Transcript
- 0:00Dayna Roselli: Welcome to episode 74 of Vegas Reveal.
- 0:04Sean McAllister: For the first time in over a decade, the strip has a new resort.
- 0:09Dayna Roselli: We take you to Resorts World and fill you in on what to expect during your first trip inside.
- 0:14SPEAKER_07: Look at this place.
- 0:15SPEAKER_07: It's like almost five billion dollars.
- 0:18SPEAKER_07: And they're doing it so well.
- 0:19SPEAKER_07: It's got three flags, so you can find what level you want.
- 0:22SPEAKER_07: You've got Hilton Conrad or Crockford's.
- 0:24SPEAKER_07: What a place.
- 0:25Sean McAllister: And you had a lot of questions about Resorts World that we get answered.
- 0:30Sean McAllister: Should we get to it?
- 0:31Sean McAllister: Let's spin the wheel.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: Let's go to Vegas, baby.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: Let's go to night.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Let's stay up all night.
- 0:44Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed.
- 0:46Dayna Roselli: It's a big episode.
- 0:48Dayna Roselli: It's Dana Roselli along with Sean McAllister, and we are talking everything Resorts World today.
- 0:54Sean McAllister: That's right, Dana, and we have uh taken our mobile studio to a very prime location overlooking the Las Vegas Strip right now.
- 1:03Sean McAllister: We actually have Resorts World right in our sights, but it's not the outside we're talking about today.
- 1:09Sean McAllister: It's everything you'll see inside.
- 1:12Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 1:12Dayna Roselli: We're actually recording this on a Wednesday.
- 1:15Dayna Roselli: Resorts World opens tomorrow.
- 1:17Dayna Roselli: When you listen to this, it is officially open already.
- 1:20Dayna Roselli: But you know, Sean and I just left, and I think, you know, we decided to just record the podcast now because we're in awe of what we saw all this time.
- 1:30Dayna Roselli: We've been watching it go up, and finally we got inside before the doors open.
- 1:35Sean McAllister: And we're dedicating this entire episode to Resorts World because it's not every day that a new resort opens.
- 1:44Sean McAllister: Something that's built from the ground up on the Las Vegas Strip.
- 1:48Sean McAllister: It's been over a decade since the cosmopolitan that this has happened.
- 1:52Sean McAllister: So we think the Resorts World opening is worthy of an entire episode to itself.
- 1:57Dayna Roselli: That's right, and we have a lot of interviews coming up that we just got.
- 2:01Dayna Roselli: Incredible inside info, and we talked to some of the retailers, the bar owners, uh even the folks that put all the LED signs in place inside the resort.
- 2:13Dayna Roselli: And there's a lot of them.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: A lot.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, there's art everywhere.
- 2:17Dayna Roselli: We're gonna talk about all that.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: Also, you guys asked us a bunch of questions on Twitter, and I got an answer to every single one.
- 2:24Dayna Roselli: So stay tuned for that coming up as well.
- 2:26Sean McAllister: And yes, we will be at that big grand opening party.
- 2:30Sean McAllister: Uh, but you'll need to watch our Vegas Revealed social media for some uh glimpses inside that A-list event.
- 2:38Sean McAllister: Plus, uh, we'll be talking about uh at least the parts that we can remember next week, right here on the Vegas Revealed podcast.
- 2:46Dayna Roselli: We're gonna leave the fun and all that kind of stuff uh to next week, but we know that so many people out there and so many of our listeners have questions about Resorts World.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: You wanna know about the gaming, you wanna know about the restaurants, the retail, uh, what it's like inside.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: And so we want to get right to it.
- 3:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, Laura Coronado on uh Twitter sent us a message and she wants to know she said, food and shopping.
- 3:08Sean McAllister: That's all that I care about.
- 3:10Sean McAllister: Well, Laura, there is good news.
- 3:13Sean McAllister: We have information on the food and the shopping.
- 3:15Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: We went right to Fred Siegel and talked to Ashley Petrie.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: And we had so many questions for her about the new store, including that new Kardashian closet section.
- 3:28SPEAKER_03: So we have some beautiful pieces from the Kardashians.
- 3:31SPEAKER_03: Um, it's actually their first in-store retail experience.
- 3:34SPEAKER_03: It's only been online to date.
- 3:35SPEAKER_03: So we have um a curation of bags and shoes ranging from like Bottega Veneta, Given Chi, Muckler, um, and some other really fancy, amazing brands that we love, and we're so happy to have them.
- 3:47Dayna Roselli: And tell us about that, because people always wonder well, what does that mean?
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: Is it is it things that were gifted to them that they haven't worn, they have worn, or is it things that they bought?
- 3:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think most of it, it's probably a combination of all.
- 3:57SPEAKER_03: Um, I think some of these items have been worn.
- 3:59SPEAKER_03: I mean, the shoes that I'm looking at right now definitely were on Kim's feet.
- 4:03SPEAKER_03: I think we've all seen her photographs looking stunning.
- 4:05SPEAKER_03: Um, and then I'm sure some of the bags might have been gifts or purchases along the way, but it's the full Kardashian Jenner clan, so it's every family member's contributed to this.
- 4:14Sean McAllister: But regardless, it's coming straight from their closet.
- 4:17SPEAKER_03: Yes, straight from that closet that we've all seen on Instagram and are so jealous of.
- 4:21SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 4:21Dayna Roselli: Are you guys excited to be in Resorts World?
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's gotta feel good to be in a brand new, gorgeous property like this.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: We were walking around and we're in awe.
- 4:28SPEAKER_03: We are.
- 4:28SPEAKER_03: I think coming out of last year and everybody being stuck at home and basically imprisoned, it feels so great to be out, getting dressed, part of something brand new.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: There's such a great energy here.
- 4:38SPEAKER_03: Um, and such a great synergy with Resorts World in terms of it being this effortless luxury, so approachable.
- 4:44SPEAKER_03: Um, we feel like we have a really good home here.
- 4:47Sean McAllister: If we have listeners who've been to Fred Siegel stores elsewhere, when they come to this store in Las Vegas, is there gonna be a different feel, a different vibe?
- 4:56SPEAKER_03: There is a little bit of a different synergy with this store, just in terms of it being more of that Vegas, going out day and night, more event-driven.
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: So we do have some special brands here that we don't carry in our other doors.
- 5:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so that brand um Oseri, which is like sparkly, head-to-toe, very glam, um, retrofet, and some of the other things that are um more of our party vibes.
- 5:18Dayna Roselli: Well, and before you go, I I I want to um mention I asked you how much a pair of shoes were, and you were like about 300.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: And I was like, oh, okay, I thought it was gonna be more, but you were saying you have a variety of price points here, and that's kind of the cool thing about this store, right?
- 5:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and that's really the Fred Siegel philosophy.
- 5:33SPEAKER_03: So we are truly this place of discovery.
- 5:34SPEAKER_03: You can come in and find something that's under$50 all the way to something that's$10,000, and it's very friendly.
- 5:41SPEAKER_03: So you might have a really expensive jacket sitting next to like a$20 pair of flip-flops, but it all feels very welcoming, inviting, and part of the Fred Siegel lifestyle.
- 5:49Sean McAllister: So Fred Siegel is part of this huge retail area.
- 5:54Sean McAllister: I mean, if you've been into any of the luxury malls that are attached to casinos, uh i this I mean, really, I think it kind of uh outdoes them.
- 6:05Sean McAllister: It has so many luxury brands, and plus there's in the middle this giant sphere that can either be like a silver sphere with that's reflective, or there's it can turn into a big LED sphere and have anything on it.
- 6:21Dayna Roselli: One really unique store in Resorts World is Pepper, and it's their first store.
- 6:26Dayna Roselli: They have an online store.
- 6:27Dayna Roselli: But Sean, this is something I know our Las Vegas visitors are going to love because it's all about love and connection and well, sexual pleasure.
- 6:39Sean McAllister: Sex and toys and scents and feelings, all of it.
- 6:45Sean McAllister: It's all wrapped into this brand new store.
- 6:48Sean McAllister: It's called Pepper.
- 6:49Sean McAllister: This is their flagship location inside Resorts World.
- 6:53Sean McAllister: They've mainly been an online business.
- 6:55Sean McAllister: They have podcasting, they have uh sex experts and sensual experts that do a lot of the work that's involved in you know giving advice for a lot of this, you know, sexual healing kind of stuff.
- 7:09Sean McAllister: But this is the largest retail space inside of Resorts World, and it's all about sexy stuff.
- 7:17Dayna Roselli: Alright, why don't we send it over to Lincoln and Sarah?
- 7:20SPEAKER_04: Well, I feel like we really have learned that you know, during COVID, the need for connection, and this is a brand all about connection, whether it's with your partner or with yourself.
- 7:28SPEAKER_04: So I think it's really the right time for it, and people are they're ready for it.
- 7:32SPEAKER_07: For your environment, it's really the lack of it, the need for it, and the importance of connection these last year and a half.
- 7:38SPEAKER_07: Wow.
- 7:38SPEAKER_07: I mean it was we didn't plan it this way, but based on what's happened out there, it's a really, really important time for us and for everybody else.
- 7:45Dayna Roselli: Well, and you know, we're a podcast, so we can talk sexual wellness, right?
- 7:49Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, let's let's talk about that.
- 7:51Dayna Roselli: When you say that, describe to people what you mean.
- 7:54Dayna Roselli: What do you offer?
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: What are some of the things that go along with that brand?
- 7:57SPEAKER_04: Well, I would say it's a range.
- 7:58SPEAKER_04: We're a lifestyle brand, so we think of it as the Nordstrom of Pleasure.
- 8:01SPEAKER_04: So we have everything from pajamas and candles and diffusers and oils to kits on on problem solution.
- 8:07SPEAKER_04: Like we solve so many different issues, so if you come into the store, it's a whole journey.
- 8:12SPEAKER_04: Ooh, issue.
- 8:12SPEAKER_04: I like solving issues.
- 8:13SPEAKER_07: Yeah, a lot of it, so sex toys, which is also what we sell, will get a lot of attention, but it really is about connection and how do you improve the connection with that person most important in your life?
- 8:21SPEAKER_07: And as Sarah said, sometimes it's with your partner, sometimes it's with yourself, sometimes it's with your environment.
- 8:27SPEAKER_07: So having the store divided into two different sections, one is a lifestyle section, and the other is the spicy side, gives you the opportunity to really come in, express the journey that you're on through the five senses, and just find whatever works for you.
- 8:41Sean McAllister: And when people think about sexual wellness, that may not be something that they're particularly comfortable talking about.
- 8:48Sean McAllister: Do you think that the fact that people come to Las Vegas to let their guard down is going to, that mood, that atmosphere is going to lend itself to people coming in and exploring Pepper.
- 9:00SPEAKER_07: Yes, we want we feel that permission to play is a really important moniker of ours, and it really is.
- 9:05SPEAKER_07: When people come to Vegas, you know that the tagline, whatever happens in Vegas stays.
- 9:09SPEAKER_07: While that's not the official the marketing slogan anymore, it is a part of Vegas.
- 9:14SPEAKER_07: So we expect a lot of impulse.
- 9:17SPEAKER_07: People coming in, looking around, ex just loving the journey and loving what we offer and being comfortable in the North Some of Pleasure, not being assaulted by toys, which is what you can experience elsewhere.
- 9:28SPEAKER_07: We'll give them the opportunity really to have permission to play and to think about their lives and their connection differently and go, oh, you know what?
- 9:35SPEAKER_07: Maybe I'll try this.
- 9:36SPEAKER_07: So, yes, impulse will be a big part of our business, I think.
- 9:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and I was just gonna say, like the idea that you you come here and you try anything, and so the idea is that then you take it home and you just you put a little bit more effort into your your relationship and your connection.
- 9:48SPEAKER_04: So I think it's gonna be really, really fun.
- 9:49SPEAKER_07: It'll be an interesting experience experience experiment just to see what happens and people come in the store.
- 9:56Sean McAllister: I think you're gonna do really well, don't you?
- 9:58Sean McAllister: Oh, absolutely.
- 9:59Sean McAllister: And if if people are from out of town and they come visit you here, they can still connect with you when they go back home online, right?
- 10:06SPEAKER_07: Yes, peppertogether.com.
- 10:08SPEAKER_07: And it's a very, very comfortable experience also, just like the store.
- 10:12SPEAKER_07: Um we have education, we have podcasts, new articles, ways to improve your connection.
- 10:17SPEAKER_07: We have sexologists, um, relationship experts, so resources that you can use when you go home.
- 10:23Dayna Roselli: And we hear there's a little like secret something if you enter the store.
- 10:27SPEAKER_04: Is that is that true?
- 10:28SPEAKER_04: It's true.
- 10:28SPEAKER_04: If you know, you know.
- 10:29SPEAKER_04: There's there might be a little secret door, but we're not gonna say where or how.
- 10:33SPEAKER_04: But it takes you to the most amazing VIP room that's 750 square feet, and then an access to a 400 square foot patio overlooking the strip.
- 10:41SPEAKER_04: It's gonna be amazing.
- 10:43SPEAKER_04: And what what happens in there, whatever you want?
- 10:46SPEAKER_07: Well, you have to press a doorbell, which is gonna vibrate, and then you're going to see this kind of like Star Trek door open, and then you're going to go down a what we call the four-play corridor, which is this beautiful, luscious red corridor, and you're gonna open into this beautiful 750 square foot room, which has on the far wall.
- 11:02SPEAKER_04: It's my favorite.
- 11:03SPEAKER_04: It's 1600 vibrators on the wall that create this the the logo, the moon on the wall.
- 11:09SPEAKER_04: It's gonna be so fun.
- 11:11Sean McAllister: So, how about we make a deal?
- 11:13Sean McAllister: Anyone who comes into Pepper and mentions Vegas Revealed might get more information about the secret space.
- 11:19Sean McAllister: Yes, and maybe a secret little prize.
- 11:21SPEAKER_07: Oh, prizes.
- 11:23Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 11:24Dayna Roselli: You're you're on.
- 11:26Dayna Roselli: Okay, and Laura, you know, we gotta look at one of the great bars inside too.
- 11:30Dayna Roselli: So we'll talk about that coming up.
- 11:31Dayna Roselli: We want to answer a couple more questions.
- 11:33Dayna Roselli: We had a question from the real Mike Dinny, and he wanted to know more about this donut wall.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: And what he's talking about is a picture that Resorts World put out on their Twitter and their Instagram, and it's this wall with all these different kinds of donuts on it.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: And so we found out that it is actually a piece of art.
- 11:53Dayna Roselli: So it's not, you know, affiliated with any of like a bakery or any.
- 11:56Dayna Roselli: It's just when you walk around Resorts World, there are art pieces all over, and I'm talking really cool art.
- 12:01Dayna Roselli: So we were able to go up to the donut wall, and it's actually, you know, a piece of art that's on the wall that's it looks like the donuts are made of glass.
- 12:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, I think uh the the donuts are uh blown glass, and the decorations on the donuts are all glass as well, except they have been embellished with Swarovski crystals.
- 12:23Sean McAllister: So there's a little bit of bling mixed in with these tasty treats, too.
- 12:28Sean McAllister: Although don't try and bite them, because that could be a bloody situation.
- 12:32Dayna Roselli: Very true.
- 12:33unknown: Good point.
- 12:34Dayna Roselli: Okay, another question we got, and this is a good one, folks.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: Are they charging for parking?
- 12:39Dayna Roselli: That comes from the Vegas Realist, and we asked, and no, they are not right now.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: So all we know is they are not charging for parking at this moment.
- 12:49Dayna Roselli: That could always change, but right now come visit Resorts World and you will park for free.
- 12:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, at least during this, you know, maybe it'll be a honeymoon phase where you know the resort is brand new, they want to invite people in.
- 13:02Sean McAllister: Um, but you know, as Dana said, uh right now it is not in the plan to be charging for parking.
- 13:09Sean McAllister: So good news, especially for all the people who are driving into town.
- 13:14Dayna Roselli: For sure.
- 13:14Dayna Roselli: And we also learned, and you'll see signs inside for the Vegas Loop, and the Loop is gonna make a stop at Resorts World, and we found out that's gonna probably happen toward the end of summer.
- 13:25Sean McAllister: And as we were uh driving around the property today, there are uh a few different parking garages, and uh I think what is gonna be nice for locals, and even if you're driving in from, you know, LA, Arizona, Utah, um there are four different portica shares.
- 13:42Sean McAllister: The the areas that you drive up to valet your car.
- 13:46Sean McAllister: There are four different entrances that have that.
- 13:48Sean McAllister: So I mean that's a a pretty good bonus that that'll really cut down on the amount of traffic that's trying to get into the resort at one time, too.
- 13:58Sean McAllister: It'll be spread out a little more.
- 14:00Dayna Roselli: And Andy Hughes on Twitter wanted to know if there were gonna be any grand opening casino chips.
- 14:04Dayna Roselli: And I've known Andy a long time through social media, and he always has great collector chips, and we asked about that, and there doesn't seem to be any special chip dedicated to the grand opening.
- 14:17Dayna Roselli: And Good Humor Life on Twitter also wanted some pics of the casino floor.
- 14:22Dayna Roselli: Um we did get a little bit of video of the slot machines and the casino floor, so keep an eye on our Vegas revealed social media for that.
- 14:30Sean McAllister: And another thing, uh a question that we got, Dana, uh, was about signage on the casino floor and specifically as it relates to the bathrooms.
- 14:40Sean McAllister: Because casino visitors want clearly marked bathrooms and they want to know that there's a bathroom that's pretty close, especially when they really need to go.
- 14:50Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 14:51Dayna Roselli: I looked around and, you know, there were plenty of bathrooms that we passed on our tour, so I know that there were definitely plenty of options.
- 14:59Dayna Roselli: Um, I didn't specifically look above to see if there were restrooms this way kind of signs, but I did see they kind of are right outside of the bathroom hanging, like, you know, the little female sign and the little male sign, and you can kind of see them ahead.
- 15:13Dayna Roselli: So hopefully there will be enough.
- 15:15Dayna Roselli: We were in the sports book area, and I had to go outside into the hallway to go to the restroom.
- 15:23Dayna Roselli: So some places have some inside, others don't.
- 15:27Dayna Roselli: And speaking of sports books, someone wanted to know if the sports book was gonna be run by, you know, like William Hill or a different operator, but we asked about that, and it's actually gonna be operated by Resorts World.
- 15:38Sean McAllister: Yeah, and Resorts World is kind of uh taking a new approach to uh sports betting and their sports book in in terms of where they place it in the casino.
- 15:49Sean McAllister: You know, other resorts on the strip really carve out a huge chunk of real estate from the gaming floor and dedicate that to the sports book.
- 15:58Sean McAllister: Um Resorts World actually has the sports book housed inside the doghouse saloon, which is uh a bar performance venue, they have some great food on the menu as well.
- 16:12Sean McAllister: Um so look for the doghouse saloon, and you go to the back of that venue, and you'll see the the sports book.
- 16:18Sean McAllister: They have the wagering counter right there.
- 16:20Sean McAllister: It's a really cool setup, and some semi-private uh booths that are set up with a couple TVs right inside there.
- 16:28Dayna Roselli: I know, and I loved, you know, I noticed some really unique things with all the signage in there and how they were all kind of LED screens.
- 16:36Dayna Roselli: We wanted to learn more about this, and we found out this LED screen company, Trustfall, is local here in Las Vegas, and we were able to catch up with Doug Green to talk about how that feels and how these LED screens will play such a huge part in the entire property.
- 16:55SPEAKER_06: Obviously, being a local Vegas company and myself living here, you know, I've watched this project, you know, from the beginning.
- 17:02SPEAKER_06: So obviously it was really exciting when we got brought in.
- 17:06SPEAKER_06: I mean, it what better project to be a part of, especially with a group like Resorts World, who is so tech forward, and they really wanted to set the bar with all the newest technology, and that excites us.
- 17:17SPEAKER_06: That's what we want as well.
- 17:18SPEAKER_06: So it's been really honestly incredible.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: It plays such a big role in even getting around the property.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: I mean, obviously there's a lot of art, but I do feel like the screens are kind of art in themselves because it's always changing.
- 17:29SPEAKER_06: I yeah, they wanted to not just have traditional screens, they wanted some creative uses, even small things, you know, the the ticker around the bar, you know, certain little small things that you may not see, you know, you're not used to seeing it used that way.
- 17:43SPEAKER_06: They were all about finding creative uses for video.
- 17:46SPEAKER_06: Um video captures your attention and holds it longer than static, and that's sort of been proven.
- 17:51SPEAKER_06: So that they were like, well, let's just use that moving forward.
- 17:55SPEAKER_06: It's interesting when you work with a group who does want to change up the thought process.
- 18:01SPEAKER_06: And for my team especially, you know, at the end of the day, we're all geeks, right?
- 18:06SPEAKER_06: We all geek out on technology.
- 18:07SPEAKER_06: So it was exciting for us.
- 18:09Sean McAllister: Well, and in in what ways did you have to really push yourselves and innovate in order to accomplish what Resorts World wanted done?
- 18:18SPEAKER_06: I think the biggest challenge is from a maintenance perspective, right?
- 18:22SPEAKER_06: Because this is high traffic, and so one of the things we wanted to be sure of is that the guests, should there ever be an issue, we want to make sure they never are aware.
- 18:30SPEAKER_06: So we uh you know installed full redundancy property-wide.
- 18:33SPEAKER_06: So if there were to be some you know, unforeseen problem, it automatically kicks in redundancy and a backup hardware piece will kick in.
- 18:40SPEAKER_06: So you'll never see that.
- 18:42SPEAKER_06: And then just small things like making sure that we only have uh we engineered everything ourselves, so there are only three interchangeable parts to replace on any of the panels, and all of which can be done in less than a minute.
- 18:54SPEAKER_06: So, you know, it does allow for that that was I think the biggest challenge.
- 18:58Dayna Roselli: And you know, we live here and are always happy to see local businesses helping out on the strip, which everyone always says is a different world away from the local Las Vegas.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, no, it's not, you know, it it's it comes together really well.
- 19:10SPEAKER_06: It does come together.
- 19:11SPEAKER_06: I think you you said it best.
- 19:13SPEAKER_06: Uh, you know, i if you live here, even though you may not frequent the strip every day, you know, it's something we're all most proud of, right?
- 19:20SPEAKER_06: And it and I think it's sort of the heart of the city.
- 19:22SPEAKER_06: So I I think Resorts World is going to be an incredible contribution to that.
- 19:26Dayna Roselli: Great to catch up with Doug and uh listen, as we said, break a leg and best of luck.
- 19:32Dayna Roselli: We love the local connection there.
- 19:34Sean McAllister: Yeah, that was great.
- 19:35Sean McAllister: You one of the other things that I absolutely love about new casinos, Dana, is to scout out their lounges.
- 19:43Sean McAllister: Because I'm kind of past the stage in my life when I'm like a nightclub person.
- 19:49Sean McAllister: I'm all about the lounge now and just sitting back, having some good cocktails, having some good conversation in a really unique environment.
- 19:58Sean McAllister: And that's what Resorts World is offering up with its lounge that's called Gatsby.
- 20:04Dayna Roselli: And we caught up with John Petty, the managing partner at Gatsby's, and we had a whole bunch of questions for him.
- 20:11Sean McAllister: John, this space is absolutely incredible.
- 20:14Sean McAllister: With a name like Gatsby, people are gonna expect a certain experience.
- 20:18Sean McAllister: So explain what we're gonna have here.
- 20:20SPEAKER_02: The lounge is slightly elevated, right?
- 20:22SPEAKER_02: It's open, and the idea was to create something special and unique uh that drew people in.
- 20:28SPEAKER_02: Um something fascinating.
- 20:31SPEAKER_02: We call them the bubble sphere ceiling.
- 20:34SPEAKER_02: Okay, it's really an art installation um that changes throughout the day, different colors, you can do many different things with it.
- 20:41SPEAKER_02: It's got lots of different capabilities from uh one individual color over in the over 200 balls or you know, pulsating with music, right?
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: As far as the name Gatsby's, right?
- 20:50SPEAKER_02: What do people typically associate with Gatsby's?
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: Fun, party, indulgence, decadence, uh, good times, right?
- 20:56SPEAKER_02: We've got that aligned with everything that Vegas is, right?
- 20:59SPEAKER_02: So you can expect a great level of service, high-end cocktails, um, great music.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: We we'll be playing a classic type soundtrack, we'll have DJs on the weekend with programming, um, but really just a fun, fun atmosphere for people to come enjoy themselves.
- 21:15Sean McAllister: And I want to go back to the installation that's above us.
- 21:17Sean McAllister: You call it the bubble sphere.
- 21:19Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 21:19Sean McAllister: So I want to uh just explain it for our listeners.
- 21:22Sean McAllister: We have kind of this entire uh canopy that is uh just uh almost a surreal feeling with these glowing orbs over us.
- 21:31SPEAKER_02: You did a really great job of explaining it, right?
- 21:33SPEAKER_02: So it actually starts behind the bar, which is in the casino there, and does extend over the entire uh ceiling, right?
- 21:41SPEAKER_02: There's over 200 specific balls here that are range in uh vary in size from 18 inches to 36 inches, um, and they're at different elevation.
- 21:50SPEAKER_02: Like I said, they're individually controlled, right?
- 21:52SPEAKER_02: So you can control them all at once to be a wash or individually different colors, and you have a lot of different opportunities.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: We have sh uh setting that looks like uh a uh a cotton candy sky, right?
- 22:05SPEAKER_02: That goes with the design of the furniture colors here, which is kind of like jewel tones.
- 22:10SPEAKER_02: Um, or you could turn this all into a champagne themed ceiling, which is uh something that we're doing here.
- 22:15SPEAKER_02: Uh we're featuring unique and rare champagnes.
- 22:18SPEAKER_02: And the the the the bubble ceiling kind of is a nod to that champagne.
- 22:21SPEAKER_02: That's where we got the idea with that.
- 22:23SPEAKER_02: But yeah, it's supposed to draw you in.
- 22:25SPEAKER_02: It's definitely unique, something uh something fascinating to look at.
- 22:28Dayna Roselli: And I think people in resorts love a good lounge like this.
- 22:31Dayna Roselli: Sometimes you don't want to have to like wait, you know, by the door, get in, get your seat.
- 22:36Dayna Roselli: This is just um a place that people can come, grab a drink, uh bring some friends, and I'm sure that's obviously the purpose of it, but it's also just as beautiful as anywhere else.
- 22:46SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 22:47SPEAKER_02: It's an extremely beautiful lounge, right?
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: But we wanted to make it approachable as well, too.
- 22:51SPEAKER_02: So it is situated slightly elevated.
- 22:53SPEAKER_02: There's two entrances, one off the casino, and then what we have here, uh which is called the district, which is a uh all the different restaurants and food and beverage concepts are in the district for the most part, right?
- 23:05SPEAKER_02: So there'll be traffic off there, there'll be traffic off the casino, and we want everyone to come in.
- 23:10SPEAKER_02: We want it if you're whether you're just sitting in and having an afternoon cocktail, or you want to spend your entire evening and buy a bottle of champagne or do bottle service at one of our tables, you're welcome to.
- 23:19SPEAKER_02: We'll be open from 11 o'clock in the morning until you know the wee hours of the night.
- 23:24SPEAKER_02: So there's something for everyone.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: The vibe will change as the night goes uh goes on.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: But um, yeah, we want it to be something that people can just come in and not feel that there's a a door presence or what's behind there.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: We want to be out there and show it.
- 23:37Sean McAllister: Yeah, and click hospitality has contributed to uh the the Vegas vibe to nightlife food and beverage uh for years now.
- 23:47Sean McAllister: What have you learned at other properties that you've been able to install here at a brand new ground-up lounge?
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, Click is synonymous with uh vibey type places, right?
- 24:00SPEAKER_02: Um sometimes you can go to a casino bar and you kind of have your run-of-the-mill.
- 24:04SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, it's still good drinks and good service, but it's kind of a standard, right?
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: You know what you're expecting with that.
- 24:09SPEAKER_02: Um click kind of tries to raise the bar um from a level of service, um, atmosphere entertainment, and uh we feel we've done that with this lounge here.
- 24:19SPEAKER_02: Um it's definitely something different.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: It's gonna have a great vibe in here.
- 24:22SPEAKER_02: Our cocktail program is second to none.
- 24:25SPEAKER_02: And uh all you package that all together and you have something special, and that's what you have here at Gatsby's.
- 24:30Sean McAllister: Yeah, I think Gatsby's is going to be one of my new favorite hangouts on the strip.
- 24:36Sean McAllister: It is just so classy.
- 24:38Sean McAllister: They have an incredible cocktail menu.
- 24:40Sean McAllister: Uh, their mixologist behind the bar has put together a really great collection of drinks.
- 24:46Sean McAllister: So Gatsby's Inside Resorts World.
- 24:48Sean McAllister: You definitely want to check that out.
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: And go to our social media, uh, like we keep saying, please, because we did get a lot of video inside, and we're gonna be sharing that.
- 24:56Dayna Roselli: We've got a YouTube, we have our Instagram and our Twitter and Facebook, so check it out.
- 25:01Dayna Roselli: Um Gatsby's, you have to say, it is gorgeous.
- 25:06Sean McAllister: It is.
- 25:06Sean McAllister: It's it's a uh treat for the eyes and the palate.
- 25:11Sean McAllister: But Dana, after seeing all this, we walked all over the Resorts World uh property.
- 25:17Sean McAllister: I'm interested, what were your uh kind of takeaways?
- 25:21Sean McAllister: What were your first impressions?
- 25:23Dayna Roselli: Listen, I've been texting in between all of this, all my friends, my friend in New York City who loves Las Vegas, uh family members saying you need to come to Resorts World.
- 25:34Dayna Roselli: I was so impressed.
- 25:35Dayna Roselli: I I just I don't even walking around there, listen, I know we were there before the doors opened, so yes, it wasn't packed with people and all that, and we got you know a really unique look, but I just feel like every time I turned a corner, there was kind of a new feel.
- 25:53Dayna Roselli: I loved the food hall, that was incredible, and you know, just the lounge areas, and we even walked through where the ballrooms will be.
- 26:02Dayna Roselli: I love the carpeting, it was like this gold and green, I love the fixtures, and I love the LED walls and the art.
- 26:11Dayna Roselli: The art was just fun and re I am not an art person.
- 26:15Dayna Roselli: If somebody said, Oh, do you want to go to an art museum?
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: I'd be like, Not really.
- 26:19Dayna Roselli: But when I was looking at the art at Resorts World, there was something about it that really made me want to look at it.
- 26:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, they do have some really cool pieces, and you know, I I think at some point we'll probably uh try and carve out a big chunk of time and walk around the entire property and snap some pictures of all the art and try and compile that in one place because i it really is uh a really neat collection that they have inside there.
- 26:48Sean McAllister: I think for me, what I love most about it is the new casino smell.
- 26:54Sean McAllister: And it really does have a new casino smell, like everything in there smelled brand new.
- 27:02Sean McAllister: Because it is, and you don't get that.
- 27:04Sean McAllister: It's like I said at the beginning of this episode, it's not that often that we have a brand new property opening up on the Las Vegas Strip.
- 27:14Sean McAllister: So it is exciting, and it is like a breath of fresh air for the entire Las Vegas community.
- 27:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I loved how there was uh you know, the the the walkways are very wide.
- 27:25Dayna Roselli: Did you feel like that too?
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: Like, you know, obviously very high, very wide.
- 27:29Dayna Roselli: So it felt very roomy.
- 27:31Sean McAllister: And it was very light in there.
- 27:33Sean McAllister: I know uh if you listen back to the episode when we talked to Resorts World president Scott Sabella, he talked about the natural light that would flow into the property, and I I felt that as we were in there today.
- 27:48Sean McAllister: It felt like there was just an airiness about the entire environment.
- 27:54Sean McAllister: A lot of casinos, you know, it feels there's lower ceilings, it feels closed in.
- 28:00Sean McAllister: It doesn't feel like that at Resorts World.
- 28:02Sean McAllister: And it's nice and bright, the walls are white, which is, you know, a refreshing twist on what you would expect from a Vegas casino.
- 28:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and a lot of people have questions about, you know, like we said, the casino floor.
- 28:16Dayna Roselli: There were tons of slot machines, right?
- 28:17Dayna Roselli: I mean, there's a lot of slots to choose from.
- 28:20Dayna Roselli: And as we've talked about in the past, you know, this casino is going to be pretty much cashless.
- 28:26Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 28:27Sean McAllister: And they do have a lot of premium games uh on the casino floor.
- 28:32Sean McAllister: And by that I mean like the Buffalo and the you know, like the hangover games and sex in the city.
- 28:40Sean McAllister: Not those specifically, but those types of games that people are really drawn to.
- 28:45Sean McAllister: There was a huge bank of Buffalo machines, which I was excited about because I love that buffalo, and then start the stampede and win a bunch of money.
- 28:54Sean McAllister: Uh but I think people will be very, very happy with the options that they find on the casino floor here.
- 29:00Dayna Roselli: Right, and when you enter, um, I was just thinking back to the art, um, to switch gears just for a second because we're gonna get into one of our tips that has to do with something you'll wanna see at Resorts World for a while, too.
- 29:11Dayna Roselli: But there was a big Elvis as soon as you walk in, and I love that they you know, always pay tribute to the king.
- 29:18Sean McAllister: And listen, if you don't know this about Roselli over here, she is the King's number one fan.
- 29:26Sean McAllister: Anything Elvis, Dana's all about it.
- 29:28Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 29:29Dayna Roselli: I've got I d I love Elvis.
- 29:30Dayna Roselli: I get it from my mom.
- 29:32Dayna Roselli: She was always an Elvis fan, and then when I moved here, I just took an interest as well.
- 29:36Dayna Roselli: And listen, I like the swinging hips and the the songs and the music and just everything that Elvis stands for here in such, you know, it's such a huge deal as far as his you know roots here in Las Vegas.
- 29:48Sean McAllister: And uh we even took Elvis Presley way on our way to get to Resorts World today.
- 29:53Dayna Roselli: Yes, we did.
- 29:54Dayna Roselli: Um but one of the main attractions right now and boy, it is eye-catching.
- 30:00Dayna Roselli: And I'm talking about when you walk into Resorts World, you're gonna see a row of Rolls-Royces.
- 30:05Sean McAllister: And not just any Rolls-Royces, it's like they were plucked straight from the rainbow and put right down, perfectly spaced on the casino floor.
- 30:16Sean McAllister: And we spoke with Jerry Spawn, who is with Rolls-Royce, and he told us all about this incredible collection that you'll see at Resorts World.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: What you see is you see a collection.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: This is uh the Michael Fuchs collection of Rolls-Royce's.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: It's nine very, very highly bespoked Rolls-Royce motor cars, and it ranges the entire um the entire family of Rolls-Royce cars.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: Um, these cars are here.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: Uh Michael's loaned them to Resorts World to celebrate the opening up of this fabulous new property here.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: Um also the opening up of Las Vegas, the opening up of America.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: But you're right, they are colorful, and that's what distinguishes this.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: This is the most colorful collection of Rolls-Royces we have in the world, and it's one of the largest or most public um collection of Rolls-Royce motor cars.
- 31:08Sean McAllister: And what do you think makes it so fitting to have this collection here at Resorts World as the doors open to the world for the very first time?
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: Well, there's a great connection.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: Um, as I'm sure you saw today, uh, here at Resorts World, Crockford's has two beautiful, just stunning eighth generation phantoms.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: And what's interesting, what you might not know, is that both of those cars are finished in a color called Resorts World Red.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: Now, that is a bespoke-named color for us, and that means they own that color at Rolls-Royce.
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: No other Rolls-Royce motor cars will be made in that red color.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: Now, as you come in to the inside and you see this very colorful collection from Michael Fuchs, uh, Michael has built his collection on color.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: Each of these cars is inspired by something different.
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: The Fuchsia, the the Fuchsia Dawn drop head was inspired after a flower that he actually gave to one of our designers in Pebble Beach about five years ago.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: The uh the blue was inspired by a pillow that he had.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: And the orange, the the orange culinary, it's a Fuchs orange is the name of it.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: The it was was a color he came up with.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: He was looking for a particular orange, he couldn't find it.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: And finally, he was in Miami going through swimwear, found a woman's bikini in the color he wanted, sent that to our designers in Goodwood, and that's what we developed for him.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: So it's that it's that personalization, it's it's like that personality that's expressed in in what you do, and that it's very, it's very befitting.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: You know, personality is something that Las Vegas is known for.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: Personality is something that Resorts World has in abundance, and you know, we're thrilled to uh support everybody in coming together to open this up.
- 32:56Dayna Roselli: Well, even we're even known for color, you know.
- 32:58Dayna Roselli: You think of our neon lights, right?
- 32:59Dayna Roselli: It's like you look at the Rolls Royce, it's like fits right in.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: You know, the days of let's be subtle, let's fly under the radar, those days are long gone.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: And what we find is that people that people that come here to Las Vegas, people that are that are uh vacationing or spending time in resorts world, they want to celebrate their success.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: Uh they really want, it's it's not it's a matter of showing your personality and celebrating it.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: And that's what we specialize in, and that's what this collection specializes in.
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: But it also has a very positive turn to it.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: The collection was built to help raise awareness of and raise funds for the Michael Fuchs Foundation, and that's Michael's charity.
- 33:41Dayna Roselli: I mean, I think it's gonna be something that people will gravitate right to, right?
- 33:44Dayna Roselli: When they walk in the door?
- 33:45Sean McAllister: Well, it it's eye-catching, you can't miss it, and it's an absolutely beautiful addition.
- 33:50Sean McAllister: So it's great to have uh Rolls Rice as part of uh Resorts World.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: Well, it's great to be here.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: Congratulations to Las Vegas, congratulations to the team at Resorts World, and I am thrilled to be here.
- 34:02Dayna Roselli: It's great to chat with Jerry, and the reason we made this one of our tips is because this isn't going to be here forever.
- 34:07Dayna Roselli: However, we were asking around, and Jerry thinks they'll probably be on display there till at least the end of summer.
- 34:12Sean McAllister: Yeah, I think there was originally a 60-day display window when they were supposed to be there, but that will likely be extended, um, you know, like you said, Dana, until the end of summer.
- 34:25Sean McAllister: Hopefully they'll stick around for early fall too.
- 34:28Sean McAllister: Those cars just look perfect right there.
- 34:31Sean McAllister: And if you're a car lover, you're gonna love being up close and personal with these rose rices.
- 34:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they are gorgeous, that is for sure.
- 34:38Dayna Roselli: Okay, well, we are gonna go to the mall right now and pick out our outfits for Resorts World Party, and you're gonna hear all about it coming up in our next episode.
- 34:47Dayna Roselli: But listen, we just think everyone's gonna love this property.
- 34:51Dayna Roselli: Get in there while it's new.
- 34:52Dayna Roselli: It's part of Las Vegas and the tradition.
- 34:55Dayna Roselli: You gotta go see the new resort casinos and for visitors that want to come out this way.
- 35:00Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 35:00Dayna Roselli: I'd book there.
- 35:01Dayna Roselli: I think it's a major, major player on the strip.
- 35:05Dayna Roselli: And, you know, I I don't know, Sean.
- 35:07Dayna Roselli: I mean, just talking about, you know, the other groups on the strip, you know, Caesars and MGM and the Wynn and the Venetian, I mean, they all have to be, you know, shaking in their boots just a little because it's a it's a big powerhouse opening down the road from them.
- 35:22Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it's not a a small property either.
- 35:25Sean McAllister: This is a mega resort that is now open on the Las Vegas Strip.
- 35:30Sean McAllister: And again, keep your eye on our Vegas revealed social media accounts.
- 35:34Sean McAllister: We're gonna have our own uh viewpoints of the grand opening party at Resorts World, along with some of the looks inside uh that we got during our uh tour that we just took.
- 35:45Sean McAllister: So keep an eye out for that.
- 35:47Dayna Roselli: And as always, you can buy merchandise.
- 35:49Dayna Roselli: We've got our own shop.

- 36:31SPEAKER_01: Let's go visit.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: Let's go visit, baby.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: Let's go.
