- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm
- 0:13Speaker 1: Megan and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan. I'm Wendy. I'm
- 0:16Speaker 1: a former Hallmark hater. On today's episode, we're discussing the
- 0:19Speaker 1: hotly anticipated I'll Be Seeing You, which originally aired on
- 0:22Speaker 1: the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, April twenty fifth, and is
- 0:25Speaker 1: currently available to stream on Hallmark. Plus a couple quick things.
- 0:29Speaker 1: We are on Instagram and we do have a Facebook group,
- 0:32Speaker 1: and both of them are full of people who love
- 0:34Speaker 1: homework as much as you do. We're Girls Gone Hallmark everywhere,
- 0:37Speaker 1: So join us on your social media platform of choice.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, and if you're not following us on Instagram,
- 0:45Speaker 1: I highly recommend it because we put our schedule out there.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You know. I saw you. You shared it last night
- 0:51Speaker 1: and I was like, whoa, whoa. There's even an episode
- 0:55Speaker 1: that we're dropping this week that's not on the schedule,
- 0:57Speaker 1: but we'll let you know on Instagram when that drops.
- 1:00Speaker 1: How are we functioning right now? I don't know, but anyway,
- 1:05Speaker 1: come follow us over there, please, Hey, let's talk. I'll
- 1:08Speaker 1: Be Seeing You with the synopsis when a work errand derails,
- 1:12Speaker 1: Amy's weekend plans with her grandma. They embark on a
- 1:15Speaker 1: road trip with one sentimental detour, but need the help
- 1:18Speaker 1: of a charming activities director.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Oh he is indeed charming. Mm hmm.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Jessica Harmon directed I'll Be Seeing You. A few of
- 1:27Speaker 1: her other homework projects are A Catch at the Day
- 1:29Speaker 1: and all three of the Aurora t Garden reboot movies.
- 1:32Speaker 1: The teleplay is by Joey Elkins and Blake Silver. The
- 1:36Speaker 1: story is from Katty Cloves and Joey Elkins and Blake Silver.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Tyler Hyans stars as Mark. He also serves as executive producer.
- 1:44Speaker 1: This is his first project for the network. Hey, I
- 1:47Speaker 1: don't think his last. Stacy Farber stars as Amy. She's
- 1:52Speaker 1: currently co starring in season two of the series Brilliant
- 1:55Speaker 1: Minds is a CBS I'm guessing that might be seen
- 2:01Speaker 1: SI adjacent situation. Tony Award winning actress Christine ever Sool
- 2:05Speaker 1: co stars as Vivian. We last saw Christine on Hallmark
- 2:08Speaker 1: in Holiday Touchdown at Chief's Love Story. Cove Storing who
- 2:13Speaker 1: co starring Tyler Hines. Yeah, familiar face. BJ Harrison plays Sue.
- 2:19Speaker 1: She was recently and she's making a list late last year.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Fred Henderson plays Teddy. Fred has a deep and varied resume.
- 2:26Speaker 1: But we last saw I'm on Hallmark in Christmas on
- 2:27Speaker 1: Cherry Lane. I'll Be Seeing You was filmed in Victoria,
- 2:31Speaker 1: British Columbia, Canada during September twenty twenty five. Hey, Wendy,
- 2:35Speaker 1: what was your first impression of I'll Be Seeing You?
- 2:38Speaker 1: Mister Golden Delicious showed up, he sure did. My first
- 2:43Speaker 1: impression is after watching this movie, I can't help but think,
- 2:45Speaker 1: what's my log cabin? Oh that's a very I don't
- 2:50Speaker 1: have an answer to that quite interesting question and one
- 2:52Speaker 1: I must ponder for myself. Yes, let's talk what we liked?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Can I start big list? I loved, not just liked,
- 3:05Speaker 1: but I loved the multi generational storytelling in this movie.
- 3:10Speaker 1: It really worked for me, and most importantly, I think
- 3:13Speaker 1: it really matters. This movie is not just like, oh,
- 3:16Speaker 1: through are these two familiar characters in your movie and
- 3:22Speaker 1: like as you know, background fund or a little comic
- 3:25Speaker 1: relief or whatever. Like I felt that Vivian and Sue
- 3:29Speaker 1: were the backbone of this movie. And I love their
- 3:33Speaker 1: perspective on love and life, and I think it is
- 3:37Speaker 1: the entire reason for the movie, like these two are
- 3:40Speaker 1: the movie. You know, it's interesting because I have this
- 3:43Speaker 1: in my digitsy that's but Tyler posted a tribute to
- 3:47Speaker 1: some of the incredible stars he's worked with on Instagram,
- 3:50Speaker 1: basically saying like this movie is for you, and it
- 3:52Speaker 1: was clips of him in movies like Always a More,
- 3:56Speaker 1: it was always You and of course Holiday Touchdown and
- 4:00Speaker 1: it's clips of Paula Shaw Ellen, Ros Gibson, Patty McCormick
- 4:03Speaker 1: at Begley Junior. I think your point is speaks to
- 4:07Speaker 1: that like this is who he made the movie for.
- 4:09Speaker 1: The love story exists, but he just has a lot
- 4:11Speaker 1: of respect for these actors. Yeah, that's nice. That's really nice.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Like he knows this man knows what he's doing, right,
- 4:18Speaker 1: he knows what he's doing. To continue with my like
- 4:21Speaker 1: in terms of the storytelling, what I've loved about the
- 4:25Speaker 1: characters of Vivian and Sue is that they don't lecture.
- 4:31Speaker 1: And I thought they the wisdom that they shared, their
- 4:35Speaker 1: perspective that they shared it was based on a life
- 4:41Speaker 1: well lived with love and loss and lessons they have learned,
- 4:46Speaker 1: and I just thought it was so nice. Well, I
- 4:50Speaker 1: think while we're talking about this ensemble cast. We have
- 4:54Speaker 1: off the charts chemistry from the entire ensemble in multiple pairings.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I think Vivian and Amy have great grandmother granddaughter chemistry.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Amy and Mark have great love interest chemistry. Vivi and
- 5:07Speaker 1: Sue have that great best friend chemistry. Mark and vivin
- 5:10Speaker 1: Sue they have this like surrogate grandson mutual respect situation
- 5:15Speaker 1: going on. There's no pairing that you're disappointed to see
- 5:18Speaker 1: that you're rushing.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Through to get to the next year.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just an absolute dream of an ensemble cast.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I think so too. There was one scene that war
- 5:26Speaker 1: I almost got choked up. It was towards the end,
- 5:29Speaker 1: and it's between b J. Harrison, Sue and Mark and
- 5:35Speaker 1: she's just giving him this like wise friend advice and
- 5:40Speaker 1: like kind of like you know, consoling him, like I'm
- 5:43Speaker 1: gonna say, rubbing his back but not you know what
- 5:45Speaker 1: I mean, like the grandma pat on the back. It's
- 5:48Speaker 1: okay sort of energy. And it was very believable in
- 5:55Speaker 1: terms of like, oh, I'm watching these characters, but like
- 5:58Speaker 1: I I wonder if just the set was very like
- 6:01Speaker 1: comfortable between the actors, like that they felt that they
- 6:05Speaker 1: could go to this this space and have these like
- 6:09Speaker 1: genuine connections between each other. It just it really translated
- 6:13Speaker 1: on screen. I thought, look, I texted you, but this
- 6:16Speaker 1: is the kind of movie where you get the Heine hype.
- 6:18Speaker 2: And I'm always a fan of Tyler.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I like his work, but this really is the kind
- 6:22Speaker 1: of movie that will fuel the rabid bandom that he has.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I have not seen a single negative take about this movie.
- 6:28Speaker 1: If you look at our first impressions on Instagram and
- 6:30Speaker 1: on Facebook, people are raving about this movie. You know,
- 6:34Speaker 1: Tyler is good at what he does, but he's exceptionally
- 6:37Speaker 1: good at what he does.
- 6:38Speaker 2: In this movie.
- 6:40Speaker 1: That being said, throwing it back to the ensemble, He's
- 6:42Speaker 1: not carrying this movie on his back, and I like that.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It's not the Tyler show. He's great in it. You
- 6:48Speaker 1: worried in our first impression that this was going to
- 6:50Speaker 1: be more of a vehicle for the grandmother granddaughter story
- 6:54Speaker 1: and I don't think it is that at all. I
- 6:56Speaker 1: think he's an equal player in these storylines. Sometimes it's
- 6:59Speaker 1: hard when you have someone like Tyler and he's the focus.
- 7:02Speaker 1: And the movie's good because Tyler's in it, and it
- 7:05Speaker 1: is good because he's in it, But it's not good solely.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Because he's in it.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I agree, I agree, I have a lot to say
- 7:11Speaker 1: about him. I thought this was a noticeably different Tyler
- 7:15Speaker 1: performance in the very best way. He was less broody
- 7:20Speaker 1: and less snarky. And I say that because my last
- 7:25Speaker 1: Tyler impression is like from The Three Wisest Men, like
- 7:29Speaker 1: he's you know, what was his character? Ty No, Taylaylor Taylor.
- 7:33Speaker 1: That's right, Why would they do that? Tyler Taylor so
- 7:37Speaker 1: confusing to me anyway, as Taylor and the Three Wise Men,
- 7:40Speaker 1: you know, he's like a little gritty, a little snarky,
- 7:42Speaker 1: a little sarcastic. He throws a lot of lines away, right,
- 7:46Speaker 1: and here is a little more warm, emotionally available kind.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I've really enjoyed the character of Mark. And I mean,
- 7:58Speaker 1: obviously Tyler had like that effortless charisma, but it was
- 8:03Speaker 1: really paired nicely with the character of Mark being this warm, kind, hairy,
- 8:12Speaker 1: really funny, but not in the sarcastic Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 8:15Speaker 1: really nice. At one point during the movie, Mark and
- 8:18Speaker 1: Amy are having like this big, nice discussion and I
- 8:21Speaker 1: was like, huh, he is like a this character played
- 8:25Speaker 1: by Tyler. I wondered, would we spill our guts to
- 8:31Speaker 1: him like he was so like, I know, but every
- 8:34Speaker 1: time you see him, like, don't you think that's who
- 8:36Speaker 1: he is? Yes, That's why I was like, if we've
- 8:38Speaker 1: ever had him on the show, I wonder, like what
- 8:40Speaker 1: that dynamic would be. Would he seem as interested in
- 8:44Speaker 1: what we were saying as we were in him? You know?
- 8:47Speaker 1: I think that's part of his magic is that he
- 8:50Speaker 1: makes people feel like that, yeah, scene right. We have
- 8:54Speaker 1: seen him speak at events and I just think he
- 8:56Speaker 1: has that effect on people. Yeah. I think that's a
- 8:59Speaker 1: special thing to be able to do because it doesn't
- 9:01Speaker 1: come across as put on. It doesn't come across it
- 9:04Speaker 1: comes across as very genuine and people react to that.
- 9:08Speaker 1: You know, when when you make people feel good in
- 9:11Speaker 1: your presence, that's the kind of thing that people remember
- 9:14Speaker 1: you for for sure. And I think it's a special
- 9:16Speaker 1: person that can be able to do that for sure. Also,
- 9:18Speaker 1: let's talk about his wardrobe for a second. They got
- 9:21Speaker 1: the classic Tyler sweater at the end, that Aztec print sweater. Yes, died.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I loved it. He looks so good in it. He
- 9:28Speaker 1: looks so good, and that, like rolled Caller, is very
- 9:32Speaker 1: much a Tyler look and that's kind of the that's
- 9:35Speaker 1: kind of the only one we got in the movie.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I was like, think, Okay, there he is, there he is.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Yeah. I thought I looked so good in it. And
- 9:41Speaker 1: then he was wearing like this fitted white button up
- 9:44Speaker 1: tea you know when they crash that engagement party and
- 9:47Speaker 1: he steals that jacket. Damn, it looks good, looks real good.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I see you costume department, good jobs. And I even wondered,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I was like, is this is this what Tyler Hines
- 9:59Speaker 1: would wear? It? F well, I mean, I don't know
- 10:01Speaker 1: what the man wears and is like actual downtime, but
- 10:04Speaker 1: like I love that kind of like cuffed jean and boot,
- 10:06Speaker 1: Like it just looks good. Also, if you're a longtime
- 10:12Speaker 1: listener of the show, you know that I have gone
- 10:15Speaker 1: through a period of time where I really hated Tyler
- 10:17Speaker 1: Hines's hair. Oh the long style, I hated it. I
- 10:20Speaker 1: hated it. The man's hair looks so good great, the
- 10:24Speaker 1: way that it's cut, it looks so good, so so good.
- 10:28Speaker 1: There are some other things I really liked about this movie.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I thought the dialogue and the banter felt very smart
- 10:34Speaker 1: and natural. The conversations especially in the car scenes I
- 10:39Speaker 1: thought were really fun to listen to when Mark and
- 10:44Speaker 1: Amy talk about her job and they're like riffing on
- 10:48Speaker 1: like UFOs, and I just thought that all that stuff
- 10:51Speaker 1: was so funny and like that would be like two
- 10:54Speaker 1: people getting to know each other, like that's naturally how
- 10:57Speaker 1: they would talk to each other. Really enjoyed that. I
- 11:00Speaker 1: have two more likes that I want to talk about,
- 11:02Speaker 1: but I don't want to.
- 11:03Speaker 2: What do you have? Visually?
- 11:04Speaker 1: This movie I thought was stunning. Victoria and Vancouver, if
- 11:07Speaker 1: you've ever been there, it is stunningly beautiful. But it's
- 11:09Speaker 1: also I think a lot of care was taken to
- 11:12Speaker 1: make this entire movie beautiful. It's trying to serve as
- 11:16Speaker 1: Oregon in northern California, and you've been to coastal organ
- 11:20Speaker 1: and I thought they nailed that vibe when they're driving.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Through the trees.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I also thought the senior living facility where Vivi and
- 11:25Speaker 1: Sue live is a dream of a place for us
- 11:28Speaker 1: together to live at some point. Yes, I was like,
- 11:33Speaker 1: this is you and I, This is so you and I. Oh,
- 11:35Speaker 1: And I was like, these people are just like living
- 11:37Speaker 1: their best lives out here. I loved it. I loved it.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Please let me live here. I thought even the details
- 11:43Speaker 1: on Mark's truck, right down to the fluttery curtains, were
- 11:45Speaker 1: a visual delight. You talked about the dialogue. I'd like
- 11:48Speaker 1: to call out some lines that just tickled me. Viv
- 11:51Speaker 1: saying that's a hair appointment, not a date, so saying,
- 11:54Speaker 1: spill the tea. BJ Harrison. Mark had a lot of
- 11:57Speaker 1: great lines. He says, I'm discount Jack Reacher. Yeah, you
- 12:00Speaker 1: can't lock in a vibe that far in advance. He
- 12:02Speaker 1: saying I came in too hot just made me laugh.
- 12:05Speaker 1: One of my favorite things is when an actor can
- 12:07Speaker 1: throw a line away, and Stacy as Amy does it
- 12:10Speaker 1: when she's telling the bachelorette story around the fire and
- 12:13Speaker 1: she kind of trails off and she's like, I didn't
- 12:15Speaker 1: go It's amazing. I laughed out loud. We didn't talk
- 12:19Speaker 1: a lot about Stacy yet, But back to their chemistry.
- 12:23Speaker 1: When Mark pulls Amy in for a dance at the
- 12:25Speaker 1: engagement party, yes, and he's she's like here and right
- 12:30Speaker 1: in her ear he says, where else. There's something about
- 12:32Speaker 1: the tone of his voice that gave me actual butterflies.
- 12:35Speaker 1: It's the Andrew Walker. It's the same Ashley Williams kiss
- 12:40Speaker 1: that moment. Yes, and what the hell is Jingobel Run? Yes?
- 12:44Speaker 1: And jingle Ball Run. It's that same sort of very intimate,
- 12:48Speaker 1: sort of whisper talk. It just makes you weak in
- 12:52Speaker 1: the knee. Yes, it was great, good stuff. I'm so
- 12:56Speaker 1: glad we got to hear Christine Ebersol singing the Woman
- 12:58Speaker 1: has four Love and I think it would have been
- 13:01Speaker 1: a crime to not have her sing in this. And
- 13:03Speaker 1: it was done so naturally. It wasn't like, oh my god,
- 13:06Speaker 1: it's so cute. It's so cute that it makes perfect
- 13:08Speaker 1: sense with the story and at the setting. And it
- 13:10Speaker 1: wasn't like, well, the oneman's got a Tony, let's have
- 13:12Speaker 1: her sing. It was like, let's find the perfect way. Yeah.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I loved it, And I have one last tiny little
- 13:17Speaker 1: like I thought the opening song Happy Feeling, and the
- 13:19Speaker 1: font and the opening credits super groovy.
- 13:21Speaker 2: I loved it. Oh, I'm sure this is one of yours.
- 13:23Speaker 1: The opening race scene is such a fun edit with
- 13:27Speaker 1: the crowd cheering on and the cuts in the edit.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Did I steal all of your final life?
- 13:30Speaker 1: You didn't?
- 13:31Speaker 2: Awesome?
- 13:31Speaker 1: No. I My two final likes. My biggest one is.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I thought this story had a thoughtful take on work
- 13:40Speaker 1: versus life and that balance of doing things. I have
- 13:44Speaker 1: a little bit more and my wishes about it, But
- 13:47Speaker 1: what I liked is that it questions if Amy is
- 13:51Speaker 1: leaving enough room for anything else in her life besides
- 13:54Speaker 1: her job. Right, and you and I have been going
- 13:57Speaker 1: through like a lot of stuff behind the scenes here.
- 14:00Speaker 1: We have our work and it's overflowing right now, and
- 14:04Speaker 1: we're grateful for that, but we also have a lot
- 14:06Speaker 1: of things in our personal life and then desires to
- 14:09Speaker 1: do fun things too, and so we've been trying to
- 14:12Speaker 1: balance it all. And it's a dance, right, And so
- 14:15Speaker 1: I thought this story about Amy and her pursuit to
- 14:21Speaker 1: you know, be the best at her job and reach
- 14:25Speaker 1: her goals and all that stuff was very relatable, sure,
- 14:28Speaker 1: but also offered an important question like what else is
- 14:32Speaker 1: she enjoying in her life?
- 14:33Speaker 2: Like she should have.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Other things to enjoy like your log cabin. Yeah exactly. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 1: I do have a tiny bit to talk about it
- 14:41Speaker 1: in my wishes, But other than that, I thought it
- 14:44Speaker 1: was a nice take on kind of a familiar homework theme.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Sure.
- 14:50Speaker 1: My last like I read an IMDb review and somebody
- 14:55Speaker 1: was like complaining about the story not making any sense.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Beca in twenty twenty six, there'd be DOCU signs and
- 15:01Speaker 1: you wouldn't have to like go and meet with this person.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I have something signed in person, which I think is
- 15:08Speaker 1: false because if she wasn't going to have it signed her,
- 15:11Speaker 1: so she was going to close the deal basically because
- 15:14Speaker 1: her your hand holding exactly.
- 15:18Speaker 2: So that's why I was.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Like, just let's not overthink these details as someone who
- 15:22Speaker 1: can get caught in the minutia of dumb details in
- 15:26Speaker 1: these movies. Yeah, but also they're they're wrong about the
- 15:29Speaker 1: reason she goes. She's not going because she needs to
- 15:31Speaker 1: be there, because she even says, oh, I'll walk.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Them through it over the phone.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Right, let's take a quick break and we'll come right
- 15:36Speaker 1: back with our wishes. Hey, let's talk what we wished
- 15:48Speaker 1: for while we were watching this movie. I don't have many,
- 15:53Speaker 1: but I'm going to continue about Amy's career if I may.
- 15:57Speaker 1: This movie wants to say don't let work consume you,
- 16:00Speaker 1: but it sometimes slips into maybe dismissing Amy's job. Yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 1: for sure, and that doesn't sit right for me because
- 16:10Speaker 1: Amy's job matters her goals. Matter. She's not wrong for
- 16:15Speaker 1: caring about her career, and at sometimes I feel like
- 16:20Speaker 1: Mark pushes back on that because he's kind of the
- 16:22Speaker 1: guy that you know.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I go where the wind takes me, where the leaves fall.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly all that, and that to me doesn't feel
- 16:31Speaker 1: like it feels like we're undermining her a little bit.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And I don't people need jobs. Yeah, people, And it's
- 16:37Speaker 1: fine to have goals, and it's fine to enjoy your
- 16:40Speaker 1: job and want to do well at your job. My
- 16:43Speaker 1: biggest critique is I feel like the movie tells us
- 16:49Speaker 1: they're advocating for balance in somebody's life, But is she
- 16:54Speaker 1: rewarded once she loosens the grip on her career like
- 16:58Speaker 1: with love? Good point and I why can't both exist?
- 17:03Speaker 1: It's a good point. And when Mark leaves because Sue
- 17:07Speaker 1: has fainted, he he makes her feel really badly about
- 17:12Speaker 1: not leaving with him, And that's the one scene I
- 17:16Speaker 1: didn't really like. I understood his need to leave. He
- 17:19Speaker 1: felt committed, and I understood why he felt like he
- 17:21Speaker 1: needed to be there first. Yes, yes, and that is fine.
- 17:25Speaker 1: She's an adult woman. You can you can go, But
- 17:28Speaker 1: I thought it could have done without the guilt because
- 17:33Speaker 1: Sue and Viv were together, she wasn't alone, she had
- 17:35Speaker 1: someone to and he was going to go. So I
- 17:37Speaker 1: think it was perfectly reasonable for her to say, I
- 17:39Speaker 1: came all this way, I'm I'm going to finish the
- 17:41Speaker 1: work that I have, and I'm not a doctor.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I can't actually help her. I'll be right there. Yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 2: I think that was reasonable. I think so too.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I only really have other than that one small wish,
- 17:51Speaker 1: and we talked about like, oh, dou'g get too caught
- 17:53Speaker 1: up in the details, But well, my one small quibble
- 17:55Speaker 1: is kind of the entire plotthanges on this. But when
- 17:58Speaker 1: the group splits up because Amy has to get to
- 18:00Speaker 1: her work appointment and Viv wants to take a detour
- 18:02Speaker 1: to find Teddy, it seemed like Viv had waited fifty
- 18:05Speaker 1: years to see Teddy. They probably could have made that
- 18:07Speaker 1: part happen on the return tip trip. Oh one hundred. Yeah,
- 18:12Speaker 1: it doesn't open up all of our other issues. You know,
- 18:14Speaker 1: we don't get to have Mark and Amy have their
- 18:17Speaker 1: solo road trip. And I very much enjoyed that, but
- 18:20Speaker 1: seemed like there was also an obvious solution here. Yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 1: I hadn't thought about that but you had nothing but
- 18:25Speaker 1: time on the return trip. I think you're right. I
- 18:28Speaker 1: think you are right.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Any other wishes just one.
- 18:31Speaker 1: I kind of wish this was a movie that had
- 18:33Speaker 1: a one year later in scene. Oh yeah, because show
- 18:37Speaker 1: us how Amy has had a big transformation from loosening
- 18:42Speaker 1: the grip on work and finding balance in life.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I just think that would have worked here. I agree.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Let's talk to you to see that before I jump
- 18:51Speaker 1: into all my actually, before I jump into my two
- 18:54Speaker 1: digitse thats which are not actually technically digit.
- 18:57Speaker 2: See that.
- 18:57Speaker 1: We barely talked about Stacey Farber. Yeah, and I think
- 19:01Speaker 1: this is the best I've ever seen her. I think
- 19:03Speaker 1: I enjoyed her a lot. I would like to see
- 19:05Speaker 1: her in more movies. She could, definitely, she hasn't, she doesn't.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Has she carried a Christmas movie? Like, Yeah, she had
- 19:12Speaker 1: that Hanka movie.
- 19:13Speaker 2: That was so good.
- 19:16Speaker 1: You're right, I want to call it the Mark Summers movie.
- 19:18Speaker 1: But the Mark Summers movie. You're funny. Okay, So my
- 19:22Speaker 1: first did you see that? Let's talk about the VW bus. Huh,
- 19:26Speaker 1: this is built for vibes.
- 19:28Speaker 2: This bus.
- 19:28Speaker 1: When I'm watching them on this long car ride in
- 19:32Speaker 1: a bus that probably has crappy suspension, and like those
- 19:36Speaker 1: seats are not built for like comfort, they're like in
- 19:39Speaker 1: a bench seat where it's just like b bl bl bl.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Dash's probably not all that great. Oh my god.
- 19:44Speaker 1: The radio is the original, like they're not streaming very
- 19:49Speaker 1: beautiful on the inside though. It was very nicely restored
- 19:51Speaker 1: on the inside. I know, but I agree.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I agreed.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Look, my dad drove a VW bus in the seventies
- 19:58Speaker 1: and he tells the story of I swear it was
- 20:00Speaker 1: driving home from their honeymoon at a lake. They got
- 20:04Speaker 1: married in nineteen to twenty. They had no money and
- 20:07Speaker 1: my mom is asleep and he's driving and you know,
- 20:09Speaker 1: the windshield like right in front of you, and he
- 20:11Speaker 1: said there were like bugs on the windshield and he
- 20:14Speaker 1: was from like the inside flicking the windshield.
- 20:16Speaker 2: To and at one point the windheld just goes.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Oh it cracked ampletely from a flicking it. So, oh
- 20:24Speaker 1: my gosh.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Anyway, just that's always what I think when I see one.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Now that they make the new electric vans, He's like,
- 20:31Speaker 1: please go get one you.
- 20:34Speaker 2: I'm like, it's a mini van.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Dad.
- 20:36Speaker 2: He's like, I know, but they're so cool. I'm like,
- 20:38Speaker 2: I really don't want one, even in a stage of
- 20:40Speaker 2: life to drive. Don't need a minivan.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Minivan, they're cool looking, Okay, okay, Well, speaking of the van,
- 20:45Speaker 1: there at least two moments where the van is shown
- 20:47Speaker 1: from an overhead shot driving through a field and it
- 20:50Speaker 1: looks like a toy. And I'm convinced that those scenes
- 20:52Speaker 1: are CGI I rebound.
- 20:54Speaker 2: I watched them twice.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Somebody please confirm those were not drone shots. Those were
- 21:00Speaker 1: not even the same color. Oh really, like the color
- 21:02Speaker 1: is like it's it's more teal than blue. Nice catch.
- 21:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to rewatch. I want to see it
- 21:08Speaker 1: looks like you're watching Thomas the Train.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Oh.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Tyler posted a behind the scenes video, also speaking of
- 21:14Speaker 1: the van, where Stacy's driving, but apparently Stacey Farber cannot
- 21:18Speaker 1: drive a stick shift, and so in this video Stacy's
- 21:21Speaker 1: steering and Tyler is doing gas break and clutch like
- 21:24Speaker 1: he's seated like diagonally, and it's they're not driving, She's shy, right,
- 21:29Speaker 1: she's just turning the van around. But they needed to
- 21:32Speaker 1: get the shot. And my guess is they don't address
- 21:35Speaker 1: this in his little bts on Instagram, But my guess
- 21:38Speaker 1: is in the other shots where she's I'm doing air
- 21:41Speaker 1: quotes driving down the road they're on like a trailer. Yeah.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Probably maybe it's just green screen out the window for
- 21:47Speaker 1: all I know, But I didn't seem like it. No.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I think in our first impression, I was worried about,
- 21:53Speaker 1: like the amount of road to of green screen. Yeah,
- 21:54Speaker 1: I didn't if it was green screen, they did it well,
- 21:59Speaker 1: it was distracting. I thought all items, like they were
- 22:02Speaker 1: driving were great. Yeah. My only other did you see that?
- 22:06Speaker 1: Is just a funny nod. I like that Stacy had
- 22:11Speaker 1: to always like Stacy Amy, had to explain what her
- 22:13Speaker 1: job was like over and over again and nobody can
- 22:16Speaker 1: quite understand it. I just thought that was really fit.
- 22:18Speaker 1: It's like it's giving Chandler bing, yes exactly. When we
- 22:22Speaker 1: get the reveal of Teddy played by Fred Henderson, it
- 22:25Speaker 1: felt like we were supposed to know him. He opens
- 22:27Speaker 1: the door and it's like a reveal. Well, Fred and
- 22:29Speaker 1: Christine did appear together in the two thousand and three
- 22:31Speaker 1: movie An Unexpected Love a Lifetime movie, which has terrible
- 22:36Speaker 1: IMDb reviews. Oh they're not the lead in that movie.
- 22:39Speaker 1: My guess is that it was a two thousand and
- 22:40Speaker 1: three movie about a lesbian couple.
- 22:42Speaker 2: And people freaked out. Oh.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Interesting, Speaking of Teddy, there's a character who plays young
- 22:49Speaker 1: Teddy in this movie when they.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Find he was wrong the wrong Teddy.
- 22:52Speaker 1: On IMDb, the actor's name is Adam Fox, and on
- 22:55Speaker 1: IMDb he is credited as the wrong Teddy. As hilarious
- 22:58Speaker 1: slayed Me Finally, my last This is really one of
- 23:01Speaker 1: the only two did you see that's in this list?
- 23:04Speaker 1: Amy's talking to her grandma in the beginning of the movie.
- 23:06Speaker 1: They're facetiming and she's like, I'm at the park and
- 23:08Speaker 1: she pans to show the park and it's fully blurred
- 23:10Speaker 1: out because in the in the shot of Amy, like
- 23:13Speaker 1: we get in a lot of our Hallmark movies, it's
- 23:15Speaker 1: a real depth of field moment where Amy's Amy's in
- 23:18Speaker 1: focus in the background, it's fully blurred out, and when
- 23:21Speaker 1: she shows the park, the park is still fully blurred out. Oh,
- 23:26Speaker 1: I totally remember that scene. I don't remember that detail though. Hey,
- 23:29Speaker 1: what did you rate this movie? Easily the best movie
