SPEAKER_01: Maybe you've looked at your world and you know felt that quiet fear that a lot of us have had, that fear you just can't really explain.

SPEAKER_01: And I don't know about you, but if you watch the news, some of us, if we look at our finances, if we look at our health, our kids, our children, our future, and we simply sometimes can just look at humanity itself and start questioning, you know, what's happening.

SPEAKER_01: And different times I've really felt this feeling of I don't feel safe anymore.

SPEAKER_01: Like, really, I don't feel safe.

SPEAKER_01: And the truth is, many of us carry that same unlevel of certainty.

SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's part of it's called being human, but part of it's called we were never taught the reason so many of us feel so uncertain about our tomorrow is because we were never truly taught how to deal with it, how to connect with it, and how to kind of move forward.

SPEAKER_01: We were taught, quite honestly, lovingly, how to plan, how to achieve, how to work hard, how to think.

SPEAKER_01: The truth is, very few of us were really taught how to find peace when the future refuses to give us guarantees.

SPEAKER_01: Well, in this episode, I want to share my own personal and spiritual growth, what it taught me, how I learned today how to live in a real sense of certainty, even when my entire world around me is going through changes.

SPEAKER_01: I live in a place of stability because of the spiritual and emotional process.

SPEAKER_01: I went through some very deep and dark times.

SPEAKER_01: So, you know, if you're feeling afraid, if you're feeling overwhelmed, if you're just uncertain about what comes next, I'm really glad you're here.

SPEAKER_01: And I tell the story how years ago, when I went through this process, that seven years of darkness, the internet barely existed.

SPEAKER_01: So there's a much larger sense of support.

SPEAKER_01: Please know that doesn't mean you're not spiritual and all of that.

SPEAKER_01: I hear different preachers online, and this whole concept, well, you just have to trust God.

SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's true, but trusting God doesn't mean your fear is going to be removed.

SPEAKER_01: God's not codependent.

SPEAKER_01: Your higher power, a power greater than yourself, is not going to rescue you out of your challenges, your angst, your emotions, your fears.

SPEAKER_01: No, that is not what your higher power's job is.

SPEAKER_01: And that's part of a lot of confusion, to be completely honest with you.

SPEAKER_01: At least it was for me.

SPEAKER_01: Because I used to say, well, if I believed in God, then everything would be fine.

SPEAKER_01: I didn't have a real strong belief in God.

SPEAKER_01: So I was kind of SOL, to be honest with you, because my relationship was so tattered, not because the power greater than me was ever not unconditional, but because my belief of what it was.

SPEAKER_01: And we're going to talk about that more today.

SPEAKER_01: We are.

SPEAKER_01: And we're going to talk about changes and we're going to talk about the different things you can do to connect inside yourself while your external world is in chaos.

SPEAKER_01: And I honor and I applaud and I'm also empathetic for the massive numbers of people, the millions and millions and millions of people that are deeply concerned because of AI and AI coming in and either a replacing your job or replacing what you do, and the sense of now what?

SPEAKER_01: That's a real live concern.

SPEAKER_01: Now I have to tell you, and I always say this to you Joe's not the solution of what you're going to do next.

SPEAKER_01: Joe's role is to really help you connect within yourself so that you have the strength and courage needed to find your next adventure, whatever that means.

SPEAKER_01: And I tend to break the show up into three different categories: the mental part of self, the emotional part of self, and the spiritual sense of self, because I want people to understand we are truly multidimensional beings.

SPEAKER_01: We are not the ego-centric I as just an infinite I.

SPEAKER_01: We are multidimensional.

SPEAKER_01: And each person has a male side and a female side.

SPEAKER_01: And both those sides, the male side is your mental sense of self and your physical sense of self.

SPEAKER_01: Your the female side is the emotional side and the emotions and the spiritual.

SPEAKER_01: And it's really that feminine side that's waking up so dramatically that people are going through different challenges that five years ago, 10 years ago, you weren't going through.

SPEAKER_01: And it didn't mean you were disconnected or anything wrong back then.

SPEAKER_01: It just means that you're on a spiritual path and things are waking up.

SPEAKER_01: And what I always like to do is I want to, I'm the how-to person.

SPEAKER_01: And I didn't know this ahead of time.

SPEAKER_01: I mean, if you look at, if you look at the Wii podcast, it's ranked number one on Apple Podcast, how to.

SPEAKER_01: And it just kind of developed that way because that's my personality.

SPEAKER_01: I I never asked the question about how do I fix the voices in my head.

SPEAKER_01: Never asked it, ever.

SPEAKER_01: I always asked the question, why is the voice there?

SPEAKER_01: I never asked the question, how do I get rid of this pain?

SPEAKER_01: I always asked the question, how do I heal the pain?

SPEAKER_01: And now, 30 some odd years later, I know why, because I can share from my own experiences how if I, somebody that was addicted to everything and had every codependent personality trait that there was, and you name it, I did it for years and years and had the biggest ego.

SPEAKER_01: I mean, you name it, any challenging, you put a category one to 10, if 10 is the most aggressive, I was a 12.

SPEAKER_01: And I'm not saying that to make fun of myself or to put myself down.

SPEAKER_01: I just I want to be honest.

SPEAKER_01: And I want to be honest in such a way that if I can live where I live now, based on where I came, based on the lack of support that there was, anybody can.

SPEAKER_01: And that's why I say it.

SPEAKER_01: You know, it's interesting because the fears of our tomorrow, the uncertainty today, which causes us the reason we're so uncertain, is not typically about your today, unless you're getting evicted and you can't pay your rent.

SPEAKER_01: But for the most of us, the uneasiness, the uncertainty of today is because we don't have a clear understanding of our tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01: And I'm going to talk about that from the three different positions, how we can kind of work through that, how we can connect to a foundation within yourself that doesn't remove the challenges, doesn't remove the emotion, doesn't remove the expansion and growth, but it gives you a sense of peace, it gives you a sense of stability, a sense of okayness, a foundation of okayness as you're walking through your emotions, as you're going through the changes, as you're expanding into something you didn't even know existed.

SPEAKER_01: So, one of the things I want to state right from the beginning: if you're on a podcast like this, you are a spiritual warrior.

SPEAKER_01: And I'm going to continue to encourage people, and I'll say this several times, listen to the podcasts over and over because you're going to hear different things at different times that are going to resonate.

SPEAKER_01: And if you get in some spot and what something I said randomly, you get really mad about, or you get really sad about, or you just totally disagree, or you love every second, whatever the it is, right?

SPEAKER_01: Because the parts of you that are wanting, needing, you're in that place, you're in that space.

SPEAKER_01: The heel deeper is an emotional journey that if you go too deep, you need support.

SPEAKER_01: Now, a lot of us, that isn't totally the case.

SPEAKER_01: It just depends on how deep your path is guided.

SPEAKER_01: Mine was guided to heal the depths of being sexually abused, neglected, and abandoned to the depths of myself.

SPEAKER_01: So 30 years later I could have a global podcast.

SPEAKER_01: Now, did I know any of that back then?

SPEAKER_01: Did I was I conscious of aware of any of that back then?

SPEAKER_01: All I wanted to do is be able to wake up on a Monday morning or a Thursday afternoon and my elbows be able to lift off the bed because I was in that kind of pain for that kind of long.

SPEAKER_01: These are powerhouse women, powerfully emotionally connected and consciously aware, but their style is just so soft, kind and loving.

SPEAKER_01: It's my story of depth, it's my story of expansion, it's my story of grieving deep, it's my story about becoming aware of emotions and growing into something I didn't even know existed.

SPEAKER_01: I can kind of I can share with you this is the first time I was kind of uncertain.

SPEAKER_01: This is the first time that I'm not at my desk at my house in Atlanta.

SPEAKER_01: I'm visiting family and meeting my new nephew for the first time.

SPEAKER_01: And quite honestly, I had no idea how I was going to be able to record a podcast.

SPEAKER_01: But I had trust in myself that I would figure it out along the way.

SPEAKER_01: And that's part of how we find stability is not the removal of fear, but the trust in our ability to move through challenges.

SPEAKER_01: And, you know, part of the issue and part of the reason that life gets a little easier the older you get if you're in a conscious place, because you can remember the good times even when you're in dark times, you can remember the grandness, even when you're feeling empty, you can remember the feeling of flying, even though today you feel stuck.

SPEAKER_01: And for the so, for a lot of you on this podcast, you've been around your own spiritual journey long enough that there's a natural sense that no matter how challenging it is today, tomorrow or the next day, or the next day will be easier because you've gone through it a lot.

SPEAKER_01: Now, for those of you that are newer to this process, I empathize because I can tell you in the beginning, I'd have a dark Tuesday, and the only thing my brain was telling me about Wednesday is that it's gonna be darker.

SPEAKER_01: And then on Wednesday, I made sure because my brain would tell me Wednesday's darker than Tuesday.

SPEAKER_01: And you know what?

SPEAKER_01: That's fine because we're going to make sure that Thursday, Friday, Saturday is even worse.

SPEAKER_01: And that's one of the things we're gonna talk about here in this in a second.

SPEAKER_01: And for those of you that have been around a while, you know, I kind of poke fun because I'm a follower.

SPEAKER_01: What I'm really good at, I have to say, I've been become very practiced at hearing a power group.

SPEAKER_01: Greater than myself and following that direction.

SPEAKER_01: Well, the day after my dad dies in January, I was scheduled to do a podcast.

SPEAKER_01: And the podcast is Wayne Dyer quotes Jesus.

SPEAKER_01: It's in the middle of, it's in the beginning of January.

SPEAKER_01: I'm grieving most of the time.

SPEAKER_01: I'm in a very dark time.

SPEAKER_01: I'm in a very difficult time grieving the death of a close family member.

SPEAKER_01: But I did the podcast anyways because I wanted people to know it's okay.

SPEAKER_01: You can be spiritually connected and grieving at the same time.

SPEAKER_01: You can be super aware and in depths of dark at the same time were multidimensional.

SPEAKER_01: Well, for any of you, those any of you that have listened to that podcast, you know, during that time we had several family members and a couple of close friends, all elderly.

SPEAKER_01: My father was 90.

SPEAKER_01: He had a great life.

SPEAKER_01: My sister's father-in-law was 99.

SPEAKER_01: He had a great life, and they passed.

SPEAKER_01: But we were talking about the pruning of the old generation and the new generation coming in.

SPEAKER_01: And sure enough, I've over these past couple of months, I have a new, I have a new nephew named Lucas.

SPEAKER_01: I have a new niece named Everly.

SPEAKER_01: And they are just precious additions to our family.

SPEAKER_01: And during the depths of my difficulty back in January, because Lucas wasn't born until the end of January.

SPEAKER_01: My dad died the beginning.

SPEAKER_01: But even during those difficult times, I knew it'd get over it.

SPEAKER_01: I knew I'd move through it.

SPEAKER_01: I knew I would.

SPEAKER_01: And I was looking forward.

SPEAKER_01: And now I've got to meet Lucas, and he's just about as precious as a newborn baby can be.

SPEAKER_01: So I tell each of you, the people that are on a spiritual path and have been for a while, part of the way you find stability isn't by looking at the new job, the new location, the new relationship, the new bank account.

SPEAKER_01: And when you look inside, I want to kind of teach you what you're looking for.

SPEAKER_01: Because, and that's where we're going to get into a larger conversation here towards the end, is what we're looking for, the spiritual guidance.

SPEAKER_01: How do you literally follow that power greater than yourself?

SPEAKER_01: And but I always like to kind of start with the mental side of self and fear, even though 99.999% of all fear is made up, it is.

SPEAKER_01: But what I learned when I finally slowed down a little bit, what I learned was the fear you are feeling today about your tomorrow, where that comes from is the voices in your head.

SPEAKER_01: The voices in your head that are telling you your tomorrow is going to be worse than your today.

SPEAKER_01: And I can I share this with you because today, for Joe, when I think of my tomorrow, I always think about my tomorrow grander than my today.

SPEAKER_01: I'll never forget the first time that happened, 10, 15 years ago, probably, maybe a little longer.

SPEAKER_01: I realized I had crossed over something because before that, it didn't matter how much money I had in the bank, the person I was with, the job I was doing, the how big I was in the gym, none of that mattered.

SPEAKER_01: My voices always predicted my tomorrow to be worse than my today.

SPEAKER_01: That's why many of you have heard the story about the woman that I've yet to meet, that when I read her document September of 2022, she was talking about a grander tomorrow in that document.

SPEAKER_01: That's what re-sparked my divinity after 25 years of kind of being quiet, kind of being super private.

SPEAKER_01: So, what I want to start with today is the how-to is get out that pad of paper and you start thinking about your tomorrow and then start listening to what the voices are saying in your head.

SPEAKER_01: Because they've got the same voices in their head that guided them yesterday are guiding them tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01: Now, if that's taking you to a wonderful place and you're on top of the world and you're writing books and you feel great and you're full of love and you're giving overflow, keep following that voice.

SPEAKER_01: But for the other 99%, the voices of your yesterday are taking you into a place of today that uncertainty is your common, fear is your normal, and you're just as scared of tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01: Well, that's why we want to shift and help you become aware, awareness to the different you.

SPEAKER_01: Then over time we change, we don't change the glass empty voices, we cut the power of them in half, and then we start adding glass full voices, and you start discerning am I gonna listen to and take action steps on the glass full voice or the glass empty voice?

SPEAKER_01: Life coach helps sort all that out.

SPEAKER_01: Now, the emotional component of all of this is hard.

SPEAKER_01: You know, the bottom line, uncertainty means the only reason you're uncertain right now or have any level of fear of uncertainty right now, and you don't feel safe, I don't feel safe with the future right now, is because something is changing in your today, which causes you angst to think about your tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01: If everything you if you'd already gone through the growth, if you've already gone through the awareness, if you already shifted into the new job, the new relationships, the whatever the it is, if you're already there and you're listening, a lot of this is redundant because you're doing it already yourself intuitively, if no other way.

SPEAKER_01: And I don't care what the change is, there's an emotional component to the change.

SPEAKER_01: And then they wonder why years later they're in a new job with a new house, with a cool wife and plenty of money, but they still feel heavy.

SPEAKER_01: By the time I'm here now, in June, 90% of the grief of my dad being gone is gone.

SPEAKER_01: If I hadn't done all that grieving, because my father passes and Lucas was born all within a two or three-week period of time, literally the grieving process or the lack thereof, you can create, you can project your own grief of a parent onto a newborn baby.

SPEAKER_01: And that's the type of stuff that as humanity wakes up more and more and more, we have to be aware that there's a there's an emotional component.

SPEAKER_01: But the whole idea of moving forward and understanding that the way you become stable inside while your external world is so chaotic is not in the pursuit of removing emotion.

SPEAKER_01: But if you're afraid, if you spend all your time trying to pray to remove the fear, then you're sitting still, becoming more and more unstable.

SPEAKER_01: Is he gonna, is he gonna, is he gonna embrace my fear or no?

SPEAKER_01: Because I have 100% confidence in myself that whatever emotion comes up based on the circumstance of my life, I will embrace it, I will give a voice to it, and I will feel whatever I need to feel.

SPEAKER_01: Well, when you go through spiritual growth, the grieving process that happens is a lot of times you have to grieve the old to be able to expand into the new.

SPEAKER_01: The snake sheds its old skin.

SPEAKER_01: I don't know if a snake is literally grieving the old skin, but humanity needs to grieve the emotional consequence called the old you, the old skin.

SPEAKER_01: So as you're awakening more and more and more, and you're growing more and more and more, basically what it means is that you're becoming more connected consciously to a grander you in the driver's seat.

SPEAKER_01: And that's where in the program, in the 12-step programs, you'll hear people say, I'm a grateful recovering alcoholic.

SPEAKER_01: I remember the first time I heard that word grateful, I just thought that person was completely nuts.

SPEAKER_01: I mean, talk about a show boat and this and that.

SPEAKER_01: I mean, of course, my critical voices were horrible.

SPEAKER_01: But what happens, quite honestly, what is a 12-step program?

SPEAKER_01: All of them, AA, Al-Anon, you know, food addiction, drug addiction, all of them.

SPEAKER_01: The 12 steps are 12 action steps to get you closer to a power greater than yourself.

SPEAKER_01: That's what the 12 steps are.

SPEAKER_01: And the service step, which is the 12-step giving back in an AA program, is you help other alcoholics go through the same process.

SPEAKER_01: Well, you walk through that process long enough for a long enough period of time, eventually you create a relationship with a power greater than yourself.

SPEAKER_01: And each person has their own relationship.

SPEAKER_01: There's no right or wrong.

SPEAKER_01: It's each person has their own.

SPEAKER_01: But eventually what happens is somebody does it long enough, they move into that place to where in the beginning they have no relationship with God and their 99.99% ego.

SPEAKER_01: Well, eventually they move in that position where they've got a relationship with the power greater than themselves that reaches that 51% mark, and then 53%, and then 60%, and then 72.

SPEAKER_01: And somewhere when the power greater than you is making most of your decisions for you, that's where you become that grateful recovering alcoholic.

SPEAKER_01: Because with no alcoholism as a disease, no meetings, no relationship with a power greater.

SPEAKER_01: And it's the same in the awakening sense.

SPEAKER_01: What's the difference between religion and spirituality?

SPEAKER_01: But 67% of society considers themselves more spiritual than religious.

SPEAKER_01: What I kind of describe religion more is as creating a relationship with a power greater, if you're a Christian, a relationship with Jesus, where it's kind of you and Jesus walking hand in hand.

SPEAKER_01: Now, how do you do it is a different topic, but I'm gonna get to that in a second.

SPEAKER_01: It's more like hand in hand, where the spiritual awakening process is you becoming one with a power greater than you, not a separate entity than a power greater than you.

SPEAKER_01: We grow, we continue to add new awakening after new awakening after new awakening, and over time it just becomes more comfortable.

SPEAKER_01: Over time, it just becomes a natural part of who we are.

SPEAKER_01: Every new item, whatever it was, on a Monday it didn't exist, on a Tuesday it was there.

SPEAKER_01: I believe that's their divinity inside of them, giving them those ideas.

SPEAKER_01: So the whole idea of waking up and how our spiritual sense of self is where you can gain a sense of stability, a sense of safeness, even though you have no idea what your tomorrow is going to be.

SPEAKER_01: Because when you really understand that a power greater than you, the God of our understanding, looks at us like a child, looks at us like his children, God's child, God's children.

SPEAKER_01: And when I really understood that, right, it just made sense to me that I was so angry at God forever because I said, if God loved me, I wouldn't be in so much pain.

SPEAKER_01: One day I realized it wasn't God that caused my pain.

SPEAKER_01: It was my unconscious parents, it was the environment I grew in, not God.

SPEAKER_01: God was the one giving me the strength and courage to heal my pain.

SPEAKER_01: God was the one giving me the strength and courage to have the wisdom to even know I was in pain, the awakening process.

SPEAKER_01: When you truly understand and where stability comes now in today, is when you commit to truly follow the grander you, how do you follow it?

SPEAKER_01: You can have all the faith in Jesus you want, but if you think Jesus is outside of you, even though the Bible says Christ's consciousness in you a dozen times, now of course no one's going to tell you that from the pulpit because that isn't the belief.

SPEAKER_01: God is here to give you the strength and courage to walk forward, the strength and courage to heal if need be, the strength and courage to find that new job, the strength and courage to empower a community, the strength and courage to find your give back higher purpose, whatever it is.
