- 0:36All right, we're back. All right, we're back.
- 0:39Another episode for those that have been listening, God bless.
- 0:43And those that are new, God bless as well.
- 0:45And before we start, you know we're going to pray.
- 0:49Lord, I thank you so much for once again for being here, God,
- 0:55and strengthening us and lead us into the absolute truth.
- 1:02In your holy name I pray. Amen.
- 1:04So we have someone we've had before.
- 1:08Welcome, Diego. Oh yes, I'm glad to be here
- 1:11again. That's great.
- 1:11Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:12It's good, man. It's good stuff.
- 1:14How you been, man? How you?
- 1:15Been how's how's things so far? Now things are going all right,
- 1:18you know, I hope everybody's having a blessed starts of their
- 1:21week, by the way. Pretty much it.
- 1:23Right, right. Yeah, Whoever's listening as
- 1:25well. Absolutely.
- 1:26What's anything new with you lately?
- 1:30Well, I guess what's what you could say is new is no, I guess
- 1:38as as you guys know and some other people in our group know,
- 1:41you know recently is I was laid off from my most recent job.
- 1:48So I was laid off and I knew, I knew why I was laid off.
- 1:55But then at the same time I'm like, why is this happening?
- 2:00An interesting time, especially, Yeah.
- 2:03Because, you know, it's like the weather is getting starting to
- 2:05get nicer. And then, I don't know, just a
- 2:08lot of thoughts in my head going on and I'm thinking Nah, like I
- 2:12really won't have much to do. All right, right.
- 2:16And then and then you guys were quick to remind me.
- 2:19Yeah, but utilize. It's time to get closer to God
- 2:23or or learn to get closer to God.
- 2:25So in this time that you, you know, you got laid off, like it
- 2:30seems like, did you go out of your way to reach out to jobs or
- 2:34were you just like, I'm just going to weigh interest on God,
- 2:38Like what was your first reaction?
- 2:39Be honest, you know. I will be honest, probably in my
- 2:44first week. So I was laid off for three.
- 2:49I mean, I was laid off indefinitely, but then I found
- 2:53work 3 weeks later, which they actually started my first day at
- 2:56my new job. But the point is going back to
- 3:01that first week of being laid off, definitely some weird
- 3:04sensations there because I'm just a person that's so used to
- 3:08just going to work and I've never knew what, you know what
- 3:13not going to work is like, right?
- 3:15Knowing I don't have a job, but looking for work, I will say
- 3:19probably in the first few days of that week, I will say I was
- 3:25just looking at Indeed a lot. Just looking at a little
- 3:29scrolling and applying up whatever seemed attractive to my
- 3:33interests. Or like the first week when you
- 3:36got laid off, you say? Yeah, I'm referring to that
- 3:38week. Right, OK, OK, right, OK.
- 3:40And then after that, like what? What kind of happened after
- 3:42that? I just thought, well, mind you I
- 3:50did did get some emails back even one one job interview,
- 3:56which was prior to the week of prior to the week of getting
- 4:01laid off. I had a job interview if you
- 4:02remembered, which that seemed like it went well and it seemed
- 4:06like a promising job. Just something didn't sit right
- 4:11with me afterwards, even with especially with some of the jobs
- 4:14I was looking at, because it just it just seemed like some of
- 4:18those jobs are just going to take up too much of my free time
- 4:21or especially time with, you know, with the Lord, you know,
- 4:25like, you know, meeting up with you guys for Bible studies or or
- 4:29readings that barn and noble. Oh, I got you.
- 4:33I see what you're saying. You.
- 4:34Know that's that's it, yeah. No, yeah, I, I know, I know.
- 4:39Especially. What happened?
- 4:43A lot of thinking. Yeah, No, for believers, how do
- 4:50I say this? Because in the secular world,
- 4:54right, you can. You can pretty much just like
- 4:59how do I say this? And I've, I believe we've spoken
- 5:01it before, but we haven't spoken necessarily too deep.
- 5:04You know what I mean by like organic and artificial
- 5:07blessings? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:11I don't want to touch on that subject because I believe we've
- 5:13spoken about it before on the on the other part on the episodes,
- 5:16I'm not sure. But for a believer is
- 5:21challenging. I mean, but it depends, right,
- 5:23What kind of believer, I guess you could say, right.
- 5:26Yeah, believer is just scratching the surface.
- 5:29You know, they believe that basically the quote that I ended
- 5:35up, I ended the the previous episode like don't let your
- 5:40ambitious dictate what you want to do for God.
- 5:42Yeah, absolutely. Not only just don't let your
- 5:44ambitious dictate what you want to do for God, but also you're
- 5:47also determining that your desires and goals you you think
- 5:52that God is going to align with you in that.
- 5:55So essentially, believers have a.
- 6:02They're go getters. That's not a necessarily a bad
- 6:05thing. No, it's definitely not a bad
- 6:07thing to be a go to have the go getter personality.
- 6:10It means you know, you are determined to, you know,
- 6:13determined to get a task done or get tasks done with correct
- 6:17within a within a certain time frame.
- 6:20And, you know, it's a part of a, it's a part of somebody's
- 6:23character for sure. Yeah.
- 6:26But there can be also negative consequences to that.
- 6:30Yeah, In regards to go getter because I mean, I mean as a
- 6:36believer you're, you're not necessarily.
- 6:37I mean, we know that we have to work to to eat.
- 6:42Yeah, yeah. No, we definitely do have to
- 6:44work to eat. But here's the problem.
- 6:46Like, you know, The thing is that like, since we live, you
- 6:51know, we do live in this country where like we can find jobs
- 6:54anywhere. Literally bro.
- 6:56At at any time, right, you could get a job tomorrow and people
- 7:00and people say like, oh, you know, I ate, I ate, I ate, I
- 7:03ate, right? But the only thing about the
- 7:05physical bread and then when it comes to the spiritual bread,
- 7:07which you know comes from God, then they don't really consider
- 7:10that part of it. They don't consider that the
- 7:12part of like, is this really going to get me closer to God or
- 7:15farther away from God? They're just like, oh, wow, this
- 7:17is a higher paycheck. This is from God.
- 7:21But we look at scripture, who is the best man that has come out
- 7:25of a woman? John the Baptist, his name was
- 7:27John the Baptist. He's a hobo in the wilderness.
- 7:31Technically, yeah. The JA crickets and honey.
- 7:34Grasshoppers. Yeah, and Christ was like, he's
- 7:36one of the best man has come out of a woman.
- 7:39So we know we're so fixated on like building in the tower,
- 7:44continue to growing and building that tower.
- 7:46You know what? I want you to find that verse.
- 7:48No, I'm going to. I'm going to but.
- 7:49But back on to what Diego said and what Joe's saying, like
- 7:54having a go, you know, what was that go go go getter?
- 7:57I mean having a go getter mentality, I said it's not
- 7:59exactly a bad thing, no? It's a good thing, right?
- 8:02It's. Definitely a part of somebody's
- 8:03character, as I mentioned, but I don't think that should be
- 8:06somebody's identity either. Correct.
- 8:08I like how you said that and adding to what Joe just said
- 8:11about how like we don't consider right, if that will bring you
- 8:19closer or keep your way right, right or minimize the time or it
- 8:25will dwindle your flame before the Lord.
- 8:29And so it's almost like I had there's like, again, our brother
- 8:36Wilmer, he, he mentioned how like there's these little
- 8:39sacrifices you're going to have to make along the way.
- 8:41Yeah, so when? You walk with them, right?
- 8:42Right. Right.
- 8:44Like I did want to emphasize a little bit on the on the story.
- 8:48Like I did want to emphasize though, so one of my one of my
- 8:52good friends, one of my good friends, he was telling me about
- 8:57a job opportunity. Well, actually it was, to be
- 8:59honest, it was two job opportunities, 2 potential ones.
- 9:03But I didn't really think of much of it.
- 9:06But then he told me about it and I tried at the one spot and then
- 9:11he was then I just knew right from the bat it wasn't.
- 9:16It wasn't meant to be because somehow I few date because I
- 9:20called the guy first. I called the boss and I asked
- 9:23him, oh, you know, got openings, yes, yadda, yadda.
- 9:26And then he said, yes, I do have a job openings.
- 9:29And then then a few days later I called him back because I wanted
- 9:35to, you know, get back in touch with them to see what what he
- 9:40had to offer or what or what else was there because I wanted
- 9:42a better description of the job and then call him back.
- 9:47I think it was called him initially on a Monday, and then
- 9:51I called him on Thursday, a Thursday of that week.
- 9:56And then I call him. He picks up the phone and he
- 10:01asked me, oh, who's calling? I was like, I don't know, it's
- 10:03me Diego calling, you know, from from Monday.
- 10:06Remember our conversation. And then literally, he hangs up
- 10:11on me. Oh, really?
- 10:13Like legit. Yeah, legit.
- 10:15Like the call just like ended, so I just knew.
- 10:17Nah, he definitely hung up on me.
- 10:19That's crazy. Like.
- 10:20I don't know what. Yeah, you didn't tell us that.
- 10:23This is the first time I hear this.
- 10:24Yeah. No, this is new, Yeah.
- 10:27How'd you, how'd you feel about that, knowing that you could
- 10:29have had an opportunity? Yet it was a pretty solid
- 10:33opportunity that it was meeting. It was meeting characteristics,
- 10:39especially with good hours. But then I realized then that's
- 10:45not where God needs me. Then He doesn't want me to be
- 10:49there maybe. Yeah, 'cause The thing is, like
- 10:52we've said this before. I was convinced at that point.
- 10:55You know, for those who don't know the he, he, he likes the
- 11:01idea of, you know, driving semi trucks.
- 11:03Yeah, right. And that seems to be like his
- 11:06passion. Yeah.
- 11:09But not, you know, not just you like other believers sometimes,
- 11:13sometimes, sometimes kind of doesn't really care about your
- 11:17passions like you, not that like he doesn't care in a
- 11:20disrespectful way. No, no, no, yeah, he just okay.
- 11:24It's more like, that's great, it's cute.
- 11:26But here's what I have for you, my will, you know what I mean?
- 11:31Like, you know, the last episode we recorded, we talked about how
- 11:33like we don't have free will and we don't.
- 11:35And I'm firm with that. We only have a choice.
- 11:37And the only one that has free will is God because he can will
- 11:41to whatever he wants. He declares, like we said
- 11:44before, if that is eternal or if that is not eternal, he, he's
- 11:49God, He can do whatever he wants.
- 11:51So for you to say that you can involve your passions and
- 11:53desires and goals into his will, you know you're kind of foolish
- 11:58for that. Yeah.
- 12:00It's kind of foolish to be like. And I know that's hard to hear.
- 12:03That almost a gun. No, no, that's just hard to
- 12:06hear. I was going to say by what Brian
- 12:08just said, and now that I think about that, that almost sounds
- 12:11disrespectful. Lord, if you're trying to put
- 12:13your passions ahead of them, or if you're trying to dictate
- 12:16like, you know, you're trying to dictate the God that no, this is
- 12:20my passion, This is what I want to do, and I want you to make it
- 12:23happen. Yeah.
- 12:24Yeah. It's almost, it's almost like
- 12:26you're disrespecting God. I mean, think about it, it's
- 12:28like you're putting your goals and dreams as if it's equal to
- 12:31God. It's not that's nothing to God.
- 12:34Think about it like, not even the Seraphim's who are like,
- 12:37literally next to God, who are like way, like, you know,
- 12:41they're, they're probably so majestic.
- 12:44I bet you they don't even do that.
- 12:45They do God's will. All they do is say holy, holy,
- 12:47you know, all day long, right? Yeah.
- 12:49So it's like to say that you were going to put your goals and
- 12:53dreams right next to God's standards or God's playing
- 12:56field. You're a fool.
- 12:57Oh. Yeah, quite, quite honestly,
- 12:59like when you, when you had told us that you were, you know,
- 13:03they're letting you go, right? Yeah.
- 13:05Like I was kind of like excited for you.
- 13:09Now that's going to sound ridiculous for some people.
- 13:12Oh yeah, they're oh, you're selfish, whatever.
- 13:16But to me, but to me the reason why I was like excited was
- 13:23because like this is good in. A way like.
- 13:26The key like in my opinion is you need this.
- 13:28Yes, yes, absolutely. Right.
- 13:30Absolutely. Yeah.
- 13:32Now, other people who get fired, you deserve it because you never
- 13:35got your act together. You should have known to do
- 13:37better. Yeah, but that wasn't
- 13:38necessarily your case. You were doing.
- 13:40You're giving a your. All Yeah, you were doing your
- 13:41best, yeah. Perhaps you just couldn't deal
- 13:43with the poor management or whatever that may be, But I
- 13:47thought in my head I was like, no, this is this is a good thing
- 13:49for you, man, right? Yeah, like I'm not throwing
- 13:52anybody under the bus, but yeah, that's my last job.
- 13:54Yeah, especially the environment with the management.
- 13:57Yeah, it wasn't the, IT wasn't the greatest.
- 14:00And yeah, just I did my best at my job and it just wasn't the
- 14:06place for me. And you know, God decided to put
- 14:09that in their hearts to let me go.
- 14:11No. So that's why when you told me
- 14:12that. It sounds weird, like, you know,
- 14:14somebody who like you mentioned, like somebody who's not a
- 14:17believer like me saying this or you saying I'm excited that you
- 14:22got like fired. Or no, I know.
- 14:23I don't know what they're gonna think.
- 14:25They would think. They would think it's absolutely
- 14:27stupid. Yeah.
- 14:30People would see it as like a bad thing.
- 14:31They would be like, guys, pray for me.
- 14:35Pray for you for what? Like what do you mean like so
- 14:37that you can have another job the same way or you can get a
- 14:40better job that like gives you a higher pay.
- 14:43Like what? What do you mean by praying?
- 14:44Do you mean like so God can mold you in that process?
- 14:48Like what type of prayer are we talking about?
- 14:50Yeah, because exactly. Or because I have a like, I'm
- 14:56not trying to put you on like under the bus here, but like
- 15:00when you like got the Chatham job, like wherever you're
- 15:03working, Did you initially ask God?
- 15:07No, I didn't ask God for it so. And that happens with with a lot
- 15:13of many, I would say some believers, many believers like
- 15:16then after something happens, then they want prayer now.
- 15:19Yes, yes, we. Didn't even ask prayer for the
- 15:22first time. The first time, correct?
- 15:23Or even consult. God, yeah, Now you want
- 15:26consultation. Yeah, yeah.
- 15:27Which in, in, in, yes, it's good.
- 15:30But now, now, now you want prayer because you just applied
- 15:33to another place and now you're hoping that this one pans out.
- 15:37That was my mentality right there, like, you know, just
- 15:40applying to places blindly and I'm like, I'm praying to God,
- 15:43like, like. Yeah, we got this.
- 15:45And The thing is, we don't want to be cornered or be against the
- 15:48wall with the sword because we're like, Oh my God, the bill
- 15:50is coming, right? Or I'll have to tap into my
- 15:53savings and all that. But I'm like, but you're OK,
- 15:55though. You're not sleeping in the
- 15:57street. No.
- 15:58You're not a hobo. Yeah.
- 16:01Like, you're not like John the Baptist, like, just randomly
- 16:04wandering around, right. Like you have, you know, where
- 16:07you can shower. You have money to eat.
- 16:11Yeah. And and we, we think like, like,
- 16:16because the culture's like that in America.
- 16:18We're like in this survival mode.
- 16:19Yeah, right, right, right. Yeah.
- 16:21You're tweaking. Yeah, right.
- 16:23Absolutely. I don't know what I'm just
- 16:25saying. Right, right.
- 16:26It's just the yeah, like when I, when you, you know, Brian and
- 16:31Oscar, you know, were telling me about, you know, about what I
- 16:36was going through or even at first, I was actually not
- 16:40understanding it at first. No, yeah, I could tell.
- 16:42I could tell you. You there's like friction.
- 16:47You're almost like. I was confused.
- 16:51I don't think confused. I think you were just like being
- 16:53charged because like, Oh my God, these, these kids, like these
- 16:55guys, they're just, I don't understand.
- 16:57They're willing to just give up. You know, you know, like like
- 17:01you said before, like when we hang out, you were like, dude,
- 17:04no one, no one, not even that churches have have actually
- 17:07spoken to me like this, like saying like basically what we
- 17:10were telling you is literally what every church should say.
- 17:13Just trust God. They say that, but do they
- 17:16really know what do they understand what that means?
- 17:19Like when we explained it, when we explained it to you, then you
- 17:22were like, whoa, like no one has ever really like said this to me
- 17:28and we're just going based off of what Scripture says.
- 17:30Well, I'm going to say like, you know, that's not I'm definitely
- 17:33now I know at least within our our circle, I know I'm
- 17:37definitely not the first person to say it now because, you know,
- 17:40you had a conversation with our one of our female friends in our
- 17:43group. Yeah, no names mentioned here,
- 17:46but yeah, even she said on Sunday that we had the talk with
- 17:50her and she said, well, you were especially having the talk with
- 17:53her, Oscar. And she said, wow, like, I can't
- 17:55believe no one at church and whether it's my current church
- 18:00or on my past church, like, you know, nobody's talked to me this
- 18:03way. And she's, she was almost like,
- 18:06not like. She was just like, like, I
- 18:09wouldn't even say shocked. Not shocked but couldn't
- 18:11understand what was going. On she was just like and she was
- 18:15taking it. She wanted this.
- 18:16Yes, right. Yes, she was.
- 18:18She was humble about it, too. And The thing is like, like the
- 18:22things that I said to her, Yeah. My reaction to when you lost
- 18:26your job, I just see it like it's a this is a good thing.
- 18:31A good thing, right? Yeah.
- 18:33Like a good thing because in your case, right, you have now
- 18:37time that that the job takes away from you for you to
- 18:42meditate. Thank God, read his scripture.
- 18:46Yep, right. In her case, your friend, she
- 18:52needs to slow down. She can't just escape and run
- 18:57away, right? There is a sense of resisting,
- 19:00yes, but resisting doesn't necessarily mean always to run
- 19:03away. But there there is some
- 19:05scripture where it says run from us to run away from it.
- 19:07From Lust, Yeah, right. But you can't you?
- 19:11That should be a balance. No, yeah, I mean it says run
- 19:14away from lust, but then other things like in life and
- 19:17scripture doesn't say to run away, but rather to bring it to
- 19:19God and trust God the more. You know what I mean?
- 19:22See, the more I meditate or the more I was meditating, what I
- 19:26was so affected on just looking for a job, like something like I
- 19:30was looking for something that at least originally I was
- 19:33looking for something that just paid very well.
- 19:35And I wasn't really thinking about the pros and the cons of
- 19:39how it could affect me in my daily life or spiritually.
- 19:44And then I come to find out that really like the pay.
- 19:50I mean, of course the pay does matter, but but it really it
- 19:58did. But it didn't matter at the same
- 19:59time. Like it wasn't something you
- 20:01should be focused on, is that what you're saying?
- 20:04Yes and no. I I would like to say yes and no
- 20:07because yes, definitely you should be worried about the pay,
- 20:12but in but in the in the sense no, because at least you would,
- 20:17you would want to be somewhere where, you know, you're at least
- 20:21making enough to, you know, to survive or pay your bills
- 20:26necessities. That's when I really thought
- 20:29that mattered the most in the end.
- 20:31Right. Yeah.
- 20:32So the job I'm at now, I just started.
- 20:38I stumbled across that, across that, through one of my friends.
- 20:45Yeah, I stumbled. I stumbled across it through my
- 20:46friends. And then funny thing is he
- 20:52discovered it before even me. So I wasn't even looking for
- 20:55that. And then I just walk into the
- 20:57office and they say, oh, like, oh, you're looking for a job
- 21:01then. And and then you have the job
- 21:04now, right? Yeah, you know, they just told
- 21:06me, oh, come try out one of these days.
- 21:08And let me ask you, how's your schedule?
- 21:11OK, it's, it's not your average 9:00 to 5:00, but I get in at
- 21:165:00 in the morning and I'm getting off anywhere between
- 21:19let's say 2:00 in the afternoon or 4:00 in the afternoon.
- 21:24So you still pretty much, I still pretty much have the day
- 21:28to myself and, you know, definitely have time to, you
- 21:31know, especially catch up with Brian Oscar read scripture or
- 21:35even if it was on my own time. Yeah, so that's why.
- 21:39Or meditate. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:40So that's why I was like excited when when you know, when he lost
- 21:46his job, because I was like, this is good for him to
- 21:48administer and administrate his time with God and being diligent
- 21:53how important it actually is, like because I'm going to tell
- 21:55you something, man. I manage.
- 21:56Our lives, our lives as believers are completely
- 21:59different from the secular world, bro.
- 22:01Like, it's not going to be the same dude.
- 22:03They're not going to understand. There's just no shot there to
- 22:05understand that, be you Catholic, Orthodox, or
- 22:08Protestant. It's just our life is different.
- 22:10It's very different. At any moment you try to make it
- 22:12similar to the secular, it's because you want it to be the
- 22:14same, correct? Absolutely.
- 22:17You know, and, and we're in America, obviously.
- 22:20Yeah, yeah. And there's a good, we were
- 22:22having this conversation too, that like the sacrifices that we
- 22:26make versus other people making sacrifices were they're
- 22:28different, they're on different levels, right.
- 22:31But over here, we live in a country that's very
- 22:34materialistic. Oh, way too materialistic.
- 22:37Very competitive. Yeah, I was going to say the
- 22:40competition because, you know, everybody wants the latest, the
- 22:44latest thing or the next best. Thing or whatever it is or you
- 22:48want to be the best at everything, it doesn't matter
- 22:50what it is. That'd be career, sports, music,
- 22:53no matter what, right, Right. It's already systematized,
- 22:57right, right. It's so artificial now.
- 23:01Mm hmm, right. And the only way to even have a
- 23:03taste of even like a taste of organic of that organic blessing
- 23:08is you kind of just have to like not trust in the system and kind
- 23:12of trust in God, not kind of like fully trusting.
- 23:15God, Fully trusting God. Yeah, absolutely.
- 23:16I. Definitely think, I definitely
- 23:18think there's a, there's a sense of lust to that, I guess.
- 23:23Lust for competition, Lust for ambition.
- 23:25The lust of life, exactly. You know, like lust doesn't only
- 23:31I've realized at least maybe throughout the last two to three
- 23:35years. Yeah, that's a that's a good
- 23:37time frame. But yeah, I've realized that
- 23:41that lust is not only not only sex related, you could have
- 23:47lust, you could be lustful towards other things that are
- 23:50completely unrelated to it. Yeah, absolutely, absolutely.
- 23:53You can listen over a lot of things.
- 23:56Some people lust over money, some people lust over careers,
- 23:59lust over ambition. Yeah.
- 24:01Well, yeah, you could. Yeah.
- 24:02Like I said, you could lust for anything.
- 24:05Yeah, absolutely. Do you want to read the verse?
- 24:07Because I, I, I, I believe you have it.
- 24:09Yes, I do go for now. Like before I read this, right?
- 24:14Like we're going to read something like I, you know, when
- 24:21I first read it, I was like, wow, it really amazed me.
- 24:25But this right here, this what we're about to read really
- 24:30reminds me of like everything that's going on right now.
- 24:33So I'm about to read it right now.
- 24:34It's Luke chapter 14 verse 25 all the way to 35.
- 24:42OK all. Right, so it says here now great
- 24:48crowds were travelling with him. So he turned and said to them,
- 24:55sounds, doesn't that sound familiar, right.
- 24:57A great crowd. What's happening now?
- 25:00Everybody wants to follow Christ.
- 25:01All of a sudden everybody. So Christ, he turns.
- 25:04It's like this emotion. Yes, this emotion that like, Oh
- 25:06yes, you know, this is so cool is you know, this is.
- 25:09The adrenaline, that adrenaline, we're following this guy, yes.
- 25:12We're following him. We're following him.
- 25:13So Jesus, you know, he turns, he turns to them.
- 25:18What were you gonna? Say no you not since you read
- 25:21that that verse. What book was that book?
- 25:23In chapter Luke. Chapter 14 OK, yeah.
- 25:27So you were just reading up on that and I like how it said
- 25:31crowd and then you brought up like, oh, like a lot of people
- 25:34are starting to follow Christ right now, right?
- 25:37But then it makes me think for some reason I feel like on
- 25:40social media especially, I mean this is going off topic a little
- 25:44now, but. No, it it does tie.
- 25:47Up with it. No, I'll tie up with it.
- 25:48Absolutely, go for it. Eventually it will.
- 25:50Yeah, you're right. You're right.
- 25:51I'll take back what I said. What?
- 25:53Verse is that I'm sorry before you move forward.
- 25:55Luke chapter 14, verse 25 all. Right.
- 25:58Cool. All the way to 35 I got it.
- 26:01Go ahead and finish what you're gonna say.
- 26:02Yeah. And I was saying on second
- 26:04thought, yeah, I'll take back what I just said because yeah,
- 26:07it does tie in very well because all of a sudden, like there's a
- 26:12huge Instagram, Instagram huge trend.
- 26:14So a huge. Trend so.
- 26:16Like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, you're seeing all
- 26:20these reels of people following Christ.
- 26:23Like I even showed my friend Brian like the other day I was
- 26:28actually I thought it was quite hysterical like the thought of
- 26:33this of this Instagram reel and slash idea.
- 26:36I thought it was hysterical at the same time, but very
- 26:38disturbing at the same time because it was like a group of
- 26:43Christian women forming this nightclub, this Christian
- 26:47nightclub in LA. Oh.
- 26:49Christian Christian Club. Yeah, you've you've talked.
- 26:51About Yeah, we, we've, we've talked about this before.
- 26:53Like that was actually such a thing like.
- 26:56This. There's one like in Florida, one
- 26:58in Cali. The one I read I saw on
- 27:00Instagram, it was apparently it was like in LA or yeah and like
- 27:03that. And she said supposedly the the
- 27:06girl I started, it said God told us to start a a Christian club.
- 27:11That's yeah, I remember. I remember I said that.
- 27:13To you I was like, I don't know what God you're listening to.
- 27:15But no, no, mind you, we're, we're call meanies.
- 27:22Oh, you guys are judging people like come on, man.
- 27:24We're not, we're not judging anybody.
- 27:26No, like you, you, you need, you need to know the difference of
- 27:29like, who are you speaking to, like and who are you listening
- 27:32to your own consciousness or your subconscious like, like.
- 27:36Right. Yeah, yeah.
- 27:38Like people forget that they have a conscience too.
- 27:40Like, yeah, like you can talk to yourself in your brain.
- 27:41Like don't, don't, don't, don't tell me that you don't.
- 27:44Right. But that's a different
- 27:45conversation, though. Exactly.
- 27:47But but but what you were saying, based on what he just
- 27:49read, you're noticing this trend happening in social media.
- 27:53People are just coming to Christ.
- 27:54You know, you're just coming to Christ.
- 27:56And then you're just like, they're coming to Christ and
- 27:59they don't understand what that actually, yes, genuinely means
- 28:02at a deeper level. I feel like a lot of people are
- 28:04doing it out of just pure emotion without even realizing
- 28:08what it actually means. Like for instance, like just to
- 28:11throw a little humor in there. I was actually, I was actually
- 28:15laugh. I was dying at one of the
- 28:16comments in that, in that reel about that Christian nightclub
- 28:19in Cali. And one of the question, I don't
- 28:22know, one of the comments said, if I'm not mistaken, I think it
- 28:26said club. All right.
- 28:28I can't even remember the name it was either.
- 28:34I don't know. It was either like Club, it was
- 28:36either like Club Moab or that's too far, I can't or something
- 28:40like that. I can't even see.
- 28:42I can't even take these. What?
- 28:44Club Moab. And you know what?
- 28:46Like you, Something like that. And when he reads it, you will
- 28:50understand why that bro, like I understand why that came up.
- 28:54Yeah, yeah, yeah. So if you want to continue
- 28:56reading. Makes complete sense.
- 28:59So it says here, I mean let me start from 25 now great crowds
- 29:04that were travelling with him. So he turned and said to them,
- 29:11this is Christ telling them right.
- 29:12If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and
- 29:20mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and
- 29:30even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.
- 29:36Are we still disciples of Christ?
- 29:37Are we? Are we disciples?
- 29:39Oh man, because some Christians believe that we're not
- 29:42disciples. This blows my mind because
- 29:46Christ was pretty clear about this.
- 29:48Are we disciples? And a disciples is not just
- 29:50someone who follows from a distance, no.
- 29:53It's. Not you walk, think definitely
- 29:55like him in every way. Yes, absolutely.
- 29:58He is your blood, your breath, everything.
- 30:02Not some symbol, not something that you write down, not
- 30:05something that you go on a Sunday and read.
- 30:06It's he's your life pretty. Much.
- 30:09It's everything. It's everything.
- 30:11Exactly. Now moving on, he says.
- 30:14Whoever does not bear his own cross.
- 30:18So everybody has to bear their own cross.
- 30:20You're not, you know what I mean.
- 30:22And come after me cannot be my disciple.
- 30:29Now he moves on to this part, which is really interesting.
- 30:31Pay close attention to what he says, and you can pause me at
- 30:34any time. For which of you wanting to
- 30:38build a tower doesn't first sit down and calculate the cost to
- 30:46see if he has enough to complete it.
- 30:50Otherwise after he has laid the foundation and cannot finish it,
- 30:55all the onlookers will begin to ridicule him saying this man
- 31:00started to build and wasn't able to finish.
- 31:03Now what do you guys think about that one?
- 31:05That's gonna be I think this play for literally first came to
- 31:09my mind. That's gonna be 1 expensive
- 31:11tower because. I'm.
- 31:14Sorry about the way you said. This it's an expensive tower in
- 31:17the sense that you know you're doing it.
- 31:20Essentially, you're doing it at your at your own cost, meaning
- 31:27you're building that tower at your own risk spiritually.
- 31:31Oh, I see. No, I see where you're coming
- 31:33from. Yeah, you see.
- 31:34It's the best way I could kind of describe that, yeah.
- 31:37Right, right, right. So no, it's interesting.
- 31:39So you're, you're looking at it in this way, you're saying that
- 31:42like when when you walk, when you walk in this walk with God,
- 31:46it's you're going all in. Is that what you're trying to
- 31:48say? I'm sorry, review that again.
- 31:51So when you're going in this walk with God, are you trying to
- 31:53say that you're going all in with this walk?
- 31:55Is that what you're saying? No, with what I was saying is
- 31:59that's going to be an expensive tower.
- 32:00No, that's not what I was implying.
- 32:02What I was implying was an expensive tower.
- 32:04So pretty much it's like you're challenging God by wanting to
- 32:09keep building that tower. Ah.
- 32:11That's what I say with the risk, right, that's.
- 32:14What I meant by? Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
- 32:17You're building that tower at your own risk and that's why I
- 32:20said it's gonna be expensive because the consequence will be
- 32:23will be expensive. So it's.
- 32:24Gonna be tough so so so you understand what this means then?
- 32:27Huh. Yeah.
- 32:28Yeah, Immediately. Yeah.
- 32:30Immediately, so you understand. I don't know how this goes over.
- 32:32No, dude, some people interpret this as like, you see, you have
- 32:36to plan for your life. You see, you have to sit back
- 32:38and plan because look, even Christ says you know you sit
- 32:41back otherwise people are going to make fun of you.
- 32:43Well, that's why in the beginning he says, hate your
- 32:46life, hate your family. Hating your life would imply
- 32:50that if you started with the foundation now, you just stop
- 32:52building it. Yes.
- 32:54So how do you how do you interpret this bro?
- 32:58Well, for me, it's like, for me, it hit me really hard.
- 33:01Right. I like the way Diego said it.
- 33:03No. Yeah.
- 33:03The way he's saying it, it's because he sees it from his
- 33:06perspective. Yes to the life that he's
- 33:08living. Yes, absolutely.
- 33:09That's. Perfect the way you said it.
- 33:11Because because of your sacrifices that you've made,
- 33:13because you want to follow God, is that that's actually that's
- 33:16the reason. Why?
- 33:17And, and, but mind you, he's taught he's saying it from the
- 33:19perspective of someone who essentially doesn't have or own
- 33:23a business, right? Just building this lifestyle,
- 33:26career, prepping yourself right, doing your thing, challenging
- 33:31God. I like how he said that when I,
- 33:33when we were reading this. I've read this so many times,
- 33:37dude, right. But just recently kind of just
- 33:41hit me harder because I've always been self-employed.
- 33:44But at the level that I am right now, it's, it's a different kind
- 33:47of self-employment because now, now that I'm self-employed, I'm
- 33:50I'm also employing others. Yeah.
- 33:52It's a lot much of a bigger scale.
- 33:56So what happens is it feels great.
- 34:00And although God gave me this, it's a blessing that he gave me,
- 34:03right? And sometimes there's a tendency
- 34:05for me to use that towards my advantage.
- 34:08He's wicked, right? Such challenge got in those
- 34:11those areas. So what starts to happen is
- 34:13that, Oh well, you know, not that you care about what others
- 34:17think or mostly family. I could care less what anybody
- 34:20says, you know, you know, like, of course they see me, you know,
- 34:25building this feels good. Yes, yeah.
- 34:30But when we read this, I'm like, what?
- 34:33In other words, at some point, this is something he gave me
- 34:36that's foundational. Yeah, It's not a he didn't give
- 34:39me a tower. He didn't say built a tower,
- 34:41right? He just said this is a
- 34:42foundation for now. Yes.
- 34:45When I read this, read it, it reminded me like at some point
- 34:48he's going to tell me you're done.
- 34:49Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right.
- 34:51But see, this is from my perspective, not like from
- 34:53Diego, but the way Diego said it was perfect, right?
- 34:55From my perspective was coming from us as a business owner.
- 34:58Uh huh. So it hit me hard.
- 35:00Yeah, right. Because the following versus a
- 35:02king knows when his defeat is. Right, right.
- 35:05Yeah, yeah. So when I read this I was like,
- 35:08bit us building the tower is our pride, our ego.
- 35:11Our success, our career, absolutely.
- 35:13But we want to be building that tower well, thinking we can
- 35:16follow God. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 35:18Like that crowd so. Exactly.
- 35:20And you know what, when I was reading this, I'm, I'm not even
- 35:22joking, I had to read it like like a good like 15 times or I
- 35:26don't even know how many times I read it, but I was like, what in
- 35:29the world does this mean? And then they hit me.
- 35:31I was like, ah, so I understand this now.
- 35:33So when he says for which one of you wanting to build a tower
- 35:36doesn't first sit down and calculate the cost, You know,
- 35:39what do we do in our life? We're always calculating.
- 35:42We're always calculating this risk, that risk, this outcome,
- 35:45and that outcome. We're always calculating.
- 35:46Every little right, calculating every little thing right but.
- 35:50We always calculate. But we do it because either
- 35:53we're helping our folks, our siblings.
- 35:58Yes. It's because of someone.
- 36:00Yes, yes, we're always trying to calculate this and.
- 36:03That so in the context of all of this, because a lot of believers
- 36:06like to say in the context, right, but in this in this
- 36:11Christ is describing absolute loyalty.
- 36:13Yes, it's what he's describing. Absolutely right.
- 36:16Like undivided attention to him while at the same time bearing
- 36:21your own cross. Yes, absolutely now.
- 36:24And what happens when you come to Christ?
- 36:26What does Christ say to us? Deny yourself.
- 36:30Pick up your cross and follow me.
- 36:33So that means that tower that you were planning on building
- 36:35or. If you were already.
- 36:37In it, or if you were, yeah, already in it, pretty.
- 36:39Much destroy it. Now you gotta be like, well, I'm
- 36:42not gonna build it anymore. And that, right there, is why I
- 36:45was happy when Diego got fired, no offense.
- 36:52I mean, now I think it's just the I just look back and I'm
- 36:54like, Oh, yeah, it happened, yeah.
- 36:57Yeah, and also remember, like even though God provided you
- 36:59this job. Oh yeah, yeah.
- 37:01And you in the beginning weren't OK with it when I asked you, are
- 37:04you, would you be OK if you did, you know, sanitary stuff?
- 37:08Yeah. So yeah, you just like, you
- 37:11know, like I felt I never desired.
- 37:13I didn't really feel bad, but of.
- 37:15Course you didn't. But but yeah, I kind of was
- 37:19like, this is good, this is good.
- 37:21Yeah, this is good. Yeah, it's like.
- 37:23This is the job I have right now.
- 37:25Yeah, and you've learned this because you also know that it
- 37:28can happen with this job too. Yeah, and if it could happen,
- 37:31they could decide not to keep me.
- 37:33To be like, you know, you'd be like, OK.
- 37:34Yeah, no, when you're. No, no, no, go ahead, Go ahead.
- 37:37I. Was like, I could walk in
- 37:38tomorrow and they could say no, we don't need you anymore.
- 37:41I know we can. Yeah, I know it can happen.
- 37:44I mean hopefully not the case, but if God allows it then have
- 37:49to deal with it. Well, so like man, like with God
- 37:52bro, it's. Get challenge.
- 37:55It's like what I'm getting out of this is basically like, yeah,
- 37:59legit don't care what people say.
- 38:02Yeah, because I mean, if you think about it, previous
- 38:04episode, we're saying you don't have free will, David says.
- 38:07I am going to give you sacrifice.
- 38:10I'm a sacrifice, my free will. I'm gonna give my free will as
- 38:13an I'm. Gonna give my free will as an
- 38:15offering. As an offering, yes.
- 38:19He's giving up his decisions. Yes.
- 38:22OK. Once you recognize that, now
- 38:24comes the application. Absolutely.
- 38:27And that's the application that we're talking about.
- 38:28I guess you could say that, right?
- 38:30Yeah, how if you recognize and you say, right, I don't have
- 38:34free will, just have choices. Yeah.
- 38:37I think what I could say, I think what I really learned from
- 38:39getting laid off is that was like the moment I realized, man.
- 38:43So nothing really is forever here.
- 38:47No, no. And and you know, you know what
- 38:50man? Like honestly, that verse that
- 38:51we've been hearing almost our whole life, we are not of this
- 38:55world. How true?
- 38:56Do we really believe that that verse?
- 38:57You know what I mean? Like, do we really like see that
- 39:02as like, no, we are not of this world.
- 39:05So why, why should I be conformed to this world?
- 39:08So whatever happens is going to happen.
- 39:09Yeah, it's like, it's almost like we just give in too easily
- 39:12to our thoughts and then it just leads us to making rational
- 39:16decisions. And we start or.
- 39:18At least we think they're rational, yeah.
- 39:20We think they're rational. Right, right, right.
- 39:22Absolutely. It's rational.
- 39:23So continuing to it says or what king this is verse 31.
- 39:28If people are following it Or what king when he sets out to
- 39:30meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and
- 39:34consider whether he is strong enough with 1010 thousand men to
- 39:39face 1 coming against him with 20,000.
- 39:44Otherwise, while the other is still far away, he sends a a
- 39:48delegation and requests terms of peace.
- 39:51So then none of you can be my disciple who does not give up
- 39:56all his possess his own possessions.
- 39:59Wow, look at that. Even a king, A king who has
- 40:02dude, a king who has so much to lose, even he understands the
- 40:07concept of surrendering. So being a disciple of him at a
- 40:12certain level in your walk with Kud, uh huh.
- 40:15As you abide in Him, you have to be OK with not occasionally, all
- 40:23the time letting, letting, letting go of your possessions.
- 40:26Not seasonally like how they like saying it every season in
- 40:29this and that. It's daily.
- 40:30Daily. It's a daily walk.
- 40:32And I know even by the look you're giving, you're like, oh
- 40:34God not. Like I remember, like I remember
- 40:38like, you know, when I was, I was laid off and I realized,
- 40:41man, like, you know, we could have everything and then just
- 40:45lose it all in an instant. Yeah, that's what I really
- 40:49learned. Like I always heard people say
- 40:51that for the longest time, but I never really actually believed
- 40:56it till that time. I'm like, oh, like, I'll be
- 40:59honest, in my whole life, like granted, I've I've only lived
- 41:05about 30 years, turned 30 in three weeks.
- 41:08But the point is, I used to say to myself a lot, I don't think
- 41:13I'm ever going to be let go from a job.
- 41:16And it happened. Good.
- 41:19I hope you learned. I hope you learned your lesson.
- 41:21I. Hope you learned.
- 41:22Literally, I challenged God with that, with saying that even
- 41:25though it may have been a long time ago, but he remembers that.
- 41:28He remembers everything. Yeah, yeah.
- 41:30And mind you, being an employee, you at least have some sense of
- 41:36security of being an employer. That's totally.
- 41:40Difficult. Sometimes there's a sense of
- 41:41just ambiguity and. Ambitious.
- 41:44And you don't want to do and kind of like it's a lot of
- 41:48things are happening, a lot of things are happening.
- 41:51I think as an employer or the being an employer or being the
- 41:55owner of your own business, of course more is demanded.
- 41:59Yeah, definitely. But I think it's easier to be,
- 42:02it's much easier to be more ambitious at that point.
- 42:06Of course, yeah. So therefore that's why he says
- 42:09this based on the exactly what you just said.
- 42:12Therefore, salt is good. Yes, yeah.
- 42:15But even if salt has become tasteless, because salt can
- 42:19become tasteless, Yeah, with that it will be.
- 42:23With what? Will it be seasoned?
- 42:25It is useless either for the soil or for the manure pile, so
- 42:30it is thrown out. The one who has ears to hear,
- 42:34let him hear. So basically saying if you were
- 42:36a believer that is salt and it's tasteless, you're pretty much
- 42:41useless. Yes, absolutely.
- 42:43I thought that was a little funny and.
- 42:46Salt is. And you know.
- 42:47Salt is good. And you know what, You know
- 42:49what? This this last part makes so
- 42:51much sense with what everything Christ said.
- 42:52Because like, if you're a follower of Christ and you're
- 42:56out here pursuing your dreams and goals, what difference does
- 42:59it make for the one in the world also doing the same thing?
- 43:03Are you not a follower of Christian?
- 43:04You'd be different. You, you should, you should.
- 43:06You almost don't taste. There's no difference.
- 43:08There's no taste is the same. Exactly.
- 43:09It's like the world you should. Be a different taste.
- 43:11Yes, absolutely. So you should look, you should
- 43:14look different. Are you kidding me?
- 43:16When they see, when they see like that you are giving up
- 43:19things for God. That doesn't make sense.
- 43:21People are going to be like, what are you doing?
- 43:23Why are you doing this? What's going on?
- 43:25They're going to be interested and they're going to look at you
- 43:28like there's something wrong with this guy, but it's going to
- 43:32grab attention. It's going to be that salt that
- 43:35that people will taste. But I feel, but I feel like
- 43:37definitely you'll, you'll definitely run into that one
- 43:39person who will be very intrigued and they may, they may
- 43:44not be the ones that think it's weird, right?
- 43:46I think they'd be more intrigued.
- 43:47They're thinking it's weird. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 43:49They might be like wow, like why are you giving everything up for
- 43:52something you can't see? You're a salt.
- 43:54Yes, that's the season. Yes, you become salt and then
- 43:56they're just like interesting. Can you explain to you know,
- 43:59then then you know, things start to happen and how how can you be
- 44:04salt? How can you taste like salt if
- 44:05you're pursuing your goals and dreams, if you're still building
- 44:08that tower, if you still haven't surrendered your possessions,
- 44:11all these things, how can you, how can you really, truly be
- 44:14sold? Yeah, The world is going to look
- 44:16at you like, oh, he's. Yeah, he he's a cultural
- 44:19Christian. Or, you know, they don't even
- 44:21know that word, but they just automatically see it with their
- 44:23eyes. Oh, these guys, just like, you
- 44:24know, he just checks off the list probably on Sundays when
- 44:28there's that one guy, it goes all out for God.
- 44:30And they're just like, this guy is weird.
- 44:32What is this? Why is the guy doing all?
- 44:34Yeah. Why is the guy doing all this?
- 44:35Why is he so happy or such at peace all the time when he's
- 44:39giving up all these things? What doesn't make any sense?
- 44:42That's true. So that verse at the end and in
- 44:46some translations, the 34, when it talks about the salt, it
- 44:51actually says that that salt is useless.
- 44:53It's just to be trampled underneath the feet.
- 44:55Oh, no, no, no. That's in another gospel.
- 44:58But it is. That's what it's.
- 44:59Meant, oh, that's in a different gospel.
- 45:00Oh yeah, yeah. Imagine it's to be thrown.
- 45:02Thrown. That's it's use to be trampled.
- 45:04To be trampled under the feet. Useless.
- 45:07Christ calls it useless. Useless.
- 45:09Useless. Yeah, useless salt.
- 45:10So as believers that we give up possessions, obviously everybody
- 45:17will give them up accordingly on their walk with guys.
- 45:20Like it's not like that's one of our brothers who just like left
- 45:24everything and came to to New Jersey, right?
- 45:27Everybody, yeah, to turn capacity God works with.
- 45:30Yes, right. And that's a good point you're
- 45:32making because you don't want to do anything with false pretense.
- 45:36Even the tree in nature, you see that it has its moment of
- 45:39growing. Stop growing.
- 45:41You know, like what I mean by that is like it, it has its own
- 45:44like pace, it's own pace of growing.
- 45:47So keep that in mind. We are also trees in the eyes of
- 45:51God and. Because you said pace.
- 45:53This is why I wanted to read this, this, this verse right
- 45:58here. Hebrews actually 11.
- 46:03I mean, if you can find it, you can find.
- 46:04I'll just read it. I got.
- 46:06You basically, but without faith it is impossible to please him,
- 46:11for he who comes to God must believe that he is and that he
- 46:16is a rewarder of those who diligently keyword diligently,
- 46:23diligently seek him, right. You can't do things cold Turkey
- 46:29in certain things, yes, exactly. You, you walk with him, abide in
- 46:35him, right, right. You follow his commandments, all
- 46:39of that. They're abiding him, yes.
- 46:43Believing in Him, trusting in Him.
- 46:45You might not know all the answers.
- 46:46Yeah, that's OK. But as you're trusting in Him,
- 46:49you will recognize diligently to seeking Him.
- 46:53Absolutely. Right.
- 46:54And there's, there's another verse here too that I wanted to,
- 47:00if you don't mind me sharing with you guys.
- 47:06The end of all things is near like this is Peter 2 speaking
- 47:10to. But even in our time this can
- 47:12also be very true. Be as be of sound judgement.
- 47:18Discern well right, right and sober spirit for the purpose of
- 47:23prayer. So even in your prayer, your
- 47:25prayer has to be purposeful. Fear.
- 47:28Above all things, keep fervent in your love for one another,
- 47:32because love covers a multitude of sins.
- 47:34But could you OK say that again? Go for it.
- 47:37No that since you you just said make your prayer meaningful.
- 47:43Because if you are, if you ever sound judgement and sober
- 47:46spirit, you should be able to, yeah, pray diligently.
- 47:50I mean, James, James makes it pretty clear too.
- 47:53He says. You guys pray, but you guys pray
- 47:55for the wrong things. Oh, you see, you took it out of
- 47:58you took it out of my mouth because the I was I was just
- 48:01thinking. I feel like a lot of Christians
- 48:05pray for meaningless, meaningless things went out for
- 48:08a second. Yeah, I feel a lot of Christians
- 48:10pay pray for meaningless things, right, Right.
- 48:13Or things that shouldn't matter. Exactly, no, that's why I said I
- 48:19was like when people when they get let go of their jobs, they
- 48:21pray and and I'm just like, well, what are you praying for?
- 48:24You praying for another higher pay for a higher pay or another
- 48:28job? Like what are you praying for?
- 48:29Like I'm, you know, clearly right there in that verse, it
- 48:32says if you're going to pray, pray with purpose.
- 48:35Yeah. That's what it says.
- 48:36It's got to make sense. Sober spirit for the purpose.
- 48:39Yes. Of prayer.
- 48:40Why? For the purpose of prayer.
- 48:42Because if you're not in sound judgement or sober spirit,
- 48:46you're going to just speak nonsense in your prayer.
- 48:49Yeah. Yeah, It's for the purpose of
- 48:51prayer because you have a clear mind, you can discern.
- 48:53Yeah. Your spirit is sober.
- 48:55Right. And we can dive into that in
- 48:57other podcasts. What that actually means.
- 49:00Yeah. But in order to make a prayer,
- 49:02you, you have to have a clear mind.
- 49:03Absolutely. You can't let your thoughts run
- 49:07or your mind run amok. And that means it's like, like
- 49:09just spin. Yes, go too fast.
- 49:11Exactly. I realized like how meaningless
- 49:14some prayers can be. Like, for instance, I remember
- 49:18old an old Catholic friend of mine, he was, he said, well, at
- 49:25least when he used to go out and party, go to bars, clubs with
- 49:29his friends, he would say he needed to be in the right
- 49:34mindset spiritually to go out to a bar.
- 49:36And he said he would pray before going out to the bars or clubs.
- 49:41I'm like I've. Never heard of that so.
- 49:45You know, that's what I realized.
- 49:46Wow. So people actually pray for
- 49:48things that make no sense. That's wow.
- 49:51I don't even know how to. I don't even know how to react
- 49:53to that. Me me bro.
- 49:55You just blew my mind. I'm.
- 49:57Sure, people have prayed for crazier things.
- 49:59You're still blowing in my mind, but you could.
- 50:03But that's. Crazy.
- 50:04But you could definitely think definitely.
- 50:06Can't make this up. Nah man, can't make.
- 50:08It up though. I wish.
- 50:09I wish this was a joke. I wish, yeah.
- 50:12Oh man, so I'm sure. There are people who have prayed
- 50:14for more meaningless things. Yeah, absolutely.
- 50:17Absolutely. So I mean, as you know, no,
- 50:21Yeah, as you know, like the the the take away here is as a
- 50:26believer. Mm Hmm.
- 50:29All you need to know is that our lives are different.
- 50:32They're not the same like the secular word.
- 50:33As much as we want, if God decides to present something
- 50:37that he will use, like a vehicle if you will.
- 50:40Yes. For you to do his will in the
- 50:42Kingdom. That's it.
- 50:43The purpose of it is to, to, to, to, to make known to the souls
- 50:48so they can be guided. Yeah, right.
- 50:50So the Spirit of the Lord will guide them to Christ.
- 50:53We can't save them. Exactly.
- 50:55God that saves them. Exactly.
- 50:56Our job is to just be vessels, yes, Overseers, watchmen's,
- 51:01healers, whatever that may be, the deeper we go with God.
- 51:04And so don't build that tower. Yes, and surrender all your
- 51:10possessions. Seek God diligently, right?
- 51:14Right. I guess either you just knock
- 51:16that tower down or just don't just leave it.
- 51:20And be clear minded or sound of judgement sober and spirits so
- 51:25that so that your prayer. It can be.
- 51:29Me, me, me meaningful. Thank you, Diego, for for being
- 51:32here with us. So it's a great, great pleasure.
- 51:35Oh. No, thank you for definitely
- 51:36thank you for you guys having me.
- 51:38Yeah, of course. Again, you know, definitely it
- 51:40was a we're. Gonna have many others coming
- 51:41in. Yeah, man, absolutely.
- 51:43I. Would definitely love to have
- 51:45more guests. I mean, I would definitely love
- 51:47to not be the only guest. No, no, of course I.
- 51:49Would love to be around maybe some other guests that.
- 51:52Of course. So we're gonna close it with a
- 51:55prayer. All right, All right.
- 51:58Thank you, Father, for this opportunity for bringing us
- 52:02together to talk about the challenges that believers go
- 52:07through, even we go through at whatever level that we're in, in
- 52:10that walk with you and that you always have mercy upon us and
- 52:13that you always lead us away from temptation and, and, and
- 52:17help us forgive us. Forgive those so that you
- 52:21forgive us, right? And your name be glorified above
- 52:27all things. And that your name be blessed
- 52:30above all things. And that tonight we have a
- 52:33blessing night and that we go to sleep in peace.
- 52:35May the Holy Spirit be with us, protect us today and tomorrow
- 52:39will be another day because tomorrow has its own worries.
- 52:42Amen. Thank you guys.
- 52:43Until next time, follow us. Subscribe and till the next time
- 52:49guys.
