  Speaker 1: We're taking a chapter from each, from the book of John.

  Speaker 1: We have chapter number eight. So today is John chapter eight,

  Speaker 1: verses 30 to 32. I'm calling this one, Truly His Disciples.

  Speaker 1: Truly His Disciples. It's one thing to believe in Jesus,

  Speaker 1: but it's another thing to follow Jesus. And we're going

  Speaker 1: to see what that's all about. to be his true disciple. Amen.

  Speaker 1: you're with me live, getting ready for work, getting your

  Speaker 1: kids ready for school, whatever the situation. Maybe you're at

  Speaker 1: the gym. Maybe you're jogging. Maybe you're working out. Maybe

  Speaker 1: you're just still in bed but listening or watching. Welcome.

  Speaker 1: Good morning. We're going to pray first. After we pray,
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: you can share this out with as many people as possible.
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: And then we'll get right into today's scriptures, which is
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: John chapter 8, verses 30 to 32. John chapter 8,
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: verses 30 to 32. Amen. So Father, I thank you
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: so much for today. Today, from the time of this recording,

  Speaker 1: is our second miracle daughter's birthday, Leah. She turned six
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: from the time of this recording. Thank you for your grace,
• 1:53
  Speaker 1: your mercy, your love. Thank you for loving us so
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: much that you gave us another day with our miracle child.

  Speaker 1: Thank you, Lord God, for doing that to so many parents,

  Speaker 1: for so many parents that have miracle children as well.

  Speaker 1: You know our testimony, Lord, and that's why we're saying

  Speaker 1: it's a miracle. Others might be thinking, what's such a
• 2:12
  Speaker 1: miracle about something that naturally happens? But if you don't
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: know the testimony, amen, I'm sure there's others who can
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: relate to what I'm saying in this prayer right now.

  Speaker 1: So bless the lives of those individuals who continue to
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: follow you, Lord Jesus, and those who are not close
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: to you, those who are not following you yet, oh God,
• 2:30
  Speaker 1: I pray by your word that they will be invited,
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: they will be prompted by your Holy Spirit to want
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: to know you, who you really are truly from your word.
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: So I pray a hedge of protection over myself, my wife,
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: our children, my family, my whole entire bloodline and every
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: single person that's listening or watching, their family and their
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: bloodline as well by the powerful name of Jesus. I
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: set forth arching angels, ministering angels, and warring angels to
• 3:01
  Speaker 1: annihilate the tactics of the enemy by the authority of
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach. I pray this by faith,
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: knowing that you're able and that you're willing as long
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: as you hear these prayers in Jesus' name. Amen to

  Speaker 1: the amen. So let's go for it. Let's get right

  Speaker 1: into today's morning devo. Oh man, I say this a lot.

  Speaker 1: I say people believe, but they don't follow. I say
• 3:25
  Speaker 1: that because in the scriptures, we know that The enemy,
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: the devil, he believes, but he obviously doesn't follow Jesus.
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: The fallen angels that Lucifer at the time, his name
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: was Lucifer, convinced a third of those angels to follow him.
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: They believe in the Lord Jesus, but they don't follow either.
• 3:47
  Speaker 1: That's why it's more than just believing. If you're going
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: to believe in Jesus, you need to follow Jesus. Amen.

  Speaker 1: That's where The rubber hits the road, amen, for true disciples.

  Speaker 1: So Jesus says in John 8, verses 30 to 32,
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: he says, as Jesus spoke these things, many believed in him.
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: So it's not like Jesus was out there just wasting
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: his time. He spoke, many people believed in him. So
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: he said to the Jews who had believed in, if
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples.
• 4:30
  Speaker 1: Verse 32, then you will know the truth and the
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: truth will what? And the truth will set you free.
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: Notice that he was talking to his own, the Jews
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: at the time. So this whole thing about all the
• 4:47
  Speaker 1: Jews in the world don't believe in Yeshua HaMashiach is
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: not true. Even during the days of the Lord Jesus,
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: some believed Some Jews believed in him even when Jesus
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: was on his earthly ministry. So knowing that, Jesus told them,
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: if you continue in my word, what was the word
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: at the time that the Jews had? They had the Torah.
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: Jesus is making a God claim here. That Torah that
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: you're reading, those scriptures are talking about me. So if
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: you continue in the word that's speaking about me, You
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: are truly my disciples. Then, only then will you know
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: the truth and the truth will set you free. Now,
• 5:31
  Speaker 1: we as Gentiles, right? It's obvious that I'm not a Jew. Amen.
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: But I could take this too because if I just
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: knew about Jesus like I did before he saved me,
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: I just knew about him, there was no way of
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: me being a true disciple. There was no way of
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: you being a true disciple either. You were just knowing,
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: you had information about a man named Jesus, but you
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: didn't have a revelation of who he is through his word.
• 6:01
  Speaker 1: So information is not enough. Believing in Jesus is not enough.
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: That's right. We need to follow who we believe. Follow
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: the Lord Jesus Christ. Because by way of his spirit,
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: when we're saved, we have Holy Spirit God living inside
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: of us. The Bible says, that the Holy Spirit leads
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: us into all truth. And when you're in the truth
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: of God's word, when you're in the truth and the
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: righteous path of God, what happens with the truth? The
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: truth will set you and me free. Free from what?
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: Free from bondage. Free from the lies of the enemy.
• 6:38
  Speaker 1: Free from the bondages of sin. Free, delivered, sanctified, renewed, redeemed, restored, saved.
• 6:45
  Speaker 1: And we don't have the wrath of God upon us anymore.
• 6:49
  Speaker 1: You realize that people who walk around calling themselves Christians
• 6:53
  Speaker 1: still have the wrath of God upon them. How do
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: I know? Because the Bible says, you speak with your lips,
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: but your heart is far from me. So the wrath
• 7:01
  Speaker 1: of God is still upon you. I'm putting scriptures together.
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: It's a mashup, right? So it's one thing to believe
• 7:10
  Speaker 1: in Jesus, but it's a whole entire other thing to
• 7:15
  Speaker 1: follow Jesus. In the book of John, John tells us
• 7:18
  Speaker 1: that many people believed in him, right? Many believed. I
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: wish all believed, but then there would be no gospel
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: because if everybody believed in the front part of it, amen,
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: then we will all be saved. But it's obvious that
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: not every one of us are saved. It's obvious that
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: during the Lord's time here on his earthly ministry, many
• 7:39
  Speaker 1: people did not believe in him. So John tells us
• 7:43
  Speaker 1: that many people believed in him, But Jesus immediately challenged
• 7:47
  Speaker 1: them with something deeper than just believing in him. Because remember,
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: he was doing signs, miracles, and wonders. People by the crowds,
• 7:56
  Speaker 1: by the thousands, were following him for their healing, for
• 7:59
  Speaker 1: their deliverance, for their blessing, for Jesus to forgive them
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: for their sins. Because he had authority to do all
• 8:06
  Speaker 1: of that. He still has authority to do all of that.
• 8:09
  Speaker 1: But Jesus challenged them to go deeper. When he said,
• 8:14
  Speaker 1: if you continue, see, this is a continuing thing. This
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: is not a one and done. This is not, oh,
• 8:19
  Speaker 1: I went to church. I prayed a prayer to be saved.
• 8:22
  Speaker 1: Now I'm good. Let me just go back to partying, smoking, drinking,
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: having random sex and all that stuff. It doesn't work
• 8:28
  Speaker 1: that way. I know a lot of people are living
• 8:31
  Speaker 1: that way, but that's not a true disciple of the
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: Lord Jesus Christ. If you continue in my word, the
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: Lord says, you are truly my disciples. And Jesus wasn't
• 8:40
  Speaker 1: looking for temporary followers. Amen. You know that Jesus is
• 8:44
  Speaker 1: not looking for leaders, right? He's looking for followers. Followers
• 8:48
  Speaker 1: of Jesus, and then he will promote people to leadership
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: over his church. So people think, well, God's looking for
• 8:56
  Speaker 1: me because I'm a leader. No, he's looking for followers.
• 9:00
  Speaker 1: Jesus is looking for followers, not temporary followers. He was
• 9:04
  Speaker 1: looking for people who would remain, and he's still looking
• 9:09
  Speaker 1: for people who will remain in him. Why? Why? Because
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: there's a lot of people, like I said, who are
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: not true disciples, who believe in Jesus, right? That's great,
• 9:20
  Speaker 1: but so do the demons. A true disciple continues in
• 9:26
  Speaker 1: God's word, even when life is difficult. You have the
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: promise of God, you have the word of God, and
• 9:33
  Speaker 1: life starts lifing. Life starts hitting hard, right? Relationships, financial issues,
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: struggles with sin, pornography, addictions, All kind of stuff, and
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: especially the world system that promotes all of that as
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: something that's good, something that will make you popular, something
• 9:52
  Speaker 1: that will get you to the next level, right? Because
• 9:55
  Speaker 1: the world promises all kind of stuff, but we know
• 9:58
  Speaker 1: that's not being a true to say. of the Lord
• 10:00
  Speaker 1: Jesus because Jesus says opposite. He says the other thing,
• 10:05
  Speaker 1: the other way. A true disciple continues when prayers haven't
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: been answered yet. Or the answer to our prayers sometimes
• 10:16
  Speaker 1: is no or not yet. Sometimes If I hear that,
• 10:20
  Speaker 1: I'm like, is that really the Lord? I thought he
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: really wanted this for my life. You know what I mean?
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: So we have to know the voice of the Lord.
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: So that way, if we know the voice of the Lord,
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: our strangest voice, when we hear it in our mind,
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: when we hear it, we will not follow. Amen? Because
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: the voice of the Lord is exclusive. Right? You can
• 10:42
  Speaker 1: tell when the Lord is speaking. If you have his spirit, amen,
• 10:46
  Speaker 1: you will hear from the Lord. He who has an ear, right?
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: A true disciple continues when temptation comes because we know
• 10:55
  Speaker 1: there's a way out of that temptation. God will open
• 10:59
  Speaker 1: a door wide open for a way of escape, 1
• 11:01
  Speaker 1: Corinthians 10, verse 13. So belief without commitment, it's not it, man.
• 11:09
  Speaker 1: A lot of religion going on, right? It's always been
• 11:13
  Speaker 1: like that. Even in the Lord's time, he had to
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: address the religious people of his time because they were
• 11:17
  Speaker 1: doing all this stuff, right? And they were acting real funny. And,
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: you know, the generation calls it capping. They were capping.
• 11:26
  Speaker 1: They were saying, oh, I do this and I do that.
• 11:29
  Speaker 1: And Jesus was like, no, you don't do that. You're
• 11:30
  Speaker 1: not even a son of my father. You are a
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: son of the devil. Yeah, Jesus would say that to
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: the religious people of his time. So when we expose
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: religion and people who are false disciples on social media,
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: people get mad at the ones who are exposing them because...
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: not a popular thing. And even back in Jesus' day,
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: when he was doing the earthly ministry, his stance against
• 11:57
  Speaker 1: religion was not popular because the people loved the religion
• 12:01
  Speaker 1: more than they loved Yahweh, more than they loved the
• 12:04
  Speaker 1: word of God, the Torah, right? And Jesus showed up
• 12:07
  Speaker 1: as the completion of the Torah, the completion of the
• 12:09
  Speaker 1: law of Moses, and people didn't like that. Why? Because
• 12:13
  Speaker 1: it was different. It changed things. They knew that there
• 12:15
  Speaker 1: had to be a deeper and different level of following
• 12:19
  Speaker 1: God at that point when Jesus claimed to be God
• 12:23
  Speaker 1: in the flesh. So belief must become commitment. You could
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: believe that Jesus is Lord and still struggle without surrendering.
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: You could struggle with surrender. A surrendered life is a
• 12:41
  Speaker 1: beautiful life. Trust me, I know. Do I get challenged? Absolutely.
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: Why wouldn't you think I get challenged in life? I'm
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: the one who's raising my hand and saying, hey, I'm
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: a believer. Going all over social media and say, hey,
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: I love Jesus. I believe in Jesus. Amen. And there's
• 12:59
  Speaker 1: not a lot of likes on that. Not a lot
• 13:01
  Speaker 1: of views on that. But if I say the opposite, man,
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: this ministry, right, will blow up, but it won't be
• 13:08
  Speaker 1: for the glory of God. It'd be for the glory
• 13:11
  Speaker 1: of me, for the glory of you. But I'm not
• 13:14
  Speaker 1: in it for the glory of me. Because my glory, amen,
• 13:17
  Speaker 1: is real limited. But the glory of God is unlimited. So,
• 13:21
  Speaker 1: of course, I'm going to spend my life following in
• 13:24
  Speaker 1: the one that gives me hope, love, salvation, life in abundance, right?
• 13:31
  Speaker 1: He gives me the truth and the truth that he
• 13:32
  Speaker 1: gives sets me free. Why would I go with the
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: world system when I have a kingdom system, amen, that
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: never fails, that's always working, that's always true, that shines
• 13:44
  Speaker 1: the light and exposes darkness? Why would I go the
• 13:47
  Speaker 1: other way? Amen. Now my flesh is like, oh, because
• 13:51
  Speaker 1: your flesh will give you hundreds of reasons to turn
• 13:53
  Speaker 1: away from Jesus. But the spirit in us will give
• 13:56
  Speaker 1: us one reason. And that one reason alone is enough
• 14:00
  Speaker 1: for us to stay put. And that one reason is
• 14:02
  Speaker 1: that God loves you. And that God loves me. And
• 14:05
  Speaker 1: that he has a life planned out for us in abundance.
• 14:09
  Speaker 1: Regardless of your struggle. Regardless of the temptation. Regardless of
• 14:13
  Speaker 1: the pain, right? There's pain. There's death. There's sin all
• 14:17
  Speaker 1: through this whole entire world system. Because it's obvious that
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: God himself is not running the world system. That should
• 14:24
  Speaker 1: be obvious. I've been saying this for years because I
• 14:27
  Speaker 1: know people kind of like mix up the scripture where
• 14:31
  Speaker 1: God we know is in control. He's sovereign over all
• 14:34
  Speaker 1: the affairs of life. But the system, he lent the
• 14:40
  Speaker 1: world system to the devil and his demons. Why? So
• 14:44
  Speaker 1: he could grab the people out of there to be his.
• 14:48
  Speaker 1: It's like a filtering process. You won't know what's pure
• 14:51
  Speaker 1: until it's filtered. Like we have a filtering system where
• 14:57
  Speaker 1: you pour the water from the faucet into this container
• 15:00
  Speaker 1: and then it goes to the filter and it's supposed
• 15:02
  Speaker 1: to purify the water and take all the junk and
• 15:05
  Speaker 1: all the stuff out of the water so that way
• 15:07
  Speaker 1: it would be safe for us to drink. The system
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: of God is that way. He filters out our lives
• 15:14
  Speaker 1: and makes sure that all the impurities, all the stuff
• 15:17
  Speaker 1: that's going to hurt us and harm us, our health,
• 15:20
  Speaker 1: our mind, our soul is filtered out. And then we
• 15:23
  Speaker 1: have the pure things of the Lord. Amen. Like his word.
• 15:28
  Speaker 1: So Jesus is not looking for leadership in the church.
• 15:34
  Speaker 1: He's looking for followers and he'll take the followers that
• 15:36
  Speaker 1: are truly his disciples and make them leaders. Disciple means, Jesus,
• 15:45
  Speaker 1: I don't just want to know about you. It's what
• 15:48
  Speaker 1: disciples say. I want to follow you. Right? There's a difference.
• 15:54
  Speaker 1: There's a difference. When Jesus shows up in your life,
• 15:58
  Speaker 1: when he shows up in my life, we're going to
• 16:00
  Speaker 1: want to follow him because why he offers us so
• 16:02
  Speaker 1: much more. God bless you, brother. It's good to see
• 16:06
  Speaker 1: you in the morning of evil. So he gives us
• 16:09
  Speaker 1: so much more. So why would we, my flesh is
• 16:14
  Speaker 1: trying to fight here. My flesh is saying, well, tell
• 16:16
  Speaker 1: them why. Okay, there's plenty of reasons to live in
• 16:20
  Speaker 1: a life of sin. But you're actually dying in a
• 16:23
  Speaker 1: life of sin. See, the battle is happening right now.
• 16:25
  Speaker 1: My flesh is trying to war with the spirit. Very
• 16:27
  Speaker 1: biblical because the Bible says the flesh is at enmity.
• 16:31
  Speaker 1: It's always at war with the spirit of God. But
• 16:34
  Speaker 1: I choose the spirit. Amen. Amen. I want to profit
• 16:37
  Speaker 1: from the things of the spirit. I don't want to
• 16:38
  Speaker 1: profit from things of the flesh because the things of
• 16:40
  Speaker 1: the flesh are very temporary. And man, when that sin
• 16:44
  Speaker 1: season is over, the consequences are next level. So when
• 16:50
  Speaker 1: you continue in the word of God, you start and
• 16:53
  Speaker 1: you continue. I know there's a lot of people that
• 16:57
  Speaker 1: start and they don't continue. Then they get mad at
• 17:01
  Speaker 1: God when things are not happening. Then hopefully they'll repent.
• 17:05
  Speaker 1: take a day, a week, years for them to repent.
• 17:08
  Speaker 1: Then they go back to the word of God and
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: they realize that the word of God is still true.
• 17:12
  Speaker 1: They realize the word of God and God's love is
• 17:15
  Speaker 1: still available to them, right? So if that's you, repent today, right?
• 17:20
  Speaker 1: Don't waste no time with sin no more. Repent, turn
• 17:23
  Speaker 1: from your wickedness and turn to the righteousness of God.
• 17:25
  Speaker 1: He loves you. He wants to embrace you. He wants
• 17:29
  Speaker 1: to invite you back into the kingdom of God. Amen.
• 17:33
  Speaker 1: We make choices to leave God. Not that God takes
• 17:36
  Speaker 1: the spirit out of us. We fight sometimes by the
• 17:39
  Speaker 1: flesh to war against the spirit and help the flesh
• 17:44
  Speaker 1: accomplish that. But I don't think the spirit of God
• 17:47
  Speaker 1: ever loses. It's just that we get deceived by the enemy.
• 17:51
  Speaker 1: We get deceived by our own sinful desires, the Bible says,
• 17:55
  Speaker 1: and we distance ourselves from a living, holy, righteous, loving God.
• 17:59
  Speaker 1: So when you're in his word, continue in his word, right?
• 18:05
  Speaker 1: When you continue God's word, his word begins to shape
• 18:08
  Speaker 1: your decisions the way you think. You move differently. You
• 18:13
  Speaker 1: respond differently. You react differently. Amen? You'll notice it. You'll
• 18:18
  Speaker 1: notice it right away. When you choose God over, when
• 18:24
  Speaker 1: you choose God's word over this world system, you're going
• 18:28
  Speaker 1: to start to move differently. And you're going to notice
• 18:30
  Speaker 1: that a lot of people are not going to like that.
• 18:33
  Speaker 1: People don't like when you go against the grain. People
• 18:35
  Speaker 1: don't like when you go against the system because it's
• 18:38
  Speaker 1: not pleasing to them. But who do you want to please?
• 18:41
  Speaker 1: People or you want to please God? Amen? I want
• 18:45
  Speaker 1: to please God. I want to please God. The flesh
• 18:48
  Speaker 1: doesn't though. I wrote a book about it. It's called
• 18:51
  Speaker 1: The Flesh is a Monster. You can check it out
• 18:53
  Speaker 1: on Amazon. So, continuing his word, his word starts to
• 19:00
  Speaker 1: shape your thoughts, starts to help you make great decisions,
• 19:05
  Speaker 1: better decisions, helps in your relationships and helps your priorities
• 19:09
  Speaker 1: and your lifestyle. People tend to talk about a lifestyle
• 19:14
  Speaker 1: contrary to the biblical lifestyle, right? And it's actually not
• 19:18
  Speaker 1: a lifestyle, it's a death style because you're advancing into destruction, right?
• 19:23
  Speaker 1: I could create some kind of lifestyle and it's going
• 19:27
  Speaker 1: to be very popular, trust me. I know how the
• 19:30
  Speaker 1: flesh works. I know what to say. I know what
