Cougs’ Lefty Dominates, Wins Cy Young | Washington State Cougars Basketball News
Nick Lewis, the lefty Cougar ace, just won the Cy Young award after throwing a career-high 100 innings — the first Cougar pitcher to do it since 2015. Leading the team in wins, strikeouts, ERA, and WHIP, he delivered a legendary complete game in regionals against Oregon State, carrying his team to a 3-2 win. Named Mountain West Pitcher of the Year, this California-born redshirt sophomore is poised to dominate again next season in the Pac-12 — and if he’s not drafted this year, he’s just getting started.
