Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: Hi, welcome back to the North Florida Sports Network.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Today it's anger management day in the North Florida area as we somehow try to grasp the decision made by the College Football Committee.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We're not going to yell, we're not going to scream, we're not going to get angry at all.
- 0:29Speaker 1: We're just going to talk about it and let it out.
- 0:33Speaker 1: There might be tears, but it's okay to cry.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Real men do and that's what we're here to do.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Just to prove that I'm not talking out of my butthole, I brought in our Miami contributor, justin, to join us.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Hello, justin, thank you for joining us.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Oh, welcome to the screwed out of the national championship club Florida State.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Oh, not going to get mad at that.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you can be just as mad as us Keynes fans were in 2000 when the Bowdoin championship series put y'all against Oklahoma and left us out with a head to head victory over Period.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Yeah, that I do remember that it might upset some people and I could see how you might be upset by that.
- 1:30Speaker 2: I'm still upset about it.
- 1:33Speaker 1: And I am welcoming and I will be in that club.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I would.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I will tell you that, though, in that year, miami did, however, lose a game, and I know that they beat FSU head to head, and I think that makes sense that they should be in, but there was only two teams that went to the championship.
- 1:56Speaker 1: But I I I welcome, I'm thanks for letting me in the club, though it's it, I'm, I'm not happy to be here, seems like it's not a fun club.
- 2:07Speaker 2: No, it seems like we have.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I see a see war eagle over there in the corner Tuberville yeah.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that's the biggest one.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Like when I've been talking to people the past couple of days I've actually been defending Florida State because, like I said, you're, you're in the club, right, and I know how it feels to be completely screwed out of a national championship game.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah and yeah.
- 2:36Speaker 2: So I mean, like I, florida State's got a legit beef.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Like anybody that says that they don't have an argument is just an SEC Dick, right.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Yeah, and and they, they're not, they're get.
- 2:48Speaker 1: They got some sort of tie to it.
- 2:50Speaker 1: They don't know what sports is all about.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It's about wins and losses.
- 2:54Speaker 1: You went to conference championship and going defeated.
- 2:58Speaker 1: At no other point did they ever do this.
- 3:00Speaker 1: You know they did it this year because it messed up with their bottom line.
- 3:05Speaker 1: There's no other.
- 3:06Speaker 1: You think in 03, you know what didn't, you know what wasn't around in 03 when Auburn got snubbed.
- 3:15Speaker 2: The SEC ESPN television contract.
- 3:18Speaker 1: My friends, you, are correct, sir, and if that were in place, there's no way Auburn would have been left out that year.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Not at all.
- 3:26Speaker 2: No, no way, I mean, they shouldn't have been anyways.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Right, I agree.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, and, but there was only two teams right, and that would, if that happened this year, say, for instance, that happened this year, it would have been the same thing.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I would feel better about it If FSU fans would feel better about it, because there's only two teams that are in and you went with two undefeated teams at least.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I mean, at least you went with teams that had similar resumes.
- 3:53Speaker 1: The fact this is unprecedented, because you were jumped by team.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Two teams with one loss and I think everybody and it's crazy how they just keep comparing it to I need to calm down a little bit.
- 4:07Speaker 2: They settle in.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Settle in.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Now we're going to keep comparing that issue with Alabama and not Texas or not Washington, and they just assume hey, texas, they're in.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Guys, let's compare you with Alabama, because they have like, because we know they're the best team, probably this year.
- 4:26Speaker 1: And if it's the best four, let's take Georgia then.
- 4:29Speaker 1: And why is Washington in?
- 4:31Speaker 1: Because Georgia would be favorite over Washington.
- 4:33Speaker 1: So what are we doing?
- 4:35Speaker 1: Georgia should be in then.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Let's just have Vegas pick.
- 4:39Speaker 2: That's what we should do.
- 4:40Speaker 1: That's what we should do, right?
- 4:41Speaker 1: Saban brought that up last year when he was politicking to get in with two losses.
- 4:46Speaker 1: They know it's absolute bull crap, but it's.
- 4:50Speaker 1: It is about money, it's about business to.
- 4:52Speaker 1: And they tell you this right in your face, like on their shows.
- 4:57Speaker 1: When you have someone like Stephen A Smith tell you that if Florida state hired coach prime and did the same thing.
- 5:08Speaker 1: But come on man.
- 5:14Speaker 2: No, that there is.
- 5:15Speaker 2: That is actually I can't believe.
- 5:17Speaker 2: After all this crap, I gotta give at least some people on ESPN some credit, Cause, like you said, like what Stephen A pointed out and I think he's correct I think if coach prime has this FSU team undefeated, there's no way they're out of the playoffs.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Right there shows you that that the sports over.
- 5:35Speaker 1: It's a, it's a glorified TV show that they can control what happens.
- 5:42Speaker 1: It's about ratings, follow the money, all the money, and it just a sad day, a really sad day.
- 5:50Speaker 2: You know where the money.
- 5:51Speaker 2: The money once led to a guy named Terry Porter throwing a flag against Miami in a festival.
- 5:57Speaker 2: That was kind of important.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And that Ohio state team never would have had a chance.
- 6:03Speaker 1: They barely beat so many.
- 6:04Speaker 1: They barely beat a three and nine team that year.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Like an overtime to get there.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's where the money was.
- 6:10Speaker 2: The money was with Ohio state and Ohio state had to win.
- 6:14Speaker 1: The money the money back in 2000, over a thousand in Florida state and it had to go there.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Yeah Well, that makes sense, but nothing, they didn't have a committee then.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And they had a committee then they were Miami would have got in that year.
- 6:29Speaker 1: This is just flat out Wrong.
- 6:33Speaker 1: This is a buy, this is an objective, this is an agenda.
- 6:36Speaker 1: You can't tell me otherwise.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I mean, when they they, they initially never had to do this before, but they would have all along because they wrote it into the bylaws by saying the best teams, by having hey, we can do whatever the hell we want to get whatever match up we want in, whatever bowl game is up this year.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Now here's something I haven't heard anybody bring up with, with this whole undefeated conference champion, deserving, not deserving, you know discussion.
- 7:07Speaker 2: How was Cincinnati a couple of years ago more deserving than Florida State this year?
- 7:14Speaker 1: Or TCU last year, and they, they, they keep using that argument.
- 7:17Speaker 1: You know that.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Hey, we don't want to have a repeat of last year and have a blowout, which the reason that TCU was even in that game is because they got word that Michigan was cheating.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Well, they.
- 7:29Speaker 1: So we let a cheating team in, if any, undefeated team was going to be left out.
- 7:33Speaker 2: it should have been Michigan, but when they say we don't want to repeat of that.
- 7:38Speaker 2: The TCU blowout was in the national championship game, so that was after TCU want to play off.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yeah, After they beat that year with that, I know, but after and then it's even more funny to just think after they beat the team that was cheating, because the only reason they beat Michigan is because they found out that they were cheating and they did dummy kick.
- 7:56Speaker 1: They were cheating and they did dummy calls and Michigan was thinking that they were going to get one thing and they got it completely blindsided, because if they actually didn't do any, if they weren't cheating at all, they would have beat TCU.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so they're cheating?
- 8:12Speaker 1: No, no, I'm convinced if they were cheating, if they weren't cheating they would have beat them straight up, but they were, and they, they were using that formula to TCU caught wind of it and was using it against them.
- 8:25Speaker 1: That's the only way they were able to.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Well, I'm not convinced that Michigan could beat a top 10 team.
- 8:31Speaker 1: That's not you know, haven't played anybody.
- 8:32Speaker 1: They haven't played anybody.
- 8:35Speaker 1: What's their out of conference schedule?
- 8:36Speaker 1: What do you?
- 8:36Speaker 1: What are you telling teams to do?
- 8:38Speaker 1: Don't play anybody and it.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Well, if you do, we're going to just say your conference sucks.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that's what I was just about to say.
- 8:46Speaker 2: That is like you can't not play anybody unless you're in the SEC.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You got to get out of November.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Games against division two schools.
- 8:52Speaker 1: You got to get out.
- 8:53Speaker 1: You got to get out of the ACC Miami does.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Florida state does.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Miami, fsu, clemson, north Carolina, need to go somewhere.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Right and I don't want to go to the SEC man, I do, I want to go through there and I just want to show them that they're not that great.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Well, I mean you have teams that are good like Alabama, lsu, georgia pretty much top to bottom.
- 9:19Speaker 1: No, no, LA ACC had 11, 11 bull teams, 11, the most of any conference.
- 9:25Speaker 1: So it's not.
- 9:26Speaker 1: We saw what happened in the off.
- 9:28Speaker 1: They had.
- 9:29Speaker 1: They have good talent at the top, but when you're, when you get everything pushed your way, sports still should have.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Wins and losses.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Decide everything, man.
- 9:37Speaker 1: It's ridiculous.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and why are you not penalized for struggling to be at a Texas A and M team that Tyler van Dyke boat raced?
- 9:45Speaker 2: That's true.
- 9:46Speaker 2: There's so many.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Why are?
- 9:47Speaker 2: you not penalized for a miracle to beat a six and sick Auburn team who the previous week lost by four touchdowns to New Mexico state?
- 9:57Speaker 1: Yes, that's right.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I mean like struggled against Arkansas, they struggled against all these garbage teams.
- 10:03Speaker 2: They win one big game, so one big game.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah, because the Vegas part is just sick.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Because if, if you want to do that, when someone lost or when you're comparing equals but you're not, you're comparing them to a team that lost, team that struggled, a team that had to bench their quarterback at some point this season, and then Washington doesn't get to get compared with them because they're, they didn't have an injury, I don't know, man, I don't know.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I think FSU has got a chance against Washington.
- 10:32Speaker 1: If it like, if they did it like it should be, it should be Michigan versus whoever that one loss team is.
- 10:39Speaker 1: That debate should have been against Texas and Alabama and then you're, that debate would have been that knew that people would have gone crazy about the head to head.
- 10:49Speaker 2: But that's the easiest debate answer Right, you lost at home by two touchdowns, so you're not in game over.
- 10:55Speaker 1: You're not in, but they couldn't have their SEC, not in the next year.
- 11:00Speaker 1: They've paid $3 billion for it.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Next year the 12 team playoffs going to be five conference champions and seven SEC at large.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Yeah it is, it's going to be well.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It's going to be nothing but big 10 and SEC teams that have lobbied to get there.
- 11:18Speaker 2: You're not going to get where the money is, you might.
- 11:20Speaker 1: You might get two out of the ACC, or big 12,.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Big 12 might grab two.
- 11:25Speaker 1: One depends.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean here you got to put in out of the big 12 Kansas state.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Come on, big 12 is going to get one conference champ, that's it.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:36Speaker 1: That's ridiculous.
- 11:36Speaker 2: It's going to be a nine and three Kansas state is going to get sacrificed up to somebody, just so they can say oh well, look, you know, we let them in.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Well, what's the next stage is when you have a real good team that doesn't win the conference.
- 11:49Speaker 1: In the ACC, say, Miami went, you know, 10 and two this year, or you know like lost or no you know what.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Even better, let's do.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Let's do the 2000 scenario.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Miami goes 11 and one, with their one loss to, like a number three, florida state.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Florida state goes 12 and, oh, miami gets left out of that playoff.
- 12:07Speaker 2: In a 12 team cycle, the what, what they?
- 12:10Speaker 2: What the committee just said was that an 11 and one runner up in the ACC isn't good enough to compete with anybody in the top 10.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Right, yeah, yeah.
- 12:20Speaker 1: So that's it.
- 12:21Speaker 1: You're only going to get one automatic shot and SEC is going to get like four or five.
- 12:27Speaker 1: So, and and.
- 12:28Speaker 1: So what are you going to?
- 12:29Speaker 1: And so what do you think coaches are going to tell recruits on the field?
- 12:32Speaker 1: You can come here we're automatically on the display.
- 12:36Speaker 1: You're automatically going to make the playoffs.
- 12:38Speaker 1: As long as we don't lose like four games, you're in.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I mean the ACC just needs to go ahead and pay out all their schools and say we're done with football.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Just file a collusion man.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I don't know, but it seems like they're.
- 12:54Speaker 1: They're making it where their, their product always gets the benefit here.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I don't know, but the NIL is different.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I mean, you have to pay the players now.
- 13:04Speaker 1: So now the actual TV dollars are going, it's going to trickle down to the players.
- 13:09Speaker 1: The more times you get into the bigger games, you get more money.
- 13:13Speaker 1: There's no nothing to prevent this from happening.
- 13:17Speaker 1: And then, god forbid, you win all your games.
- 13:20Speaker 1: You didn't look good enough or you had someone injured in a team sport, so yeah.
- 13:28Speaker 2: No, I don't get it with the injury thing, especially when you look back.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Another example is Ohio State rolling in with their third string quarterback and winning the Natty.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Right, and will they put up 59 points?
- 13:38Speaker 1: Well, defense plays well too, you know, and I think they just, they just deserve a shot man.
- 13:45Speaker 2: There's no way they're getting beat by.
- 13:46Speaker 1: TCU.
- 13:47Speaker 1: They're not now with that defense.
- 13:50Speaker 2: The defense yes.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 13:52Speaker 2: When you play, you know in the big 10, it's pretty easy to put up 59 in your championship.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Yeah right.
- 13:59Speaker 2: You're just playing Iowa every freaking year.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Florida State just won a big 10 game in the ACC.
- 14:04Speaker 1: That was like an every week big 10 clash 16 to six.
- 14:10Speaker 2: I mean the Michigan third string, yeah, third string quarterback.
- 14:12Speaker 2: There's no difference.
- 14:13Speaker 2: It's no difference between Michigan, Iowa and they would have been.
- 14:18Speaker 1: They would have had the second string back by the playoff and they would have time to prepare.
- 14:21Speaker 1: They were owed a shot.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Now the whole team has.
- 14:26Speaker 1: All the players that were impactful are going to opt out or have opt out already.
- 14:33Speaker 1: So I don't want to hear this.
- 14:34Speaker 1: When Florida State gets blown out by Georgia or loses, it doesn't matter.
- 14:39Speaker 1: This game is a glorified scrimmage.
- 14:41Speaker 1: This game is just extra practices for next year, for both teams.
- 14:45Speaker 2: It's an early spring game.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it really is, because you're going to get I mean, georgia is probably going to have their quarterback, so but you're anybody like, why would you play in this game?
- 14:58Speaker 2: Not, especially if you're Florida State.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Florida State guy.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I mean like dude.
- 15:03Speaker 2: It is so reminiscent to me of the 2000 year with the Hurricanes because the Hurricanes they were all talking about.
- 15:09Speaker 2: We're going to boycott it.
- 15:09Speaker 2: We're not going to play.
- 15:11Speaker 2: This is bullshit.
- 15:12Speaker 2: We're clearly the best team in the country at Oklahoma would have gotten destroyed by that Hurricanes team that year.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Yeah, like that wouldn't have even been freaking.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Yeah, but yeah, that's not right and that made that made that made having the computers do figure out two teams wrong.
- 15:29Speaker 1: But I think if you use computers to figure out four you would never have that problem.
- 15:37Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 15:37Speaker 2: I mean, the BCS grew up too much stuff.
- 15:40Speaker 2: That's true, that was all the BCS grew up too often, man, to trust them with four, like, oh you screwed up to you'll get four, right?
- 15:48Speaker 2: Well, they wouldn't disrespect wins and losses.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I mean they, they the committee has not did not do this.
- 15:55Speaker 1: They did a disservice and they did.
- 15:57Speaker 1: What makes it great is you have underdogs that can win.
- 16:01Speaker 1: You have great stories like Jim, you last year in any sport.
- 16:05Speaker 1: You have these great stories, man, that.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Miami's final four run.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Last year we were like a six seat.
- 16:11Speaker 1: No well, no, just yeah, about to the elite eight.
- 16:13Speaker 1: We're going to have a committee get together and figure out oh man, we can't have that, we got to have better matchups in the final four.
- 16:19Speaker 1: We're going to do a committee to figure out who deserves to be in the final four.
- 16:24Speaker 1: It's ridiculous.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Miami and FAU wouldn't have been there.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I've never seen a regular season get dumped on like this one has.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I've never seen a conference get dumped on like the ACC did this year.
- 16:34Speaker 1: If you're, the ACC is on its way to death in football there's no.
- 16:40Speaker 1: How can you want to stay in this?
- 16:41Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 16:43Speaker 2: How can any team recruit to the ACC right now?
- 16:46Speaker 2: Any team.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Well, you're just going to have to pay them.
- 16:51Speaker 2: You have to use that.
- 16:51Speaker 1: You're going to be.
- 16:52Speaker 1: No, I don't.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I think kids want to go to the NFL and they want to get developed.
- 16:56Speaker 1: So you can still roll back on.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Hey, we're still going to make you good, we're still, you're still going to get drafted.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I mean, look at the can't, look at the improvement.
- 17:05Speaker 1: You have to look, look at it.
- 17:07Speaker 1: You can't let the committee take down what you built.
- 17:09Speaker 1: What all the work that they did you have to.
- 17:13Speaker 1: The players don't deserve that.
- 17:14Speaker 1: They deserve to be celebrated.
- 17:16Speaker 1: You know, I mean, they're ACC champs.
- 17:19Speaker 1: They never get a, they never got a shot to play core national title and that's, that's an injustice.
- 17:27Speaker 1: But you, you did everything that you could do.
- 17:30Speaker 2: So and that's where I see a major issue, not just for Florida State but for every team in the ACC.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Right, because an elite level athlete from high school is going to get paid no matter what where he goes, and every school is going to have the pitch that we can get you to the NFL, cause every school puts guys in the NFL, right.
- 17:47Speaker 2: But what an ACC team no longer has is you can play for a national championship.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Well, you can if you win the ACC, it's just not next year, because that just happened.
- 18:01Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Next year.
- 18:03Speaker 1: You're automatically in next year, but it was funny that they were.
- 18:07Speaker 1: That's what they're going to wait till next year.
- 18:08Speaker 1: This won't happen.
- 18:10Speaker 1: They had one more year to like.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Set the stage for the stick, the SEC in there for the last year.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Oh man, they didn't make it all year.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Some there was going to be history.
- 18:19Speaker 1: They didn't deserve it over an undefeated team, and it's you go undefeated.
- 18:24Speaker 1: I don't care, I don't care.
- 18:25Speaker 1: You deserve the right to play.
- 18:28Speaker 1: You deserve the opportunity to have someone beat you.
- 18:31Speaker 1: You had.
- 18:31Speaker 1: You then beat them again.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Someone go beat them, Someone go blow them out and then so cause so all the guys don't opt out and they don't.
- 18:40Speaker 1: That was the last time you're ever going to see that roster together was in a win, you know.
- 18:45Speaker 1: And they didn't get crown champ.
- 18:46Speaker 1: They got.
- 18:47Speaker 1: They won every game they played together.
- 18:49Speaker 1: They didn't get crown champ, except for the ACC.
- 18:52Speaker 1: They didn't get a chance.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Now they, they had to end it, end it.
- 18:55Speaker 1: They all done.
- 18:56Speaker 1: They're all out.
- 18:57Speaker 1: All the receivers are gone, the tight ends gone, Anybody, that's, it's all it's.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I could almost accept I could in this fictional scenario I'm about to lay out for you.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I could almost accept a one loss SEC going in over an undefeated Florida state.
- 19:16Speaker 2: If we're talking about like 2012, when, when the SEC was really actually sick, nasty, loaded.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think I could ever do that.
- 19:27Speaker 1: They wouldn't have done that then.
- 19:30Speaker 2: If a one loss Georgia in 2010, say they lost to Florida, upbeat Alabama, lsu, tennessee, auburn all which were nine, 10 win programs at the time.
- 19:43Speaker 2: There's at least an argument there.
- 19:46Speaker 2: But the SEC was down.
- 19:48Speaker 2: This year Nobody can argue that it wasn't.
- 19:50Speaker 2: They went four and six against the ACC.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Fsu beat two SEC teams, miami, for God's sakes, beat an SEC team.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I mean the SEC is not what it was 10 years ago and they're still just like.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I mean they're worse than God damn Keynes fans at this point Counting our fucking rings from the eighties.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I mean it's ridiculous, dude.
- 20:12Speaker 2: The SEC is not that good this year.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Man, they're just riding on coattails and Nick's saving.
- 20:16Speaker 2: And I watched Alabama play a lot of games this year.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Alabama was not impressive.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Their offense was scramble around by mill road, make a lucky play.
- 20:25Speaker 1: They played well against Georgia and Georgia wasn't the two time.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I mean they tried to say it doesn't, other years don't matter, the beginning of the season doesn't matter.
- 20:35Speaker 1: But when they, when they announced, like what Georgia did in their in their show that where they announced it, they said they beat the two time defending champions.
- 20:43Speaker 1: And when Texas was announced, they said that the win over Alabama, which happened in week two, doesn't matter, doesn't matter, the same Alabama team, that bench that benched their quarterback and played us F and only scored 17 points against a bad us F team and the Texas team beat them in Tuscaloosa in.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Tuscaloosa, and then they went and played their rival and loss after that, but they lost, though, and both those teams should have been compared.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Both those teams should have been, oh yeah.
- 21:15Speaker 2: No, it should have been.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It should have been.
- 21:17Speaker 2: It should have been Michigan, washington, florida state to Texas, that should have been your four but we can't leave the SEC out.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Like we said, if that was all burn, that was the best one I heard.
- 21:28Speaker 1: If Auburn, if that ESPN Auburn deal was already in place, there ain't no damn way in hell Auburn's getting left out in the three, four, whatever that was.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that year they had to put USC in because you know Hollywood we've been USC Auburn left Oklahoma out.
- 21:44Speaker 2: And then Auburn, cadillac Williams, ronnie Brown and Jason Campbell.
- 21:50Speaker 1: But they did, yeah, yeah, they don't have.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Oh God, man, this one's not.
- 21:57Speaker 1: You're never going to get sad because they're, this team's never going to.
- 22:00Speaker 1: They'll have their reunion 25 years from now.
- 22:02Speaker 1: They're all of these talking about the same thing.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Damn they never gave us a shot.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I mean, it doesn't matter, it can be a hundred percent, like nobody's a hundred percent, and yes or to stay would have been favored against any of those matchups.
- 22:15Speaker 1: But what is what the hell?
- 22:16Speaker 1: You play the whole season for?
- 22:17Speaker 1: You knew it was a bound to happen when they put that in the bylaws 10 years ago.
- 22:22Speaker 1: We can do whatever we want in case we don't like the matchups.
- 22:27Speaker 2: In case the SEC doesn't like it.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 1: In case they it looks like they deserve to be out we could be like well, that needs to be like.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Their last point in their list of criteria is, and in case the SEC has, a free lost team, we can put them in.
- 22:40Speaker 1: All right, Justin.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Well, thanks for coming on and I'll try to get through this and we'll get some basketball talking next time and we'll do that right here on the North Florida Sports Network.
