Speaker 1: I mean, I knew Gavin for four years. I got
• 0:02
Speaker 1: along great with him. If you take a look at
• 0:04
Speaker 1: what he's done. So they lost twenty five thousand houses.
• 0:07
Speaker 1: Do you know they haven't issued one building for him?
• 0:09
Speaker 1: And yes, so these people are trying to rebuild the houses.
• 0:11
Speaker 2: But he does something. He did something even worse than that.
• 0:14
Speaker 2: He's now taking a big section.
• 0:16
Speaker 1: Of Palisades or some area and he's going to build
• 0:19
Speaker 1: low income housing where they used to have luxury housing.
• 0:21
Speaker 1: He's going to put low income housing in. Honestly, I
• 0:24
Speaker 1: always like him, but he's a horrible governor.
• 0:26
Speaker 3: If you're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with

Speaker 4: rights for granted. We must draw a line in the sand,
• 1:05
Speaker 4: and our friends at Patriot Mobile have been doing just
• 1:08
Speaker 4: that for more than twelve years. The truth is there

Speaker 4: that company is Patriot Mobile. Not only are they leading

Speaker 4: same number. You've got now keep your same phone, or

• 1:59
Speaker 4: matter it happens. Every month, about five percent of your

• 2:12

Speaker 4: country and wear a badge.

• 2:33
Speaker 4: free month of service. That's Patriot Mobile dot com slash
• 2:37
Speaker 4: Ben forty seven or nine seven to two Patriot and
• 2:42
Speaker 4: make the switch today. It's a forty seven morning update
• 2:46
Speaker 4: and it starts right now.
• 2:48
  Speaker 2: Story number one.
• 2:49
Speaker 4: We're starting with good news sort of day forty one
• 2:53
Speaker 4: of the longest federal shutdown in US history. There is
• 2:56
Speaker 4: movement now, there's still a shutdown in the deal points
• 3:00
Speaker 4: that Democrats are fighting over this all while there's still
• 3:04
Speaker 4: chaos in the sky. Snap benefits are in limbo, and
• 3:08
Speaker 4: we now know that lawmakers in the House are in
• 3:11
Speaker 4: a thirty six hour return notice. This is the longest
• 3:16
Speaker 4: ever government shutdown and it's on the verge of ending
• 3:20
Speaker 4: food aid benefits remaining again in limbo. Why is this
• 3:24
Speaker 4: happening Because Democrats are still wanting you to blame Donald
• 3:27
Speaker 4: Trump and they believe they have the upper hand. That's
• 3:30
Speaker 4: also happening while we're seeing massive flight cancelations and delays
• 3:35
Speaker 4: they're disrupting travelers all over the US and international travelers
• 3:39
Speaker 4: coming into the US. Now, the Senate on Sunday took
• 3:43
Speaker 4: the first major step towards voting on a biperson deal
• 3:46
Speaker 4: reached between some Democrats, eight of them, and Republicans and
• 3:51
Speaker 4: President Donald Trump. Now, this would fully reopen the government
• 3:54
Speaker 4: until January the thirtiest, so there's still going to be
• 3:57
Speaker 4: work to be done after that. The agreement would also
• 4:01
Speaker 4: keep various other federal benefits, including snap benefits and veteran
• 4:05
Speaker 4: services funded through the next year.
• 4:08
  Speaker 2: That's a positive. Now. A decision by a small group
• 4:12
  Speaker 2: of moderate.
• 4:13
Speaker 4: Democrats that defected from the rest of their party marked
• 4:17
Speaker 4: the biggest turning point since the shutdown began on October
• 4:20
Speaker 4: the first, But it also prompted immediate political blowback, as
• 4:24
Speaker 4: many Democrats are now urging those colleagues to quote hold
• 4:29
Speaker 4: out for greater spending on things like Medicaid and Obamacare.
• 4:34
Speaker 4: That is what they're doing. So what happens next is
• 4:37
Speaker 4: the question that so many of you are asking. Well,
• 4:40
Speaker 4: now that there are eight Democrats that have signaled support
• 4:43
Speaker 4: for reopening the government, Congress has to clear a number
• 4:47
Speaker 4: of procedural hurdles they could have done this, by the way,
• 4:51
Speaker 4: on Sunday night, Democrats deliberately wanted it to hurt a
• 4:54
Speaker 4: little bit longer. This means this could delay things as
• 4:58
Speaker 4: far as Friday, if no one to now. When the
• 5:01
Speaker 4: new funding deal passes the Senate, which could come as
• 5:04
Speaker 4: soon as late Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, the package will
• 5:08
Speaker 4: then have to pass the House of Representatives, which hasn't
• 5:11
Speaker 4: taken a vote in weeks. Lawmakers in the House have
• 5:15
Speaker 4: now been put on a thirty six hour return noticed
• 5:17
Speaker 4: as I mentioned earlier, so it would likely take quote
• 5:21
Speaker 4: several days, barring any travel issues lawmakers in my experience,
• 5:26
Speaker 4: to get back to DC because of the shutdown for
• 5:28
Speaker 4: them to even pass any of the Senate bills. The
• 5:31
Speaker 4: Senate Majority leader John Thune indicated last week that he
• 5:35
Speaker 4: didn't think the shutdown would last pass Thanksgiving. Now again,
• 5:39
Speaker 4: you're dealing with Democrats that are wanting this to happen now.
• 5:43
Speaker 4: President Trump has also come out saying he supports the
• 5:45
Speaker 4: Senate deal to reopen the government that's been broken between
• 5:48
Speaker 4: Republican leaders and the eight Democratic lawmakers, saying, quote, based
• 5:52
Speaker 4: on everything I'm hearing, they haven't changed anything. Trump told
• 5:55
Speaker 4: reporters in the Oval Office, and we have support from
• 5:59
Speaker 4: enough Democrats. We're going to reopen our country. It's too
• 6:02
Speaker 4: bad it was closed, but we'll be reopening our country
• 6:05
  Speaker 4: very quickly.
• 6:06
Speaker 2: Trump went on to say, now, the.
• 6:07
Speaker 4: Agreement would reverse Trump's recent firing of federal workers during
• 6:12
Speaker 4: the shutdown, but the President suggested he's fine with that, saying, quote,
• 6:16
Speaker 4: I'll abide by the deal.
• 6:17
Speaker 2: The deal is very good.
• 6:19
Speaker 4: So then the question becomes, what's actually in this deal?
• 6:23
Speaker 2: Let me explain that for you.
• 6:25
Speaker 4: The agreed to deal as it stands right now, would
• 6:28
Speaker 4: reopen the government until January thirtieth. It would also include
• 6:33
Speaker 4: full year funding for several agencies and programs, including food Aid,
• 6:38
Speaker 4: veterans benefits, SNAP funding with continued food stamps through the
• 6:42
Speaker 4: September at higher levels. It also includes a commitment to
• 6:47
Speaker 4: vote on a bill to potentially extend the expiring Obamacare subsidies,
• 6:51
Speaker 4: the tax credits which millions of Americans rely on to
• 6:55
Speaker 4: help pay government premiums. So that's part of this welfare
• 6:59
Speaker 4: program since it happened because of Obamacare. Now, in addition,
• 7:03
Speaker 4: the deal would reverse the layoffs of thousands of federal
• 7:06
Speaker 4: workers while barring any potential firing until January thirtieth, the
• 7:11
Speaker 4: terminations have been temporarily blocked by a federal court judge.
• 7:16
Speaker 4: A handful of Senate Democrats have backed the compromise to
• 7:19
Speaker 4: reopen the government, but it didn't make them any popular
• 7:24
Speaker 4: with their fellow leftists anarchists that are holding us all hostage.
• 7:28
Speaker 4: Making this deal is malpractice, is what the new Jersey
• 7:31
Speaker 4: governor elect said in a statement. Pathetic is what Governor
• 7:35
Speaker 4: of California Gaven Newsom said, and most Senate Democrats balked
• 7:39
Speaker 4: at the compromise. Mark Warner, Democrat from Virginia, said Quota
• 7:43
Speaker 4: cannot support a deal that still leaves millions of Americans
• 7:46
Speaker 4: wondering how they're going to pay for their health care
• 7:49
Speaker 4: or whether they will be able to afford to afford
• 7:51
Speaker 4: to get sick at all.
• 7:53
  Speaker 2: Now.
• 7:53
Speaker 4: President Trump is also tried to deal with what's happening
• 7:56
Speaker 4: in our airports. He has ordered all air traffic controllers
• 8:00
Speaker 4: back to work. Trump threatening to dock the pay of
• 8:03
Speaker 4: air traffic controllers who haven't reported to work as flight
• 8:06
Speaker 4: delays and cancelations have spiked all over the country. He
• 8:10
Speaker 4: said it this way, very simply, quote, all air traffic
• 8:13
Speaker 4: controllers must get back to work now. Anyone who doesn't
• 8:17
Speaker 4: will be substantially docked. Many air traffic controllers continued working
• 8:23
Speaker 4: without a paycheck during the shutdown.
• 8:25
Speaker 2: They will get back paid, just so you know.
• 8:27
Speaker 4: But many have refused or didn't report to airports across
• 8:30
Speaker 4: the country. That's what prompted the FAA to order airlines
• 8:33
Speaker 4: to cancel four percent of their flights over the weekend.
• 8:37
Speaker 4: Trump has urged the controllers who didn't show up for
• 8:40
Speaker 4: work to quit, and he pledged to recommend ten thousand
• 8:43
Speaker 4: dollars bonuses to controllers who continued working, saying this for
• 8:48
Speaker 4: those air traffic controllers who were great patriots and didn't
• 8:53
Speaker 4: take any time off for the Democrats shutdown hoax, I
• 8:57
Speaker 4: will be recommending a bonus of ten thousand person for
• 9:01
Speaker 4: distinguished service to our country. For those that did nothing
• 9:04
Speaker 4: but complain and took full time off, even though even
• 9:08
Speaker 4: though everyone knew they would be paid in full shortly
• 9:12
Speaker 4: into the future, I am not happy with you.
• 9:16
  Speaker 2: Now.
• 9:16
Speaker 4: How bad are the cancelations? Delta Airlines announced it's canceled
• 9:20
Speaker 4: nearly five hundred flights under a government directive during the shutdown,
• 9:25
Speaker 4: and that all cancelations through November twelfth have been completed.
• 9:29
Speaker 4: The airline canceled two hundred and eighty mainline flights and
• 9:32
Speaker 4: two hundred and fifteen Delta Connection regional flights. Additional delays
• 9:37
Speaker 4: and cancelations, they say still may be needed to cope
• 9:41
Speaker 4: with air traffic control restrictions. The airline is now warning quote,
• 9:45
Speaker 4: Delta teams continue to safely manage our operations and care
• 9:49
Speaker 4: for customers who have experienced cancelations and delays. United Airlines
• 9:54
Speaker 4: this is what they've said. They said it is sticking
• 9:56
Speaker 4: with the government ordered flight cancelations through at least November
• 10:01
Speaker 4: the twelfth, as Congress debates the potential end of the shutdown.
• 10:04
Speaker 4: The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered airlines to reduce their
• 10:08
Speaker 4: flights four percent November seventh to cope with strains on
• 10:13
Speaker 4: air traffic controllers who suffered absences while continue to work
• 10:17
Speaker 4: during the shutdown, saying quote, we will continue to make
• 10:20
Speaker 4: rolling updates to our schedule if the government shutdown continues,
• 10:24
Speaker 4: and share the latest information as we have it. The
• 10:27
Speaker 4: airline sentness statement as well on social media. Now, Republicans
• 10:31
Speaker 4: say that, well, you cannot hide from the crisis that
• 10:34
Speaker 4: was created by Democrats, And I want you to hear
• 10:36
Speaker 4: what Speaker Johnson had to say about the Democrats using
• 10:40
Speaker 4: the American people as leverage.
• 10:43
Speaker 5: Figure Johnson, I loved your quote. It's the beginning of
• 10:46
Speaker 5: the end of the shutdown, very Churchillian. I like that
• 10:49
Speaker 5: very much. But you know, but at the end of
• 10:52
Speaker 5: this whole thing, they're basically going back to your CR.
• 10:56
Speaker 5: I know there's a few add ons here veterans construction,
• 11:01
Speaker 5: no at tax destruction, but basically they could have just
• 11:04
Speaker 5: voted yes on your CR in the first place. And
• 11:07
Speaker 5: I don't understand how stupid this is. And I think
• 11:10
Speaker 5: millions of Americans are very aggravated over this.
• 11:13
Speaker 6: They are, and you're right, it was stupid. To your's
• 11:16
Speaker 6: word and my word is utterly pointless. I mean, forty
• 11:20
Speaker 6: days we've had the country wandering in the wilderness because
• 11:23
Speaker 6: of the Democrats in transigence, and they've made the American
• 11:27
Speaker 6: people suffer needlessly. And at the end of all this,
• 11:29
Speaker 6: you now have a handful of Democrats who have come
• 11:31
Speaker 6: to their senses. They're prepared to do the right thing
• 11:34
Speaker 6: reopen the government. They're going to do, Larry, to your point,
• 11:37
Speaker 6: exactly what we asked them to do.
• 11:38
  Speaker 2: Weeks ago.
• 11:39
Speaker 6: I mean, all of this was really for nothing. And
• 11:42
Speaker 6: it's so sad that they have used the American people
• 11:45
Speaker 6: as their leverage, that's their own quote, as ponds in
• 11:48
Speaker 6: this political game, so that Chuck Schumer could have political
• 11:50
Speaker 6: cover back in New York. I mean, it's really unconscionable.
• 11:53
Speaker 4: Now anestly, there's also another aspect of this shutdown, and
• 11:56
Speaker 4: that is the civil war that's happening as we speak
• 11:59
Speaker 4: right now within the Democratic Party. Senator Dick Durbin, for example,
• 12:04
Speaker 4: openly admitted the Democrats knew the damage that they were
• 12:08
Speaker 4: going to cause the families by shutting the government down,
• 12:12
Speaker 4: saying from the four of the Senate earlier today, I
• 12:14
Speaker 4: cannot accept a strategy which wages political battle at the
• 12:18
Speaker 4: expense of my neighbor's paychecked or the food for his children.
• 12:25
Speaker 2: Now, Chuck Schumer, and this was the Schumer shut down.
• 12:28
Speaker 4: He was forced to do it, held hostage by the
• 12:30
Speaker 4: extreme wing of the Democratic Party, the aocs of his
• 12:33
Speaker 4: party that he's afraid are going to actually come after
• 12:36
Speaker 4: him in a primary. Well, now Democrats are mad that
• 12:39
Speaker 4: this deal is getting done. In fact, one Democratic strategist
• 12:42
Speaker 4: today on MSNBC said this about Chuck Schumer.
• 12:46
Speaker 7: Chuld Chuck schumergh and yet yes, Chuck Schumer should go.
• 12:48
Speaker 7: I'm sorry to say, Chuck schumershag go. I voted for
• 12:50
Speaker 7: many times. I am ideologically quite aligned with where he
• 12:54
Speaker 7: is as a Senator, but he's no longer capable of
• 12:57
Speaker 7: running this caucus. He's no longer capable leading the Democratic Party.
• 13:01
Speaker 7: I am a lifeline. I mean, I am an establishment Democrat,
• 13:05
Speaker 7: and I'm here to say that Bernie Sanders is much
• 13:07
Speaker 7: more in line with where I and many other Democrats
• 13:10
Speaker 7: are today than Chuck Schumer is. And you know, if
• 13:13
Speaker 7: you would have asked me that five years ago, I
• 13:15
Speaker 7: would have laughed at you. So that just to the
• 13:16
Speaker 7: underscore exactly how furious, how furious Democrats are today for
• 13:21
Speaker 7: putting the country through this without having it.
• 13:24
Speaker 4: Out, without having an out. This is the Democratic Party
• 13:29
Speaker 4: right now telling you how bad the Civil War is.
• 13:32
Speaker 2: It wasn't enough that.
• 13:34
Speaker 4: They actually decide to shut down the government for the
• 13:36
Speaker 4: longest period in history. They're now saying Chuck Schumer must
• 13:40
Speaker 4: go and the extreme of the party should be mainlined.
• 13:45
Speaker 2: Seth Moulton on Chuck Schumer saying this.
• 13:48
Speaker 6: Yeah, and do you think that change, that need for
• 13:50
Speaker 6: a change in leadership would also extend to Chuck Schumer.
• 13:52
Speaker 6: If you were elected to the Senate, would you want
• 13:54
Speaker 6: to see, Okay, I'm.
• 13:56
Speaker 8: Not going to run on a new generation of leadership
• 13:58
Speaker 8: platform here in Massachusetts and then go down a wat
• 14:00
Speaker 8: Washington and vote for the status quo. And so I've
• 14:02
Speaker 8: been very public about that. Again, you know, respect his service,
• 14:07
Speaker 8: but time to move on. And you know my opponent
• 14:11
Speaker 8: has not. He keeps dodging the question.
• 14:13
Speaker 4: That is a man who's running for Senate in Massachusetts
• 14:16
Speaker 4: saying this will be over if I am elected and
• 14:22
Speaker 4: we will get rid of Chuck Schumer one more that's
• 14:25
Speaker 4: also saying the same exact thing. Democrats continuing to call
• 14:29
Speaker 4: for him to be done, and the media following suit.
• 14:32
Speaker 4: On the View today, Sonny Houston saying this about it's
• 14:37
Speaker 4: time for Schumer to be gone, saying his days are over.
• 14:41
Speaker 9: You know, you do something like this, shame on you
• 14:44
Speaker 9: the first time. You do it twice, three times, four times,
• 14:48
Speaker 9: Shame on me, Shame on the Democrats. We're even believing
• 14:50
Speaker 9: that the Republicans will you know, even vote on it.
• 14:56
Speaker 9: There's no guarantee in this new deal that there's going
• 14:59
Speaker 9: to be a vot. There's no even commitment to have
• 15:02
Speaker 9: a vote. So the bottom line is the Democrats went
• 15:04
Speaker 9: into this after a blue wave out of the American
• 15:07
Speaker 9: people saying we do want the opposition, the working people
• 15:11
Speaker 9: want the Democratic Party to fight for them, and now
• 15:15
Speaker 9: they just cave and surrendered. I think Chuck Schumer his
• 15:18
  Speaker 9: days are over.
• 15:19
Speaker 4: His days are over. So there it is Democrats admitting
• 15:23
Speaker 4: they did it on purpose. They're hurting Americans on purpose.
• 15:26
Speaker 4: They're delaying open the government right now, even as they
• 15:29
Speaker 4: agree to open the government on purpose, and they want
• 15:32
Speaker 4: it to hurt on purpose, and there is a civil
• 15:35
Speaker 4: war in the Democratic Party. Chuck Schumer is no longer
• 15:39
Speaker 4: extreme enough for the Democratic Party. So if you think
• 15:44
Speaker 4: this was a grand success for Democrats, look at what
• 15:47
Speaker 4: they're saying about their own party right now. And Donald Trump,
• 15:51
Speaker 4: as he made it clear today, it's time to get
• 15:53
Speaker 4: our government back open and get us back to working.
• 15:57
Speaker 4: And that's the most important thing for so many Americas
• 16:00
Speaker 4: hit insteader being held hostage by the Democratic Party.
