker 1: They all can't get out, Momed, they all can't get out.
- 38:11Speaker 1: You're just playing hero ball. You want me to watch
- 38:15Speaker 1: Scarlett and you go, hang, oh, they got their kids too,
- 38:18Speaker 1: I'll take Scarlett.
- 38:18Speaker 2: I'll take Scarlett as well. Gig out, mom, you don't
- 38:21Speaker 2: have to do that.
- 38:21Speaker 3: And then the best part was last night when they
- 38:24Speaker 3: were going to Target. They all have like Nana apps
- 38:28Speaker 3: set up for the individual sleep chambers that they've built
- 38:32Speaker 3: for their kids. Bro. So many dad hacks have come
- 38:35Speaker 3: out this week. They make tints that you can put
- 38:37Speaker 3: over those packing play beds that like block out all
- 38:41Speaker 3: the light. I'll send a pick to you. I was like,
- 38:44Speaker 3: that's actually sick. So your kid can be sleeping in
- 38:47Speaker 3: the same room, but they're like kind of chambered in there.
- 38:50Speaker 3: But they all have Nana apps. So when they went
- 38:52Speaker 3: to Target, I was like, honey, do I need to
- 38:55Speaker 3: stay on the couch? Why you are at target or
- 38:58Speaker 3: is it okay if I like go to the bed
- 39:00Speaker 3: and just sit on my phone. And her friends were like,
- 39:04Speaker 3: oh my gosh, sure you can go to the bet
- 39:06Speaker 3: and Jill's like no, no, like you should probably be
- 39:09Speaker 3: on the account ball ball. I was like, oh, okay,
- 39:11Speaker 3: yeah yeah, and they're like, no, he could be a
- 39:14Speaker 3: bad blah blah. I was like, yay, ain't see see
- 39:19Speaker 3: hey yeah yeah yeah yeah, come on hey they're saying it.
- 39:24Speaker 3: You see, it's all good. If I go just kick
- 39:26Speaker 3: my feet up on the bed, like this is incredible.
- 39:30Speaker 3: And I ended up getting to go kick my feet
- 39:31Speaker 3: up in the bed. It was awesome. Dude, It's been unreal.
- 39:36Speaker 3: We gotta do this way more.
- 39:38Speaker 2: You've this move has re set a standard for PT six.
- 39:46Speaker 3: He hasn't. It hasn't even rest his standard though from
- 39:48Speaker 3: the like, I saw some comments on social media husband
- 39:51Speaker 3: of the year, dad of the year, what a great like.
- 39:54Speaker 3: I'm like, I'll pay him, but no, I will take him,
- 39:58Speaker 3: but do it yourself and I'll see how easy it
- 40:00Speaker 3: is that I don't deserve.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Tapped into something, whether you call failing ford, stumbled into
- 40:06Speaker 1: or whatever. When the light bulb went off, you found
- 40:08Speaker 1: something that's like you almost can't touch.
- 40:12Speaker 2: You can't it, but if you do.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Somehow get in that stratosphere, that atmosphere, that air.
- 40:22Speaker 2: It's talking to God.
- 40:23Speaker 3: Oh, it's like talking. And dude, their husbands, they're like
- 40:27Speaker 3: at home planet. They're they're playing video games, they're hanging
- 40:30Speaker 3: with the boys for everybody. They're they're so happy. They're
- 40:34Speaker 3: so happy at home and they get their little face times.
- 40:37Speaker 1: And think about that surprise factor. It kind of bumps
- 40:39Speaker 1: me out. You didn't get that. You saw her pace
- 40:41Speaker 1: pick up in the airport when she got the you
- 40:42Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like first seed, did any of
- 40:44Speaker 1: her friends tic video?
- 40:45Speaker 3: They did, and I'll put it in that episode. She
- 40:49Speaker 3: just starts sobbing. It's not like the best video ever,
- 40:51Speaker 3: but like she just loses.
- 40:53Speaker 2: It's an amazing video. Probably sucks for her because she's like,
- 40:55Speaker 2: I'm not done up, I'm crying. I'm doing this.
- 40:58Speaker 3: No, like she won't mind me posted, but like it's
- 41:01Speaker 3: shaky and stuff. Amazing. Yeah, dude, you know.
- 41:06Speaker 1: You think you're going up to pick up your mother
- 41:08Speaker 1: in law and they can have the greatest relationship ever.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Shout out miss Amy. They each other and yes.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but seeing a couple of your best friends with
- 41:18Speaker 1: their kiddos standing there at baggage claim.
- 41:21Speaker 3: She You can see in the video she stutters twice
- 41:24Speaker 3: because she's like, the fuck, what are you guys doing that?
- 41:27Speaker 3: Am I seeing? Like? Am I seeing something real?
- 41:31Speaker 2: And how how long were they here?
- 41:33Speaker 3: They're here till Thursday?
- 41:34Speaker 2: So how many days is that?
- 41:38Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 41:38Speaker 2: How long you guys here? We're here till thursday.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Oh yeah, and Jill has a whole week off, so
- 41:43Speaker 3: she's elated. Bro. They went to the zoo yesterday. They
- 41:47Speaker 3: got all matching outfits for the girls they got Like, dude, dude,
- 41:51Speaker 3: I'm telling you, it's not me, it's the the If
- 41:56Speaker 3: we're looking for a factor in the equation to make
- 41:59Speaker 3: this happen, you just have to make sure that your
- 42:03Speaker 3: wife's friends rock, that they're awesome and super sweet and helpful,
- 42:06Speaker 3: and like you love having them in your home. Like
- 42:09Speaker 3: that's really the only two factors. It's like, yeah, my
- 42:12Speaker 3: wife's friends suck, and they're they're here and they're yelling
- 42:15Speaker 3: at me and blah blah blah. Get that. But like
- 42:18Speaker 3: once you click play, you just step back. You're like,
- 42:22Speaker 3: oh my god.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Sounds like it's still be worth the potential beating verbal
- 42:25Speaker 1: beating at times.
- 42:26Speaker 3: Probably if one of the friends kind of sucked, I
- 42:29Speaker 3: would say, totally go for it, dude, and then that's
- 42:32Speaker 3: kind of their problem. That's a massive w Bro, Bravo,
- 42:35Speaker 3: thank you got it. Yeah, I mean it's been incredible.
- 42:39Speaker 3: It's been incredible. Charles listening to this right now, thinking like, man,
- 42:41Speaker 3: I hope we'll do something like this for me one day.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Oh, dude, you eat all the empty sixers. Everybody's rooting
- 42:48Speaker 1: for this, That's what I'm saying.
- 42:49Speaker 2: I feel like this is a.
- 42:50Speaker 3: Everyone wins, dude, Everyone wins. And even if you're not
- 42:54Speaker 3: the guy to do it, you're you might be one
- 42:56Speaker 3: of the husbands that finds out about this secret plan. Well, honey,
- 43:00Speaker 3: let me help you pack. I mean, we got to
- 43:02Speaker 3: make sure the surprise is good. You know.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that.
- 43:06Speaker 4: Black I'd say, what happened? You're depriving guys with their families. Yeah,
- 43:15Speaker 4: I mean we can celebrate it.
- 43:17Speaker 3: But and Derek, I didn't. I appreciate you like I
- 43:21Speaker 3: gotta keep you honest. I know, and I do appreciate
- 43:24Speaker 3: that because there are two dads out there that aren't
- 43:26Speaker 3: getting to see their their daughters for four days.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Yeah, let's keep you strong armed a couple of pet
- 43:32Speaker 1: sixers families from them. Yeah, for three nights, four days,
- 43:36Speaker 1: three nights.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Yeah, where they're gonna have to be hanging out at
- 43:40Speaker 3: the house, eating whatever they want, watching whatever they want,
- 43:45Speaker 3: playing whatever they want.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Getting worse at life essentially. Oh no, I mean think
- 43:50Speaker 1: about it.
- 43:50Speaker 3: You eat piece of you eat junk food, you play
- 43:52Speaker 3: video games, you have a few beers, you have freedom,
- 43:54Speaker 3: you have nobody in the house.
- 43:56Speaker 1: You got a little silence. Somebody equate it to peace
- 43:58Speaker 1: and quiet. I I equate it to tour.
- 44:00Speaker 3: Sure, well, everything that you just said is true, but
- 44:04Speaker 3: multiply that by five. Because they flew in on Sunday,
- 44:09Speaker 3: Super Bowl Sunday.
- 44:12Speaker 1: You're telling me those dads that the Wash' Super Bowl.
- 44:15Speaker 1: They probably themselves or go partake in another blame super
- 44:18Speaker 1: Bowl party with some of.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Their boys, probably had to uber back because they weren't
- 44:23Speaker 3: fit to drive. I mean, this is Derek, thank you,
- 44:30Speaker 3: because I didn't even think about that, dude. And and

- 44:40Speaker 3: I don't realize.

- 44:46Speaker 1: to do it, what to eat, how to eat it,
- 44:48Speaker 1: you know what I mean, how to dress the kiddos.
- 44:50Speaker 3: I'm sitting here gloating. Yeah, what a move. I hate
- 44:57Speaker 3: it when my wife's out there to tell me that
- 44:59Speaker 3: we have boxes by the garage door.

- 47:32Speaker 1: I was. Oh, I think it was somebody with our
- 47:38Speaker 1: with a show boat. Was it Savannah, because a hilarious
- 47:43Speaker 1: story about you about wanting to get what was it?
- 47:46Speaker 1: What's the grocery store out in LA with the Haley
- 47:50Speaker 1: Bieber smoothie.
- 47:52Speaker 3: I can hear her saying it too. It's like our
- 47:55Speaker 3: away or our away, something like the.
- 47:58Speaker 4: E R E W h O n Arowin grove arowin
- 48:02Speaker 4: irowin Arawa strawberry.
- 48:05Speaker 1: It's a phenomenal, you know, it's an incredible grocery store.
- 48:07Speaker 1: But we were going and picking up our lunch, and
- 48:09Speaker 1: I was on the search is I need to get
- 48:10Speaker 1: a Chris Bapple lollipop?
- 48:12Speaker 3: She she called me. Essentially she works with Ollipop and
- 48:16Speaker 3: shout out Savannah. They do a great job and she
- 48:19Speaker 3: she told me she was just a little bit concerned
- 48:21Speaker 3: because Ollipop was saying, this is the most we've ever
- 48:23Speaker 3: shipped to a podcast. He's really drinking.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Did she tell you She's like, oh, Will actually really
- 48:29Speaker 1: loves Ollipop.
- 48:30Speaker 3: Oh. She was like he He was like, hey, can
- 48:33Speaker 3: we stop at the airway? I got I gotta pick
- 48:35Speaker 3: up some lollipop And you are were like going to
- 48:37Speaker 3: something like work wise. You're like, no, I need to
- 48:41Speaker 3: get Ollipop first. Yeah, yeah, we ain't going.
- 48:43Speaker 1: And when I was tweeting about Ollipop before Ollipop even
- 48:46Speaker 1: came into the picture of Bust with the boys before
- 48:49Speaker 1: the dads and it's She's like, oh you actually really
- 48:51Speaker 1: like oh yeah, I'm not fucking around.
- 48:54Speaker 3: She said she saw you scratching at your neck as
- 48:56Speaker 3: you were walking through the soda isle.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Because I was trying to find Chris Bapple and they
- 49:00Speaker 1: were kind of restocking some different drinks and I wasn't seeing.
- 49:03Speaker 3: Chris Bapple because they're selling out constantly. Yeah, I'm sure
- 49:07Speaker 3: Chris Bapple they are, oh big time.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Probably because of that, That's what I tell myself is
- 49:12Speaker 1: because of this pod. But during the IY storm, when
- 49:14Speaker 1: I was doing the videos and talking about all this
- 49:16Speaker 1: Target has Chris Bapple on West End, YadA YadA YadA,
- 49:20Speaker 1: like gas stations and spots that I would go to
- 49:22Speaker 1: to get Chris pap ollipop like they were empty. Yes,
- 49:25Speaker 1: there's a bunch of other flavors. Chris Bapple was out
- 49:27Speaker 1: and watermelon Lione. I would have like one or two left.
- 49:29Speaker 3: You want you want to here's a dad hack. You
- 49:31Speaker 3: want to find ollipop really quick? Go to Target, so
- 49:34Speaker 3: to aisle and you're gonna see everything's gonna look beautifully stocked.
- 49:37Speaker 3: And find that little gap where it looks like nothing's there.
- 49:39Speaker 3: Go straight there and look in the back and there's
- 49:41Speaker 3: gonna be like three ollipops left because they're flying off
- 49:44Speaker 3: the shelves. Yeah.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I have a good I have a solid Cracker
- 49:48Speaker 1: cole on this week, one that I'm honestly excited to
- 49:50Speaker 1: talk about. Okay, let me, let me let me look.
- 49:54Speaker 1: I love my family, I love all the Cracker cole ones.
- 49:56Speaker 2: I talk about this one.
- 49:57Speaker 1: I was giddy to kind of talk about because surprised me.
- 50:00Speaker 1: The other night we were doing bedtime. You know, it
- 50:03Speaker 1: was either one of the first times I was home,
- 50:05Speaker 1: and she was like we kind of read a lot
- 50:08Speaker 1: of the same books every night. Yeah, I'm sure parents,
- 50:10Speaker 1: you'll sit there, you'll have an entire bookshelf with all
- 50:12Speaker 1: these children's books and all these things what you stocked
- 50:15Speaker 1: it with, and fun reads and everything else. But your
- 50:17Speaker 1: little one always gets accustomed to these few They love
- 50:20Speaker 1: to just recycle, which is which is always fun. But
- 50:24Speaker 1: there are these books that I've always been fascinated with
- 50:26Speaker 1: that I would read the rue when she was probably
- 50:28Speaker 1: like maybe a little before two years old. When I
- 50:30Speaker 1: first came across this book, I want to say, char
- 50:32Speaker 1: might have bought it.
- 50:33Speaker 2: And it's called What You Do with an Idea? By
- 50:36Speaker 2: a Kobe Yamada.
- 50:37Speaker 3: You read it to us?
- 50:38Speaker 1: I read another book because when I went down to
- 50:41Speaker 1: somewhere in Franklin, we were shopping in one of these
- 50:43Speaker 1: little one of these little stores, and the Kobe Yamaa
- 50:46Speaker 1: is a Yamada Yamada, Kobe Yamada, that's right, And that's
- 50:50Speaker 1: the author of this book. And he's got a series.
- 50:52Speaker 1: And when I realized he has a series of books,
- 50:54Speaker 1: not just What You Do with an Idea, I was like,
- 50:57Speaker 1: I need all of these books.
- 50:58Speaker 3: Yes, dude, which one did you read to us? In office?
- 51:00Speaker 3: Because it wasn't the idea one.
- 51:02Speaker 1: It wasn't the idea one, and it's so funny you
- 51:04Speaker 1: bring that up, and for everybody listening, this was a
- 51:07Speaker 1: legitimate team meeting. One day, I read a Kobe Yamada
- 51:09Speaker 1: book in front of the team to the team. Yeah,
- 51:13Speaker 1: like very serious. I was being serious about it, even
- 51:15Speaker 1: though these are like children's books. And I'm stoked because
- 51:17Speaker 1: Ru's three, She's gonna be four in April. Yeah, I
- 51:20Speaker 1: feel like she's she started when I read this book.
- 51:22Speaker 1: We're sitting there talking about it and talking through it
- 51:23Speaker 1: and everything else was I am obsessed with Yeah, because
- 51:26Speaker 1: you always want to, you know, you want to. You
- 51:29Speaker 1: want to help give them philosophies or things that like
- 51:32Speaker 1: frameworks to form like when they're going through things. And
- 51:35Speaker 1: I'll get into what you do with an idea. But
- 51:36Speaker 1: the one I made, the one I read to you guys,
- 51:40Speaker 1: was trying, trying, trying because you fail over and over
- 51:44Speaker 1: and trying, and it had a lot of good Again,
- 51:46Speaker 1: they're like short reads. It's a children's book, and I'm
- 51:48Speaker 1: legitimately reading this to the team because I'm like, I
- 51:51Speaker 1: feel like this would be great for everybody.
- 51:53Speaker 3: You were showing us the illustrations as well. You were
- 51:56Speaker 3: in full dad reading mode. He had the book turned
- 51:59Speaker 3: and he was reading to us like this, turning the pages, seriously.
- 52:03Speaker 3: Read the video of it. I'll put it in that
- 52:05Speaker 3: episode I recorded. I recorded.
- 52:07Speaker 2: But he's got a bunch of books, dude.
- 52:09Speaker 1: It's like I talked in here Koby Yamada books, and
- 52:13Speaker 1: there's some right here that I'm not even I haven't
- 52:16Speaker 1: even known that they were out there. But what you
- 52:17Speaker 1: do with an idea maybe what you do with a problem,
- 52:21Speaker 1: what you do with a chance. Because I had a
- 52:24Speaker 1: teacher finding muchness, trying, noticing why not, chasing dreams, feeling grateful.
- 52:34Speaker 2: I want all of these.
- 52:35Speaker 1: This is this is like, this is a massive shout
- 52:37Speaker 1: out to Cobin Yamada because I love these children's books
- 52:40Speaker 1: and kind of the frameworks they give you as a
- 52:42Speaker 1: parent for like story time and reading along when your
- 52:44Speaker 1: little one starts to get curious and ask you questions.
- 52:46Speaker 1: But what you do with an idea is essentially this
- 52:49Speaker 1: little boy he finds this idea, and the idea is
- 52:52Speaker 1: like a little pet egg with a crown on it,
- 52:56Speaker 1: and he finds this idea and he kind of likes
- 52:58Speaker 1: the idea, And then when he thinks about with this idea,
- 53:01Speaker 1: what he could do with this idea, he gets a
- 53:03Speaker 1: little shy and scared and worried and anxiety about it.
- 53:07Speaker 1: What if he shows off this idea, this little weird
- 53:10Speaker 1: egg in front of people, Like if he brings the
- 53:12Speaker 1: idea in front of.
- 53:13Speaker 2: People, like what if they laugh at it?
- 53:15Speaker 3: What if they you know, talk it down and mock you,
- 53:18Speaker 3: and all of these things, and it kind of sends
- 53:21Speaker 3: him back, and I don't want anything to do with
- 53:22Speaker 3: the idea because what the world externally has told me
- 53:26Speaker 3: now that I've brought the idea in front of everybody.
- 53:29Speaker 1: But he realized, the little boy realizes the idea wouldn't
- 53:31Speaker 1: leave him. It would stay around and watch him do
- 53:34Speaker 1: things out in the field or around these animals. And
- 53:36Speaker 1: then one day he realized he wanted to He loved
- 53:39Speaker 1: the idea so much. He didn't just want to throw
- 53:41Speaker 1: away the idea, because the idea would stick around and
- 53:43Speaker 1: he would nurture it and feed and love on it,
- 53:46Speaker 1: and you know, and still confident he would get it
- 53:49Speaker 1: confidence in himself with the idea and be obsessed over
- 53:52Speaker 1: this idea to one day. Then one day he takes
- 53:55Speaker 1: the idea and it starts not only changing him, but
- 53:59Speaker 1: changing everything around him. Like there's these illustrations where the
- 54:01Speaker 1: grass gets greener. It starts off in like black and white,
- 54:05Speaker 1: but the egg is like yellow, and you have the
- 54:07Speaker 1: yellow crown and everything else. And throughout the illustrations of
- 54:10Speaker 1: the story, the forest gets green, the animals start to
- 54:13Speaker 1: get color. It starts to like get rooted. It starts
- 54:16Speaker 1: showing the roots like underground, because the idea is changing
- 54:19Speaker 1: the boy. And then the boy brings the idea. He
- 54:21Speaker 1: builds the idea house so they could sit and look
- 54:24Speaker 1: at the stars and dream and talk about other ideas
- 54:27Speaker 1: with the animals. And then one day the idea touches.
- 54:30Speaker 1: They get to a town, and the idea touches the
- 54:32Speaker 1: town so much that it changes everything around the environment
- 54:37Speaker 1: to where one day the idea the little egg, it
- 54:39Speaker 1: gets bigger and bigger. It takes wings and blasts off
- 54:42Speaker 1: into the sky and it becomes like this big white
- 54:45Speaker 1: orbit and changes the entire world. And it's like, what
- 54:48Speaker 1: do you do with an idea? You change the world.
- 54:51Speaker 1: And that is how it ends. And then the crown
- 54:53Speaker 1: is on the boy's head at the end of it
- 54:55Speaker 1: because he's just kind of reminiscing on this is what
- 54:57Speaker 1: you do with an idea? Yeah, because there's gonna be
- 54:59Speaker 1: times where I have fears. You're like talking with your
- 55:02Speaker 1: little one because she's asking you questions, and I'm just
- 55:04Speaker 1: so obsessed that she's starting to ask questions like this,
- 55:07Speaker 1: because I get into like I'll like add words myself
- 55:10Speaker 1: throughout the story, and then you kind of get in
- 55:11Speaker 1: a little bit of lecture time because she's so focused
- 55:14Speaker 1: on the questions she's asking and what you're saying to
- 55:17Speaker 1: your little one to where you're just talking about you know,
- 55:21Speaker 1: anytime you wanted to ride your bike and you were scared,
- 55:24Speaker 1: or in any example, or when you're shy in front
- 55:26Speaker 1: of people, or you might want to tell somebody the
- 55:28Speaker 1: idea and you want dadad to say the idea. You
- 55:30Speaker 1: don't want to save the idea, like all those fears
- 55:32Speaker 1: and insecurities that happen, Yeah, and you kind of don't
- 55:35Speaker 1: want to share it because you're worried about how the
- 55:38Speaker 1: response might be to you, And just you dive into
- 55:41Speaker 1: all of those things and I'm obsessed with the book.
- 55:44Speaker 2: So Mike crack a cult.
- 55:45Speaker 1: When this week goes to Kobe Yamada in the book,
- 55:48Speaker 1: in particular, what you do with an idea, what you
- 55:51Speaker 1: do with a problem is awesome, Trying is awesome, but
- 55:54Speaker 1: what you do with an idea was kind of the
- 55:56Speaker 1: first one that I'm sitting there and we're doing story
- 55:59Speaker 1: time and I'm like, Yo, this book rips.
- 56:01Speaker 3: I cannot put my stamp of approval on this anymore
- 56:05Speaker 3: because and I'm furious. I'm meant to text you shout
- 56:10Speaker 3: out Jill. She bought that idea book and I read
- 56:13Speaker 3: it to Scarlett in a nighttime tuck in, and I
- 56:18Speaker 3: thought to myself, these illustrations and the premise of this
- 56:21Speaker 3: book reminds me a lot of that book that will read.
- 56:25Speaker 3: I bet this is the same author. And as I
- 56:28Speaker 3: was going through the book as well, I truly was like,
- 56:31Speaker 3: I've never seen the idea of stepping out and being
- 56:34Speaker 3: kind of like a a creator or like a creative
- 56:40Speaker 3: or having you know something that you're wanting to build
- 56:44Speaker 3: be illustrated so beautifully, so eloquently, even for an adult dude.
- 56:49Speaker 3: I was reading the book and going hell, yeah, yeah,
- 56:52Speaker 3: hell yeah, this is exactly what it's like when you're
- 56:54Speaker 3: trying to cannot put my stamp of approval on it anymore.
- 56:58Speaker 3: I love that book, and you're.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Sitting there reading it and knowing, like you know, when
- 57:02Speaker 1: Rus one or one and a half or whatever, I'm like,
- 57:05Speaker 1: all right, there's there's nothing that I can give her
- 57:07Speaker 1: of substance right now, Like I personally love this book
- 57:10Speaker 1: because you're right, like even as an adult, and you're
- 57:12Speaker 1: talking about what you do with an idea and nurturing
- 57:15Speaker 1: it and feeding it and pouring everything you can into
- 57:17Speaker 1: this idea because you love it so much, and they
- 57:21Speaker 1: people might not love it now, but if you if
- 57:23Speaker 1: you stick with it and again continue to pour into
- 57:26Speaker 1: it as often as much as you can, where you're
- 57:28Speaker 1: just obsessed with it, one day you're going to start
- 57:30Speaker 1: changing lives. And then those people that were laughing at
- 57:33Speaker 1: it starts coming around, because nothing's cool until it's cool,
- 57:37Speaker 1: and then you you know, you change the world, and
- 57:39Speaker 1: your world might just be a few people at.
- 57:40Speaker 3: First, the world might be the world like it's it's unbelievable.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Even in parenthood, where you're you know, essentially you're you
- 57:51Speaker 1: have to have like an ego death with your old
- 57:54Speaker 1: life in a way of all of your responsibility now
- 57:56Speaker 1: goes into your kid to where there's some friction at
- 57:58Speaker 1: times with say you're or your spouse or your partner
- 58:01Speaker 1: that you have a kid with, to where you're having
- 58:04Speaker 1: to adapt and change a lot of your old ways
- 58:06Speaker 1: because now you have the biggest responsibility, the biggest blessing
- 58:10Speaker 1: of all time. Yes, and at first, like your kid
- 58:12Speaker 1: can even be the idea of the egg. Yeah, where
- 58:16Speaker 1: all right, I don't want to change all my habits
- 58:19Speaker 1: with the fellows or hey, we're still gonna get together,
- 58:21Speaker 1: We're still gonna do all these things. And then you
- 58:23Speaker 1: realize you kind of can't. And then you hear, oh,
- 58:25Speaker 1: so and so you've changed. You don't play video games
- 58:26Speaker 1: with us anymore. You changed all these things where you
- 58:29Speaker 1: feel like, you know, the group's kind of like they
- 58:32Speaker 1: might not hit have kids, so they don't get it,
- 58:35Speaker 1: and they might be in their group chats whatever assumptions
- 58:38Speaker 1: you might have in your brain. But you're going back
- 58:40Speaker 1: to the kid, and you're pouring everything into the kid,
- 58:44Speaker 1: nurturing it, loving it, feeding it.
- 58:45Speaker 2: This it is the egg. The kid is the egg.
- 58:48Speaker 2: And then one day the kid.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Is going to have all these philosophies and frameworks that
- 58:51Speaker 1: they got from you and mom and the people that
- 58:54Speaker 1: you've you've surrounded them with and they're gonna go out
- 58:58Speaker 1: and change the world and whatever that looks like to them.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Isn't that crazy and incredible to think about? Yeah, it's awesome.
- 59:05Speaker 3: It's I mean, I have a seven month old, so
- 59:08Speaker 3: I'm really just reading a book out loud to myself.
- 59:12Speaker 3: And that's the only book that I've I've read like
- 59:15Speaker 3: forty to Scarlet that as I'm going through it, I'm
- 59:18Speaker 3: like hell, yes, after every single page, I'm just like,
- 59:21Speaker 3: this is awesome. These are a series of.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Books too that I'm just talking to parents, you will
- 59:27Speaker 1: just love, like Sherman saying, you will individually love reading them. Yeah,
- 59:32Speaker 1: you'd be like, oh, snap, bedtime, story time, Like let's hope.
- 59:35Speaker 3: This is very applicable to me as a parent or
- 59:38Speaker 3: as an adult, or as an uncle or as a
- 59:40Speaker 3: like whatever. Yeah.
- 59:41Speaker 2: And that author.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Once I saw that that author had all these books
- 59:45Speaker 1: trying is Once I saw that, I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 59:47Speaker 1: he's got He's got books with an idea, a problem,
- 59:51Speaker 1: having a chance, why not chasing dreams of finding muchness
- 59:55Speaker 1: Because I had a teacher like all of these things
- 59:57Speaker 1: where I want I recommend every parent to get them all.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Go get them like like Pokemon.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: I don't even know if I said what rude? Did
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: I say?
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: What?
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Rue surprised me with no all to say.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Rue was fired up for story time and bedtime and
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: she was like, I don't come in my room. I
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: want to surprise you. And she's like, uh, okay, that
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: you can come in my room. And she was like
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: the surprises under my covers and I'm like, okay, what
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: is it.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: She's like a story time.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: She's like, I think it's your favorite and I lift
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: open the covers and it's what you do with an idea.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: And I was like, let's go, dude.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: And you had already read it to her, right, I've
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: read it to her before. She knows how much I love. Yeah.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Like they'll be like, what's the thick book where it's
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: got all the tales, like I think they call him like.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Not nursery rhymes.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: The brothers.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: It's got a lot of different like uh rapunk Hanseling, Gretel,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: all the Germanic like fairytale type, right, but I know
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: they call them something. But they're all of these little
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: books in this massive book. So we'll sit there and
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: go through. We'll sit there and read those, but she
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: gets in phases with some of her story time. Yeah,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: but dude, when she lifted that up, I was so
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: fired up.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: That's electric Because as much as I like sit.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: There and I want to force the book on her,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: there's been times I'm like, oh, hey, what if we
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: read we haven't read that what you do with the idea?
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: And I don't want to read that one. I'm just like,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: part of you is like sad. You're like, damn, I
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: just want you to get into something like this because
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: this is these are frameworks.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: Of life, Honey, It's got to click at some point.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Yeah, years old. Yeah, so what is your idea?
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: Maybe next time the surprise could be your idea because
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: in the yeah homework.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: In the book too, you know, when you get to
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: the page to where the kids standing on his hands,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: the idea, you know, instill the confidence to where he's
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: standing on his hands and you see the world from
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: a different vantage point. You can flip the book and
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: then it's him kind of holding up the town and
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: everything else to where you see it differently, and all
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: you're doing is flipping the But it's just I think
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: it is unbelievab.
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I I cannot agree more. Retweet, like share everything
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: that you just said.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: Do you feel the passion coming on that damn voice? Demon?
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: For those that don't hear demon said type shippe ship. Yeah.
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: I'm obsessed with them.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: Guys.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: I'm telling your parents, like, just get Kobe Yamada. Books
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: in your.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Life are very well done, extremely well done. Does the illustration?
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: Oh Jena made bezom Let's call ma besm I Koby.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: We gotta get him on.
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: We gotta get him on posting a lot in Portugal.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: I'm looking at his Instagram now, he looks like someone
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: i'd want to hang out.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, these the the you know again, these right here?
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: These are the stories. Yeah, yeah, you gotta right now,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: none of the I want the ones that make it.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: Well I'm even tying it back. I'm like, yo, this kid,
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: the egg, I'm the boy and the egg is rude. Yes,
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: but people don't. People don't get that. It's deeper, It's deeper.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: But no, I agree, I agree those books, those books
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: are incredible and they will come around. They will get it.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: If you don't think the way you over there thinking, they.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: Don't get it. Y'all probably didn't even turn the page
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: upside down. You thought he's walking on his hand. Yeah,
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: they just drew him upside down, and then you get
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: a whole new perspective. Your perspective shifts.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Parents that do have these books are going to be
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: sounding off right now. They will come, they will they
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: are real, They're fabulous.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: My Cracker cole One, we kind of, I mean, we
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: did it, and I apologize. I jumped the gun. It's
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: it's just the girls being at the house and in town.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: But I will say the idea, my Cracker cole One
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: is getting to be Scarlet's first Valentine. I'm very excited
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: for that. Gonna get her a little card, gonna do
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: some flowers. I'm seeing all these videos of like Dad's,
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: you know, doing a daddy daughter Valentine Day on social
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: media and I'm like, oh my god, I can't wait
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: for that. And just being around like a large group
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: of people, a large group of people larger than two
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: because it's usually just Jill and I at the house,
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: but we had all the babies and all the moms
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: around the dinner table on our first night and had
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: a little pizza night, and Scarlett's sitting there munching. It
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: was her first time eating pizza, so shout out that.
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: But she's munching on that bread and she's putting the
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: cheese in her mouth and she's loving the cheese, and
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: she's looking at everybody at the table. But every single
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: time she saw me, dude, she would instantly just smile
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: from across the table and start going like that. And
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: I'm like, god, oh my god, I am in trouble.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: She's just so in love with the with your little girl.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: Man, I'm in trouble, dude, because she's not doing that
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: with anybody else at the table. In my head, I like.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: To think, boy, Dad's I don't think get that. Yes,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: they don't get y'all don't get that, man.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: Yeah, they don't get that.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: Man, they will one day. They'll get it. They get
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: a little girl, absolutely absolutely. I okay, So we hit
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: crack a cold one. Yeah, we gotta keep it under
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: and now we have to keep this episode out of
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: under an hour. Do we want to jump into our
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: shout outs very quickly? Yeah? Yeah, and then do you
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: think fun segue? We could do voicemails.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: I would say, if you want to do game real
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: quick and then head voicemails. Take a show with some emails.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: We can do that. Let's do a game.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: We got a little game show, little game show, Willie
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: one show and Sureham's gonna.
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: Do a game show. Here we go.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: We got a shout out here and again.

- 1:06:25Speaker 3: wanted to shout out my wonderful wife, an empty sixer Noel,
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: mama of three boys. Sadly two of our boys passed
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: away as babies from genetic disorders. But through both pregnancies
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: she was poked and scanned like a lab experiment, but
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: not once did she complain about it. She kept her
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: war face on because she will do anything for her babies.
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: She wears Grayson and Asher on her sleeve every day.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: Now our two year old Oliver keeps us on our
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: toes and brightens our world. Keep up the good work boys,
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: Pop A team sixer Adam out, Adam, thank you for
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: writing now. No, Happy Valentine's Day.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: Yeah, Happy Valentine.

- 1:07:06Speaker 3: best day of the week. Happy Valentine's Day to my
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: beautiful strong wife Michelle. Let's go Christian, Let's go Christian.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: Sorry that one kind of shook me reading just the
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: first read just the first one. This one is from
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: uh Megan Freud.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: Hi.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Boys, My husband Scott has been listening to the pod
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: since it started. Since it was a podcast for dads,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: I assumed I wouldn't like it, but one day he listened,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: or one day he was listening to to Afford the
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Dad's episode on YouTube, and I got hooked. When my
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: husband first told me about the pod, I thought he
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: said it was will and charming like the toilet paper.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: So now that is our little inside joke. Sorry, sure,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: I'm laugh out loud. Last year, we found out that
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: we were pregnant just two days after Valentine's Day.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: Okay, shock wave.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Now we have a three month old baby boy, Sawyer,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: born October thirty. First, we have a Spooktober Halloween. Maybe
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: this year for Valentine's Day. We are not going to
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: do gifts for each other, although y'all reading this email
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: on the pod would be a sick gift. But we
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: are trying to stay on budget because I am officially
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: a stay.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: At home mom as of the end of January.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: Let's go hug.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: My husband is an amazing man and it was never
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: a question whether I would stay home or not. We
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: just knew I would, and he would do whatever he
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: had to make sure that I could. He works so
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: hard every day, gets up at four thirty am to
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: go work, just to be able to support our family
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: so I can stay home and watch our little boy
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: grow up. He is supportive of me, he is kind,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: He's always there for me, and he is such a
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: great partner in parenting. He has an amazing dad and
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: loves our son so much. I couldn't imagine being a
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: I couldn't imagine a better man to be able to
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: have children with, and I am so thankful to have
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: him to lead our family. We obviously don't have much
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: time for ourselves or each other now that we have
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: a three month old. But I am so thankful for
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: the pod because now every Saturday morning, we make our
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: coffee or sometimes we drink an lollipop and we listen
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: to the to this week's episode together. It is like
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: a free at home coffee date that I look forward
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: to all week. Thanks for the parenting info, advice and laughs.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Happy Valentine's Day voice, that is what was her name
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: and his name?
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: His name is Megan Freud and his name is Scott.
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: Shout out. You get you guys right now from afar.
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: Happy Valentine's Day.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and enjoy the coffee right now as you're sitting
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: and listening to the episode.
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: Truly feels so blessed to even be a part of
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: that little moment that y'all's family shares every morning. That's incredible.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: And your son's gonna be a legend just like his dad.
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: He's gonna be built for the egg out. Yeah he is.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: My daddy was waking up before Dirty Get the Kobe
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: Yamada books.
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: Get.
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: You ain't gonna get it, Scott, you ain't gonna get it.
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: But Happy Valentine's Day. Scott read the book to him
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: and you just look at you know, just falling asleep.
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: You don't get it right now, budd, drink a drink
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: your milk. Lexi Morris says hi fellas. I wrote in
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: a while back to gush on my husband Michael, who
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: was one month post his life saving stem cell transplant.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: He's now one hundred plus days out from transplant, and
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: he recently had a totally clear pet scan. Let's go,
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: no cancer detected. Michael. I've loved you since you were
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: fourteen years old. Dam dam yeah, yeah, stay in it, Michael.
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: I've loved you since you're fourteen years old, and I've

- 1:11:08Speaker 3: no we did. I'm really glad we get to read
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: comments like yeah, I'm Derek knows that I'm joking, but

- 1:11:21Speaker 3: to have Michael, Michael, so lucky to have Lexi We're

- 1:11:29Speaker 3: a really cool thing. Valentine's Day is a really cool holiday.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: And it's like hitting me more and more now that
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: I have a daughter, of where I get to like
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: kind of be in that her growing up and kind
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: of like figuring out what love is. I can't wait

- 1:12:10Speaker 3: from Nebraska, GBR. I want to give a huge Valentine's
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: Day shout out to my wife Marissa. She truly is
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: a super mom. We have a two and a half
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: year old girl who is constantly bouncing off the walls.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Marissa is thirty one weeks pregnant with our baby boy,
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: and she works a full time job. Somehow, she does
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: it all and does it with grace. She's also slowly
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: becoming an MT sixer along the way. Let's go I'm
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: not always great at doing cute things for her, something
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: I'm working on. So I'm hoping this email might make
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: it into the pod and be a surprise for her.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: If it does, I just want to say, Marissa, I
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: love you from the bottom of my heart. Damn you

- 1:13:55Speaker 1: but he just ripped one right here. Or he gets
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: a surprise but early in the episode, but he gets
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: to hear the greatest surprise that you can make happen.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Oh yeah, as a PT sixer one day and.
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: He's writing it down, He's like, God, I gotta remember
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: he's sitting there. He just cracked open the allipop and

- 1:14:58Speaker 3: going to say. Okay, okay, are you guys ready?
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: No cheating, no cheating, and you'll give you like ten

- 1:16:29Speaker 3: gonna put the month of September my answer for birthday.
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: That's his answer to the question then Shirm's answer to

- 1:17:38Speaker 3: turn that board, I'm like, he's not wrong. They're reading
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: ko but Yashi. So here's what, dude, I'll just ask

- 1:25:12Speaker 3: if I don't get any on these three answers, Jill's
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: gonna kill me because we are such feudies. A second,
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: she wrote a good one, sir. Oh, there's just so
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: many options. I feel like I miss so many. I

- 1:26:16Speaker 2: It's this house set up. It's cool. You should go.
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: Where was your first date with your wife? If it helped?
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: Like first date? First, if it helps?
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: She wrote a little a small couple of sentence about

- 1:28:02Speaker 4: guys know, what is your wife's favorite movie?
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: Favorite movie? Jill probably put multiple? One wife put multiple.
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: One wife put one answer. No, there's no way that
- 1:28:14Speaker 3: Jill put just one. To be honest, I'm just gonna
- 1:28:16Speaker 3: I'm just gonna say. I'm just gonna be frank. I'm
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: gonna keep it a bean. I don't know.
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: We've talked about one of the ones. Charli put multiple,
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: We've talked in extensively.
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: You'll put one.
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: Jill put one about loving a couple of the one
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: like Charles list is sick.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: Charlo loves rom coms. But I don't know what her
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: favorite is. I know it is it a wrong com?

- 1:29:17Speaker 4: a Game? Does she like that movie? Does seven happen
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: to be on that list?
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: On Charles? No? Jill laughed.
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: She could not wait to show me that movie. She
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: said was one of her favorites. But I guess that

- 1:38:21Speaker 1: Us, Oh, I mean I know I'm not gonna get that.
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: I'm not gonna get it wrong. But there there's also
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: like a measurement.

- 1:38:42Speaker 2: Ice late with whole milk and simple syrup.
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: I believe the measurement because Athan Ross will have it down,
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: but I believe it's thirty mili liters.
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: M let's go see. We are good. We're good husbands.
- 1:38:53Speaker 4: We're good that when you make Charles coffee sometime right
- 1:38:56Speaker 4: you were bringing up like you make it.
- 1:38:57Speaker 3: Sometimes you did get that one?
- 1:39:00Speaker 2: Well, I make it, but sometimes like, oh there's none enough.
- 1:39:04Speaker 4: Last question, who said between you and your wives? Who
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: said I love you first?
- 1:39:08Speaker 8: Where?
- 1:39:08Speaker 3: And when did it happen? Mine was my bed, laying
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: in bed one night, laying in bed one He has
- 1:39:17Speaker 3: a long answer, but sorry, I was skimming through for that.
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: But yeah, laying in bed one night. I'm going to
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: guess it was her or was it me?
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: Do you want to read her three squeezes? Yeah?
- 1:39:29Speaker 3: Yeah, lovely story.
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: Who did the three squeeze? Yeah, go ahead and read it.
- 1:39:33Speaker 4: This is from Charles. I did squeezed his hand three
- 1:39:36Speaker 4: times and he did it back. Cool because we now
- 1:39:38Speaker 4: do the three hand squeezes with Ruin Scottie. I think
- 1:39:41Speaker 4: we didn't actually say the words until like a week later.
- 1:39:43Speaker 4: It was lying in bed one night at his old
- 1:39:46Speaker 4: Ashbourn townhouse in late June twenty seventeen, right before he
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: took me to bond Tie for the first time for
- 1:39:51Speaker 4: Fourth of July.
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fun, off and the three squeezes is like,
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: that's what we do with the kiddos.
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: That's an epic story. Yeah.
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: I couldn't remember if she squeezed first or if I
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: squeeze first. I just know it was reciprocated, and we
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: both kind of knew what was a little uncomfortable. And
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: then it happens like for real, like a week later.
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: You know, you're kind of playing the game.
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: Uh yeah, yeah, come on man, hey, come on man,
- 1:40:22Speaker 3: Happy Valentine's Day.
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: And then when you see your kiddos doing it with
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: each other one, two, three, I love you.
- 1:40:29Speaker 3: Because they're an egg and you got it.
- 1:40:34Speaker 2: You gotta nurture, you gotta feed it.
- 1:40:36Speaker 3: That's right, that's right. Mine is I did coming back
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: from a date from Dallas and we stopped in the
- 1:40:44Speaker 3: Fort Worth water Gardens. I pulled off I thirty and
- 1:40:48Speaker 3: I took her down to the center of the Fort
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: Worth Water Gardens. I told her I loved her. I'm
- 1:40:53Speaker 3: gonna no, no, no, that's for extra credit. I was about.
- 1:40:58Speaker 3: I was like, we're calling her right already. I'll just
- 1:41:00Speaker 3: read it.
- 1:41:02Speaker 4: Sherman with an exclamation mark. We were driving back from
- 1:41:05Speaker 4: a fun night out in Dallas and he pulled over
- 1:41:07Speaker 4: and took me to the water gardens downtown and told
- 1:41:08Speaker 4: me he loved me for real. But the first time
- 1:41:13Speaker 4: he ever did was we were joking and talking in
- 1:41:16Speaker 4: bed and he said love you and then backtracked because
- 1:41:18Speaker 4: he got embarrassed. And I said, that's not embarrassing because
- 1:41:20Speaker 4: he's my best friend. And then his eyes watered. He
- 1:41:22Speaker 4: got emotional.
- 1:41:24Speaker 3: In all caps, that is also true. I started backtracking
- 1:41:29Speaker 3: because I was trying to play it cool, and she
- 1:41:30Speaker 3: said that's okay. The ye're like, you're my best friend
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: the whole world. And then I sawed tearing up. I
- 1:41:36Speaker 3: was like, I'm your best friend, like I like her.
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: Did she say it back right away or did she
- 1:41:44Speaker 3: say you're my best friend? No? Like she It was
- 1:41:46Speaker 3: like a like I love you back type of thing
- 1:41:50Speaker 3: and saying like you're my favorite person in the world, like,
- 1:41:52Speaker 3: you're my best friend. So when you said love you,
- 1:41:55Speaker 3: did she say I love you too? Yeah, so like
- 1:42:00Speaker 3: that something like that. It wasn't like yeah, yeah, but
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: I'm thinking that's funny.
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: It wasn't like a you know, trying to be oh, dude,
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: you're my best friend.
- 1:42:13Speaker 2: I appreciate that.
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: It was like just friends with Ryan. It wasn't like yes,
- 1:42:19Speaker 3: it wasn't like a friend zone type of thing. It
- 1:42:22Speaker 3: was like her way of like trying to make me
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: feel better in the moment because because she.
- 1:42:27Speaker 2: Didn't say it back right away.
- 1:42:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know though, I don't I don't remember,
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: like what she your lover her man you love hard?
- 1:42:35Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah, but she she is too, she is too.
- 1:42:39Speaker 3: And I can't remember if she said I love you
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: back or like I love you too, but she said
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: something along those lines. And then because I botched that
- 1:42:49Speaker 3: so much, I was like, I want I want to
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: tell her that I love her, like for real. And
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: that's why that's why I did the water garden thing,
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: because we had had such a great date night and
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: I was like her didn't know that, like I do
- 1:43:01Speaker 3: love her, I'm not I'm not scared to share that
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: and the Fort Worth Water Gardens. If you ever go beautiful?
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: Is that the game? Is that the game? That was
- 1:43:16Speaker 3: a fun game. I know you have something at one thirty.
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: We need to wrap here soon. Oh we have for
- 1:43:23Speaker 3: an hour. Yeah, we have some voicemails and emails and emails.
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: Maybe I could play the first one. Yeah, okay, Jared,
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: I'm very sorry. I'm very sorry. Hey, I texted Jared's
- 1:43:41Speaker 3: schedule this morning. I said, this isn't gonna happen, but
- 1:43:43Speaker 3: here's the schedule for the show.
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: You play playable.
- 1:43:48Speaker 8: Okay, Hi, this is Sherman's mom is saying. Me and
- 1:43:56Speaker 8: I have a little bit of a Valentine's horror story.
- 1:44:00Speaker 10: And Sherman was four years old. I gave him a
- 1:44:02Speaker 10: big cardboard heart full of Reesi's peanut butter cups. I
- 1:44:06Speaker 10: watched him had it in the kitchen island while he
- 1:44:09Speaker 10: was at preschool. I could not be trusted. I ate
- 1:44:13Speaker 10: all his reciss peanut butter cups and I had to
- 1:44:16Speaker 10: refill it and did it again, refilled it, did it again.
- 1:44:21Speaker 10: On the third time. He just started bawling, crying, and
- 1:44:25Speaker 10: I was like, okay, I'm gonna either have to switch
- 1:44:27Speaker 10: to some kind of candy I don't like, or I'm
- 1:44:30Speaker 10: gonna have to give up sugar and quit traumatizing my child.
- 1:44:34Speaker 10: So I literally did not eat sugar for ten solid
- 1:44:37Speaker 10: years after the Reese's peanut butter incident.
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: Yo, that is hilarious.
- 1:44:42Speaker 3: And she, like full on wood sent me down each
- 1:44:45Speaker 3: time and be like, honey, I love you so much
- 1:44:49Speaker 3: and I'm so sorry, but I ate all your candy.
- 1:44:53Speaker 3: But I got you another chocolate heart. And I was like,
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: that's okay, I love you, mom. But she did it
- 1:44:59Speaker 3: three times. At that point, I was like, what's goodhead,
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: Just get your own hearted candy. What are you doing?
- 1:45:07Speaker 3: And you're four? I was four. She's a little sir.
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: Sure, I'm sitting on the chair, sweetheart. I love you
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: so very much, but I hate your candy.
- 1:45:19Speaker 3: I did it again. Dag navit, I did it again.
- 1:45:24Speaker 3: She doesn't even say dagnab it.
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: But if I happened to be in her spot, somebody
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: else would hate the candy.
- 1:45:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you know what I mean. You can't go
- 1:45:32Speaker 2: down like that three times in a row in front
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: of your kids.
- 1:45:36Speaker 3: Do you think the dog ate the candy? Yeah? They
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: had to do it. Oh rooster. He jumped on the island.
- 1:45:42Speaker 3: He got in your candy.
- 1:45:43Speaker 9: Stir.
- 1:45:44Speaker 3: I caught him. He was standing on the island. I said,
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: bracester and this when you were at school. She ate
- 1:45:50Speaker 3: the candy we had taken to the vet and everything.
- 1:45:53Speaker 3: He's doing good now we had the pumpy stomach. He's
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: in the backyard. You gotta play with him. Yeah, he
- 1:45:57Speaker 3: go play.
- 1:45:58Speaker 2: He but he hates your candy.
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: I sitting rude down and be like, I eat your
- 1:46:03Speaker 3: candy three times in a row. Yeah, but ten years
- 1:46:08Speaker 3: of sobriety chocolate. Oh it's sugar. Shout out, shout out,
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: miss Amy on the chocolate. Are you Is he gonna drive?
- 1:46:16Speaker 3: I was just about to suggest that, yes you did
- 1:46:19Speaker 3: you do it? Yeah, he's got an interview, Jared, We
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: love you, Thank you with bussing right, Okay, V Days
- 1:46:27Speaker 3: at Chuck E Cheese V Day and Chuck E Cheese.
- 1:46:31Speaker 6: Hello, I'm calling in for the Valentine's Day episode. I
- 1:46:37Speaker 6: heard you guys wanted some good Valentine's Day stories. And
- 1:46:39Speaker 6: I know I'm not a dad, but I'm calling on
- 1:46:42Speaker 6: behalf of my husband because he'd be too embarrassed to
- 1:46:44Speaker 6: share this story. My name is Alexis Juleberry. I live
- 1:46:48Speaker 6: in the Greater Nashville area and my husband is not
- 1:46:51Speaker 6: from here. My birthday is two days before Valentine's Day,
- 1:46:56Speaker 6: so it always gets clumped together, which is okay. But
- 1:47:00Speaker 6: my husband, being the best guy he is, the year
- 1:47:03Speaker 6: we got together, he wanted to make sure that my
- 1:47:07Speaker 6: birthday of Valentine's Day was separate from one another. However,
- 1:47:12Speaker 6: he is not used to Nashville. He never experienced Nashville
- 1:47:16Speaker 6: Valentine's Day. He had only been here for like six
- 1:47:18Speaker 6: months before we went on this date. So I asked
- 1:47:23Speaker 6: him two weeks leading up, are you sure you have
- 1:47:26Speaker 6: a reservation for Valentine's Day? Everywhere is going to be
- 1:47:29Speaker 6: booked late.
- 1:47:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I got it.
- 1:47:31Speaker 6: Don't worry about it. I've got you. We're going to
- 1:47:33Speaker 6: have a great time. He rented us a hotel room.
- 1:47:36Speaker 6: We had a whole day planned. Yeah, it's a great day.
- 1:47:39Speaker 6: We get all dressed up, we go out, have coffee,
- 1:47:43Speaker 6: everything like that, and when we get to the restaurant,
- 1:47:48Speaker 6: I can tell it's booked, booked out, and we're like
- 1:47:51Speaker 6: all excited. We get in there. He didn't make a
- 1:47:53Speaker 6: reservation for any restaurants I had been there, and so
- 1:48:00Speaker 6: when we realized you didn't make any reservations, I realized
- 1:48:06Speaker 6: it pretty quick. I was very, very mad, as you
- 1:48:08Speaker 6: could imagine. So he took me to Sonic and we
- 1:48:12Speaker 6: ate a chili cheese hot dog, and then we went
- 1:48:15Speaker 6: into Chuck E Cheese and we won a bunch of tickets,
- 1:48:18Speaker 6: and then we gave them to all the parents who
- 1:48:20Speaker 6: were spending their Valentine's Day at Chuck.
- 1:48:23Speaker 3: E Cheese just like us.
- 1:48:24Speaker 6: And now here we are five years later, married, two kids,
- 1:48:31Speaker 6: live in our best life, ready to enjoy another Valentine's Day,
- 1:48:34Speaker 6: probably involving chili cheese hot dogs. So we hope you
- 1:48:39Speaker 6: have a great Valentine's Day. Thanks for listening.
- 1:48:43Speaker 3: Bro. The amount of swagger and poise that you have
- 1:48:49Speaker 3: to have as you walk up to a Juice to
- 1:48:52Speaker 3: the Gills restaurant that you know there's no way you're
- 1:48:58Speaker 3: getting a table, There's not a chance in hell. And
- 1:49:02Speaker 3: he was probably walking in with the biggest smile.
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: I wonder if in his mind he just thought he'd
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: be able to walk in and get that, you know
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: what I mean. If she's reminding him and telling him
- 1:49:12Speaker 1: I get you might get it. I've been in the
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: spots where it's like the week of and then you realize, oh,
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: everything's booked out.
- 1:49:17Speaker 3: It's a different ball game out here in Nashville. Really
- 1:49:19Speaker 3: any city, but in Nashville is like wild. It's like
- 1:49:23Speaker 3: a month out. You gotta right, you gotta do it
- 1:49:26Speaker 3: right right. It is nuts. And I'm wondering if in
- 1:49:29Speaker 3: his mind, you know what I mean, like if you
- 1:49:32Speaker 3: didn't book anything, if he had fear walking in that restaurant,
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying, Like the amount of the confidence
- 1:49:40Speaker 3: that you just had to fake. Yeah, I'm like, yeah,
- 1:49:43Speaker 3: we'll get in, they'll get a table, and you see
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: it and it's just bad. And you've already been talking
- 1:49:49Speaker 3: about the restaurant. I love that place. Oh my gosh,
- 1:49:51Speaker 3: you got a reservation that yeah, honey, the guy am
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: what you think? We're gonna go get Julie cheese dogs
- 1:49:58Speaker 3: and Sonic and.
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: You know, Miss empty six's in there giving him an
- 1:50:01Speaker 1: earful Ain't that just have the poise to say? What
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: about Sonic?
- 1:50:09Speaker 3: That was the chunky cheese? I can I can see it.
- 1:50:13Speaker 3: I can see I can see the chunky cheese move.
- 1:50:19Speaker 3: You know, all right, how do we make that's a
- 1:50:23Speaker 3: sick Yeah. Yeah, yeah, he's a good one because he
- 1:50:27Speaker 3: didn't quit. He could. That could have ended in a fight, and.
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: That could have still ended in a fight, but he.
- 1:50:34Speaker 3: Was like, no, no, we're going to Sonic.
- 1:50:38Speaker 2: Pull on up, give this couple of chili cheese dogs.
- 1:50:41Speaker 3: Hit the red button. Yeah. He was walking from the
- 1:50:44Speaker 3: car like looking in the restaurant window. Let's too top,
- 1:50:48Speaker 3: what the table over there? We get that one. And
- 1:50:51Speaker 3: it's funny because when I called him, I was like,
- 1:50:53Speaker 3: make sure they get the table.
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: In the corner, baby, sweet know I got a place
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: for us. Called the owner. They said, nobody's gonna be there.
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: It's all ours. It is all ours, making that left
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: turn into a sonic.
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: Hey, all ours?
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: Also a cheek code. If you're ever here's a dad
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: act for you. When we were at the super Bowl
- 1:51:16Speaker 3: in New Orleans and you wanted to play that dinner
- 1:51:20Speaker 3: with Dave Portnoy, yeah, you looked at me and said, hey,
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: can you make it happen reservation and blah blah blah,
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: and I said yes, not realizing that everything was gonna
- 1:51:30Speaker 3: be booked out. So then I just started telling people
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: on the phone, Hey, I'm with Dave Portnoy's team. We're
- 1:51:36Speaker 3: in town for the Super Bowl, and Dave would love
- 1:51:38Speaker 3: to come have dinner us, not even knowing if Dave
- 1:51:40Speaker 3: was gonna come. Dave loves your restaurant and cannot wait
- 1:51:45Speaker 3: to go get dinner there, and he's gonna have a
- 1:51:46Speaker 3: party of about this big and every single place said absolutely,
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: we love Dave Porton and blah blah. So just give
- 1:51:53Speaker 3: him a celebrity name. Hey, Sharom's always thinking on his feet.
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: Give nobody figuring it out because they're like, oh yeah,
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: make it happen.
- 1:52:00Speaker 3: Give him a celebrity name. Hey, Owen Wilson loves your
- 1:52:05Speaker 3: resid Sorry, I'm calling on behalf of Owen Wilson. He's
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: actually he's in town. He's shooting a film and he
- 1:52:10Speaker 3: has been going on and on about your restaurant. He
- 1:52:13Speaker 3: would love to dine there this evening. Is there any
- 1:52:16Speaker 3: way we could get a table for four? And what
- 1:52:17Speaker 3: they do, what they did with me on the phones.
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: Let me go speak with management, blah blah blah. It'll
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: take about two minutes and they will be the most excited,
- 1:52:26Speaker 3: cheerful person on the other side of the phone when
- 1:52:28Speaker 3: they get back because that manager's like Owen Wilson. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:52:33Speaker 3: we'll have a table for four.
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: Hey, that's a hack too.
- 1:52:36Speaker 3: That's a hack, dude, because.
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: They don't when is a Wilson. He couldn't join us tonight.
- 1:52:43Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, we just got a call from from Owen.
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: Yeah, his flight was supposed to land in New York.
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: You know he's in parachuting that film his flight got the.
- 1:52:54Speaker 3: Latest embarrassing too, because I'm sure y'all been over backwards.
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: Yeah for oh mind, but.
- 1:52:59Speaker 1: Out of specially you guys. I know, we said, Ford,
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: do you mind? Like we had two kids. I figured
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: we'd just take them along with us.
- 1:53:06Speaker 3: Give us something to go food, we'll take it back
- 1:53:08Speaker 3: for in an hotel. Yeah. There the kids are waiting
- 1:53:11Speaker 3: outside the restaurant. We have our driver coming and dropping
- 1:53:15Speaker 3: off our kids.
- 1:53:16Speaker 2: Heyes, we don't make sure you get an uber black.
- 1:53:18Speaker 3: Hey, y'all come in, you'll come in. Hey, you know
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: how you can do that message thing to him? Tell
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: the driver to walk in, mister Compton, your children? Oh yes, Jeeves, hello,
- 1:53:31Speaker 3: my driver?
- 1:53:31Speaker 2: What is uh batman's butler's name?
- 1:53:34Speaker 3: Alfred?
- 1:53:36Speaker 2: Oh Alfred, glad you made it buddy. Sorry, that's our guy.
- 1:53:40Speaker 3: How's the blocked out Lincoln Navigator with full leather seas
- 1:53:45Speaker 3: it's a good sold Wilson couldn't come. No, oh no shit,
- 1:53:54Speaker 3: the marriage just heeling to the manager. He said he was.
- 1:53:57Speaker 2: Alfred said he was sitting at the airport for over
- 1:53:59Speaker 2: an hour.
- 1:54:02Speaker 3: The managers so pissed, just sit there staring at everything.
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: He has no way to prove it. Oh but yeah,
- 1:54:10Speaker 3: maybe that maybe you do that, you know. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:54:14Speaker 3: that's some game. That's a dad hack right there. That's
- 1:54:16Speaker 3: a dad hack all right. Could have gone to Chick
- 1:54:19Speaker 3: fil Ay.
- 1:54:20Speaker 11: I got a Valentine's Day story for this is Matt
- 1:54:22Speaker 11: Webb from Winston Salem, North Carolina. Valentine's Day about six
- 1:54:27Speaker 11: years ago, my wife was pregnant with her oldest and
- 1:54:30Speaker 11: I took her to a super nice and pretty pricey
- 1:54:34Speaker 11: steakhouse here in town and we both ordered the filet
- 1:54:37Speaker 11: mignon with some sides because that stuff was good. And
- 1:54:40Speaker 11: on the way home, all I'm thinking about it's riding
- 1:54:43Speaker 11: that shockwave.
- 1:54:44Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying.
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: I know what you're saying.
- 1:54:47Speaker 11: So we got home and then the pregnancy sickness kicked in,
- 1:54:52Speaker 11: and then that dinner she ate it came up and
- 1:54:55Speaker 11: I was no longer thinking about the shockwave.
- 1:54:58Speaker 3: Oh, I was thinking, besh, we could have went to Chick.
- 1:55:02Speaker 11: Fil a if I knew you were going to throw
- 1:55:04Speaker 11: off that thirty dollars steak. Luckily, my wife is a
- 1:55:08Speaker 11: g and we joke about to this day every Valentine's Day.
- 1:55:12Speaker 3: So hey, boys, keep up the good work.
- 1:55:15Speaker 11: Pet six out.
- 1:55:17Speaker 3: When you said you weren't thinking about the shockwave anymore,
- 1:55:20Speaker 3: it reminded me of ruter up and will just go
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: put down on it. He put a dowel on it.
- 1:55:40Speaker 3: It's all good, honey. You're holding their hairs. Yes, yes,
- 1:55:59Speaker 3: it ain't over. It's over holding the hair, yack.
- 1:56:03Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden, the you know, here's
- 1:56:05Speaker 1: a sip of water, sweeter your older hair. They got
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: wonder if you know we still Oh, I gotta go
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: to bed right after this.
- 1:56:10Speaker 3: Fuck. You probably feel a lot better after getting all
- 1:56:16Speaker 3: that out of here, like you probably you probably feel
- 1:56:19Speaker 3: better than you.
- 1:56:21Speaker 2: Like I gotta go bed. You're like fucking man, It's
- 1:56:23Speaker 2: like you probably feel better right.
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: You know, every time I throw up, I'm always feeling
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: like lighter, like I can I can do anything.
- 1:56:29Speaker 3: Something and before when you weren't feeling good, you were
- 1:56:33Speaker 3: down for the shockway. So now that you feel better,
- 1:56:35Speaker 3: you're probably even more like, let's say, let's do it,
- 1:56:37Speaker 3: you know, let's ride Chock White thrice. That's incredible, incredible.
- 1:56:46Speaker 3: Also built in BP uh or BC sorry, built in
- 1:56:53Speaker 3: during pregnancy. It's a little built in BC for you
- 1:56:56Speaker 3: BC birth control. Yeah, that's why he was excited. Yeah, man, yeah, no,
- 1:57:03Speaker 3: sweat you Nothing.
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: Takes someone out of your sales like no oning. It
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: ain't gonna happen when you had it on your mind.
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: It's like when I flew back and off the two
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: hours and a half ours sleep and see my wife
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: all week, kind of excited, you know, maybe a little
- 1:57:14Speaker 1: touchy touch he love he love you.
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: You excited to see dad. And then when his I
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: and I'm tired.
- 1:57:19Speaker 3: I gotta but you got that extra credit, will Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:57:26Speaker 3: built up some equity. Yeah what what did I What
- 1:57:30Speaker 3: did I text my wife? A lot of editing this episode?
- 1:57:34Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, what did I say? I love that
- 1:57:39Speaker 3: your dad? Actually to avoid getting pregnant, get your wife pregnant,
- 1:57:44Speaker 3: and then you can't get her pregnant again for nine months?
- 1:57:48Speaker 3: Isn't that sick. What did Dad just a pregnator and
- 1:57:57Speaker 3: then you're good for nine months? You'll be fis Oh man,
- 1:58:01Speaker 3: I should have added this to the last part of
- 1:58:03Speaker 3: the story, so you know how Shoot, they went out
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: to dinner, cocktails, drinks and everything else.
- 1:58:07Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: She ended up texting me around like eight thirty, like
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: once dinner reservation started. She's like, how's it going? Love
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: babies asleep? Does freedom away? I said, taking in water
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: right now? Oh yeah, I forgot about all of this,
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: I said, reading the rue out right now. The plunge
- 1:58:22Speaker 1: tub was leaking, so I had to clean up. I like,
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: I like six towels on the floor because I was
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: trying to hook it up. Yes, and it was leaking,
- 1:58:30Speaker 1: and Rue she's like, dadad water And I was like, yes,
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: we heard stuff splashing in the in the tub and
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: she's like, no, dadad look And I like looking, there's
- 1:58:37Speaker 1: like water leaking like toward the door in that room.
- 1:58:39Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh, son of a bitch. I started
- 1:58:41Speaker 2: like putting towels.
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: I started putting towels down over it.
- 1:58:49Speaker 3: But now it's good.
- 1:58:52Speaker 1: Every was like I couldn't get wait and Rue takes
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: off out of the room. She comes back in the room.
- 1:58:55Speaker 1: She's got a rain boots on.
- 1:58:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, oh yeah.
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: And then she's like, I was like, this is still
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: in the sink. She said, oh, oh Jesus. I said,
- 1:59:03Speaker 1: are you having fun? She said, I am. Thank you
- 1:59:06Speaker 1: for letting me have a day, a day and night
- 1:59:08Speaker 1: with Teddy. We just got to sushi and I shot
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: her a little kissy emoji and then I said payment
- 1:59:14Speaker 1: will be accepted. So when I say payment will be accepted,
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: that's why I start taking some chicken cheta in to
- 1:59:19Speaker 1: the face a little bit, like, you know, we got
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: have a little bit of fun tonight.
- 1:59:23Speaker 3: So I think that Tequila the chicken China had already
- 1:59:29Speaker 3: been bored.
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: I was getting a little you know, you know what
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: that was the peanut butter show. Because they might be
- 1:59:36Speaker 1: coming back in a good move. Why he's gonna be
- 1:59:38Speaker 1: all excited, first night back, first day back.
- 1:59:41Speaker 3: Yeah, she loves me.
- 1:59:43Speaker 1: Yeah, like, oh gosh, I'm tired. And I just remember
- 1:59:46Speaker 1: her laying on my shoulder and I was like, uh,
- 1:59:48Speaker 1: you fall asleep. She's like, oh yeah, yeah, I'm fall asleep.
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: I was like, all right, and then that's kind of
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: when you move the shoulder over a little bit more
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: and you're just like, well.
- 1:59:58Speaker 2: I guess I'll just go to sleep.
- 2:00:00Speaker 3: My face is numb, you know that's that's weird. You're
- 2:00:03Speaker 3: falling asleep by hey, Yeah, I'm falling asleep too. That's crazy.
- 2:00:11Speaker 2: But guess it's not a sleep.
- 2:00:15Speaker 3: What was the.
- 2:00:17Speaker 2: What was the nickname of the that he named, Matthew McConaughey.
- 2:00:20Speaker 8: Oh.
- 2:00:22Speaker 3: Something, the Warrior King? What uh? What does she nickname it?
- 2:00:28Speaker 3: She nicknames it something like you know, pee wee. And
- 2:00:31Speaker 3: he's like, no, it's got me. Crow the Warrior Yeah, Crow,
- 2:00:34Speaker 3: the Warrior King.
- 2:00:35Speaker 2: Crow the Warrior King. He's he's away, he's ready to go.
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: You out, Okay, you're a sleep.
- 2:00:41Speaker 3: And see Jill would love that reference because that's from
- 2:00:44Speaker 3: her favorite film, How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days,
- 2:00:48Speaker 3: So that will probably she'll love that. She'll laugh at
- 2:00:50Speaker 3: that one. Teddy for another girl, good one.
- 2:00:56Speaker 5: Good one was going Clay from Cincinnati here, saw your
- 2:01:03Speaker 5: post about Valentine's Day. Got a bad gift story for
- 2:01:07Speaker 5: you guys. Just want to say thank you. First off,
- 2:01:10Speaker 5: got a four month old here, found the podcast a
- 2:01:12Speaker 5: couple months before he got here, So you guys have
- 2:01:16Speaker 5: helped me through a ton. Me and my fiance have
- 2:01:21Speaker 5: been together since high school. I was fourteen at the time.
- 2:01:24Speaker 5: I had bought a Teddy Bear for her for Valentine's Day.
- 2:01:29Speaker 5: Well kind of, that's what she thought. I bought it
- 2:01:32Speaker 5: for the girl I was talking to before and never
- 2:01:35Speaker 5: gave it to her. So I was just sitting there
- 2:01:36Speaker 5: in the closet. So my fourteen year old brain, I thought,
- 2:01:39Speaker 5: this is a great idea.
- 2:01:40Speaker 3: Let's give it to her.
- 2:01:42Speaker 5: She gets it, loves it. A couple of years down
- 2:01:45Speaker 5: the road she finds out it wasn't originally for her. Good,
- 2:01:50Speaker 5: you know, let's bail out of that one. Still to
- 2:01:53Speaker 5: this day I hear about it. Twenty or twenty three
- 2:01:56Speaker 5: now whoops.
- 2:01:58Speaker 3: So yeah, been.
- 2:01:59Speaker 5: Together since twenty seventeen, going on nine years, married next year.
- 2:02:05Speaker 5: A little four month old Geordie as happy as could be,
- 2:02:07Speaker 5: sitting here, smiling at me.
- 2:02:08Speaker 3: Talking to you guys. Now, thanks for all you guys
- 2:02:11Speaker 3: do Bye. I love that you say. It was twenty
- 2:02:15Speaker 3: fourteen when it happened, fourteen.
- 2:02:18Speaker 2: When it happened fourteen, But they're still together at twenty three.
- 2:02:20Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh man, that is a fourteen year old male
- 2:02:24Speaker 3: mind at work right there. Oh, yeah, something left in
- 2:02:27Speaker 3: the closet. Why go buy a new one. Yeah, just
- 2:02:30Speaker 3: use this what I got the information. Oh dude, they
- 2:02:33Speaker 3: gotta go, they gotta go. I I in a similar vein.
- 2:02:39Speaker 3: I guess I was talking to someone at the time.
- 2:02:44Speaker 3: We weren't openly dating to the world at the time,
- 2:02:48Speaker 3: and she received flowers and was like, oh my gosh, like,
- 2:02:53Speaker 3: thank you so much for these sladers. I was I
- 2:02:57Speaker 3: didn't send them, and a part of me was like
- 2:03:00Speaker 3: I need to claim it, but I was like, I
- 2:03:02Speaker 3: didn't send those, and it was it was another shooter.
- 2:03:05Speaker 3: It was very uh it was interesting. I was like,
- 2:03:09Speaker 3: you just.
- 2:03:09Speaker 2: Respond, I'm glad you're so happy.
- 2:03:11Speaker 3: Yeah, well, yeah, I could have. I could have gone
- 2:03:14Speaker 3: with the Owen Wilson. You know. I actually sent those
- 2:03:16Speaker 3: flowers on behalf of me, so think Owen Wilson. But yeah, dude,
- 2:03:21Speaker 3: it was That's always awkward.
- 2:03:23Speaker 2: Not a good spot to be. Yeah.
- 2:03:25Speaker 3: Torona is one of our first I think, like our
- 2:03:27Speaker 3: first Valentine, so where the relationship wasn't defined. Uhh.
- 2:03:32Speaker 1: But she was at the house and she got me something,
- 2:03:35Speaker 1: and I'm like, I didn't get her anything. So I
- 2:03:37Speaker 1: didn't really know what to do. She didn't make it
- 2:03:39Speaker 1: seem like it was a big deal. Yeah, but it
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: eventually felt like a big deal. And I kind of
- 2:03:44Speaker 1: didn't know. That's that's almost that's.
- 2:03:47Speaker 3: A slippery slope. That's the same thing, because it's like
- 2:03:50Speaker 3: I'm sitting there going, damn, I should have got flowers.
- 2:03:53Speaker 3: I guess, like, what's first off, what's going on there? Secondly,
- 2:03:57Speaker 3: I should have done that, and they Oh, Villa and
- 2:04:00Speaker 3: I's first Valentine's was so botched. It was. It was
- 2:04:03Speaker 3: the worst Valentine's Day of all time. I know, we
- 2:04:06Speaker 3: have like a ton of voicemails to get through, but
- 2:04:09Speaker 3: I watched my very first Valentines with Jill. I still
- 2:04:12Speaker 3: wouldn't consider that first Valentine's or Valentine's the.
- 2:04:15Speaker 2: One where she got you a gift, because clearly I wasn't. Yeah, hey,
- 2:04:19Speaker 2: you know, that's a moment.
- 2:04:22Speaker 3: There's a moment.
- 2:04:22Speaker 2: But look at us now, yeah, look at us now, kiddos.
- 2:04:27Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, Uh, this is v day Daddy Daughter dance.
- 2:04:34Speaker 3: What's up? Boys?
- 2:04:34Speaker 12: Dylan from Cincinnati?
- 2:04:36Speaker 6: Uh?
- 2:04:36Speaker 12: Driving Dylan from a Daddy Daughter Valentine's Day ballet class. Uh,
- 2:04:41Speaker 12: currently with my two year old in the back.
- 2:04:43Speaker 11: Uh.
- 2:04:43Speaker 12: Your boys gotten teary eyed after doing that kind of
- 2:04:46Speaker 12: class dancing with my little.
- 2:04:48Speaker 3: Girl, because it's crazy how fast it really does go.
- 2:04:52Speaker 12: And uh yeah, I just wanted to keep the mentality
- 2:04:55Speaker 12: of it is okay for the men to cry our
- 2:04:58Speaker 12: voice good talk.
- 2:05:00Speaker 3: Yeah, Danny boy, what a dad Crying's cool.
- 2:05:05Speaker 2: We've done it a couple of times already on this sude.
- 2:05:07Speaker 3: We have made Jared cry, We made Jered cry. I
- 2:05:13Speaker 3: wonder if Demon enjoyed, if he had fun being on
- 2:05:16Speaker 3: the pod.
- 2:05:16Speaker 2: I think so. He tells me he listens to it.
- 2:05:19Speaker 3: Let's go. He was texting.
- 2:05:20Speaker 4: We were just texting last night and he was like, no,
- 2:05:22Speaker 4: I'm super excited. He's like, I just want to sit
- 2:05:24Speaker 4: in with you guys, and like hear it. So I
- 2:05:26Speaker 4: feel like obviously timing and stuff, but he had a
- 2:05:28Speaker 4: good time.
- 2:05:28Speaker 3: Good yeah, good good, good, good v day. Shout out
- 2:05:33Speaker 3: to wifey.
- 2:05:37Speaker 9: Hey, guys will sharn. Boys in the back. Just wanted
- 2:05:42Speaker 9: to say, what's up. My name is Mason. I just
- 2:05:45Speaker 9: had a beat or my wife and I just had
- 2:05:48Speaker 9: a baby boy one month ago today on the fifth,
- 2:05:52Speaker 9: and I can't describe how crazy it feels. But I
- 2:05:56Speaker 9: wanted to give a huge Valentine's Day shout out to
- 2:06:00Speaker 9: my wonderful wife and the mother of our child to say, hey,
- 2:06:06Speaker 9: you did such an amazing job. I can't believe we're
- 2:06:09Speaker 9: already one month in and our baby is so lucky
- 2:06:13Speaker 9: to have you. So happy Valentine's Day, I love you
- 2:06:16Speaker 9: so much, fellas. Thank you for all you do, keeping
- 2:06:21Speaker 9: me grinding through the trenches of late nights and helping
- 2:06:25Speaker 9: out as best as I can. I'm just getting back
- 2:06:27Speaker 9: from my first work trip away from the baby. I'll
- 2:06:30Speaker 9: get back later this afternoon. Good, but can't describe the
- 2:06:34Speaker 9: feeling and how excited I am to get home. But
- 2:06:36Speaker 9: I just wanted to give that shout out to her
- 2:06:38Speaker 9: milk team six.
- 2:06:39Speaker 3: You guys are the best. Love you fellas, Love you too,
- 2:06:44Speaker 3: Love you too. And what a move by him of Oh,
- 2:06:46Speaker 3: he was off at a work trip and I've been
- 2:06:48Speaker 3: all alone here in da Dad and honey, check out
- 2:06:51Speaker 3: this pot.
- 2:06:51Speaker 2: You check out the pot, check out the shout out.
- 2:06:53Speaker 2: What was his name?
- 2:06:57Speaker 3: Well stern boys and one of these hey guys, well,
- 2:07:05Speaker 3: I guess he didn't say, didn't say, he didn't say?
- 2:07:08Speaker 3: Once he shows her the shout out. These guys babies
- 2:07:12Speaker 3: what one month old? Uh huh, that's gonna be nice
- 2:07:15Speaker 3: and easy.
- 2:07:17Speaker 2: That's uh so one month old?
- 2:07:18Speaker 8: Er?
- 2:07:18Speaker 2: About what four or five weeks in?
- 2:07:20Speaker 3: Yeah? And what's that that six week mark? There's something
- 2:07:24Speaker 3: there that is is it like.
- 2:07:25Speaker 1: Six weeks or eight weeks where they come off the
- 2:07:27Speaker 1: pup list? It's six eight physically unable to perform?
- 2:07:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it depends. It depends on how it seems
- 2:07:36Speaker 3: like she's still on the pup list. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:07:39Speaker 3: it depends how the baby was delivered, I believe, because
- 2:07:42Speaker 3: if it's a cesarean section like the it's a little
- 2:07:47Speaker 3: different then, like you want to say, Charle was like
- 2:07:49Speaker 3: eight weeks, okay, I think it was like six for Jill.
- 2:07:53Speaker 3: That what C stands for. I believe.
- 2:07:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, man, say that word again, cesarean.
- 2:08:01Speaker 3: It's a mesopota.
- 2:08:02Speaker 2: I'll tell you what you're still in that.
- 2:08:06Speaker 1: Still in that phase of pup list ude, something like this,
- 2:08:09Speaker 1: like how you're gonna celebrate on Valentine's Day.
- 2:08:11Speaker 3: He's building that resume. She could put a bowl on top.
- 2:08:20Speaker 3: Mm hm. You know there's other options, right, it's Valentine's Day.
- 2:08:35Speaker 1: Just because one ride shut down doesn't mean we have
- 2:08:36Speaker 1: to shut down the whole park, right, baby.
- 2:08:40Speaker 3: Is what I want you should though, But on this podcast,
- 2:08:45Speaker 3: skip to this time, Cup, I'm gonna go just give
- 2:08:50Speaker 3: get that of your second, just give him a second
- 2:08:53Speaker 3: and then just come in just wearing a bow only
- 2:08:56Speaker 3: about what you want to do. I gotta give you, honey,
- 2:09:07Speaker 3: I love you God. Yeah, congratulations, congratulations.
- 2:09:15Speaker 2: Yes, wife, just in the middle of postpartum.
- 2:09:21Speaker 3: It's absolutely sick to your stomach, still getting met Like
- 2:09:25Speaker 3: four moles are everywhere, she said, having hold it down.
- 2:09:33Speaker 3: She hasn't been sleeping with the one month old. Hair
- 2:09:36Speaker 3: is everywhere. She's like in her bathroom. Just you know
- 2:09:40Speaker 3: SpongeBob and that uh that baby episode with Patrick he
- 2:09:44Speaker 3: comes home and you won't meet him. Suck you, that's
- 2:09:49Speaker 3: what you're asking me. And then phrasy like that, I said,
- 2:09:54Speaker 3: smoke my pipe. That is way different. That is much different.
- 2:10:00Speaker 3: But congratulations, Yeah, congratulation, slippery slip of a conversation. But
- 2:10:04Speaker 3: you never know, Yeah, you never know. There's always a
- 2:10:06Speaker 3: way that you can kind of you never know. You
- 2:10:08Speaker 3: never never know, you never know miss all the shots.
- 2:10:13Speaker 3: You don't you want me to top you off? Is
- 2:10:20Speaker 3: that what you and your little group chat say, give
- 2:10:25Speaker 3: me headtop. You need to playing that music like I
- 2:10:30Speaker 3: can't hear it. Hold your balls, give it. In a
- 2:10:35Speaker 3: work trip you're blaring give me headtop when you pull
- 2:10:39Speaker 3: into the driveway, like I don't notice. You don't listen
- 2:10:43Speaker 3: to that kind of garbage. Honey, Hey, oh you think
- 2:10:50Speaker 3: I'm gonna throw on Freakly? Oh God, never listen to freakingly.
- 2:10:57Speaker 3: Caunless your horny, honey, you never put it on honey
- 2:11:03Speaker 3: song Valentines.
- 2:11:06Speaker 13: Hey, boys, this really isn't a Valentine's Day story, but
- 2:11:09Speaker 13: I just.
- 2:11:10Speaker 3: I do want to pause really quick. We did put
- 2:11:12Speaker 3: out in our social media to make it easier for
- 2:11:15Speaker 3: Derek to find Valentine's Day stories. To start the voicemail
- 2:11:18Speaker 3: off by saying, Valentine's one guy followed the rules. I
- 2:11:21Speaker 3: got followed the rules a sicko.
- 2:11:23Speaker 13: I just want to wish a huge happy Valentine's Day
- 2:11:27Speaker 13: to my wife Beck. Just want to say, you know
- 2:11:30Speaker 13: when you know you found the one we met summer
- 2:11:33Speaker 13: of twenty thirteen and entered buds right away. I'm talking
- 2:11:37Speaker 13: this empty Sicico even laid a bit upside down for
- 2:11:41Speaker 13: a minute to make sure the amo hit the target.
- 2:11:44Speaker 13: Probably should have kept that one classified though. We've been
- 2:11:48Speaker 13: in the trenches for eleven years now, battling with our
- 2:11:50Speaker 13: two soldiers eleven and two and a half years old,
- 2:11:53Speaker 13: and couldn't be happier. Every day I sit back and think,
- 2:11:58Speaker 13: how do I get so lucky? From buds in twenty
- 2:12:02Speaker 13: thirteen to living in Australia for our first birth aka
- 2:12:06Speaker 13: D Day, to getting the entire family back to the States,
- 2:12:09Speaker 13: to our second D day a couple of years ago.
- 2:12:14Speaker 13: This woman is my world and such a gangster and
- 2:12:17Speaker 13: I hope she knows it much. Loved boys, and keep
- 2:12:20Speaker 13: fighting the good fight for us.
- 2:12:22Speaker 2: Dance love y'all, Love you too.
- 2:12:25Speaker 3: Hey, that's an empty sicho. Dude hitting the wall the
- 2:12:28Speaker 3: wall stand Yeah, to make sure.
- 2:12:31Speaker 2: Oh side down.
- 2:12:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I've heard that. That is a rumor. By the way,
- 2:12:38Speaker 3: I don't know if that's true.
- 2:12:40Speaker 1: I think every parent has come across this type of lord.
- 2:12:44Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, dude, this is the reality.
- 2:12:48Speaker 3: I'm a believer in that kind of lord. Like I
- 2:12:50Speaker 3: am no expert. Who's the guest always comes on that
- 2:12:53Speaker 3: says how to make a boy? The guy that came
- 2:12:56Speaker 3: on busting and he was like, this is how you
- 2:12:58Speaker 3: make a boy. Dude to left, to the right. Oh uh,
- 2:13:01Speaker 3: Randall Cobb, Randall Cobb. I can't like. I don't know.
- 2:13:05Speaker 3: I just believe in that stuff.
- 2:13:06Speaker 2: One in the middle. Let a drizzle in the middle.
- 2:13:08Speaker 2: Let a drizzle.
- 2:13:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You eat a lot of acidic food,
- 2:13:11Speaker 3: it's gonna be a girl. You eat a lot of
- 2:13:13Speaker 3: bass foods, there'll be a boy. You hold the legs
- 2:13:18Speaker 3: up to the tummy. You know you have the word
- 2:13:20Speaker 3: for thirty minutes. I'm you know you don't want raw.
- 2:13:23Speaker 2: You're in the wrong show. Yeah, dude, you know what
- 2:13:26Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 2:13:26Speaker 3: Yeah, if you want somebody to go, well, actually it
- 2:13:29Speaker 3: says you're on track ebt. Yeah, I don't care. Hey,
- 2:13:33Speaker 3: I's ruining everything. Let's do another, do another voicemail? Did
- 2:13:40Speaker 3: you say one more? Last one? Yeah?
- 2:13:41Speaker 2: Yeah, last one?
- 2:13:46Speaker 14: Hey heard you boys needed some Valentine's Day stories. Yes, sir,
- 2:13:50Speaker 14: my name is Josh from Jefferson City, Tennessee, and Valentine's
- 2:13:54Speaker 14: Day twenty twenty five changed.
- 2:13:56Speaker 3: My life forever.
- 2:13:57Speaker 14: It's good just today that I officially joined Papatine. My
- 2:14:01Speaker 14: little man, Elliott is turning one on February the fourteenth.
- 2:14:06Speaker 14: I'm sad about how fast that this first year is gone,
- 2:14:10Speaker 14: but I'm really proud of the boy that he's becoming.
- 2:14:12Speaker 14: You know, his personality is really starting to shine. He's
- 2:14:16Speaker 14: just he's the funniest, silliest little dude.
- 2:14:18Speaker 5: Man.
- 2:14:20Speaker 14: My wife and I are also high school sweethearts, so
- 2:14:23Speaker 14: this year will be our twelfth Valentine's Day together. So
- 2:14:27Speaker 14: last year was wildly different experience from the previous ones.
- 2:14:30Speaker 14: But you know, this day will never exactly be the
- 2:14:34Speaker 14: same again, but I'm glad that it happened this way.
- 2:14:39Speaker 3: Elliott is the best of both of.
- 2:14:41Speaker 14: Us, so him coming on Valentine's Day is just a
- 2:14:43Speaker 14: perfect representation of that. I wouldn't change the thing about
- 2:14:47Speaker 14: that if I had the chance to. Oh and sure,
- 2:14:50Speaker 14: I'm afraid I didn't get my couch badge either.
- 2:14:53Speaker 3: In both the.
- 2:14:53Speaker 14: Delivery room and on the mother baby unit they moved
- 2:14:56Speaker 14: us to after After the delivery, I had a chair
- 2:14:59Speaker 14: that pulled out out. It basically made a small bed.
- 2:15:02Speaker 14: Man I slept like a king.
- 2:15:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:15:04Speaker 14: But Valentine's Day to my beautiful wife, Mikayla, and a
- 2:15:08Speaker 14: happy first birthday to my son Elliott. Thank you fellas
- 2:15:12Speaker 14: for taking the time to listen and go big Orange.
- 2:15:15Speaker 3: Hey, come home God, Chef, don't you just love love?
- 2:15:20Speaker 3: I love love. Chef would have loved that member of
- 2:15:23Speaker 3: cheer Force. One. Shout out Josh, shout out Mikayla, his Wifey,
- 2:15:31Speaker 3: It's just this story again. I love love, I love love,
- 2:15:35Speaker 3: and I love the high school sweetheart stuff. Yeah, just
- 2:15:39Speaker 3: hearing mom or dadd either one just talk, you know,
- 2:15:43Speaker 3: shut out their other, shut out being a parent. Jill's
- 2:15:47Speaker 3: friend Lauren, that's here in town, their high school sweethearts,
- 2:15:51Speaker 3: her husband and her I love hearing stories like that, dude,
- 2:15:56Speaker 3: cause it is kind of funny just how people, you know,
- 2:15:58Speaker 3: dads and moms out there, they're not to be here forever.
- 2:16:01Speaker 3: You're being so dramatic about it. And the fact that
- 2:16:03Speaker 3: like people find love at that age or like emotionally
- 2:16:07Speaker 3: mature enough to be like, no, I want to be
- 2:16:09Speaker 3: with this person. I want to develop, like the love
- 2:16:13Speaker 3: to grow in our relationship, to grow. It blows my
- 2:16:16Speaker 3: mind because me at eighteen, yeah, I mean, lord, the
- 2:16:21Speaker 3: rarity of those things actually happening. Yes, again, our brains
- 2:16:25Speaker 3: like aren't fully developed until what close to thirty or
- 2:16:27Speaker 3: maybe thirty. It's still working on it. Yeah, still work.
- 2:16:30Speaker 2: I'm still developing. My brain's still developing.
- 2:16:33Speaker 3: I'm throwing my boxes into other people's dumpsters and they're
- 2:16:36Speaker 3: getting left in my driveway. I'm thirty two years old.
- 2:16:40Speaker 3: I'm a man, I'm an adult. That's really cool. Yeah,
- 2:16:48Speaker 3: Gbo Man, Gbo, go big Orange. Eliot his son shout
- 2:16:53Speaker 3: out Elliott.
- 2:16:54Speaker 4: We'll say too. We had a huge number of callings
- 2:16:58Speaker 4: for it. It was tough to narrow it down, so
- 2:17:00Speaker 4: thank you to everybody in PT six that did call
- 2:17:02Speaker 4: in or send us an email in.
- 2:17:03Speaker 3: It was tough to narrow down, but we had a
- 2:17:05Speaker 3: lot of submissions. And the DA moment right there, a
- 2:17:07Speaker 3: few people are hitting their steering wheel, like, damn it, God,
- 2:17:12Speaker 3: they're done. I thought my story was good. I thought
- 2:17:15Speaker 3: it was good, and it probably was. Yeah, yeah, it
- 2:17:18Speaker 3: probably was. We have to clear that phone still, how
- 2:17:22Speaker 3: often do you clear that phone weekly? At this point?
- 2:17:25Speaker 4: That's christ that skit that we sent you guys, well
- 2:17:28Speaker 4: it storage maxed out like four times just shooting those videos,
- 2:17:32Speaker 4: just voicemails, texts and emails.
- 2:17:34Speaker 3: On that phone or crazy.
- 2:17:35Speaker 2: That's nuts.
- 2:17:37Speaker 3: Shut up PT six and EMT six in Empty six.
- 2:17:41Speaker 3: It just boys being boys, just having a little fun, dude,
- 2:17:46Speaker 3: I got some I got an email here.
- 2:17:47Speaker 1: Let's dive into some emails. I got one from Cody Boys.
- 2:17:51Speaker 1: Cody here. My wife Caitlin and I were just in
- 2:17:53Speaker 1: Knoxville last week for our IVF transfer. Baby expected in October.
- 2:17:57Speaker 1: It's been a long journey getting to this point. We
- 2:17:59Speaker 1: had did embryos to start our family and we can't wait.
- 2:18:03Speaker 1: It's still early. We're sending up a lot of prayers
- 2:18:06Speaker 1: for positive results, but we're very hopeful and excited. Thank
- 2:18:09Speaker 1: you all for what you guys do and keep and
- 2:18:12Speaker 1: keeping us looking forward to every Wednesday. Hashtag ptsikos, hashtag
- 2:18:17Speaker 1: GBR Cody Caitlin.
- 2:18:19Speaker 2: Good luck, good luck, good luck?
- 2:18:21Speaker 3: Man? I do.
- 2:18:22Speaker 2: I hope everything goes well. I hope everything comes back positive.
- 2:18:25Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:18:25Speaker 1: It's like you're sitting there at all times having a
- 2:18:28Speaker 1: lot of optimism but also a lot of mixed with
- 2:18:30Speaker 1: anxiety at the same time, or the fear of it
- 2:18:32Speaker 1: not working out and use you. So you get nervous
- 2:18:36Speaker 1: to be so opt like to be so to have
- 2:18:40Speaker 1: so much optimism, and then you're like, man, do I
- 2:18:44Speaker 1: need to temper my expectations because if it doesn't happen
- 2:18:46Speaker 1: and it crushes us like am I you know? Is
- 2:18:49Speaker 1: my emotional it's my emotional level like ready for that?
- 2:18:53Speaker 1: And then it's like, oh man, why not be excited
- 2:18:54Speaker 1: about this? It is an exciting time in alive. It's
- 2:18:56Speaker 1: such like a mental pretzel going through like a fertility journey.
- 2:19:00Speaker 1: If it doesn't happen for you naturally, but good luck,
- 2:19:03Speaker 1: good luck to both you, and good luck to you
- 2:19:05Speaker 1: and Klen go big red Valentine's.
- 2:19:09Speaker 3: Valentine's Day, I have one from Sean Bingham. How's it going? Boys?
- 2:19:15Speaker 3: Back when my wife and I first started dating in college,
- 2:19:18Speaker 3: we were going to go out to eat, but decided
- 2:19:20Speaker 3: to go to Taco Bell instead because we were in
- 2:19:23Speaker 3: a hurry with classes. Wife was not happy when we
- 2:19:27Speaker 3: went to Taco Bell. It took a while to build
- 2:19:29Speaker 3: my brownie points back up. Fast forward a year and
- 2:19:33Speaker 3: we decided we are going to go somewhere nice to eat.
- 2:19:36Speaker 3: Of course, being in college, red Lobster was considered nice. Lol.
- 2:19:40Speaker 3: In Olive Garden, Hey, come on, come on, I can
- 2:19:43Speaker 3: mess with both of those. I'll back come on. Went
- 2:19:47Speaker 3: to Red Lobster. It was snowing, freezing cold outside, and
- 2:19:50Speaker 3: I was told there is a two hour wait because
- 2:19:52Speaker 3: being an idiot, I didn't make a reservation. We were
- 2:19:56Speaker 3: waiting by the door, freezing when, being the chatty I
- 2:20:00Speaker 3: am started talking with the other couple about the most
- 2:20:03Speaker 3: random things, trying to pass the time by and trying
- 2:20:06Speaker 3: to keep our sanity. We ended up getting a table
- 2:20:08Speaker 3: and went all out appetizers, drinks, most expensive things on
- 2:20:12Speaker 3: the menu. When it came time to get our bill,
- 2:20:14Speaker 3: our waitress came up and said our bill was paid for.
- 2:20:17Speaker 3: We instantly started going what this only happens in movies?
- 2:20:23Speaker 3: Looked around the waiting room and the couple we talked
- 2:20:25Speaker 3: with while we were waiting raised their glasses and gave
- 2:20:28Speaker 3: us a toast. What a way to celebrate Valentine's Day
- 2:20:31Speaker 3: after going to Taco Bell the year before moved on
- 2:20:34Speaker 3: up in the world. Good reminder to pay it forward
- 2:20:36Speaker 3: and bless those around you. Cheers and happy Valentine's Day.
- 2:20:39Speaker 3: PT six loved the podcast and it is a favorite
- 2:20:42Speaker 3: of mine to listen to you while doing chores around
- 2:20:44Speaker 3: the house to keep Milk Team six happy. Thanks for
- 2:20:48Speaker 3: all the tips and laughter over the last couple of months. Sean,
- 2:20:52Speaker 3: You're doing the Sean, You're doing the dishes right now
- 2:20:55Speaker 3: to keep that empty six happy. And I hope you
- 2:20:58Speaker 3: got a little smile on your face because you have
- 2:21:00Speaker 3: Valentine's Day legend.
- 2:21:02Speaker 1: Legend love that story, got their dinner paid for.
- 2:21:05Speaker 3: That's sick. A couple that they were talking with, that's sick.
- 2:21:08Speaker 3: I've only had that happen one time, and it was
- 2:21:11Speaker 3: my aunt Shannon was in the restaurant. I did not
- 2:21:14Speaker 3: know that. Shout out my aunt Shannon, and I was
- 2:21:18Speaker 3: I mean, Jill and I both were like, what the hell,
- 2:21:20Speaker 3: Like why what? And I saw, you know, I just
- 2:21:23Speaker 3: scanned the room and I saw her looking over and
- 2:21:25Speaker 3: smiling at me, and I was like, let's raise the glass,
- 2:21:27Speaker 3: let's go. You're unreal.
- 2:21:29Speaker 2: I got one here from Chris McKee.
- 2:21:31Speaker 3: This is Chris.
- 2:21:32Speaker 2: This is Chris McKee.
- 2:21:34Speaker 3: Get ready he bringing a heat.
- 2:21:35Speaker 1: Hello, guys. I love the podcast so much. It has
- 2:21:38Speaker 1: truly become can't miss listening to me and sometimes with
- 2:21:42Speaker 1: my son when I'm at work or in the car
- 2:21:44Speaker 1: with him. Keep up the amazing work. My funny story
- 2:21:47Speaker 1: is from Valentine's twenty twenty four.
- 2:21:50Speaker 3: It was a.
- 2:21:50Speaker 1: Valentine's Day during the middle of the week, so me
- 2:21:54Speaker 1: my son or am I soon to be wife had
- 2:21:56Speaker 1: agreed that we would do Valentine's on the weekend after
- 2:22:00Speaker 1: she was and still is, a barber in cool Spring.
- 2:22:03Speaker 2: Shameless plug.
- 2:22:04Speaker 3: Come on.
- 2:22:04Speaker 2: I met her when she was done with work and
- 2:22:06Speaker 2: I got some energy drinks to charge up for the evening. Yeah,
- 2:22:09Speaker 2: you did buddy them gas station bills too.
- 2:22:15Speaker 1: We were turning out of the parking lot to go
- 2:22:17Speaker 1: to the gas station to fill up her car.
- 2:22:21Speaker 2: On the parkway.
- 2:22:22Speaker 3: Corothers car others, Corrothers.
- 2:22:26Speaker 2: Let's go with Corrothers. Corrothers.
- 2:22:27Speaker 1: Parkway has a median, so she pulls into the center
- 2:22:30Speaker 1: to get across the street. I look up and see
- 2:22:32Speaker 1: her brake lights come off and start my turn to
- 2:22:35Speaker 1: pull out. Someone at the last second cuts her off.
- 2:22:38Speaker 1: In this particular brain of energy drink I had started
- 2:22:42Speaker 1: to rattle around in the cup holder. I proceeded to
- 2:22:45Speaker 1: rear in my wife's car. No kicker here is the
- 2:22:50Speaker 1: day after is the day after New Year's we found
- 2:22:53Speaker 1: out that we were expecting our second child, our son.
- 2:22:56Speaker 1: We pull across the street to the gas station. Her
- 2:22:58Speaker 1: car was smashed and so was mine. Good We call
- 2:23:02Speaker 1: the police to report the incident. The first copp responds,
- 2:23:05Speaker 1: and he has a great sense of humor. He asked
- 2:23:07Speaker 1: what happened and proceeded to jokingly pull out the handcuffs.
- 2:23:12Speaker 1: My first lesson as a husband to be we leave
- 2:23:15Speaker 1: my car and take her car to dinner. She was
- 2:23:18Speaker 1: not gonna be denied her steak and dessert.
- 2:23:20Speaker 3: Boys.
- 2:23:20Speaker 1: Two years later, I'm still embarrassed by it, but it
- 2:23:22Speaker 1: was a funny and expensive lesson, even in the chaos.
- 2:23:26Speaker 1: Go get the steak and go love on your spouse.
- 2:23:30Speaker 3: No love on her. Hey, shout out, cool springs, PD. Dude,
- 2:23:33Speaker 3: that's all time. Yeah, he hit you? What happened?
- 2:23:37Speaker 1: All right, buddy, turn around, spread him and this is
- 2:23:41Speaker 1: your husb.
- 2:23:42Speaker 3: Play the taser a little bit. Oh my god, dude,
- 2:23:48Speaker 3: that's hilarious. Wesley Murray said. Fellas we all know, Valentine's
- 2:23:53Speaker 3: Day comes with one non negotiable take care of the wife.
- 2:23:58Speaker 3: That standard, that's standard issue. But if you're a girl, dad,
- 2:24:03Speaker 3: you've got double booty, triple duty in your case. Valentine's
- 2:24:07Speaker 3: Day isn't just about romance. It's about raising the bar
- 2:24:10Speaker 3: for every future boyfriend, fiance, and husband who's gonna have
- 2:24:13Speaker 3: to measure up one day. That's why every year I
- 2:24:16Speaker 3: take my daughter on her own Valentine's Day Day. Nothing fancy,
- 2:24:20Speaker 3: nothing stressful, just something that week where it's all about her.
- 2:24:24Speaker 3: We get dressed up, I bring her flowers and a
- 2:24:26Speaker 3: little gift, and we head to her favorite place to eat,
- 2:24:28Speaker 3: and of course we finished wrong with the cookie from
- 2:24:31Speaker 3: the mall, because that's our thing. These little traditions matter.
- 2:24:36Speaker 3: My daughter is the light of my life, and I
- 2:24:38Speaker 3: want her to grow up knowing exactly how she deserves
- 2:24:41Speaker 3: to be treated, with respect, effort and genuine care. And yeah,
- 2:24:45Speaker 3: I prayed that one day she finds a man who's
- 2:24:47Speaker 3: twice as good to her as I am, which means
- 2:24:50Speaker 3: that poor guy has some work to do. Girl, Dads,
- 2:24:53Speaker 3: this is your reminder Valentine's Day isn't just for your partner.
- 2:24:57Speaker 3: It's a chance to model love, confidence in stand for
- 2:25:00Speaker 3: your daughter. I love that one that I love that Wesley,
- 2:25:05Speaker 3: well done.
- 2:25:06Speaker 2: It's gotta be fired up to do a little date
- 2:25:08Speaker 2: with Rue.
- 2:25:08Speaker 3: Oh dude, I cannot wait. I'm thinking of doing Chick
- 2:25:12Speaker 3: fil A with UH with Scarlett, Yeah, because Jill works Valentine,
- 2:25:17Speaker 3: So we're gonna do a belated Valentine. Yeah, but I
- 2:25:20Speaker 3: think I'm gonna take her to Chick fil a shed
- 2:25:24Speaker 3: get a little mac and cheese. You taste a.
- 2:25:31Speaker 2: Couple more, A couple more, A couple more, all right?
- 2:25:35Speaker 1: Thomas Perkins, Hey, my name is Thomas, and y'all said
- 2:25:39Speaker 1: to write in with Valentine's Day stories, But boys, I
- 2:25:41Speaker 1: need help. My wife is currently pregnant with our first child.
- 2:25:45Speaker 1: She doesn't care for Valentine's Day, never has, but every
- 2:25:48Speaker 1: year I always do something special for her just because well,
- 2:25:52Speaker 1: this year she will be twenty eight weeks pregnant at
- 2:25:55Speaker 1: Valentine's Day, and as y'all refer to it, getting close
- 2:25:58Speaker 1: to being in the trenches. I just need some help
- 2:26:01Speaker 1: on what to do this year that won't h that
- 2:26:05Speaker 1: won't send her into an irritated mood, and where my
- 2:26:08Speaker 1: chewing isn't too loud or breathing isn't too bothersome. She
- 2:26:11Speaker 1: hates all food except what she's craving at that exact moment.
- 2:26:14Speaker 1: Any ideas would be great, Thank you, And the show
- 2:26:18Speaker 1: is great.
- 2:26:20Speaker 3: Thomas bro Thomas is so dialed in right now, He's
- 2:26:24Speaker 3: dialed in right now. Just the added detail, the crunching
- 2:26:27Speaker 3: the fish yeah, breathing a little too loud. I'm sorry,
- 2:26:33Speaker 3: I exist. I forgot. I'm so sorry about that, honey,
- 2:26:36Speaker 3: I'll stop existing.
- 2:26:37Speaker 1: What game would you give him? I'm thinking just icebreaker.
- 2:26:41Speaker 1: You just get her favorite meal. If she doesn't want
- 2:26:43Speaker 1: to go out, that's fine. She's twenty eight weeks pregnant.
- 2:26:45Speaker 1: Maybe she truly doesn't want to. Like it'd be, you'd
- 2:26:48Speaker 1: be doing too much. Yeah, I don't blame I don't
- 2:26:50Speaker 1: blame it at all. But you still want to do
- 2:26:51Speaker 1: something special. So whatever it is, whether it's flowers or
- 2:26:54Speaker 1: favorite meal, whatever it is, maybe you bring it home
- 2:26:58Speaker 1: and you break the ice by like the irritations going on. Yeah,
- 2:27:01Speaker 1: I got this meal for you. I set up your
- 2:27:02Speaker 1: own little area. All of it you're gonna enjoy. I'm
- 2:27:05Speaker 1: gonna sit over here in the corner. Why are you
- 2:27:06Speaker 1: sitting over the course? So I don't want to herritate you.
- 2:27:08Speaker 1: I don't want to piss you off. This day is
- 2:27:10Speaker 1: all about you.
- 2:27:11Speaker 3: It's all about you.
- 2:27:11Speaker 2: It's all about you.
- 2:27:12Speaker 3: Foot rubs mandatory due because you know the fluids at
- 2:27:15Speaker 3: week you know twenty eight I mean that's yeah, foot rubs.
- 2:27:19Speaker 3: Non negotiation.
- 2:27:20Speaker 2: Maybe you make a little coupon book, A little coupon book.
- 2:27:23Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 2:27:24Speaker 1: The dinners and the dinners are non negotiable. And the
- 2:27:27Speaker 1: gift for Valentine's Day is a little uh a coupon
- 2:27:30Speaker 1: book that you make on your own rub back massage order.
- 2:27:36Speaker 1: You know, she probably already has a pregnancy.
- 2:27:37Speaker 3: One last class of water, even though I'm already in bed.
- 2:27:39Speaker 1: When you asked me, what do you want me to
- 2:27:42Speaker 1: get overnighted right now from Amazon?
- 2:27:45Speaker 3: One free? Take all the boxes a random dumpster. Yeah,
- 2:27:51Speaker 3: the other cherry on top that I would say, did
- 2:27:54Speaker 3: they say twenty eight weeks with the girl? Did they
- 2:27:57Speaker 3: say girl? Twenty eight we explaining it pregnant with our
- 2:28:01Speaker 3: first child? Baby girl, baby boy, baby girl. Let's say
- 2:28:05Speaker 3: damn if it is a girl, or if you don't know.
- 2:28:09Speaker 3: Could get a little Valentine's Day outfit boy or girl
- 2:28:13Speaker 3: at Target, probably for super cheap. They won't be sold
- 2:28:15Speaker 3: out on those, and get it a year sized like
- 2:28:20Speaker 3: get it for you know whatever that would what would
- 2:28:23Speaker 3: it's like, nine to twelve would probably be a safe range.
- 2:28:27Speaker 3: Get a little nine to twelve size Valentine's thing and
- 2:28:30Speaker 3: be like for a little baby next year, you get
- 2:28:33Speaker 3: to put some fun with that little coupon book. Dude.
- 2:28:35Speaker 3: The coupon book is that's a dad hack for anniversary birthday,
- 2:28:40Speaker 3: blah blah blah.
- 2:28:41Speaker 2: That's a hubby hack.
- 2:28:43Speaker 3: And if you draw it out, like hand draw it
- 2:28:45Speaker 3: and put the little dots like they're supposed to cut
- 2:28:48Speaker 3: it out and shit, get cute with it. Dude.
- 2:28:50Speaker 4: That's sneak a couple of shockwaved ones and there I'll
- 2:28:56Speaker 4: use them all at once, honey.
- 2:28:57Speaker 3: Oops, see, honey, there's twenty of these. That's say shockwave. Yeah,
- 2:29:01Speaker 3: it's like every other one. Yeah, just a little asterisk
- 2:29:06Speaker 3: at the bottom, like in small print under coupon.
- 2:29:10Speaker 2: Once used, shockwave is expected.
- 2:29:14Speaker 3: Can be used in the car, in the living room,
- 2:29:19Speaker 3: in the bedroom, maybe outside in the backyard where the
- 2:29:23Speaker 3: fences are tall enough that they really anywhere you want
- 2:29:28Speaker 3: to use this, You can use it anywhere. There's no rules,
- 2:29:31Speaker 3: you know. That's the thing.
- 2:29:32Speaker 1: You just put shockwave expected when coupon is being used.
- 2:29:35Speaker 1: So whatever mama wants, whatever, Just like foot Row, I
- 2:29:39Speaker 1: got you. It's thirty minute foot row. Did you read
- 2:29:42Speaker 1: the fine print on the.
- 2:29:43Speaker 3: Bottom astrisk with the shockwave? They really are no rules
- 2:29:48Speaker 3: now that I think about it, and it really.
- 2:29:53Speaker 2: Shockwave at play one requested.
- 2:29:57Speaker 3: I'll do it right then and there. Oh God, Zachary
- 2:30:01Speaker 3: Perne Ronnie Boys. A few years back, I found myself
- 2:30:06Speaker 3: in the trenches of doom by screwing up Valentine's Day.
- 2:30:10Speaker 3: I was in a softball league and always were never good.
- 2:30:13Speaker 3: But this year we made it to the ship and
- 2:30:15Speaker 3: of course the game was on V Day. Wife's wife.
- 2:30:19Speaker 3: He was quote unquote cool with it and even came
- 2:30:22Speaker 3: to support, but afterward words of us not even winning.
- 2:30:27Speaker 3: I took the wifey to arby Ooh, dude, Arby's. Oh, Zachary,
- 2:30:31Speaker 3: I gotta stop. I gotta stop right there, dude. We
- 2:30:34Speaker 3: could have at least done sonic chili chilli geez, we
- 2:30:40Speaker 3: got the meats. Arpys is wild, Arby's is wild. I
- 2:30:46Speaker 3: took the wife to Arby's and the and the manager
- 2:30:50Speaker 3: looks at me and goes, this is your romantic choice.
- 2:30:54Speaker 3: Even the managers on it, like, buddy, Arby's, the fuck
- 2:31:00Speaker 3: are you doing it here? She's just around the dinner time.
- 2:31:04Speaker 3: Somebody walks up, the fuck are you guys doing it here?
- 2:31:06Speaker 10: Dude?
- 2:31:06Speaker 3: It's February fourteenth, Like literally, what are you doing here.
- 2:31:11Speaker 3: We shouldn't be people like you that can't allow us
- 2:31:13Speaker 3: to be closed. To tell my manager all week, we
- 2:31:17Speaker 3: need to be closed on Valentine's saying nobody's coming through.
- 2:31:20Speaker 3: Doug eats Arby's, Nobody's coming, and then Zachary Borne comes walking.
- 2:31:25Speaker 3: What Doug, fuck you? What do you want? Go ahead?
- 2:31:31Speaker 3: Oh slice beeed brisket. Great choice, Doug. The apple turnover
- 2:31:34Speaker 3: is on me for the beautiful lady followed up the manager.
- 2:31:38Speaker 3: Well done manager. To this day, I will never not
- 2:31:43Speaker 3: hear about it from her, her friends and her family.
- 2:31:46Speaker 3: Husband hacked. Don't go to Arby's on the time's day.
- 2:31:50Speaker 3: That's a great dad act. Safe to say your boy
- 2:31:54Speaker 3: didn't get lucky that day. That's Zachary yell.
- 2:31:57Speaker 1: Boys want some game, man, don't take your girl to
- 2:32:01Speaker 1: Arby's all Valentine's Day.
- 2:32:04Speaker 3: That's free game. That's maybe the best advice has ever
- 2:32:08Speaker 3: come from this show. Truly, if if we could teach
- 2:32:13Speaker 3: the public anything, just Arby's probably isn't. And dads need
- 2:32:17Speaker 3: to hear that. Us men, we do need to hear.
- 2:32:19Speaker 3: We need to be reminded of stuff.
- 2:32:21Speaker 1: Like that because you gotta save the next generation. You
- 2:32:24Speaker 1: do those mistakes feed that idea.
- 2:32:27Speaker 3: And sometimes you'll have an egg that's a bad idea,
- 2:32:30Speaker 3: that's go to Arby's on Valancie say, don't feed that ogg.
- 2:32:35Speaker 1: You gotta crack that egg. You gotta crack that egg.
- 2:32:39Speaker 1: Let it spoil so bad egg. People are laughing at
- 2:32:43Speaker 1: you for a reason. And those people laughing are right.
- 2:32:47Speaker 3: Bro Arb. Like even seeing the sign in my head,
- 2:32:50Speaker 3: like on Valentine's Day, like driving up and seeing that
- 2:32:53Speaker 3: hat with Arby's written over it just makes me laugh. Dude,
- 2:32:58Speaker 3: poor we loves. I know we've been going for a
- 2:33:02Speaker 3: really long time.
- 2:33:03Speaker 2: Good sold, good sod, good sold.
- 2:33:05Speaker 3: Yeah, what were you about to do? I have a
- 2:33:10Speaker 3: Dan Gable quote. Oh, if we got to hit the
- 2:33:13Speaker 3: non negotiables, I'll go ahead this one. I switched it
- 2:33:18Speaker 3: up a little bit. Will I went and listened to
- 2:33:20Speaker 3: Dan Gables episode on the Joe Rogan experienced Good Sold
- 2:33:25Speaker 3: back in twenty twenty four, and he had a great
- 2:33:27Speaker 3: quote here, and I was thinking of, like how something
- 2:33:30Speaker 3: that could be applied to kids. He said, you know,
- 2:33:34Speaker 3: sometimes you give a kid a break or two and
- 2:33:37Speaker 3: it comes back to hunt. Yeah. It became kind of
- 2:33:40Speaker 3: a ritual for me to go leave home about eleven
- 2:33:43Speaker 3: thirty every night and go to downtown Iowa City to
- 2:33:46Speaker 3: walk into bars to see where some of the guys
- 2:33:48Speaker 3: were at, try and get them home. And you know,
- 2:33:51Speaker 3: that probably wasn't the right way to go about things.
- 2:33:53Speaker 3: I should have had them where I didn't have to
- 2:33:56Speaker 3: do that. But you know, you went a lot and
- 2:33:59Speaker 3: you start the you can cut corners. That's honestly how
- 2:34:02Speaker 3: I lost my last match, which is a whole other story.
- 2:34:06Speaker 3: Dan Gable, Joe broken experience. Don't cut corners, don't cut
- 2:34:13Speaker 3: too much, slacker, else you'll be in Iowa City picking
- 2:34:15Speaker 3: up your wrestlers.
- 2:34:16Speaker 2: Yeah, picking up your kids.
- 2:34:18Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 2:34:19Speaker 3: Yeah, you're trying to rebel too hard on them.
- 2:34:25Speaker 2: I got a dan Gable one right here.
- 2:34:28Speaker 3: I shoot, I score, he shoots, I score, Boom, dan Gabe.
- 2:34:34Speaker 3: Dan Gable said that, Now I got a bunch.
- 2:34:41Speaker 15: I think sure read that last week, but Dan Gable
- 2:34:47Speaker 15: said it. He said that, he did say that quote.
- 2:34:54Speaker 15: Yeah it's a good one.
- 2:34:57Speaker 2: Let's find another one.
- 2:34:58Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we get to get another one. Man.
- 2:35:01Speaker 1: Always remember the pain of defeat. Yeah, and never let
- 2:35:06Speaker 1: it happen again.
- 2:35:09Speaker 3: Take the trash out, man, Thank you for listening. Man,
- 2:35:14Speaker 3: the pain of defeat, and never let it happen again again.
- 2:35:19Speaker 3: Remember what it felt like to walk into that Arby's
- 2:35:21Speaker 3: and that manager look at you and go, you fucking
- 2:35:24Speaker 3: for real right now? Guy?
- 2:35:27Speaker 1: The pain my man endured when Shockwave was off the
- 2:35:31Speaker 1: table because he took her to a nice steakhouse and
- 2:35:35Speaker 1: she got sick. Remember that pain, and never make that mistake,
- 2:35:40Speaker 1: nor let it ever happen again.
- 2:35:43Speaker 3: Remember that pain when you leaned over to ask about
- 2:35:45Speaker 3: shot Wave and she said, not a chance, because my
- 2:35:49Speaker 3: stomach is about to explode with Arby's curly fries because
- 2:35:53Speaker 3: that's about the only thing on the menu were ordering.
- 2:35:57Speaker 3: And then refer back to the quote that's been double
- 2:35:59Speaker 3: quote in the last two weeks. When she does you know,
- 2:36:06Speaker 3: and she shoots her shot, you score. But then when
- 2:36:10Speaker 3: you shoot your shot, you score, Dan Gable.
- 2:36:14Speaker 2: Everyone, Happy Valentine's Day.
