- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: is the Steve Downs, the voice of Master Chief, Spartan 1-1-7, with an incoming message for Ryan Green and all, we'll listen to the podcast It Just Works, let's finish the fight.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: Listen up, Chief, out.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: Hey everyone, it's Ryan from the AdjustWorks podcast and I'd like to say, um, back, after a little break, the podcast is officially returning and I can't wait to jump back into the gaming life conversations and about everything in between with you guys as you're familiar.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: We kind of go all over the place of this podcast.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you may talk about video games or I'm sorry.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: I may talk about video games.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe movies, music or just life itself.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, I'm really thrilled to be back.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: So thank you guys for sticking around.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for reaching out.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for still supporting the show.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: We still get some downloads here and there.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: Get some lessons.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: So even if it's one of you, I am I am beyond grateful for that.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I would just like to say I hope all of you are doing well.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I hope life has been treating you well.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's been a lot going on out there to easily make life not so fun for a lot of us.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, honestly just sad, so I am very grateful to be able to do this to talk to any of you and if you ever need to talk, please consider reaching out because you're not alone and I think we're all going through stuff and honestly at the end of the day as long as we get to you.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: sleep at night, put a smile on our face and wake up the next day.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: I would say we're doing pretty damn good.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: So thank you guys so much for being here again There is some things planned in the future.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: I have to iron out the details, which I probably should have done before I started this up podcast because this is like a
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm back.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of podcasts, but do you plan on having new segments?
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think the biggest one that's going to stick around is like song of the day, obviously for that episode, or maybe album if there's a new album that came out from one of my favorite bands.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: Music is such a huge part of my life.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think you guys just love the music episodes.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you guys, some of you have told me literally love the music episodes.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of you who know me from
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: all the way back then have uh uh listen to new music because of me or we've collaborated and shared artists that we listen to and uh increase our library of music.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: The other thing I was going to do because I've been really bad about doing reviews which I've I love doing in the past and I hope to bring them back but for the foreseeable future until those episodes come out
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: I will be doing video game of the episode as well, which may be video game of the week.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe video game of the day because the goal is still to potentially do two podcasts a week.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: But I can't make any promises.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'd rather just kind of see where it goes and then kind of go from there.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think more community shout-outs is like a big deal for me.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: Whether it's people who follow me on TikTok and I think have great pages, great live streams.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: Just overall great content, but I think you guys would enjoy.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: Especially since there's a lack of posting with me, so you can definitely find it somewhere else.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then as you know, plenty of unfiltered conversations as well are going to be on the way.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the biggest thing about this podcast is it's spent to be fun, unfiltered, about as authentic as you can possibly get.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I plan on bringing that back to the fullest extent.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, what have I been up to?
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: Well, me and my girlfriend are doing amazing.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to Savannah.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: I love you.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, me and her just spend a lot of time together, whether it's with our families, me spending time with my families, you know, busy at work.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I really can't complain.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like life has been treating me very well.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: It definitely has its ups and downs, of course.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes the downs can really weigh you down.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but at the end of the day, you know, my motto is always, like, put a smile on your face and like try to get through it and Not necessarily hide from it, but, you know, tackle it as much as you can and and talk to those people in your, my circle and honestly it's helped out tremendously and I'm very happy.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to enjoy the rest of this year and whatever it comes next.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: We did go to Universal Horror Nights.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why I sound like a robot when I said that.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: But we recently went to Universal Horror Nights.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: And that was my first time ever.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: I believe it's her first time ever.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: I could be wrong.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm pretty sure it is.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: So obviously it's our first time going together as well.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to my friend Joseph, who third-wheeled it, but I think he had a wonderful time.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: I hope he did.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, it's tough when someone third wheels, you know, you want them to have an amazing time to and not ruin their time, especially when you're spinning as much money as we did.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, uh, the way to go to this thing is get the express unlimited early access pass.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: It was the I think we literally saved about five hours of like standing in lines because we had that we didn't wait in any line guaranteed more than five minutes like that's insane uh which is really shitty because for instance like when the last ones we did was the Freddy our five nights at Freddy's excuse me.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: and I think it was a two and a half hour wait by the time we got there.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: But with our express unlimited passes, we waited three minutes and going through that like maze, I couldn't imagine waiting so long just to see what they had to offer.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: Not that it wasn't cool.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: I just when you think about that wait time, I'm like damn, it's kind of gnarly.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: But I think like maybe getting to the front of the line is also it makes it enjoyable for people if they're already committing
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: So, if you haven't gone to Universal Horror Nights, is what I'm basically what I'm getting at, is buy the early access and express unlimited pass.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: You will not be disappointed.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, if you didn't know, uh, fallout actually was represented there at the diner, um, towards, uh, water world that they kind of changed.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a theme diner throughout the, uh, throughout the year.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: And it's all fallout themed.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously, thought, fallouts of wasteland, the food is disgusting and that meant to be delicious.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: But I think they took that trope a little too far because a lot of the food we got wasn't that great.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's crazy that like the clown chatter with spam.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: The clam chatter with spam.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think I said that word and the clam I'm sorry this the spam fries We're being the best thing is like kind of crazy the quantum fizz was great as well and that was like a blue raspberry sprite
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah, we tried everything and almost everything and, uh, kind of disappointed, but the experience of doing it was fun as hell, but some of the things they came up with were like weird as shit, like, uh, they had rat away there and it was, and it was a Chipotle lemonade.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Chipotle, honey, lemonade, I think, and there's fucking gnarly.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Again, it's a wasteland, so if their goal was to make people feel like they're in the wasteland in terms of the flavors and the quality, they kind of nailed it.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: But it just sucks because it costs a lot.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: So, I don't know, depends on how you feel about that.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: But the actual maze they had was obviously based on the show, and you know, obviously the show is bigger than the games now,
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: While that is a bummer, I would say that the the maze was really cool, captured season one really well and then when you leave, it kind of shows like a glimpse of what you're going to get in season two, and I thought that was really sweet, we went on that one three times, we were there from five p.m.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: to two a.m.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: so we actually were there until closing.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: We did the terrifier one, which I know it's a big one for a lot of people and I just think art the clown is so fucking cool Like I just love how comical the character is and just fun I would feel like I'd feel like if someone's like scared of clowns like art is the way to go to get them over that phobia But that haunted or that maze was like haunted house.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: Well, just calm haunted houses
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, that haunted house was like really cool, but there was one part where there's a bathroom and they make it fucking smell perfectly like a discussing bathroom, like, just like the worst-grimmy gas station bathroom ran by homeless people or destroyed by homeless people.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's, it's Narlie.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I also want to say, if you guys haven't gone yourselves, the, the smell of like the plastic and latex, just like sitting in the sun all day.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: is absolutely gnarly and all of the haunted houses and it's a bit of a bummer because it almost ruins the experience a little bit like I know it's maybe too a degree it's meant to be a part of the experience but it kind of takes you out of it as well so I don't know like that's their angle or not honestly this probably only so much they can do maybe so
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: It is universal, you know, you do make movies.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, Poltergeist was really cool.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing too crazy.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: You just go through the house.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: It was fine.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Next up would be...
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: I guess there's like a chainsaw man one we missed and I don't know how we pull that off but after fall that we went to a more Mexican heritage themed like you know like you know the whole stories of the I can't even say it's I'm not going to I'm not gonna embarrass myself on this podcast like I'm going to it's I can't say it so don't hate me too much but it's the the Lyraona
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: my grandma would kill me right now for the way I said that but it's like the story of her and like drowning the kids there's actually a part where you cross the bridge and there's literally kids that are drowned obviously dolls of course but that that haunted house is actually pretty badass a lot of Mexican folklore like paranormal stories in there and
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: Stuff I heard as a kid growing up, so I thought that one was like really, really, really cool.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of like struck home, if you will.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, with the fun stories, my grandma used to tell me and then like watching Axe Files with her and, you know, Chupa Cobra and shit, you know, it's literally in the Axe Files, so that was really cool.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: And then
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: there's like the Wyatt 6 which was like a WWE haunted house which is like honestly kind of impressive like it was like it was really well done the production was great none of these scared me by the way I guess I should throw that out there too none of it was scary for me I feel like it's kind of hard to get scared when there's so many people going through the haunted houses at once and
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: Something me and Savannah talked about like there's really only some that I feel like it's really hard to control that when there's like so many people and you're trying to make sure everyone gets to experience every haunted house It's not an easy job, but it is a bit of a bummer when it's not just us.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: I got to stop saying bummer.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's the third or fourth time I've said that in Eric or someone's gonna pay attention to that and fix it on it
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's unfortunate because I feel like you can't get your real jump scares.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: You can't be scared of anything because you already know what's going to happen as in like you literally see it happen before you get to it.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: So that was unfortunate again.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: the let's see what else there's the Jason one the Jason one for the sale break his anniversary was really well done is I I love that one a lot there was one part where at Jason cast member came out of nowhere like literally shoulder to shoulder and I thought that was really cool because it did kind of make me jump a little bit because he really surprised me and that's easily the best way to scare me so that was like really fun for literally two seconds unfortunately
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: That was that was awesome, and then they had slash Which is crazy because his dude can do like solo's and stuff with the music they play in his haunted house was so ass
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's nothing that anyone who plays electric guitar can't do so I thought that was disappointing I don't know if like that's what they told him to do or like they just threw his name on it to get a paycheck I don't know it's very weird But it's meant to be like a scarecrow haunted house like a corn like a cornfield a corn maze and It was epic.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: It was awesome as well.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: It was another great one.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: You wouldn't expect to be good.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's really great.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: I would say
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: the most disappointing thing of the night though and it and I like looked into it on like TikTok and Instagram and stuff uh it's unfortunate because well the terror tram is like the same thing they've been doing essentially for like the last two years with like Blumhouse and like Megan and Blackfone and um let's see other one um sorts of the P oh my gosh
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna piss me off if I forget this and it's cool because you go through the the purge.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: Oof.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: That was tough.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: But there was no pause break.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like I figured it out.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have to look it up.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of proud of that.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: And it made me, it made me want to watch like the last two purge movies.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think I've only seen the first one.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how many there are.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: I know there's one with what's his face.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, uh, it was cool because you get the walkthrough of the war, the world's set piece.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: So like that part was sick, and then that's pretty much it.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I was pretty disappointed by that.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: And like that's horror nights in a nutshell, like we had a lot of, we tried to, oh, like the Jason food suck, too.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: The, they had a Jason smore that looked delicious.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you see it on TikTok or whatever, if you see videos of it, it looks delicious.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: But it's not.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's, uh, I mean, it's tastes good, but they didn't even like warm this mora.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like the marshmallow was cold.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: The chocolate wasn't melted.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: And then the graham cracker for whatever reason had been sitting out for so long.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: It didn't even have a crunch to it.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: So that was annoying.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: They had a brisket mac and cheese.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: That shit was bomb.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: So if you go, make sure to get the brisket mac and cheese.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: Apparently, they have how to train your dragon brisket mac and cheese like
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: like a raps or whatever, like a hot pocket.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't get to try that, but I don't know.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: Might be something worth looking into.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, we also got to take like a photo op at the psycho house.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: That was pretty sweet too, and we know we posted that on Instagram.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think some people saw that.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: I just had a really good time.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, like, it being Savannah's first time in my first time.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think we did it right.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we were talking, like, if we're going to do this, we're going to go all out between the tickets and, like, everything we did with the food.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, obviously, Joseph, like I said, he looked like I got a really good time.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: I would say it was worth it.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: I would gladly do it again, especially as like a once a year thing.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: I would almost say I'd like it to be a tradition because of how much fun I had.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: I was dead though.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: We were all dead the next day.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you what.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: That was.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: I was a lot physically, but anyways, the other thing we did recently, which I would say kind of took a lot out of us, because it's a pretty big commitment to do it in one week, and all of it's in theaters, is me and Savannah for the Harry Potter celebration at the beginning of September.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, the last week of August.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: is we watched all eight Harry Potter films in theaters and it's been the first time I've seen them in theaters since they originally released.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen all of them when they originally released, released, excuse me.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: And Savannah has only seen, I think, the Deathly Hollows 1 and 2, or maybe just the last one in theaters at the time.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: So she got to experience all of the movies.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: in theaters for the first time and I got to tell you like Harry Potter is this shit like Harry Potter is easily like a top 10 franchise.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know I want to say top 5, but I feel like that's pretty bold for me at least.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, no, it's top 5.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: It has to be top 5.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but that was that was such a fun experience and like regal theaters had like a butterbeer icy.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: That was fucking bomb.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: It was really good.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: So if they have that next year, please consider going.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: You will not be disappointed.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: Those movies hold up so well in the theaters and
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: just just to watch them and experience like the joy on her face of just like seeing these and for the first time in theaters obviously she's seen the movies massive fan but there's just something about seeing a movie and in theater for the first time especially when you loved it for years there really is like a different impact on that and it you know reminds me of the first time I saw back the future last year for Father's Day I took my parents and
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like I noticed more in the movie than when I watched it at home.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: So if you guys get the opportunity to see a movie that you've never seen in theaters before, please take it.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: I would say like that's like the biggest thing I would be an advocate for when it comes in movies.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's just something different about the experience and it's really fun to celebrate the movies as well.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that was like the other cool thing about seeing these Harry Potter movies, like some diehard fans were in there clapping at certain moments,
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: not not to like the marble way where it could be annoying like it was very appropriate where people did it and I thought it was really cool
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's see what else I love my switch to.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: I know I've talked about it in the last two episodes, at least a little bit if I haven't, then I love it.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: I initially wanted to do a review on SoulColour II because I completely beat the campaign, which is crazy, because I didn't even do that as a kid.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: I grinded the fuck out of that game, and for a fighting game, like to play it as much as I did, it was really rewarding.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: To unlock Lizard Man and then find out that you can't even use them in like most of the game modes that you have play Which is fucking stupid Just so backwards
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: But playing is Link in the campaign in Nightmare was like really cool because I love sick freed, but in that game it's basically Nightmare you want to play as, I don't think there is a sick freed actually, I'm drawing a blank, but yeah to unlock people's weapons to like share the experience on a couple live streams with people who you know like the game or seeing it for the first time, playing Mario Kart World Tour, I'm sorry, Mario Kart World,
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's a wonderful game.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think the problem is the lack of updates like they had a few updates at first after launch, but there's been like no content, no new characters like I feel like you could do like a few characters and like maybe a track or two.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I feel like you could like sprinkle content in this game to keep it alive.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't know what the player base looks like today, but the game is great, um,
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: I just think, you know, they have a massive uphill battle when it comes to like comparing it to like eight deluxe switch one, you know, post-content package, like that game has everything.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: So it's really hard to beat.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: It'd be like making any Smash Bros, like it's it's difficult and I do feel for the developers on that because I think Mario Kart World definitely takes the franchise to a new level.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think the mistake they made, though, is when you play a line and you're doing the versus mode, they have the transition tracks, so you'll basically play a half a lap or a lap in the maybe half on the main course and then you basically drive to the next course.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: But you don't even you're not even guaranteed to like play on the next course, so I think like in my opinion They should make it 75% the classic once you play your experience where you just pick that course like you're doing three laps on that course And then There's a chance you can get a transition course if like it takes us to a different part of the map and like now we can get those courses
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: and those can be three laps on those courses.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, like, for instance, for the longest time, you know, I didn't realize this because I was playing knockout tour, which is guaranteed transition courses.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: And that's fine.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's different.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's like a complete different experience.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: But I noticed that when it came to like the dyno, the dinosaur track from like GameCube and stuff,
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: I realized that I hadn't truly played the full three laps on that map on that course Because of like the transitions and I was like all right.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: Well, don't get me wrong.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: It was cool to like get the experience, but I feel like
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: it not being shoehorned into like a selection properly at launch was a huge mistake they have already fixed it since then i again though i think the percentages should be adjusted to increase like just the traditional three laps on the course
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: Not got to her is a bad ass game mode extremely intense So yeah, honestly my current world.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: I would say it's an easy 9 out of 10.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think my biggest thing for it is what I just said with that critique And then it's a little bit nitpicky I guess But if you get like three stars on there all the cups and all that if you maximize your coins and terms of unlocking items There's no gold cart.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: There's no gold wheels.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: There's no gold glider
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's really disappointing because that was one of my favorite things about Mario Kart 8 regular and Deluxe is that Okay, like you can play with your friends and stuff, but you can still have an ultimate goal to unlock the gold items And it was just very rewarding even though they weren't like game breaking stats or anything
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that's kind of where I'm at.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think the graphics look really good on it.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: The free Rome is cool.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great way to just chill and just drive.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I think a lot of people that have issues with Mario Kart world, kind of just don't get the developers plan for the game.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: I know another major point of contention is like the price of the game.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's 80 bucks, I think it's 79, 99, in America.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think the game should be like 60.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't I don't think making games 20 more dollars is even fair I don't know it's tough because I know the developers need money and but we're talking about Nintendo here So it's very that's a very difficult argument for me at least because I support them.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: I love my games and Even though I hate like all the lawsuits and stuff going on at the Pokemon and Power World.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's a whole another issue
- 23:31[SPEAKER_00]: I still love Mario Kart.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: Mario Kart is my favorite Mario game, so I'm gonna die on that hill, but speaking of hills, Donkey Kong Benanza came out, which was a complete second launch of our second release of like an Nintendo first party IP came out July 24th, I believe.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: It could be wrong on it.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a massive Donkey Kong fan, but I do like the 3D platformers and all that, and I need to play the game more.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't really played it since it launched, but that game is really cool.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: If you're a Donkey Kong fan, and you like Super Mario Odyssey, this game is like a match made in heaven for you, if you want to destroy shit, and you really cool things is Donkey Kong.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: This is the game for you, so I can tell you that.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like,
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: The game plays great.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: The graphics look great.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: It runs amazing in handheld and dock mode.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: Still waiting for Pokemon call scene where Twilight Princess to be back and pat for my game cube.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_00]: Classic.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see what happens there.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: I did order a R-O-G-L-I-X PC, a handheld PC, gaming PC, or whatever you want to call it.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I'm going to keep it yet, so there might be an update on that.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: As you all know, if you've listened to old episodes, I actually have just a diehard handheld gaming fan.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: I love handheld gaming.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's like some of the best experiences you can have or just laying down and playing games while watching TV as a kid And I've always wanted to play like Halo Mass Chief collection for instance because it has all of my favorites on there I was want to play him in handheld mode, so I wanted to like download my scene version with mods on to this thing and test it So I don't know what I'm doing yet.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I'm gonna keep it so there might be a follow-up on that
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah, I work at a new company now.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: So, uh, work's been really great selling a lot of cases.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: People are doing wonderful and I love my job.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's all I got right now.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, very grateful to have a job, you know, when, when things that, you know, like what we went through happen, not everyone can be so lucky and I'm very grateful to be one of them.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm very blessed on that.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's how work is going.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but yeah, honestly, like that's pretty much all I got right now.
