Latest / Full Spectrum Cycling / On the Road with Sven #1 – Tour de Towner – Ride Report and Interviews
Transcript
- 0:01Hello, radio listener. It's Sven. Doing a little experiment out here, uh, with a RODE Wireless GO II to see if we can do some kind of on the road sort of recording versus bringing the big rig along. And, uh,
- 0:17w- uh, for anybody interested in technical stuff, this is simply the transmitter by itself doing the record mode. There's nothing else going on except a little one and a half inch square box doing all the magic.
- 0:29And today is Tour de Towner. We, uh, start out at Uptowner on Center Street in Hamilton, River West, and head north about
- 0:40nine-ish miles, eight, nine miles to traditionally Thirsty Fox, but we've discovered today that they're not open until 6:00 PM, so we're going to another place right up the road called Parkview Pub.
- 0:54And, um, try and make a couple of, uh, reports along the way, see how the group holds together and whatnot. But, uh, it's a beautiful day for a ride here in Milwaukee. It is
- 1:0668 degrees and sunny, and it, it pretty much couldn't be a better day. So I would, uh, recommend trying this ride out next year.
- 1:15It actually h- happens twice a year, uh, the Sunday before Memorial Day, today, and also the Sunday after, or the Sunday before Labor Day coming up in, uh, September.
- 1:27So, uh, i- if you get the chance and you're in Milwaukee, 10:00 AM Sunday before Labor Day will be the next Tour de Towner. I believe it will be the 23rd edition of it. This is the 22nd today.
- 1:39So, uh, yeah, uh, just curious how feasible it is to use this type of a, a rig for doing, uh, on the road podcasting and not having to carry a big, huge box of stuff. So we'll talk again. I am, uh, on my way up to the
- 1:58Parkview Pub. Well, holy mackerel, that ride went pretty quickly. We're already at the Parkview Pub. Uh, folks are locking their bikes up, and this is, m- this is my first time in this place. It, it, uh, is...
- 2:14got, like, couple hundred feet from the Thirsty Fox.
- 2:17That would be our normal destination for this ride, but being as they're closed, we had to, uh, find another venue, and this one presented itself right across the street. I'm gonna walk right up in there.
- 2:30Most of the folks are already inside, so let's see if we can get a taste of the camaraderie and cacophony of the Parkview Pub. [crowd chatter] Oh. Oh, oh, whoa, hey, hey. Sorry.
- 2:48Hey, hey, there's a door there. That, that, the door came pretty quick now. Oh. Marcus Downey, how are you doing? Good. What do you got going there? Got my little, uh...
- 2:57I'm trying this little recorder thing to see how it works for doing, like, on the road podcasting. Very nice. Yeah, it's, um- Kinda fuzzy... which if it were windy in here would be a big help, but [laughs]
- 3:10I'm just kinda interested in how it, uh, hears what's going on around it and- Right, right... uh- If you wanna get some wind, just go to Lloyd [laughs] There he is. We got Lloyd. We got Mike. We got Kim. We got Steven.
- 3:24We got Jerry. Oh, we got Max. We got a lot... There's a lot of people on this ride. This is bigger than the normal ride, so. Right. Have you ever seen this before?
- 3:32The last time we did make it to that bar across the street. Um- To, yeah... what is it called? Thirsty Fox, yep. Yep, I remember that. Yeah. I think we actually ate there, didn't we?
- 3:41I think we had Ruffles, if nothing else. Ruffles with ridges. No. [laughs] I thought we had a burger. Yeah, I think they made small burgers maybe somehow. I...
- 3:51This place has a fan out back, so I think they must make food. What is that? Hello, Michael. Speak into the fuzzy thing. Speak into the flower. Yep, we're, we're doing a, a- Speak directly into the flower.
- 4:02Konk, konk, konk, konk. [laughs] That's gonna go thump, thump, thump, thump. [laughs] Yeah. [laughs] This is all audio engineering. Yes. [laughs] Michael, the audio engineer, is on site, so
- 4:12yeah, I think we're gonna- Syphilis. Syphilis. We're doing a, a bit of a test- Syphilis... and, um- Syphilis, symbiote, syphilis, symbiote... yeah, there's, uh, 20 plus people in here, so lots of activity. And
- 4:25we'll do another report. Maybe from the waterfall we'll do a quick stop. Yeah? Right on. [water rushing] Hey, everybody. Pretty sure this thing's recording. Not 100% sure, but sure enough to talk into the mic if it is.
- 4:43Standing here in front of the waterfall at Klutz Park. Don't jump. Ooh, that looks like a sketchy stone. Yeah, it's, uh, flowing pretty well. Couple of stuck logs, but otherwise very scenic. Different route home.
- 4:58Most of the people on this ride, the Tour de Towner today, just for some reason, took the same way back to the place we started instead of doing an alternate route with a waterfall and other cool scenery shit.
- 5:10But, uh, maybe they just don't know. I don't know. Anyway, let's see. JK's over here. Hey, JK. Hi. How's, how's it going? We're, we're here- I'm very good... we're here riverside in, uh, Klutz Park.
- 5:23I found the outdoor latrine. Is it right down the path there? [laughs] It's down the path. It's very moist down there. Ah, yes, and in fact, there's an entire river, so.
- 5:32The only problem is, uh- Did you, did you make all this with a single peeing, or is it- No, no, no, no. But I, I- Multiple... I, I feel... No, I'm part of... I'm hitting the ground, which feeds the water, which-
- 5:42I like the idea of- I'm, I'm playing the long game... going up to the headwaters of the Mississippi and stopping the flow and seeing if six months later if it turns- Yeah, making Greg River again... but...
- 5:51Oh, that was a... I wish I had some video. I- [laughs] I think we do somewhere. I just freaked out enough not to probably record that, but- [laughs]... that was a significant amount of water flowing, that's for sure.
- 6:02To this moment, yes. You have changed the topography of- Well, no, I think-... this Zion path... I think it's cyclical. I just hopped along- I, no, but-... on its cycle... yeah, you just gave it a little kickstart.
- 6:11Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was good. Unbeknownst to me With a single small stick less than an inch around It looks like you have, uh, cosmetic products. Yes. Like you're, uh, the Avon lady. I will put it on my nose.
- 6:23Ee, ee, ee, ee, ee, ee. Maybe he's born with it. Maybe it is. L'Oréal. I don't think we need it on there here stream-side, but it does cut down the wind noise if you're, like- Mm... out in the wind. I'm curious how the
- 6:36babbling brook is gonna sound in the background. It'll sound like this. Awesome. [laughs] Yeah, except I don't have to make that noise 'cause we're standing right here. Right?
- 6:48Yeah, I'm not- It will diffuse the ums and oohs and ahs and- We should have, like, an over under day for when that little log dislodges from the top of the dam. Yeah.
- 6:58Or- I'd say the next time it rains, whatever day that is, there might be a little higher flow... or whoever wants to get rid of the bramble hanging out in the middle, which is slightly unfortunate.
- 7:06That big one over there? Yeah. I don't know. There's a couple fisher folks down in there. Well, it's a free-for-all for that property. It's like, come on in. So it's their responsibility. Yeah.
- 7:15Look at that big huge one across the street that got cut down some- This-... long time ago. Look how big that thing was. It's, uh... It's, you know, hey, you chose to buy that property.
- 7:25[laughs] I'd like to have one of those as- Oh, shit. Yeah. Well, actually, yes. My latrine, there was a guy working on one of the properties. Oh, nice. Thankfully, there was no eye contact made.
- 7:35Well, we're on the, uh- 'Cause I would've basically crawled back out. [laughs] But here's the nice thing. We're on the public side in Clutch Park, and we get to basically- I was clutching [laughs]...
- 7:42enjoy the same things, except we can't sleep here mostly. That's really the difference. Yep. So- Bring your own travelers. Yeah. Good- Hello, everyone... good stuff. And, and on the, uh, top shelf- Oh, top shelf.
- 7:54Who made it with us? There's Marcus, who's yelling bye. Oh, Marcus. Mar- We got, uh, Kimberly and Lloyd. I think that's all that... Again- Lloyd is over there, Lloyd... the other people- L-...
- 8:04went on their own back-the-way-they-came route, and I think they, they're missing out 'cause this kicks ass. Well, the point of the ride always was to hit the waterfall. True that. So- And we have done it...
- 8:15we are being allegiant to the waterfall portion of the program, which they could have just one Mississippi, two Mississippi and gone. But no, whatever. I can't cheat. I can... Well. Only lead by example.
- 8:28Not always a good one. Right. But by example nonetheless. All right. Well, cool. We're gonna k- get out of here pretty quickly and, uh, probably do another report from the Uptowner. I think we're, uh,
- 8:42gonna have lunch up there or some such. A ham, apparently, except for the fact that nobody knew how to start the smoker. Yeah. At least that was the, I- Yeah... semi-report I heard, and I don't know.
- 8:55Well, we'll find out when we get there. All right. Exactly. Next time- At least it's pre-cooked ham... or later. [laughs] Right? Yeah. All you gotta do is warm it up. Yeah. Hell yeah. Throw the fucker in the microwave.
- 9:03Don't worry about it. [laughs] Ham slices on the hot pot, hot plate. [laughs] We were making- Oh, well-... podcast radio magic. I'm not sure we did. I don't know if it records.
- 9:20There's no easy way to tell on this thing. We'll find out. Hey, I can tell you if, uh... Hey, I'm at Clutch Park at the waterfall. I'm not 100% sure our previous little recording recorded, so, um, I... Maybe.
- 9:35It's hard to tell. That would be a user interface thing that might make the Rode Go Wireless Three, when it comes out, a little more friendly for a single, uh, recording device, just to let you know.
- 9:49I think it's recording now, but I have no idea. It... The right-hand one flashes, but not all that often. It was doing that before a little bit, so I don't know. Anyway, Clutch Park, tour de Towner at the waterfall.
- 10:01Had a nice conversation with JK, but if it didn't record, it didn't record. If it did, it did, and you will have already heard it. So, um, yeah, anyway,
- 10:10be down at, uh, Uptowner in just a little bit and maybe do another report from there. Right on. Outside or inside? Hey, everybody. Outside. We're at Aliota's now at, uh, what is it? Humboldt and Santa Monica Boulevard.
- 10:28Hampton? Oh, yeah, Hampton, not Humboldt. [laughs] Whatever. And, uh, just are s- finishing up the tour de Towner.
- 10:34Got a couple miles back to the bar still, but, uh, nature calls, and you stop at Aliota's and grab a beer and blah, blah, blah. And there's only... Of the original crew of... How many do you think there were? 25?
- 10:47Probably. Don't sit at the white table. She just painted them is what I understood. So we're gonna- What, are you gonna go out in the sun? That's great. [laughs] There? I'm gonna sit in the shade.
- 10:58Because of these- You can sit out there if you want. Gotta get your, uh... You gotta get your beach body back. No, I think maybe without the helmet might be good. So we're, we're seriously right on Hampton Boulevard,
- 11:13and, uh, yeah, it's a pretty busy street. But Aliota's has a nice little, uh... Ooh, that's metal. Nice. Uh, patio thing, which is awesome, and outside.
- 11:24I've never, I've never- And it's about 70 now, so it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Uh, all we got left here is Lloyd. You ever come here, or you've never, never? Lloyd, Lloyd, say howdy. What's up?
- 11:34That was Lloyd. What? And Marcus. Where's Teddy? J- there's just the three of us left. Marcus. Where's Teddy? Peace out. Peace out. Where's who? Teddy. I don't know. [laughs] Tony. Tony.
- 11:45Oh, Tony crashed into a car last week. Oh, what? He, he ran into a car. We discussed this on last week's show, and he says the car turned in front of him.
- 11:54But he was on an electric bike, and he was jamming on it after a stoplight. And the guy did pull in front of him, and he did hit the guy.
- 12:03I'm giving him about 50/50 culpability because he should know that cars don't know that e-bikes move that quickly. Yeah, but see, that's the whole thing. Like, how I gauge traffic and how we're moving. Yeah.
- 12:13So, I mean, damage to the vehicle- People on bikes go, go 10 to 12 miles an hour. Eh, it bruises and whatnot, and I, you know... But still, anyway, um- He's old and feeble though, so [laughs] Yeah [laughs].
- 12:23Old and feeble. Tony is old and feeble. I saw, I saw him on the road, and I figured he'd come to Sue and tell him. When he listens to this show, he's gonna be like, "Goddamn those guys. I'm gonna fucking kill them."
- 12:31Thanks, Tony. Thanks, Tony. He got a new helmet I'm super excited to try on, because my helmet is now two pieces instead of the original one piece. He, what? His shit split?
- 12:41No, mine has, like, the inside is just, moves around- I'm thinking about him... compared to the shell. Oh, okay.
- 12:46I'm s- Oh, yeah, he did get a new helmet though, 'cause he's hit his head on that helmet more than once, so- Ooh... it's like time to maybe get a different one.
- 12:53I'm gonna buy a helm- I'm gonna have, I have to have a helmet for my highlight. So that's why I have my helmet. Um, I might have a helmet for you, maybe. You need a, um, a Petzl- Yeah, Petzl makes the-...
- 13:05climbing helmet I got, you know- Yeah, that's what we had for rigging... so this way, so my- Awesome... my helmet I'm buying is a helmet I'm gonna use when I, I have to have a helmet when I'm on a track.
- 13:14I have to have a s- saying that tactical r- it's a t- it's a half tactical, half climbing. It's the new fucking- Okay... modular type of helmet.
- 13:21Yeah, I'm sure Petzl makes a version for that, 'cause they make the baddest ass helmets, but- So I can, I'll ride with it, I'll climb with it, and I can put it on my race uniform.
- 13:30The one thing, I think, with ours when we got them in Vegas was they weren't E-rated until we got a new version or something. Yep. What do you say E-rated was? Uh, for electrical conductivity.
- 13:39So somebody's tying in 200 kilowatts of power. Yeah, so shock. So you're not, it's not melting through your fucking head. It's not kilowatts, TVs. What? [laughs] Yeah.
- 13:46It's not fuming, it's not gonna fuse to your fucking brain bucket. I don't know, but that's a lot of- The likelihood that we would be near the power being tied in is unlikely. Yeah.
- 13:55It's, like, tying in power for two city blocks- Yeah... in New York. But anything's possible. But that's what our company decided- Nope... we needed to have that. That's, like, doing the deal. Yeah. Oh.
- 14:05And they- Le- less is more. They cost, like, 20 bucks more to have that certification, basically. But then you're covering all your fucking, all your fucking- Yeah, that's why-... all, all your gear basically...
- 14:13obviously, for your, for your situation- No biggie... there would be- Yeah... a bunch of different, probably Snell and a couple other things that would certify helmets- It's, yeah...
- 14:21that you'd use in the environment- Well, everything I get, every-... you're talking about... all, like, all of that- That'd be a badass helmet... stuff, no nylon.
- 14:26It's gonna be leather, and then if it's gonna be synthetic, it's going to be synthetic that's not burn at certain levels. Like, to, like, centigrades, um- [laughs]
- 14:35Well, I mean, 'cause it's gonna be- Like, the outside'll be leather? I, well, it's gonna be hi- it's 190. Like, in the suit, they said, uh, you- What are you, an old football player? No, dude. I mean, I'll...
- 14:46There, there's some synthetics that you can use, but they said, like, the old school leather shit combined with, uh, the synthetics. And- I see Spencer. I see Spencer in his truck.
- 14:57[laughs] Spencer is inbound to Aliota's on Hampton and- Is that Spencer Spencer? I don't know. There goes a cop too. Why doesn't, why isn't he stopping him? Dude, that's him right there. Tell Zach!
- 15:10[laughs] Get over here. What's he got, like, a... Has he got a donut on the front? He's got, like, a half ass- Has he got a space saver? He's kinda G-heto'ing that thing around. Geez.
- 15:19[laughs] All right, anyway, Aliota's. Gonna head over to Towner and finish this thing off. Thank you very much. Only three survived. 10-4, one night over. And then there were three.
- 15:31Well, you were pretty accurate on the, um, mileage. We're at 14.87. Yeah, we'll be at, like, I'll be at 20 miles. Fuck. Not that I need a bunch of fucking media hype like I do. [laughs] Back at Aliota's right now.
- 15:46Just something interesting came into my mind besides Lloyd's polar plunging this year. Uh, so we're on the corner of Santa Monica and Hampton, but this is where I can see Whitefish Bay, Glendale.
- 16:01And- We're sitting in Milwaukee right now, and Shorewood is just down the trail. [laughs] Yeah. We're within... It's like, it's like the Four Corners region- It's like the Four Corners...
- 16:09but only jurisdictionally in Smallwaukee. I will maybe get a aerial view and sh- I'm gonna take my drone out and take some shots of it. It's gonna be badass. Not. You know what's kinda crazy?
- 16:24A young lady was shot over there in a double firearm incident right there on that corner, across the street. In the CVS Pharmacy area? No, no, right by the White- the, see that limestone brick building?
- 16:34Oh, yeah, that's Cradles Cradles. Those were, uh- That's where U- uh, Gonzalo lived there. Remember that? Yeah, I do remember that. Remember, this is my- My dad lived back in there a couple blocks back a long time ago...
- 16:43this is like when, this is like when I would drive to come and see him, coming to this building was, like, the fucking craziest ride of your life.
- 16:51'Cause you're going there, are you ever gonna make it to where you're going after the fact of you doing whatever it is that you're doing at that point? Those were, those were times. Yeah, those were times.
- 17:03All right, well, yep, this'll break in. Thank you very much, Lloyd, Marcus. Oh, sorry. Wait a minute. Wait, you're recording me? [laughs] No. No. Oh. No drunk uncle- Uncle bad guy... villainous.
- 17:17[laughs] Holy shit, 'cause I was just letting all kinds of shit fly there in the, uh- All right, five to zero. All right, uh, we're at, uh, Amorphic.
- 17:31Rode back from the waterfalls, blah, blah, blah, which was very nice, and now we're at Amorphic, which is right by the shop.
- 17:36And in fact, I'm walking through the brew area to go back into the area where the shop will be to see what kind of work we have to contend with, 'cause some fucking shitheads blew into the, uh, other building again.
- 17:51Oh, Beer Alley's open. Let's go check Beer Alley out real quick. Yeah, this is one of the perks of this place, Beer Alley. [birds chirping]Pretty sweet, eh? Oh, love it. Yep, Marcus is walking along.
- 18:08We're gonna go check out the spot and see what kind of work we need to do to start getting bikes over here so shitheads don't get their hands on them. Walking through the illegal area. No performers today.
- 18:22So here's one of my minor concerns is that wall only goes up as high as that beam, so- Why is that a problem? Just because of noise, not- Oh... ingress or egress or anything, but, um- At least for awhile...
- 18:33when they're making noise or when we're making noise, 'cause I plan on partying, you know, pretty well in here and- [laughs]... we need music and that type of stuff, so there's gonna be some give and take I'm sure.
- 18:43Yeah, see, [exhales] shit in the way. But my plan would be to figure out how we're gonna utilize... So the, the L shape going into the shop will be basically along that beam that's just to the right of that yellow pipe.
- 19:02So approximately here will be on that side a wall. This side will stay the same, so somewhere in here we blow a hole through that to get into the, what will be the workshop area.
- 19:14And- But weren't you talking about blowing into this to get in here? Oh, that'll be a little different a little further down the road. Oh, okay.
- 19:21Just so we could, I mean, really we can just walk out the front door and take a right and go out to Beer Alley. I mean, having a door there would be sweet, but- No... it's probably unnecessary.
- 19:29What I like here is I see a lot of power. Oh, there's tons of power in here.
- 19:32We'll, we're gonna lose at least one of those, so if we can get to there, we'll just take that one out, terminate it at that spot, and put the opening somewhere in here. Yeah.
- 19:42'Cause there's a couple of these big-ass doors. Line up the S4, wow. Yeah. [laughs] There's some sweet stuff in this place.
- 19:50Um, so, you know, this is the temporary front door, but these big-ass doors, there's three of these doors, so we could use a couple of these
- 19:59right on that wall into the shop just to look badass as fuck, and also it's pretty secure, 'cause it's big-ass and metal. Right. Think I'll take a picture of that. Look at that old Dino sign up there.
- 20:09Yeah, I'd put- [laughs]... I'd put bigger eyeballs on the top of that thing. Uh, yeah, these were suspended- Those are-...
- 20:16in the other, somehow in the other building they're, these were, or at least two of them were used. Three A's. Yeah. We could make it- Tallers... And they're tall as fuck, you know? Right.
- 20:26So yeah, this is [engine roaring] The building is much more secure just in the fact that there are people in and out of it all the time. Oh, yeah.
- 20:36Also, I see some of my chairs that they thieveried, especially that red one. From where? [laughs] 'Cause I had them over at the other building. No shit. They're all their Flux stuff, so, you know.
- 20:47Anyway, so a little tour of the potential shop area at, um, right in the same building as Amorphic. 3700 North Threntney. Oh,
- 20:59if all I had to do was be like, remember when we were talking about your buddy having the dope cam on his head? Yes. [laughs] It's like- Oh, Stephan? Stephan, yeah.
- 21:07I was j- just gonna walk around and just talk all the time and [laughs] I need somebody to edit out all the chaff and whatnot. That's funny. [metal clanging] Ah. Back at the bar here.
- 21:19Did you hear that dad sound when I sat down? It's like, "Ah." [laughs] I made these chairs. Well, these parts of them. All right, everyone, uh, probably a final bye-byey from, uh, Towner, but 10-419 over.
- 21:33Appreciate that inspiration. Yeah. All right, radio listener. This is Sven on the road. [upbeat music] We are back at Uptowner, where we started the...
- 21:42Well, started at shop, but started this morning on this tour de Towner ride. I think all in we were probably 17, 18 miles, give or take.
- 21:52And I'm talking to you from outside right here on beautiful Humboldt Boulevard, which has been recently repaved.
- 21:58For the not too distant future we have, uh, an entire one half of the boulevard is bike-friendly and the other half is all cars. Not gonna stay that way.
- 22:07But anyway, um, I'm gonna walk into the Uptowner and I have no idea what's gonna happen after that, 'cause it's a band playing in there. This is the, the Alex Wilson Band, Tom Wilson on the bass, uh, blah, blah, blah.
- 22:20So let's just, uh, here's, here's to experimenting with sound. I'm walking in the bar. [upbeat music] Yep, as I said, fucking band in here. Gonna
- 22:42head out the back door and into the courtyard. See what's going on back there. Are you cooking, Steven? Yep. What you making? Uh, burgers, corn. We got these bacon-wrapped pickles in the smoker. There's a whole ham.
- 23:01Oh, is that the smoker? Yeah. Steven spearheaded the, uh, [laughs] fucking acquisition of a smoker for this bar. I'm gonna have to take a picture of that smoker, 'cause that's pretty badass. Oh. Lloyd is, Lloyd is back.
- 23:17I was, I was DFL. Yeah, what are you- Dead fucking last. Yeah. Well, I guess you were, but hi. I, I did make a few stops on the way though. Where did you stop? We stopped at Aliotas, which Lloyd was at- Oh...
- 23:29and then I stopped at Amorphic too. Oh, okay. [laughs] Because Marcus' vehicle was at the shop, so. What do you have? Is that a microphone? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [laughs] Yeah. We're done.
- 23:41I'm kinda doing a man on the street thing here. You guys are all out in public, so I don't get any of your fucking business, and you don't fuck with mine. Well, he just, he just- No, it's, look, it's like a totally-
- 23:50He just sampled, he just sampled the moonshine. What is your, what is your general reflection and/or, um, general, in your consensus, what is the moonshine? I thought it was good. [laughs] I had it at the other place.
- 24:06Yeah, it's [laughs] He hasn't busted it out for me yet. I just got here though. I see Erwin the dog with the largest dick per square kilometer of dog there is. That's true, he does have a big penis- Yeah...
- 24:16for, for a little dog. Not, not dragging on Erwin. [laughs] Looking all sketchy. He is the talk of the town. Not looking over here You need to be blindfolded What's up, man?
- 24:29Yeah, I was just kinda trying it out because, so this, this actual wireless Go II, this is one of two of these, and normally you would have a receiver on your camera that this would send a signal to, so you do video and it would record and all that shit.
- 24:43Better sound. But, but they just enabled a new thing recently where you can just take one of them out, push the button and record whatever you want in a little tiny thing, like this big. And this is the, the mic on it?
- 24:53Well, under there, yeah. I just put that on there 'cause of wind. Oh. But yeah. Oh. So, and you can put a lavalier in there, like you could put it in your back pocket.
- 25:01Put a lav, like a normal TV, you know, news kinda thing or something. I, it's, I just, they just enabled it, so I don't even know how- When is it gonna come out?
- 25:09I mean, there's a, there's a lot of fucking racket here, I'll tell you that much. But- Mm-hmm... um, so I'm just doing a test to see, and we did the tour de Towner today. You did, huh? Well, he did.
- 25:19You were nowhere to be fucking seen, I, I must say. [laughs] No, I was sleeping. [laughs] I was sleeping. No, no. Yeah, we d- yeah, it was a good ride. Wasn't it? Yeah, it was all right. It was a good ride.
- 25:29That's a good, that's a good ride length. It's- Probably under 20. I, I would say 6... 17, 18 miles. That's, uh. [laughs] Oh, there's Skip Uliok. Yeah. [laughs] Skip. Hey, you can't get that at Walgreens.
- 25:41You fucking cross-dresser. [laughs] Listen, motherfucker. [laughs] Purple pumper. You fucking fishnet stocking cross-dresser. Well, you got some on, or...? What? Fishnets. Yeah, you fuck. Motherfucker.
- 25:55Do you have them on? Where's my band? [laughs] Hey. Don't tell me you never wore fishnets for fun, Skip. I wanna ask you a question as an artist up front. All right. I'm gonna... Wee, doggie. See what we do, bro.
- 26:09That, that was some, that was some risque conversation over there with those fine people. [laughs] I, I, I said- More risque than the dog dicks?
- 26:16I told him I know he's got fishnets under there, but he won't take his pants down, so. [laughs] All right, everybody. Uh, probably gonna cut it here and fade out.
- 26:29Hey, man. Hey, hey, people. It's only 4:15. Sitting at Uptowner. Uh, Alex Wilson's band is on break.
- 26:47Still kinda noisy in here, though, I think. But, um, I think it was all around a great day. This is where we started. It's where we ended. Lots of good food at the end here. S- Steven was doing a great job on the grill.
- 27:05So, we gotta kinda figure out more segues and shit to kind of figure out the different stops along the way. But mostly, we had a good time. Keep it fucking rolling, boy.
- 27:23Hope it's somewhat coherent, and we'll do this again. Later, Bob. Spend on the road with Accoutrement. Keep on her toe
